Stick with Bridenstine in Oklahoma

I live in Oklahoma. For voting purposes, I reside in Oklahoma’s First Congressional District. That means my Congressman is incumbent Jim Bridenstine – Republican. In the 2012 Primary Bridenstine upset then Republican incumbent John Sullivan who had been the District’s Representative since 2002.

Sullivan was considered a Conservative, but Bridenstine ran as a Tea Party candidate, meaning as an antiestablishment Republican. Bridenstine has stood true to the Conservative antiestablishment principles that enabled him to defeat Sullivan and eventually win the 2012 general election.

Now we are in 2016. Bridenstine is facing a Primary challenge from longtime Tulsa oilman Tom Atkinson. Atkinson definitely has money because he has run political ads promoting his Conservative credentials and his lifelong Tulsa heritage. I have checked out the Atkinson campaign website and he indeed has a Conservative heritage. … But, so had former Representative Sullivan.

For me, the term “longtime Tulsa oilman” signifies a Republican Establishment candidate. Again for me, that means he is a status quo kind of guy that Conservatives need to walk away from within the GOP. If the GOP Establishment gets its way, then it will be time for Conservatives to form their own Political Party to erase the Republican Party as did the Republicans did the Whig Party by 1860.

I am staying with Jim Bridenstine as my Congressman in the 1st Congressional District of Oklahoma. My fellow Conservatives, encourage Republican voters to stick with Bridenstine in the June 28th Primary so Conservative Independents can vote for him in the November 8th General Election.

FreedomWorks

Rep. Jim Bridenstine (R-Okla.) was elected to the U.S. House of representatives in 2013 and represents Oklahoma’s First Congressional District. A military veteran, Rep. Bridenstine served nine years as an aviator for the United States Navy and experienced combat in both Iraq and Afghanistan. Today, he continues to serve in the National Guard.

Rep. Bridenstine isn’t one to stand down from a fight, especially if it is something he firmly believes is right. Upon entering Congress, Bridenstine’s first official vote was against John Boehner’s (R-OH) selection as Speaker of the House in 2013. He has been a member of the House Freedom Caucus, which aims to support, “open, accountable and limited government, the Constitution and the rule of law, and policies that promote the liberty,” since its inception.

Overall, Rep. Bridenstine boasts a 95 percent lifetime rating on the FreedomWorks Congressional Scorecard. His belief in free market values, entrepreneurship, and fiscal constraint are consistently evident with legislation he supports and introduces in Congress. He has voted to repeal Obamacare, to reduce federal spending, eliminate unnecessary federal programs at the Department of Energy, and to try and prevent the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) from regulating nearly any waterway in the United States.

He has been a vocal opponent of increasing federal regulations on education, signing on as a co-sponsor of H. Res. 476, legislation which would denounce President Obama’s effort to impose Common Core on the states through applications for federal grants. In the energy sector, Rep. Bridenstine stands in support of American citizens and businesses rather than the federal government and its regulatory regime, as he sponsored H.R. 1487, the American Energy Renaissance Act, to prevent EPA regulations from shuttering the coal industry while also increasing American energy exports by lifting the crude oil export ban.

Rep. Bridenstine has also labored to increase public accountability of his fellow legislators. On January 6, 2016, he introduced H.R. 4328, the Read the Bill Act, which would “prohibit the consideration in the House or Senate of any legislation over 300 pages which has not been published online at least 72 working hours prior to consideration, would require an additional 24-hours for every 100 pages of bill text beyond 300 pages, and take away the force of law of any legislation using ‘fast track’ procedures.” He is also a co-sponsor of H.R. 4486, the Do Your Job Act, which would prevent the payment of salaries of members of the House or Senate if the respective chamber does not hold a vote on final passage of each of the 12 regular appropriations bills prior to the end of the fiscal year.

With an undergraduate degree from Rice University with three majors, an MBA from Cornell University, service to his country in the military, and experience as the executive director of the Tulsa Air and Space Museum & Planetarium, Bridenstine is a particularly seasoned leader. He currently sits on both the Committee on Armed Services and the Committee on Science, Space, and Technology. He has a specific interest in space affairs and praises entrepreneurs for advancing breakthroughs in space technology.

He believes NASA has become a “jack of all trades” and hopes to help it focus on human exploration and pioneering space, as was its main objective in 1958. Through his legislation, H.R. 4945, the American Space Renaissance Act, he proposes that the Pentagon should focus on buying services from commercial providers instead of owning all the systems itself and transition from a very few large and expensive government satellites to a system of smaller, less-expensive ones. He has a website detailing the aspects of his bill.

Rep. Jim Bridenstine is a patriot and a statesman. He has spent his time in the House of Representatives fighting for the Constitution and fiscal responsibility. He has taken on leadership that has gone astray, and is a voice for his constituents… For these reasons, we’re proud to name Rep. Jim Bridenstine FreedomWorks’ Congressman of the Month for May, 2016!

Cochran Election Fraud MS

John R. Houk

© August 29, 2014

In my last blog post I wrote an update on Chris McDaniel’s challenge of the June 24 runoff GOP Primary in which McDaniel found 25,000 suspicious ballots and has evidence of 40,000 Dem Party voters that voted in both the Dem Primary and the GOP Primary which is specifically illegal under Mississippi state law.

It is becoming apparent that not only is the State of Mississippi political parties are dominated by each spectrum’s version of the Establishment, but even the judicial system is plagued with good ol’ boy authority thinking. The judge’s lame good ol’ boy ruling was McDaniel waited too long to challenge the voting results:

JACKSON, Miss. (AP) – A Mississippi judge has dismissed a lawsuit that seeks to overturn Sen. Thad Cochran’s victory in a Republican primary runoff.

Judge Hollis McGehee said Friday that state Sen. Chris McDaniel, who lost to Cochran, failed to start the election challenge on time.

McDaniel is expected to appeal McGehee’s ruling to the Mississippi Supreme Court.

McGehee issued his ruling Friday in Gulfport, a day after hearing arguments in Laurel about the timing of McDaniel’s lawsuit. The judge agreed with Cochran attorneys. They cited a 1959 Mississippi Supreme Court ruling that said an election challenge must begin within 20 days of the election. McDaniel waited 41 days.

McDaniel’s lawsuit claims irregularities spoiled the June 24 runoff. It asks the judge to declare McDaniel the winner or order a new runoff.

McDaniel argued that the 20 day deadline was no longer the law. After McGehee’s ruling, McDaniel’s attorneys indicated that he most likely will take the weekend to decide whether to appeal the McGehee ruling to the Supreme Court.

McDaniel was defeated by six-term incumbent Cochran in the June 24 runoff by 7,667 votes out of the 392,197 cast statewide.

McDaniel claims that his campaign has found about 15,000 questionable ballots statewide. Cochran has disputed those claims, saying any irregularities were miniscule. (Bold Text is Blog Editor’s – Challenge Dismissed, Judge Says McDaniel Waited Too Long; By STEVE ROGERS; WCBI.com [local CBS affiliate]; 8/29/14)

According to this report McDaniel believes the 20 day deadline is not a law any longer in Mississippi. If McDaniel is correct the Judge’s decision is obviously one of those corrupt good ol’ boy decisions. The State GOP and the Mississippi judicial system put up all kinds of road blocks to stall the actual McDaniel filing. I have no doubt the ‘stalling’ was a deliberate ploy with this legal maneuver of the 20 day time limit as the back-up plan for a court challenge.

If the “15,000” questionable ballots is true, then McDaniel has amended his original accusation of 25,000 questionable ballots. Nonetheless 15,000 fraudulent ballots is still way more than the alleged 7,667 margin of victory the State of Mississippi has certified.

In a 2007 PDF on the justice.gov website here are the reasons and authority for Federal involvement in an election fraud case:

B. TYPES OF ELECTION CRIMES

1. Election Fraud

Election fraud usually involves corruption of one of three processes: the obtaining and marking of ballots, the counting and certification of election results, or the registration of voters.

C. FEDERAL JURISDICTION

The federal government asserts jurisdiction over an election offense to ensure that basic rights of United States citizenship, and a fundamental process of representative democracy, remain uncorrupted. …

Election crime cases tend to be long-term prosecutive projects focusing on individuals with different degrees of culpability. The ultimate goal is to move up the ladder of culpability to candidates, political operatives, public officials, and others who attempted to corrupt, or did corrupt, the public office involved.

Federal jurisdiction over election fraud is easily established in elections when a federal candidate is on the ballot. The mere listing of a federal candidate’s name on a ballot is sufficient under most of the federal statutes used to prosecute voter fraud to satisfy federal jurisdiction. This generally occurs in what are called “mixed” elections, when federal and nonfederal candidates are running simultaneously. In such cases, the federal interest is based on the presence of a federal candidate, whose election may be tainted, or appear tainted, by the fraud, a potential effect that Congress has the constitutional authority to regulate under Article I, Section 2, clause 1; Article I, Section 4, clause 1; Article II, Section 1, clause 2; and the Seventeenth Amendment.

In short, the absence of a federal candidate from the ballot can present federal law enforcement with special challenges in attaining federal jurisdiction over election crime. Those challenges can sometimes be met, provided the investigation focuses on identifying additional facts that are needed to invoke application of the federal criminal laws that potentially apply to both federal and nonfederal elections. These generally include election frauds that involve the necessary participation of public officers, notably election officials acting “under color of law,” voting by noncitizens, and fraudulently registering voters.

… (Bold Text Blog Editor – Federal Prosecution of Election Offenses, Seventh Edition; By Craig C. Donsanto and Nancy L. Simmons; Public Integrity Section, Criminal Division – justice.gov; May 2007; 326 pp.)

If McDaniel insists on a Federal criminal investigation for a United States Senate election Holder’s Justice Department is obligated to investigate. BUT we all know Holder hasn’t been too keen on enforcing the law pertaining to corruption and on matters of the Republican Party unless perhaps he sees an opportunity to embarrass Republicans.

Here is the email alert I received from the Tea Party Leadership Fund today posted below. In full disclosure and as is usual the case in an email alert there is an element of fund raising involved. It is up to you if you choose to support Conservative principles and/or the Tea Party Movement in general with these guys. There are pluses and minuses with all the Tea Party organizations which are generally autonomous of each other.

Tea Party Leadership Fund

Pay offs? Bribes? Back-room deals? Steak dinners? Thad Cochran’s hoping you have forgotten how he sold-out to steal the Mississippi primary out from under the tea party hero Chris McDaniel.

NOW, the lawsuit to overturn Thad’s bought-and-paid-for June primary has been filed and DISMISSED!!!

**Now we MUST make sure Chris McDaniel has the resources he needs to take this to the Mississippi State Supreme Court.**

A word of thanks from Chris — “We’ve always appreciated the strong support of the all our friends in the Tea Party movement, including Tea Party Leadership Fund PAC which maxxed out to both our primary and run-off and now our legal defense fund, and helped raise more than $20,000 from its donors for this campaign.”

**Taking this to the Mississippi State Supreme Court to overturn the dismissal, and rightfully beating Cochran for a 3rd time will take your support. Will you chip in $5 or more? We MUST win Mississippi!**

But the truth is: the establishment cannot buy 40,000 illegal Democrat votes to win a Republican primary runoff and expect silence from the tea party about it.

Mississippi election law states, any voter who casts their primary ballot for a member of their party MAY NOT crossover and cast a vote in the other political party’s runoff election.

Thad Cochran’s hoping you forgot how:

1.

The National Republican Senatorial Committee has abandoned its mission fighting Democrats AND they’ll spend more than $1 million in the next 6 days to protect its ‘obedient buddy’ Thad Cochran.

2.

Liberal money man Michael Bloomberg has helped raise a quick $2 Million for Cochran’s campaign efforts.

3.

Democrat spin-master, James Warren, worked for the Mississippi Conservatives PAC to forge its statewide plan to turn out votes for Cochran;

4.

The NRSC also blasted out emails accusing McDaniel of being a racist, a bigot, and a gaffe prone fool;

5.

The Mississippi Federation of College Republicans ousted its own executive director — Kolby Busby — when he voiced his support for McDaniel;

6.

The National Republican Senatorial Committee colluded with Cochran to blame McDaniel for photo-stalking Cochran’s wife.

And if that’s not enough, the smoking gun….

Mississippi Democratic Party Chairman, Rickey Cole is “willing to bet a steak dinner” more than one Democrat was scared into casting a second ineligible vote for Cochran.

After Dave Brat’s historic defeat of Republican Majority Leader and Obama collaborator Eric Cantor, the establishment Republicans and the Left have made no secret of their alliance to defeat you.

Mississippi, and the rest of the country MUST discover the truth about Thad Cochran, the establishment, and the Mississippi Primary election.

For Freedom,

Rusty Humphries

P.S. Will you chip in $5 or $25 or more to overturn the sham election and boost the Palin endorsed Chris McDaniel to victory?

About The Tea Party Leadership Fund

In 2009, Americans from all walks of life came together and proclaimed they had had enough. The government had grown too big and too intrusive and too many people were depending on it to make their decisions for them.

The movement took on the name the “Tea Party.” But there is much confusion about our movement. There is no single Tea Party, it is comprised of thousands of individual groups all across America who share common values such as limited government, individual freedom, personal responsibility, and returning political power to the states and the people.

The Tea Party Leadership Fund is a leader in this freedom movement – an outgrowth of TheTeaParty.Net, the Leadership Fund applies the same values to supporting the election of strong Conservatives nationwide – putting your nationwide support into local action.

We are dedicated to recruiting Americans who share the Founding Fathers vision of America as a beacon of liberty and hope throughout the world. We are a grassroots movements bringing ordinary citizens together to advance fundamentally American values. We are not a political party and are not beholden to any party or politician. We seek to reform the entire political environment from the bottom up and return political power to where it was always intended: the American people.

McDaniel: Declare me the winner

By Cameron Joseph

August 04, 2014, 04:15 pm

The Hill

Mississippi state Sen. Chris McDaniel (R) demanded that the state Republican Party overturn Sen. Thad Cochran’s June primary victory and declare him the winner in a Monday press conference.

“They asked us to put up or shut up. Here we are. Here we are with the evidence,” McDaniel declared before yielding the podium to his lawyer, who said that the state party should overturn the election’s results because of allegations of crossover voting from Democrats, many of them African-American. Cochran won the June 24 runoff election by 7,667 votes.

“We anticipate that after they review the challenge that they’ll see that Chris McDaniel clearly won the Republican vote in the runoff,” said McDaniel attorney Mitch Tyner. “Chris McDaniel clearly won the runoff by 25,000 votes. … We’re not asking for a new election. We’re simply asking that the Republican Party actually recognize the person who won the runoff election.”

Tyner brandished a binder which he claimed outlined all the voters the McDaniel campaign says did or may have broken the law by voting in the GOP primary runoff after earlier voting in the Democratic primary, arguing there were more than 15,000 votes that should be thrown out.

While McDaniel’s lawyer demanded a public hearing from the state Republican Executive Committee next Tuesday, he did not walk through what the actual violations were.

McDaniel also took a shot at Cochran’s campaign, accusing them of race-baiting in the primary. Cochran’s allies made explicit appeals to black Democrats to have them cross over in the primary.

“There is no place in the Republican Party for those that would race-bait,” he said.

A number of Republicans have accused McDaniel of race-baiting as well following his targeting of black crossover votes. McDaniel has been refusing for weeks to concede the race.

After the press conference, Cochran’s campaign said they had hired the firm of Butler Snow to represent them in the election contest, but said they remain confident in their outright victory and slammed McDaniel for continuing to drag out the contest.

“Like other Mississippians, we have watched with interest as the McDaniel campaign has made repeated and baseless allegations of fraud and misconduct against not only members of the Cochran campaign staff, but also Circuit Clerks and volunteer poll workers around the state,” said Cochran campaign attorney Mark Garriga.

“The filing of this challenge marks the point where this matter moves from an arena of press conferences and rhetoric into a setting where nothing matters but admissible evidence and the rule of law,” Garriga continued. “We look forward to holding the McDaniel campaign to the burden of proof that the law requires – and, we are dedicated to the defense of the votes of those Mississippians who voted on June 24 for Thad Cochran as their United States Senator, an election which has been as thoroughly reviewed and examined as any in modern Mississippi history.”

A Citizen Legislator

Joe Carr 2

Justin Smith is writing in support of Joe Carr to unseat Republican Senator Lamar Alexander in Tennessee’s next Primary. You Tennessean voters need to read this if you are a Conservative pro-Second Amendment citizen. Smith itemizes a few of Senator Alexander’s failures in this regard.

Joe Carr is the Tea Party and Conservative anti-establishment hopeful to replace Senator Alexander. I am one of those that believes the GOP Establishment needs to be replaced with Conservatives that actually believe in less government, a fairer tax system, immigration reform that does not include outright amnesty, a free market economy and most of all – Original Intent interpretations of the U.S. Constitution over the Leftist deluded dilution of a Living Constitution. From what I have read Joe Carr represents the real Conservatives and Senator Alexander has swayed to status quo politics that essentially gives the farm away in compromises with Obama’s Leftist transformation vision of a new USA.

According to the Wall Street Journal, a Republican pollster places Senator Alexander up by 30 points from July 22-23 polling. My guess is the pollster asked GOP Establishment questions to bolster Alexander among Tennessee voters. That does sound a bit unsurmountable for Joe Carr, BUT David Brat showed that the GOP Establishment does not always get it right with the voters. Ask Eric Cantor.

A Citizen Legislator

More Than A Republican

By Justin O. Smith

Sent: 7/26/2014 6:34 PM

Last week State Representative Joe Carr (R) brought his bid for the U.S. Senate against incumbent Senator Lamar Alexander (R) to the national spotlight. On July 14th, nationally recognized radio and television political analyst, Laura Ingraham endorsed Joe Carr and backed her endorsement with a rousing rally for Carr on July 22nd, in front of approximately 600 people at the Millennium Maxwell Hotel in Nashville, TN. And the very next day, Sarah Palin, former Governor of Alaska, also offered her strong support and endorsement of Mr. Joe Carr.

It is no wonder that intelligent, strong, conservative women, such as Laura Ingraham and Sarah Palin, would support Joe Carr’s candidacy for the U.S. Senate, especially when one compares the pedigree of Carr’s and Alexander’s ideas. Carr stands on principles over politics in Tennessee’s 48th District, while Senator Lamar Alexander is far too willing to compromise with Obama and the Progressives to the point of betraying Tennesseans and the American people and facilitating Obama’s fundamental transformation of America, on issues like Obamacare/ACA, immigration “reform”, Common Core and our Second Amendment Rights.

In April 2013, Senator Alexander sided with Obama, Senator Harry Reid (D-NV) and the Progressive Democrats in their Toomey-Manchin gun registration scheme, S. 649, and voted against Senator Rand Paul’s filibuster. This was certainly a betrayal, since Alexander professes to be “pro-gun.”

Joe Carr clearly stands for the Second Amendment and against any anti-gun legislation. Carr has sponsored several bills in the Tennessee legislature that would expand gun owners’ rights, and he embraces ideas like “Constitutional Carry.”

On May 13, 2014, Alexander would not give the ‘Knoxville Sentinel‘ a “yes” or “no” answer whether he supports Common Core State Standards in education. And Joe Carr immediately asked, “How is it possible that the senior Senator from Tennessee can’t give Tennessee parents a ‘yes or no’ answer about the future of their kids’ education?” Carr concluded with, “I am fighting to repeal Common Core and I’d like to know if Sen. Alexander will join that fight or not.”

Repealing Obamacare/ACA is an issue of critical importance to many Americans, and it is beyond disgusting to witness Progressive Republicans-In-Name-Only, such as Lamar Alexander, pretend they cannot stop Obamacare. Alexander says he has voted 23 times to repeal Obamacare, and yet, when he had the opportunity to defund or delay the ACA in October 2013, he joined 28 other turncoat Republicans and voted to pass cloture in the Senate, 83-16.

Joe Carr has led the fight in Tennessee against building the ACA mandated “healthcare” exchanges. He has co-sponsored legislation that would prohibit Tennessee from participating in any Medicaid expansion authorized under the ACA, and he has co-sponsored a bill designed to halt implementation of regulatory schemes to operate the ACA, because most Americans are still completely opposed to the ACA and its controls over one-sixth of the economy and the individual.

When Alexander voted for the Corker Hoeven Bill (June 24, 2013) and the Border Security, Economic Opportunity and Immigration Act (June 27, 2013), essentially giving amnesty to upwards of 30 million illegal aliens, he had to shamelessly align himself against his constituents in Tennessee and join a coalition of business groups, unions, gay rights, Latino and immigration advocates and quislings and Progressive Democrats, such as Chuck Schumer (NY) and Robert Menendez (NJ), in order to see both bills pass.

Joe Carr has fought hard to stop the illegal immigration problem in Tennessee, and he has set a national standard. On June 8, 2011, his Tennessee Lawful Employment Act (E-Verify/ HB1378) was signed into law. He has also sponsored legislation to prohibit “sanctuary cities”. Carr understands that the immigration “reform” bills passed by the U.S. Senate have contributed to the rise in illegal aliens attempting to cross the southern border, and he knows this is simply one more way for the Progressive Democrats to “perpetuate their attacks on the American way of life,” as he often states.

As Sarah Palin explained in her endorsement (The Washington Post July 23/ Sean Sullivan): “He’s stood up to those in his own party, fighting to enact some of the toughest illegal immigration legislation in the country and working to make Tennessee the 4th most business friendly state in the nation.”

Regarding Lamar Alexander’s Senate record, Palin stated, “Unfortunately advocating for amnesty, cash for clunkers, bailouts, raising the debt ceiling and many controversial Obama administration nominees has marred the incumbent’s record. It’s time for a change.”

On every issue critical to America, Lamar Alexander has sided with Democrats. He voted to take away Veterans’ benefits in 2012 and in February 2014. He believes in the Progressives’ man-made global warming myth and has signed on to the EPA’s job-killing initiatives and proposed massive spending on “green energy.” He has voted for every tax-hike. And, he also undermined true conservative Chris McDaniel’s Senate bid in Mississippi by donating $10,000 to Thad Cochran.

Much in the manner that a relatively unknown challenger, Dave Brat, was able to upset House Majority Leader Eric Cantor in Virginia’s June election, Joe Carr espouses very similar views to those held by Brat, and Carr stands strong on principled ideas and the U.S. Constitution , as it relates to issues, such as illegal immigration. This has enabled Carr to close a 24 point percentage gap to seven points over the past two months, according to Triton Polling, illustrating his fighting spirit.

Just as Laura Ingraham told Carr’s supporters, “What we need now in our country, we need fighters, we need individuals who stand up, buck the powers that be whether they be on the left and the right.” And during her July 14th radio show, she described Carr as being “no nonsense, a citizen legislator.”

The head of steam that gathered under Joe Carr’s campaign is rapidly becoming  a wave of support, as Tennesseans are in agreement with Sarah Palin that, “Joe Carr is the new voice Tennessee needs in the U.S. Senate,” because time and again he has taken the overreach of the Federal government to task and asked the right questions. Do we need an EPA so large it requires armed personnel, and do we need an IRS that requires 20,000 more agents just to enforce Obamacare? Never has any one vote been of such critical importance to Tennessee, possibly America, as the one voters cast on August 7th, if one cares about states’ rights and personal liberty as much as Joe Carr does.

If Joe’s own words do not inspire some to vote for him, they should certainly make us all think about the direction we are taking our nation: “It’s not enough to be a Republican. I’m a conservative and a Constitutionalist. … We are not at the 11th hour, we are at the midnight hour … I’m going up there (Washington, D.C.) to start a fight. We (our leaders in Congress/the Executive) have trampled on the legacy of 56 men who signed the Declaration of Independence.”

I am a supporter of Sarah Palin. Because of my support my interest is always piqued when she endorses someone. I wish Palin would run for public office but as time slips on by that is becoming more and more unlikely. With the beginning of endorsements for the 2014 election cycle it increases my reasoning that Palin will announce any kind of candidacy for the time being.

It has come to my attention Sarah Palin has endorsed Katrina Pierson Republican Tea Party candidate to run against in the tank for Obamacare and the Obama agenda incumbent Republican Rep. Pete Sessions of Texas 32nd District for the House of Representatives.

The Lame Stream Media and the Republican Establishment must be worried because are in character assassination mode toward Tea Party activist Pierson. An article in the Texas Observer relating a Slate article that brought out some data showing Pierson was receiving unemployment funds while she was consulting for Senator Ted Cruz’s campaign.

The picture painted is that Katrina Pierson must be a Tea Party hypocrite for taking government money for being (what?) unemployed. Now who has been in our nation’s Executive Office for nearly 6 years with little to no improvement in the U.S. economy or unemployment stats for better or worse depending on the scrubbed numbers provided by the White House?

The picture also painted is Pierson may have done something illegal while receiving unemployment benefits while consulting for Senator Ted Cruz. Since the Texas Observer article does not mention if Pierson received compensation from the Cruz campaign I am guessing there was nothing illegal there. Even if there was consulting beneficiary for Pierson I suspect it would have to substantial enough to be considered employment rather than doing odd jobs while waiting for a job compensatory to her former employment. After the article talked about her activism as a Tea Party advocate and being a spokesperson against U.N. Agenda 21 as if that is a crazy nut thing to do as Leftists would have you believe. Since only crazy people would be against the U.N. stepping on U.S. sovereignty telling Americans and making rules for Americans to manage their own land whether for agriculture or some kind of natural resource usage.

It’s hard not to think that more than a few of Pierson’s fellow conservatives might be bothered by the prospect that their tax dollars were subsidizing her full-time activism—they would certainly be furious if a Battleground Texas organizer did the same. I wouldn’t argue that the jobless should cease their political activity, but Pierson’s supporters might. Sessions, for his part, called a potential federal extension of unemployment benefits “immoral” just last week.

Pierson’s primary challenge to Sessions has been pretty much the only credible tea party primary challenge to an incumbent representative this cycle, so her failure to launch has really been something. Pierson has seemed to flounder, despite her ties to Ted Cruz’s 2012 campaign (and the endorsement of both Cruz’s father, Rafael, and Sarah Palin,) and her high profile in the activist community. She hasn’t been able to draw on the resources that might help make her candidacy viable—Sessions had accumulated over 20 times Pierson’s campaign cash at the end of January.

Sessions is conservative, make no mistake about it. But in his nearly two decades in Washington, he’s accumulated a thick layer of grime. He was an associate of both Jack Abramoff and Allen Stanford. In a comic example of congressional excess, Sessions once earmarked $1.6 million dollars for “dirigible research” by an Illinois company that employed a former aide as a lobbyist. (The company had no previous experience with dirigibles.) (The Katrina Pierson Bubble Bursts; By Christopher Hooks; Texas Observer; 2/24/14 at 9:35 CST)

In one breath the article author Hooks tells us to “make no mistake” that Sessions is a Conservative but has had money scandals with Jack Abramoff, Allen Stanford and sending $1.6 million bucks to an Illinois dirigible company that employed a former Sessions aid. Hooks also fails to mention that Sessions’ Conservative bona fides is questionable with the Congressman’s support of Obamacare. Pete Sessions is only Conservative enough to try to look good to his 32nd District voters. When it comes to the issues that it is time to put his so-called Conservative foot down Sessions tows the Republican Establishment line.

I am looking at Katrina Pierson’s candidacy because of a Conservative Campaign Committee (CCC) email promoting her with publicizing Sarah Palin’s endorsement. I am cross posting the email below because it has quoted Palin on the endorsement. You should know that this email was sent on 2/23/14. I am telling you this because there is a time sensitive request for funding a pro-Pierson TV ad that provides a deadline for the 24th. Of course that deadline has passed as of this post but I am sure the CCC would still accept targeted donations for Katrina Pierson. I probably should ad that the CCC is a Tea Party organization that probably is not directly affiliated with the Pierson campaign.

FANTASTIC:  Sarah Palin Makes Powerful Endorsement

Sent by Conservative Campaign Committee

There was big news for conservatives this week:  Governor Sarah Palin made her 1st endorsement of the 2014 election cycle, and she chose to endorse Conservative Republican Katrina Pierson for Congress!

Here’s what Gov. Palin had to say in her endorsement of Pierson:

“Katrina Pierson is an emerging leader and important voice for the future of the grassroots conservative movement.  Her life’s story is full of hardship she has fought to overcome, which taught her firsthand the importance of self-reliance, hard work, and the blessings of liberty.

A feisty fighter for freedom, Katrina is taking on a powerful incumbent who has so lost touch with the people of his district that he’s not even bothering to spend much time in Texas anymore. It’s not only his district he’s lost touch with, but also the issues important to the voters there. He used his powerful position to oppose the movement to defund Obamacare, has voted to raise the debt ceiling, and has been an advocate for the NSA intrusion into our freedoms.

When asked about Katrina’s primary challenge, he said, “these things happen.” Yes, they do. We all know what happens when we come together to support a good candidate like Katrina – the permanent political class loses and We the People win! We win by electing a fighter we can depend on like Katrina Pierson.

Ted Cruz calls Katrina “an utterly fearless principled conservative.” He should know. Katrina was among the conservative grassroots warriors in Texas who worked tirelessly to elect Senator Cruz.”

The election takes place less than 2 weeks from now, so time is of the essence.

We are now preparing our first TV ad buy in support of Katrina Pierson, and we must raise $7,315 by tomorrow in order to pay for this ad buy.  You can help us reach this goal by making a contribution – HERE.

We need 67 people to contribute $100 or more by tomorrow morning if we are going to reach our goal.  To contribute $100 or more online – CLICK HERE.

Katrina Pierson served on the steering committee of the Dallas Tea Party for 5 years, is founder of the Garland Tea Party, and was a member of the Tea Party Caucus Advisory Committee.  She has been fighting in the trenches for conservative causes for years!

What is perhaps most inspiring about Katrina Pierson’s life story is the passion and determination she has shown in making her life a success story.  You see, Katrina grew up on welfare to a teenage mother.  Instead of falling into a life of government-dependency, Katrina was determined to make something of her life and applied hard work and determination to pursue the American Dream.

Pierson has been an advocate for conservative policies and challenged the establishment of both the Republican and Democrat parties.  You’ve no doubt seen her on Fox News Channel fighting for the conservative movement.  Here is a screen grab of her during one such appearance on Fox News with Neil Cavuto:

Cavuto-Pierson Fox News Screen Capture

That’s why Katrina Pierson has been endorsed by Governor Sarah Palin, the Tea Party Express, FreedomWorks, the Conservative Campaign Committee, the Republican Liberty Caucus, the American Gun Rights organization, the conservative SHE-PAC organization (sic), Michelle Malkin, Rafael Cruz (Ted Cruz’s father), Joe The Plumber and conservatives across the nation.

Ted Cruz has heaped praise on Pierson, calling her:  “An utterly fearless principled conservative” and Cruz praised Pierson with good reason.  You see, Katrina Pierson was one of the leading campaigners for Ted Cruz, helping him to get elected to the U.S. Senate:

It’s not just that Katrina Pierson is so great, but her opponent – incumbent Congressman Pete Sessions – needs to be ousted from Congress.   Sessions bad-mouthed the effort to defund and repeal ObamaCare, with Sessions saying “we do not want to stop it.”

But guess what Pete Sessions has stopped?  He’s blocked the Select Committee to investigate the Benghazi terrorist scandal including the lies and deceptions being promulgated by the Obama administration.

This key Midterm Election takes place March 4th – less than one month away, so we must get to work right now to win this campaign for Conservative Republican Katrina Pierson.

You can support our independent expenditure campaign supporting Katrina Pierson by making a contribution online – HERE.

You can contribute as little as $5 up to the maximum allowed contribution of $5,000.  To kick off our campaign we need 200 people to make a contribution of $100 or more within the next 24 hours.  If you can afford to make a contribution of $100 or more – PLEASE CLICK HERE.

Ted Cruz and David Dewhurst appear to be the two biggest dogs in the GOP Primary race for the U.S. Senate in Texas. For a significant amount of time Dewhurst has been the favorite in that race. Dewhurst’s emerging problem right now is he represents establishment Republicans than Tea Party style Conservative Republicans. Indeed, Cruz has received endorsements from a slew of Tea Party style big dog Republicans and Tea Party organizations. Those endorsements for Cruz did not seem to close the gap between Cruz and Dewhurst.

Then enters the Sarah Palin endorsement for Ted Cruz! And BAM! The Cruz-Dewhurst gap is closing remarkably. Dewhurst seems to be so concerned he has been using his establishment riches to plant seeds of distrust about Cruz in negative. Cruz has cried foul claiming Dewhurst is lying. If Dewhurst is indeed lying and you Texans couple the lying with a Palin endorsement, I highly recommend joining Palin’s endorsement and vote for Ted Cruz for the U.S. Senate in the great State of Texas.

Below are two emails from two different Tea Party organizations extolling the amazing political pull Sarah Palin has in swaying Republican voters to be faithful Conservatives.

Palin Endorse Ted Cruz

Dear Patriot,

Despite literally millions of dollars in false, negative advertising by his opponent, we’ve seen growing momentum at the Ted Cruz for Senate campaign. It’s no secret that America needs conservative leaders in Washington, leaders who will make the tough choices we need to get America back on the right track.

This is why Ted Cruz has received the endorsement from conservative leaders from across the country, including Rep. Ron Paul, Sen. Rand Paul, Sen. Pat Toomey, Sen. Mike Lee, and Sen. Jim DeMint. And it’s exactly why I’m proud to announce that our campaign received the endorsement of Gov. Sarah Palin this week!

Join Governor Palin in Supporting Ted Cruz

Here is what Gov. Palin had to say about Ted Cruz in her endorsement:

“Your conservative principles, passionate defense of our Constitution and our free market system come at a time when these cornerstones of our freedom and prosperity are under attack. Our shared goal isn’t just to change the majority in control of the Senate, but to assure principled conservatives like you are there to fight for us.”

We are humbled and honored to receive Gov. Palin’s endorsement, and I can tell you that her support has triggered another surge of momentum at just the right time! Election Day is May 29, and we are fighting for every vote.

This has been, and continues to be, an extremely hard fought election. We’ve built this campaign on grassroots support, and we’re confident that our millions of supporters will lead us to a big win on Election Day. But it won’t be easy.

Our opponent has run one of the nastiest, most negative campaigns in Texas history, spending $1 million a week on false and misleading negative ads. There’s something that you can do, however, to help us combat these negative ads and bring Ted Cruz’s constitutional conservative, free-market principles to Washington.

Please stand with Gov. Sarah Palin in support of the conservative candidate for US Senate: Ted Cruz. By making a donation today of $25, $50, or even $100 or more, you can join the movement to elect Ted Cruz.

Sincerely,

John Drogin

Cruz campaign reports Sarah Palin bounce – election only 2 weeks away

Ted Cruz - TPX Podium

Sarah Palin’s endorsement has brought momentum to the Ted Cruz campaign at just the right time – the election is in 2 weeks!

We got word from Tea Party Express endorsed Texas U.S. Senate candidate Ted Cruz that the recent endorsement that he received from Sarah Palin has given his campaign a huge boost and added energy.

Many are referring to it as the Sarah Palin bounce: Just hours after the 2008 vice presidential nominee endorsed Ted Cruz, the headquarters in Austin reported a swift and positive reaction.

Campaign manager John Drogin confirmed that Palin’s endorsement “has added HUGE buzz to our campaign.  Phones are ringing, online contributions are pouring in, and supporters are more excited than ever on our social networks.”

This could not have come at a better time as the election is only 2 WEEKS away!  We must build on the momentum that Sarah Palin has provided us with.  The polls are tightening and Ted Cruz is closing in on his opponent David Dewhurst.

Just like in Indiana, the Tea Party candidate is surging at just the right time, but we need your immediate support to push him ahead!

Governor Sarah Palin wrote:

“We’re proud to join conservatives in Texas and throughout the nation in supporting your (Ted Cruz) campaign to become the next Senator from the Lone Star State.”

Will you stand with Governor Palin today and contribute $25, $50, $100 or even $250 to build our momentum?

If you haven’t heard about Ted Cruz, here is a little about why we have endorsed him and are fighting to send him to Washington:

Ted Cruz is a self-professed child of the Reagan revolution.  His parents fled Cuba after experiencing an oppressive government and instilled in Ted a profound respect and appreciation for freedom.  He understands that it is not our government that makes America run, but our entrepreneurial spirit.  He made money as a kid by reciting the Constitution from memory to Rotary Clubs in Texas and giving speeches on free-market economics.

As Solicitor General of Texas from 2003-2008, Cruz authored 80 U.S. Supreme Court briefs and personally argued 40 oral arguments, including 9 before the Supreme Court.  Named “a Republican star rising in Texas” and “a great Reaganite hope” by the National Review, Ted Cruz has led the fight against Obama’s offshore drilling moratorium and for private property rights for Americans.  His “Growth and Jobs Agenda” promotes a limited government plan that pledges to repeal ObamaCare and Dodd-Frank, kill Cap and Trade, and dramatically simplify the tax code.

We were honored to travel around the great state of Texas with him last month to endorse his campaign and hope that you will be as excited as we are about his candidacy.  We just held numerous rallies for Ted Cruz all across Texas this last week to rally support as part of our “Restoring the American Dream” bus tour.

We have a great candidate that we all need to support to send him to Washington!

One of Tea Party Express’ top priorities in 2012 is to elect a conservative majority to the U.S. Senate, and thanks to patriots like Ted Cruz, we are well on our way to doing just that.  But we need your support if we are going to be successful and finish the work we all started in 2010.

Donate $25, $50, $100, $250, $500, $1000, or even more! Click here to contribute now!
