Yet Another Aspiring Apparatchik Exploits Norway’s 9/11

Axel Fjeld

I just read a great article at PJ Media (formerly Pajamas Media) rebutting a European Leftist crying Islamophobe. Bruce Bawer speculates Axel Fjeld is trying to use his academic prowess to make his bones to get a job working in some form of lucrative European Leftist media.

Unfortunately for Fjeld, Bawer shows the racist-Islamophobe accusations against Counterjihad writers is based on barefaced lies.

Yet Another Aspiring Apparatchik Exploits Norway’s 9/11

This year I was not going to write about 7/22, often known as Norway’s 9/11. It is the date in 2011 on which Anders Behring Breivik bombed government buildings in Oslo, killing eight people, and then gunned down sixty-nine more, mostly kids, on the nearby island of Utøya. Famously, Breivik wrote – or rather cobbled together – a massive “manifesto” consisting mainly of material from various sources that he had cut and pasted. Most of it was critical of Islam, and it was apparently meant as a justification for his actions. But none of the people whose work he borrowed had ever called for violence, let alone violence against children.

Nevertheless, after 7/22, the Norwegian left was quick to insist on a linkage between Breivik and serious critics of Islam, and to argue, moreover, that those critics needed to be silenced in order to avoid any more such atrocities. For a while there things got pretty dicey, with prominent academics, authors, and politicians demanding strict limits on freedom of speech and stiff prison penalties for anyone violating those limits. In one op-ed after another, I saw my name, and that of other writers, dragged through the mud. I ended up writing an e-book about it, The New Quislings.

Eventually it all died down. But every now and then the whole ugly business flares up again, especially when an anniversary of 7/22 rolls around. Ambitious young ideologues who are eager to kick off a career in politics, writing, media, or the public sector have discovered that a splendid way to do so is to join the pile-on. It’s easy enough to pull off: the point is not to soberly challenge the arguments made by critics of Islam, or to say any[t]hing [sic] remotely original, but to name-call – to smear them as Islamophobes, racists, and “Eurabia conspiracy theorists.” (I’ll explain that last one in a minute.)

Meet Axel Fjeld. On July 25, the newspaper Bergensavisen published a long essay by the thirty-year-old, who is studying for his master’s degree in philosophy. The essay was entitled “Is it possible to stop racism?” Its targets were the usual ones. For example, Hans Rustad, editor of document.no, which runs Islam-related news and commentary. Describing document.no as “Breivik’s old hunting grounds” (because he, like thousands of others, used to read it), Fjeld deplores the fact that Rustad has been invited to take part in debates in mainstream media. Similarly, he complains that Fritt Ord, a free-speech foundation, awarded a stipend to the Islam critic Peder Are Nøstvold Jensen, a.k.a. Fjordman, whom Fjeld smears as a “genocide ideologist.” In the same way, recycling a years-old leftist gripe, Fjeld rebukes a certain former Aftenposten editor for having actually had a kind word to say about my 2006 book While Europe Slept.

Fjeld would have his readers believe that Rustad, Jensen, and I are all racists. He doesn’t make any effort to prove that we are. In fact we are not. I am not a racist, and I have never read a remotely racist word either at document.no or in Jensen’s voluminous writings. Fjeld, then, is barefaced liar. But this is how all of these people operate. We have the facts on our side. They have no good arguments for their position. So all they can do is hurl slurs. Moreover, even as they avoid representing our opinions fairly and honestly, they pretend that we have nothing reasonable to offer, and that they, in fact, are the reasonable ones. And why should reasonable people have to “debate” unreasonable people? As Fjeld puts it: “When we are tempted to debate rationally against opinions that are not based on reason, we cannot achieve anything other than to legitimize the irrational as something that is worth discussing.”

Fjeld pronounces it “unbelievable” that the likes of Rustad, Jensen, and me should be given air time or op-ed space in the mainstream Norwegian media. After all, those same media would never “waste time ‘debating’ people who think that the world is flat.” So why, he asks, should they welcome the voices of people who claim “that ‘Muslims are invading Europe,’ ‘it’s only Muslims who rape,’ or ‘dark-skinned people are on average less intelligent than light-skinned people’”? Frankly, I’ve never seen anybody in Norway make the ridiculous assertion that only Muslims commit rape; nor have I witnessed a Norwegian discussion of race and I.Q. (although I’m not discounting the possibility that this thoroughly legitimate question has come up at some point).

As for Muslims “invading Europe” – well, for heaven’s sake, Muslims are pouring into the continent, and the consequences are grim. Deny the obvious reality all you want, but no-go zones, forced marriages, honor killings, female genital mutilation, and “grooming gangs” exist. Muslim gangs commit rapes and burn cars. Muslim women experience the same oppression in Europe that they did in the Old Country. Muslim immigrants are bankrupting welfare states, resulting in severe cuts to education, elder services, and health care. Islamic terrorism is not a fantasy. European presidents and prime ministers may continue to mouth trite nonsense about the joys of diversity, but their intelligence services are busy monitoring countless terrorist cells and working overtime to keep down the number of jihadist atrocities. Try as hard as you want to connect Breivik to Islam critics, but the fact remains that none of those critics have ever endorsed violence, while Islamic terrorists are doing exactly what the Koran tells them to.

For the likes of Fjeld, to discuss any of this honestly is to be a racist, and should be against the law. He explicitly rejects the notion of “the liberal marketplace of ideas” – the belief that it’s healthy to allow the expression of all views, because in the end the strongest argument will win. His own position is that exposing people to what he labels “hate” will only make them less resistant to it. Translation: to allow cogent dissent from the dominant red-green orthodoxy is to risk toppling that orthodoxy. It’s Soviet thinking, pure and simple.

Oh, about that “Eurabia conspiracy theorist” business. I don’t know how many people have written books criticizing the rise of Islam in the West, but there are quite a few of us from a range of backgrounds. I assume that most, like me, started writing about the topic because they were observing changes that they found unsettling. If so many writers with such diverse histories are disturbed by the same phenomena, surely that must mean that there is, indeed, something going on out there that merits concern? Years ago, Norwegian leftists came up with a handy way to dodge this question, maintaining that we Islam critics, far from being individuals articulating our own ideas, are, instead, lockstep adherents of a conspiracy theory cooked up by Bat Ye’or, author of the 2005 book Eurabia. Never mind that many of us (myself included) started writing about Islam before we’d even heard of Bat Ye’or; if you read about us in the Norwegian papers – and this includes Fjeld’s article – you will see us identified as “Eurabia writers,” lockstep adherents of the “Eurabia conspiracy theory,” the essence of which is that there is, indeed, such a thing as jihad.

Fjeld’s article, in short, is a load of bunk – and an unoriginal load of bunk, at that. In The New Quislings I examined a series of articles by different writers all of whom seemed to be working from exactly the same list of talking points. That doesn’t mean that Fjeld has wasted his time. On the contrary, he’s put his name on the map. He’s made it clear to the powers that be that he’s a good soldier. He’s got the party line down cold, and is willing to spit it out, every bit of it, shamelessly dishonest though it is. As long as he keeps this up, Fjeld, with a little bit of luck, will go straight from grad school into a nice, cushy job at NRK (the state-run TV network), or as a columnist for one of the taxpayer-subsidized mainstream newspapers, or as a writer-researcher at some government ministry, or as an administrator at some tony cultural institution. That’s how the careers of his equally cynical predecessors have gone, anyway, once they’ve taken the obligatory high-profile swipe at critics of Islam: they all end up being well-paid apparatchiks. It will be interesting to see exactly which path Fjeld takes.

Imran Firasat’s Journey and Mysterious Fate?

John R. Houk

© September 11, 2017

I came across a video with a sensationalist title sent from of all places I Support Israel: “Watch: Buddhist woman raped by sharia police in Pakistan as punishment for having a child”. Thank God the video does not actually show a woman being raped by Muslims.

The video is actually the Christian testimony and journey of Imran Firasat. Imran was born a Muslim in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. In adulthood he met a gal from Indonesia (Jenny Setiawan) was a Buddhist in Pakistan. I had to wonder why a Buddhist gal would be in Pakistan where some of the most vicious Muslims live who believe in violently protecting the Religion of Peace from non-Muslim religions and ideologies.

Here’s a mystery I have grown weary of searching to solve. I have had difficulty finding anything Imran Firasat. The latest post I could find is dated 5/2/16 found at Jan Sandviks blogg, but the information is only up to date to 2014. The mystery is Imran has disappeared from normal Internet searches for a guy like me that only knows how to use Google, Bing, Yahoo and a few less known search engines.

The I Support Israel website sent an alert of this Imran video on 9/10/17. The Youtube video itself is dated 6/14/14. I have no idea of the reason a Pro-Israel website showing a three-year-old video to garner support for a person that seems to have disappeared from the Internet.

I can tell you the reason I believe you should watch this video. The summary of Imran’s story which I began above, is this: A Muslim falls in-love with a non-Muslim from another nation other than Pakistan. Sharia prevents marriage so they cohabitate. A child is born of the relationship in Pakistan. Pakistan’s Sharia police show up at the door and rape the mother of his child because she is a non-Muslim living with a Muslim. The incident challenges Imran’s belief in Islam. He eventually becomes an atheist. For safety, they move to Spain. Imran eventually converts to Christianity and becomes a Counterjihad writer. Spain exercise its idiotic Multiculturalist hate speech laws which always exonerates Islam of hate speech and convicts the critics of hate speech against Islam. Spain moves to deport Imran. Imran tries Norway. Norway doesn’t want him for the same reasons Spain wants to deport Imran back to Pakistan. A deportation back to Pakistan would be a death sentence for breaking the Islamic Republic’s Blasphemy Law. I probably left out some details but I think you get the gist of what happens to an ex-Muslim refugee in Europe and in the Muslim world.

The reason then for watching this video: to understand Islam and the idiocy of the West’s Multiculturalist Left to emphasize diversity over Western Culture that will lead to the West’s destruction.

ERGO, here’s the Youtube Channel’s version of Imran’s journey from 2014:

Muslim Invasion Killing Norway & Sweden

Could Multiculturalism bring the Same Invasion to the USA?

John R. Houk

© July 27, 2017

I found a Fjordman essay at the Gatestone Institute. Fjordman writes about how the influx of Muslim refugees/immigrants into Norway and Sweden will soon relegate the original cultural inhabitants into a subordinate minority.

I am American. My guess is that a majority of my readers are Americans. Followed by a minority of Europeans that read or speak English that read American writings because they might be weary of Islam marginalizing their culture. Those Europeans probably read Americans because European Union (EU) rule of law will go after people speaking or writing the truth about Islam. Apparently defending your own culture is a hate-crime in Europe.

If you are an American, why should care about the inundation of Muslims overtaking Norwegian and Swedish culture? BECAUSE if Crooked Hillary had won the election in 2016, you could count on an inundation of Muslims bring their Islamic Supremacist culture to the USA in the name of Dem Party promoted Multicultural Diversity.

Multiculturalism is destroying Norway and Sweden as a Western Culture, followed closely by the rest of Europe. DO YOU as an American want to throw E Pluribus Unum – Out of many, One – out? Multiculturalism throws the concept of the melting out and replaces it with a divided pot of foreign cultures vying for dominance. Vying multiple cultures essentially destroys American unity.

If you toss an Islamic Culture into the concept of Leftist Multiculturalism, it is self-destructive. Especially Islam’s rejection of any culture or thought that is not Islamic as an evil to be destroyed. What do you think happens to the American melting pot with Western-hating Islam?

Americans need to think of the answer to that question as they read Fjordman’s on Muslim immigration overrunning Norway and Sweden.

Norway’s Political Elites Cheer for Islam

By Fjordman

July 25, 2017 at 4:00 am

Gatestone Institute

  • If current levels of immigration continue, native Norwegians will be a minority in their own country within a few decades. In some parts of inner city Oslo, they are already a minority.

  • Ethnic Norwegians living in these areas are called “infidel whore.” Many feel as if they are strangers in what once was their own country. Yet the politicians and mass media are not interested. The ruling elites are far more interested in cases of alleged “Islamophobia” or “white racism.”

  • A report commissioned by the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency (MSB) suggested in early 2017 that the Muslim Brotherhood is secretly leading Islamic groups in building a parallel society in Sweden by infiltrating organizations and political parties in the country.

Ramadan is supposed to be an Islamic holy month of fasting. In reality, as one is thought to be doubly rewarded in paradise for deeds “fighting corruption” during Ramadan, it is a month of “jihad and victories.”

It therefore nearly always leads to an increase in jihad violence in different parts of the world.

Breitbart News counted at least 1,620 people killed by militant Muslims during Ramadan in 2017. Most of these were killed in Muslim-majority countries. However, deadly Islamic terrorist attacks also hit Western cities such as London.

When dealing with Muslim terror, it can be useful to separate it into two different, categories: Big Terror and Little Terror. Big Terror includes mass casualty attacks such as suicide bombings. Little Terror includes other forms of violence and harassment, such as torching cars, that have a negative impact on daily life. Both forms of terror are intended to spread fear.

France suffers from tens of thousands of car fires every year. Sweden, which has the highest number of Muslim immigrants in Scandinavia, also has the highest number of car fires. In the Muslim-dominated Swedish city of Malmö, cars are now torched on a nearly daily basis.

In June 2017 during Ramadan, dozens of instances of wheel-tampering were reported in different police districts in Denmark. In all cases, the lug nuts that secure the wheels of a car had been loosened. One motorist was driving along when he heard an odd noise. Shortly afterward, his left front wheel appeared in front of the car and rolled off into a field. The car ended up in a ditch; the man, in a hospital. The police have so far been unable to find the perpetrators. They have been advising all motorists thoroughly to check their lug nuts before starting their car.

In June 2017, Oslo, Norway, experienced a significant number of car fires within a few weeks. Officially, the police claimed they could see no connection between these fires, which spiked during Ramadan and mainly took place in Muslim-dominated areas. Anonymous sources claimed that a group of young immigrant men – who had apparently been complicit in the burnings — had shouted: “We’re going to make Malmö!”

If current levels of immigration continue, native Norwegians will be a minority in their own country within a few decades. In some parts of inner-city Oslo, they are already a minority. The author Halvor Fosli, in 2015, published a book in which he interviewed ethnic Norwegians living in those areas. They are called “infidel whore.” Many feel as if they are strangers in what once was their own country. Yet the politicians and mass media are not interested. The ruling elites are far more interested in cases of alleged “Islamophobia” or “white racism.”

Erna Solberg, Norway’s supposedly conservative Prime Minister, has long been known for her positive views of Islam and mass immigration. As PM, she has repeatedly warned against Islamophobia and Christian “racism” against Muslims. In 2011, then as leader of the major opposition party, Solberg stated that Muslims in Europe are now being harassed just as Jews were in the 1930s, during the rise of Nazism.

On June 25, 2017, an estimated 8,000 Muslims celebrated Eid al-Fitr, the end of Ramadan, in a major sports arena and concert hall in Oslo. Prime Minister Erna Solberg attended. She made some comments about creating a sense of community, and warned against anti-Muslim forces and others trying to divide people. According to national media, many of the Muslims treated the Prime Minister as if she were a “superstar.”

Oslo, Norway. (Image source: Helge Høifødt/Wikimedia Commons)

Cemal Knudsen Yucel, from the organization Ex-Muslims of Norway, said he was sad to see politicians and media promote Islam and Islamic values on television yet again. As a former Muslim, he has never experienced this kind of celebration in his Muslim home country. There, Eid al-Fitr is normally celebrated with your family, not at a stadium with thousands of people. In his view, this shows how effectively Islam builds power in the society in which it operates. A country’s senior political leader attending a gathering of thousands of Muslims in the nation’s capital city, can only elevate Islam’s status and prominence in society.

The Islam-friendly newspaper Aftenposten writes that the Rabita Mosque was a co-organizer of this big Islamic party, attended not only by the Prime Minister but also the national media. The Rabita Mosque in Oslo has for years been involved in highly controversial activities, as pointed out by the author Hege Storhaug. The mosque has been visited by well-known jihadists and its leaders are suspected of having ties to the Muslim Brotherhood, an international Islamist organization with the motto:

“Allah is our objective; the Prophet is our leader; the Quran is our law; Jihad is our way; dying in the way of Allah is our highest hope.”

A report commissioned by the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency (MSB) suggested in early 2017 that the Muslim Brotherhood is secretly leading Islamic groups in building a parallel society in Sweden by infiltrating organizations and political parties in the country.

The Muslim Brotherhood, in the 1930s and 1940s, enjoyed friendly ties with Adolf Hitler and the Nazis. Sheikh Yusuf al-Qaradawi, one of its foremost spokesmen today, has stated that Allah sent Hitler to punish the Jews, and indicated that the next genocide of Jews will be at the hands of Muslims. Qaradawi, a leading advocate of suicide-bombing, has also bragged that Muslims will conquer Europe.

Since its founding in Egypt in 1928 by Hassan Al Banna, the Muslim Brotherhood has for generations been involved in fostering those who would promote its expansionist goals. Jihadists and Islamic terrorists who have been members include Sayyid Qutb, Abdullah Azzam, Ayman al-Zawahiri, leader of the Al-Qaeda terrorist network after Osama bin Laden, and Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the self-proclaimed caliph of the Islamic State (IS or ISIS).

That a mosque with suspected links to such an organization arranged a major event in Oslo — and was applauded by the country’s head of state — is frightening. While a totalitarian Iron Burka of sharia, jihad, terror, and violence is descending on Europe, many Western leaders and members of the media welcome it, embrace it and claim it enriches our society.

Prime Minister Solberg’s main political rival, Social Democratic party leader Jonas Gahr Støre, is possibly even more smitten than she is. In 2008, the Norwegian government sponsored dialogue talks in Oslo with members of the Muslim Brotherhood in the Middle East. Støre, from the Labor Party, was then foreign minister. The prime minister at the time, Jens Stoltenberg, is now leader of the Western defense alliance NATO.

The Muslim Brotherhood, which also has ties to, among other groups, the extremely brutal Palestinian terrorist organization Hamas, in 2007 made Norway, under the left-wing Stoltenberg government, the first Western country to “normalize” its relationship with Hamas. AUF, the youth organization of the Norwegian Labor Party, the labor unions (LO) and its coalition partner, the Socialist Left Party, also advocated for this affiliation.

The policy of normalizing ties with Hamas was widely applauded by many Norwegian mass media and left-wing activists in 2007. The major Oslo-based newspaper Aftenposten praised it as a “wise” move. When this author strongly objected to cooperating with terrorists, the Norwegian media and left-wing activists, few years later, accused me of encouraging terrorism.

Raymond Johansen in 2007 had friendly public meetings on behalf of the Norwegian government with the Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh. In 2011, Haniyeh praised the global terrorist leader Osama bin Laden as “an Arab holy warrior.” In 2017, Ismail Haniyeh was chosen to be the new overall leader of Hamas. The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) then called him a “pragmatist.” Between 2009 and 2015, Johansen was the Party Secretary of the Labor Party, Norway’s largest political party for nearly a century. In 2014, he warned in the state broadcaster NRK against the “Fascist” movements now threatening Europe. Did he mean the Muslim Brotherhood or other Islamic organizations who threaten artists and authors? No, comically, Johansen mentioned just me, personally, by name, as a dangerous “extremist” who needs to be confronted. Nobody else. Just me.

Raymond Johansen, currently serving as the Governing Mayor of Oslo, has stated that an attack on Muslims is an attack on him. The vast majority of Muslim immigrants vote for the Labor Party or other left-wing parties. Mullah Krekar, a radical Muslim and “refugee” notorious for publicly praising Islamic terrorists and jihadist massacres, has advised Muslims in Norway to vote for Labor or other Socialist parties.

The deputy leader of the Norwegian Labor Party is a Muslim woman from a family of Pakistani immigrants. The leader Jonas Gahr Støre, as Foreign Minister, held talks by telephone with the Islamic terrorist leader Khaled Mashaal from Hamas. In a book published in 2014, Støre criticized “Islamophobes” again, including this author.

On September 11, 2017, Norway will have parliamentary elections. The voters have a realistic choice between two Prime Ministers: Erna Solberg or Jonas Gahr Støre. Both are Islam-friendly, anti-national globalists and multiculturalists who promote mass immigration. Other European countries such as Germany are in a similar situation: virtually all the establishment political parties are promoting more immigration and more Islam.

Fjordman, a Norwegian historian, is an expert on Europe, Islam and multiculturalism.

Brexit and Norway: What to Avoid

NINTCHDBPICT000246785102

The pseudonymous writer Fjordman had his identity outed because the crazy mass-murderer Anders Breivik admired and cherry-picked Fjordman’s writings. Breivik’s admiration led the Norwegian authorities to accuse the famous counterjihadist as an accomplice by association. Of course Fjordman was exonerated of all suspicion much to the contempt of all European Leftist Multiculturalists. The Multiculturalists had cast so much disdain onto Fjordman that he fled his homeland Norway over death threats for a while. That was a while ago so I am uncertain of his current living conditions. HOWEVER, I am quite pleased he is still writing.

I found a recent Fjordman essay at the Gatestone Institute. The essay analyzes the choices the UK faces after Brexit and lists Norway and Switzerland’s non-EU membership as horrible models to follow.

Brexit and Norway: What to Avoid

By Fjordman

September 15, 2016 at 4:00 am

Gatestone Institute

  • “[Britain wants] to be like Switzerland but they don’t know that Switzerland has to pay an enormous amount to the EU… They will have to accept the free movement of people and pay high fees and accept some laws which they would have no influence on.” — Daniel Pedroletti, president of the Swiss community group New Helvetic Society London.

  • Norway is the only country that has adopted all EU directives before their deadline. Norway, which is supposedly not a member of the EU, thus implements EU rules and regulations more obediently than do the founding members France, Germany, Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg.

  • Most of Norway’s laws are currently written by bureaucrats in Brussels, not by elected parliamentarians in Norway.

  • The citizens of Norway rejected membership in the EU, twice. Opinion polls today show that a very large majority of Norwegians are against membership in the EU. Despite this, the nation’s politicians have made the country more or less a member of the EU, only without any influence or voting rights — in opposition to the popular will, and possibly also in violation of the country’s Constitution.

  • The British should study the case of Norway closely. But mainly as a negative example of what to avoid.

On June 23, 2016, 51.9% of the voters in the United Kingdom voted for leaving the European Union (EU). The turnout was high, and the British referendum gained great international attention. Marine Le Pen, leader of France’s National Front, praised the result, calling Brexit “the most important moment since the fall of the Berlin Wall.” Le Pen said that if she wins France’s 2017 presidential election she would call a referendum on leaving the EU.

Nigel Farage stepped down as leader of the UK Independence Party (UKIP) shortly after winning the historic vote. Many death threats against him and his family from supporters of the EU reportedly affected his decision.

The complicated divorce process between the UK and the EU could take years of negotiations. Some people have looked to Switzerland and Norway, two of the wealthiest countries in Europe, as possible models to follow, yet both maintain a close cooperation with the EU. There are also concerns in Switzerland and Norway about how Brexit will impact their own relationship with the EU.

Daniel Pedroletti, president of the Swiss community group New Helvetic Society London, says there is “a big misunderstanding” in Britain surrounding Switzerland’s position:

“They want to be like Switzerland but they don’t know that Switzerland has to pay an enormous amount to the EU and accept the laws without being an influence [on them].

“They don’t realize that if they want a similar agreement they will have to accept the free movement of people and pay high fees and accept some laws which they would have no influence on.”

Though not a full member of the EU, Switzerland has over 120 bilateral agreements in place with the bloc — its main trading partner.

Nigel Farage does not want Britain to emulate Norway’s deal with the EU. It is terrible, he says. The Norwegian people rejected membership in the EU. Yet the Norwegian Parliament (Stortinget) has “deceived the people” and got Norway into a very bad agreement with the EU, according to Farage.

Norwegians voted against joining the European Community/European Union twice, in 1972 and in 1994. After the 1994 referendum, the country’s political leaders designed a close association deal with the EU. This is the EEA Agreement, known as the EØS Agreement in Norwegian. This does not cover common agriculture and fisheries policies. Control over natural resources is sensitive in a country with a long coastline plus major offshore deposits of oil and natural gas. Yet apart from a few such exceptions, Norway in reality became an associate member of the EU after 1994. EEA membership requires the free movement of persons, services, goods and capital with the EU. Norway is also a part of the open-borders Schengen Agreement, which has severely weakened checking migrants and asylum seekers across much of Europe.

Statistics from 2016 show that of all the 31 countries in the EU and the European Economic Area (EEA), Norway is the only country that has adopted all EU directives before their deadline. Norway retained its top position for the third year in a row. Its two fellow EEA countries, Iceland and Liechtenstein, were the worst at implementing directives. Norway, which is supposedly not a member of the EU, thus implements EU rules and regulations more obediently than do the founding members France, Germany, Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg. This may surprise people who view Norway’s relationship with the EU as something to emulate.

Most of Norway’s laws are currently written by bureaucrats in Brussels, not by elected parliamentarians in Norway. Some scholars warn that the transfer of power to the EU is so great that it violates Norway’s Constitution and seriously undermines the democratic system.

In June 2016, the Norwegian Parliament voted overwhelmingly to attach the nation to the EU’s financial supervision. Critics decried this as the “biggest concession of sovereignty” in many years. With a vote of 136 in favor and 29 against, Parliament approved a bill that would tie Norway’s regulation of financial and insurance institutions to EU rules. Center Party leader Trygve Slagsvold Vedum opposed the bill and warned that it was “a circumvention of the Constitution.” The group “No to the EU” stated that Parliament had gone directly against the will of the people by weakening national sovereignty. An opinion poll showed just 26 percent of Norwegians supported the plan to tie Norway to the EU’s financial oversight.

The citizens of Norway have rejected membership in the EU, twice. Public opinion has been consistently against membership for decades. Opinion polls today show that a very large majority of Norwegians are against membership in the EU. Despite this, the nation’s politicians have made the country more or less a member of the EU, only without any influence or voting rights. The politicians have done this in opposition to the popular will, and possibly also in violation of the country’s Constitution.

Britain is a larger country with a much bigger economy than Norway. This will give it a stronger position in negotiations with the EU and others. However, it would be a mistake not to learn from the experiences of other nations. When shaping their future relationship with the EU, the British should study the case of Norway closely. But mainly as a negative example of what to avoid.

Yurki1000 posted a comment to a video created by Mark Charles Hardie which a calls a “…message to people of faith”. I have posted my doubts on the sincerity of Mr. Hardie who is running (according to him) simultaneously for the Senate seat in California and POTUS in 2016. Those two posts:

o Justifying Homosexuality with ‘Love your Enemies’?

o Deceiving Christians

I still consider Mr. Hardie an inauthentic schmoozer. In his video he speaks in Hebrew then translate it himself. It sounds good but I do have reservations about Mr. Hardie’s character.

I am cross posting Yurki1000’s comment because it is supportive of Israel and takes a timely swipe at European Antisemitism in which Yurki uses Norway as an example. Yurki alludes that Norway is becoming a state sponsor of Antisemitism particularly through that nation’s support for creating a Palestinian State from land Promised by God Almighty to the line of descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. That would eliminate the validity of Muslim Jew-hating Arabs that call themselves Palestinians.

Yurki’s comment did not have a title so I arbitrarily gave it one. I used some Editorial liberty to place two explanatory quotes within Yurki’s comment.

This website makes clear the message in the Bible that those who bless Israel will be blessed, and those who curse Israel will be cursed. It gives historical proof of this spiritual principle with some historical facts applying to both individuals and nations, and then gives some links with opportunities for each of us to bless Israel. – The Palestinians must have their own state, the occupation must end, the wall must be demolished and it must happen now, said the Foreign Minister to cheers from the audience. Earlier this week, when Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas visited Norway, the Minister said to TV 2 news channel that Norway stands ready to recognize a Palestinian state. This he repeated during the debate on Utøya.

– We are ready to recognize a Palestinian state. I await the actual resolution text Palestinians will promote the UN General Assembly in September, said the Minister. In fact, a picture taken by Reuters during the foreign minister’s visit shows one youth holding up a sign saying “boycott Israel” in Norwegian.

We‘re also learning that Norway’s position on Israel and Palestine may not be surprising giving its ties to socialism, especially the Labor Party and AUF.

For starters, AUF is affiliated with the group called the Young European Socialists (ECOSY). Understandably, ECOSY posted a condolence message to AUF — which populated the island camp — on its website. That message was also signed by members of the International Union of Socialist Youth (IUSY) and referred to the AUF youths as “comrades:” < (Norwegian campsite Utoya was socialist and anti-Israel; Posted by Radiopatriot; Radio Patriot; 7/23/11)

When the heart cries only God hears
the pain rises out of the soul
a man falls down before he sinks down
with a little prayer (he) cuts the silence

Hear Israel my God, you’re the omnipotent
you gave me my life, you gave me everything
in my eyes a tear, the heart cries quietly
and when the heart is quiet, the soul screams
Hear Israel my God, now I am alone
strengthen me my God; make it that I won’t fear
the pain is big, and there’s no where to run away
make it end, for no more strength is left within me

When the heart cries, time stands still

he doesn’t want to go to the unknown
he cries to his God right before a big fall (HEAR ISRAEL / HEAR MY GOD; HebrewSongs.org)

TEN YEAR ANNIVERSARY FOR FJORDMAN, FIRST BLOG POST PUBLISHED TODAY

West-Islam civ clash

As a blogger I am huge fan and very appreciative of the Norwegian essayist that still posts under the pseudonym Fjordman. In saying that I was very gratified to come across a tribute to Fjordman’s posts of his first essays on a tenth anniversary of the first post at his long unused blog (perhaps not online anymore – I haven’t checked). The tribute was posted on February 20, 2015 on the blog Tundra Tabloids.

Update: As I was Googling Fjordman for this post I ran into a Gates of Vienna post written by Fjordman himself talking about this 10th anniversary of his first blog post. I will include that post after the Tundra Tabloids cross post.

TEN YEAR ANNIVERSARY FOR FJORDMAN, FIRST BLOG POST PUBLISHED TODAY

By KGS

In honor of Fjordman’s ten year anniversary, I republish the first ever blogpost under the name of Fjordman. Sadly, his first ever post could have been penned today with just a few subtle changes. It’s largely through Fjordman’s excellent essays that many of us came to know places such as Malmö, Sweden, or about Muslim rape statistics and government indifference to them and to daily plight of the citizens of the countries that they are sworn to protect.

We owe much to this man who has asked from us so little, who no longer is able to call his home country ‘home’ because of the demonization of his character by the Norwegian political power structure, its media, academy and politicians. Fjordman has had to pay a high political price for his justified views, which is all the more galling, seeing that the politicial (sic) iron triangle just mentioned, still insists that anti-Western Islam is not the problem, only those (like Fjordman) who dare point out how wrong that assumption is.

Muslim Rape Epidemic in Sweden and Norway – Authorities Look the Other Way

Numbers released in January 2005 indicate a sharp rise in the number of rape charges in Malmö, Sweden’s third largest city:

Thomas Anderberg, responsible for statistics at the Malmö Police, says there was a doubling of the number of reported rapes by ambush in 2004, following what was already a decade of steadily increasing numbers of sexual crimes. – I think that’s great news, says Anna Gustafsson, head of the Domestic Violence Unit at the Malmö Police. She suggests that the increase is due to the fact that women who otherwise wouldn’t press charges for rape now choose to contact the police.

In other words, Gustafsson claims that we are dealing with a “technical” increase, not a real one. However, national statistics reveal that reported rapes against children have almost doubled in Sweden during the past ten years:

According to Swedish Radio on Tuesday, statistics from Sweden’s National Council for Crime Prevention show that the number of reported rapes against children is on the rise. The figures have nearly doubled in the last ten years: 467 rapes against children under the age of 15 were reported in 2004 compared with 258 in 1995. Legal proceedings continue this week in a case involving a 13 year old girl from Motala who was said to have been subjected to a group rape by four men. (Note: These four men were Kurdish Muslims, who raped the girl for hours and even took photos of doing so)

The number of rape charges per capita in Malmö is 5 – 6 times that of Copenhagen, Denmark. Copenhagen is a larger city, but the percentage of immigrants is much lower. And it’s not just the rape statistics that reveal a scary increase in Malmö or Sweden. Virtually every kind of violent crime is on the rise. Robberies have increased with 50 % in Malmö only during the fall of 2004. Threats against witnesses in Swedish court cases have quadrupled between 2000 and 2003. During the past few decades, massive immigration has changed the face of Sweden’s major cities, as well as challenged the viability of the welfare state. In 1970 Sweden had the fourth highest GDP per capita among developed countries with income about 6% above the OECD average. By 1997 it was at fifteenth place with an average GDP per capita 14% below average. Malmö has a heavy concentration of Muslim immigrants in particular. According to some estimates, it will be a Muslim majority city in no more than 10 years. Crime is rampant in the growing ghettos:

Becirov runs the Islamic Center of Malmö, on the outskirts of Sweden’s third-largest city. Some immigrant neighborhoods in the city have (official) unemployment rates exceeding 50 percent. Swedish authorities have failed to lift up the area, and seem to be giving the Islamic Center of Malmö a great deal of leeway in attempting to do so. An article that appeared in 2003 noted that “a few” of the 6-to 10-year-old girls were wearing headscarves. On a visit in January 2005, fully 80 percent were covered in class–only a handful were not. In a fit of absent-mindedness, Sweden has suddenly become as heavily populated by minorities as any country in Europe. The percentage of foreign-born is roughly equivalent to the highest percentage of immigrants the United States ever had in its history (on the eve of World War I). Rosengård appears to be all-immigrant. The public schools have virtually no ethnically Swedish children. There are stories–familiar in other parts of Europe where immigrants from the Muslim world have recently settled–of students harassing Jewish teachers and defacing textbooks that treat Jewish themes. Crime is high.

Is it unfair and “racist” to suggest a link between the influx of Muslim immigrants and the growing number of rapes? Not if we compare with the situation in neighboring Denmark, where this trend has been evident for years:

If one leading expert is to be believed, the sharp rise in the number of rapes in this over the last 5 years is largely attributable to a group of unemployed and alienated immigrants. ‘Over the last 5-10 years there has an increasing tendency to marginalise and alienate immigrants,’ says Professor Flemming Balvig, a criminologist at Copenhagen University. ‘As a result, many second generation immigrants have reacted against this through various types of criminal activity, including rape.’

Alarmed at last week’s police statistics, which revealed that in 68% of all rapes committed this year the perpetrator was from an ethnic minority, leading Muslim organisations have now formed an alliance to fight the ever-growing problem of young second and third-generation immigrants involved in rape cases against young Danish girls.

As Robert Spencer has demonstrated, rape can indeed be linked to Islamic teachings of Jihad, and even to the example of Muhammad himself, his Sunna. Above all, it is connected to Islamic notions of the role of women in society, and their behaviour in the public sphere. An Islamic Mufti in Copenhagen sparked a political outcry after publicly declaring that women who refuse to wear headscarves are “asking for rape.” Apparently, he isn’t the only Muslim in Europe to think this way:

The German journalist Udo Ulfkotte told in a recent interview that in Holland, you can now see examples of young, unveiled Moroccan women with a so-called “smiley”. It means that the girl gets one side of her face cut up from mouth to ear, serving as a warning to other Muslim girls who should refuse to wear the veil. In the Muslim suburb of Courneuve, France, 77 per cent of the veiled women carry veils reportedly because of fear of being harassed or molested by Islamic moral patrols.

Hijab, the Islamic veil, is thus not “just a piece of cloth”. It serves as a demarcation line between proper, submissive Muslim women and whores, un-Islamic women who deserve no respect and are asking for rape. The veil should more properly be viewed as the uniform of a Totalitarian movement, and a signal to attack those outside the movement. Judged in the light of the Mufti who said that women who don’t wear it are asking for rape, how on earth can the veil be said to be about “choice”? The freedom to choose not to be raped if you dress in a normal fashion in your own country? Is that what freedom is about in Europe in 2005?

Even though Sweden, unlike Denmark, has almost no public debate about immigration, frustration is very much present underneath the surface. 75 % of Swedes think that many people in their country “dislike” Muslims, more than in any other European nation surveyed. Even in Holland, which recently witnessed violent clashes with Muslims after the murder of Islam-critic Theo van Gogh, the rate is lower than in Sweden. But you’re not supposed to talk about such issues in Sweden. That would be “racist”:

Swedish laws prohibiting “hate speech” against racial minorities have been vigorously enforced. There have, for example, been a number of gang-rapes of Swedish women by Muslim immigrants. But Swedes must be careful what they say about them. On May 25, neo-Nazi Bjorn Bjorkqvist was convicted and sentenced to two months in prison for writing, “I don’t think I am alone in feeling sick when reading about how Swedish girls are raped by immigrant hordes.” [“Jag tror inte jag är ensam om att må dåligt när jag läser om hur svenska tjejer har våldtagits av invandrarhorder”]

All in all, we must say that there is strong circumstantial evidence indicating that the rise in rape charges in the city of Malmö could very well be real, which puts the Malmö Police assertion that this is “great news” in a rather curious light. And the problem is not just limited to Sweden. It exists in Norway, too:

Rape charges in the capital are spiraling upwards, 40 percent higher from 1999 to 2000 and up 13 percent so far this year. Police Inspector Gunnar Larsen of Oslo’s Vice, Robbery and Violent crime division says the statistics are surprising – the rising number of rape cases and the link to ethnic background are both clear trends. But Larsen does not want to speculate on the reasons behind the worrying developments. While 65 percent of those charged with rape are classed as coming from a non-western background, this segment makes up only 14.3 percent of Oslo’s population. Norwegian women were the victims in 80 percent of the cases, with 20 percent being women of foreign background.

An incredibly revealing article that tells us all we need to know about the multiculturalist fetish in Europe and some parts of North America, not to mention the need for change within Islam. Apparently, the Norwegian newspaper Dagbladet reported that 65 percent of rapes of Norwegian women were performed by “non-Western” immigrants – a category that, in Norway, consists mostly of Muslims. The article quoted a professor of social anthropology at the University of Oslo (note: her name is Unni Wikan) as saying that “Norwegian women must take their share of responsibility for these rapes” because Muslim men found their manner of dress provocative. The professor’s conclusion was not that Muslim men living in the West needed to adjust to Western norms, but the exact opposite: “Norwegian women must realize that we live in a multicultural society and adapt themselves to it.”

In January 2005, Norwegian media reported that 2004 saw the highest number or rape charges ever recorded in the capital city of Oslo. Strangely enough, there was now no mentioning of how immigrants were grossly overrepresented in rape cases. Why not? Unless there has been a sudden and unexplained drop in the number of immigrants raping Norwegian women between 2001 and 2004, which is unlikely, the statistics should be at least as staggering in 2005 as they were before. If they are not revealed, it can only mean that “somebody” didn’t like the numbers presented in 2001, and decided to bury them. That “somebody” must be a person at the very top level in the police, maybe even in the government. If so, that is disquieting. What is even more disquieting is that the media are equally silent about this. How come no journalists are digging into the material? And where are all the professional Feminists, in a Scandinavian nation brimming with them?

The conclusion one may draw from this is that the authorities in Sweden and Norway know about, or should know about, a disturbing amount of Muslim immigrant rapes of native Scandinavian women, yet choose not to make this information known to the public. Perhaps it would be just too politically incorrect to reveal the negative effects of decades of naïve immigration policies. Perhaps it would also destroy too many multicultural pipe dreams among the intellectual elites, who have built their current careers and reputations on advocating how culturally and economically enriching this new population mix would be. So in the end, the safety of young Scandinavian women is sacrificed in order to keep the glossy image of a multicultural society intact. It is a chilling demonstration of an Eurabian continent that now appears to care more about not upsetting relations with its immigrant population than about protecting its own citizens.

Ten Years On

By Fjordman
February 20 2015

If you appreciate this essay by Fjordman, please consider making a donation to him, using the button at the bottom of this post.

Today, February 20 2015, is exactly ten years since the first time I published an essay under the pen name Fjordman. Time flies. I had been active on the Internet for several years before that date, but I did not have my own website. I did not imagine that I would still be writing so many years later. Yet here I am.

The first essay I published as Fjordman was about the very high number of rapes in Sweden, and how this may be tied to mass immigration. I no longer write about this subject as much as before, but the number of rapes in Sweden is at least as high ten years later.

I was among the first to discuss in English the problems caused by Muslim immigration in Malmö, Sweden’s third largest city. I was often accused of exaggerating or making things up. Meanwhile, Malmö has evolved from stabbings to car bombings. Unfortunately, many of the problems I deal with in my essays have worsened, all over the Western world.

My first blog post got quite a few comments and thousands of readers. That is because it was linked to by Little Green Footballs (LGF). It is hard to believe now, but when I launched my Fjordman blog in February 2005, I got a lot of help from LGF. Back then, Charles Johnson’s LGF was still a large and relevant website. It helped point readers to myself, Gates of Vienna and many other writers such as Robert Spencer and Pamela Geller.

I recently visited LGF, which I had not done for a very long time. Charles Johnson still posts. On Google, he is now called a “political blogger, center-left provocateur.”

Those who have followed my writings since the beginning will recall that the period of the LGF Wars was one of the nastiest events I experienced as Fjordman (until Mr. Breivik showed up). That was when Charles Johnson decided to suddenly switch sides and attack all of his former allies in the nastiest and most dishonest manner possible.

In hindsight, we clearly won this conflict. Today, Mr. Johnson is completely irrelevant, whereas I, Gates of Vienna — and for that matter Robert Spencer at Jihad Watch — are still publishing and actually being read.

The moral? Have patience, and continue stating what you believe to be true based on factual evidence. This will not always be pleasant in the short run, but it will eventually pay off.

Looking back, my view is that the most positive development that has taken place over the last decade is that awareness about the Islamic threat among the general public is now much greater than it was some years ago.

Unfortunately, this knowledge still has not led to any significant change in policy among Western ruling elites. They continue to promote mass immigration and open borders, no matter how many terror attacks occur or how much insecurity our societies suffer from. U.S. President Barack Hussein Obama is arguably an even worse appeaser of Islamic aggression today than he used to be seven years ago. Alternatively, perhaps he is just showing his true colors, since he does not have to worry about being reelected anymore.

Furthermore, the darkness represented by Islamic sharia and Jihadist barbarism is spreading and deepening. That is a sad fact. One only has to look at the videos of mass beheadings produced by the self-proclaimed Islamic State (ISIS) in the Middle East to realize this. These videos are now watched with great enthusiasm by militant Muslims in cities across the Western world.

I did not know the film director Theo van Gogh when he was murdered by a militant Muslim in the streets of Amsterdam in 2004. More recently, however, Muslim terrorists have been targeting people whom I know and have met multiple times, also in Scandinavia. Since 2005, I have joined the rapidly growing number of people in Western Europe who can no longer have a publicly listed address or telephone number. The threat seems to be getting closer every year. It is no longer abstract.

I have experienced many ups and downs over the past decade. Needless to say, being dragged into the events caused by the deranged mass murderer Anders Behring Breivik in 2011 easily constitutes the low point of my adult life so far. I was forced to evacuate my home and go into forced exile from Norway due to the extremely negative and largely baseless media exposure I received because of this case and Breivik’s so-called manifesto. The weeks after the deadly July 22 attacks is the only time that I have ever seriously considered giving up writing. After a while, I decided to continue. Yes, I lost the protection of a pen name. However, many people write under their real names, even if they face harassment for it. I see no reason to do less than they do.

The most positive thing that has happened to me in the past decade has to be all of the wonderful people I have met. This may sound like a terrible cliché, but I really have been blessed to meet many courageous, funny, smart and wonderful individuals while doing this work. They are one of my main sources of inspirations to keep on going. I am eternally grateful for their company.

Norwegian Bjorn Jansen Gets Islam Ideology

Björn Jansen. 4-30-2014

Bjorn Jansen

John R. Houk
© January 24, 2015

Today the Gatestone Institute sent an email update with three essays on it. The first is by Bjorn Jansen and the second and third essays are by Alan M. Dershowitz. To be honest I did not read Dershowitz’s contribution. I immediately was drawn to Mr. Jansen’s essay largely due to his last name. Mr. Jansen’s last name is similar to pseudonymous counterjihad essayist/blogger Fjordman’s actual name. Fjordman’s actual name is Peder Are Nøstvold Jensen (Full name from a somewhat uncomplimentary article in Wikipedia).

Fjordman has been one of my hero bloggers for years. His name actual name was exposed to the massacre perpetuated by Right Wing semi-Nazi aficionado Anders Breivik who murdered nearly a hundred in Norway with the deluded aim of inspiring a NWO revolution in Europe against Islam and European Muslims. Although Breivik killed mostly teenage Norwegians away at a camp I believe he sought to place the blame on Norway’s growing minority of Muslims. (Here’s a dialogue between myself and an atheist who did his best to associate Breivik with the Christian Right.)

Fjordman’s essays apparently were an inspiration for Breivik’s 1500 page manuscript discovered after his arrest. The manuscript lays out a plan for Christian-Odinists (which I equate with Nazi mysticism. Odinism: HERE and HERE) in Europe to rise up and slay Europe’s ruling elite to rid Europe of Muslims. Fjordman’s essays were the most numerous but not the only Counterjihad writer in the mix. Indeed much of Breivik’s manuscript are from the Counterjihadists in which contributes a distorted interpretation of the creation of a Nazi-like nationalist European state. Since Fjordman’s essays standout in Breivik’s manuscript, the multiculturist authorities of Left leaning Norway branded Fjordman as synonymous to Breivik’s agenda. This Norwegian branding of Fjordman led to his arrest, interrogation and confiscation of the Fjordman computer and writings in his home. The Norwegian police of course could not pin their suspicions on Fjordman because a careful reading of the Fjordman essays simply demonstrates an expose Islam nature and there is absolutely no incitement to execute violence against Muslims. However, if you have followed Europe’s concept of Civil Liberties, you would realize that exposing Islam is considered a hate-crime which many European Counterjihadists have had to defend their Free Speech in a Court of Law.

So … Anyway, Bjorn Jansen, the author of the Gateway Institute article, made me think of Peder Jensen. Indeed Mr. Jansen’s essay is quite like a Fjordman essay. Bjorn Jansen is a Norwegian politician that seems to have awakened to how Norway’s Muslim minority non-assimilation mentality is harming the native Norwegian culture. Jansen rightly accuses his fellow politicians of looking the other way to preserve their political multiculturalism of accepting all people and religion and that with the correct applied societal aims the diverse cultures will live in harmony. Considering what the Norwegian police did to Fjordman/Peder Jensen, this is quite the courageous stand by a Norwegian politician. Bjorn Jansen even mentions the contributions of European Counterjihad leaders but sadly does not mention Fjordman. I suspect the reason for this failure is because Fjordman has been vilified in Norwegian society as a Right Wing extremist when he is not.

Before I move on to the Bjorn Jansen cross post allow me to share some Norwegian Wikipedia info on him. The original is in Norwegian and is translated by Google:

Norway: The People’s Revolution vs. The “Religion of Peace”

By Bjorn Jansen
January 24, 2015 at 5:00 am

In Norway’s educational system, history is not a valued subject. It is included under either “Social Studies” or “Norwegian.” Many Norwegians are therefore unaware how their society and democracy were formed, or of the enormous prices paid to attain them. Recent generations seem to take them for granted.

Norway’s education system is … [Blog Editor: The original text is abbreviated from original because the entirety in the post.]

It seems that most people in Europe — in the wake of the Paris massacres at the magazine Charlie Hebdo and the kosher supermarket — have either forgotten, or never been taught, that Muslims have invaded Europe several times before. In the Eighth Century, the Moors (Muslims from North Africa) succeeded in conquering Spain and the early medieval French King, Charles Martel, fought and put a stop to the Moors’ invasion of France. It took 800 years to expel Islam from Spain; the final expulsion of the Moors from Andalusia occurred 1494. Later, the Ottomans made it to the gates of Vienna in 1683. How has Islam’s nature and history in Europe been forgotten?

Norway, like many other countries in Europe after World War II, has built up an expansive welfare state. It is based on the principle of shared values, shared goals and shared faith in the state. Historically, Norway has prided itself in being a largely classless society with a large middle class, and only a small upper class or nobility.

In Norway’s educational system, history is not a valued subject. It is included either under the umbrella of “social studies” or “Norwegian.” This downgrading, combined with the erosion and virtual removal of Christianity from the education system, means that many are unaware of how their society and democracy were formed, or of the enormous prices paid to attain them. Recent generations seem to take them for granted.

The development of the West, which began with Socrates in Athens; then proceeded to rule of law based on verifiable evidence and equal justice from Rome; then the theological debate that preceded the Reformation and the Renaissance; the Enlightenment and the growth of science — all of these, over hundreds of years, have shaped constitutions and created today’s democratic societies. Today’s constitutions, legal systems, codes of ethics, and even desired values for children, are based on the values and qualities expressed in both the Old and New Testament, but most young people are not aware of this.

Islam is an ideology. All nations have their own, although this may not be obvious to those who are born and brought up in them. What, then, is Norway’s post-war ideology (or idealism), and how does it permeate Norway’s society today?

Before large amounts of oil began to be extracted in the 1970s, Norway was largely a monocultural society. However, the last 40 years have been a high-speed transition to a multicultural society, whose previous solidarity and joint values are now being broken down and questioned by parallel and, in the case of Islam, some widely opposing values and goals.

With immigration comes a larger gap between the poorest and richest than before, but Norway retains its strong social values of equality and its dream of solidarity — perhaps a key reason why socialism still has such a strong hold on the country.

Norway’s education system is permeated in an idealistic vision of equality and a belief in cultural relativism: that everyone, every culture and every religion are of the same value. Schools and even preschools are obliged to work toward wiping out class differences. As the state opposes the idea of private schools, there is virtually no alternative to the state school. The majority of teachers are idealists who believe in the idealism they are obliged to preach.

Cultural and religious relativism prevail. Islam is presented in schoolbooks as “just another religion.” Key practices, such as washing before praying, and praying five times a day, are presented; but Mohammed’s biography, Islam’s ideology and agenda, the concept of the kafir [infidel] and all its aggressive contents are brushed under the carpet. Islam is presented as an attractive religion, not an ideology, and is portrayed as if has already been reformed, a situation that is just not the case.

There is no tradition of debate clubs in Norway; the result is pressure for consensus of views and thoughts. To debate, in England, is considered an art. Many schools have debate clubs, and there is no harm seen in disagreeing strongly, then still going after to the pub. In Norway, in the workplace, to disagree is not always a safe option. To express an opinion that runs against the stream can be associated with “being difficult,” “argumentative,” and that what you think is “wrong,” with unpleasant overtones of “you are wrongly programmed.”

Norway’s politicians are both younger and less experienced than their European counterparts, who mostly enter politics later in life after a career in business. Few of Norway’s politicians have an international perspective from higher education or a career apart from politics. Many have gone straight into politics from student days. They are raised in a society with a small population entrenched in a socialist consensus, and that presses for conformity. How then does one express dissent in a country whose politicians and media are rooted in socialist thinking; where discussing religion is a no-go; where politics has replaced religion, and where there is a small population ensuring conformity of thought, with the risk of being sanctioned for expressing other thoughts?

Most of the media has the same socialist outlook as Norway’s politicians. There is either complete ignorance or a blind refusal to go to the root of Islamic terrorism, or how Islam’s doctrine effects the socialisation, mindset and actions of Muslims. Despite the existence of informative, independent websites such as document.no and rights.no, the media refuses even to look at Islam’s doctrines.

Rather than investigate Islam for themselves, politicians in Norway have put their blind faith in what the imams in Norway say is Islam. Likewise Islamsk Råd, The Islamic Council of Norway, has been given media space to determine what Islam is or is not.

The last three years have seen an explosion in the knowledge of Islam by the man-in-the street, largely thanks to the internet, and inspired by key figures such as Geert Wilders, Ayaan Hirsi Ali, Irshad Manji, Brother Rachid and Norway’s own Hege Storhaug. While no voice critical of Islam gets coverage in the media, recent coverage in the media of Germany’s populist PEGIDA movement (Patriotic Europeans against the Islamization of the West) has already started changing this lapse.

PEGIDA was started in Dresden last October by Lutz Bachman, who stepped down on January 21, 2015, after a photo of him posing as Hitler surfaced. Its wildfire popularity throughout Europe in just three months or existence seems due to the politicians’ and media’s neglect of their populace — especially the media’s refusal or inability to undertake independent investigative journalism.

People are now discussing what exactly is preventing the European media from going to the root of Islam — discussing which elements of Islam’s key scriptures (the Koran, the sira and the hadith) are at conflict with the non-Muslim world.

If the media and politicians admit there is a problem, they will be forced to retract their belief in multiculturalism and apologize for voluntarily allowing a change in Norway’s demographics, with potentially many violent outcomes. They might have to admit that the media and politicians know of the dangers of Islam’s doctrines but do not dare to publish them; that maybe they have been collectively threatened and are afraid of the consequences. Other countries’ media might be afraid to talk about Islam’s doctrines because of their dependence on oil from the Middle East, but this is not the case for Norway.

PEGIDA’s followers can trigger a sorely needed debate on the unopened Pandora box of Islam’s doctrines. They can also ask questions that need to be asked, but that neither politicians nor the media have so far had the guts to ask. Caricatures and cartoons are only the symptom; we need to get to the root.

Fjordman writes an essay entitled “Top Norwegian Prof: Critics of Mass Immigration Mentally Ill”. If you are an American I urge you to read this essay! The essay is about Free Speech in Norway and how the Left utilizes Hate-Speech laws to shut up Conservatives and those against the mass immigration of culturally different people to Norway. The culturally different people are not non-Nordic people of Europe or of the Oriental Asian persuasion. The immigration of people with a totally divergent culture to Norway is Sharia-Minded Muslims that are literally taking over broad swaths of Norwegian communities. This is significant because of the rise of crime perpetrated by Muslims against the Norwegians. Blond Norwegian gals are so concerned of the rape epidemic perpetrated by Muslims against non-Muslims that they are dying their hair to a dark brunette.

Why should Americans be concerned of how Islam affects Norwegian culture or how Norway’s Left propagandizes multiculturalism so much that they try to throw anti-multiculturalists and Counterjihadists in jail to repress threats to reversing the acceptance of multiculturalism?

The reason is Norway’s limitation on Liberty and Free Speech is a snapshot of America’s potential future. With Obama now being exposed as running a politically corrupt Administration that actually uses government agencies (Like the IRS, Justice Dept.  or Agenda 21) to repress American Conservatives it is quite apparent the Norwegian snapshot looms near if we do not undo Obama’s “Change”.

Multicultural Blindness to the Danger of Islamic Culture

True 5 Pillars of Islam

John R. Houk

© April 8, 2013

I have Fjordman on my Google email alert. I am a huge fan of Fjordman’s essays. Unfortunately Fjordman is often vilified in his native Norway for exposing the reality that modern Islam has a dark side that is completely related to the religion’s early days under its founder Mohammed and the following Caliphs that used Mo’s theo-political ideals to spread an empire and to culturally brainwash the conquered as much as was possible without completely killing them all.

It is terrifyingly fascinating that Leftists across the Western World get in line with the Muslim apologists that assert Islam has moderated today much as Christian culture in the West has abandoned its harsher actions in the name of promoting Christianity.

That which Leftists and Muslim fail to tell its listeners is that Christian holy writings condemn senseless violence to achieve goals related to the political world while Islamic writings specifically tell Muslims to use violence to defend Islam from verbal assault and to spread the religion’s theo-political ideological tenets.

When Fjordman writes the truth about Islam the vilification he receives flows in the form of the accusation of racism. The racist accusation is remarkable since Fjordman’s criticism of the practices of Islam is essentially a defense of Western culture as it has developed under the influence of Christianity and Greco-Roman thought.

The essay that has caught my attention is entitled, “Fjordman: Importing Islamic Nightmares — While Denying Them”. The Google email alert pointed me to the Winds of Jihad maintained by the pseudonym person called Sheik Yer’ Mami. However, the Fjordman essay was originally posted at FrontPage Mag.

Now that I have shown the pedigree of the essay here is the reason you should read it.

Fjordman writes about the blind eye of the Leftist governments in Norway and to a lesser extent to Sweden and shows how that blind eye has increased violent in Nordic nations to an alarming rate. It is alarming because Fjordman asserts violent crime had the fewer occurrences in Nordic nations than any other place in Free Europe. Tragically the violent crimes have less to do with criminal enterprises and more to do with expressing Islamic Supremacism over the native Nordic/Western Culture.

Now if you are an American reader you need to pay attention to this cultural blind eye toward Islamic culture and the Muslims that exude that religion because the ‘Islam is Peace’ crowd in America will perpetuate the idiocy of European Leftist cultural blindness in the name of Multiculturalism.

Counter-Jihad Writing is Expose Islam Rather than Hate Muslims

What the West Needs to Know about Islam

John R. Houk

Anders Breivik was recently convicted for his mass murder in Norway. There is no doubt Breivik created his delusional agenda by acting out from Counter-Jihad writers. That is a fair enough analysis. On the other hand it is an unfair conclusion to blame Counter-Jihad writers for Breivik’s mass murder.

Counter-Jihad writers do not expose the dark side of Islam to incite hate but rather to incite understanding and caution.

Why do non-Muslim Westerners need understanding and caution in relation to Islam?

It is Because Islamic Culture and Islamic Sharia Law is not compatible to Western Culture in concepts of Liberty and Freedom. This is especially the case with the United States of America which has Liberty and Freedom encoded in the Constitution’s First Amendment which touches on Religious Freedom, Free Speech, Free Press and the Freedom to Protest and to freely redress grievances to the government.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

So acceptance of Islam by Left Wing Multiculturalists is a path to destroying Western Culture as Muslim demand more and more acceptance of Islamic Supremacism inherent in their holy writings and Sharia Law.

Well that is my two-cents. Fjordman has some thoughts which I am cross posting from the Gates of Vienna. I am not going to include the Norwegian language version which can found at the end of the English version of Fjordman’s thoughts.
