Defeat the Islamic Invasion with Christ

I just finished reading an interesting essay from the Acton Institute by Ed West. The essay is about the Muslim migration to Europe. West notes that the Europe has become a secularist society in which the Christian influence that developed Western Culture and mores has been pushed to near non-existence.

Then West notes that a Europe that replaced Christianity with religion-killing Multiculturalism. A lying Multiculturalism that claims to accept everything that is diverse EXCEPT Christianity.

West does not specifically spell out a solution for the Muslim invasion rather he dwells on how it happened and its current affects.

Here is my suggestion to reverse the curse of observant Islam in Europe which will be a great inoculation for America’s future. BUT my suggestion will drive Leftists, Multiculturalists and – wait for it – Muslims – crazy.

It is time for Christian Americans to evangelize Europe to return faith to Europeans. The obstacle to evangelism is that secularist Multiculturalism is so entrenched that Europe’s hate-speech laws that look away when it comes to Islam is avidly anti-Christian. Until those hate-speech laws are reversed to allow Christians to criticize Islam as much as Muslims are able to criticize Christianity in some of the most vile hate-preaching imaginable, Christian evangelism will have to avoid speaking the truth about Islam as compared to the Christian faith.

Christian evangelism will have to focus on the power of Christ’s Redemptive purpose for humanity and hammer the meaning of the Love of God which is finding Salvation. Even that will be a fine line because Biblical morality is harshly divergent from Secular Humanist morality. When Leftist alternative lifestyles criticize God’s morality, Evangelists will need to confront the criticism in the same manner the Early Christians confronted Roman polytheistic cosmopolitanism. Which was with steadfast faith in Christ without violence and willing to become a public yet moral spectacle even if it ends with a martyrdom quite different from Muslim martyrdom.

Muslim martyrdom is willing to die while killing as many non-Muslims as possible.

Christian martyrdom is to die alone or with fellow Believers as an example of faith in God. Christian martyrdom has a spiritual purpose to influence non-Christians that joy in Christianity is vastly different than selfish secularist joy which is only about self-gratification.

Devoted praying Christians believing in the unseen power of God over the seen power of a Leftist State and the seen power of Muslim violent Jihad, will prevail. THE KEY is the word “devoted”.

So you get the idea of the selfless devotion in prayer and faith in God that I am talking about, right? This is not a “let us bow our heads and pray” for five-seconds. This evangelistic prayer to revive Christianity in Europe and revitalize Christian faith in America, is a get down and get to work spiritually to cast down those unseen enemies that will eventually lose anyway if you read the end of The Revelation of John the Apostle.

Here is a character of evangelism that is work and will succeed and Christ will add to the invisible Church hastening the return of King Jesus from the Epistle to the Ephesians:

Therefore be imitators of God [copy Him and follow His example], as well-beloved children [imitate their father].

And walk in love, [esteeming and delighting in one another] as Christ loved us and gave Himself up for us, a [a]slain offering and sacrifice to God [for you, so that it became] a sweet fragrance.

For once you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord; walk as children of Light [lead the lives of those native-born to the Light].

For the fruit (the effect, the product) of the Light or[a]the Spirit [consists] in every form of kindly goodness, uprightness of heart, and trueness of life.

10 And try to learn [in your experience] what is pleasing to the Lord [let your lives be constant proofs of what is most acceptable to Him].

11 Take no part in and have no fellowship with the fruitless deeds and enterprises of darkness, but instead [let your lives be so in contrast as to] [b]expose and reprove and convict them.

12 For it is a shame even to speak of or mention the things that [such people] practice in secret.

13 But when anything is exposed and reproved by the light, it is made visible and clear; and where everything is visible and clear there is light.

14 Therefore He says, Awake, O sleeper, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall shine (make day dawn) upon you and give you light.

15 Look carefully then how you walk! Live purposefully and worthily and accurately, not as the unwise and witless, but as wise (sensible, intelligent people),

16 Making the very most of the time [buying up each opportunity], because the days are evil.

17 Therefore do not be vague and thoughtless and foolish, but understanding and firmly grasping what the will of the Lord is.

18 And do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery; but ever be filled and stimulated with the [Holy] Spirit.

19 Speak out to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, offering praise with voices [[c]and instruments] and making melody with all your heart to the Lord,

20 At all times and for everything giving thanks in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God the Father. (Ephesians 5: 1-2, 8-20; 6: 10-18 AMPC)

The spiritual cause and cure of the ‘European intifada’

By Ed West

Acton Institute

At the start of the Syrian migration crisis, an Israeli security official warned of a coming “European intifada.” Few noticed it at the time. But after a series of attacks on largely Jewish targets in France and Belgium, the new reality finally hit home in January 2015, when armed men opened fire at the Paris offices of the satirical newspaper Charlie Hebdo. Since then, terrorist atrocities have escalated through Paris, Nice, Belgium, Sweden, Berlin, and London. They include the murder of a priest by two Islamists in Normandy as he was saying Mass.

Charlie Hebdo is a tedious and tasteless publication that makes fun of dead children and has predictable 1968 views on almost everything, except one of the most sacred: criticism of Islam. The day of the massacre Hebdo featured as its front page a caricature of Michel Houellebecq, whose controversial new novel was published that week. Soumission is set in a France in the near future in which an Islamist party has come to power with the connivance of both the Left and Right in order to defeat the nativist National Front. Houellebecq, already in trouble for criticising France’s second largest religion in a previous work, has since moved to Ireland, seeing France as no longer safe. Soumission became a mega-bestseller. Also topping the charts that week was a polemic by Éric Zemmour, a journalist of Jewish-North African descent who has criticised mass immigration and the “demographic tsunami” it has brought.

The recent attacks in Manchester and London came as another important book was selling in vast numbers, The Strange Death of Europe by Douglas Murray, which has spent weeks at the top of the Sunday Times charts despite this subject being not the sort of thing one talks about in polite company. Murray’s book follows James Kirchick’s equally bleak-sounding The End of Europe: Dictators, Demagogues, and the Coming Dark Ages. In his book, Kirchick warns:

A Europe unmoored from the Enlightenment values it brought to the world, ignorant of and unwilling to protect its civilizational achievements, captive to chauvinist demagogues, indisposed to defend itself, bereft of its Jews, estranged from America, cowed before Russia, and reverted to its traditional state of nature with nations pursuing mercenary self-interest at the expense of unity would not only spell the end of Europe as we know it. Such a collapse would usher in nothing less than a new dark age.

Despite this, Kirchick is more optimistic than the title suggests. He concludes that the continent may get out of its current mess, if it can pool its resources and enjoy closer integration.

Others are not so optimistic. In Germany, historian Rolf Peter Sieferle has made even more of a splash. His account of German political psychology and its effects, Finis Germania, has enjoyed good sales just as it has been roundly condemned by the prestige press. Die Zeit called it a book of “brazen obscenity.” (He has not been able to enjoy his surprise bestseller, having taken his own life last September.)

A former socialist who grew disillusioned with his generation’s naivety, Sieferle wrote that “[a] society that can no longer distinguish between itself and the forces that would dissolve it is living morally beyond its means.” In fact, he argued, Germans actually want to disappear because of a belief that Germans are uniquely guilty due to the Holocaust – that they carry a blood guilt as “the absolute enemies of our common humanity,” becoming “a scapegoat people.”

This was perhaps why in 2015 German Chancellor Angela Merkel made the momentous decision to open her nation’s borders. The numbers involved, and the future implications for our continent, are staggering; the reasons for her decision remain a mystery. Earlier that year the chancellor had told Reem Sahwil, a 14-year-old Palestinian girl who wanted to stay in Germany, that if she allowed Sahwil’s family to stay in Germany, all Africans would want to join them. Germany “cannot cope with that,” she said.

Many in the German media criticised the coldness of Chancellor Merkel’s response and so when in late August migration pressure looked like overwhelming Greece and Italy, the Germans snapped. In August 2015, Merkel announced her open door policy, cloaking it in moral terms. “Universal civil rights were so far tied together with Europe and its history,” she said. “If Europe fails on the question of refugees, its close connection with universal civil rights will be destroyed. It won’t be the Europe we imagine.” As she told them, “Wir Schaffen das” – “We can do this.” What followed were scenes of jubilation among Germans as they welcomed refugees into their towns, as Murray writes:

As the trains came into the stations and the migrants got off and went through the crowds some locals wolf-whistled and gave them high-fives. Human chains of volunteers handed out food and gifts, including sweets and teddy bears for the children. It was not just an expression of the Willkommenskultur (“welcoming culture”) that Germany says it likes to practise. These migrants were not merely being welcomed. They were being celebrated, as though they were the local football team returning triumphant, or heroes returning from a war.

In just a year Germany accepted a total of 1.1 million migrants. Most were not Syrian, and most were not refugees as defined by the UN. Most were young men, and most intended to bring their family with them; once those relatives are taken into account, Germany will have experienced nothing short of a demographic revolution. At a time when low-skilled jobs are disappearing this is a potential explosive cocktail.

Kirchick wrote that “historical guilt for the crimes of Nazism inspired an open-door refugee policy as ill considered as it was well intentioned, the negative consequences of which will be felt for generations.” Among the new Germans was the Sahwil family, which was given permission to stay at the end of 2015. The young girl gave a little-noticed interview in which she said she hoped to return home one day … when Israel “is no longer there.”

Merkel’s executive decision was only an acceleration of a long-running trend that began after the Second World War with the first migrant workers in Britain, France, Germany, and the Low Countries. They were there for economic reasons, and people did not expect them to stay, but as Western Europe became diverse, much to the discomfort and opposition of people outside the political class, all sorts of rationalizations were offered. Yet as Murray accurately points out, at the heart of this was a spiritual void.

On a profound level, we imported religious people because of the absence of our own faith. Western Europe took immigrants from the Islamic world just as it was adopting bohemian culture mores, characterised by more liberal attitudes to drug and alcohol use, and extra-marital sex. The new “bourgeois-bohemian” middle class combined this countercultural individualism with the materialistic values of capitalism. Across 10 Western European countries, church attendance fell from 38.4 to 16.6 percent between 1975 and 1998. Europe became a consumerist paradise with an economic model that depended on demographic growth, which only religious societies can provide. In France, Caucasian women who practise religion have a half-child fertility advantage over the non-religious; in Austria self-identified atheists have fertility rates of just 0.86 children per woman.

It was assumed, if unspoken, that Muslim migrants – dressed in suits, often moderate beer drinkers – would become godless or at least less observant upon breathing European air, their children even more so. It’s safe to say there are now few people left who have not been disabused of this notion. Muslims arrived in a continent going through a revolutionary social change which made the path to integration complex and difficult. Unsurprisingly their sons, feeling the sense of alienation common to second-generation migrants sometimes feel little attachment to the national culture, preferring a strong, global brotherhood of faith that offers the comfort of certainty and the heroic narrative. And yet when the UK government repeatedly emphasises “British values” during anti-extremism initiatives, they find it hard to articulate those same values without the obvious one: Christianity. Instead, they limply define Britishness by tolerance and diversity, almost as if these things are a replacement faith.

… Which they sort of are. Diversity offers Europeans a form of redemption, something heavily influenced by the tragedy of 1914 to 1945 but also deeply linked to our guilty culture. When the body of three-year-old Syrian boy Aylan Kurdi, a Syrian washed up on a Turkish beach, it became the most powerful image of the decade. Yet in the Arab world, there was little sense that this was their fault. As Murray writes, “there was not anything there remotely like the introspection and self-accusation indulged in by Western politicians and media.” Indeed, the Gulf Arab states have taken virtually no Syrian refugees.

Europe has a guilt and savior complex. As a result, it seems to be replacing the atonement of the Savior’s death with its own.

Much of Europe’s behaviour since 1945 has been an attempt to exit history, a tired continent looking for peace and inner calm, sick of the wars of religion, ideology and race that have dogged it for centuries; in doing so it can also finally achieve its redemption. The tragedy is that, in doing so, it has almost certainly ensured that their posterity will not get that peace. Murray concludes that “[i]t is always possible that the tide of faith that began its long, withdrawing roar of retreat in the nineteenth century will come back in again.” One must hope. Together with their traditional faith, Europeans must recover their lost Burkean notion of society being a compact between the living, the dead and those yet unborn.

An Enemy Within Allied With The Seditious Left

The enemies of freedom never sleep. They seek to dominate and enslave those whom they can conquer and to eliminate those who resist. Unfortunately, this pattern has been an integral part of recorded history from ancient to modern.

Warfare will never stop. Idealists have dreams of a perfect world in which all of humanity will be peaceful, prosperous and loving. They are susceptible to the siren song of collectivism know as Marxism, Communism, and Progressivism— now also known as Globalism.

The drivers of these totalitarian forces have their own motivations, and there has been much discussion about the goal of the Elites and Globalists.

They have many tools with which to work. Weakening a culture in general via attacking its social institutions is the work of the enemy within. Alliance with a foreign entity is another.

A brief description of the “alliance” between the Left And Islam:

Which brings us to Islamism. Jihad has many forms and stages. At the end of this post is a series links, (provided for reader convenience) via The Clarion Project discussing Jihad.

There is also a link, via Dr. Bill Warner, for those who would like to become activists but may not know where to go.

Initial excerpts from various posts below discuss Jihad in Europe and the U.S.

Well, Erdogan is completely out of the closet:
Muslims RIOT after Amsterdam thwarts Turkish ministers’ plans to bring violent campaigns to Holland, Turkey threatens HARSH retaliation

Geert Wilders was right — about everything.

Muslims are rioting in Holland because the Dutch government barred Turkish political parties from campaigning in Holland. The action was taken in an effort to avoid violent campaign “demos” and import divisions into the Turkish Muslim community in Holland. Prime Minister Rutte’s preventative actions were for naught. Muslims rioted anyway. Turkish President Erdogan is looking to the large number of Turkish migrants living in Europe, especially in Germany and the Netherlands, to help clinch victory next month in a referendum that would give the would-be caliph sweeping new powers.

Turkey has told the Netherlands it will retaliate in the “harshest ways” after
Turkish ministers were barred from speaking in Rotterdam in a row over Ankara’s political campaigning among Turkish emigres.
Will Erdogan unleash another migrant invasion? continue

Will such threats be leveled against America if we refuse to take in our UN dictated “quota” of refugees?
Turkey Again Threatens to Flood Europe with Refugees Unless Turks Get Visa-Free Travel in Europe

Blackmail from a country that is no friend or ally of the U.S., Europe or the West in general. This amounts to an ultimatum: let in huge numbers of “refugees” who will enable jihad attacks and foster the Islamization of Europe, or allow Turks visa-free travel, which would enable jihad attacks and foster the Islamization of Europe. Erdogan’s agenda should be clear to everyone who is not an EU functionary. continue

In the name of Islam:
Another Axe on Islam’s Crazy Train

In a Dusseldorf train station, Fatmir, a Muslim refugee from Kosovo, went on the attack with an axe. His victims included several adults and a 13-year-old girl.

The authorities are blaming his attack on that familiar standby; drug and psychological problems…

But there appears to be a species of psychological problems unique to Muslims which causes them to head to the nearest train station with an axe or a knife.

A Muslim terrorist went off to the Carcassonne train station in France. He had a machete and a knife. His plan was to kill American and English tourists before going after soldiers and police officers. Even though he was on an Islamist watch list, the authorities blamed psychological problems…

There have been quite a few Muslims in Germany boarding the crazy train and trying to ride it all the way to the 72 virgins, dazzling white camels and musk mountains of Islamic paradise.

Jihadis are here and have been for a long time. Just one example below:
Iranian sleeper cells operating in U.S.

American intelligence agencies have growing evidence that the Iranian-backed Hezbollah terrorist group maintains a network of sleeper cells in the United States, according to a new report.

Though Hezbollah has not conducted a major attack on U.S. soil, the group could decide to strike key American sites should U.S.-Iran relations deteriorate substantially, according to
the Investigative Project on Terrorism.

“Preparations to combat Islamist terrorism broadly should strongly consider the nuanced and growing Hezbollah threat to U.S. national security,” the report concludes.

Until We Are Free: My Personal Fight for Human Rights in Iran is a biographical account of Shirin Ebadi, a 2003 recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize. A native Iranian Muslim and proud of it, Mrs. Shirin Ebadi documented the cruelty of the Islamic Republic of Iran. In her book, Ebadi provides moving descriptions and clear evidence of the repressive nature of the Iranian regime. What emerges is a clear picture of a Stalinist-like regime absent the Soviet Gulags. The regime’s Intelligence Ministry shuts down all criticism of the regime, by arrests, torture and murder. There is no free press in the Islamic Republic of Iran, no free speech, and every facet of free life is controlled and repressed by the Ayatollahs, through their praetorian guards — the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC), and the Basij Resistance Force, a voluntary paramilitary organization operating under the IRGC. Blanketed Truth: How Obama Has Hung Us Out to Dry

Brigitte Gabriel- ACT Prez

The elections are now in full swing in America. The American Left – Dems & MSM – are using every form of deception and character assassination against Donald Trump’s candidacy. The scale of Trump disinformation should remind us of the hell the Dems & MSM perpetrated against Sarah Palin in 2008. As much as the American Left (and sadly Paleocon Never Trumpers) hates Trump, they lie and pooh-pooh their candidate Crooked Hillary. The she-crook should be villainized in the press and be the recipient of at least several indictments for criminal behavior. All these Leftist attacks on Trump have effectively gotten the American voters to forget how Obama is importing tens of thousands of Muslim who have been taught from the cradle to the grave to hate the USA and Jews.

This Muslim hatred toward the West has devastated the populace of Europe even while the EU governing elites steeped in Multiculturalism make huge efforts to hide the rapes, hate-crimes and murders perpetrated by these Muslim refugees.

Brigitte Gabriel does her best to bring to remembrance the idiotic resettlement of Muslim refugees on American without proper vetting. Incidentally, as far as the election goes, Trump’s stand on Muslim resettlement is one issue that initially propelled Trump to popularity among aware Americans. And by the way, Crooked Hillary plans to continue the influx of tens of thousands of unvetted Muslims that Obama began.

Europe is a war-zone. Its open-door refugee policy has enabled over a million migrants to enter the continent last year, many from Syria, Afghanistan, and Iraq. Europe is amassing the consequences of this disastrous program, as trepidation and pillage intensify in direct result of their refugee populations. On our side President Obama aspires to bring in 10,000 additional refugees next year, and a Hillary Clinton presidency would guarantee 65,000 more right out of the gate.

ISIS already loftily announced its infiltration of refugee populations, so your town could be next on the list to harbor an influx of jihadists-in-training. If we continue in the footsteps of European leadership, our country will surely be second in line to becoming the next hot-spot for terror operations.

The process of resettling refugees is a strategic one, sneakily coordinated between the UN and the State Department. Essentially, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees chooses most of the incomers, and it is under the influence of a powerful Muslim group called the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. This means that U.S.-bound refugees are coming from countries with large numbers of people who hate us, such as Somalia, Afghanistan, Iraq, and Syria.

Once the refugees are selected, the State Department distributes them to nine major federal contractors: Church World Service, Ethiopian Community Development Council, Episcopal Migration Ministries, Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society, International Rescue Committee, U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants, Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service, United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, and the World Relief Corporation. Six of these contractors are religious charities, and often play on emotion to guilt their pious volunteers into advancing their agenda. They also receive compensation for each entrant they resettle, an incentive to further romanticize resettlement programs and aggrandize “compassionate refugees” to the degree of exaltation.

Once the refugees are brought in, they are dispersed to 190 cities and towns at the jurisdiction of 350 sub-contractors. After six months, these sub-contractors submit paperwork to import the relatives of the original refugee and the whole cycle repeats itself. This program has cost the U.S. Treasury upwards of one billion dollars, not including the welfare, healthcare, and other benefits that are provided to the immigrants upon arrival. To this day, over 100,000 Somalis and 100,000 Iraqis have been resettled, with 10,000 more in the pipeline, and taxpayers like you are footing the bill.

Ushering in thousands of migrants each year has begun to take its toll on American cities. Infiltrating these communities with hordes of third-world aliens has presented a multitude of threats that extend far beyond terrorism itself. Since a lot of migrant resettlement flies under the radar, many towns are ill prepared to assimilate the surprise guests. School systems don’t have the staff to accommodate non-English speaking students, and subsidized housing languishes beneath the weight of increasing demand.

Numbers also reflect that refugee children receive more welfare benefits than poverty-stricken American children. Not to mention, unemployment rates skyrocket, thus resulting in crippled economies and surging crime rates.

These crime rates do not exclude the climbing rape and harassment offenses, especially among female victims. Multiple occurrences in several states have been recorded: Massachusetts, Idaho, Virginia, Utah, California, North Dakota and Minnesota. All have one common theme: the perpetrators were of refugee status.

This is the pattern of disrespect Muslim immigrants display towards our women, children, and Western values.

Refugee cities have also become hubs for foreign illnesses that were once well controlled. Local health departments are experiencing an increase in communicable diseases and disorders from these populations. Cases of highly infectious bacterial diseases like active Tuberculosis have been mushrooming all across the states as recorded:

Colorado: 16 cases, Ohio: 11 cases, Vermont: 35 cases, Wisconsin: 117 cases, Florida: 11 cases, Idaho: 7 cases, Indiana: 4 cases, Kentucky: 9 cases, and North Dakota: 4 cases.

Remember, these cases will swell beyond a few isolated incidents. 22 percent of resettled refugees in the state of Minnesota alone test positive for latent Tuberculosis. It is clear this contagion is festering and uncontained.

Toxic refugee programs are more than a mere side effect, they are the virus itself. The government has concocted a lethal epidemic, and we are enabling its injection directly into America’s bloodstream.

This administration is trying to detract from the unpleasant realities of mass Muslim immigration, and the president and his cronies seem delighted to distort the facts and further propagate their embarrassing slander. It is by far the most sinister cover-up of our time. Thankfully, as a democracy, we are able to exercise our right to determine America’s fate.

ACT for America’s, the nation’s largest national security organization has launched the “Refugee Resettlement Working Group”, where concerned citizens can join and help protect our nation by addressing a dangerously broken U.S. refugee program. Pockets of refugees are being haphazardly tossed into our communities without adequate screening or assimilation efforts. We will reform this process, and dedicate ourselves to resolve these issues in our local communities. It all starts with you. Join us.

Nice Islamic Terrorist Attack Thoughts

BHO Jeupardy- Islam_c Terror_sm

John R. Houk

© July 15, 2016

France had another Islamic terrorist attack last night in Nice in which at least 84 people died. The death count might still rise because I understand many people are still listed in critical condition.

In saying this I found a couple of email notifications that have either a video editorial or information relating to the Nice attack. The first I think you may have some interest in is from Daniel Pipes. The Pipes video is about if Europe does not change its Multiculturalist ways the continent will be so Islamized that the phrase “Eurabia” will be closer to reality than a scar tactic theory coined by Counterjihad writers. Pipes goes on to predict that European voters will eventually reject the Multiculturalist paradigm of the EU elites and begin voting for nationalistic and/or anti-immigration political parties. He cites the recent close election in Austria. I could cite the recent Brexit decision by UK voters. Daniel Pipes does have a warning about the political swing of European voters and I’ll let listen to the video hear that warning.

The second email notification is from The Counter Jihad Report looking at the Nice attack through the lens of Former Special Forces Master Sergeant Jim Hanson who is the Executive Vice President for the Center for Security Policy (CSP). Hanson believes there should be less attention to beefing preventative security and more efforts in destroying the Caliphate ideology of various Islamic terrorist organizations such as ISIS, al Qaeda, Boko Haram and the like.

For me the most interesting parts of the post are two videos. The first video is a little over an hour of the Fox & Friends early show which includes the thoughts of Jim Hanson. The video shows how horrendous the Nice attack was. The second video is a three-minute or so video that explains the ideology of Islamic terrorists.

Cut Down the Black Flag

Former Special Forces Master Sergeant Jim Hanson, currently the Executive Vice President for the Center for Security Policy, has an answer to the problem of constant terror attacks.  First, though, he dismisses the strategy of attempting to prevent attacks by adding additional levels of security.  “Even in a police state, you couldn’t secure every gathering,” Hanson said, noting that this was just a simple delivery truck like any other.

“You have to look at the people who are conducting these terror attacks,” he told “FOX & Friends.”  A focus on methodology won’t work, as the truck attack plainly shows:  “It’s not guns, it’s not bombs, it’s not trucks,” but rather “the ideology of sharia and jihad that motivates them to kill.”

Hanson is the author of Cut Down the Black Flag:  A Strategy To Defeat the Islamic State.  Unsurprisingly, he believes that destroying the caliphate is an important part of the solution.  However, he argues that the caliphate is only a symptom — albeit a major one — of the real problem. “You start in the Islamic State.  You start with their caliphate, and you cut down their black flag there.  But… that’s not going to solve the problem, that treats a symptom.  The ideology of sharia, which calls for a holy war of jihad, is something we need to deal with.”

Citing a poll that sharia law enjoys large-scale support among Muslims worldwide, Hanson crossed into disputed territory.  CounterJihad has reported on this controversy before.

The central issue to empirical science is the ability of others repeating the experiment to replicate your findings.  If you replicate the same findings using the same methods, that’s telling.  If you replicate the same findings with both the same and different methods, that’s even more suggestive that you’re on to something.  Every poll of Muslim populations, regardless of its methodology, shows strong support for sharia.

Last summer, the Center for Security Policy commissioned a poll that found 51% support for sharia among American Muslims.  There were critics who pointed out that this poll was an online poll, and one that only surveyed those who opted in.  However, the Pew polling service found that half of American Muslims are recent immigrants, chiefly from countries in which their global survey of support for sharia tops 80%.  Three of the leading countries for Islamic immigration to the United States are Iraq, Pakistan, and Afghanistan.  The figures for those countries are 91%, 84%, and 99% respectively.

When you find the same thing no matter how you study the question, you’re probably finding something that’s really there.

Hanson’s solution of targeting sharia also enjoys strong support from the American people.  A recent poll conducted by a firm out of Atlanta found that more than seven in ten American voters think Muslim immigrants should be screened for the ideological belief in enforcing sharia law.  More than 80% of those who agreed say all immigrants ID’d as Sharia adherents should be barred from entering the United States.

The popularity of the solution does not mean that it will be enacted, at least not for the next few months.  A recent survey of US President Barack Obama’s calendar shows that he never met with former National Director of Intelligence LTG(R) Michael Flynn.  He and his administration’s top officials did meet with the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), which has been proven in Federal court to be linked to the Foreign Terrorist Organization Hamas.  In fact, CAIR has had hundreds of White House meetings.

Both of President Obama’s likely replacements have described the France attacks as acts of war, and both seem clearer-eyed than President Obama about the nature of the threat.  However, asked which one was more likely to take the threat seriously, Hanson gave the nod to Donald Trump.  Hillary Clinton would be too hamstrung by political correctness, he argued.  Only Trump was likely to move strongly against Islamic terror.

Europe: Suicide by Jihad

EU Multicultural Effect

Author Guy Millière writes about how European leaders are killing Europe by a suicidal policy of promoting Multicultural diversity as a new cultural era that is destroying a European cultural heritage that has a foundation of a couple thousand years of building blocks.

In essence Islamic culture is stuck in the days of its founder Mohammed and Europe (as all influenced Western culture) has moved from intolerant politics to tolerant representative government (for the most part). Islam is stuck in a 7th century mindset and Europe – for all its current plusses and minuses – is at a 21st century stage. As Islam is allowed to infect Europe with Islamic 7th century thinking, it will be inevitable that a return to an intolerant ruling political principle will return to Europe. If allowed to continue Europe will experience its second Dark Ages – all thanks to Islam.

As you read Millière’s essay, you should think of some similarities America is even now in the beginning stages of experiencing under the Multicultural guidance of President Barack Hussein Obama and the Democratic Party. In my God! A significant amount pro-Dem Party voters are seriously considering to have a bald-faced liar or an open prominent of socialism! AND there is actually a statistical possibility that American voters will select a liar or a socialist (or both for that matter) as the President of the United States of America ensuring a likelihood of a European-style cultural regression.

Europe: Suicide by Jihad

By Guy Millière

April 16, 2016 5:00 am

Gatestone Institute

  • In the last two decades, Belgium has become the hub of jihad in Europe. The district of Molenbeek in Brussels is now a foreign Islamist territory in the heart of Belgium. It is not, however, a lawless zone: sharia law has effectively replaced Belgian law.

  • One of the organizers of the Paris bombings, Salah Abdeslam, was able to live peacefully in Molenbeek for four months until police decided to arrest him. Belgian police knew exactly where he was, but did nothing until French authorities asked them to. After his arrest, he was treated as a petty criminal. Police did not ask him anything about the jihadist networks with which he worked. Officers who interrogated him were ordered to be gentle. The people who hid him were not indicted.

  • Europe’s leaders disseminated the idea that the West was guilty of oppressing Muslims. They therefore sowed the seeds of anti-Western resentment among Muslims in Europe.

  • Hoping to please followers of radical Islam and show them Europe could understand their “grievances,” they placed pressure on Israel. When Europeans were attacked, they did not understand why. They had done their best to please the Muslims. They had not even harassed the jihadists.

The March 22 jihadist attacks in Brussels were predictable. What is surprising is that they did not take place sooner. What is also surprising is that more people were not killed. It seems that the authors of the attacks had larger projects in mind; they wanted to attack a nuclear power plant. Others may succeed in doing just that.

In the last two decades, Belgium has become the hub of jihad in Europe. The district of Molenbeek in Brussels is now a foreign Islamist territory in the heart of Belgium. It is not, however, a lawless zone: sharia law has effectively replaced Belgian law. Almost all the women wear veils or burqas; those who do not take risks. Drug trafficking and radical mosques are everyplace. The police stay outside and intervene only in cases of extreme emergency, using military-like commando operations. Other areas of Belgium, such as Shaerbeek and Anderlecht have the same status as Molenbeek.

The Belgian authorities have allowed the situation to deteriorate. The situation in the country now is virtually equivalent to a surrender.

They seemed to hope that willful blindness and accepting the unacceptable would permit the country to be spared. It did not.

The attack on Belgium’s Jewish Museum on May 24, 2014 should have served as a warning. It did not. That “only” Jews were the target led the Belgian government to underestimate the threat. The jihadi who wanted to kill passengers on train from Amsterdam to Paris, on August 21, 2015, prepared his attack in Brussels. That three American heroes neutralized him before he could start shooting again led the Belgian government to think the danger was not large.

The jihadis who struck Paris on November 13, 2015 had also organized their attacks from Molenbeek, but the blood was not spilled in Belgium. Belgian authorities perhaps assumed that Belgium would be spared. They spoke of “imminent danger” for a day or so, but never increased security.

One of the organizers of the Paris bombings, Salah Abdeslam, Europe’s most wanted terrorist criminal, was able to live peacefully in Molenbeek for four months until police decided to arrest him. Belgian police knew exactly where he was, but did nothing until French authorities asked them to. After his arrest, he was treated as a petty criminal, not a jihadi terrorist. Police did not ask him anything concerning the jihadist networks with which he worked. Because he was hurt during police operations, officers who interrogated him were ordered to be gentle. The people who agreed to hide him for so long were not considered suspects and were not indicted.

The Brussels jihadist attacks took place two days later.

Despite the worst attacks on Belgium soil since World War II, Belgian authorities do not seem ready to change their behavior.

Abdelhamid Abaaoud (left) - Philippe Moureaux (right)

Abdelhamid Abaaoud (left), one of the planners of the November 2015 terrorist attacks in Paris, was — like many terrorists in Europe — from Molenbeek, Belgium. Philippe Moureaux (right) was mayor of Molenbeek for 20 years, thanks to his alliance with radical Islamists.

After the attacks, Belgian Prime Minister Charles Michel denounced “violent and cowardly acts” and stressed his “determination,” without saying what he intended to do. He did not speak of the necessity of changing the Belgian laws to make them more effective. He did not mention any enemy. He never used words such as “jihad” or “radical Islam.”

He behaved and talked as most of his European counterparts did. French Prime Minister Manuel Valls used more courageous words and said many times he is fighting “radical jihad” and “Islamism.” The French parliament passed laws allowing what is still impossible in Belgium: police searches at night. But France stands alone, and effectively the situation in France is no better than in Belgium. Islamist enclaves exists in many suburbs. Whole cities are controlled by thugs and radical imams: cities such as Roubaix, Trappes, Aubervilliers and Sevran in the northeast of Paris.

Islamist enclaves also exist in other European countries: Spain, the Netherlands, Germany, the United Kingdom and Sweden.

European leaders have been making choices. After World War II, they decided Europe would be a region of the world where war would be banished and all problems solved through diplomacy and appeasement. They gradually abandoned financing defense and security activities. Instead, they built welfare states. They thought that taking care of people from cradle to grave would suppress anger and conflicts. They denied the existence of totalitarian dangers and the necessity of showing strength. To this day, their statements indicate that European leaders think both the Berlin Wall and the Soviet empire fell thanks to the benevolence of Mikhail Gorbachev, not thanks to the determination of Ronald Reagan. To this day, they seem to think that Islam is essentially a religion of peace and that the jihadis belong to a tiny, marginal sect.

Decades ago, Europe’s leaders adopted a general policy of “openness” to the Islamic world in general, and the Arab world in particular. They decided to welcome migrants from the Muslim world by hundreds of thousands but without asking them to integrate. They made cultural relativism and multiculturalism their guiding principles. They acted as if Islam could mingle in the Western world harmoniously and without difficulty. Europe’s leaders disseminated the idea that the West was guilty of oppressing Muslims and had to pay for its sins. They therefore sowed the seeds of anti-Western resentment among Muslims in Europe.

When in the Muslim world jihadis started to kill, Europe’s leaders wanted to believe that the attacks would take place in the Muslim world only. They thought that by not interfering with what European jihadis were planning, they would not risk jihadi attacks on European soil.

When Jews were attacked, Europe’s leaders decided that the problem was not jihad, but Israel. They stressed the need not to “export Middle East conflict in Europe.” Hoping to please followers of radical Islam and show them Europe could understand their “grievances,” they placed increasing pressure on Israel. They also increased their financial and political support for the “Palestinian cause.”

When Europeans were attacked, they did not understand why. They had done their best to please the Muslims. They had not even harassed the jihadists. They still do not know how to react.

Many of them now say privately what they will never say in public: it is probably too late.

There are six to eight million Muslims in France, and more than thirty million in Western Europe. Hundreds of jihadis are trained and ready to act — anytime, anyplace. European intelligence services know that they want to make “dirty bombs.” Surveys show that tens of thousands of Muslims living in Europe approve of jihadi attacks in Europe. Millions of Muslims living in Europe keep silent, behave as if they see nothing and hear nothing, and protest only when they think they have to defend Islam.

European political leaders know that every decision they make may provoke reactions among the Muslims living in Europe. Muslim votes matter. Riots occur easily. In France, Belgium, other European countries, Islamists are present in the army and police forces. In the meantime, Islamist organizations recruit and Islamic lobbies gain ground.

European governments are now hostages. The European media are also hostages.

In most European countries, “Islamophobia” is considered a crime — and any criticism of Islam may be considered “Islamophobic.” People trying to warn Europe, such as the Dutch MP Geert Wilders, despite an apparently biased judge and forged documents against him, are now on trial.

Books on radical Islam are still published but surrounded by silence. Books praising the glory of Islam are in every bookstore. When Bat Ye’or’s Eurabia was published in Europe, she was denounced and received hundreds of death threats. Bruce Bawer’s While Europe Slept, published in the U.S., was not even available in Europe. Ten years later, the situation is worse.

Political movements expressing anger and concerns are rising. All are demonized by political power holders and the media. They have almost no chance of gaining more influence.

Populations are gnawed by fear, frustration and impotence. They are looking for answers, but cannot find them. A few hours after the attacks on Brussels, a man on Belgian television said that Europe is on the verge of suicide.

Europe looks like a dying civilization. European governments created a situation that can only lead to more attacks, more massacres, and maybe unspeakable disasters. Europe’s leaders continue to react with speeches and a few police operations.

If some European governments decided to restore their abolished borders, it could take years, and most European leaders would probably disagree with such a policy. Meanwhile, millions more “migrants” will enter Europe, and among them many more jihadis. In spite of the mayhem created in Germany by “migrants” who arrived in 2015, Angela Merkel said she would not change her decisions. No Western European government dared to disagree with her, except Viktor Orbán in Hungary, a lone voice of dissent.

In Brussels, as in Paris earlier, people gathered where the attacks took place. They brought candles and flowers to mourn the victims. They sang sentimental songs. They cried. There were no shouts of revolt against jihad. Members of the Belgian government called on the Belgian people to avoid reactions of violence, and declared that Muslims are the main victims of terrorism.

In Europe’s near future, more people will bring candles, flowers and songs to mourn victims. Another two or three jihadists will be arrested. But nothing will be done.

The Threat of Islam

Hear No, See No, Speak No -- Islam

I went to check out a blog billing itself as marthavanderpol. Now I am guessing the blog’s owner is Martha Vanderpol. I checked out her blog because I received notification she is following my NCCR blog on WordPress.

Upon checking out Martha’s blog out I read her 1/1/15 post. Now Martha identifies herself as British. I am an American. Martha’s post can be summarized as this: Muslims in Europe blatantly get away with hate-speech and murder in the name of the Leftist ideology multicultural diversity. AND YET when Europeans get upset with Muslims demanding Sharia exceptions to a nation’s rule of law or culture, expose the violent nature inherent in Islamic considered holy writings and/or demand respect for their Christian oriented faith vis-à-vis Islamic counterculture incursions; those Europeans are harangued as bigots and too often prosecuted for hate-speech.

Martha effectively lays out a description of what is going on in Europe to the favor of Muslims and to the detriment of Europeans. AND the reason this is important to an American reader is because America’s current Leftist-in-Chief has set the stage for the same European problem to explode exponentially in the USA.

The Threat of Islam

By Martha Vanderpol

January 1, 2015 8:29 pm

marthavanderpol

Happy New Year. Well, it is unless you’re in Nigeria, where three separate Islamist bombings have killed 7. We’re used to celebrations such as Christmas, New Year or commemorations for 9/11 being met with violence from Islamic terrorists now. It’s almost like wondering if it will snow on Christmas day – ‘Will there be a bombing?’ or rather ‘Where will the bombing be’ is uppermost in our minds as we go about our business in crowded shopping centres or transport hubs. In France, 55,000 police patrolled the streets in the last 24 hours to prevent a re-run of the Christmas Car-Jihad attacks.

All over the world, the message is – if you are not living in a Sharia state, you are fare game – whether you are a Muslim, Christian, Hindu, Buddhist, Atheist or whatever. Child or adult, man or woman – you are a potential target to people whose aims are simple – to spread fear and destruction among non-believers. The Western way of life is a target, modern education is ‘Haram’ and human rights are not enough a hurdle for people seized with such fervent hatred that only their way is possible. Any atrocity committed in the name of the Koran is acceptable.

The threat posed by Islam is that in any nation of the world where there are Muslims, there is a chance of their becoming radicalised and wanting to create a Sharia state. Our leaders keep stating that extremism is not based on ‘Real’ Islam – yet terrorists and preachers of hate state the very opposite – that to be a good Muslim the faithful must reject the Law of non-believers and create a Muslim land.

The Middle East Forum has a well-researched article on the presence of violence in the three Abrahamic faiths. “Famous Muslim scholar Ibn Khaldun (1332-1406) admired in the West for his “progressive” insights, … puts to rest the notion that jihad is defensive warfare:

In the Muslim community, the holy war [jihad] is a religious duty, because of the universalism of the Muslim mission and the obligation to convert everybody to Islam either by persuasion or by force … The other religious groups did not have a universal mission, and the holy war was not a religious duty for them, save only for purposes of defense … They are merely required to establish their religion among their own people. That is why the Israelites after Moses and Joshua remained unconcerned with royal authority [e.g., a caliphate]. Their only concern was to establish their religion [not spread it to the nations] … But Islam is under obligation to gain power over other nations.[10]

There is certainly violence both in the holy books of, and histories of, other religions. But it is clear that currently, we in the West are not at threat from extremist Buddhists, Catholics, Hindus or Yazidis. Islam has however been the source of now countless attacks upon our people and way of life in growing proportion since the 1980s. The list sadly grows daily with attacks on innocents in Africa and the Middle East making up the bulk in terms of number, but with massive attacks such as 9/11 and smaller attacks continuing in Europe and America too. Experience of Hamas terror in Israel has started a spate of ‘Car Jihad’ attacks in the West – where the use of bombs has been seen as too cumbersome and unpredictable, Islamists simply plow down pedestrians in the name of Jihad. Killing members of our armed forces is also a popular method for Jihadis wanting to aid the process of Islamification and terror in the West with the horrific murders of Fusilier Lee Rigby in London and of Corporal Nathan Cirillo in Ottawa, Canada.

The list of terror attacks upon people world-wide is huge and growing daily and the threat has been present for decades. Yet our governments do no more than try to prevent them through anti-radicalisation programmes and intelligence which is successful only until so-called ‘Lone Wolf’ attacks are introduced to the mix. The new Hamas-style car-Jihad and simple stabbings by Jihadis is a simple and chilling reminder that the threat is evolving, and not confined to organised groups such as Al-Quaeda any longer. Converts to Islam can be just as dangerous as individuals with long family histories of Islam. It is Islam which contains the seeds of extremist Ideology in the same way as Communism and Nazism did. Those doctrines have been defeated – but it was not by tolerance and acceptance that we defeated them but by fighting against their logic and armies.

I see the threat as similarly complex as that posed by Nazi ideology prior to 1938, where the ideas of racial purity and dominance were attractive to countless individuals and groups not just within Germany. The ideas of Islam are just as attractive to some, and just as much of a threat to us now. However it is precisely the memory of WWII and specifically of the Holocaust which I believe stops us from acting against the very real and present threat posed to our freedoms and way of life by Islamism.

There is a confused understanding of the current increase in Islamophobia as akin to racism, which might in turn lead to a second Holocaust, but with Muslims as the victims. Angela Merkel has begged Germans not to attend anti-Islamic protests, whilst 1 in 8 Germans say they would attend them. This is clearly a frightening sight – the image of thousands of Germans, flag aloft, shouting of hatred. It is reminiscent of Hitler’s burgeoning support in the 1930s.

Yet the discourse is completely wrong-headed.  It is not we who oppose Islam who are the potential Nazis – it is rather the growing anti-Western feeling within the ranks of Muslims world-wide which has all the hallmarks of Nazi ideology. Islam hates non-believers and any Law except for Islamic Law. It is we who are at risk of a Holocaust – all of us who are not ourselves radical Muslims. The rise of the ‘Islamic State’ of ISIS is one horrifying vision of what might happen – and the fact that hundreds of our Western bred Muslims are travelling to join them is another. The large anti-Israel protests in the West this Summer were led by some pretty nasty Islamists who added their Islamist flags to Palestinian ones. Hatred of Israel is far more loudly heard than hatred of Isis. And our government’s kow-tow to this confused thought in the mistaken belief that they need to be tolerant to prevent an outbreak of anti-Islamic persecution – when it is their own people who are being persecuted increasingly by Islam.

Meanwhile there has been growing anti-semitism in the West – with cemeteries desecrated and Swastikas appearing on Jewish property once again. There are numerous opponents of Israel who are not Muslim – but Jihadi flags have started to appear at anti-Israel protests, and Islamic fervour has been fanned by the problem of Israel and Palestine.

The evidence across the world from Boko Haram in Nigeria to Mumbai to Parliament Hill Ottawa is that it is Islamic ideology which is leading to atrocities – not Hebrew or Christian fervour. Israel is used as an excuse, and pornography has been used as an excuse for radicalisation – but there is no excuse – we in the West treat Muslims with decency and respect, and accord them their Human Rights just as with any other religious people. Yet they are using these freedoms and rights against us. There is evidence that radicalisation happens not just online, but also in Mosques. Radical preachers openly preach hate and violence. Yet our governments let it be. In the UK state schools have been turned into little enclaves of Islam, and entire neigbourhoods are effectively no-go areas to non-Muslims. Yet we let it go. Pakistani Muslims have been abusing under-age girls in the Midlands for years, yet the Police was too afraid of ‘cultural sensitivities’ to act upon numerous allegations and let it happen for years.

It is time that we understood – by acting against Islam and Islamification, against Sharia and FGM, against lack of integration and radicalisation – we are not the new Nazis – we are the Jews standing up for our very existence against the next Holocaust. The only purpose of Islam is to reduce the entire world to its regressive and oppressive doctrines. We see it in action in Iran where men are hung for being gay, where women are imprisoned for watching sports matches. We see burgeoning democracy destroyed in Iraq and Afghanistan – wherever there is Islam there is terror, fear and violence.

We must put aside our confused thinking on this threat – Islamic Ideology is the equivalent threat that Nazi Ideology posed – we wiped Nazism out but only by being firm and rooting it out within our home nation. Even German Jews were interred in the UK during the War because of the fear that they might have some (insane) affiliation to Nazism. Yet we know Islam is the root cause of terror in our midst and we do nothing. We fear harming Muslim Human Rights yet care not that Islamic Ideology has itself no similar respect for others’ Human Rights. We are blindly allowing Sharia courts inside the UK and Islamic Schools – 1 in 10 under 5s are now Muslim children. International Human Rights treaties give the right to Religious freedom – this, and the memory of the Holocaust is stopping our governments from putting a stop to creeping Sharia and growing radical Islam. Yet it is our own Religious and Basic Human Rights which are threatened by Islam.

But the debate is wrongly predicated. Islam is the ideology threatening the rest of us with Holocaust. It is the best of the West which is threatened by Sharia. Just because some Muslims are brown, we have gotten ourselves into a moral mess, believing anyone speaking out against the threat of Islam to be either racist or somehow akin to Nazi anti-semites.

But when we see the intolerant and violent way radical Islam wants to wipe out the West and other religions, we could rightly swap ‘Islamism’ for ‘Nazism’ – and if we did, would we be so tolerant? We are wrongly putting the West on the side of wrong – on the side of oppression and intolerance. Yet we in fact open our arms to other races and religions, and enshrine the rights of minorities within our laws. And it is precisely this tolerance and suspicion of our own capacity for oppression which is allowing Islamic oppression to pose the threat it does to the survival of all we hold dear – our civilisation, our freedom and our democracy. Islam is not like other religions in that it has a long history of Empire building and conquest which has not abated, in contrast to Christianity which has now mostly become secularised and divorced from the running of Nation States.

Islam inherently contains the seeds of extremism – and too many of its followers have become radicalised for us to continue to ignore the threat it poses. If we continue to allow Islam to progress unchecked in our world, it will consume us. We must have new expectations of Muslims in our lands – that they either live in accordance to our way of life, or that they leave our shores. Not all Germans were Nazis – yet Nazism certainly took hold and ruined World Peace. Islam can do the same thing – and we must begin to ask that Muslims swear allegiance to our flags and refrain from maintaining separate communities but rather integrate within our own.

Islam must either get its own house in order or face expulsion from Western nations – we cannot tolerate a religion which provokes so much terror and violence to flourish within our precious democracies. Freedom is fragile – as ISIS is showing all too clearly. Islam is a threat to our peace and our freedom – and we must face up to it sooner rather than later – before we are engulfed with fire the way India was in the Mughal days, and the way Iraq is being by ISIS. Russia is banning key Islamic texts the grounds that they incite hatred – http://www.meforum.org/4905/the-koran-and-eternal-war – perhaps we should start looking at the way the Koran incites hatred of other religions and proceed similarly to protect our peace and freedom.

It’s not true and 13 Years of Labour proved it. Things got worse for the poorest under Labour and the class divide bigger.

There’s a good generation of Conservatives able to lead the country – let’s hear no more of this false consciousness love of Labour – they know it themselves – they are not up to the job – and are jaundiced with having to stand up for the failings of their own doctrines.

Get in touch as I’d love to hear constructive comments please – I am on Twitter@MarthavanderPol and email marthavanderpol@gmail.com

I am interested in freedom of speech and breaking taboos especially as to how the UK deals with issues involving Islam, Education, the NHS, the Liberal Left, Elitism, Religion. I am an elitist conservative but I want to help the disadvantaged look after and improve themselves – a Compassionate Conservative if you will. I adored Michael Gove in Education because he wasn’t afraid of incensing the Teaching Unions and many parents who quite wrongly thought he was wrong to want to make the curriculum more robust so that British school leavers can better compete internationally.

I do not believe Labour’s carping that they are the party of the hard working person – in 13 years of power they only managed to entrench dependence on benefits and READ THE REST

21st Century Problem of Islam in the West

Counterjihad writers and pundits connected to Europe have been trying to get Europeans to wake-up for about a decade about the dangers that Islamic culture threatening Western culture as it has evolved leaning upon voters having the ability to influence politics.

Western culture began a slant toward a democratic-socialist paradigm emphasizing diverse multiculturalism in the days after WWII. Honestly the diverse multicultural paradigm probably made great sense to the post WWII Europe. After all, Adolf Hitler tried to impose a singular culture of a German Master race on a Europe that was quite multilingual. What better way to head of potential dominating European leader to yet once again make an effort to conquer all Europe than to promote multicultural acceptance among Europeans. I have no doubts that the evolving European Union is a part of a process to bind all Europeans regardless of their linguistic backgrounds to collectively join each other as a united political people by democratic consensus. For such a consensus to take root a common thread must take root among the multiple lingual groups of Europe. It appears to me that consensus solidified via a paradigm Europeans could agree upon. The collective paradigm that has won over European voters over the years was an egalitarian Socialist-Egalitarianism in which people became connected to generous governments that would take care of a European’s social needs such as medicine, employment, welfare, and so on. The thing about this paradigm is that someone had to pay for it.

America’s willingness to build Europe back after WWII as a geopolitical strategy to gain a partner to combat the Soviet-Communist agenda of a Marxist Empire ruled from Moscow. The American commitment to take on the initial bankrolling of strategic military alliances for European defense freed money up to be invested into the Socialist-Egalitarian top-down general welfare of European citizens. Then the European governments taxed their citizens to the hilt. Europeans did not care, that is how much the democratic socialist paradigm is still attractive to European voters.

Unfortunately for Europe there was a horrible side-affect to embracing multicultural diversity as a social egalitarian paradigm. Non-European immigrants began to flow into Europe even as many European governments have united under a limited confederated union that is the European Union. That union of nations has brought about economic advantages even in developing a single monetary unit that is known as Euros. For many European nations the Euro became the singular currency replacing traditional national currencies. The horrible side-affect was the flow of Islamic people from Africa and the Middle East that were and are intolerant of the European culture. Multicultural diversity acceptance enabled Muslims to hold on to many of their Islamic concepts which are diametrically opposed to concepts of Religious Freedom outside of Islam and opposed to concepts of Free Speech that promotes another religion or ideology that are deemed insulting to Islam.

Under the imperative of cultural acceptance to find a common ground was and is a non-starter among religious Muslims. Islamic writings considered holy do not say nice things about non-Muslims. That means secular-minded Europeans (most Europeans have abandoned the practice of their Christian religious heritage) will insult Muslims with lifestyles that are blatantly immoral in Islam. Americans are still Christian enough there are immoral practices that should be frowned upon; e.g. adultery, rape, theft, murder, fornication (sex without marriage) and more. The multicultural paradigm has infected American culture enough that immoral acts such as adultery, fornication, pornography, homosexual lifestyles and so on are not considered heinous anymore. In Islam these kinds of immoral practices are worthy of death.

Socialist-minded European elites decided to look the other way to the intolerance of Islam probably believing they were doing Muslim immigrants a multicultural favor by enabling a better economic life and freedom from dictatorships prevalent among Africa and the Middle East. Most Muslims in Europe have eschewed any form of assimilation into their host nations. Here we are in the 21st century and immigrants are still flowing into Europe coupled now with earlier Muslim immigrants producing second and third generation religious Muslims that adhere to the intolerant nature of Islam.

Only now some Europeans are waking up that Islam and European culture are not compatible. The real risk in the minds of European elites is that pre-WWII Europeans began to blame a culture they deemed foreign to their Euro-Christian heritage. As a horrible economic depression began to hit Europe (like it did in America), those minority of Europeans began to look for a scapegoat to their ill fortunes being experienced during European depression. Incidentally the parts of Europe most affected to by depression were the losers of WWI who were punished to the hilt with war reparations. The principle nation of that punishment was Germany. Germans became desperate economically. People like Adolf Hitler became popular among Germans because the Jew-hatred spouted by Nazis seemed to offer an explanation to many for the economic pain people were feeling. Hitler’s antisemitism really infected Germany but it also had an effect on Europeans and Americans. If you got to look for a scapegoat the Jews always fit the bill historically in Europe and by extension even to the relatively new American republic. You might be surprised to know that one of change-makers in American lifestyle in Henry Ford was a huge antisemite and at least showed an early affection for Nazism at least until it became apparent Hitler’s bottom line would affect the Ford Motor Company’s bottom line.

European elites are facing a similar dilemma with Muslims in Europe. As Europeans begin to wake-up about Islamic intolerance Europeans are beginning to get fed up with Muslims are establishing Muslim-Only zones in many major European cities and are committing criminal acts often associated with Islamic intolerance.

The dilemma for European elites is that they are covering-up Muslim crimes hoping that anti-Muslim retribution will not emerge in a violent way that Jews experienced in Pre-WWII Europe. The problem that European elites should regard is Jewish citizens in the various European nations before WWI were pretty much assimilated into European culture. European Jews were more secular than they were observant. That is not the case for Muslims in Europe today. The intolerance of Islamic theo-political religion has led to a refusal of assimilation by the majority of Muslims. For pre-WWII European Jews assimilation was the norm and strict religious observance was a small minority. AND the observant religious Jews had absolutely NO desire to force non-Jews to convert to Judaism in pre-WWII or even now for that matter. The imperative of Islam according to their holy writings and religious commentators has been to offer the non-Muslim peaceful conversion, absolute submission to Islamic Supremacy or face death for insulting Islam.

TODAY one can see that is a problem in Europe. If American Dem Party Leftists continue to promote European concepts of multicultural diversity, the same problem will be here among us. Muslim conclaves are already emerging in the USA in which Christians utilizing their Constitutional right of Religious Freedom and Free Speech to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ are experiencing violence or even jail (Dearborn, MI).

Hopefully American voters will wake-up to the Islamic incompatibility to America’s Constitution and take a stand against giving Muslims special rights forcing Americans to give up their First Amendment. The problem Americans already face is the Religious Freedom is such a passionate issue in America that most take the stand that, “We disagree with Islam but those folks have the Constitutional right to freely practice their faith.”

Currently America is not facing a multicultural problem as in Europe. America’s future problem with Islam will be the dilemma between Religious Freedom being constitutionally sacrosanct and observant Islam being systemically anti-U.S. Constitution. How do we address that dilemma?

Kern’s title is a bit provocative: ‘Gang Raping, “I Love Al-Qaeda” and Who Is Advancing Islam?’ The “Gang Raping” and “I love Al-Qaeda” are actually examples of widespread violence in Europe that is directly related to Islam.]

The American Embassy in Prague is financing a new project aimed at promoting Islam in public elementary and secondary schools across the Czech Republic.

The new law removes the requirement that there must be a special reason to sue for defamation or insult. Swedish thought police will be able to prosecute anyone who expresses an opinion about Muslim immigration and much else if that opinion is deemed to be defamation or slander. The Swedish government is also spending 60 million krona ($9 million) to boost voter turnout in Muslim neighborhoods.

“The influx of immigrants is reaching biblical proportions. Italy is fighting a losing battle.” — Admiral Giuseppe De Giorgi, Head of the Italian Navy

In Austria, police say they believe that two teenage girls who vanished from their homes in the capital of Vienna on April 10 may be in Turkey, and that whoever helped them get there is using them as pin-up girls to boost recruitment efforts for the “holy war” in Syria.

Friends of Samra Kesinovic, 16, and Sabina Selimovic, 15, said the girls had become radicalized after attending a local mosque run by a Salafist preacher, Ebu Tejma, and learning about the duty of every Muslim to participate in jihad. The girls were expelled from school after inscribing “I Love Al-Qaeda” on tables and walls.

But the girls’ parents—originally Bosnian refugees who settled in Austria after the ethnic conflicts of the 1990s—say that messages and photographs posted on social media networks which claim that the girls are on the front line and fighting with their new husbands are fake.

In a possible break in the case, Austrian police say they traced a phone call Samra made to her sister in late April to a landline based in Turkey. The search for the girls continues.

At least 100 Austrian citizens or residents have participated in the fighting in Syria, according to Austrian media. Approximately 40 of them are currently on the front lines, 44 have already returned to Austria and 19 have been killed in action.

Also in April, the most senior leader of the Muslim Brotherhood living in exile in Britain, Ibrahim Munir, denied claims that the group was moving its international headquarters from London to the Austrian city of Graz. The Daily Mail, a British newspaper, reported on April 12 that the Muslim Brotherhood was preparing to move its headquarters to Austria in an “apparent attempt to avoid an inquiry into its activities set up by the Prime Minister.”

The group was expelled from Egypt after a counter-revolution there in July 2013, and recently opened a new headquarters above a kebab shop in London. On April 1, British Prime Minister David Cameron announced an investigation of the Muslim Brotherhood’s activities in Britain.

A full summary of Islam in Britain during the month of April can be found here.

In the Czech Republic, police on April 25 raided the headquarters of Prague’s Islamic Foundation in the center of the capital and a mosque on the outskirts of the city. Police arrested 20 people, including the Czech translator and publisher of a book about Islamic theology that security officials said promotes hate speech and incites hatred toward Jews.

The book—”The Fundamentals of Tawheed” [Islamic monotheism] by Bilal Philips, a Jamaican-born, Qatar-based Muslim extremist who has been banned from entering Britain and Germany—was being used, police said, to spread Salafist ideology in the Czech Republic.

Also in April, it emerged that the American embassy in Prague is financing a new project aimed at promoting Islam in public elementary and secondary schools across the Czech Republic.

In Denmark, police in Copenhagen on April 25 said the man they believe tried to assassinate the Danish journalist Lars Hedegaard in February 2013 was arrested in Istanbul’s Atatürk airport as he tried to enter Turkey on a false passport. The man, identified only by the initials B.H., is awaiting extradition—a process that could take three months—in a high-security prison in the city’s Maltepe district.

Danish police say the suspect is a 26-year-old Danish citizen of Lebanese—possibly Palestinian—origin. At the time of his arrest, he was in possession of a fake passport. He left Denmark on the same day of the assassination attempt, police said, and has been traveling between Syria, Lebanon and Turkey ever since.

In Finland, the Parliament’s Constitutional Law Committee on April 4 ruled that the long-standing tradition of singing a summer hymn known as the “Suvivirsi” at end-of-school ceremonies can continue. In March, Deputy Chancellor of Justice Mikko Puumalainen had called on the Board of Education to look into the matter because the song has Christian overtones and could be offensive to the country’s growing Muslim community.

“It’s curious that the minority can so strongly influence the activities of the majority,” said Education Chancellor Pekka Iivonen. “Laws concerning religious freedom work both ways: in addition to having the right not practice religion, we also have the right to practice religion in Finland, where the majority of people belong to the Lutheran church.”

In France, Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve on April 23 presented a new anti-radicalization plan aimed at preventing French citizens or residents from waging jihad in Syria and other Muslim conflict zones. The strategy includes more than 20 measures aimed not only at preventing French citizens from joining the war in Syria, but also at combatting the radicalization of young French Muslims during the earliest stages of indoctrination.

On April 22, Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius told RTL Radio that nearly 500 French citizens or residents are believed to have joined the fighting in Syria. “This is a very big subject,” Fabius said. “Now more and more young people are going [to Syria] … Our plan is to tackle this upstream [at the source] and all the way downstream. We will identify young people caught on this tragic path. We will monitor this online, and then we must stop them from crossing the Syrian border, and monitor their return and reintegration.”

Some believe the plan is a political ploy by French President François Hollande aimed at blunting the rising popularity of the anti-immigration National Front party, which captured a record number of city council seats and mayorships in local elections in March.

National Front party leader Marine Le Pen told RTL Radio that the government’s plan to fight French jihadists is cosmetic. “It does not attack the root of the problem—the speech in some mosques that are genuine calls to jihad,” she said. “Nor does the plan attack recruiters and funding from foreign countries known to support terrorist fundamentalism, such as Qatar.”

Le Pen also said it might be necessary to create a new law on mercenaries that would 1) prohibit those who have French nationality from engaging in fighting abroad; and 2) revoke French nationality from individuals convicted of participating in this type of fighting.

A confidential intelligence document leaked to the French newspaper Le Figaro says a form of Muslim ghettoization is gaining ground within the French school system. The report says that Muslim students are effectively establishing an Islamic parallel society completely cut off from non-Muslim students.

The 15-page document, dated November 28, 2013, includes 70 examples—headscarves in school playgrounds, halal meals in cafeterias, chronic absenteeism during Muslim religious festivals, clandestine prayers in gyms or hallways—of the Islamizing trend in schools throughout France.

The document says that Muslims are engaged in a “war of attrition” aimed at “destabilizing the teaching staff.” It adds that Muslim fundamentalists are circumventing the law that bans religious symbols in schools, and that self-proclaimed “young guardians of orthodoxy” in many schools are exerting pressure on Muslim girls.

“During the Muslim holidays, especially during the Eid-el-Kebir [Eid el-Adha], classes are abandoned by students,” with absenteeism bordering 90% in certain parts of Nîmes and Toulouse. A high school principal in a northern district of Marseille said that some of his pupils pray with such zeal that their foreheads bear bruises.

In Évry, a commune in the southern suburbs of Paris, police arrested four Muslim boys (three Turkish brothers between the ages of 13 and 15, and one 17-year-old from Morocco) for gang raping an 18-year-old woman as she left the main train station. During police questioning, the minors said they attacked the woman simply because she was French and “the French are all sons of whores.”

The boys were jailed for rape and—unusually in France—reverse racism. Three of the minors have previously been jailed for rape and robbery, but only six months ago they were released early as part of a government plan to go easy on minors.

One French commentator asks: “Where did their hatred come from? The hatred that drove them to engage in unspeakable acts on a young girl, barely older than themselves, who symbolized their host country? What will I report? Unemployment? Poverty? Inequality?”

In Paris, the 31st congress of the Union of Islamic Organizations in France (UOIF) was turned into a platform for Muslim anti-Semitism when keynote speaker Hani Ramadan—a prominent Muslim leader from Geneva—blamed Jews and Zionism for a litany of maladies in France, Iraq, Rwanda, Syria and Central Africa. “All the evil in the world originates from the Jews who have only one thing in mind, realizing the dream of Greater Israel,” the French daily Le Figaro quoted him as saying.

Ramadan said the media and politics are controlled by Zionists. “In the United States, no one can be elected president without having to kowtow to AIPAC,” he said. “It is the same in France, where no one can be elected without the approval of the CRIF [an umbrella group of French Jewish organizations], which in fact leads in the shadows. Against these international schemes of the Zionist power there is only one rampart: Islam.”

Hani Ramadan is the director of the Islamic Center of Geneva and is a brother of Tariq Ramadan, a Swiss professor banned from entering the United States. The UOIF congress, held from April 18-21 this year, is one of France’s largest and most prominent Islamic events.

In Germany, the interior ministry on April 8 said it had outlawed the charity “Waisenkinderprojekt Libanon” [Orphan Project Lebanon] for allegedly raising millions of euros for Hezbollah. The group, based in the city of Essen, collected €3.3 million ($4.6 million) in donations between 2007 and 2013 for the Lebanese Shahid [Martyrs] Foundation, an “integral” part of Hezbollah. The interior ministry said the funds were used to recruit fighters “to combat Israel, also with terrorist measures” and to compensate the families of suicide bombers.

Also in April, it was reported that the 39-year-old German rapper Deso Dogg (born Denis Cuspert), operating under the alias “Abu Talha Al-Almani” [Abu Talha the German], was killed on April 20 as a result of infighting among jihadi groups battling in Syria.

Deso Dogg—the son of a Ghanaian father and German mother, and raised by an American stepfather—abandoned his rapping career and converted to hardline Salafism in 2010 after nearly being killed in a car crash. Soon after his conversion, he began recording nasheeds [traditional Islamic devotional music] in German, praising Osama Bin Laden and Taliban leader Mullah Omar. Deso Dogg’s nasheeds inspired Arid Uka, an Albanian-German Islamist, who killed two U.S. airmen and seriously wounded two others at the Frankfurt airport in March 2011.

After Deso Dogg became a cult figure for Salafists in Europe, German counter-terrorism authorities, concerned about his potential to serve as a recruitment tool for radical Islamic groups, began monitoring his activities.

Despite being monitored, Deso Dogg crossed into Syria undetected in 2013, and gave his oath of allegiance to the jihadist group the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant [ISIS] in early 2014. According to many media sources, he was reportedly killed by a rival al-Nusra suicide bomber in eastern Syria. Reports of his death, however, have not been independently confirmed, and ISIS fighters interviewed by the German newspaper Die Welt have denied he is dead.

A new survey published on April 29 shows that only half of the German population believes that Islam is a part of German culture and society. The Integration Barometer 2014, produced by the Expert Council of German Foundations on Integration and Migration, found that 44% of those with an immigrant background and 53% without a migration background rejected the statement: “Islam is part of Germany.” About half of the respondents, both with and without a migration background, nevertheless advocated religious instruction in schools. About two-thirds believe Islamic theology should be offered at universities.

The situation is different when it comes to making exceptions for individual Muslims, such as exemptions from sports or swimming lessons because of religious sensitivities. A clear majority, 76% of those without a migration background, viewed such special privileges in a negative light. In addition, 63% of those without a migration background rejected the right of Muslim teachers to wear headscarves in class. “The majority of respondents obviously believe that equality and religious neutrality are more important than the granting of special treatment on religious grounds,” the study concludes.

On April 22, the Bavarian Administrative Court in Munich ruled that an 18-year-old Muslim student does not have the constitutional right to wear a face-covering niqab in class at her state-run vocational college. The court said that her school had done nothing illegal in asking her to remove the veil, and that this prohibition did not infringe on her freedom of religious worship.

The court also said that the veil acted as a barrier for non-verbal communication. “Open communication during teaching is based not only on the spoken word, but also on non-verbal elements such as facial expressions, gestures and other body language,” the court said.

Meanwhile, a German-Turkish candidate for city council elections in the town of Neuss near Düsseldorf provoked the ire of many Germans when he added the Islamic crescent-moon to the logo of his party, the center-right Christian Democratic Union. The Islamized logo appeared on promotional campaign products such as pens, stickers and 4,000 bags.

Irritated CDU officials ordered Yasar Calik, 37, to cease and desist. He responded by accusing them of intolerance. Calik said many Turks are skeptical of the CDU and that he wants Muslims to know they can vote for the party, which some have dubbed the “Islamic Democratic Union.”

In Greece, controversial plans to build a taxpayer-funded mega-mosque in Athens have been delayed once again after a group of concerned citizens filed an appeal to block the €950,000 ($1.3 million) project. The government had agreed in November 2013 to build a mosque at the site of a former naval base in Votanikos, near central Athens.

Aris Spiliotopoulos, a candidate for the mayor of Athens for the center-right New Democracy party, called for a referendum on the construction of the mosque. In an April 16 interview with Skai TV, Spiliotopoulos, a former education and tourism minister, criticized plans to build a Muslim place of worship in the heart of Athens, saying that the capital does not need “another pole for illegal immigration” or “third-world tents under the sacred rock of the Acropolis.” Votanikos is located 3km from the Acropolis. Spiliotopoulos said: “I don’t want the mosque next to the Parthenon.”

The Friendship, Equality and Peace Party, purportedly representing Greek Muslims in region of Thrace, described Spiliotopoulos’ referendum proposals as an “insult to the hundreds of thousands of Muslims living in Athens, the only capital in the European Union without a mosque.” The group added:

“The construction of a mosque has been delayed for strange reasons for many years, which has opened a deep wound in terms of freedom of religion. Now, proposing a referendum for a place of worship has created great disappointment. We expect politicians to leave such a mentality, to avoid putting our country Greece in a difficult position within the international arena.”

Meanwhile, Muslim vandals are being blamed for a spate of attacks against Greek Orthodox churches on the island of Crete. Anti-Christian slogans written in Arabic were discovered on the walls of at least three churches.

In Italy, Home Secretary Angelino Alfano on April 4 warned that his country is facing a catastrophic wave of immigration from the Muslim world. “According to our information between 300,000 and 600,000 people are on the other side of the Mediterranean on the North African coastline, waiting to cross sooner or later,” he said at a conference on immigration in Palermo, Sicily.

In the first three months of 2014, more than 11,000 immigrants have landed in Italy, a seven-fold increase on 2013, with the high season for crossings about to begin as the weather improves. “The landings are non-stop and the emergency is increasingly glaring,” Alfano said.

On April 4, an official statement from the Italian Ministry of Health declared “the activation of appropriate measures of surveillance at all international access points to Italy” due to fears that at least 40 immigrants from Africa were infected with the Ebola virus.

The head of the Italian Navy, Admiral Giuseppe De Giorgi, said the influx of migrants is reaching “biblical proportions” and that “Italy is fighting a losing battle.”

Justice Minister Andrea Orlando on April 1 signed an agreement with his Moroccan counterpart to have Moroccan convicts sent back home. The move is aimed at tackling chronic overcrowding in Italian prisons. The agreement will affect Moroccans who have been convicted in Italy and sentenced to one or more years in prison, according to a statement released by the Justice Ministry. The new plan will allow convicts to serve out the rest of their sentences in Morocco while receiving “social reintegration” there, where “they have social and family ties.” There are some 4,000 Moroccan prisoners in Italian prisons.

In the Netherlands, Interior Minister Ronald Plasterk and Rob Bertholee, the head of the Dutch intelligence agency AIVD, on April 23 presented the AIVD annual report for 2013. The report says that more than 100 Dutch citizens or residents travelled to Syria in 2013 with the intention of taking part in jihadist activities there.

The vast majority of Dutch jihadists joined one of two groups: the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIS) or Jabhat al-Nusra (JaN). A relatively small proportion of jihadists (just over 20) returned home during the course of the year. The AIVD believes that at least ten men from the Netherlands were killed in Syria in 2013, including two Dutch jihadists who took their own lives in suicide attacks.

The report warns:

“The participation of foreign jihadists in the conflict in Syria has contributed to its escalation. Their experiences there, and the contacts they establish with international networks, mean that they may well pose a threat to national security if and when they return home. For the jihadist groups active in Syria, the presence of European fighters represents an excellent opportunity to recruit individuals familiar with our region to commit acts of terrorism here. In addition, returnees could exploit their status as veterans to radicalize others in the Netherlands.

“As well as potentially posing a direct threat, returnees from Syria might also have a radicalizing and mobilizing effect upon fellow Muslims. In the Netherlands, they could act as the catalyst pushing some young people already attracted by a radical strand of Islam into militant activism. That could strengthen local radical groups and spread their message to a wider audience.”

Meanwhile, police said they had arrested a 35-year-old Dutch-Turkish national named Aydin Coban in the case of a Canadian teenager who was blackmailed after exposing herself in front of a webcam. The 15-year-old girl, Amanda Todd, later committed suicide after detailing her harassment on a YouTube video watched by millions around the world. Dutch prosecutors said the man is suspected of blackmailing girls in Britain, the Netherlands and the United States. Canadian police said they would seek extradition.

The number of people requesting asylum in the Netherlands rose by more than 4,000 in 2013 to 17,190, the immigration service said on April 14. Somalia topped the list with just over 3,000 requests, followed by Syria (2,670) and Iraq (1,090).

In Norway, the education ministry approved a controversial plan to launch the country’s first Muslim-only primary school in Oslo. The school will be run by the Association of Muslim Mothers, which wants to teach its pupils Arabic and Islamic values as well as the standard subjects on the curriculum. A standard course on Religion, Philosophy and Ethics would be replaced by Islam, Religion and Philosophy.

The school aims to have 200 students, and is expected to look for premises in the east side of Oslo, home to many immigrants. Both Norway’s opposition Labour Party and the anti-immigrant Progress Party, which is part of the government coalition, have voiced opposition to the plan.

On April 28, envoys from Saudi Arabia and other Muslim countries accused the Norwegian government of doing too little to protect its Muslim minority, and called for all criticism of Islam to be made illegal. The accusations against Norway were made in Geneva during a session of the United Nations Universal Periodic Review, which occurs every four years. Norwegian Foreign Minister Børge Brende told Norway’s NTB newswire: “It is a paradox that countries which do not support fundamental human rights have influence on the council, but that is the United Nations.”

In Spain, a large Muslim umbrella group called the Union of Islamic Communities in Spain [UCIDE] sent letters to education officials in all of the country’s 17 regions asking for precise data on the number of students in primary and secondary public schools who have applied for Islamic religious training.

UCIDE is lobbying the Spanish government to expand the teaching of Islam in the public school system, and is said to be compiling the data to back up its claim that there are not enough Islam teachers to keep up with the growing demand.

On April 30, police in Almería, a port city in southern Spain, arrested a French-Algerian jihadist who was returning to Europe from combat in Syria. Abdelmalek Tanem, 25, was a member of the al-Qaeda-linked group, the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant [ISIS], from October 2013 to January 2014, according to a statement issued by the Spanish Interior Ministry.

“During this period, Tanem is believed to have carried out the work of ‘combatant’ and as a ‘facilitator’ on the Turkish-Syrian border in order to make it possible for other European citizens to be integrated into this jihadist group,” the statement says. Tanem is the second returning jihadist who has been arrested by Spanish police; the first was Mohamed Sadik Abdeluahid in Ceuta, in January.

On April 29, the Spanish government announced that it would allocate €2.1 million ($2.9 million) to try to stem illegal border crossings in Ceuta and Melilla, two Spanish exclaves in North Africa. More than 1,000 African migrants attempted to reach Spain in April during nearly daily attempts to storm and scale the six-meter (20-foot) triple-layer fence separating Melilla from Morocco.

In Sweden, the parliament on April 10 approved a new law that will make it easier for public prosecutors to take criminal action against Swedes who criticize immigrants or government officials online. The new law removes the requirement that there must be a special reason to prosecute for defamation or insult. Critics say the new law, which takes effect on January 1, 2015, is an assault on the exercise of free speech: Swedish thought police will be able to prosecute anyone who expresses an opinion about Muslim immigration and much else if that opinion is deemed to be defamation or slander.

The measure has been pushed by Swedish parliamentarian Andreas Norlén, who in an unchallenged debate on the issue in parliament, said: “I do not think it takes very many prosecutions before a signal is transmitted in the community that the Internet is not a lawless country: the sheriff is back in town.”

The Swedish government is also spending 60 million krona ($9 million) to boost voter turnout in Muslim neighborhoods—such as the Rinkeby district in Stockholm, the Rosengård district in Malmö, and the Rymdtorget and Bergsjön districts in Gothenburg—ahead of European elections in May.

Separately, the government was forced to drop a controversial plan to lower the tax rates in Muslim neighborhoods after the European Commission said that allowing immigrants to pay lower taxes than Swedes would violate EU rules on state aid.

According to the latest data from Eurostat, Sweden is the EU country that receives the most asylum seekers from developing countries relative to their population. Most of the asylum seekers in 2013 were from Afghanistan, Kosovo, Pakistan and Syria.

At the same time, more than 50,000 native Swedes fled the country in 2013, according to new data from Statistics Sweden (SCB). This is the highest figure since the peak years of emigration to North America in the 1880s. By contrast, immigration from the developing world to Sweden reached its highest level ever in 2013, with nearly 115,800 immigrants, according to the SCB.

On April 5, it emerged that a Swedish national of Somali origin was arrested in Kenya on suspicion of trying to recruit young men for the Islamic terrorist group, Al-Shabaab. Some 30 Swedish nationals have traveled to Somalia to join Islamic militant groups, according to the Swedish intelligence agency Säpo.

In Switzerland, the University of Fribourg will host the country’s first training center for imams. The center will provide courses for imams on Swiss culture and society, courses for social workers and health professionals on accommodating the Muslim community and, ultimately, a training program for new imams. The objective is to produce locally-trained imams to join the ranks of the country’s 150 imams, all of whom were schooled abroad.

The original idea for the project came from a national research program called “Religious Groups, State and Society,” which found that most of the imams and teachers of Islam did not speak Swiss national languages and did not know Swiss society, culture and laws.
