Human Efforts to Save Humanity – God’s Plan to Save Humanity

Enterprise - 100 YR Starship Warp Drive 2

I DVR-ed a National Geographic Documentary entitled “Evacuate Earth” and managed to finish watching yesterday. I believe the Documentary is about a year old being made in 2012. The scenario is: What will Earth’s human beings do if scientists detect a neutron star on a collision course to our little blue planet estimating its arrival to be about 80 years?

The reality is there a number of cosmic occurrences that might threaten life on planet earth. Some examples are the existence of large comets and asteroids, black hole formations, our Sun dying and probably other scenarios I can’t think of at the moment including a collision course with a neutron star. I found a concise description of a neutron star and its destructive force at Moon Project:

… Formed by the gravitational collapse of a massive star during a supernova, neutron stars are made almost entirely of neutrons and have a density 500,000 times greater than that of the Earth, all packed into a sphere with a diameter no larger than Brooklyn, New York. The density of such an object is roughly the equivalent of the entire human population crushed down to the size of a sugar cube! Like any star, neutron stars are moving against a backdrop of other cosmic objects and can be detected and tracked here on Earth, So what if we did detect one that was heading straight for us? Would there be anything we could do to divert or destroy it? The short answer?

No.

We can predict how long it will take to reach us and how close it will need to get for its effects to start to be felt but once we know those things, then what? Lets (sic) say we’ve found one that will reach us in 100 years, that means the countdown has begun and we need to start thinking about the logistics of moving 7 billion people from one planet to another. There wont (sic) be time to double-check and triple check that the conditions are perfect on a rocket that has never been designed before using current technology with people who don’t have the best reputation for getting on. Well, good luck to any one (sic) who thinks they can make that happen.

… (Taxi for Humanity: Where could we go and how would we get there when our time on Earth is up? By R. J. Morwood; Moon Project; 4/3/13 1:25 PM)

This is probably why National Geographic chose the neutron star scenario for their documentary. Such a collision with Earth would result in the utter destruction of the planet. There is only one possibility for the human race to continue to exist. Existence would depend on evacuating the Earth.

I was so fascinated by the NatGeo Documentary, it went through nearly 80 years of construction of this huge space ship built piece by piece by launching the parts in increments as they were made globally. They counted down to just before the neutron star obliterated the Earth. In the Documentary they showed it was possible to view the neutron star bringing Earth’s demise fracturing the planet into pieces in either disintegration or producing an outer space debris belt.

Imagine that drama from the space ship! The passengers are already aware that the Earth’s billions died horribly prior to the planet fragmentation. Add to that those billions of dead that undoubtedly included family and friends then they viewed the blue ball – their ancestral home – disappear into nothingness. That is a sad drama.

At the end of this post I will post the Youtube version of the entire Documentary of Evacuate Earth. But until some things caught my imagination. Principle of which is the selection process of the minimal minority to be saved dooming the majority billions to a death sentence of nature. The next thought was also very important to me because those thoughts deal with my faith as a Bible believing Christian. Let’s look at the sad near science fiction scenario of a neutron star causing a global effort to save enough of the human race to allow it to perpetuate – somewhere. Then I’ll touch on my Bible faith and a God-breathed scenario.

There are many of us bloggers that see nefarious happenings politically that points to a Left Wing conspiracy to control a New World Order and/or an Islamist Caliphate World Order by Islamic imperialists. I use the “and/or” because there might be a little disagreement about NWO scenario is preeminent or if the Leftists and Islamists are feeding off of each other to destroy the present global order and then the Leftists and Islamists going toe-to-toe on a bloody genocidal scale for victory.

So, what is the effect on these Conspiracy Theories if it is proven a neutron star is what will transform humanity rather than theological/political ideology? My guess is that Muslims devoted to the Quran will put their trust with their demon-deity (yeah I know Leftist Multiculturalists and Muslim Apologists are thinking bigotry rather than comprehending that Bible believers believe Christ is the ONLY WAY to God) Allah to show the neutron star will initiate the global Caliphate age against the kafir (aka infidel). My next guess is that secularist scientists aligned with Leftists will begin a plan build something and anything to allow selected human beings to get out of Dodge before the Earth’s High Noon.

The Muslims might have the money, but the scientific community will have the support of government money, natural resources and great minds used to teaming up for solutions. Not that Muslims don’t have great minds. After all AQ Khan developed nuclear weapons for Pakistan and has leaked nuke info to violent prone Muslim rogue nations. In this modern age most Muslim great minds living in Islamic dominated nations think more about Islamic theopolitical philosophy and weaponization. This is not exactly a team playing combination to save Earth’s brightest and fittest to begin survival and re-population of the human race on an Earth-like planet.

It is my opinion, all political correctness aside, it will be the Western nations, prominent scientists of Israel and Asians representing China, Japan, South Korea and India that will decide the survival of the human race. This leads to another conundrum. Those that select the people to be saved will likely be the scientific community, political powerhouses that are influential on government purse strings and the more intelligent of the rich and famous. There is one thing I can guarantee about such an elitist selection committee the common man that is the backbone of successful economies will not be selected.

This will leave seven or so billion people among divided national borders left to choose how they will deal with such a transition. You do realize the scenario at this point is a Leftist utopian’s dream concerning depopulation to save humanity. Instead of systematically euthanizing hundreds of millions of people to make feeding the people easier and to be easier on planet Earth’s ecosystem, simply leave billions of people behind to die at the hands of a neutron star.

Most people have a natural survival instinct even if they don’t resources. That is why a lot of bloggers believe if an economic collapse occurs followed political chaos in nation-states that every-man-for-himself rioting and violence will be the new lawless social structure. If political chaos predictors are accurate about an economic collapse scenario, just think how things could turn ugly when the global population realizes that there is an Evacuate Earth plan that does not include the general population. I suspect attempts to thwart government control will turn into civil strife, civil war or just downright revolution to change the power structure with no actual end-game in mind if there is success in revolting against current regimes.

The reality is that the political regimes in control will have the military power to suppress and/or contain revolutionary civil strife to territorial areas away from the construction from whence the components for a starship are being built then sent to outer space for assembly. I am willing to bet the power of united elites will hesitate to use armed extreme prejudice to protect the escape plan. Which brings me to another wondering thought. I wonder when the military rank and file will realize that most of them will not be boarding a completely assembled starship to escape death from a neutron star.

This is when a number of lower rank officers will organize against the ruling elites to achieve an inclusion impossibility. I say impossible because this not Noah’s Ark created by the supernatural hand of God. This is a large space Ark that will only so-much room to take what is need to survive an interstellar trip with the uncertain hope of finding a planet to colonize. Unless national military personnel are willing to make a sacrifice for the greater good, I have serious doubts an interstellar spaceship Ark will find completion. The result: the end and extinction of the human race with nothing left to indicate intelligent life existed in portion of the unfathomable cosmos.

And yet with all the scenario guessing the U.S. via the route of government agencies are spending money to develop technology for interstellar travel. America’s most famous super-secret agency – Defense Advanced Research Project Agency (DARPA) – has been working with NASA in a 100 year program to study and implement space travel.

We exist to make the capability of human travel beyond our solar system a reality within the next 100 years. We unreservedly dedicate ourselves to identifying and pushing the radical leaps in knowledge and technology needed to achieve interstellar flight, while pioneering and transforming breakthrough applications that enhance the quality of life for all on Earth. We actively seek to include the broadest swath of people and human experience in understanding, shaping and implementing this global aspiration.

When we explore space, we garner the greatest benefits here at home. The challenge of traveling to another star system could generate transformative activities, knowledge, and technologies that would dramatically benefit every nation on Earth in the near term and years to come.

Travel to the stars will require: the development of revolutionary non-chemical technologies to generate, harness, control and store enormous quantities of energy safely; radical advancements in closed-loop life-support systems and sustainable habitats; new insights into human development, health, behavior and training; quantum leaps in agriculture, communication and handling massive data sets; advances in robotics, automation, intelligent systems, and manufacturing techniques; as well as deeper, robust understanding and innovative approaches to social structures, education, economics and finance, legal frameworks, politics and international collaboration. The BBC has an article about DARPA’s 100 Year Starship program and a principle formulator of the program Dr. Jack Sarfatti:

Stellar pipedream?

But the 100YSS is not a fringe activity started by a bunch of dreamers. It has the backing of two high-profile US agencies – the space agency Nasa and the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (Darpa), the US military agency that helped create the internet and satellite-based navigation. Darpa has a track record for these kinds of seemingly impossible technologies: in recent years it has sponsored attempts to develop a hypersonic aircraft and driverless cars.

But even those might pale next to the goal of sending a manned spaceship to the stars. And the agency’s willingness to embrace unconventional ideas and people – like Sarfatti – means the project divides opinion. For its backers it is a visionary blueprint for interstellar travel. For the naysayers, it is a crackpot idea with no hope of even getting off the ground.

For those who might consider a starship something of a pipedream, David Neyland, the head of the Darpa office in charge of the 100YSS, points to the agency’s ability to spur innovation in unexpected areas, an ability that has proven critical to its success. The iPhone in your pocket is powered by cellular radio technology that came out of communications research Darpa did back in the 70s and 80s,” says Neyland. “So it is that unintended consequence of technology research that we are hoping to inspire.” READ ENTIRETY (100 Year Starship: An interstellar leap for mankind? By Sharon Weinberger; BBC – FUTURE; 3/22/12)

Although scenario of Earth’s destruction by NatGeo will probably not happen with a pleasant end for humanity, the NatGeo prediction of interstellar travel is actually plausible bringing science fiction into the realm of science fact. This Dr. Sarfatti is actually exploring physics concepts of a Star Trek-like warp drive, once believed outside the realm of reality by serious physicist theorists. The 100 Year Starship project even has the first female astronaut in spaceMae Jemison Wikipedia/NASA heading the project – Mae Jemison. There is another reason that I believe the NatGeo Evacuate Earth scenario will not occur.

Here’s the thing. I have faith in the God of the Holy Bible. God’s plan is to save all humanity from the fate of Satan to be contained to the Lake of Fire in Hell for eternity. The difference between the Bible and Quran is that the Bible gives humanity opportunity after opportunity to make a free choice to be Redeemed by the Redemptive act of Jesus Christ on the Cross and the Lord’s bodily Resurrection from the dead as the glorified fully human and fully God. Allah’s plan is to send some supernatural being along with a fake Christ to militarily force humanity in the present to time to convert to Islam or die.

The God of the Bible plan is that God Himself as the Second Person of the Trinity will lead both Angelic armies and the armies of the Believers in Christ to defeat the nations following the human Anti-Christ, the human False Prophet and the Beast under the direction of Satan. Even in defeat the nations will have a chance to call Jesus Lord and in the thousand year reign of Christ. At the end of the Thousand Years humanity will have its last chance to be with God or be with Satan just released from Hell’s chains to tempt humanity one last time. After which all Fallen Angels, all Satan loving humans and Satan will be sentenced to the Lake of Fire after the Last Judgment. (Read Revelation 20)

Is there a threat to the existence of the Earth Biblically? The answer is ‘yes.’ It is a ‘yes’ even though humanity survives the Earth’s destruction. New Heaven - New Earth

All Things Made New

21 Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea. 2 Then I, John,[a] saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. 4 And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”

5 Then He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” And He said to me,[b] “Write, for these words are true and faithful.”

6 And He said to me, “It is done![c] I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts. 7 He who overcomes shall inherit all things,[d] and I will be his God and he shall be My son. 8 But the cowardly, unbelieving,[e]abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”

The New JerusalemNew Jerusalem - Pat Wagner

9 Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls filled with the seven last plagues came to me[f] and talked with me, saying, “Come, I will show you the bride, the Lamb’s wife.”[g] 10 And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the great city, the holy[h]Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, 11 having the glory of God. Her light was like a most precious stone, like a jasper stone, clear as crystal.

21 The twelve gates were twelve pearls: each individual gate was of one pearl. And the street of the city was pure gold, like transparent glass.

The Glory of the New Jerusalem

22 But I saw no temple in it, for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. 23 The city had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine in it,[a] for the glory[b] of God illuminated it. The Lamb is its light. 24 And the nations of those who are saved[c] shall walk in its light, and the kings of the earth bring their glory and honor into it.[d] 25 Its gates shall not be shut at all by day (there shall be no night there). 26 And they shall bring the glory and the honor of the nations into it.[e] 27 But there shall by no means enter it anything that defiles, or causes[f] an abomination or a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life. (Revelation 21: 1-11; 21-27 NKJV)

And just as an addendum to all those that do not believe Jesus Christ – fully man and fully God simultaneously – is the Son of God that Resurrected after He was Crucified by sinful men to save ALL sinful men who choose life in Christ Jesus the Deliverer and Savior by believing the Good News rather than the lying influence of Satan.King Jesus Holding Hour Glass Measuring Time Left

The Time Is Near

6 Then he said to me, “These words are faithful and true.” And the Lord God of the holy[a] prophets sent His angel to show His servants the things which must shortly take place.

7 “Behold, I am coming quickly! Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book.”

8 Now I, John, saw and heard[b] these things. And when I heard and saw, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel who showed me these things.

9 Then he said to me, “See that you do not do that. For[c] I am your fellow servant, and of your brethren the prophets, and of those who keep the words of this book. Worship God.” 10 And he said to me, “Do not seal the words of the prophecy of this book, for the time is at hand. 11 He who is unjust, let him be unjust still; he who is filthy, let him be filthy still; he who is righteous, let him be righteous[d] still; he who is holy, let him be holy still.”

Jesus Testifies to the Churches

12 “And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work. 13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.”[e]

14 Blessed are those who do His commandments,[f] that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city. 15 But[g] outside are dogs and sorcerers and sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and whoever loves and practices a lie.

16 “I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you these things in the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, the Bright and Morning Star.”

17 And the Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let him who hears say, “Come!” And let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely.

A Warning

18 For[h] I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to these things, God will add[i] to him the plagues that are written in this book; 19 and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away[j] his part from the Book[k] of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. (Revelation 22: 6-19 NKJV)

Folks, each DVD that we make is made up of hundreds of static images video clips, the longer the video the more clips it takes to produce the finished product. The saying is really true that a picture is worth a thousand words, well, multiply that with a video clip made up of 100’s of pictures then it’s worth is even more. In the short video above, Our Time is Short, we used many of the video clips in our library to portray an idea or provoke a thought and we are always adding images and clips to our library so that we can keep our videos fresh and contemporary.

These video clips are very expensive, a 30 second clip can cost as much as a $100 dollars to several thousand dollars depending on the contents and the source. We purchase a lot of our clips in sets to help reduce the cost, sometimes you can get 20 to 30 clips as a set for a couple of hundred dollars.

One of the major suppliers of video clips, Digital Juice, is having a half price special on their animated video clips of which we use all the time, several of them were used in the above video. We have already purchased 14 of their 27 volumes that they have available, we would like to be able to purchase the remaining 13 volumes that they have available. They are normally $199.95 for each set but for the next few days they are only $99.95, so we would need about $1300 to purchase the remaining sets for our library. Would you please pray about helping us to make this purchase, we use these all the time and the bigger selection we have to choose from the better we are able to convey our message.

SCOTUS Continues to Push America into Ungodliness

leviticus-18-22-kjv

John R. Houk

© June 26, 2013

Thanks to the Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) America slides deeper and further away from God’s Word on homosexuality. That essentially is a part of the “Change” promised by the Deceiver-in-Chief Obama to extricate the influence of Christian Morality from influencing American culture.

I haven’t read the majority and the dissent in which SCOTUS struck down the portions of Defense of Marriage ACT (DOMA) pertaining to States that have legalized same-sex marriage. THEN SCOTUS ruled that the private organization (ProtectMarriage.com) defending California’s Proposition 8 which made same-sex marriage illegal in California DID NOT HAVE STANDING to defend State legislation.

In the case of California in which the Leftist Democrats love the abomination of homosexuality against the will of California voters and the State government refused to protect the will of California voters it means the 9th Appellate Court decision vacating Prop. 8 is vacated but that the original Court in California that vacated Prop. 8 is upheld. The experts I heard on Fox News seemed to think that ends litigation pertaining to Prop. 8 since ONLY the California State government has standing to defend the Proposition 8’s legality in the Appellate and SCOTUS level of the Federal Courts.

No matter how you look at it, the Supreme Court has ruled that the Word of God pertaining to homosexuality is UNCONSTITUTIONAL! God have mercy on the Americans that stand on the Word of God but are now coerced by the American rule of law to accept homosexuality as normal and legal. Biblical believing Christians are now in the potential situation of criminal and civil actions being enforced against them if they refuse to service anything to do with same-sex marriage.

The five Justices that struck down portions of DOMA extricated their opinion from the Fifth Amendment that came into existence as part of the Bill of Rights (first ten Amendments) to give specificity to the Rights of American citizens. What do you think that the Founding Fathers would have thought of using the Fifth Amendment to validate homosexual rights despite God’s Word declaring same-acts as IMMORAL?

Fifth Amendment

No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a grand jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the militia, when in actual service in time of war or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offense to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.

I am not seeing the dispensation of civil rights to immoral homosexuals.

God’s Word on Homosexuality

1 Now the two angels came to Sodom in the evening, and Lot was sitting in the gate of Sodom. When Lot saw them, he rose to meet them, and he bowed himself with his face toward the ground.

4 Now before they lay down, the men of the city, the men of Sodom, both old and young, all the people from every quarter, surrounded the house. 5 And they called to Lot and said to him, “Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us that we may know them carnally.

6 So Lot went out to them through the doorway, shut the door behind him, 7 and said, “Please, my brethren, do not do so wickedly! 8 See now, I have two daughters who have not known a man; please, let me bring them out to you, and you may do to them as you wish; only do nothing to these men, since this is the reason they have come under the shadow of my roof.”

9 And they said, “Stand back!” Then they said, “This one came in to stay here, and he keeps acting as a judge; now we will deal worse with you than with them.” So they pressed hard against the man Lot, and came near to break down the door. 10 But the men reached out their hands and pulled Lot into the house with them, and shut the door. 11 And they struck the men who were at the doorway of the house with blindness, both small and great, so that they became weary trying to find the door.

13 For we will destroy this place, because the outcry against them has grown great before the face of the Lord, and the Lord has sent us to destroy it.”

24 Then the Lord rained brimstone and fire on Sodom and Gomorrah, from the Lord out of the heavens. 25 So He overthrew those cities, all the plain, all the inhabitants of the cities, and what grew on the ground. (Bold Emphasis Mine – Gen. 19: 1, 4-11, 13, 24-25 NKJV)

22 You shall not lie with a male as with a woman. It is an abomination. 23 Nor shall you mate with any animal, to defile yourself with it. Nor shall any woman stand before an animal to mate with it. It is perversion.

24 ‘Do not defile yourselves with any of these things; for by all these the nations are defiled, which I am casting out before you. 25 For the land is defiled; therefore I visit the punishment of its iniquity upon it, and the land vomits out its inhabitants. (Bold Emphasis Mine – I added verse 23 so there is an understanding of the level of “perversion” God views homosexuality Lev. 18: 22-25 NKJV)

13 If a man lies with a male as he lies with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination. They shall surely be put to death. Their blood shall be upon them. (Bold Emphasis Mine – Lev. 20: 13 NKJV)

Homosexual Activists and Apologists are big to point out that Lev. 20:13 calls the penalty of Law for homosexuality is death. How wrong is this in modern society, right? I don’t know how Jews have updated this Scripture from the Torah – which is the Pentateuch of the Old Testament to us Christians – But the update in Christianity is the Blood of Christ from His death, burial and Resurrection delivers any Believer in Christ’s Redemptive ACT from the penalty of the Law in this life. In the resurrection of all the dead there will be a time that dead people face the Last Judgment. It is in the Last Judgment where the hearts of men (all people for you politically correct dudes) are expressly known in which people choose unrepentant sin of faith in Christ. The unrepentant will judged with a penalty according to their sin and sent to the appropriate chamber of Hell which I believe is ultimately the Lake of Fire – always burning in pain but never ceasing from an existence of eternal punishment. The unrepentant homosexual still faces the penalty of death in the Law; however not in this life but in the next life.

1 Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have[a] peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

6 For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.

8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. 10 For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. 11 And not only that, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation.

12 Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned— 13 (For until the law sin was in the world, but sin is not imputed when there is no law. 14 Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over those who had not sinned according to the likeness of the transgression of Adam, who is a type of Him who was to come. 15 But the free gift is not like the offense. For if by the one man’s offense many died, much more the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, abounded too many. 16 And the gift is not like that which came through the one who sinned. For the judgment which came from one offense resulted in condemnation, but the free gift which came from many offenses resulted in justification. 17 For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.)

20 Moreover the law entered that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, grace abounded much more, 21 so that as sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (Bold Emphasis Mine – Romans 5: 1-2, 6, 8-17, 20-21 NKJV)

1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? 2 Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it? 3 Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? 4 Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

12 Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts. 13 And do not present your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God. 14 For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace.

15 What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? Certainly not! 16 Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one’s slaves whom you obey, whether of sin leading to death, or of obedience leading to righteousness? 17 But God be thanked that though you were slaves of sin, yet you obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine to which you were delivered. 18 And having been set free from sin, you became slaves of righteousness. 19 I speak in human terms because of the weakness of your flesh. For just as you presented your members as slaves of uncleanness, and of lawlessness leading to more lawlessness, so now present your members as slaves of righteousness for holiness.

20 For when you were slaves of sin, you were free in regard to righteousness. 21 What fruit did you have then in the things of which you are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death. 22 But now having been set free from sin, and having become slaves of God, you have your fruit to holiness, and the end, everlasting life. 23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Bold Emphasis Mine – Romans 6: 1-4, 12-23 NKJV)

The Gift of Grace through the Blood of Jesus Christ wipes away the past slate of sin. At Salvation a person’s inner spirit is renewed and transformed into a new spirit man in the image of Christ rather than in the image of Fallen Adam. What about those who have tasted the Grace of God yet in time rejected Salvation by relying on the unredeemed carnal nature? It happens to the best of us and to those full of themselves, you KNOW the carnal nature if allowed to will dominate a Christian leading to the possibility of having their name whited out of the Book of Life in the Last Judgment. And yet what if you come to your senses and realize your choices have separated you from God that could lead to the Second Death which is eternal separation from the Presence of God occurring after the Last Judgment. All sinners – non-Christians and Carnal Christians – have a moment in their life to change their heart as God knows all. There is no lie that hides the truth from God.

This parable is for those who have renounced Christ for what was deceptively thought a better life in sin:

11 Then He said: “A certain man had two sons. 12 And the younger of them said to his father, ‘Father, give me the portion of goods that falls to me.’ So he divided to them his livelihood. 13 And not many days after, the younger son gathered all together, journeyed to a far country, and there wasted his possessions with prodigal living. 14 But when he had spent all, there arose a severe famine in that land, and he began to be in want. 15 Then he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country, and he sent him into his fields to feed swine. 16 And he would gladly have filled his stomach with the pods that the swine ate, and no one gave him anything.

17 “But when he came to himself, he said, ‘How many of my father’s hired servants have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger! 18 I will arise and go to my father, and will say to him, “Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you, 19 and I am no longer worthy to be called your son. Make me like one of your hired servants.”’

20 “And he arose and came to his father. But when he was still a great way off, his father saw him and had compassion, and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him. 21 And the son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight, and am no longer worthy to be called your son.’

22 “But the father said to his servants, ‘Bring[a] out the best robe and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand and sandals on his feet. 23 And bring the fatted calf here and kill it, and let us eat and be merry; 24 for this my son was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’ And they began to be merry.

25 “Now his older son was in the field. And as he came and drew near to the house, he heard music and dancing. 26 So he called one of the servants and asked what these things meant. 27 And he said to him, ‘Your brother has come, and because he has received him safe and sound, your father has killed the fatted calf.’

28 “But he was angry and would not go in. Therefore his father came out and pleaded with him. 29 So he answered and said to his father, ‘Lo, these many years I have been serving you; I never transgressed your commandment at any time; and yet you never gave me a young goat, that I might make merry with my friends. 30 But as soon as this son of yours came, who has devoured your livelihood with harlots, you killed the fatted calf for him.’

31 “And he said to him, ‘Son, you are always with me, and all that I have is yours.  (Bold Emphasis Mine – Luke 15: 11-31 NKJV)

This parable can applied to all sinning Christians. Nonetheless the topic is homosexuality is an abomination before God. A homosexual that has left Christianity or deceptively still views them self as a Christian you need to be aware that repentance will lead you into the arms of our Loving Father God through the Grace provided by the Blood of Jesus. HOWEVER, any Christian that unrepentantly rejects Salvation in Christ and dies in their sin – such as homosexuality – probably will have their name stricken from the Book of Life in the Last Judgment. Now I say “probably” because I am not God and I have no right to act as an eternal Judge. That responsibility was delivered to the Jesus Christ the Son of God and coequal in Oneness as Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted the heavenly gift, and have become partakers of the Holy Spirit, 5 and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come, 6 if they fall away,[b] to renew them again to repentance, since they crucify again for themselves the Son of God, and put Him to an open shame.

7 For the earth which drinks in the rain that often comes upon it, and bears herbs useful for those by whom it is cultivated, receives blessing from God; 8 but if it bears thorns and briers, it is rejected and near to being cursed, whose end is to be burned. (Bold Emphasis Mine – Hebrews 6: 4-8 NKJV)

Okay, this is not Islam in which two contradictory verses are both true. I should point out that I am not a theologian even though I have graduated from a two year Bible School program. So what I am about to write be sure to check it out with your Pastor.

The Prodigal Son indicates there is repentance to one who has abandoned his faith. Hebrews 6: 4-8 seems to indicate the opposite in that once you have tasted the privileges of Salvation and go on to live a sinners life rejecting Christ’s Salvation, then there is no repentance that can return one back to the family of God.

As a Christian I believe the Word of God is the inerrant Truth. Rather than pull an “aha!” and proclaim the Bible is fake because it is a book of contradicting theology, I choose to reason a compatibility in which Scriptures are the Truth if there is a seeming contradiction.

I believe that scarlet thread that connects the Prodigal Son and the Hebrews verses concerning there is only one repentance is this: The Prodigal Son never disdained his father but came to his senses that a sinful lifestyle will lead to death. The Hebrews repentance once only Scriptures is applicable to those that have chosen the rabbit hole of no return. Thus any repentance – or life turning change – is a lie and is impossible. To such a person the act of repentance is not a heart change but rather a deceptive live to benefit some agenda and thus is a person throwing the Redemptive Blood of Christ in the old sticking pigsty. And that is my unauthoritative reconciliation enabling one Truth.

Allow me to reiterate that SCOTUS’s decision to force the Federal government to recognize States that have made same-sex marriage recognized by a minority of States is an abomination before God. In many cases those States that have legalized same-sex marriage has done with State Courts and NOT by legislation or a People’s Initiative that many States give to their voters. Indeed that brings me to SCOTUS and Proposition 8. Proposition 8 defined marriage as between one male and one female nullifying same-sex marriage. SCOTUS decided that the private individuals that have appealed a District Court decisions that made Prop. 8 unconstitutional within the California State Constitution did not have standing. The Dem Leftists of California’s State Congress and their Dem Leftist Governor refused to defend the will of the California voters in any courtroom.

So here is SCOTUS making same-sex marriage rights a State decision that the Federal government must honor and then slapping Christian Morality private citizens in the face for defending the California voters because the State government refused to back the voters.

SCOTUS defends States’ Rights and then rejects States’ Rights simultaneously. This is all a bunch of malarkey to force Americans to further accept that which God calls an abomination; viz. same-sex relationships!

God’s Word including Homosexuality

18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, 19 because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. 20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, 21 because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Professing to be wise, they became fools, 23 and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man—and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things.

24 Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, 25 who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.

26 For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. 27 Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due.

28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting; 29 being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality,[c] wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers, 30 backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31 undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving,[d] unmerciful; 32 who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them. (Bold Emphasis Mine – Romans 1: 18-32 NKJV)

The Sin that Leads to Death

Jesus on Judgment Seat

John R. Houk

August 15, 2012

I found an old Pastor Bob Yandian essay on dealing with sin. Most of the essay I agree with; e.g. he brings clarification about the command if the hand sins – cut it off or if the eye sins – pluck it out.

I do question the part that is also promulgated with Scripture to back up the assertion by many ministers that sin is sin. When one commits a sin God views all sin equally; i.e. as wrong and worthy of judgment for sin.

Repented sin is forgiven by the washing of the Blood of Jesus when repentance is an actual heart change. I say “actual” because God knows when a person deludes their self into believing they can be a habitual sinner relishing in sinning and fool God by calling on the Blood of Jesus. An All-Knowing God is not a fool to be deceived by the lies of the heart.

In my reading of Scripture I agree somewhat that unrepented sin will be judged on the Day of Judgment. But even that judgment is executed according to the sin and the prayers of others.

14 Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. 15 And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.

16 If anyone sees his brother sinning a sin which does not lead to death, he will ask, and He will give him life for those who commit sin not leading to death. There is sin leading to death. I do not say that he should pray about that. 17 All unrighteousness is sin, and there is sin not leading to death. (Bold Emphasis Mine 1 john 5: 14-17 NKJV)

For me this is an indication there are different degrees of sin of which the highest degree is a sin that leads to death and no amount of prayer will release a person for the sin that leads to death. By the way the “death” spoken of here is not physical death. God is not going to throw lightning bolts from Heaven for the sin that leads to death. Rather the “death” spoken of here is the Second Death. The Second Death is eternal separation from the Presence of God. In other words the Second Death is eternal imprisonment in Hell after the Day of Judgment. The mystery to me is what is that sin that leads to death? I John does not address as if the readers the Epistle was sent to were aware of that sin. I suspect that sin that leads to death is the rejection of Jesus Christ as the Son of God, Lord and Savior after the Good News was shared. AND that this rejection is perpetual in this life in the sense of ultimately blaspheming against the Holy Spirit.

28 “Assuredly, I say to you, all sins will be forgiven the sons of men, and whatever blasphemies they may utter; 29 but he who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is subject to eternal condemnation”— 30 because they said, “He has an unclean spirit.” (Mark 3: 28 – 30 NKJV)

31 “Therefore I say to you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven men. 32 Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him, either in this age or in the age to come.

33 “Either make the tree good and its fruit good, or else make the tree bad and its fruit bad; for a tree is known by its fruit. 34 Brood of vipers! How can you, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. 35 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart[a] brings forth good things, and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things. 36 But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment. 37 For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.” (Bold Emphasis Mine Matt: 12: 31-37 NKJV)

The implication here is that blaspheming the Holy Spirit is equating Him to Satan or a demon servant of Satan. I’ll leave it to your study the many ways one might be demonizing the Holy Spirit. Tread in the fear of God and the Love of Jesus.

Inward and Outward Sins

By Bob Yandian

Bob Yandian Ministries

The heart consists of the spirit and the soul (the mind, will, and emotions). The spirit cannot sin, but we can have sin in the soulish part of our inner man.

If asked to list sins, most people would begin with obvious sins such as murder, adultery, and stealing; and as the lists went on, they would vary from denomination to denomination depending upon beliefs and doctrine. But, the question we need to ask is, “What does God consider to be a sin?” Since we all agree murder is a sin, let’s take it up first. Jesus speaks of killing in Matthew 5:21 when He says to His disciples, “Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment.”

Later, in Matthew 19:18, Jesus is speaking to the rich young ruler about keeping the commandments and the first one He mentions is the sixth commandment, “Thou shalt not kill.” (Exodus 20:13) But notice the way Jesus phrases it, “Thou shalt do no murder.” (Matthew 19:18) This verse is the only place where the word is correctly translated as murder in the King James Bible. However, the Amplified Bible translates the Hebrew word used in the commandment of Exodus 20:13 as murder rather than as kill.

Also, the Bible tells us there are bonafide times for killings. According to Ecclesiastes 3:3, there is a time to kill, and a time to heal. We know the Word does not contradict itself, so the key to this seeming disparity must lie in the definitions of kill and murder. Murder, is always condemned and refers to the shedding of innocent blood; whereas, killing happens during a time of war or as in capital punishment.

I’m sure most would agree with the statement in Matthew 5:21 that if a person murders, the murder will be held against him when he stands before God on Judgment Day. In Matthew 5:22 Jesus says, “But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with this brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment.”

We tend to accept the premise that murder is an outward act, but Jesus further defines murder in verse 22. He expalains that someone who is angry (actually the Greek says “lightly angry”) with his brother without cause shall be in the same danger of judgment as the person who physically murders another. In other words, mental murder is the same as outward murder. It is not “as bad as,” but “the same as.” In other words, to think it, is to commit it.

How could mental murder be outward murder? After all, no one dies. To find the answer, let’s look at this from the point of view of forgiveness. If you were to actually kill someone, chances are you would hit your knees immediately and ask the Lord for forgiveness. However, if you were “lightly angry with someone without cause,” how long would it take you to ask for forgiveness? A day? A week? Perhaps two weeks? Perhaps you would neglect it so long you would never ask for forgiveness and this is the crux of the matter.

The need to ask for forgiveness for mental murder is as great as it is for physical murder because to God they are the same. Remember, even though man sees only the outward acts, the Lord sees the heart. Furthermore, murder doesn’t truly begin with the outward act. It starts on the inside as a thought. Therefore, if you can stop the thought of the inner man, you can stop the act of the outward man.

This idea takes us to the next sin on most lists – adultery. Jesus quotes Exodus 20:14, the seventh commandment, in Matthew 5:27, “Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery.”

When we think of the sin of adultery we think of the outward act, but according to what He says in Matthew 5:28, Jesus considers thinking about the act to be the same as committing the outward act. “But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.”

I want to make something clear. There is nothing wrong about looking at someone of the opposite sex, but looking to lust is wrong. The motivation behind the looking is what is important. If your motivation is to lust, then in God’s eyes you have already committed adultery even though you never committed the outward act.

If a Christian were to commit the act of adultery, he would probably be on his knees in no time asking the Lord for forgiveness. Conversely, if a Christian were looking in lust, it would be easy to postpone asking for forgiveness because the sin doesn’t seem as bad as the outward act. However, God doesn’t judge one sin as being worse than another. To God, looking to lust is the same as adultery. This basic idea that the thoughts of the inner man are the germination of what is manifested on the outside is emphasized in Proverbs 23:7, “For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he.”

Jesus further equates the inner and outer acts in Matthew 5:29-30. The subject has not changed. He spoke of adultery in verse 28 and He is still speaking of it when he says, “And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell. And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body be cast into hell.”

These verses are often misunderstood unless they are looked at within the context of the sin of adultery and the theme of forgiveness.

Jesus is not speaking of literally cutting off one’s hand or plucking out one’s eye. Instead, He is referring to self-judgment. Notice, the person is to cut off his hand himself. He is not to go to his neighbor and ask him to do it for him. He is to do it himself. In other words, he is to judge himself.

Also, the hand refers to the outward act of adultery and the cutting off of the hand is a reference to forgiveness. Likewise, in the previous verse, the eye refers to the mental sin of adultery and the plucking it out alludes to asking for forgiveness. If we judge ourselves and ask for forgiveness, we won’t be judged. In both verses Jesus also says to “cast it from thee.” This means, once you have purged yourself of the sin through God’s forgiveness, stop sinning.

It is interesting to note that while God considers murder and adultery as sins, He actually spends more time exhorting us about inner sins. In fact, in Proverbs 6:16-19, seven sins are named and only one is what most people would recognize as one of the really bad sins because the other sins are either sins of the tongue or thoughts.

Proverbs 6:16-19:

These six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood. An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethern.”

The one sin mentioned here already discussed is murder, the shedding of innocent blood. As we mentioned, there is a time when killing is allowed, but never murder. In fact, Genesis 9:6 says, “Whoso sheddeth man’s blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man.” This is why the Bible condones capital punishment. This same idea is found in the New Testament in the thirteenth chapter of Romans. This chapter deals with governments and the law of the land and the fact that offices are ordained by God.

In Romans 13:4 we are told “He [the government] is the minister of God to do good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he [the government] beareth not the sword in vain.” The government has the right to take the life of a murderer.

As we have already said, the sins mentioned in Proverbs 6 are all the less obvious sins of the inner man except murder. Nevertheless, these sins are abominations to the Lord and we should quickly ask forgiveness for them just as we would if we committed murder.

In Matthew 5:23-24 Jesus says, “Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee; Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift.”

You may be wondering how a person could possibly be so guilty that he shouldn’t even give an offering until the grievance has been cleared up and the other person is no longer angry. Chances are if someone has ought against another person, it is because the person did something to offend the one who is now angry.

Therefore, we need to repent of that sin before we give an offering to the Lord. While putting an offering in the plate may sooth our consciences for awhile, it will be meaningless because we can’t buy God! After all, it is not the amount we give, it is our attitude in giving. We cannot put away these inner sins by putting money in an offering just as we can’t put away outward sins by giving money. Both types of sin require asking for forgiveness.

Matthew 5:25 deals with someone who has wronged us. “Agree with thine adversary quickly, whiles thou are in the way with him; lest at any time the adversary deliver thee to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and thou be cast into prison.”

This verse admonishes us to instantly forgive someone who wrongs us. If we don’t forgive, the grievance will fester inside us and then where will we be? In sin and in need of God’s forgiveness. It’s wrong to harbor unforgiveness. It’s better to forgive, forget, and go about your task of spreading the gospel.

Let me add this, nobody makes you mad. You allow yourself to become angry. For example, if someone “makes you angry” because they told a lie about you, this anger could cause you to retaliate. The power of a lie is in the retaliation because it fuels it and keeps it alive.

Instead of becoming angry, try facing such situations with a smile and praising the Lord. There are times when Jesus did not turn the other cheek and did retaliate. His throwing the money changers out of the temple is a common example. However, when you are being persecuted for the Word’s sake, you are never to retaliate!

Matthew 5:11-12 tells us, “Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.”

Being able to rejoice and be exceeding glad in the face of persecution and obstinate circumstances indicates maturity.

Lastly, Jesus exhorts us not to “forswear” ourselves. He refers to the Old Testament in Matthew 5:33. However, in verses 34-37, He gets even more specific, “Again, ye have heard that it hath been said by them of old time, Thou shalt not forswear thyself, but shalt perform unto the Lord thine oaths: But I say unto you, Swear not at all; neither by heaven; for it is God’s throne: Nor by the earth; for it is his footstool: neither by Jerusalem; for it is the city of the great King. Neither shalt thou swear by thy head, because thou canst not make one hair white or black. But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil.”

Jesus tells us not to forswear at all. Forswearing is calling upon someone or something else to give support to your statement. Some people say, “As God is my witness” thinking if God co-signs their statements, they will be accepted.

Jesus indicates doing this shows a weak character. He goes continues by saying we need to let our “yes” mean yes and our “no” mean no. In fact, He says anything more comes from evil.

Looking to lust, a lying tongue, and a proud look are but a few of the sins mentioned in the Bible and although they are not blatant outward sins men can see, they are sins, nonetheless, and God sees them. Thus, we need to ask for forgiveness for these inner sins just as we would for an obvious sin. Just as importantly, we cannot put off asking for forgiveness because these inner sins can and do lead to outward sins.

However, the good news is, if we repent, God is faithful and just to forgive us of our sins.

Natural Born Sinners

Hell or Heaven - Rom. 6-23

A Youtube friend sent me one of the most awesome sermons I have read for a person to choose Life in Christ Jesus the Redeemer-Savior.

Even if you are a Christian this is a good refresher of the reason you are Born Again. At the end of the sermon CBYakima has a video by TheAbaloneKid. The two may be one and the same person or two good friends. I am uncertain; nevertheless be sure to read and grasp the sermon that is a road map to Salvation in Christ.

It’s the heart condition that exists which is our problem that stops us. We are natural born sinners. Sinners by nature who have no connection to God who is our maker. It is our inherited condition. Because of this God is strange to us. Jesus Christ on the bloody stick (often called a “cross”) is strange to us! This is our condition. We are born separated from God spiritually. Thus God cannot be the leader in our lives. God cannot shed grace upon grace on us. God loves all humans but cannot act in our lives until by His grace and through faith God gives, we believe God, and then, by faith!, receive all God has for each of us in this life, which is in Jesus Christ.

Sin has deceived us, because it is just as natural to us as looking at our face in a mirror. We do not see what our heart, and mind and soul cannot see is our lost condition. Only God can wake us up. Only God can bring life to us from the spiritually dead condition and separation from God we suffer in our lost state. If God would appear right now God would be a total stranger to us.

The proof of our fallen and dead spiritual condition is in our sins. God cannot accept sins and receive a sinner for GOD is perfect and Holy. ONLY JESUS CHRIST CAN STAND IN FOR US BEFORE ALMIGHTY GOD! We are God’s creation. God has given us a way to overcome this condition. Like symptoms of a disease, our sin is the evidence of our lost condition. And even after we are “born again” we will sin because our old nature remains. But when we truly BELIEVE GOD and His WORD, we will be given a new nature through the Spirit of God who will come and reside in us and we will slowly but surely change and understand God more and more.

That’s why God has said we MUST be born again by Spirit and through His word in the Bible which is the truth. He is our physician. Jesus Christ has told us of our condition. Left unattended we will die in our sins and be judged one day by Him.

This is the TRUTH OF GOD, not our thoughts about life but His TRUTHS. Now they seem foreign to us.

In order to overcome it we must be “Born Again”! Jesus Christ is our only sure hope. He paid the price for our sins. He is God the Son with full authority to pay that price in His perfect life and sinless being. Under false accusations and judgment, HE DIED FOR US AND SHED HIS BLOOD ON THE CROSS THAT IS THE PAYMENT for all our sins. And He rose from the dead to guarantee us eternal life in Him.

By receiving this free gift of God’s grace is the only way GOD can have direct communication with us. This is how we become God’s adopted children: through Jesus Christ who is our Savior. He has saved us from the penalty of our sins. He has delivered us from death which is spiritual separation from GOD that already exists, into a new relationship, as children of GOD, FOREVER!

Pick up a Bible and reread the passages I quoted in my message. Read the other verses that accompany those scriptures. It will help you understand more.

I know it’s strange to hear these things. That is natural to our STATE OF BEING. Our life and the society around us encourage our attitude of being “better”, and “Getting more out of life”, “success” “YES WE CAN!” , and taking “our place” as another sucker for all the lost ways, apart from Christ, of the different world orders and their beliefs and philosophies. But we were made BY GOD a long time ago. God gave His human family LIFE! God owns us and all that makes up the earth and Heavens and Galaxies.

God is not mocked by the lost of the world! Mankind is already under judgment for sin. It turned it’s collective back on God a long time ago. And civilizations have come and they have gone into the graveyard of NO returns. And all types of people that make up nations and states are under judgment excepting those who believe on Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior which is who He is. Let me repeat a short but most powerful verse all should learn:

“For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).

God has a ironclad plan for His creation. GOD WILL HAVE HIS WAY. God calls His human creation! That is God’s way. He is calling you. God is telling you the truth. ONLY JESUS CHRIST SAVES. You must believe WHY AND HOW. If you are destined to be a child of GOD through the Son of God, you WILL understand! GOD will open your eyes and you will see and understand by the Spirit of God. Only the Spirit of God can inform you by the Word of God which is revealed to this world, in the Bible, through Jesus Christ who is God.

May God bless you to be His. I am here to help.

Examining Homosexual Myths

Word Coming From God - Bible sm

I found this post on the Pilgrim Passing blog entitled, “Examining Homosexual Myths”. This is a post of two essays that even handily refutes many of the claims of homosexual activists. The essays use a non-confrontational approach which is excellent because I am often accused of a confrontational approach on posts confronting the homosexual agenda. Hence I am cross posting this on my blogs. Thanks for the good work Sean.

Examining Homosexual Myths

Pilgrim Passing

This is a two-part article; the first part discusses the lie that Homosexuality is genetic and therefore the Homosexual is unable to opt out of their lifestyle.

The second article examines and debunks some of the major myths concerning Homosexuality which are being fostered upon North American society by
the Homosexual Agenda‘s influence in the educational system, the mainstream media, and the entertainment industries.

Is It Possible for Homosexuals to Change?

By Sue Bohlin

Mike {1} was marching in a Gay Pride parade when God got a hold of him. He had been high for four days and his “buzz” suddenly evaporated as he heard a voice in his head say, “You don’t have to live like this.” He knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that it was God offering him a way out. He put down his Gay Pride sign, left the parade, sat down in a nearby stairwell, and repented of his rebellion.

He gave his heart to Jesus Christ and starting walking out of homosexuality that day. Today, several years later, he is married with a child, and living a very different kind of life. Not just on the outside; his heart was changed from the inside out.

Randy was on a self-destructive path of drug and alcohol abuse and homosexual activity. When he told his mother he was gay, she threw him out of the house, and the only place he could find belonging, safety, and identity was the gay community. As he spent more and more time “escaping” the pain in his life through sex and alcohol, he began to realize how bad his life was. He wanted to die but God had something else in mind.

Randy was invited to a Bible study where he met a man who had left the gay lifestyle and was living a changed life. For the first time he honestly called out and said, “God, please help me.”

One of his friends became a Christian. He asked her about homosexuality and was angered by her initial response. She said, “I now believe it is a sin–but God wouldn’t call it a sin if there weren’t something better.” Randy eventually realized that he was a sinner who needed God’s love and grace, and in 1992 he trusted Christ as his Savior. Two months later, he was led to Living Hope, an organization that helps people walk out of homosexuality through an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ. He left his homosexual identity behind and embraced his true identity as a child of God, committed to holiness and purity. Randy is now director of that ministry and is helping others walk out of homosexuality. He’s not perfect, he’s still growing . . . just like me and every other Christian I know. But the “something better” God had in mind for him is an intimacy with Christ that is breathtaking.

Randy brings glory to God every day of his life by living out the abiding truth that change is possible.

Stories of Women
Carol grew up in a religious home with parents whose standards were too strict to allow her to please them. But she was smart, and a good student, and her teachers gave her the affirmation and encouragement her heart longed for. She developed very strong bonds with her teachers, some of which became profound emotional dependencies.

In graduate school, she was hit by the unexpected pain of loneliness and emptiness. Carol got into an intense relationship with a married woman, facing completely new temptations. She was totally unprepared to resist the strength of same-gender attraction, and quickly found herself emotionally and physically involved in a relationship she couldn’t believe was happening. Now she was not only emotionally needy, she was shackled by deep shame, woundedness, and guilt.

A friend told her about a ministry to those dealing with same-sex attraction, and it was like finding a door to another world. Through the support she found there, Carol was challenged to identify the lies of Satan which she had believed her whole life and replace them with the truth of Scripture. God is renewing her mind, meeting her deep heart-needs, and bringing her to a place of freedom and hope.

Diane’s story is different. She spent eighteen years in a committed lesbian relationship with another woman she believed to be her soul-mate. They went through a commitment ceremony in a gay church, and raised a daughter together. She enjoyed a position of leadership as a bright and articulate spokesperson for a gay church.

Through all those years, Diane’s mother was steadfast in three things. She loved Diane unconditionally. She never backed down about her belief that her daughter’s lifestyle was sinful because God says it’s wrong. And third, she prayed faithfully for her daughter.

Diane and her partner sought the Lord about everything except their sexuality. At one point, they were praying together for wisdom and truth about a situation that had nothing to do with their relationship. God answered their prayer in an unexpected way; He showed them the truth about the sinful nature of their relationship. It was a terribly painful and unwelcome discovery to learn that they had been deceived. Together, they decided out of obedience to God to separate and break off their relationship. It’s still painful, even as Diane experiences God’s healing touch in the deepest parts of her wounded soul. He’s changing Diane and Carol from the inside out.

Two Claims for Change
Some people deal with same-sex attraction by pretending it’s not there. Denial is unfortunately the time-honored “Christian” response. But this is not the way God wants us to deal with problems; Psalm 51:6 says, “Surely you desire truth in my inmost parts.” Acknowledging one has a homosexual orientation is like seeing the red light on your car’s dashboard; it means something is wrong somewhere. A homosexual orientation isn’t the actual problem; it’s the symptom of a deeper issue–legitimate, God-given needs for relationship and intimacy that have been channeled in unhealthy and sinful directions.

But it is not a simple matter, and it would be disrespectful to imply that there is an easy solution to the complex issue of homosexuality. Among those who claim that change is possible, there are two main schools of thought on how to get there.

The first and most recommended treatment (within the Denominational religious system) for homosexuality is reparative therapy. There is a lot of wisdom to be found here because many therapists believe that homosexuality has its roots in hurtful relationship patterns, especially with family members, and many homosexual men and women report exactly that. But reparative therapy is often just behavior modification, and it deals only with the flesh, that part of us independent of God.

Reparative therapy can make people feel better, but it can’t bring true inner healing.

The second, and I believe best, way to bring about real and lasting change is a redemptive approach. Ministries that disciple men and women in intimate relationship with Jesus Christ are able to lead them into inner healing because God transforms His people. It’s excruciatingly difficult to leave homosexuality without support. Fortunately, even for people who do not live in an area where there is an Exodus referral ministry, there are online support forums that are almost as powerful as face-to-face groups. I especially recommend the one at http://www.livehope.org. There are also some wonderful books available, particularly Coming Out of Homosexuality by Bob Davies, and Someone I Love is Gay by Anita Worthen and Bob Davies. Another excellent book is You Don’t Have to Be Gay by Jeff Konrad. But discipleship is hard work, and there is no simple and easy fix.

The Path to True Change
The most effective route to real, lasting change for those caught in same-gender attraction is a redemptive approach. This means discipleship, being taught and encouraged and held accountable to develop intimacy with Christ. Interestingly, it doesn’t seem to matter what the particular stronghold is in a person’s life–whether it be homosexuality, gluttony, drug dependency, compulsive gambling or shopping, alcoholism, sexual addiction, or any other stronghold–the most effective solution is the same: intimacy with Christ.

True discipleship is hard work. And God even gives us the energy for discipleship! But it takes tremendous self-discipline to choose to operate in the Spirit instead of in our own flesh, to depend on God’s strength instead of our own.

The real battle is in the mind.

The steps to overcoming homosexuality also apply to overcoming any stronghold.

First, the person has to stop the sinful behavior. It’s best to ask for God’s help. This is no different from the requirement for any drug or alcohol abuse treatment. You can’t work on a problem when you’re still totally controlled by it.

The second step is to work on learning what the Bible says about who you are in Christ. Just as people learning to identify counterfeit money examine real currency so they can spot the fakes, the struggler needs to fill his mind with God’s Word so he can enter into his true identity as a beloved, valuable child of God.

The third step is working on the thought life, since this is where the battle is. It’s important to identify Satan’s lies playing as tapes in one’s head, and stop the tape player! Then, deliberately replace the lies with the truth. Instead of “I’m never going to change,” repeat the truthful promise that “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Phil. 4:13). Instead of obsessing over the aching and longing for the unhealthy and sinful behavior, fill your mind with praise and worship and Scripture.

Next, face the fact that it feels lousy! When we stop trying to meet our needs in our own ways, we start experiencing the emotional pain that our strongholds had covered up. When it feels really really bad, we are at that very point where God can make the biggest difference. Ask, What is my true need? What is it my heart is truly longing for? Go to Jesus and let Him meet your deepest heart-needs. Let Him direct you to get your divinely-designed needs for relationship with other people met in godly ways.

This is where powerful healing happens.

Ex-Ex-gays
For the last several years, people who had left homosexuality have slowly but surely gained a hearing in telling their stories. Word is getting out: change is possible!

And there are also the voices of the frustrated and disillusioned souls who tried to leave homosexuality, who tried to change, and gave up. There’s even a name for it: “Ex ex-gays.” Their stories are full of tremendous pain, and some have even lost their faith over it. What happened?

Well, I think the same thing that happened to people who tried AA but couldn’t stop drinking, or those who tried Weigh Down Workshop but couldn’t lose weight. I have a friend who was in Weigh Down Workshop, and it didn’t do a thing for her. The problem is, she never made the commitment to “die to self,”  to use a Scriptural term {2}. She never got to the point of saying, “Jesus, I choose You over food. I choose a holy relationship with You over an unhealthy relationship with my appetite. And I will do whatever it takes to allow You to change my heart.”

Many people who tried to change their homosexuality could win contests for praying and reading their Bibles. They really did try very very hard. But the prayers are often misdirected: “God, change me. Take away my desires. Let me start liking people of the opposite sex.” Unfortunately, as well-intentioned as this prayer is, it’s a lot like trying to get rid of dandelions in your back yard by mowing them. They keep coming back because you’re not dealing with their roots. The basic cause of a homosexual orientation isn’t genetics or choice; it’s a wrong response to being hurt. It’s about protecting oneself and trying to get legitimate needs met in ways God never intended. True change can only happen with the hard work of submitting to God, allowing Him to expose the deep hurts and needs of one’s heart, which means facing horrible pain, and inviting Him to bring healing to those wounded places. That’s why intimacy with Christ is the answer. A wise friend observed that homosexuality is the fruit of sinful ways of dealing with pain–sinful because they cut us off from the One who can heal and meet our needs, sinful because they place us at the center of our universe and we don’t belong there. Jesus does.

I hope you can see that real change is hard and it costs a great deal because it requires strong motivation, hard work, and perseverance. But hundreds of former homosexuals have found a large degree of change, attaining abstinence from homosexual behaviors, lessening of homosexual temptations, strengthening their sense of masculine or feminine identity, correcting distorted styles of relating with members of the same and opposite gender. Some former homosexuals marry and some don’t, but marriage is not the measuring stick; spiritual growth and obedience are.

The bottom line is, change is possible.

Homosexual Myths

By Sue Bohlin

In this essay we’ll be looking at some of the homosexual myths that have pervaded our culture, and hopefully answering their arguments. Much of this material is taken from Joe Dallas’ excellent book, A Strong Delusion: Confronting the “Gay Christian” Movement.(1) While the information in this essay may prove helpful, it is our prayer that you will be able to share it calmly and compassionately, remembering that homosexuality isn’t just a political and moral issue; it is also about people who are badly hurting.

10% of the Population Is Homosexual.
In 1948, Dr. Alfred Kinsey released a study called Sexual Behavior in the Human Male, claiming that between 10 and 47% of the male population was homosexual.(2) He got his figures from a pool of 5,300 male subject that he represented as your average “Joe College” student. Many of the men who gave him the data, though, actually consisted of sex offenders, prisoners, pimps, hold-up men, thieves, male prostitutes and other criminals, and hundreds of gay activists.(3) The 10% figure was widely circulated by Harry Hay, the father of the homosexual “civil rights” movement, urging that homosexuality be seen no longer as an act of sodomy but as a 10% minority class.(4)

Alfred C. Kinsey

Kinsey’s figures were exposed as completely false immediately afterwards, and by many other scientists since. The actual figure is closer to 2-3%.(5) But the 10% number has been so often reported in the press that most people think it’s valid. It’s not.

People Are Born Gay.

Ann Landers

Ann Landers said it, and millions of people believe it. The problem is, the data’s not there to support it. There are three ways to test for inborn traits: twin studies, brain dissections, and gene “linkage” studies.(6) Twin studies show that something other than genetics must account for homosexuality, because nearly half of the identical twin studied didn’t have the same sexual preference. If homosexuality were inherited, identical twins should either be both straight or both gay. Besides, none of the twin studies have been replicated, and other twin studies have produced completely different results.(7) Dr. Simon LeVay’s famous study on the brains of dead subjects yielded questionable results regarding its accuracy. He wasn’t sure of the sexual orientation of the people in the study, and Dr. LeVay even admits he doesn’t know if the changes in the brain structures were the cause *of* homosexuality, or caused *by* homosexuality.(8) Finally, an early study attempting to show a link between homosexuality and the X- chromosome has yet to be replicated, and a second study actually contradicted the findings of the first.(9) Even if homosexuality were someday proven to be genetically related, *inborn* does not necessarily mean *normal*. Some children are born with cystic fibrosis, but that doesn’t make it a normal condition.

Inborn tendencies toward certain behaviors (such as homosexuality) do not make those behaviors moral. Tendencies toward alcoholism, obesity, and violence are now thought to be genetically influenced, but they are not good behaviors. People born with tendencies toward these behaviors have to fight hard against their natural temptations to drunkenness, gluttony, and physical rage.

And since we are born as sinners into a fallen world, we have to deal with the consequences of the Fall. Just because we’re born with something doesn’t mean it’s normal. It’s not true that “God makes some people gay.” All of us have effects of the Fall we need to deal with.

View an excellent in-depth article exposing the lie of “born gay” currently being propogated by the Homosexual Agenda:

“The Born Gay Hoax”

What’s Wrong with Two Loving, Committed Men or Women Being Legally Married?
There are two aspects to marriage: the legal and the spiritual. Marriage is more than a social convention, like being “best friends” with somebody, because heterosexual marriage usually results in the production of children. Marriage is a legal institution in order to offer protection for women and children. Women need to have the freedom to devote their time and energies to be the primary nurturers and caretakers of children without being forced to be breadwinners as well. God’s plan is that children grow up in families who provide for them, protect them, and wrap them in security.

Because gay or lesbian couples are by nature unable to reproduce, they do not need the legal protection of marriage to provide a safe place for the production and raising of children. Apart from the sexual aspect of a gay relationship, what they have is really “best friend” status, and that does not require legal protection.

Gay Marriage is right

Of course, a growing number of gay couples are seeking to have a child together, either by adoption, artificial insemination, or surrogate mothering. Despite the fact that they have to resort to an outside procedure in order to become parents, the presence of adults plus children in an ad hoc household should not automatically secure official recognition of their relationship as a family. There is a movement in our culture which seeks to redefine “family” any way we want, but with a profound lack of discernment about the long-term effects on the people involved. Gay parents are making a dangerous statement to their children: lesbian mothers are saying that fathers are not important, and homosexual fathers are saying that mothers are not important. More and more social observers see the importance of both fathers and mothers in children’s lives; one of their roles is to teach boys what it means to be a boy and teach girls what it means to be a girl.

The other aspect of marriage is of a spiritual nature. Granted, this response to the gay marriage argument won’t make any difference to people who are unconcerned about spiritual things, but there are a lot of gays who care very deeply about God and long for a relationship with Him. The marriage relationship, both its emotional and especially its sexual components, is designed to serve as an earthbound illustration of the relationship between Christ and His bride, the church.(10) Just as there is a mystical oneness between a man and a woman, who are very different from each other, so there is a mystical unity between two very different, very “other” beings–the eternal Son of God and us mortal, creaturely humans. Marriage as God designed it is like the almost improbable union of butterfly and buffalo, or fire and water. But homosexual relationships are the coming together of two like individuals; the dynamic of unity and diversity in heterosexual marriage is completely missing, and therefore so is the spiritual dimension that is so intrinsic to the purpose of marriage. Both on an emotional and a physical level, the sameness of male and male, or female and female, demonstrates that homosexual relationships do not reflect the spiritual parable that marriage is meant to be. God wants marriage partners to complement, not to mirror, each other. The concept of gay marriage doesn’t work, whether we look at it on a social level or a spiritual one.

Jesus Said Nothing about Homosexuality.
Whether from a pulpit or at a gay rights event, gay activists like to point out that Jesus never addressed the issue of homosexuality; instead, He was more interested in love. Their point is that if Jesus didn’t specifically forbid a behavior, then who are we to judge those who engage in it?

This argument assumes that the Gospels are more important than the rest of the books in the New Testament, that only the recorded sayings of Jesus matter. But John’s gospel itself assures us that it is not an exhaustive record of all that Jesus said and did, which means there was a lot left out!(11) The gospels don’t record that Jesus condemned wife-beating or incest; does that make them OK? Furthermore, the remaining books of the New Testament are no less authoritative than the gospels. All scripture is inspired by God, not just the books with red letters in the text. Specific prohibitions against homosexual behavior in Romans 1:26-27 and 1 Corinthians 6:9, 10 are every bit as God-ordained as what is recorded in the gospels.

We do know, however, that Jesus spoke in specific terms about God’s created intent for human sexuality: “From the beginning of the creation God made them male and female. For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife; and the two shall be one flesh. . . What therefore God has joined together, let not man put asunder” (Matt. 19:4-6). God’s plan is holy heterosexuality, and Jesus spelled it out.

The Levitical laws against homosexual behavior are not valid today.
Leviticus 18:22 says, “Thou shalt not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; it is an abomination.” Gay theologians argue that the term “abomination” is generally associated with idolatry and the Canaanite religious practice of cult prostitution, and thus God did not prohibit the kind of homosexuality we see today.

Other sexual sins such as adultery and incest are also prohibited in the same chapters where the prohibitions against homosexuality are found. All sexual sin is forbidden by both Old and New Testament, completely apart from the Levitical codes, because it is a moral issue. It is true that we are not bound by the rules and rituals in Leviticus that marked Yahweh’s people by their separation from the world; however, the nature of sexual sin has not changed because immorality is an affront to the holiness and purity of God Himself. Just because most of Leviticus doesn’t apply to Christians today doesn’t mean none of it does.

The argument that the word “abomination” is connected with idolatry is well answered by examining Proverbs 6:16-19, which describes what else the Lord considers abominations: a proud look, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises evil imaginations, feet that are swift in running to mischief, a false witness that speaks lies, and a man who sows discord among brothers. Idolatry plays no part in these abominations. The argument doesn’t hold water.

If the practices in Leviticus 18 and 20 are condemned because of their association with idolatry, then it logically follows that they would be permissible if they were committed apart from idolatry. That would mean incest, adultery, bestiality, and child sacrifice (all of which are listed in these chapters) are only condemned when associated with idolatry; otherwise, they are allowable. No responsible reader of these passages would agree with such a premise.(12)

Calling Homosexuality a Sin Is Judging, and Judging Is a Sin.
Josh McDowell says that the most often-quoted Bible verse used to be John 3:16, but now that tolerance has become the ultimate virtue, the verse we hear quoted the most is “Judge not, lest ye be judged.” (Matt. 7:1) The person who calls homosexual activity wrong is called a bigot and a homophobe, and even those who don’t believe in the Bible can be heard to quote the “Judge not” verse.

When Jesus said “Do not judge, or you too will be judged,” the context makes it plain that He was talking about setting ourselves up as judge of another person, while blind to our own sinfulness as we point out another’s sin. There’s no doubt about it, there is a grievous amount of self-righteousness in the way the church treats those struggling with the temptations of homosexual longings. But there is a difference between agreeing with the standard of Scripture when it declares homosexuality wrong, and personally condemning an individual because of his sin. Agreeing with God about something isn’t necessarily judging.

InPlainSite.org Note: Contrary to popular beliefs.. the Bible makes some very straight forward statements about ‘judging’.

See “Judge Not”

Imagine I’m speeding down the highway, and I get pulled over by a police officer. He approaches my car and, after checking my license and registration, he says, “You broke the speed limit back there, ma’am.” Can you imagine a citizen indignantly leveling a politically correct charge at the officer: “Hey, you’re judging me! Judge not, lest ye be judged!’” The policeman is simply pointing out that I broke the law. He’s not judging my character, he’s comparing my behavior to the standard of the law. It’s not judging when we restate what God has said about His moral law, either. What is sin is to look down our noses at someone who falls into a different sin than we do. That’s judging.

The Romans 1 Passage on Homosexuality Does Not Describe True Homosexuals, but Heterosexuals Who Indulge in Homosexual

Behavior That Is Not Natural to Them.

Romans 1:26-27 says, “God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion.” Some gay theologians try to get around the clear prohibition against both gay and lesbian homosexuality by explaining that the real sin Paul is talking about here is straight people who indulge in homosexual acts, because it’s not natural to them. Homosexuality, they maintain, is not a sin for true homosexuals.

But there is nothing in this passage that suggests a distinction between “true” homosexuals and “false” ones. Paul describes the homosexual behavior itself as unnatural, regardless of who commits it. In fact, he chooses unusual words for men and women, Greek words that most emphasize the biology of being a male and a female. The behavior described in this passage is unnatural for males and females; sexual orientation isn’t the issue at all. He is saying that homosexuality is biologically unnatural; not just unnatural to heterosexuals, but unnatural to anyone.

Furthermore, Romans 1 describes men “inflamed with lust” for one another. This would hardly seem to indicate men who were straight by nature but experimenting with gay sex.(13) You really have to do some mental gymnastics to make Romans 1 anything other than what a plain reading leads us to understand all homosexual activity is sin.

Preaching Against Homosexuality Causes Gay Teenagers to Commit Suicide.
I received an e-mail from someone who assured me that the blood of gay teenagers was on my hands because saying that homosexuality is wrong makes people kill themselves. The belief that gay teenagers are at high risk for suicide is largely inspired by a 1989 report by a special federal task force on youth and suicide. This report stated three things; first, that gay and lesbian youths account for one third of all teenage suicides; second, that suicide is the leading cause of death among gay teenagers, and third, gay teens who commit suicide do so because of “internalized homophobia” and violence directed at them.(14) This report has been cited over and over in both gay and mainstream publications.

View Orthodoxy Today article exposing the deception inherent in Paul Gibson’s report.

San Francisco gay activist Paul Gibson wrote this report based on research so shoddy that when it was submitted to Dr. Louis Sullivan, the former Secretary of Health and Human Services, Dr. Sullivan officially distanced himself and his department from it.(15) The report’s numbers, both its data and its conclusions, are extremely questionable. Part of the report cites an author claiming that as many as 3,000 gay youths kill themselves each year. But that’s over a thousand more than the total number of teen suicides in the first place! Gibson exaggerated his numbers when he said that one third of all teen suicides are committed by gay youth. He got this figure by looking at gay surveys taken at drop-in centers for troubled teens, many of which were gay-oriented, which revealed that gay teens had two to four times the suicidal tendencies of straight kids. Gibson multiplied this higher figure by the disputed Kinsey figure of a 10% homosexual population to produce his figure that 30% of all youth suicides are gay. David Shaffer, a Columbia University psychiatrist who specializes in teen suicides, pored over this study and said, “I struggled for a long time over Gibson’s mathematics, but in the end, it seemed more hocus-pocus than math.”(15)

The report’s conclusions are contradicted by other, more credible reports. Researchers at the University of California-San Diego interviewed the survivors of 283 suicides for a 1986 study. 133 of those who died were under 30, and only 7 percent were gay and they were all over 21. In another study at Columbia University of 107 teenage boy suicides, only three were known to be gay, and two of those died in a suicide pact. When the Gallup organization interviewed almost 700 teenagers who knew a teen who had committed suicide, not one mentioned sexuality as part of the problem. Those who had come close to killing themselves mainly cited boy-girl problems or low self-esteem.(17)

Gibson didn’t use a heterosexual control group in his study. Conclusions and statistics are bound to be skewed without a control group. When psychiatrist David Shaffer examined the case histories of the gay teens who committed suicides in Gibson’s report, he found the same issues that straight kids wrestle with before suicide: “The stories were the same: a court appearance scheduled for the day of the death; prolonged depression; drug and alcohol problems; etc.”(18)

Dr. Davis Shaffer

That any teenager experiences so much pain that he takes his life is a tragedy, regardless of the reason. But it’s not fair to lay the responsibility for gay suicides, the few that there are, on those who agree with God that it’s wrong and harmful behavior.

Dr. Cass Answers Bible Twisting Homosexuals

Jesus Annoyed

In case you are unaware, homosexuals and homosexual apologists, are big on Biblical revisionism in order to justify their perversion to Christian critics. Dr. Gary L. Cass does an excellent job in exposing the deception of homosexuals that attempt to manipulate the Word of God.

There is one point in Dr. Cass’ essay that is weak that Christian-haters love to jump on. Dr. Cass utilizes the judgment of the Law in the Old Testament on what happens to homosexuals. The Law demands a penalty for sin. In the case of perverted homosexuals the penalty is death in the Old Testament.

Christians and the secular world find the Old Testament penalty for homosexuality to be unenlightened for the modern age. My answer for this is Galatians 3: 10-14 NKJV:

10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse; for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who does not continue in all things which are written in the book of the law, to do them.”[a] 11 But that no one is justified by the law in the sight of God is evident, for “the just shall live by faith.”[b] 12 Yet the law is not of faith, but “the man who does them shall live by them.”[c]

13 Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”[d]), 14 that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

Jesus’ Redemption is that no human need perish in the fires of hell. Christ takes on the curse/penalty of the Law that those that believe on Christ are free because of the Cross. The violence exacted on sinners in the Old Testament was receiving curse/penalty in order to satisfy Justice of broken Law. Thank God for the Redemptive Blood of Christ that expiates the curse of the Law.

The expiation is for those that believe and receive Christ in their heart as Lord and Savior. Without Redemption there is no expiation; however Grace in Christ gives humanity their last breath to repent. New Testament Christians do not string up homosexuals because of their choice of a sinful lifestyle. People who hear the Gospel have two choices: To choose Life in Christ or to choose death (the Second Death) apart from God. Judgment day is when the truth of what choice was made in this temporal life to decide one’s eternal fate.
