The Myth Of Jerusalem’s Holiness To Muslims

I believe President Trump failed to move the U.S. Embassy due to massive political pressure from camps that pay homage to Palestinian lies and from the political Establishment too concerned with acerbating conflict with Muslim-Arab allies that align with American National Interests against ISIS and Iran.

I believe the official reason given – to promote peace between Israel and the Arabs claiming to be Palestinians is bogus.

Along the lines of bogus Palestinians, authors Klein and Dr. Mandel explain the fake Palestinian and Islamic claim in general that Jerusalem is holy to Muslims. It is a Muslim lie to perpetuate conflict with the Jewish State of Israel.

The Myth Of Jerusalem’s Holiness To Muslims

By Morton A. Klein and Dr. Daniel Mandel

8 Sivan 5777 – June 2, 2017

Jewish Press

Having just marked the 50th anniversary of Israel’s reunification of Jerusalem, there is no better time to focus on the propaganda myth that Jerusalem is a holy city to Muslims.

The Muslim fixation and clamor on Jerusalem is actually a very recent development – a product of political conflict, not historical truth.

Jerusalem rates not a single mention in the Koran, and Muslims face Mecca in prayer. In the 7th century A.D., the Damascus-based Umayyad rulers built up Jerusalem as a counterweight to Mecca. This is when the important Muslim shrines the Dome of the Rock (691) and the Al-Aqsa mosque (705) were intentionally built on the site of the destroyed biblical Jewish Temples – a time-honored practice to physically signal the predominance of Islam.

Yet references in the Koran and hadith to Muhammad’s night journey to heaven on his steed Buraq from the “farthest mosque” couldn’t mean Jerusalem, because the Koran refers to the land of Israel as the “nearest” place. It couldn’t have been a reference to the Al-Aqsa mosque, for the simple reason that Al-Aqsa didn’t exist in Muhammad’s day.

With the demise of the Umayyad dynasty and the shift of the caliphate to Baghdad, Jerusalem fell into a long decline, scarcely interrupted by occasional bursts of Muslim interest in the city during the Crusader period and the Ottoman conquest. Mark Twain, visiting in 1867, described it as a “pauper village.”

Jerusalem did, however, become a Jewish-majority city during the 19th century. The 1907 Baedekers Travel Guide lists Jerusalem with a population of 40,000 Jews, 13,000 Muslims and 7,000 Christians. Jerusalem meant so little to the Ottomans that, during World War I, they let it fall into British hands without a fight and even contemplated entirely destroying the city before pulling out.

When did Jerusalem become a passionate Islamic issue? Only with the Arab confrontation with Zionism in the 20th century. It was Mufti of Jerusalem Haj Amin al-Husseini, a vociferous anti-Semite and later Nazi collaborator, who expended enormous energy to focus Islamic attention on the city.

Seeking to foment a Muslim war on British Palestine’s Jews, he fabricated a tradition that the wall to which Muhammad was believed to have tethered his steed Buraq was not the southern or eastern walls, as Muslims had asserted for centuries, but the Western Wall, Judaism’s holiest prayer site. (The Israeli-Jordanian-Palestinian status quo agreement forbids Jewish prayer at the religion’s holiest site, the Temple Mount.) This turned the Western Wall into a flashpoint.

The massive Arab assault on Jews across British Palestine in 1929, in which 133 Jews were murdered and hundreds more maimed, was triggered by false rumors that Jews had attacked, or were intending to attack, the mosques atop the Temple Mount.

Strangely, even under the mufti, the Temple Mount was still recognized by Muslims as the site of the biblical Jewish Temples. Thus, the Jerusalem Muslim Supreme Council’s publication “A Brief Guide to the Haram Al-Sharif” states regarding Jerusalem’s Temple Mount, “Its identity with the site of Solomon’s Temple is beyond dispute.” (After 1954, all such references to the biblical temples were excised from this publication.)

During Jordan’s illegal occupation and annexation of eastern Jerusalem from 1948-1967, Amman remained the Jordanian capital, not Jerusalem. No Arab rulers, other than Jordan’s kings, ever visited.

Neither the PLO’s National Charter nor the Fatah Constitution (the latter drafted during Jordanian rule) even mentions Jerusalem, let alone calls for its establishment as a Palestinian capital.

But today, Palestinian Authority officials deny Judaism’s connection to Jerusalem. PA Mufti Muhammad Hussein sneers at Jews’ “alleged Temple” and insists “Palestinians have an exclusive right…which they share with no one” to the Temple Mount. Sheikh Tayseer Tamimi, former chief justice of the PA’s religious court, insists he does not “know of any Jewish holy sites” in Jerusalem.

And the PA uses Jerusalem as a propaganda instrument to incite violence. In 1996, Yasir Arafat used Israel’s opening of an archaeological tunnel near the Temple Mount to incite riots on the basis of the lie that the tunnel threatened the stability of the Al-Aqsa mosque. Twenty-five Israeli soldiers and 100 Palestinian rioters were killed in the ensuing violence.

In 2015, PA President Mahmoud Abbas urged violence over Jews visiting the Temple Mount, borrowing from Haj Amin al-Husseini’s playbook the fabricated claims of Jewish assaults on the mosques. More than 30 Israelis were murdered and more than 200 Palestinians, the vast majority terrorists or rioters, were killed in subsequent attacks and clashes.

When a senior White House official told Bloomberg News that President Trump –reneging on his pre-election promise – would not move the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem “at this time” because “we’re not looking to provoke anyone when everyone’s playing really nice,” it gave the Palestinians their latest reason to believe violence over Jerusalem reaps rewards.

Far from aiding the cause of peace, the fabrication of Jerusalem’s importance to Islam enables the instigation of bloodshed. If the propaganda myth persists, expect no change.

About Jewish Press

The Jewish Press is the largest independent weekly Jewish newspaper in the United States. The paper, founded by Rabbi Sholom Klass (1916-2000) and Mr. Raphael Schreiber (1885-1980), debuted as a national weekly in January 1960 and quickly won a following for its eclectic mix of Jewish news, political and religious commentary, the largest Jewish classifieds and special features — including puzzles, games and illustrated stories —  for young readers.

For over five decades now The Jewish Press has championed Torah values and ideals from a centrist or Modern Orthodox perspective. The paper has been a tireless advocate on behalf of the State of Israel, Soviet Jewry, and agunot (women whose husbands refuse to grant them a religious divorce), and has taken the lead in urging a greater communal openness in addressing domestic violence and other social ills.

Known for its editorial feistiness, The Jewish Press was politically incorrect long before the phrase was coined. The paper over the years has been home to colorful and thought-provoking writers like Rebbetzin Esther Jungreis, Dr. Morris Mandel, Louis Rene Beres, Steven Plaut, Marvin Schick, Rabbi Dovid Goldwasser, Phyllis Chesler, Rabbi David Hollander, Paul Eidelberg, the late Rabbi Meir Kahane, as well as former editor Arnold Fine and current senior editor Jason Maoz.

In 2011 the JewishPress.com website and related Internet properties were relaunched as an independent, daily online newspaper, with breaking news and in-depth articles on Israel, the Jewish People and the world. The Internet edition is managed by Stephen Leavitt.

Chanukah – Christmas, 2016

Intro to ‘Chanukah – Christmas, 2016

John R. Houk, Editor

By Ari Bussel

I am a Christian Zionist. A person decried by the American Left, many if not most Progressive Christians (typically Mainline Christians) and a lot distrusting Jews (I’m guessing among the Jewish Left and distrustful Observant Orthodox Jews.

Being a Christian Zionist means I believe in the sovereign existence of the Jewish State of Israel. AND since I’m a Right Winger that believes Israel is the Promised Land to the Jews, I also fall on the side of the Greater Israel as the Land of the Jews. That belief steps on the toes of a lot of current sovereign Muslim nations and not just the Arabs pretending to be the non-existent Palestinians.

I say all this because I am quite appreciative of my online friends Ari Bussel and Norma Zager who often share the Jewish perspectives on current events affecting Israel and the Jews still spread around globally.

In this case Ari sends a Christmas message to Christians which includes a very succinct explanation of Chanukah which should bring at least a little self-musing by non-Jews of how God Almighty’s hand is upon the Jews – the Twelve Hebrew Tribes – and their God-given Land.

From a Christian perspective, without Jews there would be no Redeemer Jesus the Christ come to save humanity from the curse bequeathed by Adam and Eve to their descendants.

Chanukah – Christmas, 2016

By Ari Bussel

In Israel, especially in Orthodox neighborhoods, there are candelabra at the balconies, protected by glass structures, illuminating the surroundings.  For eight days, Israel is lit by light, laughter, play and song.

Candelabra on Balcony

In Israel, freshly cut Arizona cypress trees are being distributed for a symbolic price for the Christian community (and foreign diplomats and the foreign press) to utilize and enjoy.

This year, terrorism hit with widespread forest fires.  The headlines read, “Israel is burning.”  Yet, all that terrorism achieved is to galvanize the spirit, reignite the determination and conviction and remind us what is really important.

As he called to wish Chag Samech (Happy Chanukah), my friend Brad Greenberg said: “Be thankful there is Christmas; be grateful that you can celebrate Christmas!”

The joy of the season is magnified this year in light of what is happening all around us.  The mere ability to worship, celebrate and enjoy the spirit of Christmas – something we take so readily for granted – is like the light of candles in the darkness:  fragile, uncertain, yet with immense potential to conquer the darkness.

1) Baluza Post  – 14 (002)

In Europe, Christmas is being ushered by terrorist attacks (and if last year is any indication, women beware during New Year).  There are entire areas under Sharia Law with no access to Christians, and there are countries where the name “Christ” is no longer allowed.

Europeans are dying, and their birthrate is approaching negative territory, whereas the immigrant Muslim population is exploding.  Europe is being replaced by Eurabia.

In Israel, the birthplace of Christianity, any connection between the Temple Mount and the Holy Temple with Judaism and Christianity has been conveniently erased by a UN body:  UNESCO declared the place to be a Muslim heritage site.  It may seem inconsequential, but it is not.  The poison is percolating the global mindset.  Another victory has been achieved.

The process of erosion has accelerated:  First, physical evidence has been destroyed when hundreds of truckloads of “dirt” from Solomon Stables on Temple Mount were removed by the Muslim Wakf that manages the place and dumped like trash to a ravine.  Then, the spiritual connection is being destroyed, thus leaving humanity with a mere memory of what once were Judaism and Christianity.

Nine centuries before the appearance of Muhammad, Jews in Judea and Samaria fought the Greeks and prevailed.  Today we are told these areas of Zion Jerusalem are “occupied” by “settlements,” and the UN is planning to send observers and to segregate any product from there by special markings.  (Some eighty years ago, the Nazis used a Yellow Star to identify Jews.  Today, the UN is marking Israel, in preparation to what may come next.)

We already hear the voices that call the Jews to pack their belongings and return to the places from where they came.  Stripped of any connection to the land, Jews may once again become unwanted guests in lands-not-theirs.  The craving of two millennia “for next year in Jerusalem,” the promise “If I forget you, Oh, Jerusalem,” praying toward Jerusalem and the fact that wherever Jews are buried, they always face Jerusalem, are all ignored, as is the Bible, archeology and any historical records.

Once before, the Nazis tried to do something similar.  First they started burning books, then they burned the Jews, apparently refusing to acknowledge history:  Empires rose and fell, and the Jewish people are still here.  The Jews are not vermin or cockroaches; the Jews are a Light Unto the Nations.

The two centuries leading to the Common Era saw the rule of the Greeks.  From 175 to 164 b.c., Antiochus IV (also known in Judaism as “Antiochus the Evil”) was in charge, and the Jews of Israel were being Hellenized.  The Greeks did not want to eradicate the Jews or erase them off the map.  Quite on the contrary, they had a great respect to the Jews.  But they expected the Jews to become one of them, in behavior and thought.

God had to cease, so no circumcision, no Shabbat observance and no other acts unique to Judaism.  The men were to join gymnasiums and dress like the Greeks, and God was to become one of many, reduced to non-being.  Many Jews in Israel followed suit, fully assimilating, but a small group stood firm.

A Jewish high priest from Modi-im rebelled.  Matityahu and his five sons, also known as the Hashmonaim or Maccabim prevailed and ruled until 32 b.c. (the Maccabiah Games are derived from the same word, that abbreviates four words from Moses Song, Exodus 15:11: “Who is like unto Thee, O Lord, among the might?”).

It was that rebellion that is considered a miracle.  A few against many led by Judea the Maccabi.  Two millennia later, a handful rose again, in the Warsaw Ghetto, and for almost an entire month stood their ground against the Nazi war machine.

The miracle of God’s greatness – of a few against the many – is thus remembered and celebrated to this very day.

Another miracle is highlighted.  When the Hashmonaim cleared the Temple (the one that is now controlled by the Muslim Wakf and has apparently no connection to Judaism), the olive oil there used to light the Menorah was not sanctified, and it would have taken time to prepare new olive oil suitable for worship.

Only a tiny tin was found with olive oil that could be used, enough to last for one day.  Another miracle happened, and the olive oil lasted for eight full days (until new olive oil was available to continue the work of the Cohanim – priests – at the Temple).

Thus, to this very day, we light candles for eight days, starting with one on the first night and adding an additional one each night.  These candles are to be watched and enjoyed but not used, so we are not allowed to use them to light one another.  A separate candle is used, “The Server,” or Shamash.

Candelabra

Eight indicates transcendence from the orderly world (the seven days of creation) to the spiritual.  (Circumcision, for example, takes place on the eight day.)

Thus came about Chanukah, the holiday of miracles.  It is also known as the Festival of Lights, or Festival of Inauguration (re-dedication of the Temple).  We are told (Maccabim Book II) that it was really the Festival of Tabernacles postponed (as it could not be celebrated before the rebellion).  For eight days, we eat potato pancakes (“levivot”) and doughnuts (“sufganiot”), all reminding us the miracle of the oil.

Latkes for Chanukah – Potato Pancakes

Chanukah is not included in the Jewish Bible, but it is mentioned in the New Testament (John 10:22):  It was now winter, and Jesus was in Jerusalem at the time of Hanukkah, the Festival of Dedication. (New Living Translation)

Chanukah is celebrated starting the 25th day of the Hebrew month of Kislev for eight days:  25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31st, 1st.  While the Hebrew calendar is a lunar one, the fact that Christmas later evolved to be on the 25th of December, “in the middle of winter,” just eight days before New Year, is not a coincidence.

Nor is it a coincidence that this year, when the two calendars (Jewish and Gregorian) identically overlap, we celebrate Christmas Eve and the eve of the first night of Chanukah at the same time.

It is a signal to all of us – Jews and Christians alike – that we are one; we must stand together lest “a house divided falls.”  Our roots are one and the same, making us inseparable.  Also, our enemies do not differentiate between us – to them, we are all one enemy, the army of non-believers, composed of “pigs and apes,” the Saturday and the Sunday people.

So let us celebrate Christmas; let us celebrate the eight days of Chanukah, for miracles happened at that time so long ago and in these very days.  Let us celebrate the Glory and Might of God, Lord of Hosts, for He is our Salvation, our past, our future and our present.

Here is Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s Christmas greetings (2016):

To all of our Christian friends around the world, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

I send you these greetings from Jerusalem. I’m standing in the courtyard of this magnificent International Christian Embassy. I’m so proud of our relations with our Christian brothers and sisters. I wonder for many of you if you remember the experience you had when you first visited Israel, when you saw the Church of the Holy Sepulcher or the Via Dolorosa or the Sea of Galilee or Nazareth. I’m sure it moved you deeply.

And it moves us deeply to have this bond with you because we all know that this land of Israel is the land of our common heritage. It changed the story of humanity, it changed civilization. What a magnificent heritage it is. Yet, we also know that it is under attack these days, that the forces of intolerance, of barbarism that attack all religions attack Christians with particular vehemence. We stand with you and I’m proud of the fact that in Israel, this is the one place in the Middle East that the Christian community not only survives but thrives and it’s no accident. It’s because of our commitment to religious freedom; it’s because of our embrace of our heritage; it’s because of our embrace of our common future.

So please come to Israel. Come and visit me, I’m waiting for you. It will be a great experience for you. Merry Christmas, Happy New Year.

Join us and demand the UN explicitly recognize Judaism’s history on the Temple Mount and Western Wall at:

On October 14, 2016 the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) ruled the Temple Mount has no Jewish history but has Islamic history.

The irony is Mexico contemplated forcing a re-vote but Western nations more friendly to Islam than to the ancient heritage of persuaded Mexico to withdraw re-vote request from UNESCO. Here is an excerpt from the Middle East Monitor –  examine the 10/14 yeas, nays and abstentions:

How countries voted previously

Countries in support of the motion:

Algeria, Bangladesh, Brazil, Chad, China, Dominican Republic, Egypt, Iran, Lebanon, Malaysia, Mauritania, Mexico, Morocco, Mozambique, Nicaragua, Nigeria, Oman, Pakistan, Qatar, Russia, Senegal, South Africa, Sudan and Vietnam

Those against:

Israel, Estonia, Germany, Lithuania, the Netherlands, the UK and the US

Abstentions:

Albania, Argentina, Cameroon, Cote de’Ivoire, El Salvador, Spain, France, Ghana, Greece, Guinea, Haiti, India, Italy, Japan, Kenya, Nepal, Uganda, Paraguay, South Korea, St. Kits and Nevis, Slovenia, Sri Lanka, Sweden, Togo, Trinidad and Ukraine

Absent countries:

Serbia and Turkmenistan (MEM; 10/18/16 10:24 am)

Here are the interesting behind the scenes story on Mexico wavering:

Mexico was one of several countries who approved the UNESCO Jerusalem Resolution. Six of the other nations opposed and another 26 refused to vote. But, on Monday, Mexico reportedly changed its stance on its vote and will pass up on the second vote.

Mexico’s Foreign Ministry said that the country recognizes the link between the Jewish people and East Jerusalem. He added that the government wishes to express its deep appreciation for the Jewish community and for its economic, social and cultural contributions to Mexico.

UNESCO Jerusalem Resolution: Why Mexico Changed Its Decision

Mexico’s change in decision on the UNESCO Jerusalem Resolution happened after its own Ambassador, Andres Roemer, walked out after the Thursday vote. It was reportedly a personal vendetta against Mexico’s decision favoring the Jerusalem resolution.

In the meantime, the Mexican government has removed Ambassador Roemer, a Mexican Jew, from office immediately on Tuesday. This happened despite Mexican Jewish community protests.

Below are some Christian Israel-friendly posts encouraging you to sign a petition for Congress to place pressure on the United Nations. You KNOW President Barack Hussein Obama won’t holler for a revote, even though he dared not have the USA vote in favor of removing Jewish history in an election climate that needs traditional Jewish-Dems to vote for Crooked Hillary. And if Crooked Hillary is elected in November YOU KNOW she won’t do anything to correct the UN’s historical revisionism.

Ergo, check out these posts. Sign the petitions. AND BETTER YET, call or write your Congressman and Senators to makes some noise against UNESCO!

From the desk of Mat Staver:

10/16/2016

On Thursday, UNESCO, the UN cultural agency, passed a resolution which rejects the Jewish connection to Jerusalem. The latest outrage is wholly anti-Semitic, fraught with revisionist history, and excoriates the Israeli government. It should come as no surprise that the “Occupied Palestine” resolution was submitted by six Muslim nations: Algeria, Egypt, Lebanon, Morocco, Oman, Qatar, and Sudan.

UNESCO wants us to believe:

  • That Judaism has no historical or rightful connection to the holy sites of the Temple Mount and the Western Wall. It refers to these sites only by their Muslim names. It is in total disregard of biblical history dating back to the Old Testament.
  • It condemns Israel and refers to the Jewish State 14 times as “the Occupying power.”
  • It calls for safeguards of the Palestinian cultural heritage and the distinctive character of east Jerusalem (a divided Jerusalem).
  • It charges Israel with a long list of offenses, including fostering terrorism.

Reaction to the vote has been swift and strong:

  • In the wake of UNESCO’s action, Israel has cut or frozen ties with UNESCO
  • Israeli Education Minister Naftali Bennett said UNESCO was ignoring “thousands of years of Jewish ties to Jerusalem” and aiding “Islamist terror”.
  • Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that UNESCO had become a “theater of the absurd” in “another delusional decision”.
  • Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat said he was “outraged” by the resolution. “Would UNESCO vote to deny the Christian connection to the Vatican? Or the Muslim connection to Mecca? The UNESCO vote claims that there is no connection between the Jewish people and the Western Wall. In fact, it is the UNESCO vote that has no connection to reality.”

The resolution will now be submitted to UNESCO’s executive body, which will vote on whether to adopt it.” The Associated Press reports the “validated resolution” is expected to be heard early next week.

+ + We are calling for the United States government to launch an action of support for Israel!

With UNESCO attempting to erase Jewish history in Jerusalem, Christians in Defense of Israel is petitioning Congress to uphold Jerusalem as the eternal capital of Israel. With your help, we are urging lawmakers to take action on behalf of The Jerusalem Embassy Act of 1995, acknowledge Jerusalem as the undisputed and undivided capital of Israel, and move the U.S. Embassy to the City of David.
We believe that this declaration will send a message to the entire world that Jerusalem and its holy sites belong to Israel!
John, stand with us by adding your name to our I Stand With Israel and Jerusalem as its Undivided Capital petition.

UN body ratifies decision to erase Jewish history at the Temple Mount

From: The Israel Project

Early this morning, the executive committee of UNESCO ratified the decision to erase Jewish history on the Temple Mount. It is now the official position to ignore Judaism’s 3,000 year history at the site.

A dangerous precedent has been set – a UN body is calling Israel “the occupying power” at the Western Wall and essentially denying the historical facts that tie Israel to Jerusalem. It could have serious implications on Israel’s future.

It is time to fight fire with fire. More than 23,000 people have signed our petition demanding the UN explicitly recognize Judaism’s history on the Temple Mount and Western Wall – will you join them?

Click here to add your name and demand the UN explicitly recognize Judaism’s history on the Temple Mount and Western Wall

UNESCO didn’t just erase Jewish history, they erased Christian history at the holy site as well. Scripture says Jesus prayed at the Temple. There’s evidence that Byzantine Christians used the Temple Mount before the Muslim conquest of Jerusalem. But in UNESCO’s resolution, all history – other than Islamic history – was erased.

If we don’t act now, Judaism could lose its place at its most sacred site and Israel’s international standing could be in danger. In the face of this travesty, we must stand up for Israel.

41 Senators, Representatives and more than 23,000 signers to our petition oppose UNESCO’s anti-Israel resolution. Will you, your friends and your family join them?

ICEJ STATEMENT ON UNESCO VOTE

Resolution denies any Jewish connection to holy sites

By Dr. Jürgen Bühler, Executive Director

15 Oct 2016 (All day) +0200

International Christian Embassy Jerusalem

We are utterly dismayed that UNESCO has adopted once again a scandalous resolution denying any Jewish connection to the holy sites in Jerusalem and the Land of Israel, including the Temple Mount.

The resolution omits the traditional, biblical names of sacred Jewish sites, calling them by alternative Muslim names only. This is tantamount to rewriting history and stripping these sites of their 4,000 years of Jewish and 2,000 years of Christian connection. We, as Christians, are deeply concerned that the wording accepted by an international body intends to eradicate any Jewish and Christian bonds to these holy places.

This represents a calculated insult against the Jewish people and an affront to two billion Christians worldwide who know full well that as a faithful Jew, Jesus regularly visited the holy Jewish Temple on this site, taught there, and was zealous for its calling as a “house of prayer for all nations.”

The International Christian Embassy Jerusalem is now hosting over 5,000 Christians from nearly 100 nations for a Christian celebration of the biblical Feast of Tabernacles in Jerusalem. Their presence in this city to mark a Jewish festival at this time demonstrates the historic continuity between our respective faiths and the special place Jerusalem and the Temple Mount in particular hold for Jews and Christians alike. So on behalf of these Christian pilgrims and the millions more they represent back in their home countries, we want to affirm to the Israeli public that we respect the Jewish reverence for Jerusalem and the Temple Mount, and we will stand with you in confronting this devious assault on the historic sites in Israel.

The ICEJ had already activated our national branches over recent weeks to work towards changing the wording of this disgraceful UNESCO resolution. And you can rest assured that we will never forget Jerusalem! (Psalm 137:5-6)

Palestinians Rage – Jewish Civilians Attacked

Joseph’s Tomb Torched by Crazy Palestinians 10/16/15

John R. Houk

October 18, 2015

Israel has been blasted with Jew-hatred from Arabs that call themselves Palestinians. The murderous attacks have largely been committed by Muslim teens who have been brainwashed to hate Jews and the Jewish state of Israel from the time they were in their cradles.

Palestinian Muslims are walking about stabbing Jews and torching Jewish holy sites. Mahmoud Abbas started this lunacy with the false accusation that the two mosques on the Temple Mount were being overrun by Jews whose “filthy feet” should never touch because it is Islam’s. I’ve got news for you Abbas the Temple Mount was Jewish thousands of years before Mohammed was born. Since the Jews can torch the Jewish holy site (appreciated by Christians for that matter) of Joseph’s Tomb around the Judea-Samaria town of Nablus, Jews should take over the Temple Mount and blow off those sacrilegious mosques to H-E-double-hockey-sticks!

Evidently Hamas didn’t want Abbas to steal all the blood curdling glory because they have called for a day of rage. How Palestinian of them. Screw political correctness and deport these haters out of Judea-Samaria (called the West Bank by Muslims and idiot Westerners) and Gaza then do whatever is necessary to keep them out.

PM Netanyahu Holds Press Conference for the International Media

(Communicated by the Prime Minister’s Media Adviser)

[text sent as an attachment by Ari Bussel 10/15/15]

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu today (Thursday, 15 October 2015), at the Foreign Ministry, held a press conference for the foreign press, along with Foreign Ministry Director General Dr. Dore Gold and National Security Adviser Yossi Cohen.

Prime Minister Netanyahu: “The current terror campaign in Israel is a result of continuous Palestinian incitement. First, on the al-Aqsa Mosque and the outrageous claims that we are changing the status quo there or intend to destroy it, and now we have a new big lie.

That new big lie is that Israel is executing Palestinians. Yesterday, President Mahmoud Abbas accused Israel of putting to death, executing an innocent Palestinian boy.

First of all, he’s not dead – he’s alive. Second, he’s not innocent – he tried to kill, murder, knife to death an innocent Israeli youngster, 13-years-old, riding a bicycle. This Palestinian terrorist is now being treated in Hadassah hospital in Israel.

The only way that we can fight this big lie and all the other lies that are hurled at Israel and spread in the Palestinian social network and from there to the world, is to tell the truth. This is what we will do today. We expect all our friends and anyone concerned with the facts and the truth to look at these facts, to see the truth and not to draw a false symmetry between Israeli citizens and those who would stab them and knife them to death. Thank you.”

Terror in Israel

Arab-Palestinian kid brainwashed to hate Jews

Ari Bussel gives a much needed lesson on Antisemitism and how the West (i.e. the USA and EU) seem to have been anesthetized to the Jew-hatred being acted out by Arab Muslims who call themselves Palestinians. This is a must read.

All rational and good people must become an obstacle in the advance of the devout extremist Muslims. Time to stand up and see good and evil for what they truly are and not what our prejudices would like them to be.” –Ari Bussel

Terror in Israel

Foreign Correspondent Ari Bussel found himself alone on Bus #1 encircling the Old City, from Damascus Gate to Jaffe Gate. It turned out to be a very short while after a terrorist attack in the Old City. This called for a first ever “selfie,” where the impression is the empty bus (anyone who has ever taken Bus #1 to the Kotel, the Western Wall, knows how crowded the ride is without exception).

Three police officers were severely wounded at a stabbing attack in the Old City in Jerusalem just now. The terrorist was killed.

This is the latest in a sequence of many such incidents gaining momentum, now called a “terror wave” throughout Israel. In Jerusalem, one hears about the “security situation,” and the streets and buses feel less crowded than normal. There are demonstrations throughout Israel by Arabs, trying to inflame a situation that simply does not exist.

Police reinforcements at the main entrance to the Western Wall square in the Old City in Jerusalem.

In the city of Afula’s central bus station, a young woman terrorist was shot as she was about to commit an attack with a knife. She is hospitalized, and her father was interviewed complaining that the response was too harsh. (The response was ruled “just and proper” given that the terrorist had both the tool and the intention.)

Really, how preposterous. She was running with a knife, attempting to murder innocent civilians indiscriminately (as long as they were Jewish Israelis), and as she was shot in an attempt to stop the act in progress, perhaps the shooter—who must be commended for his ability to react in time—should have asked her nicely to stop. There is no rationalizing with the irrational.

Here in the Middle East, the Arab mentality is disjointed from reality. They have started this “spontaneous” stabbing intifada in reaction to Israel supposedly trying to “topple” the Al Aqsa mosque and changing the “status quo” on Temple Mount. Nothing can be further from truth, as neither ever happened.

Well, if this does not stand to the test of facts or reality, then the reason for this new “instantaneous uprising of the youth” is the Jews’ defiling the Temple Mount. Abbas, the head of the “Palestinian” clan in Ramallah, likes to use the word “defile.” Well, here they are correct about at least one thing: Jews do ascend to the Temple Mount, their holiest place of worship.

Alas, they claim I am wrong here, too. For in their minds Israel and the Jews have no connection to Jerusalem and the Temple Mount. The Islamists are actively erasing any connection between the two, although they have quite a formidable task of erasing three thousand years of Judeo-Christian history, archeology, literature, music, religion and culture. Worry not; they are hard at work and making great strides!

An Arab member of the Knesset went as far as to say that Israeli Jews are confusing a property owner and a burglar. He demanded the right to go to the Temple Mount after the Prime Minister forbade all Members of the Knesset and all Ministers from doing that – be they Jews of not. Clearly to this particular Arab MK, the PM is mistaken, for Israeli-Jews are burglars in a land not theirs.

Yet, the true insanity is that no one corrects the Arab MKs or the Israeli Arabs, who voice utter hatred and either perpetrate, participate or cheer when these vile terror attacks against Jewish Israelis take place.

For many years the rhetoric among those who call themselves “Palestinians” has skyrocketed. It pervades every form of communication and life, from books and TV programs, songs, movies, stamps, city square and football fields names, both for adults and still more worrisome for children.

They teach their children that Jews are evil, the very incarnation of the Devil on earth, and the aspiration of each child must be to become a martyr, to liberate the land, to drive the Jews to extinction in a most horrific and painful manner.

They strive to do that, encouraged and brainwashed from an early age on TV, later in summer camps and at schools and throughout young adulthood at the mosques in weekly sermons.

No one counteracts this poison. It is a society of Shaids [or Shahids aka Muslim suicide martyrs for Islam], ready to be sent on homicide missions. An army trained and brainwashed to automation, so that the mere utterance of the word “Jew” or “Israel” prompts a physiological reaction, triggering a mechanism that readies the body and soul to spring into action.

They do not want “peace,” and for those of us who say “two states for two people,” allow me to define the “two states” for better clarity: One state, “Palestine,” is clean and clear of any Jews. The other, “Israel,” is a temporary state of affairs: a country of all its citizens, with a “refugee right of return to their homes.” (“Refugees” are defined according to the UN very-special-definition-of-“Palestinian”-refugees-only: they and their descendants for all eternity.)

In other words, they want official recognition of a country-hood, and then they can continue the systematic destruction of whatever is left of the Jewish state.

Make no mistake; theirs is not a striving for peace or for “living side by side.” Theirs is nothing short of a holy war to destroy the Jewish State and become part of a global Islamic Caliphate.

The sooner the world internalizes there is no difference between the “Palestinians” and IS-ISIL-ISIS, the less complicated it will be to protect and defend our very existence. Until then, we remain confused.

From the society at large, to the individuals that compose it, the attitude is one: Terrorism is the method of choice, and it is definitely not “Terrorism” when applied toward Jews or Israel. It is merely “singing a freedom song.”

Thus, terrorists who have been convicted of murders, many of multiple most horrific murders, and are in Israeli jails receive huge annual compensations from the Palestinian Authority. The PA justifies such use of European and American funds as just and proper. So the United States winds up indirectly paying terrorists for their handiwork.

At the individual level, a child was recently hurt from a gunshot. The parents immediately blamed Israel, for apparently Jews’ favorite pastime is target-practice on Arabs.

It did not take long to establish the gunshot was a result of the child playing with a gun that belongs to his older brother who is part of the “Palestinian” security apparatus. Oh, just a tiny confusion, for Israel and the Jews are always to blame.

One of the most certain realities of life aside from the fact the sun will rise and set is that the world hates the Jewish people and will always be happy to believe the worst of them. Until one accepts this truth, human behavior will be colored and tinged with fantasy.

The make-belief does not stop with the so-called “Palestinians” or the Israeli Arabs. Take, for instance, Jordan and Egypt, both at peace with Israel, both aware and understanding the current situation. Yet both are blaming Israel – in recent declarations – for the “escalation” of the tensions and for her overly severe reaction.

If one does not accept the insanity of these assertions and how bias they truly are, it is easy to see that the Arab world has become a breeding ground for terror and killing, and yet the world dismisses their bad behavior and continues to blame the Jews and Israel.

Jordan, for instance, called on the international community to apply pressure on Israel to “stop the crimes of the Occupier’s force in the West Bank and Gaza.”

The following measures are intolerable:

o Calling to duty border police reserves;

o 2,000 police officers as added reinforcements to Jerusalem;

o Possible additional reinforcement to other cities (Haifa, Afula, Ramlah, Lod – mixed Arab-Jewish cities);

o Special protective measures along major transportation arteries;

o Changing the policy regarding issuance of guns for civilians for self-protection (the mayor of Jerusalem called anyone with a gun to carry it at all times).

Indeed, a wave of terror has been washing Israel, the totality of the country, and Israel must be restrained and allow the tension to dissipate, i.e. sacrifice more innocent victims, in order to appease the haters of the world.

A week ago Palestinians shot a young couple of “Settlers.” (There was a special bonus, for they were Orthodox, he apparently a Rabbi.)

The murderers confirmed the kill, but spared the four young children sitting in the back. Why did they do so, when offspring of the evil settlers must be eradicated completely, lest we want “more of the same?” [A Blood Sacrifice” by Ari Bussel]

Only because previous such murders, of parents and kids, of young children, many not yet talking or walking, (e.g. the Fogel family [Partners in Peace” by Norma Zager]) created a backlash that was not conducive to the “freedom fight” and image of innocence of these “Palestinian Heroes.”

Where was the outcry of the Islamic clergy throughout the Arab world and in America? They were and remain silent. Utter and complete silence. “Islam is a peaceful religion” that does not tolerate such behavior, we are told repeatedly. How slick are CAIR’s spokespeople, how ingenious. Clearly, it is not “tolerated” when applied toward “believers,” but Jews are nothing than filth. Lest one thinks Jewish people are victims, they would be wrong, as they are a big part of the problem.

If the opposite had occurred, Jews, particularly Israeli and American, would have been shouting at the top of their voices “we are sorry; we repent; this is so wrong; please accept our sorrow, please forgive us!” Until Jewish people abandon their mass psychosis of enabling their destroyers and helping them to destroy other Jews, nothing will change.

According to prevailing wisdom, Israel must quietly accept what is coming to her. Apparently, in the eyes of the haters, citizens stabbed to death on the streets of Israel are a tiny price to pay for the audacity of being.

Jewish people must stop apologizing for the evil of their enemies. Throughout history Jews have stood silent while being destroyed as the world silently ignored Jewish pain. Nothing has changed nor will it until the self-hatred of the Jewish people is eliminated.

Israel must have “Chutzpah,” and refuse to submit. All rational and good people must become an obstacle in the advance of the devout extremist Muslims. Time to stand up and see good and evil for what they truly are and not what our prejudices would like them to be.

VIDEO: Abbas: We won’t allow Jews with their “filthy feet” to “defile our Al-Aqsa Mosque”

Published by palwatch

Published on Sep 17, 2015

PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas: “We bless you, we bless the Murabitin (those carrying out Ribat, religious conflict/war to protect land claimed to be Islamic), we bless every drop of blood that has been spilled for Jerusalem, which is clean and pure blood, blood spilled for Allah, Allah willing. Every Martyr (Shahid) will reach Paradise, and everyone wounded will be rewarded by Allah.

The Al-Aqsa [Mosque] is ours, the Church of the Holy Sepulchre is ours, and they have no right to defile them with their filthy feet. We will not allow them to, and we will do everything in our power to protect Jerusalem.”
[Official PA TV, Sept. 16, 2015]

I have posted two Ari Bussel article about murderous Arab Muslim terrorists who call themselves Palestinians and attacked and killed Rabbi Eitam and Naama Henkin with their four children in their car: “A Blood Sacrifice” and “NO PLACE IS SAFE”. Just as some added info the media that covered the incident in Israel claimed the four children were spared because the Islamic terrorists have had unfavorable responses to past vicious murdering of children along with the parents. Eitam’s brother has said in essence that is a bunch of hooey. The children were spared because one of the Hamas murderers was shot and the Muslim focus was to get out of Dodge before the police and IDF showed up.

Yagil Henkin, the brother of Eitam Henkin, who was shot and killed in last week’s terror attack near the Itamar settlement in the West Bank, spoke out Tuesday in an interview with Army Radio, describing the moment he learned of the murder of his brother and his sister-in-law, Naama. Henkin also discussed the state of the Henkin’s four children, who were present in the vehicle when terrorists murdered their parents.

Henkin’s comments came a day after the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) announced that security forces had arrested members of a Hamas cell responsible for the attack. An investigation into the attack found that the four children were likely not hurt because one of the terrorists accidentally shot one of his partners, and they were forced to flee.

“Dealing with the question of whether the terrorists took mercy on the children seemed sick to me. There is a lot of history of terror in Israel, and there are many cases in which the children are the targets of the terrorists. The attempts to credit them for the fact that they only murdered the parents and not the children – that seemed ridiculous,” he told Army Radio.

The Shin Bet announced on Monday that a Hamas terrorist cell from Nablus was behind the murder of the Henkins as they drove near Itamar with their four children.

… After the [victims’] car stopped, two members of the cell got out of their car, and fired again, from very short range, on those in the vehicle,” the Shin Bet said.

At this stage, Razak was accidentally shot, dropping his handgun at the scene. It was recovered by security forces. The cell fled to Nablus, 5 km. away. (Brother of terror victim Henkin: It’s ‘sick’ to ask if terrorists took mercy on the children; By MAARIV ONLINE; Jerusalem Post; 10/06/2015 11:12)

And from Israel National News:

The ISA cleared for publication that five Hamas terrorists responsible for the murder have been arrested.

During the course of their interrogation, one – Karam Lutfi Fathi Razek – revealed that he was accidentally shot by a fellow terrorist in the hand during the attack. The two had been shooting at either side of the car’s front row, causing their line of fire to overlap. After the accidental injury, the terrorist dropped his rifle and the five fled back to Shechem.

This mistake may have saved the Henkin children, a senior IDF official stated to Yediot Aharonot Monday night.

“Friendly fire on one member of the group presumably led to the children remaining alive,” the unnamed officer stated.

Earlier in the investigation, another security official theorized that the terrorists never saw the four children in the back of the Henkins’ vehicle. (How One Terrorist’s Mistake Spared the Henkin Children; By Tova Dvorin; Israel National News – Arutz Sheva 7; 10/5/2015, 8:42 PM / Last Update: 10/5/2015, 10:10 PM)

And The Jewish Press:

The investigation revealed that one of the terrorists shot his friend by mistake during the attack, forcing them to flee the scene hastily, which explains why they left alone the children in the back seat of the Henkins’ car. The wounded killer was picked up by security forces from his hospital bed in Shechem.

The cell members, five Hamas operatives from Shechem, were picked up one day after the attack. Several Arabs suspected of helping the cell have also been arrested. The cell was under the command of a released prisoner, a Hamas member, who provided the weapons and planned the attack but did not participate in it personally. (Investigators: Henkin Children Saved by Killers’ Friendly Fire; By JNi.Media; The Jewish Press; 10/5/15)

The fact of the matter Islam directs Muslims to be merciful ONLY if an infidel (kafir) converts to Islam. The children were spared NOT out of mercy but rather out of an inconvenient moment of terrorist friendly fire.

THE ONE THING the American press seems to have ignored (if they even reported the Islamic terrorism at all) is that the murders of the Henkin couple were inspired by Palestine Authority President (also PLO Chairman) Mahmoud Abbas disavowing the Oslo Accords road to a fake Palestinian nation and speaking Jew-hatred against Jews who wanted to express their Judaism at the Temple Mount on Sukkot. Evidently the Muslims are so heartless against Jews that refuse Jewish access to their holiest piece of land in their faith. Yeah, Muslims desecrated the Temple Mount by building two Mosques on the Jewish holy spot after conquering the area from the Byzantines – Truthful but sanitized CBN versionA more graphic History of Jihad version (also briefly held by then Zoroastrian Persians).

Islamic terrorism has been ongoing by attacking Israeli Jews in brutish cowardly fashions that only the so-called Religion of Peace can justify. How can Obama and Establishment Republicans even conceive the formation of an independent Palestinian State? These people – young and old alike – ONLY desire a sovereign land as a base to destroy Israel and kill Jews. It is time to not only get tough with the Arabs that call themselves Palestinians but ALL Muslims who support such violent acts of terrorism and war crimes. It is time for America to develop the courage to approach these barbarians still stuck in a Middle Ages mentality to face a WWII victory goal with extreme prejudice. Thanks to Iran and Russia, the seeds of the next World War have been planted. For God’s sake let’s start preparing a win strategy that means collateral damage for foolish citizens not wise enough to get out of the way.

Column One: Abbas must be stopped

By CAROLINE B. GLICK

October 8, 2015

Jerusalem Post

“The man who propagates this murderous lie and orchestrates the death and mayhem that is its bloody harvest is none other than the West’s favorite Palestinian moderate.”

All the Palestinian terrorist attacks that have been carried out in recent weeks share one common feature. All the terrorists believe that by attacking Jews they are protecting the Temple Mount from destruction.

And why shouldn’t they believe this obscenity? Everywhere they go, every time they turn on their televisions, read the paper, go to school or the mosque they are told that the Jews are destroying al-Aksa Mosque. Al-Aksa, they are told, is in danger. They must take up arms to defend it from the Jews, whatever the cost.

One man stands at the center of this blood libel. The man who propagates this murderous lie and orchestrates the death and mayhem that is its bloody harvest is none other than the West’s favorite Palestinian moderate: PLO chief and Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas.

On September 16 Abbas gave a speech. It was broadcast on PA television and posted on his Facebook page. In it, he incited the Palestinians to kill Jews. In his words, “Al-Aksa Mosque is ours.

They [the Jews] have no right to desecrate it with their filthy feet. We won’t allow them to do so and we will do everything in our power to defend Jerusalem.”

Abbas added, “We bless every drop of blood spilled for Jerusalem. This is clean and pure blood, blood that was spilled for God. It is Allah’s will that every martyr will go to heaven and every wounded [terrorist] will receive God’s reward.”

Two weeks later, Abbas opened his address before the UN General Assembly with the same lies, threats, and incitement.

Almost exactly a year ago, Abbas spewed the same bile in a speech, with the same murderous consequences. In a speech before Fatah’s executive committee last October, Abbas said, “We must prevent them [the Jews] from entering the holy site in every possible way. This is our holy site, this is our al-Aksa and our church [the Church of the Holy Sepulchre]. They have no right to enter them. They have no right to desecrate them. We must prevent them from entering. We must block them with our bodies to defend our holy sites.”

In subsequent weeks, Abbas’s words were rebroadcast 19 times on Palestinian television.

During that period, Arab terrorists massacred rabbis in prayer at a Jerusalem synagogue, attempted to assassinate human rights activist Yehudah Glick, and murdered Jews standing at light rail stops in the capital.

Eleven Israelis were butchered in that terrorist onslaught.

Then as now, Abbas and his lieutenants not only incited attacks, they incentivized would be perpetrators to kill Jews.

Every year, the same PA that claims perpetual poverty pays more than $100 million to terrorists imprisoned in Israeli jails. Their salaries range between four to seven times the average PA salary, depending on the lethality of the attacks they carried out.

Popular awareness of the financial benefits of terrorist activities has played a critical role in motivating Palestinians to attack Jews. This is made clear by the actions in recent weeks of several of the supposedly “lone wolf” attackers in the hours before they struck. Several of them – like their predecessors in last year’s onslaught – announced their intention to become martyrs to protect al-Aksa from the Jews on their Facebook pages immediately before they carried out their attacks.

Money may be the greatest incentive Abbas and his PA provide for potential terrorists. But it isn’t the only one. There is also the social status they confer on terrorists and their families. Every would-be terrorist knows that if he succeeds in killing Jews, he will be glorified by the Palestinian media and his family will be embraced by the PA establishment – first and foremost by Abbas himself, who has made a habit of meeting with terrorists and their families.

Presently, Israel’s security brass is embroiled in a bitter dispute with our elected leaders regarding the nature of the current terrorist offensive. The dispute bubbled to the surface Wednesday night when the generals used military reporters to criticize Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for blaming Abbas for the violence.

The generals insist that Abbas is a good guy.

He’s trying to calm the situation, they argue, and Israel needs to support him.

From the looks of things, the IDF seems to have the upper hand in this fight. This is the only way to read Netanyahu’s announcement Wednesday night that he is barring government ministers and members of Knesset from visiting the Temple Mount until further notice. Netanyahu’s move is nothing less than a signal that he accepts Abbas’s premise that there is something wrong with Jews exercising their right to visit Judaism’s holiest site.

The generals’ rationale for defending Abbas is fairly straightforward. Throughout the current Palestinian terror onslaught they have continued to cooperate with Abbas-controlled Palestinian security forces in Judea and Samaria.

These forces cooperate with the IDF in seeking out and arresting terrorists from Hamas and other groups that are not subordinate to Abbas. The fact that Abbas has ordered his men to work with the IDF has convinced the generals that he is a positive actor. So as they see it, he must be protected.

In their view, Israel must limit its counterterrorism operations to tactical operations against trigger pullers and their immediate commanders and ignore the overarching cause of the violence.

In behaving in this manner, our security brass is being willfully blind to the fact that Abbas is playing a double game. On the one hand, he orders his forces to be nice to IDF officers in Central Command when they fight terrorist cells from Hamas and other groups not loyal to Abbas, and so wins their appreciation.

But on the other hand, Abbas works with those same terrorist forces, incites them to attack, and rewards them for doing so.

Perhaps the most outrageous aspect of the IDF’s insistence that Abbas is critical to its counterterrorism efforts is that the IDF’s own data demonstrate that Abbas has played an insignificant role in quelling terrorist attacks against Israel.

As Jerusalem Post columnist Evelyn Gordon showed in an article in Commentary this week, according to official data, from 2002 when Palestinian terrorist activities in the areas were at their peak until 2007, when Israel began transferring security control over some Palestinian cities to Abbas’s forces, levels of terrorism went down 97 percent. Even after Israel began permitting Abbas to deploy his security forces to Nablus and Jenin, the IDF has continued to operate at will in these areas, often on a nightly basis.

As Gordon noted, the only place Abbas has exercised sole security control was in Gaza. From September 2005, when Israel removed its military forces from Gaza until Hamas expelled Fatah forces from the areas in June 2007, Abbas’s forces had full control over Gaza. During this time, his forces did nothing to prevent Hamas – and Fatah forces – from attacking Israel with thousands of mortars and rockets. His forces did nothing to prevent the massive transfer of advanced weaponry to Gaza from Egypt and Iran.

True, since his forces were routed in Gaza, Abbas has ordered them to work with the IDF in Judea and Samaria to prevent Hamas from overthrowing him. But at the same time, he continuously seeks to form a unity government with Hamas.

He funds Hamas. He glorifies its terrorists. And he refuses to condemn their attacks against Israel.

Moreover, while ordering his men to help the IDF to protect him from Hamas, he leads the diplomatic war against Israel internationally. The goals of that war are to harm Israel’s economy and deny Israel the right to self-defense.

Our political leadership’s reluctance to stand up to the army is understandable. It is nearly impossible to order the IDF to take action it opposes.

At some point though, the government is going to rein in our insubordinate generals. Fortunately, the government doesn’t need the IDF to deal with Abbas and destroy his capacity to foment and direct attacks against Israel.

Our elected officials have the authority to go after the twin foundations Abbas’s terrorist offensive on their own. Those foundations are the incitement and the financial incentives he uses to motivate Palestinians to attack Jews.

On the financial end, the Knesset should pass two laws to dry up the wells of terrorism financing.

First, the Knesset should pass a law stipulating that all property belonging to terrorists, and all property used by terrorists to plan and carry out attacks, will be seized by the government and transferred to the victims of their attacks.

Moreover, all compensation paid to terrorists and their relatives pursuant to their attacks will be seized by the government and transferred to their victims.

The second law would relate to Israel’s practice – anchored in the Oslo Accords that Abbas revoked last month at the UN – of transferring tax revenues to the PA. The Knesset should pass a law prohibiting those transfers unless the Defense Minister certifies that the PA has ceased all terrorism- related activities including incitement, organization, financing, directing and glorifying terrorist attacks and terrorists.

Until he so certifies, all revenues collected should be used to pay PA debts to Israeli institutions and to compensate victims of Palestinian terrorism.

As for the incitement, the government needs to go to the source of the problem – Abbas’s blood libel regarding Jewish rights to the Temple Mount.

As things stand, Abbas is exacting a price in human lives for his obscene anti-Jewish propaganda about our “filthy feet defiling” the most sacred site in Judaism. By barring elected officials from visiting the Temple Mount, not only is the government failing to exact a price for Abbas’ obscene propaganda. It is rewarding him and so inviting Abbas to expand his rhetorical offensive.

To remedy the situation an opposite approach is required. Rather than bar elected officials from visiting the Temple Mount, Netanyahu should encourage them to do so. Just as he sent a letter to Jordan’s King Abdullah telling him that Israel is preserving the status quo on the Temple Mount, so he should write a similar letter to our lawmakers.

In his letter, Netanyahu should say that in keeping with the status quo, which protects the rights of members of all religions to freely enter the Temple Mount, so he commits the government to protect the rights of all believers of all religions to ascend the Mount.

The Palestinian terrorist onslaught now raging against us is not spontaneous. Abbas has incited it and is directing it. To stop this assault, Israel must finally take action against Abbas and his machinery of war. Anything less can bring us nothing more than a temporary respite in the carnage that Abbas will be free to end whenever he wishes.

About Caroline B. Glick

I grew up in Chicago’s ultra-liberal Hyde Park neighborhood. Hyde Park’s most famous resident is Barack Obama.

I made aliyah to Israel in 1991, two weeks after receiving my BA in Political Science from another radical liberal stronghold — Columbia University in New York, otherwise known as Beir Zeit on the Hudson.

I joined the Israel Defense Forces that summer and served as an officer for five and a half years.

From 1994-1996, as an IDF captain, I served as Coordinator of Negotiations with the PLO in the office of the Coordinator of Government Activities in Judea, Samaria and Gaza. In this capacity I was a core member of Israel’s negotiating team with the Palestinians.

In 1997 and 1998 I served as assistant foreign policy advisor Binyamin Neta[n]yahu during his first stint as Prime Minister.

From 1998-2000 I returned to the US for graduate school. I received a Master’s in Public Policy from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government. Although I spent most of my free time hiking in New England, it did not escape my attention that much of the faculty at the Kennedy School was not particularly fond of America, (Alinsky’s organizing methods were taught in a required first year course for MPP candidates) — or of Israel.

The latter truth was exposed for all the world to see when my former professor Steve Walt co-wrote the updated version of the Protocols of the Elders of Zion with his friend from my childhood hometown – University of Chicago’s John Mearshimer.

Before the beginning of the 20th century, there were practically no Arabs in the Holy Land. In 1695 there was not a single Muslim Arab in Gaza, Nazareth, and Um-El-Phachem. All Arabs there were Christians. Historically, a “Palestinian” people never existed. The English name “Palestinian”, to describe the local Arab population, was invented AFTER the establishment of the State of Israel in 1948. These Arabs do not even have a native name to describe themselves in their own Arabic language. The Arabs who now claim to be natives of the Holy Land have migrated to Palestine and invaded the land after 1917, from neighboring Arab countries. There is only one possible solution to the “Palestinians” desire for a homeland – let them return to where they came from – to where they lived earlier for hundreds or thousands of years – to their real homeland in their original Arab countries.

The Land of Israel – History Time Line  http://hm-holyland.blogspot.com/2011/12/land-of-israel-history-time-line.html

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Unknown to most of the world population, the origin of the “Palestinian” Arabs’ claim to the Holy Land spans a period of a meager 30 years – a drop in the bucket compared to the thousands of years of the region’s rich history.
Before the beginning of the 20th century, there were practically no Muslim Arabs in the Holy Land. In 1695 there was not a single Muslim Arab in Gaza, Nazareth, and Um-El-Phachem. All Arabs there were Christians. By contrast, the Jews, despite 2000 years of persecution and forced conversions by various conquerors, have throughout most of history been the majority population in the Holy Land. In Jerusalem Jews were always the largest demographic group [1][2], except for periods when conquerors specifically threw them out and prevented them from returning.
When General Allenby, the commander of the British military forces, conquered Palestine in 1917/1918, only a few thousand Muslim Arabs resided in the Holy Land. Most of the Arabs were Christians, and most of the Muslims in the area either came from Turkey under the Ottoman Empire, or were the descendants of Jews and Christians who were forcefully converted to Islam by the Muslim conquerors. These Muslims were not of Arab origin. Most references to Arabs in Palestine before 1917 refer to the Christian Arabs, not to the Muslims.
It is important to note that estimates and censuses conducted by the Muslim conquerors were biased. Therefore, the only reliable data is provided by non-Muslim sources. Tourists and politicians, Arabs and non-Arabs alike, have documented their observations of the population in the Holy Land beginning more than a thousand years ago. Let’s start at the early days and continue into the Ottoman period:
· The historian James Parkes wrote: “During the first century after the Arab conquest [640-740 CE], the caliph and governors of Syria and the Holy Land ruled entirely over Christian and Jewish subjects. Apart from the Bedouin in the earliest days, the only Arabs west of the Jordan were the garrisons.”[3]
· In year 985 the Arab writer Muqaddasi complained: “the mosque is empty of worshipers… The Jews constitute the majority of Jerusalem’s population” (The entire city of Jerusalem had only one mosque?). [4]
· In 1377, Ibn Khaldun, one of the most creditable Arab historians, wrote: “Jewish sovereignty in the Land of Israel extended over 1400 years… It was the Jews who implanted the culture and customs of the permanent settlement”.[5]
· In 1695-1696, the Dutch scholar and cartographer, Adriaan Reland (Hadriani Relandi), wrote reports about visits to the Holy Land. (There are those who claim that he did not personally visit the Holy land but collected reports from other visitors.) He was fluent in Hebrew and Arabic. He documented visits to many locations. He writes: The names of settlements were mostly Hebrew, some Greek, and some Latin-Roman. No settlement had an original Muslim-Arab name with a historical root in its location. Most of the land was empty, desolate, and the inhabitants few in number and mostly concentrated in Jerusalem, Acco, Tzfat, Jaffa, Tiberius and Gaza. Most of the inhabitants were Jews and the rest Christians. There were few Muslims, mostly nomad Bedouins. The Arabs were predominantly Christians with a tiny minority of Muslims. In Jerusalem there were approximately 5000 people, mostly Jews and some Christians. In Nazareth there were approximately 700 people – all Christians. In Gaza there were approximately 550 people – half of them Jews and half Christians. Um-El-Phachem was a village of 10 families – all Christians. The only exception was Nablus with 120 Muslims from the Natsha family and approximately 70 Shomronites.[6]
· In 1835 Alphonse de Lamartine wrote: “Outside the city of Jerusalem, we saw no living object, heard no living sound … a complete eternal silence reigns in the town, in the highways, in the country.”[7]
· In 1844, William Thackeray writes about the road from Jaffa to Jerusalem: “Now the district is quite deserted, and you ride among what seem to be so many petrified waterfalls. We saw no animals moving among the stony brakes; scarcely even a dozen little birds in the whole course of the ride.”[8]
· In 1857, the British consul in Palestine, James Finn, reported: “The country is in a considerable degree empty of inhabitants and therefore its greatest need is that of a body of population.”[9]
· In 1866, W.M. Thomson writes: “How melancholy is this utter desolation. Not a house, not a trace of inhabitants, not even shepherds, to relieve the dull monotony … Much of the country through which we have been rambling for a week appears never to have been inhabited, or even cultivated; and there are other parts, you say, still more barren.”[10]
· In 1867, Charles Wyllys Elliott, president of Harvard University, wrote: “A beautiful sea lies unbosomed among the Galilean hills, in the midst of that land once possessed by Zebulon and Naphtali, Asher and Dan … Life here was once idyllic, charming … It was a world of ease, simplicity, and beauty; now it is a scene of desolation and misery.”[11]
· In 1867, Mark Twain – Samuel Clemens, the famous author of “Huckleberry Finn” and “Tom Sawyer”, toured the Holy Land. This is how he described the land: “There is not a solitary village throughout its whole extent – not for thirty miles in either direction. There are two or three small clusters of Bedouin tents, but not a single permanent habitation. One may ride ten miles, hereabouts, and not see ten human beings. … No man can stand here by deserted Ain Mellahah and say the prophecy [“and your land shall be desolate and your cities waste”] has not been fulfilled … We had left Capernaum behind us. It was only a shapeless ruin. It bore no semblance to a town, and had nothing about it to suggest that it had ever been a town … These unpeopled deserts, these rusty mounds of barrenness… A desolate country whose soil is rich enough but is given over wholly to weeds. A silent, mournful expanse… the country is infested with fierce Bedouins, whose sole happiness it is, in this life, to cut and stab and mangle and murder unoffending Christians. Allah be with us! … A desolation is here that not even imagination can grace with the pomp of life and action. We reached Tabor safely. We never saw a human being on the whole route … After a while we came to a shapeless mass of ruins, which still bears the name of Bethel. There was hardly a tree or a shrub anywhere. Even the olive and the cactus, those fast friends of a worthless soil, had almost deserted the country… No landscape exists that is more tiresome to the eye than that which bounds the approaches to Jerusalem…. we were marching down a close, flaming, rugged, desolate defile, where no living creature could enjoy life, except, perhaps, a salamander. It was such a dreary, repulsive, horrible solitude! … Ancient Jericho is not very picturesque as a ruin… The journey to the Dead Sea, the Jordan and Bethlehem was short, but it was an exhausting one. Such roasting heat, such oppressive solitude, and such dismal desolation cannot surely exist elsewhere on earth… Of all the lands there are for dismal scenery, I think Palestine must be the prince….It is a hopeless, dreary, heart-broken land… I would like much to see the fringes of the Jordan in spring-time, and Shechem, Esdraelon, Ajalon and the borders of Galilee–but even then these spots would seem mere toy gardens set at wide intervals in the waste of a limitless desolation. Palestine sits in sackcloth and ashes. … one finds only a squalid camp of fantastic Bedouins of the desert… Nazareth is forlorn… Jericho the accursed, lies a moldering ruin, … Bethlehem and Bethany, in their poverty and their humiliation, … is untenanted by any living creature… Renowned Jerusalem itself, the stateliest name in history, has lost all its ancient grandeur, and is become a pauper village… The noted Sea of Galilee … was long ago deserted … Capernaum is a shapeless ruin; Magdala is the home of beggared Arabs; Bethsaida and Chorazin have vanished from the earth… a solitude that is inhabited only by birds of prey and skulking foxes. Palestine is desolate and unlovely.”[12]
· In 1874, Reverend Samuel Manning wrote: “But where were the inhabitants? This fertile plain, which might support an immense population, is almost a solitude…. Day by day we were to learn afresh the lesson now forced upon us, that the denunciations of ancient prophecy have been fulfilled to the very letter — “the land is left void and desolate and without inhabitants.” (Jeremiah, ch.44 v.22)[13]
· In 1881, the British cartographer Arthur Penrhyn Stanley wrote: “In Judea it is hardly an exaggeration to say that for miles and miles there was no appearance of life or habitation.”
· In 1892, B. W. Johnson writes: “In the portion of the plain between Mount Carmel and Jaffa one sees but rarely a village or other sights of human life… A ride of half an hour more brought us to the ruins of the ancient city of Cæsarea, once a city of two hundred thousand inhabitants, and the Roman capital of Palestine, but now entirely deserted… I laid upon my couch at night, to listen to the moaning of the waves and to think of the desolation around us.”[14]
· In 1913, a British report, by the Palestinian Royal Commission, quotes an account of the conditions on the coastal plain along the Mediterranean Sea: “The road leading from Gaza to the north was only a summer track, suitable for transport by camels or carts. No orange groves, orchards or vineyards were to be seen until one reached the [Jewish] Yabna village. Houses were mud. Schools did not exist. The western part toward the sea was almost a desert. The villages in this area were few and thinly populated. Many villages were deserted by their inhabitants.”
As we can see, throughout history, as documented by Arab historians and by foreign observers before 1917, the land was desolate; there were practically no Muslim Arabs in the cities outside of Jerusalem (except 120 Muslims in Nablus); and the number of Muslim Arabs (other than Ottoman Muslims or Christian Arabs) was minuscule, most of them nomadic Bedouins. In 1695 there was not a single Muslim Arab in Gaza, Nazareth, and Um-El-Phachem. All Arabs there were Christians. The difference between these multiple authentic accounts and the falsified Muslim-Arab propaganda is huge, almost beyond imagination.
Mark Twain’s description of the Holy Land has been the target of severe Muslim criticism. However, earlier and later visitors to the Holy Land all give the same description of desolation, misery, and lack of inhabitants, thus confirming Mark Twain’s observations.
Neville Chamberlain, in a speech given at the Alexandra Theatre, Birmingham, 13 Oct. 1918, said: “A great responsibility will rest upon the Zionists, who before long will be proceeding with joy in their hearts to the ancient seat of their people. Theirs will be the task to build up a new prosperity and a new civilization in old Palestine, so long neglected and misruled. They will carry with them the hearty goodwill of the British nation and its earnest hope that in their own country they may prove worthy of their past and of the great opportunity that has been given to them.”
When the Holy Land was taken from the Ottomans by the British, it was no longer under Muslim control. The Quran commands Muslims to take land away from non-Muslims, including land which they have never trodden on before[15]. Following the British conquest of the Holy land, the Muslim Arabs embarked on a massive immigration into the Holy Land, fulfilling their religious obligation to capture as much foreign land as possible. The following accounts describe the massive Arab immigration after 1918:
· In 1930/31, Lewis French, the British Director of Development wrote about the Arabs in Palestine: “We found it inhabited by fellahin (Arab farmers) who lived in mud hovels and suffered severely from the prevalent malaria… Large areas were uncultivated… The fellahin, if not themselves cattle thieves, were always ready to harbor these and other criminals. The individual plots changed hands annually. There was little public security, and the fellahin’s lot was an alternation of pillage and blackmail by their neighbors, the bedouin (Arab nomads).”
· The British Hope-Simpson Commission recommended, in 1930, “Prevention of illicit immigration” to stop the illegal Arab immigration from neighboring Arab countries.[16]
· The British Governor of the Sinai (1922-36) reported in the Palestine Royal Commission Report: “This illegal immigration was not only going on from the Sinai, but also from Transjordan and Syria.”
· The governor of the Syrian district of Hauran, Tewfik Bey El Hurani, admitted in 1934 that in a single period of only a few months over 30,000 Syrians from Houran had moved to Palestine.
· British Prime Minister Winston Churchill noted the Arab influx. Churchill, a veteran of the early years of the British mandate in the Holy Land, noted in 1939 that “far from being persecuted, the Arabs have crowded into the country and multiplied till their population has increased more than even all world Jewry could lift up the Jewish population.
The Arab population in the Holy Land increased only because of their massive immigration from neighboring Arab countries. Before 1918, when the Arab immigration started, only a minuscule number of Muslim Arabs lived in the Holy Land, practically all of them in Jerusalem. This is why it is so difficult to find an old-age Muslim-Arab whose grandparents were born in the Holy Land.
Muslim-Arab population [1][2] and growth in Jerusalem before and after 1918. The break point between the two straight lines shows the exact point in time when the massive Arab immigration into the Holy Land started.
While the Holy Land was ruled by the Muslim Ottomans, despite large waves of Jewish Zionist immigration, there were practically no conflicts between the Jews and the few local Arabs. Jews and local Arabs lived peacefully together. This peaceful co-existence ended after 1918, when the large waves of foreign Muslim-Arab immigration started, following the British conquest. Up until 1948 the British restricted Jewish immigration and encouraged Muslim-Arab immigration. It is the landless foreign Muslim-Arabs who immigrated after 1918 that started the conflict, NOT the zionistic Jewish immigration between 1881-1914, which was a peaceful period. For example, in 1929, the Hebron Massacre of the local Jews was done by foreign Arabs, not by the established local families who lived there and even tried to defend the Jews.
The Quran explicitly encourages lying and deception if it helps Muslims achieve a desired goal [17][18][19][20]. To deny the massive invasion of the Holy Land by foreign Muslims, the falsified Muslim-Arab propaganda claims that it is a myth. If it is indeed a myth, how can anyone explain the following simple observations?
· The grandparents of the author’s wife were born in the Holy Land in the 19th century. They saw with their own eyes how empty the land was at the time. They also lived through and experienced first-hand the British conquest and the Arab’s massive invasion of the land that started in 1918. This invasion lasted for only 30 years, and ended in 1948 with the evacuation of the British from the land and the declaration of the state of Israel.
· One of the readers of an earlier version of this article sent the author a similar description by his grandfather. His grandfather was one of the founders of Petach Tikvah (in 1878). The grandfather described to his children and grandchildren how empty and desolate the land used to be. Arabs started immigrating to the Holy Land with the hope of finding employment in the new Jewish villages.
· The family names of many Arabs who now occupy the Holy Land reveal their country of origin: Masri (from Egypt), Iraqi (from Iraq), Tarabulsi (from Tarabulus-Tripoli in Lebanon), Hourani (from Houran in Syria), Husseini (from Jordan), and Saudi (from Saudi Arabia).
· Following the publication of an earlier version of this article, the author received an email message from a reader who used to work with Arabs in Gaza and in various villages in the West Bank in the 1970’s. In his email the reader describes friendly discussions about family history with his Arab co-workers. Most of the co-workers had grandfathers who immigrated to the Holy Land from neighboring countries.
When Churchill said that “the Arabs have crowded into the country and multiplied till their population has increased more than even all world Jewry could lift up the Jewish population.” was he lying? Churchill was not a Muslim…
The name “Palestina” is a Latin-Roman name based on the Hebrew Biblical name of the ancient “Philistines” — “Plishtim” in Hebrew. The translation of this name to English is: “invaders”. The Philistines arrived from the Mediterranean islands near Greece and invaded the land about 4000 years ago. The Philistines are extinct since approximately 2000 years ago, and have no ancestral or historical relationship to Arabs. Before 1917, during the 400-years rule of the Ottoman Empire, the Ottomans did not call the Holy Land … “Palestina”. The British decided to renew this ancient name and officially called the land “Palestine”.
The term “Palestinian” was used in reference to Jews not to Arabs. The “Anglo-Palestine Bank” founded in 1902/3 was a Jewish bank which later became “Bank Leumi”. The “Palestinian Post” founded in 1932 was a Jewish paper that later became the “Jerusalem Post”.
The local Arabs never called themselves “Palestinians”, not even during the British mandate. Both Arab and British leaders referred to them only as “Arabs”. For example: The Hope-Simpson report[16] published by the British in 1930, contains the phrase “the number of Palestinian unemployed, whether Arab, Jew or other…”. “Palestinian” was used only as an adjective in reference to the location and also included Jews. The Arab inhabitants were always referred to as “Arabs”. The word “palestinians” does not appear anywhere in this report. “Palestinian Arabs”, “Palestinian Jews”, and “Palestinian Christians” were common terms. But, “Palestinians”, as a noun, before 1948, was not yet invented.
After 30 years of invasion, following the end of the British mandate and the declaration of the state of Israel in 1948, the Arabs recognized the fact that they invaded foreign land and invented for themselves a name in English — “Palestinians”. If the British were to call the land “New England”, and the local Arabs were to call themselves “English” would they automatically become English? It is important to emphasize that the concept of a “Palestinian” to describe the local Arab residents was invented by the Arabs AFTER the declaration of the state of Israel. This group of Arabs, who started calling themselves “the Palestinian nation” after 1948, does not have an original name in their native Arabic language.
Is there any nation in the world which does not have a name in its original native language? The Arabs who invaded the Holy Land do not have a name in their native Arabic language because they are not, and have never been, a unified group or a nation. Most of those Arabs cannot even pronounce the word “Palestinian”. They pronounce it “Falestinian”.
Historically, a “Falestinian” people never existed. The fact is that the Arabs, who now try to call themselves by the English name “Palestinians” and mis-pronounce it “Falestinians”, don’t even know what their name is in Arabic. Even Arab leaders and historians have admitted that a “Palestinian” people never existed. For example:
· In 1937, the Arab leader Auni Bey Abdul Hadi told the Peel Commission: “There is no such country as Palestine. Palestine is a term the Zionists invented. Palestine is alien to us.”
· In 1946, Princeton’s Arab professor of Middle East history, Philip Hitti, told the Anglo-American Committee of Inquiry: “It’s common knowledge, there is no such thing as Palestine in history.
· In March 1977, Zahir Muhsein, an executive member of the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO), said in an interview to the Dutch newspaper Trouw: “The ‘Palestinian people’ does not exist. The creation of a Palestinian state is only a means for continuing our struggle against the state of Israel.”
· Joseph Farah, an Arab-American journalist, writes: “The truth is that Palestine is no more real than Never-Never Land. Palestine has never existed as an autonomous entity.
· Walid Shoebat, a former PLO terrorist acknowledged the lie he was fighting for: “Why is it that on June 4th 1967 I was a Jordanian and overnight I became a Palestinian? … we considered ourselves Jordanian until the Jews returned to Jerusalem. Then all of the sudden we were Palestinians. They removed the star from the Jordanian flag and all at once we had a Palestinian flag.”
· The Syrian dictator Hafez Assad said: “There is no such thing as a Palestinian people, there is no Palestinian entity“.
· Dr. Azmi Bishara, a notable leader of the Arabs in Israel, who fought against the Israeli “occupation”, said in a TV interview[21]: “There is no Palestinian nation. It’s a colonial invention. When were there any Palestinians?” To see a clip of the interview click here.
The Arabs who now claim to be natives of the Holy Land have migrated to Palestine and invaded the land after 1917, from neighboring Arab countries, predominantly from areas now known as Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and Iraq. None of these countries existed as nations prior to 1913. They were nothing but a disorganized collection of tribes, constantly terrorizing each other, trying to seize land from their neighbors. Unfortunately, those Arab invaders, imported into the Holy Land their age-old “culture” of terrorizing neighbors to seize land. Many of them were social outcasts and criminals who could not find jobs in their own countries so they searched for their luck elsewhere. Some of them were accepted by the British regime as a source of cheap labor and were allowed to settle on unoccupied Jewish land. Even Yassir Arafat, the leader of the PLO, is not a native of the Holy Land. He called himself a “Palestinian refugee” but spoke Arabic with an Egyptian dialect. He was born in 1929 in Cairo, Egypt. He served in the Egyptian army, studied in the University of Cairo, and lived in Cairo until 1956. He then moved to Saudi-Arabia and founded the Al-Fatah terror organization, the precursor to the PLO, in Kuwait in 1958, together with his Saudi-Arabian friends. How exactly does that constitute a “Palestinian refugee”? Being born in 1929 in Cairo, he cannot even be considered a son of Palestinian refugees (there were no refugees in 1929). Arafat must have been a good student of Muhammad, the founder of the Muslim religion, who said in the Quran: “War is deception”.[17]
In their propaganda, the Arabs who now call themselves “Palestinians” consistently demand that Israel and the world recognize their “pre-1948” rights. That’s about 60 years ago. Mysteriously, they are never willing to add another 60 years to their “historical” claims on the Holy Land. They know very well that doing so will send them back to where they came from – Jordan, Syria, Egypt, Lebanon, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and Iraq. Years ago, during negotiations with the, so-called, “Palestinians”, an Israeli negotiator proposed to revise a mention of their claim of “pre-1948” rights and replace it with “pre-1917”. The “Palestinians” vehemently opposed. Now we know why.
If there is anyone who still believes that a “Palestinian” nation ever existed before the end of the British mandate and the founding of the state of Israel, would they please be kind enough to answer when was it founded and by whom? What was its name in Arabic (not in Latin-English)? What was its form of government? What were its borders? Name one top “Palestinian” leader before Arafat? Which country ever recognized its existence and when? In which library or museum can we find any of its literature, coins, or historical artifacts? The answer to all these questions is “nil”. As stated by Zahir Muhsein: “The ‘Palestinian’ people does not exist.”
Some Arabs consider themselves the descendants of Abraham, the forefather of the Jewish nation. Ironically, if not for Muhammad’s study of the Bible, the Arabs would not have known of the existence of Abraham. Muhammad invented the Muslim religion in the 7th century AD, in Saudi Arabia. He studied the Bible in order to be better equipped in his attempts to persuade the Jews to follow his newly invented religion. When the Jews refused, he dictated the stories of the Quran (the Muslim bible) to his students, and filled it with his own imaginary accounts of Biblical events. (Muhammad himself did not know how to read or write.) He even took the liberty to change the God-given day of rest, Saturday – the Sabbath. Since Sunday was already taken by the Christians, he picked Friday as the next-best Muslim day of rest.
Muhammad never visited Jerusalem and the Holy Land, and did not consider them important enough to mention their name in the Quran even once. By comparison, Mecca and Medina, the only two Muslim holy cities, are mentioned in the Quran hundreds of times. Even though the name of the Holy Land is not mentioned in the Quran, the Quran refers to the Holy Land many times as the land of the children of Israel.[22] [23] [24][25].
The Jewish Holy Temple stood on Temple Mount long before the Muslim religion, or any other current world religion was conceived. Even when the founders of the Christian religion walked around in the streets of ancient Jerusalem there were no mosques nor churches there – only the Jewish Holy Temple and nothing else. The land of the Jewish Holy Temple in Jerusalem was purchased by King David, for the Jewish people, approximately 850 years BCE. The deed, the name of the previous owner, and the purchase price were recorded in the Bible (See Samuel-B Ch. 24 and Chronicles-A Ch. 21-22).
Today the Muslim “Palestinians” claim to own Temple Mount, the site of the Jewish Holy Temple in Jerusalem. They claim it is “their” holy site. Does anyone in the rest of the world know which way the Muslims in Jerusalem face when they pray? When the Muslims in Jerusalem pray in their mosques, even in the “Al Aktza” mosque built on the edge of Temple Mount, they face their holy city Mecca and stand with their back turned to Temple Mount. When they bow down in their prayers they show their behind to the location of the Holy Temple. How consistent is that with considering it a Muslim holy site?
Muslims praying on Temple Mount point their behinds to Temple Mount 2
The Muslims have long ago recognized that the Holy Temple is a Jewish holy site. Its name in Arabic is “Al Quds” – “The Holiness” in English, which is an abbreviation for “The House of Holiness” – The Jewish Holy Temple. The fact is that Jerusalem is not important enough to the Muslims to be mentioned even once in the Quran, while Mecca and Medina, the only two Muslim holy cities, are mentioned hundreds of times. Even when the Jordanians occupied Jerusalem, up until 1967, they never considered it their capital, and Arab leaders did not come to visit.
Can any Muslim in the world produce any credible evidence for their connection to this holy site, other than in Muhammad’s dream? Believe it or not, the one and only source for the Muslims’ claim to Jerusalem and the site of the Holy Temple, is a mention in the Quran of a dream that Muhammad had about an unknown “far distant place of worship (mosque)”[26]. This “far distant place of worship” could not have been in Jerusalem, because in Muhammad’s time there was no worship taking place at the site of the Holy Temple and there was not even a single mosque in Jerusalem. The first mosque in Jerusalem was built 83 years after Muhammad died. Perhaps this “far distant place of worship” is the site of the Vatican in Italy?
The best reference for understanding the Muslim-Arab mentality and politically-motivated falsification of history is Muhammad’s own advice to his followers: “War is deception”[17][18][19][20].
The real problem facing those Arabs today is not the lack of a homeland. The historical root-cause of their problem and frustration is the fact that the countries they came from have not agreed to accept them back in. This is why so many of them live, up until today, in refugee camps, in neighboring Arab countries, lacking fundamental civil rights. In their frustration they feel that the only hope and choice they have is to try and steal a country. Many of the vehicles and the agricultural equipment in the Palestinian Authority have been stolen from their Israeli neighbors. For a while, Israel suffered the highest rate of automobile thefts in the world! Most of these stolen vehicles were later found in towns and villages of the Palestinian Authority. If invading foreign land is so easy; if stealing vehicles is so easy; why not try and steal a country too?
There is only one possible solution to the “Palestinians” desire for a homeland. It is the only solution that will satisfy their claim of the right to return to their homeland. Since helping them return to where they lived for less than 30 years is their own definition of justice, then helping them return to where they lived earlier for hundreds or thousands of years is, by the same definition, a better justice. Let’s all help them get the better justice they deserve. Let’s help them return to where they came from – Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and Iraq.
Recent proposals have suggested a two-state solution to the Israeli-Arab conflict – one for the Jews and one for the Arabs. The map below shows that a much more generous solution already exists – 21 states – one for the Jews and twenty for the Arabs.
The 21-state solution proposal infuriated some Arabs. This is not the solution they wanted. They wanted negotiations leading to a compromise over how much of the Land of Israel they can get.
Imagine that, while you are away on vacation, your neighbor invades your home and settles there. When you come back, you ask him to leave. He says: “I entered an empty building. It is my home.” You say: “This is my home, get out of here.” To avoid escalating the situation, your neighbor proposes a compromise: “You get half the building and I get half the building.” How would you respond?
The Quran contains more than 100 verses commanding Muslims to fight a war against non-Muslims[27]. Some verses command Muslims to chop off heads and fingers and terrorize and kill non-Muslims[28]. Other verses command Muslims to take land away from non-Muslims[15]. Muslims are also prohibited from living in peace with non-Muslims on non-Muslim land[29]. Anyone who avoids fighting against non-Muslims is punished. Because of such religious commandments, there is no chance and no hope that Muslims will ever live peacefully together with non-Muslims who live on non-Muslim land. Temporary periods of calm are nothing but a waiting period – waiting in ambush – waiting for an opportunity to strike[30].
If you still have any doubts as to what is the real meaning of the word “Islam”, or as to what are the real intentions of Muslims worldwide, take a look at the following pictures of Muslims marching through the streets of London during a “Religion of Peace” Demonstration.
During the rise of Islam, Muhammad tried to convert the Jews of Medina to Islam. When they refused, he murdered them. The Muslims who conquered northern Africa during the 7th and 8th centuries, did the same. Only those who converted to Islam, or managed to hide, survived. Jews who refused to convert were massacred. In Morocco, in the 8th century, whole communities were wiped out by Muslim ruler Idris ibn Abdullah. Even as late as the 19th century, In Morocco, more than 300,000 Jews were murdered between 1864 and 1880 – their only offense being their refusal to convert to Islam.
History proves that a population exchange is the only possible solution, other than war, to conflicts between Muslims and non-Muslims. For example, in 1923, the war between Turkey and Greece ended only when both sides agreed to a population exchange of more than two million Muslims and Greek-Orthodox Christians. Similarly, in 1947, more than 14 million Muslims, Hindus, and Sikhs, have exchanged locations in India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh.
About 820,000 Jewish refugees have relocated out of the Arab countries; about 560,000 of them moved to Israel and 260,000 moved to other countries. The number of Jewish refugees who relocated out of Arab countries, is a little larger than the total number of Arabs who lived in the Holy Land in 1947. Between 472,000 and 650,000 Arabs, who invaded the Holy Land during the past 30 years, returned to their neighboring Arab countries, while 160,000 remained in the State of Israel after 1948 [31]. Now it is time to end the conflict between Jews and Muslims in Israel. The only possible peaceful solution is to complete the second half of this Jewish-Muslim population exchange by returning the remaining Muslims in the Holy Land back to the Arab-Muslim countries where they came from. As we can see in the map above, there is no shortage of space in the Arab-Muslim countries.
B) “The sedentary population of Jerusalem numbers about 15,500 souls, of whom 4,000 are Mussulmans (Muslims) and 8,000 Jews. The Mussulmans forming about a fourth part of the whole, and consisting of Turks, Arabs, and Moors…” (Karl Marks, new York Daily Tribune, 15 April 1854). C) Population estimate of 1868 in the Jerusalem Almanack: 9,000 Jews, 5,000 Muslims, 4,000 Christians. D) Population, Ottoman subjects 1905: 40,000 Jews, 10,900 Christian Arabs, and 8,000 Muslim Arabs. Total Population 58,900. By 1914 the Jewish population was 45,000. Then fight them and kill them wherever you find them, and take them captive, and besiege them, and ambush them.” (Quran 9:4-5). “they fight in His cause, and slay and are slain” (Quran 9:111). “Fight those of the disbelievers who are near to you” (Quran 9:123). “And fight with them until there is no more persecution and religion should be only for Allah” (Quran 8.39). “Fighting is prescribed for you” (Quran 2:216). “… slay the idolaters wherever you find them, and take them captives and besiege them and lie in wait for them in every ambush” (Quran 9:5). “Go forth, light-armed and heavy armed, and strive with your wealth and your lives in the way of Allah” (Quran 9:41). “So when you meet in battle those who disbelieve, then smite the necks until when you have overcome them, then make them prisoners” (Quran 47:4). “The Hour will not be established until you fight with the Jews, and the stone behind which a Jew will be hiding will say: O Muslim! There is a Jew hiding behind me, so kill him.” (Bukhari 52:256). “The Messenger of Allah said: I have been commanded to fight against people till they testify that there is no god but Allah, that Muhammad is the messenger of Allah.” (Muslim 1:33). “I have been ordered to fight the people till they say: ‘None has the right to be worshipped but Allah.” (Bukhari 8:387). “Kill any Jew who falls under your power.” (Tabari 7:97). “Fight everyone in the way of Allah and kill those who disbelieve in Allah.” (Ib…
29) “what is the matter with you, that, when you are asked to go forth in the cause of Allah, you cling heavily to the earth? … Unless you go forth, He will punish you with a grievous penalty, and put others in your place.” (Quran 9:38-39). “Those of the believers who sit still, other than those who are disabled, are not on an equality with those who strive in the way of Allah with their wealth and lives.” (Quran, 4:95). “whoever turns back (from the war against the non-believers), He will punish him with a painful punishment.” (Quran, 48:17).
30) “and lie in wait for them in every ambush” (Quran 9:5)
31) Many Arabs claim that 800,000 to 1,000,000 Palestinians became refugees in 1947/49. The last census was taken in 1945. It found only 756,000 permanent Arab residents in Israel. On November 30, 1947, the date the UN voted for partition, the total was 809,100. A 1949 Government of Israel census counted 160,000 Arabs living in the country after the war. This meant no more than 650,000 Palestinian Arabs could have become refugees. A report by the UN Mediator on Palestine arrived at an even lower figure — 472,000. http://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/jsource/History/refugees.html
32) There are only three possible ways to end this kind of a conflict: 1) peace; 2) war; and, 3) population exchange. There are those who believe that Israel needs to accept the presence of the Muslim Arabs who now reside in the Holy Land, just like other invaders and conquerors remain in many other countries. What this means is that the consequences of invasions and wars need to be accepted. Such legitimization of the consequences of war is, in effect, legitimization of war. If Israel is expected to accept the consequences of the Arabs’ presence, then the Arabs should also be expected to accept the consequences of the wars with Israel. As we have seen above, peace is not an option because it is prohibited by the Muslim religion. See more on the hopelessness of peace in the link below. Therefore, the only other options are either war and extermination of the enemy, or, population exchange. A population exchange is obviously the preferable choice. http://middleeastfacts.com/Articles/peace-or-piece-by-piece.php
