How Barcelona Became a Victim of the Barcelona Process

  • The Barcelona Process, promoted by the EU, has helped to facilitate a greater presence of Islam and Muslim immigrants in Western Europe — thereby also increasing the Islamic terror threat there. That result was perfectly foreseeable.

  • When the number of people who believe in Islamic Jihad doctrines rises, the likelihood of experiencing jihadist attacks increases as well.

  • It is unlikely, though, that European political leaders will point to this connection. Doing so would be an indirect admission that Europe’s leaders have actively increased the Islamic terror threat against European citizens. This is the brutal truth they do not want exposed.

The murders on the pedestrian street of La Rambla in Barcelona on August 17, 2017 were not the first Islamic terrorist attack in Spain. On March 11, 2004, 192 people were killed, and around two thousand injured, in the Madrid train bombings.

In hindsight, that attack marked a new phase in the modern Islamic Jihad against Europe. After the Madrid bombings, London was hit with deadly bombings on July 7, 2005. In recent years, the frequency of jihadist attacks on European soil has increased dramatically.

It is probably not a coincidence that Spain was an early target of Islamic terror. The Iberian Peninsula, present-day Portugal and Spain, was for centuries under Islamic rule. Militant Muslims have repeatedly made it clear that for them, reconquering Spain is a priority.

Ironically, some people in Barcelona seem to view tourists who pay for short-term visits as a greater threat than Muslim immigrants who come to stay permanently. One can hear similar reactions among some radical left-wing activists, for instance, in Greece.

Mass tourism can potentially cause problems such as overcrowding and local pollution. Nevertheless, it is noteworthy that only a few days before the terror attack in Barcelona, some locals were complaining about an invasion of tourists. One radical left-wing group, Arran, published footage of tourist bikes in the city having their tires punctured in acts of deliberate sabotage. Of course, the problem might be even greater if there were too few tourists.

Meanwhile, a real invasion of Spain and Europe is taking place. For years, huge numbers of illegal immigrants from the Islamic world and Africa have been entering, especially through Greece or Italy. Spain, too, has seen a spike in the number of illegal immigrants. The Spanish-controlled enclaves of Ceuta and Melilla in North Africa are under increasing pressure as points of departure for migrants.

The Madrid bombings in 2004 were immediately followed by the election in Spain of the Socialist politician José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero. His policy of appeasement of Islam and the Islamic world was, sadly, not the first. Western Europe’s appeasement of Islam stretches back at least to the 1970s.

With the 1973 oil embargo, Arab countries in the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) used oil as a weapon and tool for blackmail. European countries started giving concessions to Arabs to ensure their oil supply and, they doubtless hoped, avoid terrorism. These concessions were not just limited to economic affairs. They also included opening Western Europe up to Islamic culture and Muslim immigration. The author Bat Ye’or has written extensively on this subject.

As part of the Euro-Arab Dialogue, a Euro-Mediterranean Partnership between the EU and the Arabic-Islamic world was launched in 1995 with the so-called Barcelona Process. Its purpose was to strengthen the ties between Europe and the Arab world in the fields of trade, economy, environment, energy, health, migration, education, social affairs and cultural cooperation.

This Process has been in force for decades. Despite it, the increasingly stronger ties between the EU and Arab Muslim countries rarely receive critical scrutiny from the European mass media. There is even a Union for the Mediterranean, which most Europeans have never heard of.

As the official website of the European External Action Service (EEAS), the diplomatic service of the European Union (EU), stated in October 2017:

The Union for the Mediterranean promotes economic integration across 15 neighbours to the EU’s south in North Africa, the Middle East and the Balkans region. Formerly known as the Barcelona Process, cooperation was re-launched in 2008 as the Union for the Mediterranean…. Projects address areas such as economy, environment, energy, health, migration, education and social affairs. Along with the 28 EU member states, 15 Southern Mediterranean countries are members of the UfM: Albania, Algeria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Mauritania, Monaco, Montenegro, Morocco, Palestine, Syria (suspended), Tunisia and Turkey. Libya is an observer.”

The Islamic Republic of Mauritania in western Africa, a full member of the Union for the Mediterranean, has the same formal status there as Denmark, Sweden, Germany, France, Italy and Poland. Although Mauritania was the last country officially to ban slavery, it is still widely practiced there to this day. Yet the country regularly cooperates with the EU on matters of importance to the future of the EU.

The Barcelona Process, promoted by the EU, has helped to facilitate a greater presence of Islam and Muslim immigrants in Western Europe — thereby also increasing the Islamic terror threat there. That result was perfectly foreseeable. When the number of people who believe in Islamic Jihad doctrines rises, the likelihood of experiencing Jihadist attacks increases as well.

It is unlikely, though, that European political leaders will point to this connection. Doing so would be an indirect admission that Europe’s leaders have actively increased the Islamic terror threat against European citizens. This is the brutal truth they do not want exposed.

Contrary to FBI Hooey, Steven Paddock Fits the Profile of a Convert

Noted Counterjihad activist Pamela Geller is not dismissing the Muslim convert motive behind Stephen Paddock’s mass murder terrorism. Geller is noted and yet also controversial. The American Left enjoys lying about Counterjihadists by calling them racists rather than people that expose the dark side of Islam. Geller on the other hand tips the Leftist hate scale off the meter.

In full disclosure, I find Geller a bit brusque. Nonetheless, she is passionate in pushing back the Leftist lies about Islamic acceptance as well as pushing back on the Left’s labelling Geller as a racist. The irony there is that Geller has a Jewish ancestry.

Here is Pamela Geller’s reasoning behind Paddock being an Islamic terrorist complete with photos of other elderly converts to Islam to prove her point to not completely dismiss the possibility.

Contrary to FBI Hooey, Steven Paddock Fits the Profile of a Convert

By Pamela Geller

October 9, 2017

Geller Report

The idea floated by “intel” agencies that Steven Paddock didn’t fit the profile of a Muslim convert is absurd on its face, and further proof that the keystone clowns and their “profilers” at the FBI haven’t a clue. How can they profile what they refuse to acknowledge, learn about or recognize?

The fact is the FBI has nothing. Over a week after the monstrous slaughter, they have nothing and yet they have dismissed ISIS claims out of hand, despite the fact ISIS does not take credit for attacks that are not theirs. Not only did they take credit, they did something they never did before – they doubled and tripled down. The Islamic State (IS) featured an infographic on the Las Vegas attack in the 100th issue of its al-Naba weekly newspaper, and indicated that the shooter, “Abu Abdul Barr al-Amriki,” had converted to Islam six months ago.

Jihad is the only motive that makes any sense. And the fact that the FBI has nothing else points to that. That Steven Paddock left no digital trail might very well be deliberate – to show how incompetent our law enforcement agencies are. ISIS took credit for the downing of the Russian jetliner in the Sinai. Everyone in law enforcement dismissed that too. Until ISIS provided proof a couple of weeks later, that is. I suspect we may see the same thing happen here. The Vegas attack mirrors the sophisticated planning and secrecy consistent with more complex ISIS plots like Sinai explosion of Russian airliner.

We have been told that because Paddock was white and 64, it is unlikely that he would be a convert to Islam. Why? Islam is ideological – it’s not a race or an age. It’s a belief system. It’s also being said that if Paddock was a convert, Homeland Security is going to have to change their whole approach to jihad terror in the Homeland. We can only hope. Because this war has nothing to do with age, race or gender – it’s religious. And profiling is required. On the top of my watch list would be converts. Who would be attracted to an ideology that is the cause of hatred, misogyny, subjugation and slaughter?

What ISIS has to Lose if it’s Lying about Las Vegas

He was a happy-go-lucky guy who drank and gambled until he stopped.

He made multiple trips to the Middle East.

Sophisticated planning and secrecy consistent with more complex ISIS plots like Sinai explosion of Russian airliner.

As FBI investigates Vegas attack, remember its FAILED investigations of Orlando jihadi mass murderer, Boston bombers, Garland jihadis, Boston beheaders

Here are some older, white converts who have been convicted of jihad terror.

Muslim convert Jack Roche convicted of plotting with Al Qaeda to blow up the Israel embassy in Australia.

Muslim convert Valentine Vladimir Mazlovsky, ISIS solider.

Don Morgan, Muslim convert, ISIS supporter.

Daniel Patrick Boyd is an American who in July 2009 was convicted for his participation in a jihadist terrorist cell in North Carolina

‘Only Allah can judge me’: Muslim convert Richard Dart refuses to stand in dock as he is sentenced to six years in prison for terrorism offences

Muslim convert Sebastian Gregerson an Islamic State “soldier” convicted of plotting violent jihad was sentenced to four years in federal prison

And these gingers.

Jamaal Uddin
Jordan Horner

A member of the notorious “Muslim Patrol,” which threatened to “kill the non-believers.” Renounced his previous lifestyle of boozing and “seeing girls.” Jailed for assault and for using threatening words and behaviour.

Salahuddin al-Britani
Richard Dart

A middle-class white boy who became a Christian while working at a kids’ camp in the US, Dart was converted to radical Islam by hate preacher Anjem Choudary and later jailed for planning terrorist activities.

Sherafiyah Lewthwaite
Samantha Lewthwaite

A troubled child who sought solace with Muslim neighbours, Lewthwaite has a string of terrorist ex-boyfriends (some imprisoned, some dead), including 7/7 suicide bomber Germaine Lindsay – hence her nickname, the “White Widow.” Currently on the run and a member of terrorist group Al-Shabaab.

Shaykh Abdal Hakim Murad
Tim Winter

Cambridge director of studies who once recorded a video describing homosexuality as a sinful and “inherent aberration,” and gays as “ignorant people who don’t know what their bodies are for.”

Brother Adam (centre)
MC Chippy

Chippy is not known to be an extremist, but his videos are used as a recruitment tool in Bradford and elsewhere.

Matthew Hamza (centre)
Matthew Newton

Described by his family as a quiet lad, Newton started recruiting for the Taliban from a stall in Longsight market in Manchester. Jailed for trying to radicalise undercover police officers.

Abu Jibreel
Paul Mellor

Formally a Lance Corporal in the Irish Guards, Mellor turned his back on the Queen to become a self-declared “soldier of Allah.”

Abdul-Aziz ibn Myat
David Myatt

Myatt converted to Islam, becoming a notable apologist for suicide bombing civilians.

Abdullah Deen

Former drum and bass MC, Millwall fan, cocaine dealer and self-employed perfume salesman before his conversion to radical Islam.

Something Else To Fret About: ISIS Mounting Dirty Bombs On Drones

Drone Over City

By Tim Johnson from Special to McClatchy Washington Bureau

September 8, 2017

In Homeland Security

Here’s a fear that keeps counter-terrorism officials up at night: Extremists might use drones to drop dirty bombs or poison on Western cities.

It could just be a matter of time before Islamic State fighters take drone usage from the battlefield in Syria and Iraq to urban areas of the West, security officials say.

“I understand that an openly available drone, such as a quadcopter, which is able to hold a camera, can drop some dirty explosive device,” Friedrich Grommes, Germany’s top international terrorism official, told McClatchy on the sidelines of a national security forum.

“Even if only a few people are affected, it serves completely the idea of terrorism,” Grommes added. The payload would be “something which is poisonous. It could be a chemical or whatever is commercially available.”

Concerns about such tactics grew after Australian federal police said on Aug. 3 that they had disrupted an Islamic State plot to build an “improvised chemical dispersion device” that terrorists sought to deploy in urban areas. Plotters aimed to spread hydrogen sulfide, a poisonous gas.

Such a flying dirty bomb could be attached to a drone and used in Europe or North America, counter-terrorism officials said.

“That technology hasn’t quite crossed the Atlantic. It actually hasn’t left the battlefield,” said Chris Rousseau, director of Canada’s Integrated Terrorism Assessment Centre, based in Ottawa.

Rousseau and other counter-terror experts spoke at the two-day Intelligence & National Security Summit 2017 in Washington.

After the panel, Rousseau spoke further about a drone carrying a terrorist weapon: “The question is at what point somebody’s going to get the idea to use that here.”

Extremists may not have the knowhow to manufacture deadly nerve or chemical agents, choosing simpler chemical components and combining them with an explosive, Grommes said.

“They will refrain from developing the complex chemical or biological attacks because they want to have the sudden spectacular blast,” said Grommes, who heads a directorate focused on international terrorism at Germany’s Federal Intelligence Service, known as the BND.

Counter-terrorism officials, speaking about other facets of the war on terrorism, said nations must not get complacent about a possible strengthening of al-Qaida, the extremist faction that launched the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks, eventually retreating from Afghanistan to the Arabian Peninsula and North Africa amid sustained U.S.-led military pressure. The group has been overshadowed by the Islamic State.

In a reversal of al-Qaida’s earlier tactics, Sheikh Hamza bin Laden, son of the deceased al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden, called in May for the group’s followers to embrace the kinds of “lone wolf attacks” used by Islamic State, its bitter rival, in which jihadists execute terror operations acting largely on their own and without direction.

Experts said the latest crop of terror attacks in Europe were largely carried out by men afflicted by anger more than driven by religious fanaticism.

Khalid Masood, a 52-year-old Briton who plowed a car into pedestrians on London’s Westminster Bridge on March 22, killing five people and injuring 50, left behind writings with “almost no real ideological content,” said Paddy McGuinness, Britain’s deputy national security adviser for intelligence, security and resilience.

Attackers find an outlet for rage in radical interpretations of Islam, McGuinness said.

“They are looking for something and they stick a sticker on it and they find their justification,” McGuinness said. “Their grip on their religion is so superficial as to be less than what you’d get by watching a television documentary.”

Rousseau, the Canadian official, echoed that belief.

“Religious ideology is very much the excuse,” Rousseau said, noting that little differentiates the anger of white supremacists and Islamic radicals.

McGuinness called on Britain’s allies to do more to remove radical Islamic content from the internet, where he said it becomes an echo chamber for radicals.

“People can radicalize very, very quickly,” McGuinness said. Just as some countries bar pedophiles from putting content on line, he said Western countries need to fight the presence of extremists online, “not allow them to be there.”

America Clearly Remembers September 11

Sixteen years ago, on September 11, 2001 Americans awoke to the morning news reporting a hijacked airline was flown into one of the then existing towers of the World Trade Center. Then if you were watching your TV a certainty was realized it was no accident when another airline flew into another tower of the World Trade Center.

All of a sudden the news was reporting other airlines had been hijacked and we later learned that one flew into the Pentagon and another mysteriously crashed in Pennsylvania.

Then the news reported that Islamic terrorists belonging to a group of terrorists called al Qaeda perpetrated the attack. Then we were told the Muslim in charge of these terrorists was Usama (aka Osama) bin Ladin. Bin Ladin was holed-up in a nation most Americans barely knew about called Afghanistan. If you did know about Afghanistan it was because you were a news hound in the ‘80s aware that our Intelligence services were helping a group of Muslims rebel against their Soviet controlled Communist government. The irony of our aid to these Muslim rebels: Usama bin Ladin – a Saudi national – learned or earned his chops fighting the Soviets propping up the Afghan Communist government.

Justin Smith has submitted a bit of a memorial which will give the reason why we are at war with Muslim terrorists in Afghanistan who too often sneak across the border to Pakistan to regroup.

America Clearly Remembers September 11

The Depths of Inhumanity

By Justin O. Smith

Sent 9/6/2017 12:36 PM

Sixteen long years have passed, since the clear blue sky above New York City exploded in a fiery inferno, toxic smoke and the stench of burning flesh and death on September 11, 2001, and for many, the memories of the murder of nearly three thousand Americans, friends and relatives and fellow countrymen, remains as fresh as this morning’s dew. Those of us, who remember all too well, have the solemn obligation and duty to ensure America’s future generations do not soon forget, that Islamic jihadists struck the single deadliest attack on U.S. soil by any foe since the War of 1812.

VIDEO: 9/11~September 11th 2001-Attack on the World || Trade Center

Two thousand nine-hundred and seventy-seven (CNN Library) Americans never could have imagined the horror they would soon face the morning of 9/11, as they headed to work at the Twin Towers. Their thoughts were filled with work, schedules, and perhaps returning home to play softball with their children or having dinner with a fiancée, or a husband or wife.

It was 8:46 a.m. (EST), when nineteen Muslim terrorists, following the edicts of the evil ideology of Islam and their false “prophet” Mohammed, flew American Airlines Flight 11 into the North Tower of the World Trade Center. Seventeen minutes later, 9:03 a.m., Muslim terrorists hit the South Tower with United Airlines Flight 175, and 34 minutes later American Airlines Flight 77 flew into the Pentagon in Washington, D.C.

People jumped and fell from all four sides of both towers. There’s no way of accurately telling how many people died this way, but the horror they experienced just before their deaths is unimaginable, as they plummeted towards the earth at 150 miles per hour.

The end to this heinous attack and the final blow arrived, with the horrifying news that United Airlines Flight 93 crashed, while its passengers bravely fought the terrorists. From start to finish, nearly an hour and a half had elapsed. By 10:03 a.m. nearly 3000 innocent Americans — loved ones, friends and neighbors — were dead.

Set aside any emotional impulse to block 9/11 from one’s mind and embrace the gut-wrenching memory. Remember that America was attacked because of Her freedom and liberty and Her stand against oppression and tyranny worldwide. And there are many other things America should never forget, while we lower the flag, lay wreaths and ring bells in memory of the dead this September 11th.

Never forget, America received many warnings that a clash between Islam and the West, a clash of civilizations, was on the way, with tragedies like the bombing of the Marine barracks in Lebanon and the U.S. Embassy in Kenya and the suicide bombing attack on the USS Cole. We were even informed ahead of 9/11 that it was coming soon.

The first real warning occurred on February 26, 1993, when Ramzi Ahmed Yousef, master bomb-designer, detonated a bomb under the World Trade Center, on orders from Al Qaeda’s Blind Sheikh, that carved out a stories deep crater, injured a thousand people and killed six. The bomb was supposed to kill thousands by releasing a cyanide cloud, however, the explosion incinerated the gas.

Omar Abdel Rahman, the ‘Blind Sheikh’

Never forget, since 9/11, at least thirteen Islamic inspired terrorist attacks have been carried out across America, by Muslims following Mohammed’s “perfect” example, such as we witnessed in the Boston Bombing, the D.C. sniper murders, the shootings at the Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle, San Bernardino, Chattanooga and several others. There have been numerous attacks by Muslims that the press refuses to call “terrorism”, and there have been scores of terror plots and attempted terrorist acts foiled by the authorities.

Never Forget, the nineteen Muslim terrorists were able to attack America on September 11, 2001, because they were trained and funded by Wahhabist imams and members of the Saudi Royal Family, as revealed by the 9/11 Commission Report. And recall, that they also had some large degree of help from Shiite Muslims in the Islamic Republic of Iran, having spent significant time in Iran between October 2000 and February 2001.

The fires of that September morning burned for 100 days and moved America to seek an accounting from these Sons of Allah in wars we are still fighting. Islam is at war with Western civilization, Europe and America, just as Islam fought us (infidels and Westerners) under the Ottoman Empire, or a thousand years ago, now that Islam is in a new ascendancy.

America is still in an ongoing war against us, being waged by Islam, its imams and jihadi terrorists, who want to do the very same thing today that they did sixteen years ago, except on a grander scale.

The United States intelligence community acknowledges that all Al Qaeda and the Islamic State have had some recent, if limited, success in acquiring chemical weapons, like anthrax, VX nerve agents and ricin. More troubling and dangerous, they seek nuclear weapons, as Graham Allison notes in a policy brief for Harvard’s Belfer Center; and though many may see any success towards this as unlikely, it is certainly not implausible, given Iran’s, Pakistan’s and Saudi Arabia’s duplicitous, self-serving roles in the “war on terror”.

No one ever envisioned jet airliners would be used as Muslim terrorist’s instruments of death against us, however, September 11th brought a new visual reality, as officials sworn to protect America were forced to stare into a vast, smoking pit scooped out of lower Manhattan. As then National Security Advisor Condoleezza Rice repeatedly stated: “If you were in the White House that day … every day since has been September twelfth. And your great fear is that it may be September tenth.”

In his book ‘The Field of Fight’, former Director of the Defense Intelligence Agency, Michael Flynn wrote: “We’re in a world war, but very few Americans recognize it, and fewer still have any idea how to win it.”

Americans have the agonizing images of the horrible and unimaginable calamity of September 11th seared into their minds and hearts. We never forgot the lives so brutally and callously cut short, the children who lost mothers and fathers, and the sorrow that followed; and, we clearly remember the depths of inhumanity to which these Islamic terrorists are willing to sink, as we ring the bells, read the names and honor our dead: September 11, 2001 forced many Americans to the understanding, that America must gather the strength and courage to stop Islam’s violent ascendancy and expansion, at home and abroad, by driving their “holy warriors” into the ground, killing them, and even killing their families, until they grow weary of death and make war no more, if that is the only way to end their insanity.

Analysis of ISIS’s Claims of Responsibility for Terrorist Attacks Carried Out Abroad

The Meir Amit Intelligence and Terrorism Information Center (ITIC) has put together an analysis of Islamic terrorist attacks that ISIS has taken credit.

The ITIC divides ISIS claims into a “short form” and a “long form”. The short form claims are classed as ISIS inspired. The long form claims are classed as ISIS directed.

The short form claims occur primarily in Western nations such as the recent Islamic terrorist attacks in Spain. The long form claims are located primarily in Muslim dominated nations.

The differentiation is interesting yet in my opinion, whether inspired or directed, the operation is a horrendous evil that must be dealt with in a brutal manner. A brutal response is standard procedure in Middle Eastern and Maghreb (North African Muslim) nations. Due to the influence of Leftist Multicultural politics, a brutal response is politically incorrect.

Unless Western nations can eschew political correctness, Islamic terrorists will continue to ravage Western nations.

Analysis of ISIS’s Claims of Responsibility for Terrorist Attacks Carried Out Abroad

Published August 20, 2017

Meir Amit Intelligence and Terrorism Information Center

Full document in PDF

Overview[1]

This study examines the forms of ISIS’s claims of responsibility for terrorist attacks it carried out abroad (i.e., not in Iraq and Syria, its “core countries”). It covers 22 claims of responsibility for attacks carried out between June 2016 and June 2017. The study shows a close correlation between the form of the various claims and the types and locations of the attacks. The ITIC is of the opinion that the insights gained from the study can be a used as a methodological tool to examine ISIS claims of responsibility and assess their significance.

  • Most of the attacks examined for this study were carried out by ISIS in Western countries (the United States and western Europe), some in Arab-Muslim countries (Egypt, Turkey Iran) and some in others(Israel, Russia, Kenya). In ITIC assessment, most of the attacks in the West were ISIS-inspired, that is, inspired by but not directed by ISIS, without its logistic support or the involvement of its external operational headquarters in choosing a target or reaching it. Some of the attacks (especially in Arab-Muslim countries) were planned by ISIS, and preceded by the methodical collection of intelligence, procuring weapons and training the operative or operatives who carried them out.

  • A comparison of the various claims of responsibility indicates that three different patternsare used:

  • The “short form:”The most frequently used type of claim of responsibility. It uses phrases and terms that repeat themselves in most of the announcements. In ITIC assessment the short form is relevant mostly for ISIS-inspired attacks carried out in the West. The announcements are composed after the attack and disseminated within a short time (usually the day after the attack). Apparently whoever composes the announcements prefers not to include unnecessary details because the full picture is not yet sufficiently clear and in order not to reveal the fact that the announcements were written after the attack and the terrorists who carried out the attack do not have an organizational link to ISIS.[2]Short-form announcements are similar to one another but not identical (with small, insignificant differences in terminology and style).

  • The “long form:”Such claims of responsibility are long and detailed, and include information about the attack and explicit reasons for their having been carried out. They are issued mainly for attacks which were planned in advance and for which ISIS paid attention to the aspect of propaganda. They are most commonly used for attacks carried out in Arab-Muslim countries. They are regularly issued in Syria, Iran and other countries where there are branches of ISIS (e.g., the Sinai Peninsula). The attacks examined for this study revealed four such claims of responsibility: for the suicide bombing attack in the Coptic cathedral in Cairo (December 12, 2016); the shooting attack in the nightclub in the heart of Istanbul (January 1, 2017), and the combined suicide bombing and shooting attack in Tehran (June 7, 2017). The announcement issued after the suicide bombing attack in Manchester (May 22, 2017) also belongs to that category.[3]

  • Claims of responsibility including videos:About one third of the short-form announcements issued after ISIS-inspired attacks included videos, in most cases published after the attack. In each instance the video was filmed at the initiative of the terrorists who carried out the attack. They photographed themselves before the attack and sent the pictures to ISIS, which were published by its Amaq news agency(or by other media). There were also several instances of attacks photographed and the pictures published in real time. The videos included threats against Western countries and oaths of allegiance to ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. The inclusion of videos increases the propaganda impact of the attacks. The attack in Tehran, which was well-planned, was photographed in real time as part of the overall the plan. In Syria and Iraq, and other Arab-Muslim countries where provinces of ISIS operate. It is very common for long-form claims of responsibility to be accompanied by videos prepared in advance (especially when suicide bombing attacks are carried out).

Larossi Abballa, who stabbed a French police officer and his partner to death in the residential commune of Magnanville, north-west of Paris. He photographed himself with his cell phone. As part of the video he recorded himself swearing allegiance to ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi (Amaq, June 14, 2016).

  • During the period studied, one instance of an ISIS-inspired attack was found for which ISIS did not claim responsibility. On June 8, 2016, two terrorist operatives carried out a shooting attack in the Sarona commercial and entertainment complex in the heart of Tel Aviv (four killed, seven wounded). The two attackers were inspired by ISIS; one of them had been influenced by ISIS ideology while studying in Jordan. They were assisted by a third operative, who provided them with weapons. ISIS did not claim responsibility for the attack despite the media capital it could have made from inspiring an attack in Tel Aviv. ISIS’s motives for not claiming responsibility are unclear. It is possible that ISIS did not have sufficient information about the attack while it was being carried out to indicate the terrorists had been inspired by the organization.

  • How reliable are ISIS’s claims of responsibility? In ITIC assessment, most of the attacks for which ISIS claims responsibility were in fact carried out by its operatives(planned attacks), or by terrorists who were inspired by the organization(inspired attacks). However, those are exceptional cases. For example, through its Amaq news agency, ISIS claimed responsibility for the combined shooting and stabbing attack carried out near the Nablus Gate in the Old City of Jerusalem (June 16, 2017). According to the announcement, the attack was carried out by the “lions of the caliphate in the Palestine Province [of ISIS].” In ITIC assessment, the announcement was false, and reflected ISIS’s desire to boast of a success in a symbolic location such as “Palestine,” given the severe pressure exerted on the organization in Syria and Iraq.

In conclusion, an examination of the claims of responsibility revealed a connection between the pattern of announcement and the nature and location of the attackShort-form announcements seem to indicate an ISIS-inspired attack, usually carried out in a Western country, primarily by Muslims or people who have converted to Islam, been radicalized, and identify with ISIS’s ideology. Long-form announcements, on the other hand, seem to indicate a previously-planned ISIS attack. They are usually carried out in Syria, Iraq and Arab-Muslim countries, where ISIS has high operational capabilities.[4] Videos are included in claims of responsibility for both ISIS-inspired attacks and planned attacks. The difference between them is that in ISIS-inspired attacks the inclusion of a video is improvised and inserted on the initiative of the terrorists who carry them out, and then disseminated by ISIS’s propaganda machine. In planned attacks, publishing videos is part of preparations for the attack and attention is given to the aspect of propaganda. ISIS uses many languages in its announcements, depending on the target audience (Arabic and English are popular languages for the videos).

Composition and style of ISIS’s claims of responsibility

Short-form announcements

*** The following are the various linguistic and contentcharacteristics of claims of responsibility issued as short-form announcements:

  • Headline: The headline includes the source of the announcement (usually ISIS’s Amaq news agency), the date and the degree of urgency.

  • Body of the announcement: The announcement is usually written in modern Arabic, short and succinct. In most cases the language is grammatically correct.

  • Source: Information is often attributed to “a security source.” In ITIC assessment, that creates the impression (not always accurate) that ISIS has access to “security sources” with knowledge about the attack in whatever country it occurred. Sometimes only a “source” is mentioned.

  • Timing of releasing the announcement: In most instances, the announcement is issued the day after the attack. In exceptional instances, it is issued on the same day or two days later.

  • Language: ISIS issues the announcements in Arabic, but obviously makes the attempt to issue them in the language of the country where the attack took place. For ISIS-inspired attacks, some of the announcements are also presented in English, to increase the impact of ISIS’s message on Western audiences. The claim of responsibility for the attack at the night club in Istanbul also appeared in Turkish.

  • Publisher: Most of the claims of responsibility for attacks in the West are issued by ISIS’s Amaq news agency. It also issues claims of responsibility for attacks carried out in Syria, Lebanon and the Arab-Muslim world. Most of the announcements in the Middle East are issued by Haq, another ISIS news agency. In one instance (the attack in Manchester) Amaq issued a short announcement in Arabic and Haq issued two longer announcements, one in Arabic and one in English.

  • Names of the operatives: Generally speaking, the names and pictures of the operatives who carried out attacks do not appear. On exceptional occasions the aka of the terrorist, which relates to his country of origin, does appear. The aka is not necessarily accurate: in one instance a terrorist was reported as “Abu Yusuf the Belgian,” when in fact he came from Algeria.

  • Description of the attack: Attacks are described as “attacks” or “operational actions“. On rare occasions the term is “an armed attack“. In ITIC assessment, there is no real difference between the terms. Another term used is “an act of self-sacrifice,” which describes a suicide bombing attack (which are fundamentally different from other types of attacks).

  • Number of victims: Often the number of victims is not mentioned (possibly because of the lack of precise information). Sometimes the number is a combination of those killed and wounded. That is done to magnify the attackand make it seem like a greater “achievement.”

  • Terms for the coalition attacking ISIS: In most instances, the forces of the coalition attacking ISIS are referred to as “Crusaders.” Sometimes the coalition is referred to as “international.” However, the word “Christian” appears more than “Crusaders” to describe the people who are the targets of ISIS attacks. In ISIS’s perception a religious war is being fought, Muslims against Christians, in which Muslims indiscriminately attack Christians.

  • Reason for the attack: The most common reason for an attack comes in answer to ISIS’s call to attack the countries of the coalition fighting ISIS in Syria and Iraq. The objective is to exert pressure on the citizens of the coalition countries, creating public opinion to stop the attacks on the Islamic State.

Structure of a short-form claim of responsibility for an ISIS-inspired attack

Analysis of long-form announcements

** Long-form announcement have several unique features:

  • Pattern and language: The long-form announcements are written in classic literary Arabic, are clearly Islamic in style, and use religious terminology. For example, mushrikin(polytheist), fitna(civil war), amir al-mu’minin (ruler of the faithful), Salibyin (Crusaders), and khilafa(caliphate). Alongside such terms there are also worlds from modern Arabic.

  • Description, location and manner of the attack: The attack is described at length and has details which do not appear in short-form announcements. For example, a suicide bomber with an explosive belt blew himself up in an [sic] suicide bombing attack targeting a gathering of local Christians [i.e., Copts] in the central cathedral in Cairo. The location of the attack is mentioned to stress the size of the attack and because it was centrally located and crowded. Other long-form announcements were issued for the attacks on the nightclub in Istanbul and the Manchester Arena to illustrate that they were carried out in crowded sites.

  • Detailed description of the target using Islamic terminology: Long-form announcements include details about the targets. In Egypt, the Coptswere called Crusaders (Salibyin) or “Christians in Egypt.” The announcement also referred to Muslims who had allegedly abandoned Islam, calling them “infidels” and “abandoners of Islam.” The announcement about the attack in the nightclub in Istanbul accused Turkey of being an Islamic country that had abandoned Islam, calling it “the defender of the cross” (i.e., as having left Islam).

Justification for the attacks

  • The announcements chosen for examination indicate that the justification for carrying out terrorist attacks, including indiscriminate attacks, is based on religious arguments, at the center of which is the struggle of Muslims against Christians and “infidels,” that is, people of other religions holding different beliefs. The terrorist who carries out the attack is called a “soldier” in the ranks of the Islamic State, who fights against its enemies under the direction of the “emir of the faithful,” that is, the caliph (ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi). Another justification for the attacks appearing in many announcements is revenge against the coalition countries and other enemiesfighting ISIS, which it represents as enemies of Islam and Muslims. ISIS exerts pressure on their citizens by terrifying them (the announcements use the term irhab, which means to frighten or sow fear among people, and does not mean to carry out a terrorist attack).

The main message sent by the claims of responsibility and ISIS’s primary objective as reflected in them is the following: ISIS continues to wage a holy war (jihad) against its many enemies, including Christians (“Crusaders”), Shi’ites (rejecters of Islam), Muslims who abandoned Islam, and anyone who is not monotheistic, according to ISIS’s interpretation. ISIS’s primary objective is to spread its version of Islam around the globe following its victory over the various “infidels.” That is an overall goal when has no genuine chance of being achieved, but it turned a large number of states and population groups into enemies, which ISIS feels it has religious justification to kill.

In the picture an Islamic State “soldier” tears down a cross atop a church. The cover of the magazine reads, “Break the Cross” (Dabiq, issue #15, July 2016).

[2] In the past ISIS did not customarily issue claims of responsibility for ISIS-inspired attacks. Apparently, during 2016, when they became a significant modus operandi in the West, a general announcement was composed that was relevant for ISIS-inspired attacks. ↑
[3] Other examples of attacks carried out in Europe, after which a long-form claim of responsibility was issued, were the attacks at the airport in Brussels and the attack near the headquarters of the EU (both on March 22, 2016). Muslim Invasion Killing Norway & Sweden

Could Multiculturalism bring the Same Invasion to the USA?

I found a Fjordman essay at the Gatestone Institute. Fjordman writes about how the influx of Muslim refugees/immigrants into Norway and Sweden will soon relegate the original cultural inhabitants into a subordinate minority.

I am American. My guess is that a majority of my readers are Americans. Followed by a minority of Europeans that read or speak English that read American writings because they might be weary of Islam marginalizing their culture. Those Europeans probably read Americans because European Union (EU) rule of law will go after people speaking or writing the truth about Islam. Apparently defending your own culture is a hate-crime in Europe.

If you are an American, why should care about the inundation of Muslims overtaking Norwegian and Swedish culture? BECAUSE if Crooked Hillary had won the election in 2016, you could count on an inundation of Muslims bring their Islamic Supremacist culture to the USA in the name of Dem Party promoted Multicultural Diversity.

Multiculturalism is destroying Norway and Sweden as a Western Culture, followed closely by the rest of Europe. DO YOU as an American want to throw E Pluribus Unum – Out of many, One – out? Multiculturalism throws the concept of the melting out and replaces it with a divided pot of foreign cultures vying for dominance. Vying multiple cultures essentially destroys American unity.

If you toss an Islamic Culture into the concept of Leftist Multiculturalism, it is self-destructive. Especially Islam’s rejection of any culture or thought that is not Islamic as an evil to be destroyed. What do you think happens to the American melting pot with Western-hating Islam?

Americans need to think of the answer to that question as they read Fjordman’s on Muslim immigration overrunning Norway and Sweden.

Norway’s Political Elites Cheer for Islam

By Fjordman

Gatestone Institute

  • If current levels of immigration continue, native Norwegians will be a minority in their own country within a few decades. In some parts of inner city Oslo, they are already a minority.

  • Ethnic Norwegians living in these areas are called “infidel whore.” Many feel as if they are strangers in what once was their own country. Yet the politicians and mass media are not interested. The ruling elites are far more interested in cases of alleged “Islamophobia” or “white racism.”

  • A report commissioned by the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency (MSB) suggested in early 2017 that the Muslim Brotherhood is secretly leading Islamic groups in building a parallel society in Sweden by infiltrating organizations and political parties in the country.

Ramadan is supposed to be an Islamic holy month of fasting. In reality, as one is thought to be doubly rewarded in paradise for deeds “fighting corruption” during Ramadan, it is a month of “jihad and victories.”

It therefore nearly always leads to an increase in jihad violence in different parts of the world.

Breitbart News counted at least 1,620 people killed by militant Muslims during Ramadan in 2017. Most of these were killed in Muslim-majority countries. However, deadly Islamic terrorist attacks also hit Western cities such as London.

When dealing with Muslim terror, it can be useful to separate it into two different, categories: Big Terror and Little Terror. Big Terror includes mass casualty attacks such as suicide bombings. Little Terror includes other forms of violence and harassment, such as torching cars, that have a negative impact on daily life. Both forms of terror are intended to spread fear.

France suffers from tens of thousands of car fires every year. Sweden, which has the highest number of Muslim immigrants in Scandinavia, also has the highest number of car fires. In the Muslim-dominated Swedish city of Malmö, cars are now torched on a nearly daily basis.

In June 2017 during Ramadan, dozens of instances of wheel-tampering were reported in different police districts in Denmark. In all cases, the lug nuts that secure the wheels of a car had been loosened. One motorist was driving along when he heard an odd noise. Shortly afterward, his left front wheel appeared in front of the car and rolled off into a field. The car ended up in a ditch; the man, in a hospital. The police have so far been unable to find the perpetrators. They have been advising all motorists thoroughly to check their lug nuts before starting their car.

In June 2017, Oslo, Norway, experienced a significant number of car fires within a few weeks. Officially, the police claimed they could see no connection between these fires, which spiked during Ramadan and mainly took place in Muslim-dominated areas. Anonymous sources claimed that a group of young immigrant men – who had apparently been complicit in the burnings — had shouted: “We’re going to make Malmö!”

If current levels of immigration continue, native Norwegians will be a minority in their own country within a few decades. In some parts of inner-city Oslo, they are already a minority. The author Halvor Fosli, in 2015, published a book in which he interviewed ethnic Norwegians living in those areas. They are called “infidel whore.” Many feel as if they are strangers in what once was their own country. Yet the politicians and mass media are not interested. The ruling elites are far more interested in cases of alleged “Islamophobia” or “white racism.”

Erna Solberg, Norway’s supposedly conservative Prime Minister, has long been known for her positive views of Islam and mass immigration. As PM, she has repeatedly warned against Islamophobia and Christian “racism” against Muslims. In 2011, then as leader of the major opposition party, Solberg stated that Muslims in Europe are now being harassed just as Jews were in the 1930s, during the rise of Nazism.

On June 25, 2017, an estimated 8,000 Muslims celebrated Eid al-Fitr, the end of Ramadan, in a major sports arena and concert hall in Oslo. Prime Minister Erna Solberg attended. She made some comments about creating a sense of community, and warned against anti-Muslim forces and others trying to divide people. According to national media, many of the Muslims treated the Prime Minister as if she were a “superstar.”

Cemal Knudsen Yucel, from the organization Ex-Muslims of Norway, said he was sad to see politicians and media promote Islam and Islamic values on television yet again. As a former Muslim, he has never experienced this kind of celebration in his Muslim home country. There, Eid al-Fitr is normally celebrated with your family, not at a stadium with thousands of people. In his view, this shows how effectively Islam builds power in the society in which it operates. A country’s senior political leader attending a gathering of thousands of Muslims in the nation’s capital city, can only elevate Islam’s status and prominence in society.

The Islam-friendly newspaper Aftenposten writes that the Rabita Mosque was a co-organizer of this big Islamic party, attended not only by the Prime Minister but also the national media. The Rabita Mosque in Oslo has for years been involved in highly controversial activities, as pointed out by the author Hege Storhaug. The mosque has been visited by well-known jihadists and its leaders are suspected of having ties to the Muslim Brotherhood, an international Islamist organization with the motto:

“Allah is our objective; the Prophet is our leader; the Quran is our law; Jihad is our way; dying in the way of Allah is our highest hope.”

A report commissioned by the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency (MSB) suggested in early 2017 that the Muslim Brotherhood is secretly leading Islamic groups in building a parallel society in Sweden by infiltrating organizations and political parties in the country.

The Muslim Brotherhood, in the 1930s and 1940s, enjoyed friendly ties with Adolf Hitler and the Nazis. Sheikh Yusuf al-Qaradawi, one of its foremost spokesmen today, has stated that Allah sent Hitler to punish the Jews, and indicated that the next genocide of Jews will be at the hands of Muslims. Qaradawi, a leading advocate of suicide-bombing, has also bragged that Muslims will conquer Europe.

Since its founding in Egypt in 1928 by Hassan Al Banna, the Muslim Brotherhood has for generations been involved in fostering those who would promote its expansionist goals. Jihadists and Islamic terrorists who have been members include Sayyid Qutb, Abdullah Azzam, Ayman al-Zawahiri, leader of the Al-Qaeda terrorist network after Osama bin Laden, and Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the self-proclaimed caliph of the Islamic State (IS or ISIS).

That a mosque with suspected links to such an organization arranged a major event in Oslo — and was applauded by the country’s head of state — is frightening. While a totalitarian Iron Burka of sharia, jihad, terror, and violence is descending on Europe, many Western leaders and members of the media welcome it, embrace it and claim it enriches our society.

Prime Minister Solberg’s main political rival, Social Democratic party leader Jonas Gahr Støre, is possibly even more smitten than she is. In 2008, the Norwegian government sponsored dialogue talks in Oslo with members of the Muslim Brotherhood in the Middle East. Støre, from the Labor Party, was then foreign minister. The prime minister at the time, Jens Stoltenberg, is now leader of the Western defense alliance NATO.

The Muslim Brotherhood, which also has ties to, among other groups, the extremely brutal Palestinian terrorist organization Hamas, in 2007 made Norway, under the left-wing Stoltenberg government, the first Western country to “normalize” its relationship with Hamas. AUF, the youth organization of the Norwegian Labor Party, the labor unions (LO) and its coalition partner, the Socialist Left Party, also advocated for this affiliation.

The policy of normalizing ties with Hamas was widely applauded by many Norwegian mass media and left-wing activists in 2007. The major Oslo-based newspaper Aftenposten praised it as a “wise” move. When this author strongly objected to cooperating with terrorists, the Norwegian media and left-wing activists, few years later, accused me of encouraging terrorism.

Raymond Johansen in 2007 had friendly public meetings on behalf of the Norwegian government with the Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh. In 2011, Haniyeh praised the global terrorist leader Osama bin Laden as “an Arab holy warrior.” In 2017, Ismail Haniyeh was chosen to be the new overall leader of Hamas. The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) then called him a “pragmatist.” Between 2009 and 2015, Johansen was the Party Secretary of the Labor Party, Norway’s largest political party for nearly a century. In 2014, he warned in the state broadcaster NRK against the “Fascist” movements now threatening Europe. Did he mean the Muslim Brotherhood or other Islamic organizations who threaten artists and authors? No, comically, Johansen mentioned just me, personally, by name, as a dangerous “extremist” who needs to be confronted. Nobody else. Just me.

Raymond Johansen, currently serving as the Governing Mayor of Oslo, has stated that an attack on Muslims is an attack on him. The vast majority of Muslim immigrants vote for the Labor Party or other left-wing parties. Mullah Krekar, a radical Muslim and “refugee” notorious for publicly praising Islamic terrorists and jihadist massacres, has advised Muslims in Norway to vote for Labor or other Socialist parties.

The deputy leader of the Norwegian Labor Party is a Muslim woman from a family of Pakistani immigrants. The leader Jonas Gahr Støre, as Foreign Minister, held talks by telephone with the Islamic terrorist leader Khaled Mashaal from Hamas. In a book published in 2014, Støre criticized “Islamophobes” again, including this author.

On September 11, 2017, Norway will have parliamentary elections. The voters have a realistic choice between two Prime Ministers: Erna Solberg or Jonas Gahr Støre. Both are Islam-friendly, anti-national globalists and multiculturalists who promote mass immigration. Other European countries such as Germany are in a similar situation: virtually all the establishment political parties are promoting more immigration and more Islam.

Fjordman, a Norwegian historian, is an expert on Europe, Islam and multiculturalism.

Danon Chastises UN for Colluding with Islamic Terrorists

Danny Danon

I am on the email list of Jewish Voice Ministries. I received an interesting email highlighting info on Israel’s United Nations envoy Danny Danon. Danon was recently elected as Vice President of the UN General Assembly placing him in the unique and rare position to be a significant voice for Israel’s perspective on geopolitics.

Email alert goes on to inform readers that Danon is publicly admonishing the United Nations for being in collusion with Islamic terrorists whose sole goal is to destroy the Jewish Homeland of Israel for Arabs that call themselves Palestinians to become sovereign over a land that most of their ascendants were immigrants rather than an inherent population.

This makes the pseudo-Palestinians a fake people with very little actual history to the Land God gave to the Jews as a Promised heritage thousands of years ago.

Danon’s anger at the UN is placed on the fact the internal body supports the false claims of Islamic terrorists over Israel’s sovereignty and heritage. The legitimized Palestinian Authority (in reality still terrorists), pays money to incarcerated Muslim terrorists and their families. And more heinously the PA has announced the worst Islamic terrorists that call themselves Palestinians – Hamas (SEE ALSO HERE) and PFLP – are not terrorists!

The info is great from Jewish Voice, but in honesty the email alert also serves as a fund raiser for their Ministry. I have no problem with that. Ministries have to pay the bills just like the rest of us. (I wouldn’t mind a little support for my blog efforts as well. 😊) So, donate or not, but remain supportive of a defensible sovereign nation of Israel, which a Palestinian State would make difficult to exist.

They [UN] have no shame

Israel’s United Nations envoy Danny Danon slammed the Palestinian Authority (PA) late last week, saying, “They have no shame.”

Quoted in The Times of Israel, Danon was reacting to what he termed “lies and incitement from those who are paying terrorists to kill innocent Israelis.” He added that their claims “will not change the fact that the Palestinian leadership refuses to end their support for terror.”

Danon’s comment came in response to a senior PA official’s claim that Hamas and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) are not terrorist groups.

The Palestinian official, Saeb Erekat, reportedly said that Hamas and the PFLP “are not terrorist organizations” and that the key to defeating the Islamic State is to end the “occupation,” the term used by Palestinians in reference to Israel’s presence in land they claim as their own.”

The PA leader’s remarks came at an event called the United Nations Forum to Mark Fifty Years of Occupation which was organized by a pro-Palestinian UN group.

Hamas and the PFLP have both carried out numerous attacks on Israeli security forces and civilians. Less than two weeks ago, the two terror groups claimed responsibility for a knife attack that killed a 23-year-old Israeli border policewoman in the Old City of Jerusalem.

Israel also cited the PA’s payments to terrorists sitting in Israeli jails, to their families, and to the families of Palestinians killed while carrying out terror attacks against Israel as further evidence the Palestinians give aid and comfort to terrorists.

Charges of United Nations Collusion

Danon objected earlier to the event, held at UN headquarters in New York, informing UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres that some of the billed participants had ties to Hamas and the PFLP. Guterres said the event did not have the blessing of his office.

According to Breaking Israel News, on Wednesday of last week Danon went as far as to say the UN “colludes” with terrorist organizations.

“It is beyond comprehension that UN funds are supporting organizations which aid terrorists and incite [violence] against Israel,” Danon said. “We call on the Secretary-General to intervene immediately and prevent these individuals from appearing at the UN.”

Danon may soon be in a position to have more influence over UN activities. He was elected in May to serve as vice president of the upcoming session of the UN General Assembly. For one year, he’ll chair the body’s meetings, have a say in setting its agenda, and oversee rules and decorum during its sessions. His election is seen by many observers as a major victory for Israel, which has been very vocal in its criticism of what it calls the UN’s long-standing bias against the Jewish state.

The Early Days

Louis Kaplan, founder of Jewish Voice Broadcasts radio program.

Louis Kaplan’s commitment to use his voice to declare the mighty acts of God to his generation and to the next is the foundation for the work of Jewish Voice Ministries International (JVMI). Kaplan, a Jewish follower of Yeshua, launched Jewish Voice Broadcasts in 1967, a weekly 15-minute radio program It was an outgrowth of his decades of work as a traveling evangelist,. The radio program and the program first aired on Christian radio in Phoenix, Arizona.

1967 was a watershed year in Jewish history. Israel reclaimed the city of Jerusalem in the Six-Day War on June 7th, 1967. This miraculous act was a fulfillment of a prophecy in Luke 21:24 that directly connects the reestablishment of Jerusalem with the times of the Gentiles being fulfilled.

Louis Kaplan believed he’d followed his Savior to the crossroads of prophetic history. He’d committed his life to Yeshua at age 19 at the height of the Great Depression after attending a revival meeting at a nearby church. He said, READ THE REST
