Israel is for the Jews, Jerusalem for Israel and Christ’s Kingdom for ALL

Jerusalem is the capital city of the nation Israel. In case you didn’t get that let me say it another way: Jerusalem is the heritage of Jews!

Now here is something Jews are critical of: (Biblical) Christians believe the return of the Jews to the Holy Land reestablishing Israel as the Land of the Jews is a huge sign that Christ Jesus the Son of God is coming soon to establish His Kingdom on the throne of David. Not only as King of the Jews but also as King of all those that believe Jesus is the Risen Savior of all humanity. Christians believe that Jesus is the Priest-King prophesied to possess the Throne of David to rule and reign as King and God of all the earth.

Ironically in the eyes of Israel faithful Jews, Christians are viewed both as enemies and friends. From the days that Gentiles dominated the Christian faithful history shows an unbiblical persecution of Jews by Christians. Since the Christians that believe that Israel and Jerusalem are Jewish Biblically are evangelical in nature coupled with a sour history with Christians, there is a difficulty to view Christians as friends.

Regardless of Jewish acceptance of Christian motives I am one that completely stands with Israel to be an independent nation with the City of David – Jerusalem – as the God certified capital city. Arabs that call themselves Palestinians have no claim to Jerusalem on the basis of a religion founded about 600 years after Christ’s Resurrection and around two thousand years after Joshua led the twelve Hebrew Tribes to dispossess the ungodly Canaanites that God deemed unworthy thus fulfilling the Promise to Abraham to possess the Land forever.

All these pro-Israel Christian Zionist thinking is a result of an email I received from Mike Evans of Jerusalem Prayer Team relating that President Barack Hussein Obama is scheduled to travel to Israel with the intention to bully Israel to divide Jerusalem between Israel and the usurping Arabs that call themselves Palestinians.

Mike Evans believes that if BHO is successful in his agenda that the USA will be under the curse of God for working against the legacy of the Jews and the Land of Israel. I am going to post that email, but first I want to post numerous Scriptures to think about while reading the Evans email.

Israel is the Promise to Jews and Christ is the Messiah

1 Now the Lord had said to Abram:

“Get out of your country,
From your family
And from your father’s house,
To a land that I will show you.

2 I will make you a great nation;
I will bless you
And make your name great;
And you shall be a blessing.
3 I will bless those who bless you,
And I will curse him who curses you;
And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”

4 So Abram departed as the Lord had spoken to him, and Lot went with him. And Abram was seventy-five years old when he departed from Haran. 5 Then Abram took Sarai his wife and Lot his brother’s son, and all their possessions that they had gathered, and the people whom they had acquired in Haran, and they departed to go to the land of Canaan. So they came to the land of Canaan. 6 Abram passed through the land to the place of Shechem, as far as the terebinth tree of Moreh.[a] And the Canaanites were then in the land.

7 Then the Lord appeared to Abram and said, “To your descendants I will give this land.” And there he built an altar to the Lord, who had appeared to him. 8 And he moved from there to the mountain east of Bethel, and he pitched his tent with Bethel on the west and Ai on the east; there he built an altar to the Lord and called on the name of the Lord. (Genesis 12: 1-8 NKJV)

1 For Zion’s sake I will not hold My peace,
And for Jerusalem’s sake I will not rest,
Until her righteousness goes forth as brightness,
And her salvation as a lamp that burns.
2 The Gentiles shall see your righteousness,
And all kings your glory.
You shall be called by a new name,
Which the mouth of the Lord will name.
3 You shall also be a crown of glory
In the hand of the Lord,
And a royal diadem
In the hand of your God.
4 You shall no longer be termed Forsaken,
Nor shall your land any more be termed Desolate;
But you shall be called Hephzibah,[a] and your land Beulah;[b]
For the Lord delights in you,
And your land shall be married.
5 For as a young man marries a virgin,
So shall your sons marry you;
And as the bridegroom rejoices over the bride,
So shall your God rejoice over you.

6 I have set watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem;
They shall never hold their peace day or night.
You who make mention of the Lord, do not keep silent,
7 And give Him no rest till He establishes
And till He makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth.

11 Indeed the Lord has proclaimed
To the end of the world:
“Say to the daughter of Zion,
‘Surely your salvation is coming;
Behold, His reward is with Him,
And His work before Him.’”
12 And they shall call them The Holy People,
The Redeemed of the Lord;
And you shall be called Sought Out,
A City Not Forsaken. (Isaiah 62: 1-7, 11-12

1 I was glad when they said to me,
“Let us go into the house of the Lord.”
2 Our feet have been standing
Within your gates, O Jerusalem!

3 Jerusalem is built
As a city that is compact together,
4 Where the tribes go up,
The tribes of the Lord,
To the Testimony of Israel,
To give thanks to the name of the Lord.
5 For thrones are set there for judgment,
The thrones of the house of David.

6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem:
“May they prosper who love you.
7 Peace be within your walls,
Prosperity within your palaces.”
8 For the sake of my brethren and companions,
I will now say, “Peace be within you.”
9 Because of the house of the Lord our God
I will seek your good. (Psalms 122: 1-9

“For behold, in those days and at that time,
When I bring back the captives of Judah and Jerusalem,
2 I will also gather all nations,
And bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat;
And I will enter into judgment with them there
On account of My people, My heritage Israel,
Whom they have scattered among the nations;
They have also divided up My land.
3 They have cast lots for My people,
Have given a boy as payment for a harlot,
And sold a girl for wine, that they may drink.

4 “Indeed, what have you to do with Me,
O Tyre and Sidon, and all the coasts of Philistia?
Will you retaliate against Me?
But if you retaliate against Me,
Swiftly and speedily I will return your retaliation upon your own head;
5 Because you have taken My silver and My gold,
And have carried into your temples My prized possessions.
6 Also the people of Judah and the people of Jerusalem
You have sold to the Greeks,
That you may remove them far from their borders.

7 “Behold, I will raise them
Out of the place to which you have sold them,
And will return your retaliation upon your own head.

16 The Lord also will roar from Zion,
And utter His voice from Jerusalem;
The heavens and earth will shake;
But the Lord will be a shelter for His people,
And the strength of the children of Israel.

17 “So you shall know that I am the Lord your God,
Dwelling in Zion My holy mountain.
Then Jerusalem shall be holy,
And no aliens shall ever pass through her again.”

20 But Judah shall abide forever,
And Jerusalem from generation to generation.
21 For I will acquit them of the guilt of bloodshed, whom I had not acquitted;
For the Lord dwells in Zion.” (Joel 3: 1-7, 16-17, 20-21
NKJV – Should read ALL Chapter 3)

11 The people shall dwell in it;
And no longer shall there be utter destruction,
But Jerusalem shall be safely inhabited.

12 And this shall be the plague with which the Lord will strike all the people who fought against Jerusalem:

Their flesh shall dissolve while they stand on their feet,
Their eyes shall dissolve in their sockets,
And their tongues shall dissolve in their mouths. (
Zechariah 14:11-12 NKJV)

4 Nevertheless for David’s sake the Lord his God gave him a lamp in Jerusalem, by setting up his son after him and by establishing Jerusalem; 5 because David did what was right in the eyes of the Lord, and had not turned aside from anything that He commanded him all the days of his life, except in the matter of Uriah the Hittite. 6 And there was war between Rehoboam[a] and Jeroboam all the days of his life. (1 Kings 15:4-6 NKJV)

14 So the Lord God said to the serpent:

“Because you have done this,
You are cursed more than all cattle,
And more than every beast of the field;
On your belly you shall go,
And you shall eat dust
All the days of your life.
15 And
I will put enmity
Between you and the woman,
And between your seed and her Seed;
He shall bruise your head,
And you shall bruise His heel
.” (Bold Emphasis Mine – Genesis 3: 14-15

15 The Lord your God will raise up for you a Prophet like me from your midst, from your brethren. Him you shall hear, 16 according to all you desired of the Lord your God in Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying, ‘Let me not hear again the voice of the Lord my God, nor let me see this great fire anymore, lest I die.’

17 “And the Lord said to me: ‘What they have spoken is good. 18 I will raise up for them a Prophet like you from among their brethren, and will put My words in His mouth, and He shall speak to them all that I command Him. 19 And it shall be that whoever will not hear My words, which He speaks in My name, I will require it of him. (Bold Emphasis Mine – Deuteronomy 18:15-19 NKJV)

30 Then the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. 31 And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name Jesus. 32 He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David. 33 And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there will be no end.”

34 Then Mary said to the angel, “How can this be, since I do not know a man?”

35 And the angel answered and said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God. (Luke 1: 30-35 NKJV)

25 The woman said to Him, “I know that Messiah is coming” (who is called Christ). “When He comes, He will tell us all things.”

26 Jesus said to her, “I who speak to you am He.” (John 4: 25-26 NKJV)

49 Jesus answered, “I do not have a demon; but I honor My Father, and you dishonor Me. 50 And I do not seek My own glory; there is One who seeks and judges. 51 Most assuredly, I say to you, if anyone keeps My word he shall never see death.”

52 Then the Jews said to Him, “Now we know that You have a demon! Abraham is dead, and the prophets; and You say, ‘If anyone keeps My word he shall never taste death.’ 53 Are You greater than our father Abraham, who is dead? And the prophets are dead. Who do You make Yourself out to be?”

54 Jesus answered, “If I honor Myself, My honor is nothing. It is My Father who honors Me, of whom you say that He is your[a] God. 55 Yet you have not known Him, but I know Him. And if I say, ‘I do not know Him,’ I shall be a liar like you; but I do know Him and keep His word. 56 Your father Abraham rejoiced to see My day, and he saw it and was glad.”

57 Then the Jews said to Him, “You are not yet fifty years old, and have You seen Abraham?”

58 Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.” [SlantRight Editor: Jesus is referencing the ‘I AM’; i.e. God Almighty that spoke to Moses in the Burning Bush of Exodus 3: 14-15]

59 Then they took up stones to throw at Him; but Jesus hid Himself and went out of the temple,[b] going through the midst of them, and so passed by. (John 8: 49-59 NKJV – Read ALL of Chapter 8)

1 Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea. 2 Then I, John,[a] saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God.

9 Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls filled with the seven last plagues came to me[a] and talked with me, saying, “Come, I will show you the bride, the Lamb’s wife.”[b] 10 And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the great city, the holy[c] Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, 11 having the glory of God. Her light was like a most precious stone, like a jasper stone, clear as crystal. 12 Also she had a great and high wall with twelve gates, and twelve angels at the gates, and names written on them, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel: 13 three gates on the east, three gates on the north, three gates on the south, and three gates on the west.

14 Now the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them were the names[d] of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.

22 But I saw no temple in it, for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. 23 The city had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine in it,[a] for the glory[b] of God illuminated it. The Lamb is its light. 24 And the nations of those who are saved[c] shall walk in its light, and the kings of the earth bring their glory and honor into it.[d] 25 Its gates shall not be shut at all by day (there shall be no night there). 26 And they shall bring the glory and the honor of the nations into it.[e] 27 But there shall by no means enter it anything that defiles, or causes[f] an abomination or a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life. (Revelation 21: 1-3, 9-14, 22-27 NKJV)

Yeah, I did say numerous Scriptures. Anyway, these Scriptures are an excellent preparation for Mike Evans’ warning that a BHO agenda could be a curse upon the United States of America.

President Obama’s plan for Jerusalem will bring God’s judgment on America

By Mike Evans

Sent by Jerusalem Prayer Team

In a few days, President Obama will be going to Israel. This is his first trip to the Jewish state since he became president, and he is going with an urgent agenda—to divide the Holy City of Jerusalem and rush the creation of a Palestinian state with much of Jerusalem as its capital. He is hoping this will be the great international legacy of his second term in office.

There is no doubt in my mind that if this plan succeeds, God will judge America in a way we have never seen in our history. Our nation is in the process of touching God’s prophecy and that is a very dangerous thing. The outcome of this plan does not just threaten Israel’s future, but that of America and every other nation that supports it as well. God will not allow us to contradict His Word in such an open and blatant way.

I am going to Israel next week on an urgent mission as your ambassador. The next few weeks are literally some of the most critical times in the entire modern existence of the nation of Israel. The Jewish state is surrounded by enemies. The future of the government of Israel is uncertain. My old friend Prime Minister Netanyahu has so far been unable to form a new government after the recent election…and members of the Obama Administration are pushing the Israeli political leaders not to join a new government in an attempt to remove him from office even though he won a majority of votes to be Prime Minister.

Please start praying right now for me on this trip. God has planned my schedule, and I must take His message to the nation of Israel. I have no doubt that God brought us together “for such a time as this.” He knew Israel would be surrounded by enemies and abandoned by friends…and he called the Jerusalem Prayer Team into existence to raise up a great host of Believers who would stand faithfully in prayer for the nation of Israel and the Jewish people.

I urgently need your financial help as well. The work of the Jerusalem Prayer Team is vital, but we cannot continue without your support. This effort is completely supported by our members—friends like you who share our belief in the power of prayer and our love for Israel and the Jewish people.

In just three weeks, the celebration of Passover begins. This is a holy and sacred time of year. The weeklong Feast of Unleavened Bread is a celebration of God’s deliverance and protection for His people. But for the poor and hungry, especially for the elderly Holocaust survivors, it is anything but a happy time.

Today I’m asking you to help us provide food for the Seder and the week of Passover for these precious people. I will be there in Jerusalem to represent you as we share the message of hope and Christian love with them. Your gift today will provide meals for the hungry—meeting one of their most urgent needs.

In faith I have told the director of our outreach to go ahead and plan for a Passover Party and a major food distribution, but we can’t do this unless you help. Please send your gift today to bless the Holocaust survivors of Jerusalem and the poor of the house of Israel.

Jerusalem_Print - FROM JPT

When you send your gift today, we will send you this beautiful Jerusalem peace print. Since the City of David is the focal point of the enemy’s attack, it must be the focal point of our prayers as well. Suitable for framing, this lovely picture will be a constant reminder to you to pray for the peace of Jerusalem.

If you are able to send a gift of $77 or more, we will send you the print and a unique prayer shawl*.

Since ancient times, prayer shawls like these have been worn by the Jews as they went before the Lord. This piece, especially designed and created for Jerusalem Prayer Team members, is our gift to you when you send your gift of $77 or more. (*While supplies last)

Your support of the Jerusalem Prayer Team allows us to continue our work on the Christian Zionist Heritage Center, to stand up and speak out for Israel, and to meet urgent humanitarian needs among the poor Jewish people living in Israel. Thank you so much for being part of this vital worldwide prayer movement.

Barukh atah Adonai eloheinu melekh ha-olam, ozier Yisrael bigvurah.

Blessed art thou, Lord our God, King of the universe, who girds Israel with might.

Your ambassador to Jerusalem,

Dr. Mike Evans

Iran’s plot to blow up Israeli targets in Azerbaijan thwarted

Azerbaijan map

Mike Evans of the Jerusalem Prayer Team mixes Prophetic vision with some reporting on Iran organizing embassy bombings and attacks on Jews in the predominantly Muslim nation and former member of the USSR in Azerbaijan. Azerbaijani authorities broke the conspiracy up; nonetheless the intention was there and it should be considered an act of war.

Iran’s plot to blow up Israeli targets in Azerbaijan thwarted

By Mike Evans

Shalom from the Holy City of Jerusalem. It’s the midnight hour, and I am up praying for Jerusalem and the Jerusalem Prayer Team members. The Spirit is saying to me right now, “Awake! The King is coming!” Matthew 25:1-6 says:

“Then the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went to meet the bridegroom. Five of them were foolish, and five were wise. For when the foolish took their lamps, they took no oil with them, but the wise took flasks of oil with their lamps. As the bridegroom was delayed, they all became drowsy and slept. But at midnight there was a cry, ‘Here is the bridegroom! Come out to meet him.'”

The threat to Israel is growing day by day.  This week, authorities in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, announced the arrests of nearly two dozen people involved in an Iranian plot to attack Jewish and American embassies and staffers in Azerbaijan.  Many of those arrested had been to Iran for training, and the Azeri government said Iran’s intelligence services and the Iranian Revolutionary Guard were directly involved in planning the attacks.

This is at least the sixth foreign country where plots against Jewish people have either been carried out or stopped prior to their execution.  Today there is not a Jewish person anywhere in the world who is safe from the demonic hatred and anti-Semitism that drives the enemies of God’s Chosen People to seek their destruction.

While here in Israel I am once again standing with the Jewish people as your ambassador, assuring them that even if the American government will not support them in the crisis hour, we will.  Today I’m asking you to send a generous gift to help us continue to prepare to meet the urgent needs of the people of Israel in the coming war.

Once the war starts, it will be too late.  We must help now, or many will die.  Your gift today to the Jerusalem Prayer Team can literally be the difference between life and death.  Please join me right now in praying a commanded blessing on every loving heart that responds to this urgent call for help.

While here in Jerusalem, I have set aside a special time to pray for your needs and those of my beloved Jerusalem Prayer Team partners.  Will you please share your most pressing prayer need with me today so that I can take it before the Lord in agreement with you in the Holy City?  I appreciate so much the help our prayer team members have already made possible.

We have provided a number of bomb shelters for Jewish school children to have a safe place when the rockets fall from the skies.  But we must do more.  We must begin to accumulate medical supplies and relief stockpiles.  We must continue to provide food and warm clothing to the poor of Israel.  We must help find and provide safe places for people to take shelter during attacks. Though everyone in Israel is at risk, there are only bomb shelters and safe places for about half of the population!  Your gift today is both a witness to the Jewish people of God’s love and a practical, life-saving help as we face the coming war.

Israel today stands on the brink of all-out war–a war that will kill or injure thousands of precious Jewish men, women, and children.  We must do all that we can to defend the Jewish state and God’s Chosen People.  In addition, the Jerusalem Prayer Team is working to meet the needs of the poor and elderly in Israel.  Your gift helps us provide warm clothes, food and medicine for those in urgent need.

When you send your gift of any amount, we will send you a lovely color Masada print.  At this ancient fortress, Israeli soldiers make the holy vow “Never Again!”  With your gift of $40 or more we will send you the print and a beautiful Jerusalem Prayer Team mezuzah for your home.  If you are able to send $1,000 or more, we will send you both of those items as well as a large silver-trimmed shofar.  Handmade according to the traditions passed down for centuries, this museum-quality piece will tell everyone that you are committed to sounding the alarm for the defense of Israel.

Your support of the Jerusalem Prayer Team allows us to continue to stand up and speak out for Israel, as well as meet urgent humanitarian needs among the poor Jewish people living in Israel.  Thank you so much for being part of this vital worldwide prayer movement.

Barukh atah Adonai eloheinu melekh ha-olam, hameikhin mits’adei gever.

Blessed art thou, Lord our God, King of the universe, who establishes the footsteps of man.

Your ambassador to Jerusalem,

Dr. Michael Evans

About Jerusalem Prayer Team:

Why Pray for Jerusalem?

He swore by his own name through Abraham and his seed, Jacob (Israel).

1. He hath remembered his covenant forever, the word which he commanded to a thousand generations. Which covenant he made with Abraham, and his oath unto Isaac; And confirmed the same unto Jacob for a law, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance. Psalms 105:8-11

2. For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he sware by himself. Hebrews 6:13

3. And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee. And I will give unto thee, and to thy seed after thee, the land wherein thou art a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God. Genesis 17:7-8

God pronounced a curse upon those who curse Jerusalem.

1. Now the LORD had said unto Abram, get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee: And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great, and thou shalt be a blessing. And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.” Genesis 12:1-2

2. The burden of the word of the LORD for Israel, saith the LORD, which stretcheth forth the heavens, and layeth the foundation of the earth, and formeth the spirit of man within him. Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem. And in that day will I make Jerusalem a READ ABOUT PAGE IN ENTIRITY

Keep Jerusalem United

President Barack Hussein Obama hosted a meeting with nations representing the Quartet (EU, Russia, UN and the USA) with the addition of the Peoples Republic of China (Communist) and a representative of the Arab League. Thankfully no formal agreement came out of the meeting which GLARINGLY was absent of Israel’s presence. I say thankfully because the agenda of this conglomerate of nations with the Arab League thrown in for good measure is to dismantle Israel’s already miniscule possession of the land of Jewish heritage.

Mike Evans of the Jerusalem Prayer Team sent an email in an effort to bring to mind the critical nature the nation of Israel is in which includes robbing Israel of their holy city Jerusalem.

I believe Jesus is coming very soon

There are few Christian leaders that would take a public stand that the establishment of a Palestinian State on the borders of Israel is a Satanic operation that would be a curse rather than a blessing. I could name a few. I pray you can name some bold Christian leaders as well. For the purpose of this post the Christian leader is Mike Evans of the Jerusalem Prayer Team.

I have received a Mike Evans email that informs us of his opinion that the return of the Lord Jesus Christ must be soon because a majority of the Assembly of the United Nations is willing to unilaterally vote into existence a Jew-hating sovereign Palestinian State. By the way the purpose of this Palestinian State is not the betterment citizen Arabs that call themselves Palestinians. Rather the purpose for existing as a nation-state will be to destroy Israel, slaughter Jews and conquer the land for the new Palestinian State to restore a semblance of dar al-Islam over the entire Middle East.

I am with Mike Evans, it is a Satanic instrumentation to challenge and destroy Israel.

I believe Jesus is coming very soon

From Mike Evans the founder of the Jerusalem Prayer Team

123 Days until UN General Assembly Meeting

Dear [Reader],

I believe Jesus is coming very soon. Even Muslim leaders have described the present Middle East crisis as the coming of Armageddon. The president of Iran, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, told me that face-to-face when I met with him in New York and arranged the Fox News Network interview.

“Of the day and hour knows no man, no not even the angels in heaven, but my Father only.” (Matthew 24:36)

“When you see all these things, know that He is near, even at the door.” (Matthew 24:33)

All signs point to a Middle East war against Israel. The march to Jerusalem has begun. Biblical prophecy is being fulfilled on the front pages of the newspaper. Jesus foretold that kingdoms would rise up against kingdoms. This is happening now in the Middle East.

If you listen carefully to the voice of the Spirit, you will hear the echo of eternity and a call from heaven to touch things beyond the grave. You will hear your spirit respond, “Even so come, Lord Jesus.”

The prophet Isaiah described our time as “darkness covering the earth, and gross darkness the people.” He also declared, “The Lord shall arise upon thee and His glory shall be seen upon thee.” (Isaiah 60:2)

Look up, for our redemption is drawing nigh!

The almost daily attacks from terrorists and the looming specter of Iran’s nuclear weapons program are not the only threats Israel faces. The forces pushing the United Nations to curse Israel are strong and determined in their plan to declare a Palestinian state this September. If we do not stand and raise our voices now, it will soon be too late. They have a demonic strategy birthed in hell by Satan to divide the city of Jerusalem. You and I have come into the kingdom for such a time as this just as ancient Esther did in the Old Testament. The cry of David is echoing throughout eternity, “Is there not a cause?”

The Save Jerusalem special is airing across the U.S. This is a huge step of faith. The only way we can keep the U.S. from recognizing an Islamic capital in East Jerusalem is by mobilizing millions of Americans to pray and to stand up and speak out. No other ministry has taken on this campaign. We urgently need to buy several million dollars of television time in the next 90 days.

Tuesday was the celebration of Yom Ha’Azmaut (Israel’s Independence Day) when the nation was prophetically reborn. June 1 is Yom Yerushalayim (Jerusalem Day), the celebration marking the reunification of the city in 1967. This is our moment to stand with and for the Chosen People.

So far 385 caring Jerusalem Prayer Team members have given $31,500 which has been doubled to $63,000 through the matching gift challenge to air the Save Jerusalem special. We are praying for 2,500 people to give in May. Will you join with us today in this fight for Israel’s survival?

Throughout my life, I’ve fought no battle stronger than I have the battle for Jerusalem. This is why the Jerusalem Prayer Team exists. I’ve written more than a dozen books on Jerusalem and have received Israel’s highest award, the same award that presidents and prime ministers receive from the State of Israel. I’ve been recognized as an ambassador to Jerusalem.

I urgently need your help today to stand for Jerusalem again before it is too late. I need your prayers. I need your financial support. If we allow our President to curse Jerusalem in our name, the resulting judgment of God will make 9/11 look like a Sunday school picnic. This is a battle that can only be won in the spiritual realm–and I urge you to join me in fighting and winning this crucial battle today.

Your ambassador to Jerusalem,

Dr. Michael Evans

Jewish Heritage Belongs to the Land of Israel

There is evidence Europe is rapidly descending into the same kind of Anti-Semitism that existed prior to 1945. I have been alerted by the Jerusalem Prayer Team under the writing auspices of Mike Evans that the European Union (EU) is preparing legislation at the behest of the Arab League that would label any Jew as a war criminal for building in East Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria making Jewish offenders subject to adjudication by the “International Court”.

I wonder if the EU would consider prosecuting any Arab that wishes to be known as Palestinian for building a home in Israel’s capital city Jerusalem. I know the retort to this is that the Eastern part of Jerusalem (aka Old Jerusalem) was Palestinian prior to 1967. But would the retort be accurate? NO!

For one thing the Jewish Quarter of Old City Jerusalem has existed for 3,000 years. This means even during Diasporas and foreign occupations, there has been a Jewish Quarter or presence for 3,000 years. In the last hundred years the Jews have had the worst time of their existence between 1948 and 1967 when Jordanian forces occupied Judea and Samaria portions of the old British Mandate of Palestine. Jordan changed the name to the West Bank and allowed Muslims to desecrate Jewish Synagogues and Holy Places of Jewish heritage. Transjordan (Jordan today) would unilaterally annex Samaria, Judea and the Eastern half of Jerusalem but prior to this an ethnic cleansing of all things Jewish continued right through official annexation in 1949.

Was Israel the occupier or the liberator of Old City Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria? Israel was the absolute liberator of Jewish land. Indeed, after 1967 Israel chose to protect the two Muslim Mosques built on the Jewish Temple Mount by invading Muslims. Muslim conquest took place in 638 AD. The Dome of the Rock was built between 688 – 91 AD. The al Aqsa Mosque was built 715 AD. The Umayyad Caliphs are thought to have had a focus on Jerusalem because of political competition from the Arabian Peninsula where Mecca was located. Then an Umayyad Caliph utilized the Temple Mount to solidify their rule theologically by connecting Mohammed’s Night Vision for the first time to Jerusalem by building al Aqsa Mosque.

So the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) recaptured sovereignty over the Temple Mount and the other Jewish Holy Sites in 1967. You would think that Jews would proceed with a little tit-for-tat and repay Muslims for the 1948 desecration with 1967 desecration. It never happened! Israel allowed the Temple Mount to be under the administration of the Muslim Waqf which was still connected to Jordan.

Muslim control of the Temple Mount has existed then for a mere 1329 years. Frankly as long as the Muslim Waqf controls the part of the Temple Mount holds the Dome of the Rock and al Aqsa Mosque, Temple Mount control continues today. An active Jewish Temple was on the Temple Mount for about 970 years. This leaves the Muslims with a 359 year advantage in active religious practice on the Temple Mount.

Historically this gives those who practice the Muslim faith a lot of clout in their demands for controlling the Temple Mount. In America there is an old adage: Possession is 9/10 of the law. Judaism had first dibs, but Islam possesses. Orthodox Judaism and Islam are both not exactly the most tolerant of religions. The difference in the two religion’s intolerance is that Judaism looks inward as in containment and protecting all things Jewish and Islam looks outward expanding even to the point of annihilating all things non-Muslim. We have an uncompromising position if both religions remain true to their faith. It is like the unmovable force meets the unstoppable force. Who wins? In this politically correct Western dominating world, neither religion wins. There will always be intolerance from both religions, each claiming the authority of G-d or Mohammed/Allah.

In a well armed 19th century Jewish/Muslim collision there might be a winner. The rules of war – particularly in the Middle East – were quite different from today’s Western thankful imposition of human rights. In the old days there would be a fight with winner taking all. The Jews would have eradicated the Muslim existence in the Land of Israel. Muslims would have eradicated Jewish power with a great slaughter with any remaining Jews placed into a humiliating subhuman status of dhimmitude ala the direction of Mohammed’s example.

As far as weaponry is concerned in the 19th century historically there would have been no battle. The Ottoman Turks stilled ruled the Jewish-Christian-Muslim Holy Land under the administration of the district of Syria. No Palestine existed as a political entity during Ottoman rule. And the Ottomans were a ruthless bunch even in their deteriorating state in the 19th century. There was no Jewish army. Jews existed as outcastes in various nations in Europe, the Ottoman Empire and the Americas. In the land that the Romans gave the name of Philistia, in an effort to eradicate the memory of a Jewish land, began to be called Palestine by Westerners. Even during this Diaspora, this dispersion of Jews away from their homeland roots, there was a Jewish presence in Palestine.

So the question that needs to be asked: Who has deeper roots in the Land of Israel, the Jews or the Muslims?

Both Jews and Muslims theologically trace their heritage from the Patriarch Abraham.

For the Jews, Abraham is the father of the Hebrew people of whom the Promise of God was given for the Land known as Israel. Abraham was the Father of Isaac (Child of Promise from Sarah) who was the Father of Jacob who was renamed Israel by God Almighty. Israel is the Father of twelve sons who became the twelve tribes of Israel.

For the Muslims, Abraham is the Father of Ishmael from Sarah’s slave attendant Hagar (the Quranic spellings are slightly different, I am sticking with the anglicized Biblical version). Ishmael is Quranically connected to Abraham rather than Isaac as a demonstration of Abraham’s faith on Mount Moriah. Abraham was commanded by God (in Islam – Allah) to sacrifice the life of Ishmael. This is a replacement of the older Biblical Scripture in which Abraham’s faith is proven with the Child of Promise Isaac. In both Judaic and Islamic traditions Abraham is prevented from killing Isaac/Ishmael by God/Allah as Abraham proves his obedient faith to God/Allah.

Even though Jews would trace their immediate tie to the Land of Israel from Abraham, let’s use the date that Joshua begins his conquest of Canaan Land. As a brief side bar to critics of the Jewish brutality toward Canaanites, the Biblical reason give by God is to eradicate the people who had arrived to a moment of fullness of sin. It was a Noah’s Ark moment for the dwellers of Canaan Land. The Hebrew-Israel-Jewish command to possess the sinful land of Canaan was not perpetual global conquest until all non-Jews became Jewish. It was only for the Promised Land. Then the command for Jews was to show the obedience of Abraham to honor and obey God while be separate from mingling with other nations. Joshua’s conquest was around the year 1250 BC (BCE for you Secularists and non-Christians). If there has been a continuous Jewish presence in the Land since 1250 BC to the present, the Jewish time frame of heritage is roughly 3,260 years. How long is the Muslim heritage in their conquered land?

Muslims conquered the Holy Land in 638 AD (again for Secularists – CE). If one measures the span of time from the present back to Muslim conquest, that time frame is 1,372. This means a Jewish heritage of the land is 1,888 years longer than a Muslim heritage. That is nearly 2,000 more years than any Muslim claim.

Now here is a Muslim disclaimer:

1. Muslims do Quranically trace a heritage back through Ishmael and further to Abraham.

2. According to the Quran, all the Biblical Saints and Patriarchs were Muslim prophets even back to Adam. The Quran calls the Bible tainted and that the true word of Allah restores truth for humankind.

Even though the Jews do have a concrete verifiable extra-Biblical archeological and historical connection to the Land, the Muslims believe the Quran is the inerrant divine word of Allah delivered by their Prophet Mohammed. In the view of Muslims, inerrancy trumps physical evidence. The thing is Orthodox Jews and Biblical Christians believe the Bible (for Jews this really applies to the Pentateuch) is the inerrant Inspired Word of God Almighty.

Now I realize I am speaking from a Biblical Christian perspective and perhaps from a Christian Zionist perspective. For me Inspired Word of God and physical evidence combined trumps Quranic claims.

Jerusalem is the City of David, the eternal capital city of Jews and a place held in awe by Christians. Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria are part of the Promise made to Abraham and handed down to Isaac, Jacob/Israel and their descendants. Any other possession of that Land by non-Jews is usurpation. Even if the usurpers are Christians.

If you are a Biblical Christian you believe the Jews on their own accord will one day embrace Jesus as the Messiah in the same way as believing Christians have done so. To the Orthodox Jew this sometimes is frowned upon. Christian proselytizing is officially illegal in the Jewish State of Israel; however there is a small yet growing amount of Jews who have retained their Jewish heritage and embraced Christianity simultaneously. Jewish Christians today are often referred to as Messianic Jews. Messianic Jews are controversial to both Orthodox Jews and many Christians. I see it as another sign of the soon returning King of the Jews and the Son of God – Jesus the Messiah and the deliverer of all nations from darkness to the Light of God.

Jews to Be Arrested as War Criminals for Building Homes

Jerusalem Prayer Team

The Arab League is working diligently to get legislation passed by the European Union that would classify any Jew who builds a home in Judea or Samaria as a war criminal–subject to punishment by the International Court. It’s almost impossible to believe, but it’s true…and this frightful future with its direct attack on prophetic Scripture could become a reality very soon.

While I was in Israel, I received numerous briefings and intelligence updates. Israeli leaders foresee a massive economic attack against Israel. Terrorists can no longer move freely inside Israel to launch suicide attacks because of the security wall Israel has built. If the Palestinians can persuade world leaders to punish Israel with tariff and trade penalties so that they cannot compete in the world markets, they hope to bring Israel to its knees and break its will.

President Obama has refused to speak out against this plan in support of Israel. He and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton are working to undermine and break apart the coalition government headed by my friend Prime Minister Netanyahu. They hope to replace him with a liberal Israeli leader who will accept a Palestinian state with 1967 borders. President Obama is using the threat of an atomic Iran against Israel–because the US controls the skies in the Middle East and supplies Israel with vital weapons and replacement parts–he is refusing to approve an attack to stop Iran’s nuclear program unless Israel agrees to give the Palestinians Judea, Samaria and East Jerusalem.

An evil worldwide plot against Israel is unfolding before our eyes. This plotting is foretold in the words of Scripture. “The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying, Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.” (Psalm 2:2&3)

But we can stand for Israel no matter what world leaders do. Will you please show your support for Israel today by sending a Year End Bless Israel gift right now? President Obama and many other world leaders are cursing Israel by trying to force them to give up the land that God has promised to them forever. “I will bless them that bless thee and curse them that curse thee.” (Genesis 12:3) Will you replace that curse with a blessing today?

You have been asked by Nir Barkat, the mayor of Jerusalem, if you would renovate the largest bomb shelter in Jerusalem for use by Holocaust survivors. I have stepped out by faith and said YES. A generous friend has stepped forward and said he will match whatever you give so your Year End Bless Israel gift will be doubled. This is my last appeal to you for this vital project. Please, please vote to bless Israel today with your gift.

I want to put heat and air conditioning in the bomb shelter and also a kitchen, bathrooms, and so much more. This will be a community center and place of love and fellowship until the day when it is needed to save lives. When the attack on Israel comes, you will know that your special year end gift to bless Israel has saved the lives of the elderly Holocaust victims who use it…but you will also be saving these forgotten people from loneliness and isolation every day.

This is the last email on this project. If everyone will just send one more gift today, we will have a miracle. I am going to put the name of every person who gives on a plaque in the bomb shelter in Jerusalem. If you would like, you can give your gift in behalf of a departed loved one…or a mom or dad or grandfather or grandmother or child or grandchild today. Your gift of love will never be forgotten by those who use this shelter, and God will remember it as well. “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.” (Psalm 122:6)

Barukh attah Adonai eloheinu melekh ha-olam, she’asah li kol tzorki. Blessed art thou, Lord our God, King of the Universe, who provides for me all our needs.

Your support of the Jerusalem Prayer Team makes it possible for us continue to mobilize believers around the world to pray for the peace of Jerusalem and the protection of Israel and meet vital humanitarian needs among the Chosen People. Thank you for being part of the team.

Your ambassador to Jerusalem,

Dr. Michael Evans
