Radical Left’s Hatred of America & Israel Binds Them: ‘Democrats Keep Pushing to Unravel U.S.–Israel Relationship’

Dems hate Israel and support those who hate Israel; ergo a vote for a Dem on any level of politics (local, State and National) is a vote for racist Jew-Hatred Antisemitism. That includes self-loathing Left-Wing Jews who’d rather support Marxist Dems than their Jewish heritage in Israel.

Adina Kutnicki essentially states my position.

Radical Left’s Hatred of America & Israel Binds Them: ‘Democrats Keep Pushing to Unravel U.S.–Israel Relationship’

The Democrat Party of yesteryear, tradition-wise, has always been supportive of Israel. No longer. At its base, this support, for the most part, has always been derived from the shared values inherent within both nations.

As it stands, the Party’s current incarnation (as it moved left-ward, incrementally, over a period of years) is ideologically imbued and invested in Israel’s destruction. America’s, too. This tragic truth is plain for all to see, that is, if one’s eyes are wide open enough to absorb the seismic upheavals taking place all over America.

Indeed, those pulling the strings within the Democrat Party are more than thrilled that domestic terrorists are tearing the nation down. To wit, they lend them more than a wink and a nod. In reality, they are cheering them on and funding them! For starters and for further edification, commence your educational journey here:

‘ANTIFA Announces Formation of a Red Army in U.S. The Violent Left Says They Want a Shooting Civil War’ – BLM in the Forefront

Not only that, the ammunition being used to separate the heretofore special bond between the U.S. and Israel is based on the mother of all lies, that is, that Israel is a usurper and an “illegal occupier” of another’s land!

But don’t take this word for setting the record straight towards the truth of all truths. Rather, read for yourselves what is enshrined in international law, as well as in historical fact. The preeminent expert in this legal arena is Howard Grief (deceased, June 2013).

Legal Rights and Title of Sovereignty of the Jewish People to the Land of Israel and Palestine under International Law

In this regard, the following should be more than enough reason  — at least, for all those who still believe that truth matters  — for so-called traditional Democrats, centrists, if you will, to jump ship. Overboard.

Democrats Keep Pushing to Unravel U.S.–Israel Relationship

New letter from progressives to Pompeo brings harmful ideas to the forefront of American politics – By Steve Postal | July 9, 2020

The Lawfare Project sent House Speaker Nancy Pelosi a letter opposing progressive Democrats’ “uninformed and inaccurate” policy proposals towards Israel. The Lawfare Project, according to their website, provides legal counsel and services to, and protects the free speech of, members of the Jewish and pro-Israel community. According to the Lawfare Project, the progressive Democrats’ labeling Israel’s plans to establish control over parts of Judea and Samaria as “annexation” rather than “sovereignty” places the Democrats at odds with U.S. law, “which has long recognized the rights of the Jewish people to a national home in Palestine.”

The Lawfare Project’s letter to Speaker Pelosi was in response to another letter sent by progressive Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Rashida Tlaib, and Ilhan Omar, Sen. Bernie Sanders, and others to Secretary of State Mike Pompeo in late June. This progressive letter is the latest in a series of Democratic communications that serve to harm the U.S.–Israeli partnership. Democrats are now bringing harmful and false ideas, once considered taboo, to the forefront of American politics. Those ideas are the following:

The “settlements” in Judea and Samaria are illegitimate.

Contrary to popular wisdom, Israel has a right to build the “settlements,” which are Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria, the heartland of the Land of Israel. (There are currently about 450,000 Israeli citizens living in Judea and Samaria, in addition to another 215,000 living in eastern Jerusalem.) The Trump administration, in the Pompeo Doctrine, stated that it does not recognize the “settlements” as illegal.

In contrast, the progressive Democrat letter mentioned above calls the “settlements” “illegal” under the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court. Presidential candidate Joe Biden also recently said that continued “settlement” building “will choke off any hope for peace,” despite the Palestinians’ consistent rejection of any peace proposal regardless of the presence, absence, and number of “settlements.”

Israel’s claim to Judea and Samaria is an “occupation.”

Israel’s claim to Judea and Samaria is not one of “occupation,” and Republicans know this. I could not find any reference of the Trump administration referring to the “occupation.” Also, a letter addressed to Netanyahu in support of Israel, signed by 120 House Republicans in late June, does not mention “occupation.”

In contrast, Democrats are convinced otherwise. The progressive Democrat letter mentioned above refers to Judea and Samaria as “occupied Palestinian territory,” “Palestinian Territory occupied since 1967,” and “occupied West Bank,” with Israel being the “Occupying Power.” Biden is also on the record for opposing the so-called “occupation.”

Israel does not have a right to apply sovereignty to at least some of Judea and Samaria.

Israel has a right to apply sovereignty at least some of Judea and Samaria, and Republicans know this. The Trump administration has recognized that right by allowing Israel to apply sovereignty to about 30 percent of Judea and Samaria. The House Republican letter, mentioned above, states that “Israel has the right to make sovereign decisions independent of outside pressure,” and “reaffirm[s] Israel’s right to sovereignty.”

In contrast, Democrats are convinced otherwise. Biden has stated, “I do not support annexation. The fact is, I will reverse Trump’s undercutting of peace.” Further, over 190 House Democrats signed a letter to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Alternate Prime Minister and Defense Minister Benjamin Gantz, and Foreign Minister Gabriel Ashkenazi opposing any Israeli move of “unilateral annexation” to any part of Judea and Samaria. The progressive Democrat letter threatens “nonrecognition of annexed territories.” A letter signed by Senate Democrats, including Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders, written to Netanyahu and Gantz in May also opposed “annexation” six times in four paragraphs.

The U.S. should condition aid to Israel on Israel not building in Judea and Samaria.

U.S. aid to Israel dates back to the 1973 Yom Kippur War and is money that Israel spends mostly in the United States. This aid has long been independent of Israel’s relationship with the Palestinians. Continuing this tradition, Biden said that he would not place conditions on military assistance to Israel. But the progressive Democrat letter threatens legislation that would cut U.S. aid to Israel if the latter moves forward with sovereignty. The progressives are thus “subordinating [the U.S.–Israel relationship] to the Palestinians or, more precisely … subordinating it to the extensive demands American progressives make on behalf of the Palestinians.” Bernie Sanders, IfNotNow, and 1,000 alums of J Street U, the student arm of J Street, supported such conditioning of aid to Israel in separate statements.

The Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement is OK.

The Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement is an anti-Semitic campaign to destroy Israel. President Trump signed an executive order, which in part threatens to withhold funding of universities that support BDS. To his credit, Biden “firmly reject[s]” BDS. But the progressive Democrat letter, while it does not expressly address BDS, is endorsed by multiple organizations that support BDS, including American Friends Service Committee, American Muslims for Palestine (AMP), Churches for Middle East Peace, Defense for Children International — Palestine, and the U.S. Campaign for Palestinian Rights. Each of these organizations is additionally problematic, as reported by the Washington Free Beacon. For example, AMP, Defense for Children International — Palestine and U.S. Campaign for Palestinian Rights have been connected with fundraising for terrorist organizations. In fact, Rep. Ocasio-Cortez purposefully sought support of the progressive Democrat letter from these groups.

Recent statements by Democrats is the latest in a push to continue to make Israel a partisan wedge in U.S. politics, one that I previously discussed in The American Spectator. It remains to be seen if moderate voices within the Democratic party will be able to reclaim the narrative. Until then, the Democratic party will continue to undermine the U.S.–Israel relationship.

RIOTS AGAIN IN JERUSALEM

These fake Palestinians with their Jew-Hatred are quite deserving of deportation from the Land of Israel. And I do mean deported from ALL of the Land of Israel that includes Judea and Samaria.

I am getting fed-up with Muslims exercising bogus claims to the Temple Mount to prevent Jewish (and Christian for that matter) pilgrims access. Ocensor has the irritating news and cross posted.

RIOTS AGAIN IN JERUSALEM

Mosque on Temple Mount

In what seems to be a never-ending process, we see Jerusalem once more embroiled with riots and violence. The reason? Two faiths, Judaism and Islam, have holy days, the Muslims demand unfettered access to the Temple Mount, the Jews, in turn, want access to their most sacred sites.

In what is too familiar, the women are the ones at the gates screaming and trying to block any Jews from entering, the Muslim males then react violently when the Israeli police remove the women to give access. Riots started, many times aided by the Jordanian Waqf, the authorities Jordan places on the mount due to a treaty with Israel.

Ariel Sharon (now deceased) Visit to Temple Mount

This has gone on since Sharon visited the Temple Mount, the Muslims rioted due to a Jew dared to visit the site, and thus the conflict has continued. To try to ease the problems Israel signed a peace treaty with Jordan, giving Jordan control of the mount, but Israel remains in control of the whole area.

The problem has grown worse since Jordan this year decided in response to Trump recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel to hand over 40% of the seats of the Counsel Of Administrators to the “Palestinians,” they, in turn, are now even advocating a more violent resistance.

The new members include the Palestinian Authority’s illegal governor in Jerusalem Adnan al-Husayni; P.A. official Khatem Abdel Kader; controversial Mufti of Jerusalem Muhammad Hussein; President of Al-Quds University in eastern Jerusalem Imad Abu Kishek; and Sheikh Ekrima Sabri, a religious leader with ties to the ruling Turkish regime.

Thus we see far more radical stances due to ties of these people on the council. Adnan Al-Husayni is appointed as governor of all of Jerusalem, but in reality, this is just a political ploy by the Palestinian Authority, he has ZERO political power in the city, it is run and controlled by Israel. This family has a long history of anti-Jewish activities, including Mohammed Amin al-Husseini who later worked with the Fascist, wrote of his intent to bring death camps, or concentration camps to Israel if the Germans won the war.

Muhammad Ahmad Hussein – current Mufti of Jerusalem

Muhammad Ahmad Hussein, who is the current Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, is also on the board, this is also a great cause of concern. He has stated that claim of the Temple existed is a fiction, that the mosque has existed on the site for 3,000 years. The problem with this is that the mosque was built in 705 CE, then destroyed and rebuilt in 746 CE, this would put this question as a lie since this was only 1,300 years ago.

Hussein was appointed Mufti by Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas in 2006 and has a history of making incendiary remarks. Three months after his appointment, Hussein endorsed Palestinian suicide bombings against Israelis, calling the attacks “legitimate resistance.” This past summer, he condemned Israel’s decision to outlaw the Murabitin, an Islamic group whose members often harass non-Muslim visitors at the Temple Mount, saying that Jews will now be allowed to defile al-Aqsa Mosque. His language was echoed by Abbas last month.

In 2015, Hussein laid a wreath at the grave of Haj Amin al-Husseini, a former Grand Mufti of Jerusalem and an indicted war criminal and Nazi collaborator who incited deadly riots against Jews in pre-state Israel by spreading false rumors that they threatened Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Haj Amin al-Husseini (then Grand Mufti of Jerusalem) meets with Adolph Hitler

Imad Abu Kishek is another member, he is a professor of Al-Quds University in Jerusalem, is an administrator, and very active in the Palestinian activities, but to say he has ties to any terrorism, I can not say, I have found no ties to radicals.

There is also Sheikh Ekrima Sabr, who has ties to the Turkish Ruling regime, which brings us back to why Turkey is trying so desperately to gain back control of what they used to have, would also explain their threats towards Israel.

This is the same person that used to be the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, called for Britain and America to be destroyed, in a sermon said:

“Allah, destroy the US, its helpers, and its agents. Allah, destroy Britain, its helpers, and its agents. Allah, prepare those who will unite the Muslims and march in the steps of Saladin.”

Sheikh Ekrima Sabr (former Jerusalem Grand Mufti)

He has advocated for children to be suicide bombers, supported their use while Mufti, said the Holocaust was a lie, a Jewish invention, said:

“The Muslim loves death and [strives for] martyrdom”. He has also previously said that: “The younger the martyr – the greater and the more I respect him.”

He also said:

“The Muslim loves death and [strives for] martyrdom.”

In addition to calling for the destruction of America and Britain, he has said Jews are “the most cowardly creatures Allah has ever created”, adding that he is “filled with rage toward the Jews”.

This is what Jordan has put on their board, the farce that they are trying to maintain peace with Israel shows just the opposite. By adding these people to the board, then wondering why the sudden uptick in violence, we see the reaction of Jordan to Trump doing what the law stipulates, the moving of radicals to run things on the Temple Mount.

Former Saudi General Visits Israel. (General is one with Striped Tie).

Jordan has recreated the board, expect things to turn far more violent, may even be pushed to the point that Israel will not find the treaty with Jordan able to be kept due to their interference on the Temple Mount and their own internal affairs.

Adding to this fuel, The Palestinian Authority, who are complaining that they don’t have enough funds, are now promising they are going to increase their “Pay to Slay” payments to families of terrorist, and terrorist sitting in Israeli prisons.

There could be a light at the end of the tunnel, the Saudi’s, who are opening relations with Israel, Israel even sold them Iron Dome to aid in protecting them from Houthi rebels firing rockets at Saudi Arabia, now they are talking about the possibility of the Saudi’s taking over control of the Mount. They have said there should be nothing to prevent the Jews from praying or worshiping on the mount. This would be a change from the Jordanians who have actively encouraged violence against the Jews.

Awakening My Israel Gene

By Norma Zager

Sent October 28, 2018 12:39 AM

For a writer, knowing you have to write something can be a mixed blessing. The urge to fill a page with gleaming rhetoric and prolific phrases can be quite motivating at times, and yet…there are other times when it can be downright intimidating. It is with much trepidation I begin this piece.

By all accounts there should be a million words rushing forward to describe my first trip to Israel. So much seen and felt, a lifetime of expectations achieved.

As a baby boomer I shared the experience with my fellow boomers of filling coin-cards in Sunday school with a clear understanding of our responsibilities toward the modern Jewish State. Our nickels and dimes would plant forests and help Israel grow and prosper. It was as natural to us as breathing, and we held a vested interest in this historical effort.

So recently when I found myself walking out of the plane and stepped foot on Israeli ground for the first time, I was both emotional and strangely at home; not quite certain what or how to feel. Although waiting in line to get through customs tested my ardor, I remained in a sleep-deprived coma of disbelief that I was actually standing on sacred soil.

It took the entire 70 years or Israel’s existence as a modern country for Norma to finally arrive

When my friend Ari showed up at the airport and we headed to his cousin’s home for Shabbat dinner, it felt so natural I really did not think anything unusual about the evening. Yes, I thought this is Shabbat in an Israeli home, but the table filled with every food you could possibly imagine and the warm entreaties to eat, eat, eat seemed as familiar as the sunshine.

Shabbat Meal

Having the good fortune to have my friend Ari along on my journey made the experience more unique. His American-Israel dual citizenship affords him a perspective I could not achieve. I see and feel American, he both. I gazed at a landscape in Tel Aviv and saw what reminded me of Central Park South, while he saw the IDF GHQ offices in the building where he had served.

Still I waited to feel the explosion of excitement I was certain would arise and overwhelm me, but it was all so normal, it felt odd.

The next morning after I had checked into my hotel in Jerusalem, I began my day with an Israeli breakfast. No lack of calories here. My first response was that I was having one of those diet dreams, as I perused the endless buffet of items from eggs, salads, breads and cheeses to cereals, desserts and pastries as far as the eye could see. Aha, I thought, thank Goodness I brought elastic waist pants along.

After I had ingested enough calories to sustain me for a month, I headed for the Old City and the Western Wall, or as I continued to refer to it from my childhood, the Wailing Wall. I was corrected many times by Ari who reminded me we are not “wailing” any longer, thus the name no longer applies. Yet feeling certain I would be wailing at the wall, the moniker felt appropriate.

I traversed cobblestone streets past endless cubicles filled with Jewish and Christian paraphernalia, as Arab merchants shouted pleas to enter and buy and then insults when I did not comply with their wishes.

I wandered until suddenly in front of my eyes was a flight of steps leading to the Wall. I numbly moved ahead uncertain how or if I would feel.

Standing at the top of the steps leading down to the wall is a panoramic view that is at once breathtaking and quite surreal. Is it real or a picture? Am I really here or simply watching a video taken by a friend who had previously visited?

I descended at a snail’s pace, staring at the wall, waiting for the emotional rush I had always expected and envisioned, but instead there was numbness, almost disbelief akin to shock.

I grew closer. When I got to the wall I placed my hand upon the ancient stone expecting a charge of electricity; still nothing. I prayed and attempted to place my prayer into the overflowing crevices in the wall, then backed away dropping down onto one of the chairs. I stared for some time then walked up and prayed again. It was very hot and I was feeling grateful to be in the shade when suddenly a river of emotion washed over me. I fought it back, afraid I might flood the entire area with a river of tears.

This is how I managed my emotions the entire trip, holding back tears refusing to go to a place so deep inside it might overwhelm and consume me totally.

At the Wall my friend Chaya met me to take me to her home for Shabbat lunch. She and her husband Ronnie had made Aliyah to Israel over 14 years before. Walking in the Old City like a Jewish mountain goat and arriving alive without suffering a heart attack from what seemed like thousands of steps and hills seemed like a miracle, but of course I was in the place where they happen regularly, so why be surprised?

Sharing an incredible Shabbat meal with friends as though no time at all had passed, I felt blessed. I was feeling blessed every minute, every second I was there. Yes, there is a lot of food, we are Jewish, it is who we are so get over it.

I did not absorb all the emotion until I returned home and finally allowed myself to open the floodgates. Being there and close to tears most of the time, I needed to process what I felt.

Was it that I was a Jew coming home at last?

Being welcomed at Yad VaShem

Was it walking through Yad Vashem and channeling the cries and pain of my grandmother and aunt in the camps or wading gleefully in the Dead Sea?

At the Dead (“Salt”) Sea “I am healed!”

Was it standing on a mountain overlooking the ancient city of Jericho that Joshua had fought to capture, but now had been given away so we could no longer enter without risking our lives?

Was it a sense of pride gazing over palm trees and orchards at what my people had created in a desert?

Or the sight of Jerusalem from Mt. Scopus? Swelling with emotion and pride and a tie to the past that tugs at one’s heart so profoundly?

Our visit to a solar company creating products to light and modernize Africa?

The Temple Mount as viewed from Mount Scopus

The incredible work in Tel Aviv’s tech center including a new tiny module that can see for the blind?

Was it a sense of loss for everything that had gone before and those with whom I could never share this joyous moment?

Was it how amazing it felt to see my Christian friends tearful and overcome with emotion as they experienced the Jewish State?

Or finally understanding why there is a battle for Israel that raises such enormous emotional levels in people throughout the world?

Perhaps it was simply that inside us all there is an Israel gene lying dormant to be truly awakened when we step foot on its land. A land where history disappears and we meander through Biblical times as easily as Moses or Jesus who return to stroll beside us.

We all felt, we all shed tears, we all knew we were in a blessed place. No matter Jewish or Christian, we shared a unique bond recognizing what we were witnessing and experiencing.

Israel is real. Trite to say perhaps, but also the most real we may ever feel. Emotions are heightened and there is vibrancy, a special lens through which our eyes see brighter, clearer and enhanced somehow.

I feel especially lucky to have been able to witness that it is not just a Jewish feeling, but transcends and encompasses the human race in its entirety. The Judeo-Christian world sharing this special time with wonderful new friends from all over the world like Pucci from Manila, Monique from Jakarta, Chris now living and working in Israel, Margaret from Kenya or Sylvia from Spain; everyone on the trip felt the same emotions. Fellow travelers so anxious to engage about their own personal Israel experience.

Walking up the hills of Jerusalem, Monique from Indonesia, Norma from the USA and Pucci from the Philippines [Miracles do happen, as the emphasis is on “walking!”]

That magnetic pull of history, an ancient legacy of love, hate, war, peace and hope. We all belong to the State of Israel and the State of Israel belongs in us all.

The Jewish people inherited the right to guard and protect its borders, to defend our homeland – this amazing paradise – from invading armies as we have done so throughout our history and will continue. Seeing soldiers with innocent young faces armed and prepared to give their lives for this ancient and charismatic land saddens and warms us at once.

It is our charge and our destiny, one the Jewish people embrace with joy and rapture.

We do not visit Israel; we all go home to Israel. Once you understand this, you really never leave her borders.

And may we all say, “Next Year in Jerusalem!”

“I AM COMING BACK!” “NEXT YEAR IN JERUSALEM!”

GoFundMe – Odelia, Lisa & Gal Shor’s Daughter

When I had need for extra funding for double-eye cataracts surgery, Ari Bussel was a primary contributor. I mention Ari’s generosity because helping to raise funds for his friends’ daughter Odelia to attend IDC Herzliya located in Israel. In checking out the situation the opportunity for Odelia is both educational and cultural relating to building a Jewish heritage connected to the Land of Israel.

Be sure to read Ari’s heartfelt promotion for funding an American Jewish gal to Israel, but below is the text from Odelia Shor’s GoFundMe page which I highly encourage readers (especially those that feel a connection to Israel) to visit and donate:

My name is Odelia Shor and  I have recently had the privilege of being accepted into a three year BA Program in Communications at one of the finest universities in Israel, Raphael Recanati International School IDC Herzliya. This is an amazing opportunity for me to move forward with my goal of becoming a spokesperson for Israel. Having the experience of living in Israel while studying in this program will provide me with the tools to find positive and creative ways to benefit Israel and other worthy causes.

To pursue this dream is a huge financial undertaking for me and my family, but I believe it will make all the difference in the outcome of my life.  If your heart is inclined towards Israel, as mine is, I humbly ask that you consider sowing seeds of faith towards my endeavors.

From the beginning, my Jewish identity and the Land of Israel have been ingrained into my life and etched in my soul. My name – Odelia – translates from our ancient language, “give thanks to God.” I am so thankful for my faith and rich heritage.

I grew up with an unwavering sense of self in supporting Israel. My parents’ lives revolve around their love and appreciation of Israel. My father is a journalist and the editor of an Israeli newspaper in Los Angeles. My mother works with a non-profit that raises support for the IDF, under-privileged children, victims of terror, as well as encouraging Christian support of Israel.

I love Israeli roots, history, and culture. I stay up to date on what is going on with current events in the arts and entertainment as well as the political situation. I sing, play piano, guitar, and perform Israeli music. One of my favorite things to do is capture footage and edit together short film and I have recently had the privilege of working on the set of a major Israeli TV production in L.A.

Some of the classes that will be available to me at the IDC include Culture and Society, News Media, Digital Storytelling, TV Production, and Radio Broadcasting. With media being a strong force in the future, I will gain the skills to create media content that reflects the beauty and the truth that is the state of Israel.

Currently, I am working as a receptionist at About Space Interior Design in El Segundo and attending classes at my local community college.

If given the opportunity, I will gain the knowledge,  wisdom, and experience that will assist me in playing a part in a bright future and the chance to become an example of Israeli excellence.

With love and appreciation,

Odelia Shor

I copied you here first to see and recognize and know, then if you can and would like, to act (and donate).

At the very least, I hope it will be an interesting reading, a tiny gift from me to you for having spent the time!

In last week’s issue of the Beverly Hill Courier was the insert Summer 2018 Beverly Hills Style.  There, on p. 34, Dina Leads, Bel Air philanthropist, born in Egypt and raised in West Hollywood, who is often seen on the pages of the paper in her role supporting Rabbi Mark Borovitz’s Beit T’Shuvah, is quoted:

“When anybody tells you what his or her charity is doing, if you’re human, it’s impossible not to have a heart for it.”

Why do we give?  Some (many in our community) give because they need to do so for tax reasons.  Most give for something close to their hearts.

There is not a university in Israel, or a hospital or even one of the major museums that does not show the name of a member of the Beverly Hills community.

And then, especially (but not only) in Beverly Hills, one gives because her friends ask her to give, and then – as the world turns around – she asks them to give.

Most known of all is likely Stanley Black, who along with a group of friends (Max Webb and others) constantly give; so people for very many years became accustomed to going to see them on Sunday morning and pitching for their projects at Cantor’s, the deli on Fairfax.  (Since, members of the group passed away, others moved and the rest are not young any more.  But fear not, money keeps flowing, and SB opens his estate on a regular basis for various charities as well as political endeavors.)

Let us turn to the case on hand.  My very dear friend and the editor of the largest circulation Hebrew paper in Greater LA and his wife are struggling to send their second daughter to college.  The first left a year ago to Israel to study at the IDC [See Also HERE], and now her sister is following suit.

Although the daughters are extraordinarily nice young women, full of the joy of life and passion and enthusiasm, they are part of a generation that is accustomed to getting everything, a generation that expects everything and is willing to assume little if any responsibility.

I come from a generation that had to do with what it had, had to work hard for everything it earned and knew to tighten the belt and to do with less, as circumstances may have dictated.

We also had dreams and aspirations, and as children we wanted a lot; more than our parents could afford.

I remember my greatest disappointment, when I could not go with a group of students from Beverly to the trip to Europe with Mickey Freedman and Dr. Henry Dersch of blessed memory.  It was 1985 and the group went to the Soviet Union.  One of the students was the daughter of the personal assistant to Armand Hammer of Occidental Petroleum.  (We all know the Oxy building in Westwood, with the top double glass-floor and the Armand Hammer Museum at the bottom.)

Hammer was the only person in the West who had complete access to the Soviet Union, having years earlier spent his money to send ships full of grain to the starving Soviets.

And thus, the students and teachers were treated to some places that only a handful of people ever saw or visited before, and that the chances that any of us would see in our life time was de minimis at best.  Who could have foreseen, who could have expected that not even a decade later the Soviet Union will collapse, and that the places visited would become accessible to all?!?

Life laughed with me about a dream that did not materialize, yet an opportunity that has not vanished!

Life; a most interesting concept.  I and others blind copied on this e-mail, dedicated two decades of our lives to serving in an organization founded by the late Gen. Shimon Erem, the Israel Christian Nexus.  After millennia of persecution, after the Destruction of the Temple, the Expulsion from the Holy Land, the Inquisition and dispersal throughout the Ottoman Empire, and most recently the Holocaust, Jewish-Christian relations were strained.

We, the Jewish People, murdered the Son of God, and for some two thousand years we suffered as a result of the notion that we were responsible; that we deserve punishment.

It is in this framework that Israelis and Jews on one side and Christians on the other did not trust one another, and still have deep feelings and issues.

In the midst rose a branch of Evangelical Christians who love, support and bless Israel and the Jewish People.  They believe in God and Country, family values and integrity and honesty.  They subscribe to the notation of what God wants from us:

Micah Chapter 6 מִיכָה

ח  הִגִּיד לְךָ אָדָם, מַה-טּוֹב; וּמָה-יְהוָה דּוֹרֵשׁ מִמְּךָ, כִּי אִם-עֲשׂוֹת מִשְׁפָּט וְאַהֲבַת חֶסֶד, וְהַצְנֵעַ לֶכֶת, עִם-אֱלֹהֶיךָ.  {ס} 8 It hath been told thee, O man, what is good, and what the LORD doth require of thee: only to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God. {S}

Into an unchartered territory came in a knight on a white horse.  A very stubborn and determined knight, one of the founders of the modern Jewish State of Israel.  Of course – he was Jewish, and the Jews have a tendency to be a very stubborn and stiff-necked people.

Shimon Erem established, long before Pastor John Hagee of CUFI (Christians United For Israel) and others more known today, an organization that set out to build bridges between Jews and Christians, for we must stand united.

It was Gal’s mother-in-law, Polly Pauline Grimes, who introduced Shimon z”l to the idea of working with the Christians.  We were all the beneficiaries, humble servants in this great army of people determined to work together, determined to protect and safeguard the tiny Jewish county, the fate of the 14 million Jewish people in the entire world.

Genesis Chapter 12

3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and him that curseth thee will I curse; and in thee shall all the families of the earth be blessed.’

So now we close a circle.  Mrs. Grimes’ daughter converted to Judaism, together with her husband Gal they had two daughters, the youngest who is 20 just completed her first year at the Interdisciplinary Center IDC Herzliya (sister city of Beverly Hills).  Now her older sister wants to do the same.

Not everything in life happens as we plan, wish or want; but in this case, we can all do our part to help.

Ecclesiastes Chapter 11 קֹהֶלֶת

א  שַׁלַּח לַחְמְךָ, עַל-פְּנֵי הַמָּיִם:  כִּי-בְרֹב הַיָּמִים, תִּמְצָאֶנּוּ. 1 Cast thy bread upon the waters, for thou shalt find it after many days.

Not every dream should [be]come a reality, so easily just for the asking.  I have seen firsthand how an American young woman, who speaks very little Hebrew is flourishing and changing as a result of being and studying in Israel.

During my generation, instilling a Jewish and Israeli identity happened by serving in the IDF.  The entire Lone Soldiers framework was recreated as a result of collaboration between a Minister of Defense (Rabin z”l), a local Consular Consul (Moshe Peer [?]), a colonel in charge of recruiting in the IDF (Tziko Oren) and a local father (my father, Dr. Bussel).  I was the test case.

Not enough went to Israel, and so American Jewry (not including Orthodox Jews) managed to lose the next generation.  They do not speak, read or write Hebrew.  They do not really know what to do in a synagogue.  They celebrate some of the holidays, and mix them with the culture around.  They intermarry.  And most regrettably, they do not see Israel as crucial to their existence any more.

Little do they understand that without a Jewish homeland in the Land of Israel, the Holocaust is bound to repeat itself.  That no Jew is safe anywhere around the world; current comforting appearances to the contrary.

Then came a program called Birthright Taglit, that exposes young Jews to the notion and meaning, beauty and existence of Israel.  It has successfully exposed Israel to this generation that has otherwise disconnected itself from Israel.

Living in Israel, be it for school or otherwise, makes one dedicated to Israel; and then that person continues serving this tiny-mighty country, the only Jewish Homeland in the world – our home and shelter and very essence – for the rest of one’s life.

So if you can, and if you are so inclined, be it at a most modest or a more substantial amount, or in some other manner, in a prayer or a blessing, please join and help:

Around the World without ever leaving Zion Jerusalem

Yup, I’m a Christian Zionist. As such I grow weary of all the hate-propaganda spewed against Israel and Jews. It’s high time you get a glimpse of the great things that are in Israel that seems overlapped by the hate-Israel crowd.

Ari Bussel takes us on a tour trip of Israel that should make Christians and Jews yearn to visit the Holy Land of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob (and not the land of Ishmael or religion-hating Marxists). Since I am more Gentile than Zionist, I added some links that brought me up to date on understanding. Enjoy the read.

Ari included a huge amount of photos in this submission of which I will post some (sorry –  not all) at the end of the tour of Israel.

Around the World without ever leaving Zion Jerusalem

Dear Friends,

Every time a foreign journalist arrives Israel, he or she ascends to Israel’s capital, Jerusalem, to get the official Press ID Card.

For an entire decade, upon my arrival to Israel, I would do exactly that.  I never wandered a bit farther than my destination.  I particularly avoided the shopping center next to the Government Press Office building, a clear “destination” for locals.

And yet, just around the hill (for Jerusalem is a City on the Hills), is a world unto its own, an oasis “hidden” in the valley, nestled among the hills.

There the world is gathered, and the Bible comes alive.

Much like in Noah’s time that the animals gathered in twos, entire species so they do not get extinct, so nowadays in the Holy City of Jerusalem.

And so it is told in Genesis 7:

יג  בְּעֶצֶם הַיּוֹם הַזֶּה בָּא נֹחַ, וְשֵׁם-וְחָם וָיֶפֶת בְּנֵי-נֹחַ; וְאֵשֶׁת נֹחַ, וּשְׁלֹשֶׁת נְשֵׁי-בָנָיו אִתָּם–אֶל-הַתֵּבָה.

13 In the selfsame day entered Noah, and Shem, and Ham, and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and Noah’s wife, and the three wives of his sons with them, into the ark;

14 they, and every beast after its kind, and all the cattle after their kind, and every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth after its kind, and every fowl after its kind, every bird of every sort.

15 And they went in unto Noah into the ark, two and two of all flesh wherein is the breath of life.

16 And they that went in, went in male and female of all flesh, as God commanded him; and the LORD shut him in.

Visitors to Israel

The best kept secret of the State of Israel is likely not its nuclear arsenal, as this is always reported by “foreign sources.”  Nor is it the ingenuity, creativity and innovation of the Jewish mind, for Israel has long been known as “Startup Nation.”  There are other well-kept-secrets, but these are all publicly discussed and the global rumor mill around them works non-stop.

Christian pilgrims arrive in droves to Israel to Walk in the Footsteps of Jesus.

Jews arrive here to celebrate a Bar/Bat-Mitzva (reaching adulthood ceremony for boys/girls), to visit family and friends and to witness the miracle of their homeland.  The holiest place in Judaism is the Temple Mount and its visible Western Wall.

Young Jews come here on Birthright-Taglit [Blog Editor: Apparently anti-Zionists (aka Leftists & Muslim Apologists) hate the concept of Birthright Taglit] visit for approximately ten days, to get to know their ancestral home and have fun during this process of discovery.

Europeans come here to bask in the sun.

Anarchists and other “human rights” activists come here to demonstrate against the only true Democracy in the entire region, and they are not interested in trying to help the Syrians, Yazidis, Coptic Egyptians, Kurds, those who oppose the Mullahs in Iran and other persecuted and oppressed minorities throughout the Middle East and Africa.  Only against Israel they come to fight; nothing else angers or even concerns them.

There are many who come here to get medical treatment (“medical and dental tourism”) for it is relatively inexpensive.

And many academicians and professionals come here for conferences, on cyber security and water, agriculture and emergency medicine, investment opportunities and commerce.

Perceptions of Israel vs. Reality

Those who arrive and have never been to Israel often think of an ultra-orthodox country like Afghanistan, a military country like North Korea, a desert with camels as the main form of transportation or an Apartheid state like South Africa of yesteryears.  We often hear of a “Separation Wall” and other non-sense accusations, which add to one’s wrong perceptions of Israel.

Upon arrival, a miracle is discovered, evolving in front of one’s very eyes.  A modern country that breathes history.  People of all skin-colors.  People of various faiths.  Freedoms the likes of which one can find no where else in the world.  A skyline resembling (almost) that of New York or Hong Kong.  Construction springing upwards everywhere.  The most magnificent wonders of nature and a man-made oasis in a region otherwise known for suffering from little or no water, very harsh conditions and very few natural resources.

Modernity, art, culture, history, archeology, fun, sun and water, music, travel – all mix into one amazing experience, with honking (a form of speech / conversation in Israel), little patience, no respect to lines or generally to order or orderly behavior added to spice up the mix.  It is never boring in Israel; is it a country that kicks, breathes and acts 24/7.

Unlike many of the Arab countries that stretch over enormous portions of land with black gold underneath, where some of the most wondrous construction projects take place, Israel is different.

Here one finds creativity and innovation, where almost every kid and every senior and everyone in-between is engaged in a startup of some sort.  And the “exits” one hears about went from hundreds of millions to $15b (the most recent).  The imagination is on fire, everyone dreams of the next big exit.

Beyond putting its fantastic minds to practical uses, Israel is the world being pregnant and having its children running and jumping up and down all around.  It is the most amazing picture to see and experience, for children here are safe, they are raised on the value of the sanctity of life and being a light unto the nations, of doing good, of not recognizing evil.

Children here are color-blind.  They do not differentiate one from the other based on one’s skin color, ethnicity or cultural background.  After two thousand years of forced absence, Israelis laugh at the so-called “differences” indicating countries of origin (Yemen, Iraq, Iran, Poland, Hungary, …).  They are all one – indistinguishable family – Israelis!

And children here, out of necessity, all go into the military, where rich and poor alike are treated equally, these and other differences stripped away and just the person remaining, with traits and values (either already acquired or needed to be learned and implemented).  They learn to serve and protect, and they become productive members of society.

It is only here in Israel that bad and evil (constant terrorism attacks and the threat of annihilation) is turned into something else, that out of grief and sorrow new branches sprout with ever-growing intensity and strength of being.

It is the home of the Jewish people, the only country in the world that is truly theirs.  Here, in the Land of Israel.

Bird Migration

Every year, hundreds of millions of (estimates are at half a billion) birds migrate via Israel’s skies.  They do so twice a year, in the Fall to escape the cold in Europe and Asia as they migrate south to Africa, and then in the Spring, as they return northward to their countries of origin.

Many just fly overhead on their way.  Others stop for a rest and recharge.  Some will stay here several months, either during the winter or during the summer, they like the accommodations so much they actually come back!

In short, Israel is the hub for bird migration, a phenomenon so unique in the world there is only one other place like it – Panama.  In Israel three continents meet, Asia, Europe and Africa, whereas in Panama the two Americas.

Flocks traveling together may number in the thousands or even tens of thousands (actually observed), and they add up to convoys numbering hundreds of thousands.

Several years ago, the Ministry of Tourism had invited foreign journalists stationed in Israel to view the migration of the cranes and the Hula Valley “Agamon” tourism park, a world-famous bird-watching site.

Israel is indeed famous for bird-watching and the twice-annual migration of birds, but yet, we are about to discover a secret only few know.

The Biblical Zoo in Jerusalem

So imagine my surprise when I discovered the members of the Tisch Family Zoological Gardens in Jerusalem.  I did not expect to meet male Asian elephants (a gift from Thailand), Asiatic lions, Syrian brown bears, red pandas, chimpanzees, entire types of monkeys, penguins, giraffes, zebras, hippopotamuses, parrots, birds of prey, deer and tigers, cheetahs, ostriches, Nile crocodile, and so many more animals.

One can see them in their natural “habitats.”  One can see them being fed, or just read the menu of what they eat each day.  One can take the trolley (warning:  no space, there are so many kids), or just walk around.  The hustle and bustle of the city around disappear, and one journeys to Africa or “Down Under,” to the Amazons or to the Sahara desert.  In fact, I realized that I can now “travel” to Africa and still continue to donate blood (it is otherwise prohibited, but not if one never leaves Israel!).

The place is so enormous yet manageable.  There is so much to see and experience, that one remains breathless.  As if the entire world has come here, to Noah’s Ark, to the Biblical Zoo in Jerusalem, to say “Welcome!  Cherish Us!  Celebrate with Us!  Protect Us!”

Indeed, only in Zion Jerusalem.

So during your next trip, come see Lemur Land, Australian or South American Yard, the West Side Story Exhibit or the Bible Land Wildlife Preserve.  You will need a ticket (approximately $12), and you will not regret it.  Or, you may want to make a very special repeat, or a first ever, trip to Israel, just for this purpose!

Facts and Figures

The Jerusalem Biblical Zoo was originally established in 1940 by Zoology Prof. Aharon Shulov of the Hebrew University.  It has since moved several times until it opened in 1993 in its current location.

The Zoo is home to more than 2,500 mammals, birds, reptiles and fish belonging to some 250 species.

The animals at the zoo are native to the land of Israel that are mention in the Bible, many of which have become extinct in the wild, alongside species from all over the world, many of which are endangered.

The zoo is spread over 250 dunks (roughly 62 acres).  The route inside is about two kilometers (1.25 miles) long.  It is shaded, comfortable and wheelchair-accessible.  Benches and water fountains are aplenty.

The zoo is opened seven days a week (although the Zoo Train does not operate on Jewish holidays and Saturdays).

The Jerusalem Biblical Zoo is administered as a non-profit organization and works in partnership with many conservation groups.  It is a partner in global conservation efforts to save endangered species.

Intro to ‘Jerusalem Gold’ Press Release

Fifty-years ago from June 5, 1967; three Arab armies mobilized on the Israeli border itching for yet another shot to destroy the Jewish State. This is significant because the Six-Day War of 1967 returned the whole of Jerusalem to its Jewish heritage. On June 7, the IDF entered Eastern Jerusalem.

Ari Bussel sent me a press release that the Jewish community in the Los Angeles area will have a Jerusalem Remembrance Day commemorating the return of the City of David back to Israeli sovereignty.

VIDEO: Jerusalem – 1967 – The Six-Day War English

Here are some relevant excerpts on the 1967 Arab mobilization and Israel’s response at the Jewish Virtual Library:

… Israel repeatedly protested the Syrian bombardments to the UN Mixed Armistice Commission, which was charged with policing the cease-fire, but the UN did nothing to stop Syria’s aggression — even a mild Security Council resolution expressing “regret” for such incidents was vetoed by the Soviet Union. Meanwhile, Israel was condemned by the United Nations when it retaliated.

While the Syrian military bombardment and terrorist attacks intensified, Nasser’s rhetoric became increasingly bellicose. In 1965, he announced, “We shall not enter Palestine with its soil covered in sand; we shall enter it with its soil saturated in blood.”(4)

Syria’s attacks on Israeli kibbutzim from the Golan Heights finally provoked a retaliatory strike on April 7, 1967. During the attack, Israeli planes shot down six Syrian fighter planes — MiGs supplied by the Soviet Union. Shortly thereafter, the Soviets — who had been providing military and economic assistance to both Syria and Egypt — gave Damascus false information alleging a massive Israeli military buildup in preparation for an attack. Despite Israeli denials, Syria decided to invoke its defense treaty with Egypt and asked Nasser to come to its aid.

Countdown to War

On May 15, Israel’s Independence Day, Egyptian troops began moving into the Sinai and massing near the Israeli border. By May 18, Syrian troops were prepared for battle along the Golan Heights.

Nasser ordered the UN Emergency Force (UNEF), stationed in the Sinai since 1956 as a buffer between Israeli and Egyptian forces after Israel’s withdrawal following the Sinai Campaign, to withdraw on May 16. Without bringing the matter to the attention of the General Assembly (as his predecessor had promised), Secretary-General U Thant complied with the demand. …

The Blockade

On May 22, Egypt closed the Straits of Tiran to all Israeli shipping and all ships bound for Eilat. This blockade cut off Israel’s only supply route with Asia and stopped the flow of oil from its main supplier, Iran.

King Hussein of Jordan signed a defense pact with Egypt on May 30. Nasser then announced:

The armies of Egypt, Jordan, Syria and Lebanon are poised on the borders of Israel…to face the challenge, while standing behind us are the armies of Iraq, Algeria, Kuwait, Sudan and the whole Arab nation. This act will astound the world. Today they will know that the Arabs are arranged for battle, the critical hour has arrived. We have reached the stage of serious action and not declarations.(13)

The Arab rhetoric was matched by the mobilization of Arab forces. Approximately 465,000 troops, more than 2,800 tanks, and 800 aircraft ringed Israel.(15)

Israel decided to preempt the expected Arab attack. To do this successfully, Israel needed the element of surprise. Had it waited for an Arab invasion, Israel would have been at a potentially catastrophic disadvantage. On June 5, Prime Minister Eshkol gave the order to attack Egypt.

On June 5, 1967, Israel was isolated, but its military commanders had conceived a brilliant war strategy. The entire Israeli Air Force, with the exception of just 12 fighters assigned to defend Israeli air space, took off at 7:14 a.m. in  Operation Moked (aka Operation Focus) with the intent of bombing Egyptian airfields while the Egyptian pilots were eating breakfast. By 11:05 a.m. 180 Egyptian fighter planes were destroyed. Defense Minister Moshe Dayan was not planning to attack Syria until the Syrians attacked Tiberias and Megiddo. Israeli fighters subsequently attacked the Syrian and Jordanian air forces, as well as one airfield in Iraq. By the end of the first day, most of the Egyptian and half the Syrian air forces had been destroyed on the ground.

… On June 9, at 5:45 a.m., the head of Southern Command informed the chief of staff: “IDF forces are on the banks of the Suez Canal and the Red Sea. …

Jerusalem Is Attacked

Initially, Israel did not plan to capture the West Bank. …

Prime Minister Levi Eshkol sent a message to King Hussein on June 5 saying Israel would not attack Jordan unless he initiated hostilities. When Jordanian radar picked up a cluster of planes flying from Egypt to Israel, and the Egyptians convinced Hussein the planes were theirs, he ordered the shelling of West Jerusalem. It turned out that the planes were Israel’s and were returning from destroying the Egyptian air force on the ground.

Hussein’s decision changed the course of the war. Israel counterattacked. …

At 6:15 a.m. on June 7, Dayan ordered the encirclement of the Old City and instructed the army to enter. Israeli paratroopers stormed the city and secured it. At 10:08 a.m., according to the army diary, a message was received, saying, “The Temple Mount is in our hands and our forces are by the [Western] Wall.” … [Bold Text Editor’s]

After just six days of fighting, Israeli forces were in a position to march on Cairo, Damascus, and Amman. By this time, the principal objectives of capturing the Sinai and the Golan Heights had been accomplished, and Israeli political leaders had no desire to fight in the Arab capitals. Furthermore, the Soviet Union had become increasingly alarmed by the Israeli advances and was threatening to intervene. At this point, U.S. Secretary of State Dean Rusk advised the Israelis “in the strongest possible terms” to accept a cease-fire. On June 10, Israel did just that.

READ ENTIRETY (The Six-Day War: Background & Overview; Sourced from Mitchell G. Bard; Jewish Virtual Library; source © 2008)

I don’t know if you realize it, but Israel acquiring portions of their heritage in 1967 is not only of historical significance, it is also of Biblical significance. I can’t pinpoint the Judaic significance due to a bit of ignorance on my part. However, the Christian prophetic perspective points to another sign the Last Days are around the corner and the soon return of Jesus the Christ to restore the full Redemption not only of humanity but also a restoration of the whole earth.

1 Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea. Then I, John,[a] saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”

Then He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” And He said to me,[b] “Write, for these words are true and faithful.” (Revelation 21: 1-5 NKJV)

Jerusalem of Gold

The official Los Angeles celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the Reunification of Jerusalem

Press Release Sent by Ari Bussel

Sent 5/22/2017 12:13 AM

June 7th, 2017, 7:30PM

Simon Wiesenthal Center’s Museum of Tolerance, Los Angeles

In 2017, and for the past 50 years, there is only one place in the entire Middle East and the African continent where freedom of religion is paramount, and people as well as holy sites flourish, as they are protected by law and by practice.

This place is Jerusalem, Israel’s capital from Biblical to present times. For two thousand years, the Jewish people yearned to return to their homeland and to the holy city of Jerusalem.

Here, Abraham prepared to sacrifice his son Isaac as a test of his loyalty to God the Almighty; Jacob dreamed of the ladder with angels ascending and descending; King David conquered the city and made it his capital, bringing the Ark of the Covenant here; His son King Solomon built the First Temple, a magnificent marvel; the First and Second Temple were then destroyed, but a portion of the Western Wall remains to this very day; and here is where Jesus walked in the Way of Suffering, Via Dolorosa, was crucified and then resurrected.

The Prophet Isaiah instructed and highlighted (66:10): “Rejoice with Jerusalem and be glad with her, all who love her!” the city “Jerusalem that is built as a city which is joined together” (Psalms 122:3) and which is remembered and constantly highlighted “If I forget you, O Jerusalem, let my right hand forget her cunning, let my tongue cleave to the roof of my mouth if I remember thee not, if I set not Jerusalem above my chiefest joy” (Psalms 137:5-6).

It is in this spirit, 50 years to the date from when the Israeli flag was raised over the Temple Mount, that Christians and Jews and other minorities will gather and declare:

There is no other place like Jerusalem, Jerusalem of Gold, the City of God!

Throughout the Middle East and Africa Christians and other minorities are being raped, sold to slavery, executed en masse (including Muslims in the hands of other Muslims) and murdered, and holy places (churches, mosques, etc.) are desecrated, burned to the ground and destroyed. Jerusalem is the only place where freedom of religion and protection of religious rights and institutions is by law and practice.

Jerusalem is the only place that for the past 50 years church bells can be heard, as well as the Muezzin call to prayer. Jews walk freely, living their daily lives side by side other minorities. Jerusalem is the only place in the entire region and beyond where the Christian population experiences a net positive growth; where minorities feel safe and welcome.

This is the theme being highlighted, under the banner “The City of Angels Saluting the City of God.” A unique evening celebrating a Jubilee of humanity flourishing.

Despite UNESCO’s bias, Jews won’t abandon Israel’s holy Jewish sites

Forget fake news. UNESCO is promoting an entire fake universe.

Like so many other UN agencies with an assured anti-Israel majority, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) regularly votes to deny some aspect of Israel’s legitimacy. Their diplomatic machinations at UNESCO serves as the backbone of much of the Muslim world’s refusal to recognize the Jewish people’s historic links to Israel, the Holy Land.

To legitimate their denial of the past and today’s reality of a Jewish state with more than 8 million citizens, history itself must be re-written, holy sites rebranded. That’s where the Orwellian leveraging of the agency whose raison d’etre is supposed to be the protection of history and culture — not its eradication — comes into play.

UNESCO’s new resolution, timed to coincide with Israel’s 69th Independence Day on Tuesday, May 2, rejects Israeli sovereignty over any part of Jerusalem, including modern West Jerusalem.

The resolution passed with 22 nations supporting the measure, 10 opposing it, 23 countries abstaining, and three absent.

It’s not just Trump, Europe forgets the Holocaust’s Jewish victims by Rabbi Abraham Cooper & Dr. Harold Brackman… http://fb.me/5sdBG0OuS

In its text, Rachel’s Tomb and the Tomb of the Patriarchs where Abraham, Sarah, Isaac, Rivka, Jacob and Leah are buried were repackaged as Muslim mosques. To her credit, Irina Bokova, UNESCO’s Director-General, has been a consistent critic of the charade. “To deny, conceal, or erase any of the Jewish, Christian or Muslim traditions runs counter to the reasons that justified its inscription on the UNESCO World Heritage list,” she insisted last year. But Madam Bokova’s term shortly expiries and Israel’s opponents could soon have a firmer grip.

What is particularly galling was the role Germany reportedly played in enabling fellow European Union members to be free to support for this outrage.

If the German Foreign Minister or any other European diplomat thinks this cynical maneuver which further fuels dreams of an alternative universe sans Israelis will impact Jews in Israel or around the world, they are dead wrong.

Jerusalem is the heart of the Jewish people. Centuries ago, long before anyone heard of Mohammed, Jews understood the importance of the city that King David built and made his capital. They built two temples there, which became focal points for their religion and their peoplehood, maintaining that centrality, even in times that it lay in ruins. “If I forget thee, O Jerusalem, let my right hand fail me,” spoke the prophet.

In their unparalleled, 2,000-year exile before returning home in modern times, Jews never left Jerusalem. A small group remained in the Holy Land throughout; the rest, scattered literally around the world, were united by the shared prayers offered three times a day for the return to Zion. Jews survived the Crusades, TorquemadaChmielnicki and Hitler without ever diluting their passion for Jerusalem.

The Jewish people will not abide by the ballot box stuffing of morally bankrupt regimes at UNESCO and they won’t forget when Arab were custodians of Jerusalem’s Old City, seized during the 1948 war of independence. Synagogues in the Old City were razed. Tombstones became latrines. Jews were barred from visiting holy sites. Christians took note of the mindset of the conquerors and reacted with horror at the thought that the Church of the Holy Sepulcher could become the next Palmyra.

Indeed, anyone concerned with the protection of educational, scientific, and cultural treasures of others, should look at Israel’s record. It may be the only country in the Middle East in recent years where the Christian population has consistently increased. The Jerusalem municipality gives out free Christmas trees to its Christian citizens each year. (If it only gave out one, that would be more than the number of Christians and Jews allowed to visit Mecca!) When different Christian sects come to blows occasionally over the administration of their holy sites, it is the Israeli police whom they call in to restore peace.

Israel’s sovereignty over Jerusalem is the only guarantee that holy places will be preserved for everyone.

Reality and mutual respect, not fantasy, are the first building blocks of trust and treaties. It is a toss-up as to who has done more damage with the latest UN Middle East fiasco — Arab regimes that continue to deny that the Jewish people has risen from the ashes, or dapper European diplomats who think they can still denigrate cowering Jews. Take note Berlin and Brussels. Those days are over.

WATCH: The UN is erasing Jewish historical connection to the Temple Mount, the most sacred site in Judaism.
Join us and demand the UN explicitly recognize Judaism’s history on the Temple Mount and Western Wall at:

http://tip.nationbuilder.com/unesco

On October 14, 2016 the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) ruled the Temple Mount has no Jewish history but has Islamic history.

The irony is Mexico contemplated forcing a re-vote but Western nations more friendly to Islam than to the ancient heritage of persuaded Mexico to withdraw re-vote request from UNESCO. Here is an excerpt from the Middle East Monitor –  examine the 10/14 yeas, nays and abstentions:

How countries voted previously

Countries in support of the motion:

Algeria, Bangladesh, Brazil, Chad, China, Dominican Republic, Egypt, Iran, Lebanon, Malaysia, Mauritania, Mexico, Morocco, Mozambique, Nicaragua, Nigeria, Oman, Pakistan, Qatar, Russia, Senegal, South Africa, Sudan and Vietnam

Those against:

Israel, Estonia, Germany, Lithuania, the Netherlands, the UK and the US

Abstentions:

Albania, Argentina, Cameroon, Cote de’Ivoire, El Salvador, Spain, France, Ghana, Greece, Guinea, Haiti, India, Italy, Japan, Kenya, Nepal, Uganda, Paraguay, South Korea, St. Kits and Nevis, Slovenia, Sri Lanka, Sweden, Togo, Trinidad and Ukraine

Absent countries:

Serbia and Turkmenistan (MEM; 10/18/16 10:24 am)

Here are the interesting behind the scenes story on Mexico wavering:

Mexico was one of several countries who approved the UNESCO Jerusalem Resolution. Six of the other nations opposed and another 26 refused to vote. But, on Monday, Mexico reportedly changed its stance on its vote and will pass up on the second vote.

Mexico’s Foreign Ministry said that the country recognizes the link between the Jewish people and East Jerusalem. He added that the government wishes to express its deep appreciation for the Jewish community and for its economic, social and cultural contributions to Mexico.

UNESCO Jerusalem Resolution: Why Mexico Changed Its Decision

Mexico’s change in decision on the UNESCO Jerusalem Resolution happened after its own Ambassador, Andres Roemer, walked out after the Thursday vote. It was reportedly a personal vendetta against Mexico’s decision favoring the Jerusalem resolution.

In the meantime, the Mexican government has removed Ambassador Roemer, a Mexican Jew, from office immediately on Tuesday. This happened despite Mexican Jewish community protests.

Below are some Christian Israel-friendly posts encouraging you to sign a petition for Congress to place pressure on the United Nations. You KNOW President Barack Hussein Obama won’t holler for a revote, even though he dared not have the USA vote in favor of removing Jewish history in an election climate that needs traditional Jewish-Dems to vote for Crooked Hillary. And if Crooked Hillary is elected in November YOU KNOW she won’t do anything to correct the UN’s historical revisionism.

Ergo, check out these posts. Sign the petitions. AND BETTER YET, call or write your Congressman and Senators to makes some noise against UNESCO!

UNESCO is unbelievable!

From the desk of Mat Staver:

10/16/2016

On Thursday, UNESCO, the UN cultural agency, passed a resolution which rejects the Jewish connection to Jerusalem. The latest outrage is wholly anti-Semitic, fraught with revisionist history, and excoriates the Israeli government. It should come as no surprise that the “Occupied Palestine” resolution was submitted by six Muslim nations: Algeria, Egypt, Lebanon, Morocco, Oman, Qatar, and Sudan.

UNESCO wants us to believe:

  • That Judaism has no historical or rightful connection to the holy sites of the Temple Mount and the Western Wall. It refers to these sites only by their Muslim names. It is in total disregard of biblical history dating back to the Old Testament.
  • It condemns Israel and refers to the Jewish State 14 times as “the Occupying power.”
  • It calls for safeguards of the Palestinian cultural heritage and the distinctive character of east Jerusalem (a divided Jerusalem).
  • It charges Israel with a long list of offenses, including fostering terrorism.

Reaction to the vote has been swift and strong:

  • In the wake of UNESCO’s action, Israel has cut or frozen ties with UNESCO
  • Israeli Education Minister Naftali Bennett said UNESCO was ignoring “thousands of years of Jewish ties to Jerusalem” and aiding “Islamist terror”.
  • Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that UNESCO had become a “theater of the absurd” in “another delusional decision”.
  • Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat said he was “outraged” by the resolution. “Would UNESCO vote to deny the Christian connection to the Vatican? Or the Muslim connection to Mecca? The UNESCO vote claims that there is no connection between the Jewish people and the Western Wall. In fact, it is the UNESCO vote that has no connection to reality.”

The resolution will now be submitted to UNESCO’s executive body, which will vote on whether to adopt it.” The Associated Press reports the “validated resolution” is expected to be heard early next week.

+ + We are calling for the United States government to launch an action of support for Israel!

With UNESCO attempting to erase Jewish history in Jerusalem, Christians in Defense of Israel is petitioning Congress to uphold Jerusalem as the eternal capital of Israel. With your help, we are urging lawmakers to take action on behalf of The Jerusalem Embassy Act of 1995, acknowledge Jerusalem as the undisputed and undivided capital of Israel, and move the U.S. Embassy to the City of David.
We believe that this declaration will send a message to the entire world that Jerusalem and its holy sites belong to Israel!
John, stand with us by adding your name to our I Stand With Israel and Jerusalem as its Undivided Capital petition.

CIDI representatives will hand deliver the petitions to lawmakers on Capitol Hill as soon as we have enough signatures to make an impact. We are about half way toward our initial goal of 25,000 signers. Click here to join with us.

UN body ratifies decision to erase Jewish history at the Temple Mount

Sent: 10/18/2016 11:16 PM

From: The Israel Project

Early this morning, the executive committee of UNESCO ratified the decision to erase Jewish history on the Temple Mount. It is now the official position to ignore Judaism’s 3,000 year history at the site.

A dangerous precedent has been set – a UN body is calling Israel “the occupying power” at the Western Wall and essentially denying the historical facts that tie Israel to Jerusalem. It could have serious implications on Israel’s future.

It is time to fight fire with fire. More than 23,000 people have signed our petition demanding the UN explicitly recognize Judaism’s history on the Temple Mount and Western Wall – will you join them?

Click here to add your name and demand the UN explicitly recognize Judaism’s history on the Temple Mount and Western Wall

UNESCO didn’t just erase Jewish history, they erased Christian history at the holy site as well. Scripture says Jesus prayed at the Temple. There’s evidence that Byzantine Christians used the Temple Mount before the Muslim conquest of Jerusalem. But in UNESCO’s resolution, all history – other than Islamic history – was erased.

If we don’t act now, Judaism could lose its place at its most sacred site and Israel’s international standing could be in danger. In the face of this travesty, we must stand up for Israel.

41 Senators, Representatives and more than 23,000 signers to our petition oppose UNESCO’s anti-Israel resolution. Will you, your friends and your family join them?

ICEJ STATEMENT ON UNESCO VOTE

Resolution denies any Jewish connection to holy sites

By Dr. Jürgen Bühler, Executive Director

15 Oct 2016 (All day) +0200

International Christian Embassy Jerusalem

We are utterly dismayed that UNESCO has adopted once again a scandalous resolution denying any Jewish connection to the holy sites in Jerusalem and the Land of Israel, including the Temple Mount.

The resolution omits the traditional, biblical names of sacred Jewish sites, calling them by alternative Muslim names only. This is tantamount to rewriting history and stripping these sites of their 4,000 years of Jewish and 2,000 years of Christian connection. We, as Christians, are deeply concerned that the wording accepted by an international body intends to eradicate any Jewish and Christian bonds to these holy places.

This represents a calculated insult against the Jewish people and an affront to two billion Christians worldwide who know full well that as a faithful Jew, Jesus regularly visited the holy Jewish Temple on this site, taught there, and was zealous for its calling as a “house of prayer for all nations.”

The International Christian Embassy Jerusalem is now hosting over 5,000 Christians from nearly 100 nations for a Christian celebration of the biblical Feast of Tabernacles in Jerusalem. Their presence in this city to mark a Jewish festival at this time demonstrates the historic continuity between our respective faiths and the special place Jerusalem and the Temple Mount in particular hold for Jews and Christians alike. So on behalf of these Christian pilgrims and the millions more they represent back in their home countries, we want to affirm to the Israeli public that we respect the Jewish reverence for Jerusalem and the Temple Mount, and we will stand with you in confronting this devious assault on the historic sites in Israel.

The ICEJ had already activated our national branches over recent weeks to work towards changing the wording of this disgraceful UNESCO resolution. And you can rest assured that we will never forget Jerusalem! (Psalm 137:5-6)

Yurki and Dajjal Discussion based on ‘Terror in Israel’ Part 1

Yurki1000 (Jyrki) and Dajjal begin a discussion that was inspired by the post Terror in Israel written by Ari Bussel and posted on October 12, 2015. This particular post was located on my NCCR blog (I cross post on two other blogs). Ari gives a man-on-site description of Islamic terrorism up to October 12. Sadly the Jew-hatred Islamic terrorism is still ongoing as of today October 28.

This portion of Yurki/Dajjal comments with a few interjections by yours truly is a discussion primarily of the validity of Jewish heritage. Ill be honest I line up more with Dajjal than Yurkis train of thought, especially on the origin of the Jews. Yurki plants the beginnings of his thoughts of authentic Christianity. I have disagreements with Yurki, but I am very flexible on who I consider a Christian or a heretical Christian. As long as a person believes Jesus is the Son of God fully man and fully God, died on the Cross, entombed as a man for three days and arising on the Third Day as fully man and fully God with His Divine prerogatives fully restore in a Glorified body sitting on the right hand of the Father.

In my humble opinion if anyone follows this simple faith they are a Christian, a part of the family of God by adoption through Christ and a citizen of the kingdom of God through Christ. Any variance beyond this dogmatic opinion not worth getting bent out of shape over.

As I understand the real Jews and the real Christians do not need the hand-made temple. I think that the Jesuits and the Zionists need the third temple because they wait for their christ and messiah.

The newest DNA scientific studies, showing that the people known as the Jews of Israeland, indeed Jews all over the worldare, in fact, of Khazar, not Israelite origins, is backed by the earlier work of historians.

These historians found that their scholarly books and reports were immediately attacked by Zionists desperate to maintain the fiction that the Jews could trace their heritage all the way back to Abraham.

The Zionists knew the truththat they are not a race but a composite of many races. They had to keep up the myth that they were a homogenous race kept together by religion and community interests for 5,000 years. Only in this way could the Zionist Jews claim to be the seed of Abraham. Only as Israelites could the Jews claim possession to land where they and their ancestors had never been.

The Zionists knew, too, that their genocide and ethnic cleansing against the Palestinians was not justified unless they, the Jews, had claim to the land. How else could they get the millions of evangelical Christians to support their horrible behavior?

If they were suspected of being converts to Judaism and not actually the tribes mentioned in the Bible, it was all over for them. Their Lie would be outthey would be seen for what they areimposters.

Dajjal on Yurkis Jewish assertion

October 14, 2015 at 7:11 PM

Horseradish! The genetic studies I have seen and believe indicate the presence of Cohanim in the Jewish population of Israel.

[Blog Editor: I did a little digging on the Jewish gene issue (certainly not comprehensive but good enough for me). As to the Ashkenazi (considered European) Jews, Yurki will contend that their origins are Khazar or African rather than Middle Eastern. Recent science refutes this to my satisfaction. A 2013 genetic study shows the a majority of Ashkenazi Jewish heritage is of a European origin BUT hardly anything to do with Khazars and of those European Jews nearly all of them showed Middle Eastern genetic markers. Thus also eliminating the African origination of the 12 tribes of Israel. Certainly after thousands of years of dispersion it is expected that Jewish Middle Easterners intermarried with the host nation they ended up in rather it was European, African, Hindi, Arabic etc. The intermarriage does NOT lessen the Jewish heritage to the Land of Promise made to Abraham to his lineage that was passed through Isaac and Jacob (renamed Israel by God Almighty).

The overwhelming majority of Jews living today should be able to trace their roots back to the Middle East with a little DNA testing, he maintains, and all those who claim otherwise, as far as he’s concerned, have their history wrong.

“We’re not interlopers who came here from Eastern Europe, and we’re not Serbs or Kazars,” says Greenspan. “You can use whatever polemic you want to discredit the Jews or discredit the nation, but saying that we weren’t here is a lie.”

Greenspan was referring to the controversial book written by Tel Aviv University historian Shlomo Sand, which asserts that the Jews of today did not originate in this part of the world and that a “nation-race” of Jews never existed. Most of today’s Jews, he argues in “The Invention of the Jewish People” (2008), are the descendants of people who lived elsewhere in the world and were converted to Judaism. However, a major study published two years later by Harry Ostrer, a medical geneticist from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, claims that many contemporary Jews do, indeed, have a distinctive genetic signature and can trace their ancestry back to the Middle East.

… In response to a question from Haaretz, Greenspan said he estimates that “No less than 75 percent of Ashkenazi, Sephardi or Mizrahi Jews, their ancestors came from what we call the general Middle East” – an assessment which he says is based on his company’s database.

Israel Flag with Acts 7:43

[Blog Editor: A long the lines of Yurki’s thoughts of racial Judaism it is my humble opinion Act 7:43 may be taken out of context. Check out the entire context:

37 “This is that Moses who said to the children of Israel,[a] The Lord your God will raise up for you a Prophet like me from your brethren. Him you shall hear.[b]

38 This is he who was in the congregation in the wilderness with the Angel who spoke to him on Mount Sinai, and with our fathers, the one who received the living oracles to give to us, 39 whom our fathers would not obey, but rejected. And in their hearts they turned back to Egypt, 40 saying to Aaron, Make us gods to go before us; as for this Moses who brought us out of the land of Egypt, we do not know what has become of him.[c]41 And they made a calf in those days, offered sacrifices to the idol, and rejoiced in the works of their own hands. 42 Then God turned and gave them up to worship the host of heaven, as it is written in the book of the Prophets:

Did you offer Me slaughtered animals and sacrifices during forty years in the wilderness,
O house of Israel?
43 You also took up the tabernacle of Moloch,
And the star of your god Remphan,
Images which you made to worship;
And I will carry you away beyond Babylon.[d]

44 Our fathers had the tabernacle of witness in the wilderness, as He appointed, instructing Moses to make it according to the pattern that he had seen, 45 which our fathers, having received it in turn, also brought with Joshua into the land possessed by the Gentiles, whom God drove out before the face of our fathers until the days of David, 46 who found favor before God and asked to find a dwelling for the God of Jacob. 47 But Solomon built Him a house.

48 However, the Most High does not dwell in temples made with hands, as the prophet says:

49 Heaven is My throne,
And earth is My footstool.
What house will you build for Me? says the Lord,
Or what is the place of My rest?
50 Has My hand not made all these things?[e]

51 You stiff-necked and uncircumcised in heart and ears! You always resist the Holy Spirit; as your fathers did, so do you. 52 Which of the prophets did your fathers not persecute? And they killed those who foretold the coming of the Just One, of whom you now have become the betrayers and murderers, 53 who have received the law by the direction of angels and have not kept it. (Acts 7: 37-53 NKJV)

When Israel was in disobedience they sinned against God. The same standard applies to professing Christians. The Blessings and Promises made to the descendants of Abraham onward through Isaac and Jacob (renamed Israel) are in effect for Christians by the Redeeming Blood of Jesus adopting and engrafting into the Jewish lineage via the Tribe of Judah.]

Thanks Dajjal. Im learning 🙂

No Star Of David

https://www.google.fi/#q=star%20god%20remphan%20moloch

[Blog Editor: The Google Search link above associates the Star of David with the star the pagan god Molech represented. Again when “Molech” was worshipped by the Hebrew tribes it was an act of disobedience. Frankly I don’t know where the “Star of David” came from, but if it is something chosen by David I have doubts that a Molech association was made since David is recorded as being a man after God’s own heart.]

A Further Dajjal Comment to Yurki1000

October 17, 2015 at 3:19 AM

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Y-chromosomal_Aaron

Although membership in the Jewish community has, since at least the second century CE, been passed maternally (see: Who is a Jew?), tribal identity, and membership in the group that originally comprised the Jewish priesthood (Cohen or Kohen; plural: Cohanim or Kohanim), has been patrilineal. Modern Kohanim claim descent from a biblical person, Aaron, brother of Moses, in the direct lineage from Levi, the patriarch of the Tribe of Levi, great grandson of Abraham, according to the tradition codified in the Tanakh (שמות / Sh’mot/Exodus 6). DNA testing is aiding scholars to trace the lineages found among modern Jewish populations, including contemporary Cohen families, to decipher origins of the people groups who were joined to the ancient Israelites and to identify genetic admixture and genetic drift.

Limitations

One source of early confusion was a widespread popular notion that only Cohens or only Jews could have the Cohen Modal Haplotype. It is now clear that this is not the case. The Cohen Modal Haplotype (CMH), while frequent amongst Cohens, also appears in the general populations of haplogroups J1 and J2 with no particular link to the Cohen ancestry. These haplogroups occur widely throughout the Middle East and beyond.[10][11] Thus, while many Cohens have haplotypes close to the CMH, a greater number of such haplotypes worldwide belong to people with no likely Cohen connection at all.

On the other hand, Jewish populations were found to have a “markedly higher” proportion of full 6/6 matches, according to the same (2005) meta-analysis,[12] compared to these non-Jewish populations, where “individuals matching at only 5/6 markers are most commonly observed”.[12]READ ENTIRETY [Blog Editor: Article initially casts doubt on Jewish gene, but essentially confirms Jewish gene.]

Wider genetic studies of diverse present day Jewish communities show a remarkable genetic cohesiveness. Jews from Iran, Iraq, Yemen, North Africa and European Ashkenazim all cluster together with other Semitic groups, with their origin in the Middle East. A common geographical origin can be seen for all mainstream Jewish groups studied.

This genetic research has clearly refuted the once-current libel that the Ashkenazi Jews are not related to the ancient Hebrews, but are descendants of the Kuzar tribe–a pre-10th century Turko-Asian empire which reportedly converted en masse to Judaism. Researchers compared the DNA signature of the Ashkenazi Jews against those of Turkish-derived people, and found no correspondence. READ ENTIRETY [Blog Editor: Confirms my train of thought.]

Dajjal. I dont know Cohens. Maybe I cant combine things but I Search & Share. I thank God for you and Oneway2day 🙂

The results of the DNA studies [of the Lemba people of South Africa] were stunning: a significant portion of the Lemba Y chromosomes exhibit the characteristic genetic signature found in the cohanim, including more than 50 percent of the Buba, one of the 12 Lemba clans. These markers have also turned up in the Bene Israel, the oldest Jewish community in India (excerpts from pages 182-183)

Jews migrated, were exiled and did some mixing. Israel has recognized and accepted Ethiopian and Indian Jews.

TY Dajjal. I was thinking. Does anybody know JACOBs genes?

The children of Jacob spawned the Judeo-Christian people, with their nurturing ethic and a culture of caring for others. Jacob was a man of the flocks and herds. He was to be found near the tents of Isaac, his father, and Rebekkah his mother. He was drawn into the character and ways of the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. That was the way it was way back at the beginning. And that is the way it remains today.

http://www.khazaria.com/genetics/abstracts-cohen-levite.html

After the passing of King David and King Solomon King Rehoboam took the throne of Israel. Solomon had married hundreds of foreign wives who brought their idolatrous religion into Israel. The compromise with all these gods of the surrounding nations was now beginning to take its spiritual toll. The glory of Israel was departing. Israel was in serious decline. And as always happens to a kingdom when the glory is departing, the financial power went down with it. And so the royal tribe of Judah in the south was trying to compensate for this using the ways of this world.

Rejecting the traditions of all movements, Christian or otherwise (Col.2:8), the New Covenant Church of God elected at its inception that it would follow only the teachings of God, His Son Jesus Christ, the prophets and the apostles in other words, the Word of God. Trusting as we do in words of eternal life (John 6:68), we declare: Let God be true, and every man a liar!

This website lays a strong emphasis on deliverance ministries on account of the accute demonisation of society caused by a resurgence of paganism and false religion. Any theology and spiritual system that ignores these truths and principles is doomed from the start. We often highlight those things which are not popular with the liberal mindset because they are major obstacles to spiritual liberation.

SERIOUS

Dr. Levon Yepiskoposyan (Yerevan, Armenia), Head of the Institute of Man and President of the Armenian Anthropological Society:

Indeed there are some evidences of genetic relation between Armenians and Jews. Jewish population could preserve genetic signature of their ancient ancestors in male Y chromosome in genetically isolated communities of Cohanim. It is so called Cohanim modal haplotype CMH. We found the presence of CMH in modern Armenians as well. This is a strong evidence of ancient genetic contacts between Armenians and Hebrews. We suppose that these contacts took place about 3-4k years ago.

http://www.khazaria.com/genetics/abstracts-cohen-levite.html

The Armenian people trace their history back to the Bronze Age. At the height of its power in the first century BC, the Armenian kingdom controlled the territory between the Caspian Sea and the Mediterranean Sea in an area roughly equivalent to modern-day Turkey. Christianity spread into the region soon after the death of Christ with the establishment of numerous Christian communities. In 301 [AD], Armenia became the first state to proclaim Christianity its official religion.

The atrocities began in the spring of 1915 with the methodical killing of as many young, able-bodied Armenian men as possible. This was followed by the forced evacuation of thousands of Armenians from their homeland to the desert area in what today is Syria. Compelled to make the journey on foot and continually attacked throughout their trek, thousands died. It is estimated that between 600,000 and 1.5 million Armenians lost their lives during this period.

Be not deceived. English language courses are common in Europe and South America. When the Kasparov chess site was on line, I chatted with Europeans who write better than many Americans. I only beat two Masters, both were drunk at the time, but still communicated in English.

NO PLACE IS SAFE

The faces of Jew-hating Muslims that killed Eitam & Naama Henkins

About the eulogy for Rabbi Eitam Henkin and his wife Naama that took place at the Mount of Rest Cemetery just outside of Jerusalem:

Following President Rivlin was the mother [Chana Henkin wife of Rabbi Yehuda Henkin] of Rabbi Eitam. Grieving, she first cared about those in attendance: “We are sorry for the long stay in the sun,” she said, concerned, then continued, “it is incomprehensible, if only you (my son) would have eulogized me and not vice versa.”

Her son and his wife – a young, energetic, life-filled, productive and inspiring couple – were murdered the previous day by “Palestinian Heroes.” The perpetrators made sure the couple was dead, but did not murder their four children who were in the car with their parents.

Four orphans were spared, nine-, seven- and four-year old and a four month old baby. Why? Age and innocence never stopped the Palestinian Muslim murderers before.

This time they stopped short murdering only the adults because it was previously established that the backlash from murdering children alongside their parents is too much to bear, while murdering adults is permissible, justified and highly rewarded. The Israeli family came under fire when they slowed down before making a turn. At that moment, a Palestinian vehicle accelerated toward the family. Two attackers opened fire on the family with a handgun and a rifle.

Both parents were struck multiple times in their upper bodies, paramedics said. They were pronounced dead at the scene.

“It was a very difficult scene,” said MDA paramedic Boaz Malka, one of the first to arrive. “We saw a vehicle in the middle of the road, and a man in his 30s lying next to it with wounds in his upper torso. Inside the car sat a woman in her 30s, also with severe wounds to her upper torso. They were READ ENTIRETY

NO PLACE IS SAFE (but Israel)

By Ari Bussel

Most of us were not in Europe in the 1930s. My parents and grandparents were. Most of them did not survive. My grandmother, for instance, left one day, never to return. Her mother went after her and she also did not return.

Most of us derive our “knowledge” of the Holocaust from stories we have heard, accounts we have read in books or scenes we have seen in movies. Some of us know, or have known or met, Holocaust survivors, most of us have not.

When it began, Jews were being humiliated or beaten senselessly in the streets of Vienna, Hamburg, Strasbourg, Dusseldorf or Warsaw. Elegant women, religious men, young children, the elderly, no one was spared. They were stripped of their dignity, first as Jews, then as human beings. Then the systematic extermination began.

People gathered around for spontaneous public humiliations, cheering, participating, inflicting additional pain, laughing loudly at the people who just hours before were their neighbors, business partners, colleagues, schoolmates or even friends.

The fine Strasses of Europe’s capitals and major cities were filled with horror-stricken Jews whose lives collapsed on them one fine day. Nowhere was safe and there was no place to hide or to escape.

Alas, what took place in real time had been foretold thousands of years earlier. Deuteronomy 28 describes the scene with chilling accuracy. I have chosen only four verses (28, 34, 66, 67), and my body shivers each time I read this chapter in the Bible.

The Jews will be “smite with madness, and with blindness, and with astonishment of heart. … so that thou shalt be mad for the sight of thine eyes which thou shalt see. … And thy life shall hang in doubt before thee; and thou shalt fear night and day, and shalt have no assurance of thy life. In the morning thou shalt say: ‘Would it were even[ing]!’ and at even[ing] thou shalt say: ‘Would it were morning!” for the fear of thy heart which thou shalt fear, and for the sight of thine eyes which thou shalt see.”

Europe roared with the fires of hell that spread upward, spewing ashes of millions, consuming lives with an ever-growing appetite. The advance of evil seemed unstoppable.

Prior to 1948, there was no homeland for the Jews. Israel, their ancient homeland, was under British Mandate, and the Brits prevented the Jews from the one safe haven they should have had. America closed her doors too. No one wanted the Jews, the world allowed Germany do what was right and necessary.

Today, things are different: There is a modern state of Israel, in the ancient Land of Israel, and Jews – wherever they are in the world – know they have a place to call home, no questions asked.

Fourteen million Jews existed in 1939. Today, there are still 14 million Jews in the World. Six million perished during the Holocaust, in a systematic attempt to wipe them off this earth. Today, Iran promises to wipe Israel and her six point two million Jews off the face of the map. It seems not much has changed and history is determined to repeat itself once again.

Jerusalem, Present Day

I always enjoy wandering around in the streets of Israel’s capital city of Jerusalem. I think of things past; I witness a bustling city of many faces. I breathe the sights and sounds, smells and noises; a mix of voices, exhilarating and invigorating. I think of all the times Jerusalem is mentioned in the Bible, and in my head and on my lips I replay Naomi Shemer’s (Israel’s national song writer’s) song Yerushalim Shel Zahav, Jerusalem of Gold.

Not too many years ago it was not safe to wander around while the Arabs’ Intifada raged. Jerusalem remains strewn with memorials, scars on her most beautiful body. The Arab terrorists murdered senselessly to inflict fear and terror in people’s hearts and to stop the flow of life.

The only people who continued walking, their heads high, were the religious Jews, in their holiest city, and every-day Jewish-Israelis in their nation’s capital. They had no other choice; they were determined to fight back, not to capitulate.

This past Sunday, the first Sunday in October, at the eve of the last day of Sukkot, the Festival of Tabernacles, during which Jews are commended to come to Jerusalem to see their God at the place He has chosen to dwell, I walked from Jaffa Gate of the Old City toward Christ Church, a three minute walking distance, looking apprehensively at passersby.

Who might attack? Who may start running with a knife or a gun and try to murder and maim as many innocent people as possible?

In store fronts, selling memorabilia or cold drinks, Jerusalem bagels or other munchies, stood Arabs, residents of Jerusalem, looking somewhat bored, somewhat bemused, at those that passed.

I looked at them with obvious disgust, vowing to not approach any of them to spend money in their stores, avoiding their wares.

Just hours earlier a couple walking in the Old City was attacked. They tried to protect each other, to fight back, but the husband was subdued, stabbed so many times he died. The wife, with a knife in her shoulder, close to the neck, managed to escape, seeking refuge at one of the neighboring stores.

She was running, screaming, begging for anyone to help.

The storeowners rushed to the front of their stores, witnessed the commotion, and stood at ease: A Jewish woman, bleeding, running and begging for her life, how amusing, how greatly satisfying!

One held a can of soda, laughing. Another spat on her. A third cursed her.

Some applauded. One kicked her with utter disgust, “Filth,” he uttered, “may you die!”

Not one, not two. They all stood as one, aiding and abating. Participating. Cheering. Taking part in Satan’s work.

The scene was taken directly from the capitals and major cities of Europe of 1939, but this is the Jerusalem of October 2015.

It took less than two minutes for the border police and other security forces to arrive at the scene, to restore a semblance of normalcy back to the area.

The shopkeepers, many young Arab males, simply turned around and continued smoking, laughing, discussing what could and should have happened to that Jewish woman.

There was hatred and spite in their eyes and voices, flowing in their blood. These Israeli citizens are filled with hatred so deep the Nazis would have been proud. Then again, their forefathers aided Hitler so there is nothing new under the sun.

Civilized people, not barbarians, would have stopped what they were doing and run out to aid the woman. Undoubtedly some would have frozen with fear or disbelief before springing to action, but normal people would have done something. Not because she is a woman, but because she is a human being, bleeding, pleading for help. But not the Arabs of Jerusalem.

One would say, protesting, “you cannot generalize” or maybe with a stronger tone, “you must not do so!” Today, in Israel, there may still be a few good Arabs, but one would be hard-pressed to find them.

There were some good Christians in Europe in the early 1940s as well. Yet so few, a breed so rare, that Yad VaShem in Jerusalem lists each and every one of them under the heading “Righteous Gentiles.”

It was not many hours before that attack that I attended the funeral of a young couple that was murdered in front of their four children just because they were Jews living in their homeland. The only reason the children were spared was the knowledge that past executions were not accepted very well when kids were murdered alongside their parents.

The account I have written, “A Blood Sacrifice,” elicited the following response from John Houk in America:

Ari I can’t help but think that there is more to this story. It seems intriguingly unfinished.

Undoubtedly, the story is not finished. It is only beginning. We are reliving 1939, this time around right here in the Land of Israel.

The world needs to know there is an Israel, and each Jewish person around the world needs to know that she and he has a home within her borders.

Safety will be restored. Those who stood by and chose to not prevent a crime will be brought to justice and prosecuted on criminal charges. But more than that is needed, a complete change of society’s stance, upbringing and values. There must be zero tolerance for barbarism and the Arab culture of death must be eradicated. Not only for the sake of the Jews, for the sake of the whole world.

Indeed, John, there is much more to this story, for the events unfolding before our very eyes are just the beginning of yet another end of what we have come to accept as civilization.
