Cave to Islamic Culture or Remain American Culture?

Justin Smith found an article reporting on Muslim employees working at an Amazon plant – wait for it – in Minnesota. The same Minnesota that has been the recipient of huge amounts of counter-American-culture Muslim refugees. Minnesota has apparently imported enough America-hating Muslims to elect a Muslim Attorney General that has schmoozed with Islamic terrorist loving organizations such as CAIR and who also associates with Jew-hating racist Louis Farrakhan. Yup, that would be the former DNC Co-Chair Keith Ellison elected in November to be the next Attorney General of Minnesota.

I have no doubt Muslim refugee influenced voters to elect Ilhan Abdullahi Omar into Office who replaced Keith Ellison in Minnesota District 5 as the Dem Representative in November election. Even though Omar campaigned an Israel neutral campaign, after her victory she unsurprisingly displayed an allegiance to the Islamic terrorist paradigm of a Palestinian State replacing Israel which would mean another Jewish Holocaust this time within the Jewish Homeland. Omar received campaign support from CAIR which has a proven association with Islamic terrorist/Jew-Hating Hamas which in turn is the Palestinian subsidiary of the global Caliphate-minded Muslim Brotherhood network.

Understanding Minnesota’s two high profile elected Muslims to the crazy part of Islam, you have to wonder where their votes came from. A Minnesota Public Radio (MPR) News article talks about the election demographics in Minnesota District 5:

… The district, which covers Minneapolis and some surrounding suburbs, is growing. Since 2007, it’s gone from 583,700 residents to roughly 708,000 now, the largest of any in the state.

And many of those residents are young — and trending younger. The 5th is Minnesota’s youngest district by far, with a median age of 34 years old, down from 37 years old when Ellison was first elected [Blog Editor: Ellison elected 12 years ago].

The millennial age group, ranging from 22 to 36 years old, also makes up the greatest share of the voting-age population in the district at 35 percent, or more than 200,000 voters. (Are demographics destiny in the 5th District? By Briana Bierschbach; MPR News; 8/7/18)

Keep in mind the dominate political party is a local populist party that has increasingly leaned Left – Democratic–Farmer–Labor Party (DFL). The DFL is local but national purposes caucuses with the Democratic National Committee (DNC – aka Democratic Party, I often shorten to “Dems”). High School and College age students have been groomed for decades in Multicultural Marxist-Socialist principles. Hence, the largest voting age group that are non-Muslim are so brainwashed into Multiculturalist principles they have little to no concept voting for Muslims pretending to Left of Center are supportive of Ellison and Omar regardless of their un-American pro-Islamist and Jew-Hating racist associations.

Due to the amount of Muslim refugees primarily from Somalia, there was also an affinity from this unnaturally large voting block to vote for all things Islam. Consider this excerpt from SC (as in St. Cloud, MN) Times:

ST. CLOUD — Anecdotal evidence, exit polls and overall turnout rates indicate Minnesota Somalis voted in high numbers last week.

To leaders and experts, it was a demonstration of political enthusiasm as well as a glimpse of the community’s potential elective power.

The Somali community is getting more politically active and more Somalis are running for public office and winning, including Ilhan Omar, who will be one of the first Muslim women to serve in the U.S. House of Representatives.

The community now has representation in the Minneapolis City Council, the Minnesota Legislature and U.S. Congress.

Somalis as a group tend to be politically oriented, and certainly community oriented, Abdi said. They have a tradition of passing along information to one another by word of mouth. The Somali language was only written down in the 1970s, meaning its oral traditions have continued, she said.

Another factor is that for so long, Somalis have been denied the opportunity to participate in government by civil war, a failed state and decades spent in refugee camps.

“They are beginning to embrace the opportunity to be able to make a difference with the vote,” Abdi said.

Many families also have a vested interest in the outcome. They have families in the refugee resettlement or immigration pipeline, waiting to come to the U.S.

Motivated by Trump, against hate

The negative rhetoric around immigration and refugees by Trump and other politicians has motivated the community, Abdi said.

“It’s so shocking and so horrifying. It defies the hope they experienced with the hope of Obama,” Abdi said. “It’s inspiring people to say we have to stand up and we have to defy the network of hate. We have to refuse to be villainized or to be called criminals.”

… (How did Minnesota’s Somali community impact election results? By Stephanie Dickrell; SC Times; 11/11/18 8:00 a.m.)

You can tell the tone of this local publication is pro-Somali refugee. The people are so brainwashed that they do not comprehend that all things Islam is contradictory to America’s Founding principles and U.S. Constitution. Islamic history demonstrates that once a Muslim majority is established, the original non-Muslim inhabitants will their freedoms and Liberty restricted to be subservient to Islamic principles (SEE ALSO: 1,400 Years of Christian/Islamic Struggle: An Analysis).

Friends, the American Left has been remarkably successful in transforming America into the portrait THEY want Americans to see as normative. The Leftist transformation began long before Barack Obama was elected removing all doubt of the Leftist agenda to change American-Christian values into the values the Dems defiantly tell their listeners are actual American values. Namely, Multicultural Secular Humanistic values devoid of a Judeo-Christian influence yet deceptively accepting of all other religious faith values, even those religious values such as in Islam which would destroy the Left if became the politically dominant vision.

Now to the Justin Smith post on the Facebook Group Social Media Jail Conversations for Conservatives & Counterjihadists. Justin discovered that an Amazon plant in Minnesota staffed primarily by Somali Muslims wanted to go on strike due to increased work load. The Somalis apparently are not protesting increased labor as much as being upset the work load allegedly removes the ability to pray five times a day during the work period. The article is quite pro-Islam portraying Muslims as victims even though in American culture, secular oriented businesses are not expected to make special provisions for one’s religious beliefs. The article’s title is “Amazon’s Somalian Employees Planning ‘Massive’ Protest at Minnesota Facility Before Christmas”. As if Muslims care about the Christian significance of Christmas. The Amazon owner – Jeff Bezos – is quite Left-leaning (some describe as a social Liberal/pro-Capitalist Libertarian). I suspect and thus probable bend to the counter-culture demands of the Muslim Somalis.

Here are Justin’s thoughts on upset Muslim Somalis and Amazon:

This is just one more of the Muslims’ ploys to undermine society. They typically attempt to force host nations, the regions and localities they inhabit, to acquiesce to special treatment of Muslims, especially where Ramadan is concerned.

In America, we have equality under the law and the U.S. Constitution, not privilege. But Muslims want validation as Muslims first and privilege above all others, due to the supremacy doctrines within the Koran.

Make Muslims assimilate fully or leave the country. If they are not here to be Americans first, or at least to truly live here peacefully and in accordance with the Constitution and laws as applied to everybody, they should be made to leave … exile and deport them all. ~ Justin O Smith (Social Media Jail Conversations for Conservatives & Counterjihadists; 12/9/18 8:42 PM)

Yup, Justin and I concur.

Consider this relatively recent development in European rule of law:

The European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) passed a verdict last Thursday that insulting Islam’s Prophet Mohammed would be a punishable offense and will not be protected as ‘free speech’.

VIDEO: Glazov Moment: Europe Criminalizes Criticism of Mohammed.

Court Case

A panel of seven-judges decided that defaming or demeaning the Prophet Mohammed goes ‘beyond permissible limits of an objective debate.  And it could cause prejudice in the society and will risk religious peace’.

The court case was about a lecturer who would talk about Mohammed being a pedophile. The court said READ ENTIRETY (European Court Makes it Illegal to Criticize Mohammed. Free Speech Does NOT Apply; By Avi Abelow; Israel Unwired; 11/14/18)

I’ve always been flabbergasted by Leftist Multiculturalist support for adherents of Islam to practice their Anti-West, Anti-Christian, Jew-Hating faith unrestrained by Western principles and the Western rule of law.

My astonishment is based on the fact evidenced by Islam in history, that whenever Islam attains political supremacy either by conquest (via Jihad) or by gradual conversion; Islamic Supremacism ALWAYS takes over forcing non-Muslims into a discriminated (often abused) second class citizen whereby acts of humiliation are exacted further securing a socio-politico stranglehold on ALL THINGS cultural.

That would include the Multicultural Left whose political hubris of expecting gratefulness from such a counter-culture as Islam would ever coexist peacefully amidst non-Islamic cultures or lifestyles. That hubris if perpetuated will lead to the complete destruction of all things Western that has evolved from Graeco-Roman-Judeo-Christian thought.

This Multiculturalist support to ensure Muslims practice their faith according to the tenets of their theo-political religion enforced by Islamic Sharia Law makes Western tenets of Liberty subservient to the dictates of Islam. MEANING telling historical truths about Islam and its founder is considered insulting under Sharia. In Sharia shining the light on Muslim practices in history – including the nefarious acts of Muhammad – can be penalized up to and including death.

An EU Court ergo, has criminalized anything that Sharia would list as insulting.

THE HYPOCRISY: Yet Muslims in adherence to their revered writings (Quran, Hadith and Sunna [Sira]) can insult the Godhood and Sonship of Jesus as well as call for the death of Jews (Quran, Hadith & Sira [PDF pg. 37 document pg. 29]) without ANY legal penalty whatsoever in European Courts.

AND NOW, even after ECHR says criticizing a religion – Islam – is now a criminal offense in Europe (Thank God the USA still stands with the Bill of Rights). It appears the ECHR ruling is only a one-way street. BECAUSE  Muslim Imams all over Europe are calling for the death Jews. The implication is Islam can criticize ANY religion, even call for the murder of the members of any non-Islamic religion and there is European Judicial outrage.

Dear God in Heaven! Islam is not even the majority religion in Europe yet the religion’s adherents can execute Islamic Supremacy!

AMERICANS CANNOT ALLOW THIS TO HAPPEN HERE!

I first became aware of this tolerance of Islamic Jew-Hatred via a Facebook Group post at New English Review by Jerry Gordon. Gordon pointed out an Israel National News (Arutz Sheva) post by Dr. Manfred Gerstenfeld.

I’m going to begin with Gordon’s Facebook post which is a cross post of the Gerstenfeld About Page, followed by Gerstenfeld’s post.

Read chaver [For those pro-Israel Christians as myself – chaver defined] Dr. Manfred Gerstenfeld’s chilling Arutz Sheva – Israel National News report on European Imam’s calling for the murder of Jews. Dr. Gerstenfeld is a noted Israeli expert on European and Global Antisemitism and Emeritus Chairman of the Jewish Center for Public Affairs.

Outright calls to murder Jews have become a pattern among European Muslim clergy, but western politicians are bent on hiding it. They know why.

Arutz Sheva – Israel National News

The massive immigration of Muslims into Western European countries has also brought with it major whitewashing efforts to keep resulting problems hidden. The main whitewashers are western politicians as well as media and Muslim leaders. There are also many others. A central reason for the strong whitewashing efforts is that publishing the details of the criminality, incitement and other serious problems that segments of the Muslim immigrants and their descendants have brought with them would be a huge accusation against European governments. They have let millions of people in without adequate screening.

Other issues are distorted as well. Many pseudo-progressives falsely assert that all cultures are equal, a claim simple to deconstruct. Furthermore, mainly as a result of the evils of colonialism, the misbelief that only white people can be racists has been promoted.

This collection of fallacies is particularly problematic for Jews. There is a disproportionately large number of antisemites among Muslim immigrants and their descendants. Jews have therefore become a preferred target of several of them. Some Muslims commit violence, and a few more extreme ones are even murderers. All Jews who have been murdered for ideological reasons in the new century in Western Europe have been killed by Muslims.

Due to the physical aggressions, violent attacks and even murder, verbal violence against Jews is studied with much less attention. Yet, many of the most extreme expressions of antisemitic hate mongering come from Muslims, including religious leaders. Explicit calls for the murder of Jews have been made by imams in several countries.

In July 2018, a Danish prosecutor charged Imam Mundhir Abdallah with calling for killing of Jews. This religious figure preaches at the Masjid Al Faruq mosque in Copenhagen. In Facebook and YouTube video posts in March 2018 Abdallah quoted a hadith, a classic religious narrative saying; “Judgment Day will not come until the Muslims fight the Jews and kill them,” In May 2017 Denmark published a list of six foreigners accused of preaching hatred. Five of them were Muslims and one was an evangelical preacher. They were banned for at least two years.

In December 2017, Mohamed Tatai, the imam of the Grand Mosque in Toulouse, France, quoted the full hadith which is attributed to the prophet Mohammed about the final and decisive battle: ‘Judgement Day will not come until the Muslims fight the Jews. The Jews will hide behind the stones and the trees, and the stones and the trees will say: Oh Muslim, oh servant of Allah, there is a Jew hiding behind me, come and kill him – except for the Gharqad tree, which is one of the trees of the Jews.’” This extreme antisemitic inciter was a member of an interfaith dialogue group with Jews.

In August 2014, Italy expelled Raoudi Albdelbar, a Moroccan imam who preached against Jews in a mosque near Venice: “Oh Allah, count them one by one and kill them to the very last one.” This came to public knowledge in a video released by the Washington based media monitoring group, MEMRI.

In 2001, the El Tawheed mosque in Amsterdam was forced by the authorities to remove several statements from its website, including the following: “The Jews possess the weapons industry and, on the other hand, they are the ones who make the wars.” In 2018, it became known that the Amsterdam El Tawheed mosque was frequently visited by people who joined armed Jihad and terrorists.

Jews are not the only target of Muslim hate preachers. In December 2016, in the Dittsbury mosque in Manchester, imam Mustafa Graf, called for armed jihad. One of the regular attendees there was Salman Abedi. Six months later he would detonate a suicide bomb that killed 22 people at a concert given by singer Arianne Grande in that town.

In 2016, Belgium expelled the Dutch Moroccan imam El-Alami Amaouch. Since then he preaches in the Netherlands. Yet another hate preacher in the Netherlands is Imam Fawas Jneid. Once, in Arabic he verbally attacked Rotterdam mayor, Ahmed Aboutaleb, an orthodox Muslim, calling him an apostate Muslim and an enemy of real Islam. Dutch Minister of Justice, Fred Grapperhaus, informed parliamentarians that this preaching was within the borders of the law. The Dutch imams’ association told a newspaper that it would not publish an official statement on Jneid’s comments. ‘There are so many people saying crazy things,’ a spokesman observed.

Muslim hate preachers can also be found in Canada and the United States. In the latter country the problematic First Amendment of the Constitution is a severe handicap in acting against extreme inciters. In the Arab world and in some Muslim countries religious and other leaders calling for the murder of Jews are common. For many years the “murder hadith” was part of the Hamas charter.

All the above is only the tip of the iceberg. Muslim organizations in Europe frequently claim that mosques have nothing to do with antisemitism. If the European Union was serious in its fight against anti-Jewish hate mongering it would see to it that in all member countries, police services investigate the preaching of hate in mosques and by Muslim religious leaders wherever they may be. Then the information obtained should be made public.

Can’t Use Commerce Laws to Illegalize FGM Child Abuse

John R. Houk

© November 23, 2018

Nothing to be thankful for from Multiculturalist Leftist Federal Judges that ignore the law to rule in favor of Islamic traditions over the rule of law!

U.S. District Judge Bernard Friedman (residing in Detroit) ruled that a Federal Law made 22 years ago was unconstitutional allowing Muslims to proceed in the child abuse of Female Genital Mutilation (FGM).

FGM is overwhelmingly practiced among Muslims as a matter of tradition. Multiculturalist Left Wing organizations (National & Global) go out of the way to point out that Islam theologically does not mandate FGM. The same organizations will point out that a minority of Christian and Jewish based people also practice FGM.

The only thing accurate in downplaying the Muslim practice of FGM is the abusive practice is more cultural than religious but fail to be informative of the huge number of Muslims that have a tradition of FGM and indeed associate it with their religious faith. Also the Christians and Jews known to abuse their children with FGM are culturally influenced by the Muslims in close proximity (primarily Copts of Egypt and Black-Africans who identify themselves as Jewish in Ethiopia).

So YES this is primarily an Islamic issue especially as it is Muslim refugees or Muslim immigrants from whence FGM is practiced are now flouting Western Laws in Europe and the U.S. to perpetuate FGM in the West in the name of their Muslim traditions.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), female genital mutilation (FGM), also referred to as “female circumcision” or “female cutting”, “comprises all procedures that involve partial or total removal of the external female genitalia, or other injury to the female genital organs for non-medical reasons” [1]. The WHO estimates that about 140 million girls and women worldwide are living with the consequences of FGM and that every year in Africa alone, about 3 million girls are at risk for genital mutilation [1]. FGM has been documented in 28 African countries and in some countries in Asia and the Middle East [2]. However, it has also become a human rights and health issue in western countries where the practice is continued by immigrants from countries where FGM is commonly performed [3]. For instance, the German organization “Terre des Femmes” estimates that about 30.000 girls and women living in Germany have undergone or are at risk of being subjected to FGM [4].

Given the fact that some Sunni Muslims legitimate FGM by quoting a controversial hadith (a saying attributed to the Prophet Mohammed) in which the Prophet allegedly did not object to FGM provided cutting was not too severe 56 and that the least invasive type of FGM (partial or total removal of the clitoris and/or the prepuce) is also called “Sunna Circumcision” [7], FGM is widely considered to be associated with Islam. However, during a conference held in Cairo/Egypt in 2006, Muslim scholars from various nations declared FGM to be un-islamic 89 and, in fact, the traditional cultural practice of FGM predates both Islam and Christianity. …  According to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, FGM is actually practiced by Muslim, Christian and Jewish groups. There are countries, such as Nigeria, Tanzania and Niger, where the prevalence of FGM is even greater among Christian groups [11]. In Egypt, FGM is also practiced on Coptic girls [12], while in Ethiopia, the Beta Israel or Falashas, a Jewish minority, subject their girls to genital mutilation [5].

… Yet, a Jewish minority group living in Ethiopia, the so-called Falashas or Beta Israel, practice ritual female genital surgery [15]. Buff believes that “as a persecuted and isolated Jewish enclave for thousands of years, the Falashas did not have access to either definitive Jewish texts or informed rabbinical sources” [14]. In fact, the Falashas practice an archaic form of Judaism, strictly adhering to the Pentateuch, the five books of Moses. They do not speak or read Hebrew. Their bible is written in Ge’ez, which is the clerical language of the Ethiopian and Eritrean orthodox church, and they do not know the other important religious scriptures of Judaism, the Talmud and the Mishnah 1617. The Falashas consider themselves descendants of the tribe of “Dan”, one of the 10 “lost tribes of Israel”, and were acknowledged as such, and therefore as being officially Jewish, by the Israeli government in 1975 [17]. … After their immigration to Israel, the Ethiopian Jews were converted to orthodox rabbinic Judaism. Nowadays, only a minority is still living in Ethiopia [17].

… The authors also found that the customs of FGM is readily given up by Ethiopian Jews right after their immigration to Israel, as “they see themselves a part of a Jewish society without FGM” [15].

Christian view on FGM

Literature dealing with the Christian view on FGM is very scarce, however, Christian authorities unanimously agree that FGM has no foundation in the religious texts of Christianity 1819202122. During the 2006 conference of The East Africa Program, the attending Christian (Coptic) leaders emphasized that “Christian doctrine is clear on the sanctity of the human body” [22]. Yet, as has already been mentioned before, FGM is practiced among Christian groups, e.g. in Egypt, Nigeria, Tanzania and Kenya. Although FGM is not prescribed by religious law, many of those practicing it may consider it a religious obligation, as female sexual purity plays an important role, not only in Christianity, but in all monotheistic religions. (The Jewish and Christian view on female genital mutilation; [Ingrid] El-Damanhoury, Ed.; ScienceDirectAfrican Journal of Urology: Volume 19, Issue 3, September 2013, Pages 127-129)

Trying to protect Islam’s reputation by claiming Christians and Jews practice FGM abuse is a bit disingenuous when undoubtedly the largest numbers clearly lay with Islam.

AND it is obvious to me that Federal Judge Bernard Friedman ruled laws outlawing FGM unconstitutional was an act of dhimmitude homage to one of the largest Islamic population centers in the USA namely the Detroit metropolitan area – MY FIRST REACTION.

AFTER READING MORE INFO – If I was to give Judge Friedman any benefit of the doubt, it might seem the Judge is saying legislate a better law that specifically addresses Female Genital Mutilation as child abuse rather than manipulate statutes to use Commerce Laws to illegalize FGM.

Federal judge strikes down U.S. ban on female genital mutilation

By Leo Hohmann

November 21, 2018

LeoHohmann.com

Dr. Jumana Nagarwala was charged in Detroit in April 2017 with mutilating the genitalia of young girls.

It is now OK in America for parents to deliver their daughters up to hack “doctors” and nurses who will mutilate their genitals and call it a religious ritual, thanks to a federal judge in Detroit.

U.S. District Judge Bernard Friedman on Tuesday dismissed female genital mutilation charges against several doctors in the first criminal case of its kind nationwide, ruling the law is unconstitutional, the Detroit News reported.

Friedman’s insane opinion comes two weeks after defense lawyers mounted the first challenge to an FGM law passed by Congress in 1996. The law sat there for 19 years without a single prosecution until April 2017. That’s when former Attorney General Jeff Sessions decided to prosecute two Muslim doctors, a wife of one of the doctors and the parents of nine girls who were transported to a clinic in Michigan, several of them across state lines, to have their genitals cut.

Co-defendant Dr. Fakhruddin Attar

Prosecutors said at the time that upwards of 100 girls ranging in age from 7 to 12 had been sent to the clinic, which sounds more like a Third World torture chamber.

The U.S. already allows up to 1 million babies to be aborted every year. Now our judges say it’s acceptable to mutilate young girls. What is the future for a society unable or unwilling to protect its most vulnerable?

Until Sessions’ brought this case, no one had ever been prosecuted under the 22-year-old federal law, not under presidents Clinton, Bush or Obama.

Prosecutors told the Detroit News that the girls — four from Michigan, two from Minnesota and three from Illinois — underwent the brutal FBM procedure of having their clitorises fully or partially removed. But defense lawyer Shannon Smith argued that the procedure performed on the girls was “benign” and not a mutilation. It was part of their religion and their culture and therefore should not be prevented by law.

Attorney Shannon Smith specializes in defending people against sexual crimes.

She found a sympathetic ear in the liberal Judge Friedman, who apparently found a loophole in the 1996 law in which he was able to deny that the FGM doctors and parents were engaged in interstate commerce and therefore committed no federal crime.

The doctors involved still face charges of conspiracy and obstruction and could face up to 30 years or more in prison if convicted on those counts.

Hopefully the U.S. Department of Justice will appeal this ghastly ruling by Judge Friedman. In the meantime, this should prompt Congress to go back and tweak the 1996 law to make sure it is strictly enforceable.

Dr. Jumana Nagarwala of Northville, Michigan, was arrested in April 2017 and accused of heading a conspiracy that lasted 12 years, involved seven other people and led to mutilating the genitalia of nine girls as part of a religious procedure practiced by some members of the Dawoodi Bohra, a Muslim sect from India that has a small community in Metro Detroit.

Most local members of the sect involved belong to the Anjuman-e-Najmi mosque in Farmington Hills.

The judge’s opinion drops charges against three mothers. They are:

  • Farida Arif of Oakland County, who was charged with participating in the conspiracy and having her daughter undergo female genital mutilation.

  • Two mothers from Minnesota, Haseena Halfal and Zainab Hariyanawala, who were charged last year with female genital mutilation and conspiracy to commit female genital mutilation. The allegations involve their daughters, who were 7 at the time of the procedure.

The order Tuesday also dismissed charges against Tahera Shafiq, 49, of Farmington Hills. She was accused of participating in the procedure involving the Minnesota girls.

“She’s done, for the time being,” Shafiq’s lawyer, Jerome Sabbota, said. “It’s wonderful. She can go about her life. These are deeply religious people, and a lot of people don’t understand that.”

Worldwide, an estimated 140 million women and girls have undergone the procedure, according to the World Health Organization. More than 3 million girls in Africa undergo the procedure each year.

The procedure has been illegal in the U.S. since 1996, and there are no medical benefits for girls and women, according to the World Health Organization.

Female genital mutilation is an internationally recognized violation of human rights.

Some members of the Dawoodi Bohra community who have spoken against the procedure say the surgery is performed to suppress female sexuality, reduce sexual pleasure and curb promiscuity, according to court records.

The procedure is most common in parts of Africa, the Middle East and Asia, along with migrants from those regions, according to the World Health Organization. For example, 99 percent of girls in Somali have their genitals mutilated while more than 85 percent of girls in Egypt are mutilated.

In the U.S., the Centers for Disease Control estimate that up to 500,000 women and girls are at risk of having the barbaric procedure performed on them. This high number is largely due to the increasing number of refugees, asylees and migrants imported to the U.S. from the Third World over the last 35 years. The vast majority of the refugees entering the U.S. every year, about 95 percent, are hand-selected by the United Nations.

There are four major types of female genital mutilation, including a partial or total removal of the clitoris.

Prosecutors in Michigan alleged that two girls’ clitorises were completely removed, but the evidence is lacking for at least one girl, Smith said.

Persecuted Asia Bibi NEEDS ASYLUM after Release from Pakistan Prison

John R. Houk

Asia Bibi & Pakistani Muslim Protestors

I have followed the plight of persecuted Pakistani Christian Asia Bibi for many years now. In case you haven’t heard of her, here is the simple outrageous circumstances Asia has faced for nearly a decade.

Asia Bibi (aka Aasiya Noreen) was sentenced to death because she defended Jesus to fellow Muslim laboring women angry Asia was drinking from a Muslim designated well (a description from a 2016 post):

Asia was raised in Ittan Wali, a small, rural village in the Sheikhupura District of Punjab, thirty miles outside of Lahore, and one day in 2009, she was picking berries in the sweltering heat, in a field with a group of Muslim women, who worked on the farm of Muslim landowner, Muhammad Idrees. Her family was one of only three Christian families in the village of more than 1,500 families

During this time, she was asked by some of the other women, to get some water for them from a well. On the long and dusty walk back, she took a sip of water from the vessel, and when the Muslim women discovered this they became extremely angry, and in an exchange, she told them: “Our Christ sacrificed His life on the cross for our sins…. Our Christ is alive.”

After uttering these words that she used to defend her faith against the mocking co-workers who tried to make her convert to Islam, she could never have dreamed the shocking consequences that would follow.

The Muslim women began to beat Asia. Then some men took her and locked her in a room. They announced from mosque loudspeakers that she would be punished by having her face blackened and being paraded through the village on a donkey.

“Local Christians informed the police, who took Asia into protective custody before the Muslims could carry out their plan. Christians urged the police not to file blasphemy charges, but the police claimed they had to go forward because of pressure from local Muslim leaders.”

After a lengthy trial, on Nov. 8, 2010, Asia Bibi was sentenced to death by a judge. The judge also fined Asia $1,190 (U.S.) and told her she had seven days to appeal the decision. …. (FRESH CALL FOR RELEASE OF ASIA BIBI; By Dan Wooding [Intro by John R. Houk]; SlantRight 2.0; 5/17/16)

She language in prison for eight years not knowing if the death sentenced would be carried out, fearing for her life from prison guards & prison inmates as well as existing in squalid conditions that threatened her life. On October 31, 2018 Pakistan’s highest court finally resisted Muslim death threats and overturned her death sentence due to inconsistent evidence. BUT the Pakistan government kept Asia languishing in prison fearing Muslim bloodthirsty Muslim rioting.

Protests among bigoted Muslims wanting to hang Asia Bibi for blaspheming their false prophet became rampant anyway. Indeed, the so-called religion of peace Muslims began attacking Pakistani Christians because the government was hiding Asia Bibi from Islamic Supremacist Muslim mobs:

Muslim Mob Burning Asia-Bibi likeness

These Muslims are so mad for the blood of one poor Christian woman, who has already suffered on death row for eight years, that they are taking out their bloodlust on random Christians within the country. This is a human rights abuse of monumental proportions, but you won’t hear a word about it from the United Nations or the world “human rights” organizations. They’re too busy looking for new ways to condemn Israel.

I am finding out from the National Review that the Pakistan government has finally released Asia Bibi from prison but – so far – has kept her and her family’s location secret from the Pakistani public.

Asia Bibi and family need asylum outside of Pakistan if their survival is to prevail. The so-called tolerant Brits and EU Multiculturalist governments have refused asylum because they all have admitted so many Islamic Supremacists into their nations, THEY ALL FEAR bloody Muslim rioting!

I have discovered that Senator Rand Paul has taken up Asia Bibi and Family’s asylum cause calling on President Trump to grant asylum:

A top Republican Senator has urged US President Donald Trump to grant asylum and refugee status to Pakistani national Asia Bibi, a Christian woman recently freed from prison after her blasphemy conviction was overturned.

Bibi, a 47-year-old mother of four, was released from Multan jail earlier this month after the Supreme Court in its landmark decision acquitted her of blasphemy charges.

Senator Rand Paul said that he was worried that Bibi won’t survive and he personally took up the matter with President Trump last week.

“I’ve been fighting for them to free Asia Bibi. I’ve talked to the President about granting her asylum and refugee status here,” Paul told CNN in an interview.

A senior member from an American think-tank has also suggested that Bibi should request asylum.

“President Trump should invite Ms Bibi to come to America and request asylum. To do so would be just, moral and wise,” Clifford D May, president of the Foundation for Defence of Democracies, said in an op-ed in The Washington Times this week. The Lessons of the Asia Bibi Case

Pakistan has released the purported blasphemer against Islam. Now what nation will have the courage to grant her asylum?

Asia Bibi, the Catholic mother imprisoned in Pakistan for nine years and condemned to hang for violating that country’s strict blasphemy law, has drawn broad sympathy throughout the West. Lacking credible evidence, and despite her denials, lower courts plainly yielded to Islamist pressure in making the illiterate field hand the first Pakistani woman to be given a death sentence for insulting Islam’s prophet, Mohammed. Then on October 31, Bibi finally received justice in an acquittal by Pakistan’s supreme court. But when she was released a week later, she found that mobs were baying for her blood throughout Pakistan — and, most surprisingly, that the West held out no firm offer of a safe haven.

Islamabad has given assurances that Bibi has been taken to a secret, secure location inside Pakistan, pending a permanent place of refuge. But her escape seems stalled. The West’s response so far of passive hand-wringing while Bibi faces mortal danger indicates more than poor planning; it shows a failure to fully comprehend the deeply radicalizing effects of the blasphemy taboo within the world’s second-largest Muslim nation — and the inroads it has made in the West.

Western leaders have consistently expressed concern for Bibi during her nearly decade-long ordeal. Human-rights advocates, such as the indefatigable Lord David Alton, who just last month met personally in Pakistan with the chief justice, have vigorously championed Bibi in the British parliament. Yet when the moment of truth arrived, London quickly decided it would not give her asylum owing to security concerns. The U.K. has its own radical Islamist leaders within its million-strong Pakistani community to worry about, including Anjem Choudary, paroled last month following a terror-law conviction. Lord Alton called the British decision “craven.”

In Paris, the city hall had an enlarged photo of Bibi by its front entrance when I last visited several years ago, and France has long been discussed as a place of asylum for her. But deadly Islamist attacks against Charlie Hebdo’s editors for blasphemy, and most recently against French Jews, make asylum there unthinkable. Last week Italy and Canada revealed their engagement in “sensitive” multilateral talks on Bibi’s case, but so far neither has offered an actual legal grant of asylum. Also last week, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau apologized for Canada’s turning away the MS St. Louis and its 907 desperate Jewish passengers seeking refuge from German Nazis 79 years ago. Hopefully, he will apply the St. Louis lesson to throw a lifeline to Bibi.

recent appeal on Bibi’s behalf by 190 European parliamentarians demands her safe passage from Pakistan but says nothing specific about where she can go next. The European countries most welcoming to refugees — the Scandinavian states, Germany, the Netherlands — all have a recent history of Islamist rioting and murder over perceived blasphemy against Islam: by irreverent cartoons, Theo van Gogh and Ayaan Hirsi Ali’s film on the treatment of women, a papal speech at Regensburg University, etc. Providing indefinite, round-the-clock security to a marked person such as Bibi would be costly, as the U.K. learned with Salman Rushdie. And Amsterdam has already had to withdraw much of its embassy staff from Pakistan this week following threats received after the nation granted asylum to Bibi’s lawyer and the Dutch politician Geert Wilders mocked the Muslim prophet on Twitter.

In a landmark blasphemy case in October, the European Court for Human Rights upheld an Austrian court’s conviction of a political activist on charges similar to Bibi’s, albeit they don’t carry the death penalty. For the sake of keeping social peace, Europe’s highest civil-rights court validated that country’s interest in criminalizing speech that “defames” the prophet Mohammed and in establishing a right to have “religious feelings protected.” The Austrian defendant had criticized the prophet as a “pedophile” for marrying a six-year-old; Bibi’s alleged insult is not disclosed, since repeating it would be deemed another act of blasphemy in Pakistan.

In truth, the anti-blasphemy movement went international several decades ago. After Iran’s Ayatollah Khomeini issued a fatwa in 1989 against anyone connected with Rushdie’s novel The Satanic Verses, several of its editors, translators, and sellers were either attacked or murdered in Japan, the United States, Norway, and Turkey. The Saudi-based Organization of Islamic Cooperation leveraged the 2005 Danish cartoon crisis to get Europe to police speech to protect Islam. Since then, the EU has adopted hate-speech bans on anything deemed Islamophobic by anyone. (Charges in the Austria case were brought by a secular magazine, not Muslims.)

Europe is trying to placate the Islamists by giving in on the blasphemy issue, but Bibi’s experience is a case study on how legitimizing religious speech taboos only fans the flames.

Bibi was arrested in 2009 after she triggered a dispute with Muslim women when she, an “infidel,” took a sip of water from a communal cup while harvesting a hot field. The Muslim women accused Bibi of blaspheming their prophet during the course of this heated exchange. At trial, the Muslim berry pickers gave conflicting testimony and were manipulated by a local imam — facts that were overlooked by the trial court and Bibi’s devastatingly inexperienced trial attorney but would be determinative for the supreme court. In 2010, Bibi was convicted and sentenced under section 295-C of the 1986 blasphemy law. For her own protection, she was confined in an isolation cell, where she cooked her own food to avoid poisoning.

With the blasphemy law already infamous as an oppressive tool for settling personal scores against Christians and other minorities, Asia Bibi attracted the sympathy of Punjab’s governor, Salman Taseer, and Pakistan’s minorities minister, Shahbaz Bhatti. Both were assassinated in 2011. The murder of Bhatti, a Christian, occurred with impunity, while Mumtaz Qadri, the killer of the Muslim governor, was arrested, tried, and sentenced to death, whereupon he became lionized as a martyr for the faith.

Qadri’s fans include a large part of the Pakistani lawyers’ association, whose members, in their trademark black suits, showered rose petals on him as he entered the courthouse. They volunteered by the hundred to defend him pro bono. In 2008, this same lawyers’ association was enthusiastically cited by the New York Times as a hopeful sign for upholding Pakistan’s “liberal tradition,” and as “perhaps the most consequential outpouring of liberal, democratic energy in the Islamic world in recent years.” But as lawyers rallied around the blasphemy issue, it became deeply illiberal. Saiful Mulook, one of the last of the true liberals, who represented Bibi in her appeal, had to flee for his life last week and go to the Netherlands.

Another figure inspired by Qadri is hardline cleric Khadim Rizvi, who organized Tehreek-e-Labbaik (TLP), a burgeoning political party centered on fighting blasphemy against Islam. Last week TLP incited massive protests against Bibi in Islamabad, Lahore, and Karachi, paralyzing key transportation routes. To restore order, the government blocked cellphone service and social media throughout the country for three days. Prime Minister Imran Khan also reportedly gave Rizvi a chance to appeal the supreme court’s decision to release Bibi and promised to block her from leaving the country. Meanwhile, Rizvi has been calling for the murder of the judges, It’s not clear what the prime minister will do if Bibi gets an actual visa and promise of asylum from the United States, for example. So far he hasn’t had to cross that bridge.

Bibi’s husband, Ashiq Massih, told me two and a half years ago, after a conference — held in New York and sponsored by the Holy See — on persecution that Pakistan’s supreme court wanted to release his wife but, concerned about anti-blasphemy rioting, was waiting “until things cooled down.” The court, tired of waiting, finally released Bibi last week, and Pakistan’s ensuing descent into radicalism, wholly separate from the Taliban, has been on full display. Asia Bibi is the litmus test of whether the United States and the rest of the West are really willing to defend persecuted religious minorities around the world.

Fr. James V. Schall: Sword and Scimitar Is “a Detailed, Well-Researched” and “Most Welcome” Book

I am gratified the GOP still controls the Senate and displeased the Marxist oriented Dems is the majority political party in the House – all be it slim majority. The jury is out on how a divided Congress manages the rule of law in this nation, but if the proven Dem/media lies against President Trump the emerging proof of a lying smear campaign (HERE, HERE, HERE & HERE) against Justice Brett Kavanaugh is any indication – government gridlock is in the future for at least two-years.

But moving on … It is time to refresh our memory on just how dangerous Islam is to Western Culture. I’ve been reading Robert Spencer’s new book “The History of Jihad: From Muhammad to ISIS” – Book Review HERE.

And now another book exposing Islam’s history and true nature is out by Raymond Ibrahim: “Sword and Scimitar: Fourteen Centuries of War between Islam and the West”. After reading the book review on Ibrahim’s blog, I’ll picking that book up as well.

Fr. James V. Schall: Sword and Scimitar Is “a Detailed, Well-Researched” and “Most Welcome” Book

By Raymond Ibrahim

Fr. James V. Schall during his final lecture at Georgetown University in 2012

James V. Schall, S.J. — a longtime professor of political philosophy at Georgetown University and author of On Islam — recently reviewed my book, Sword and Scimitar.  First published in the Catholic World Report, and titled, “On the Purpose of Islam: A Review of Raymond Ibrahim’s Sword and Scimitar,” it follows:

“Unlike most military histories—which no matter how fascinating are ultimately academic—this [book] offers correctives; it sets the much discussed historical record between these two civilizations straight and, in so doing, demonstrates once and for all that a Muslim hostility for the West is not an aberration but a continuation of Islamic history.” — Raymond Ibrahim, Sword and Scimitar: Fourteen Centuries of War between Islam and the West (New York: De Capo Press, 2018), xvi

“For unlike Manzikert (1071), which was more a Turkic victory, the conquest of Constantinople (1453) had greater significance for all Muslims. Even in Egypt, where the Ottoman’s chief rivals the Mamluks reigned, the ‘good tidings were proclaimed and Cairo decorated’ to celebrate ‘this greatest of conquests.’ The Sharif of Mecca wrote to Muhammed (II), calling him ‘the one who has aided Islam and the Muslims, the Sultan of all kings and sultans,’ and—further underscoring the idea that conquest over infidels is the epitome of Islamic piety—‘the resuscitator of the Prophet’s sharia.’” — Raymond Ibrahim, Sword and Scimitar, 247.

I.

Some things we prefer not to know. Among these, it often seems, is an accurate account of the origins, extent, and the means of expansion of Islam over its now 1200 year history. During this time period, the armies of Islam managed to conquer a good fifth of the world’s geography and population. This growth and expansion show few signs of abating, in spite of Islam’s expulsion from Spain in the fifteenth century and from the Balkans in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. The main reason that Islam is not larger is because—and only because—it was defeated in some major historic battles. In recent years, with its high birth-rate and its immigration, Islam has a new lease on life in the West, particularly in Europe, from which it had been turned back in the eighth century at the battle of Tours and in the fifteenth at Vienna. Both Europe and America are now dotted with mosques in hundreds of places, the construction of which is usually financed by Saudi Arabia.

Sword & Scimitar bk jk

In this riveting account of the history of Islam’s military accomplishments, Raymond Ibrahim shows that Islam has followed a consistent policy that has combined politics, war, terror, and religion. Its purpose was, and remains, essentially religious, however unwilling we might be, because of our own presuppositions, to grant that fact. This purpose follows a reading of the Koran as Islam’s central guide and ultimate justification as the message of Allah to mankind. It also manifests the core reason why Islam, throughout its history, has sought to expand. Other motives—economic, ethnic, and political—were also present, but this religious motive was at its core. Until that core is rejected by enough individual Muslims, it will continue to inspire, , by ever varying means—sometimes peaceful, sometimes violent—this drive to conquer what is not yet under Islamic control.

What is difficult for many to understand is the persistence of a singular purpose, carried on century after century: the submission of the world to Allah. Both those who believe in nothing and those who believe in other gods are tempted to think such a concept to be preposterous or impossible. Yet this purpose is what motivated and inspired the Muslim caliphs, beys, emirs, sheiks, merchants, and peasants, whether Sunni or Shiite, to continue their mission no matter how hopeless it seemed at first.

This expansion involved massive genocides and slaughters in various parts of the world and in different eras, about which Ibrahim gives a detailed and often graphic account. But such shocking means, deliberately undertaken, do not obviate this prior religious purpose. Indeed, this religious purpose is part of the rationale of the expansion, which used whatever means that worked. The philosophical voluntarism that finally explained Muslim actions came into being to justify the use of violence in religion. As explained by al Ghazelli in the eleventh century, Allah could will the opposite of what he willed; everything depends on Allah’s will that is bound to no permanent truth.

II.

To understand Islam, it is necessary to follow its history, which is inspired by the Koran and its interpretations. Thus we have both what the Koran teaches and the historic record of what Islam did following upon those teachings. Noted historian Victor Davis Hanson, in the “Foreword” to Ibrahim’s book, gives a brief list of its major theses: 1) “Islamic armies saw themselves as expansionary and messianic, eager to engage the West and to annex its territory and convert its people”; 2) The wars against the West were not seen primarily as localized but “as religious rather than national or ethnic…their warring against the Westerners was so seen as mostly a monolithic struggle against Christendom rather than against particular European States”; 3) Islamic leaders have seen Christianity as inherently against Islam; 4) Muslims in Western states had much more freedom than Christians in Muslim states.

The book is a detailed, well-researched account of the major battles between Islam and the West. The same methods of warfare, conquest, and imposition of Muslim law occur again and again. The Crusades were not signs of Christian aggressiveness but of a final, usually desperate effort to protect themselves from Muslim incursions. Two things are striking in this presentation. The first is that the positive use of violence is considered a legitimate way to deal with those deemed as enemies of Islam. With almost monotonous regularity this factor is seen in every battle and its aftermath. It can be, from an Islamic perspective, justified from Koranic verses and from the historical record. The only time a Muslim doubts his faith is when he is soundly defeated in battle. But military defeat is only temporary. As long as the Koran is read, Islam will rise again. Islam, we see again and again, is both patient and unforgiving.

The second striking thing is the extent and prevalence of slavery, of slave markets, of the need of slaves to make possible the kind of life that Muslim leaders carved out for themselves. Most Americans are aware that slavery existed in their own country. What is not so widely known is the place of Arab middle men who were the slave brokers for both black and white slaves. Though slavery is found in many cultures throughout history, it was a constant element in Muslim life. And the slaves were not mostly black, but white; the choice slaves were acquired by raids along the European coasts or as the booty of conquest.

Near the end of the book, Ibrahim recounts the experience of the early American founders with Islam. The first American war, some might be surprised to learn, was with the Barbary Pirates in North Africa. The United States paid regular and enormous ransom fees to recover Americans held as hostages. Ibrahim cites the letter that John Adams and Thomas Jefferson wrote to Congress on March 28, 1786:

We took the liberty to make some inquiries concerning the grounds of their (Muslim) pretentions to make war against nations who had done them no injury, and observed that we considered all mankind as our friends who had done us no wrong, nor had given us any provocation. The (Muslim) ambassador answered us that it was founded on the laws of their Prophet, that was written in their Koran, that all nations who should not have acknowledged their authority were sinners, that it was their right and duty to make war on them wherever they could be found and to make slaves of all they could take as prisoners, and that every Musselman who should be slain in battle was sure to go to Paradise (284).

This analysis of Adams and Jefferson sketches and summarizes the essential theses of this book, which draws out in detail the record and working out of the Muslim practice of warfare and governance as seen embodied in its history.

III.

The book leaves us with several questions. Can one really be a faithful Muslim and not accept this history and its rationale? Can non-Muslims rest content that this religious warfare in various forms will not be unleashed on them whenever the opportunity arises? As Ibrahim points out, a Muslim is free to say in public that he will not practice violence provided that he secretly agrees in his heart that he will follow, when he can, the Koran and what it says about such violence.

A further issue is whether an accurate knowledge of Islamic warfare and history is not somehow illiberal, unfair, or, yes, provocative. Those who maintain, in spite of all evidence, that Islam is a religion of peace do neither Islam nor themselves any favor. We honor Islam best by judging it first by its own standards and purposes. In this sense, Ibrahim’s book is most welcome. It does not pretend that the record of what Islam does and says of itself is something else other than it is. And no one denies, of course, that Islam is composed of many internal struggles both of its theology and of its politics.

In many ways, Islam has been its own worst enemy. Efforts to democratize Islam have taught many Muslims how to use democratic processes for their long term goals. While Islam approves of conquest by arms, it does not disdain any other way to power if it can finally impose its law (Sharia). While there are no Muslim armies today capable of defeating any major power in the field, the use of terrorist tactics can, if unchecked, still effectively disrupt and even weaken any modern society.

IV.

In Belloc’s 1900 book Miniatures of French History we find a chapter entitled “The Breaking of Islam,” which is about the Battle at Poitiers and Tours in 732, a seminal battle that Ibrahim likewise covers. It was a battle that saved France and probably Europe. To explain why Islam was in France in the first place, Belloc wrote:

Mahomet, acquainted with the Faith, selected from manifold Christian truth what few points seemed good to him, and composed a new heresy alive with equality and the reduction of doctrine to the least compass. He denied the Incarnation and left the Eucharist aside. Mahomet had vision and heard divine commands. Stones spoke to him and he perceived the glories of heaven. But more than this…he was filled with a command to teach what he had seen and known. He must remake men. For this mighty task he found two mighty levers—brotherhood and simplicity—and to these he joined the delight of arms.

Belloc, as Ibrahim also notes, was far ahead of his time in seeing the meaning and scope of Islamic thought and history. Belloc paid the honor to Islam of taking its religious side, its history, and its messianic purposes seriously. He could do this because he could understand the call of its faith. This understanding of Islam’s faith is what is important in Sword and Scimitar. We cannot read Muslim history as if it is explained by the liberal mind that cannot (or will not) understand the call of such a faith over time. Christians have been mostly driven out of Muslim lands. They have suffered attacks and killings in our day, the same kind of atrocities that occurred again and again in the past. We pay little or no attention. Those most eager to dialogue with representatives of Islam usually do not know its history. They cannot understand why this dialogue results mostly in an effort to settle more and more of Mohammed’s followers in lands that Islam could not conquer before by arms.

Belloc, in his book The Crusades—in a section on the Battle at the Horns of Hattin (1187), after the crushing of the Crusaders’ last hold in the Holy places—said that if Islam ever gains the power again, it will do exactly as it did before. He wrote this in the 1930s; by the second decade of the 21st century, it is clear that he was right. Ibrahim’s book provides the background to verify this thesis.

Islam cannot reform itself by denying its own history and the methods to achieve its successes. And it cannot be Islam and deny what is in the Koran. Wherever the Koran is read carefully and seriously, the drive to world submission to Allah will reappear and continue. Sometimes it will be defeated; at other times it will succeed. Islam is content to wait, but it always is prodding. It understands that its immediate enemy is the West—not China or India or Russia. It has every reason to believe that it is gradually but definitely making inroads into Europe, often without the need of bloodshed. It has not repudiated terror, but it has realized the possibility of using Western political means to bring the Sharia into effect in any given city or country. If it can expand by democratic means as well as with terror and war, so much the better. The end remains the same–the conquest of the world for Allah, the mission assigned to it from the beginning.

Islam today is divided into various factions and dozens of states, some struggling against others. It has no final authority of interpretation of its texts; it has no unified army. The recent defeat of ISIS on the ground made clear that its expansion might now use other means. Historically, Christians and non-Christians falling under the control of Muslim majorities have been required to pay a fine and accept second class citizenship, convert, or die. Peace for Islam means the condition brought about when everyone is Muslim. Until then, a state of war with non-Muslims de facto exists. Again, the purpose of Islam is the subjection of all men and nations to Allah. Without this ultimate goal, Islam is not Islam. One cannot but admire this religious impetus, while, at the same time, doing one’s best to see that it never succeeds—both for the good of non-Muslims and Muslims alike. Sword and Scimitar offers a challenging and direct explanation why these things make sense.

Ibrahim guest lectures at universities, including the National Defense Intelligence College, has briefed governmental agencies, such as U.S. Strategic Command and the Defense Intelligence Agency, provides expert testimony for Islam-related lawsuits, and has testified before Congress regarding the conceptual failures that dominate American discourse concerning Islam and the worsening plight of Egypt’s Christian Copts.

Among other media, he has appeared on MSNBC, Fox News, C-SPAN, PBS, Reuters, Al-Jazeera, and NPR; he has done hundreds of radio interviews and two courses for Prager University, each of which has been viewed over a million times on YouTube.

Ibrahim’s dual-background—born and raised in the U.S. by Egyptian parents born and raised in the Middle East—has provided him with unique advantages, from equal fluency in English and Arabic, to an equal understanding of the Western and Middle Eastern mindsets, positioning him to explain the latter to the former. His interest in Islamic civilization was first piqued when he began visiting the Middle East as a child in the 1970s. Interacting and conversing with the locals throughout the decades has provided him with an intimate appreciation for that part of the world, complementing his academic training.

After a brief athletic career—including winning the 1993 NPC Los Angeles Bodybuilding Championship as a teenager—Raymond went on to receive his B.A. and M.A. (both in History, focusing on the ancient and medieval Near East, with dual-minors in Philosophy and Literature) from California State University, Fresno. There he studied closely with noted military-historian Victor Davis Hanson. He also took graduate courses at Georgetown University’s Center for Contemporary Arab Studies—including classes on the history, politics, and economics of the Arab world—and studied Medieval Islam and Semitic languages at Catholic University of America. His M.A. thesis examined an early military encounter between Islam and Byzantium based on arcane Arabic and Greek texts.

Ibrahim’s resume includes serving as an Arabic language and regional specialist at the Near East Section of the Library of Congress, where he was often contacted by and provided information to defense and intelligence personnel involved in the fields of counterterrorism and area studies, as well as the Congressional Research Service; and serving as associate director of the Middle East Forum, a Philadelphia think tank.

He also often functions as a journalist and has been a Media Fellow at the Hoover Institution and a CBN News analyst.  His knowledge of Arabic and familiarity with Middle Eastern sources have enabled him to offer breaking news.  Days before the Obama administration blamed an anti-Islamic movie for Muslim uprisings against a U.S. consul and an embassy in Libya and Egypt respectively, Ibrahim showed that the demonstrations were pre-planned and unrelated to the movie.  Similarly, he was first to expose an Arabic-language Saudi fatwa that called for the destruction of any Christian church found on the Arabian Peninsula.

Raymond Ibrahim is currently the Judith Friedman Rosen Writing Fellow at the Middle East Forum.

Violence Continues as Pakistani Islamists Protest Christian Woman’s “Blasphemy” Acquittal

I am not surprised that Pakistan Muslims are so supremacist that they have reacted with such viciousness toward Asia Bibi due to the Pakistan Court overturning her conviction and I also expect Mullah egged-on violence against Pakistani Christians to follow (if indeed it may have already occurred and not yet reported by Western media).

If anyone has an update on Asia Bibi, such as a prison release date, health report, asylum in a nation outside of Pakistan, etc.; please email me at john.houk@gmail.com or those of you who know my private email – you can data there.

Below is an IPT report I found on the Asia Bibi situation.

Violence Continues as Pakistani Islamists Protest Christian Woman’s “Blasphemy” Acquittal

By IPT News

Nov 2, 2018 at 9:15 am

Investigative Project on Terrorism

Thousands of Islamist demonstrators in Pakistan continue to violently protest the acquittal of Asia Bibi, a Christian woman who was falsely accused of blasphemy and spent the last eight years on death row.

Protesters clashed with police, burned cars and disrupted traffic, blocking ambulances. Schools across Pakistan have been closed and a major zone in Islamabad is sealed off.

Asia Bibi was charged in 2009 with insulting Islam’s prophet Muhammad after drinking from a cup of water before allowing fellow Muslim farm laborers drink first. After being beaten in her home, Bibi’s accusers say that she confessed to blasphemy. She was sentenced to death in 2010.

On Wednesday, Pakistan’s Supreme Court overturned her sentence. For that, the Supreme Court judges “deserve to be killed,” said Muhammad Afzal Qadri, leader of the extremist Islamist Tehreek-i-Labaik party. But Bibi has not been released from prison, as negotiations for her safety broke down between the government and Islamists.

“Which government can function like this, blackmailed by protests?” asked Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan, accusing the Islamists for “inciting [people] for their own political gain.”

Radical religious groups, including a charity founded by UN-designated terrorist Hafiz Saeed, vowed to join the protests today.

Public support for blasphemy laws in Pakistan remains high, driving a wedge between the ruling party and extreme Islamists stoking protests. And that sentiment is not limited to South Asia.

A Maryland mosque last year praised the terrorist who killed a former Pakistani governor critical of Pakistan’s blasphemy laws. Salman Taseer was targeted by radical Islamists after he defended Bibi. In 2011, his bodyguard Mumtaz Qadri shot and killed him.

American Islamist groups said nothing about Taseer’s killing.

After Qadri was executed for the killing in 2016, the Gulzar E Madina mosque hosted a celebration in his memory, “attended by dozens of people including young children and teenagers.”

Radical Islamists in Pakistan, whether organized terrorist groups or mobs of people, often take matters into their hands.

In April 2017, a violent mob beat to death a university student who faced a blasphemy accusation that investigators later deemed false.

Sunni terrorist groups connected to extremist Pakistani organizations last year targeted minorities in several deadly attacks including Ahmadi Muslims, the Shi’a Hazara community, and Christians.

In December, for example, Islamic State terrorists killed nine civilians in a targeted attack involving a suicide bomber against a Methodist church in Quetta.

Pakistan has charged about 1,000 people with blasphemy since 1987, and convictions can carry the death penalty. These laws especially target members of Pakistan’s minority communities. But the law can be also applied to anyone that is seen as a threat to the government.

According to the US State Department’s International Religious Freedom Report for 2017, civil society organizations “reported lower courts often failed to adhere to basic evidentiary standards in blasphemy cases.”

Asia Bibi’s acquittal highlights the plight of all religious minorities in Pakistan and the destructive power of radical Islamists across the country.

Pakistan Court Overturns Asia Bibi Death Sentence!

Now That’s Some All Saints Day News

For nearly a decade Pakistan Christian Asia Bibi has been on death row for drinking water from – get this – a Muslim-only well. But her death sentence was allegedly she denigrated Muhammad in favor of Jesus.

A Muslim-only well! Shades of egregious civil rights practices which have long been outlawed in the USA. As to whatever she may or may not have said about Mo, That dude was an evil ruffian-pirate-rapist-mass murderer-sex slaver and probably more than I can think of, in the name of a fabricated religion created to justify such godless evil actions.

YUP! In Pakistan I’d be on death row for writing the truth (according Muslim writings BY-THE-WAY).

But Asia Bibi has denied she has made any denigrating remarks about the Muslim Mo false prophet.

YESTERDAY I found out Asia Bibi was acquitted when Pakistan’s High Court overturned Asia near decade long death sentence. Here are the details according to the Gatestone Institute below.

Pakistan: Asia Bibi Acquitted After Years Awaiting Death for “Blasphemy”

  • Asia Bibi was sentenced to death in 2010 because she is a Christian and because she was thirsty. Today, justice was served when her conviction was overturned.

  • Now, Bibi may be targeted for assassination when she is released. Islamists have placed a bounty on her head of 50 million rupees ($375,000). Salman Taseer, a brave Muslim who was governor of Pakistan’s Punjab province, was murdered just for expressing support for her. Pakistan’s federal Minister for Minorities, Shahbaz Bhatti, was also murdered for defending Bibi.

  • Lawyers defending Christians and others accused of blasphemy are sometimes murdered as well.

  • In the ultimate irony, just a few days ago, the so-called European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) upheld this same blasphemy law. The ECHR ruling is unspeakable. It is time to remove the unelected judges of that unaccountable and unappealable court.

Asia Bibi and two of her five children, pictured prior to her imprisonment on death row in 2010 for “blasphemy.”

After 3,422 days of cruel and unjustified imprisonment as “the first woman to be sentenced to death for blasphemy,” the death penalty verdict against Asia Noreen Bibi has finally been overturned.

Pakistan’s Supreme today set aside the death sentence against Bibi, a Roman Catholic mother of five. After being convicted in a trial in 2010 for false accusations of “blasphemy”, now justice has actually prevailed. Killing Bibi because her Muslim co-workers were offended that she, an “unclean” Christian, drank water from a communal well, was too much even for Pakistan, where Christians are habitually persecuted.

Bibi is now being “held at an undisclosed location for security reasons.” Islamist hardliners have already threatened the judges that if she is freed, those responsible would meet a “horrible” end.

On June 14, 2009, Asia Bibi drank water from a communal well on a hot day, while working in a field. Two Muslim women alleged that because she, a Christian, had touched the water from the well, the entire well was now haram (forbidden by Islamic law). Asia responded by saying “I think Jesus would see if differently from Mohammed,” that Jesus had “died on the cross for the sins of mankind,” and asked, “What did your Prophet Muhammad ever do to save mankind?” This enraged the other women, who pushed and spit on her.

Five days later, as she worked in another field, a crowd of “dozens of men and women,” calling for Bibi’s death, beat her savagely and carried her to the village, where police arrested her. Qari Muhammad Sallam, the village imam (who had not been present at the water dispute), and the women who said Bibi had defiled the well-water, told the police chief that Bibi had “insulted the Prophet Mohammed.”

On November 8, 2010, after just five minutes of deliberation, Asia Noreen Bibi, under Article 295 of Pakistan’s Penal Code, was sentenced to death by hanging.

Asia Bibi was sentenced to death because she is a Christian and because she was thirsty.

Islamists cheered the verdict. Asia Bibi was alone against an entire country ready to sacrifice its weak Christian minority to appease the Islamists. After Bibi’s arrest, her family moved houses 15 times in five years. In the last weeks there have been reports of Asia suffering dementia. Eight years of solitary confinement, with the daily risk of being murdered in prison, have been a brutal form of psychological torture. For fear of being poisoned in prison, Bibi was allowed even to prepare her own meals.

A few days ago, during the plenary meeting in Strasbourg, the president of the European Parliament, Antonio Tajani, said:

“Asia Bibi enraged some women for having drunk from a well. According to those women, such contact with Christian lips would have contaminated the water. After being attacked and reported for blasphemy, Asia Bibi risks being hanged. I ask the Pakistani authorities… to make sure that woman can have a fair trial and to avoid any form of discrimination or religious prejudice.”

Now, we must fear that when Bibi is released, she will be targeted for assassination. Islamists have placed a bounty on her head of 50 million rupees ($375,000).

Salman Taseer, a brave Muslim who was governor of Pakistan’s Punjab province, paid with his life just for expressing support for Asia; he was murdered by his own bodyguard, who said “he did this because Mr Taseer recently defended the proposed amendments to the blasphemy law.” In another example of justice prevailing, his murderer, Mumtaz Qadri, was executed.

However, lawyers defending Christians and others accused of blasphemy in Pakistan are sometimes murdered as well. Pakistan’s federal Minister for Minorities, Shahbaz Bhatti, was also murdered for defending Bibi. Although no one has even been officially executed in Pakistan for the crime of blasphemy, “many have been murdered purely on the basis of accusations against them”, Newsweek reported. According to Human Rights Watch, since 1990 at least 60 people accused of blasphemy have been murdered. Last year, a student was lynched by a mob for allegedly committing blasphemy.

Thousands of extremist Muslims rallied in Pakistan in the last few weeks in order to pressure judges to uphold the death sentence. They chanted “Hang infidel Asia” as they marched through the streets. Now Pakistani Islamists say that the judges who acquitted Asia Bibi “deserve death“. That is why Bibi now needs to flee the country. Several countries have already offered her asylum.

Since Asia Bibi was condemned to death, Christians in Pakistan have suffered a string of especially deadly terror attacks. An Islamist suicide bomber even targeted and slaughtered Christian children at a playground in a public park. Where was the West?

French priest Pierre-Hervé Grosjean asked in Le Figaro:

“How could the country of human rights be silent in the face of this injustice? … How can one want to save the Christians of Iraq from the barbarians of ISIS, if one is not able to save a Christian from the laws of an allied country?… Non-believing friends, her fate also concerns you: through her, it is the freedom and the dignity of each one that you defend. Your word is precious and courageous. Your silence would be terrible”.

But the silence has been terrible.

No one took the streets of Europe to protest Asia Bibi’s imprisonment. No major Western columnist penned articles proclaiming “Je Suis Asia Bibi.” Western secular human rights groups, always ready and willing to embrace any cause, largely remained missing in action. The campaigners to free terrorists from a relatively comfortable prison in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, had no time to ask for Asia Bibi’s release. No feminist organization supported this Christian mother. The United Nations, which just condemned France for its law banning the niqab, also stood silent. It was a conspiracy of cowardice. [Bold Text Blog Editor’s]

After years in a windowless cell, Asia Bibi has triumphed over her would-be executioners. Injustice against Christians will continue, however, along with the West’s craven silence in the face of their persecution. Asia Bibi’s case is also the story of the West’s moral suicide.

Where have our philosophers, humanists and journalists been during these last nine years of injustice? It is this sad indifference that is devouring the West.

In the ultimate irony, just a few days ago, the so-called European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) upheld the same sort blasphemy law. The ECHR ruling is unspeakable. As Grégor Puppinck, head of the European Centre for Law and Justice, said, “the decision by the ECHR would have justified the conviction of Charlie Hebdo’s cartoons…” It is time to remove the unelected judges of that unaccountable and unappealable court.
