California: Muslims Attack Counter Jihad Coalition, Law Enforcement Caves to Muslims

On July 19, 2017 I cross posted the Clarion Project notifying readers the Counter Jihad Coalition (CJC) was shut down by Facebook without explanation. As of today, 8/7/17, Facebook still has not taken CJC out of its jail – CJC Facebook.

Just as a side irony, there is a Facebook community with a similar name CounterJihad.com. Wisely, like CJC, this Facebook group has a website as well by the same name – CounterJihad.com. CJC Facebook was undoubtedly shut down by a Muslim complaint trying to prevent the Truth about Islam. I advise massive support for CounterJihad.com Facebook to hopefully counter dhimmitude censorship.

NOW I am finding out that CJC live community efforts to enlighten Americans about the truth of Islam in Cerritos, CA has been shut down because a couple of loud-mouth Muslims caused a public disruption at the mall of the same name as the city.

Rather than escorting a couple of noisy Muslims off the mall premises, Cerritos Mall officials forced CJC to close their both inside the mall.

Here’s the story at Jihad Watch.

California: Muslims Attack Counter Jihad Coalition, Law Enforcement Caves to Muslims

By STEVE AMUNDSON

AUGUST 6, 2017 6:31 PM

Jihad Watch

At first I thought that the two Muslims shouting at us would leave, as they have done in the past. I was wrong; it played out differently on Saturday. They were there to stay with their loud, obnoxious voices until they could get us shut down. The crowd started growing due to the commotion. Soon it numbered in the hundreds.

The cause of all of this was that the Counter Jihad Coalition (CJC) was out on a public outreach in the Cerritos Mall in Cerritos, California, educating the public on the truth of Islam. The CJC was formed several years ago to get the truth into the hands of people, since most of the mainstream media paints Islam as the religion of peace.

We have developed over 30 brochures on different aspects of Islam. All are factual and true, not our opinions. They are all based on the doctrines of Islam as set out in the Quran and the Sunnah. On a typical day, we pass out 1,500 or more of these brochures to people, who for the most part are thankful for what we are doing.

We saw an increase in Muslim pushback right after the Islamic State (ISIS) made the news, and then a huge increase in their aggressiveness after President Trump was elected. They will go to great lengths to keep the people from knowing the violence, oppression and brutality that are inherent in what they believe. And now more than ever, they are on the warpath to shut down these truths.

This past Saturday, at this venue where we have been going to for a year, Muslim anger came to a head. I called security when things started to get unruly. Soon officers from mall security, along with several Los Angeles County Sheriff Deputies, arrived to try and restore calm and sort things out.

To show you how upside down our society is, the mall manager said to me that he was going to have to shut us down early. What? Everything had been going along smoothly until the two Muslims started yelling, shouting at us and creating the hostile environment. They knew if they disturbed and disrupted, that they would win. They shouted at me that they would be there every day looking for us, and would do whatever they had to do to shut us down.

It was only a few weeks ago that the Sharia police on Facebook banned our Counter Jihad Coalition Facebook site, and took it down. To this day, I have not received an explanation from them for their action. Facebook is simply Sharia-compliant. Not only us, but many other counter-jihad groups have recently been shut down on Facebook. Our freedoms are slowly being taken away from us by the leftists who are in control of the means of communication.

In a similar vein, do you think the Sheriff Deputies escorted the obnoxious, hateful, foul-mouthed Muslims out of the mall? Not a chance! When I asked one of the Deputies if they were going to escort out the unruly Muslims, their response to me was they were waiting to hear from the mall management and what they wanted to do. So much for our law enforcement officials protecting law-abiding citizens. Every time we want to have a public outreach at this mall, we turn in an application and wait until it is approved.

After the Deputies failed to escort out the Muslims who were causing the disruption, the mall manager came over to me and said, “We are going to have to shut you down early today.” When I suggested they usher out the unruly Muslims instead, I was told that they have a right to be there and said they would not leave until we left. Did we not have a right to be there? Our dhimmi law enforcement, mall security and mall management seem to be willing to cater to Muslims anytime they are called upon to do so.

We will see what happens next week, when I turn in a new application to exercise my right of free speech. Americans better wake up fast and start pushing back on this encroachment of Sharia before our freedoms and rights are gone. Then it will be too late.

Why Jihad Watch?

Why Jihad Watch? Because non-Muslims in the West, as well as in India, China, Russia, and the world over, are facing a concerted effort by Islamic jihadists, the motives and goals of whom are largely ignored by the Western media, to destroy their societies and impose Islamic law upon them — and to commit violence to that end even while their overall goal remains out of reach. That effort goes under the general rubric of jihad.

Jihad (Arabic for “struggle”) is a central duty of every Muslim. Muslim theologians have spoken of many things as jihads: the struggle within the soul, defending the faith from critics, supporting its growth and defense financially, even migrating to non-Muslim lands for the purpose of spreading Islam. But violent jihad is a constant of Islamic history and a central element of Islamic theology. Many passages of the Qur’an and sayings of the Islamic prophet Muhammad are used by jihad warriors today to justify their actions and gain new recruits. No major Muslim group has ever repudiated the doctrines of armed jihad. The theology of jihad, which denies unbelievers equality of human rights and dignity, is available today for anyone with the will and means to bring it to life.

In Islamic history and doctrine violent jihad is founded on numerous verses of the Qur’an — most notably, one known in Islamic theology as the “Verse of the Sword”: “Then, when READ THE REST

Yesterday I blogged on Marshall Polston being suspended from Rollins College in Florida for openly disagreeing with Professor Areej Zufari over the divinity, Crucifixion death and bodily Resurrection of Jesus Christ the Son of God.

I posited in essence, What would you expect from a Muslim who is taught these things about Jesus straight from their Quran, Hadith and Sunnah? Yet, I found it quite deplorable that Rollins College suspended Polston for his religious beliefs as if establishing the Islamic beliefs on Jesus as the accurate truth.

I argued that this attitude of Rollins College placed the educational institution in a position of submission to Professor Zufari and to the theopolitical ideology of Islam. Indeed, Islamic Supremacism is the belief Muslims are taught and that all non-Muslims must submit to Islam either in conversion or in publicly admitting that Islam is superior to one’s separate religious beliefs.

This is called Dhimmitude. Check out these excerpts of a Jerry Gordon review of the Mark Durie book “The Third Choice- Islam, Dhimmitude and Freedom”:

While browsing through a Barnes and Noble in Westport, Connecticut in 1988, I chanced upon a book on the bottom shelf of the Judaica section with the curious title, The Dhimmi: Jews and Christians under Islam, by Bat Ye’or. Bat Ye’or is a nom de plume meaning in Hebrew “daughter of the Nile.” I perused the paperback volume shocked by the revelations that the Muslim realm was not the tolerant Islam that Medievalist scholars had conveyed. …

The term dhimmi in Bat Ye’or’s pioneering volume referred to those subject to a dhimma or treaty decreeing their status and obligations including a jizya or poll tax that effectively amounted to onerous payments made in lieu of being beheaded – blood money. As Bat Ye’or noted:

Dhimmitude: the Islamic system of governing populations conquered by jihad wars, encompassing all of the demographic, ethnic, and religious aspects of the political system. The word “dhimmitude” comes from dhimmi, an Arabic word meaning “protected”. Dhimmi was the name applied by the Arab-Muslim conquerors to indigenous non-Muslim populations who surrendered by a treaty (dhimma) to Muslim domination. Islamic conquests expanded over vast territories in Africa, Europe and Asia, for over a millennium (638-1683). The Muslim empire incorporated numerous varied peoples which had their own religion, culture, language and civilization. For centuries, these indigenous, pre-Islamic peoples constituted the great majority of the population of the Islamic lands. Although these populations differed, they were ruled by the same type of laws, based on the Shari’a.

The Third Choice should be considered an important and timely complement to Bat Ye’or’s, The Dhimmi. (View this presentation on the Third Choice by author Durie at The Heritage Foundation.) He elucidates dhimmitude via discussion of basic Islamic Sharia law contained in the Quranic canon based on the example of Mohammed. What Durie means by the model of Mohammed is captured in an essay by him on the impossibility of Islamic reformation:

. . . Muhammad combined within himself the offices of king, judge, general and religious leader, thus unifying politics, law, the military and religion. To follow his example means creating a theocratic political order, where the laws of the land are controlled by Islamic theology.

Durie conveys the ritualized brutality of jizya –a virtual beheading:

For the dhimmi, the annual jizya payment was a powerful and public symbolic expression of the jihad-dhimmitude nexus, which fixed the horizon of the dhimmi ’s world. Although the ritual varied in its specific features, its essential character was an enactment of a beheading, in which one of the recurrent features was a blow to the neck of the dhimmi, at the very point when he makes his payment.  (p. 131)

Durie goes on to note the devastating impact of the jizyaon dhimmis:

The intended result of the jizya ritual is for the dhimmi to lose all sense of his own personhood. In return for this loss, the dhimmi was supposed to feel humility and gratitude towards his Muslim masters. Al-Mawardi said that the jizya head tax was either a sign of contempt, because of the dhimmis’ unbelief, or a sign of the mildness of Muslims, who granted them quarter (instead of killing or enslaving them) so humble gratitude was the intended response.

The remarks of al-Mawardi and Ibn ‘Ajibah make clear that its true meaning is to be found in psychological attitudes of inferiority and indebtedness imposed upon non-Muslims living under Islam, as they willingly and gratefully handed over the jizya in service to the Muslim community. (p. 141)

He notes this from READ ENTIRETY (Dhimmitude Dominates; By Jerry Gordon; New English Review; 2/2010)

AND this is the reason I become so upset when an American public figure or an American private/public institution goes out of its way to accommodate a Muslim or an Islamic organization. It is the beginning of the bending of the neck to submit or die to Islam.

While I was corroborating the news of Marshall Polston’s expulsion from Rollins College, I came across an awesome exposé of Professor Areej Zufari which I actually linked to in the “Florida College Turns Religious Liberty into Dhimmitude” post. The exposé is by Rich Swier.

Swier’s information of Zufari forces me to hold back the inward fury welling up pertaining to American Dhimmitude!

Orlando’s Muslim Professor Areeje Zufari — Profile of a ‘Radical Islamic Supremacist’

By Dr. Rich Swier

March 28, 2017

Dr. Rich Swier [Blog]

This column provides the background of Professor Areeje Zufari, a Professor of Humanities and Coordinator of the Humanities Speakers Series at Valencia College located in Orlando, Florida. Zufari gained attention when she told her students “that the crucifixion of Jesus was a hoax and that his disciples did not believe he was ‘divine.’”

Areeje Zufari

But there is much more to this story.

Joe Kaufman, an investigative journalist for FrontPage Magazine and Chairman of Americans Against Hate a civil rights organization and terrorism watchdog group, filed an affidavit No. CT-003545-04 naming Professor Zufari and her then husband Maher Ghawji a medical doctor based in Memphis, Tennessee. The affidavit reads in part:

  1. Maher Ghawji has admitted to his wife of being a member of the Muslim Brotherhood, a violent political movement whose members are sworn to “defend Islam” with their “blood.” He accepted this status with a group of friends, during a trip they had made to Cairo, Egypt (Exhibit 1). He left Syria around 1982, the year a government-led massacre took place in the town of Hama – a Brotherhood stronghold – which resulted in the deaths of 10,000 to 40,000 people (Exhibit 2). Following the massacre, members of the Brotherhood fled Syria, some leaving for the U.S. or Europe, some joining up with Osama bin Laden to fight in Afghanistan (Exhibit 3).

  1. During his court deposition, on June 4, 2004, Maher Ghawji admitted to the court and to his wife of being a Wahhabi, an adherent to a fanatical religious form of Islam emanating from Saudi Arabia (Exhibit 4 – page 26).

[ … ]

11a. Maher Ghawji’s son, Louis, has written about how his father wants to “get rid” of all Jews and how his father wants him [Louis] to become a suicide bomber. In an e-mail he sent to a friend on June 24, 2004, he wrote, “And because he [Maher Ghawji] wants to get rid of all Jews and everybody should be muslim and if not all others are idiots and blah blah blah muslim allah blah blah blah wants me to go blow up myself so he would be proud of me” (Exhibit 5).

11b. Both of Maher Ghawji’s sons have discussed how their father hates Jews. In the July 2, 2004 chambers interview with Louis and K.K. Ghawji, the children state the following: K.K. Ghawji: “So, but also, when he watches the TV and hears about Jews, he doesn’t – he’s like saying I hate the Jews, it is – ” Louis Ghawji: “He’s always wondering like every time there is one Jew dead, it is always a big fuss” (Exhibit 5).

  1. About Palestinians becoming suicide bombers, Maher Ghawji stated in his June 2004 deposition, “I think this will generate this, I’m not sure, spirit of blowing themselves up or feeling in despair; and when you’re in despair evidently like they live, and these people has no education, fifty percent jobless, have no running water after the invasion of Israeli to the Gaza Strip and West Bank, destroy all their infrastructure, evidently they feel miserable; and I said these people — I don’t see why not.” (Exhibit 4 – page 82).

According to Jacob Engels from the Central Florida Post:

Areeje Zufari at her wedding to Dr. Maher Ghawji. Photo: Joe Kaufman.

…Zufari had given Polston a failing grade without explanation, after the two disagreed over Zufari proclaiming during the first class that the Crucifixion of Christ was a hoax… as was the idea that Jesus’s disciples did not think he was “divine.

Polston reached out and demanded an explanation from the professor, but she instead reported him to the Dean of Safety for making her feel “unsafe.”

The straight-A student would ultimately be suspended on March 24th and then face outlandish allegations by Zufari, later that day.

She accused him of skulking around in the brush outside the classroom, but video surveillance from a Dr. Phillips restaurant and neighborhood gate cameras prove Polston was nowhere near the school at the time.

Now the Central Florida Post has uncovered a lawsuit filed in Orange County, FL in 2007 that contains bombshell allegations against Zufari and provide insight into her radical Wahhabi leanings. SEE THE LAWSUIT BELOW.

Florida College Turns Religious Liberty into Dhimmitude

John R. Houk

© March 28, 2017

On 3/24 I posted on how the Islamic revered writings of the Quran, Hadith and Sira (Sunna) are directly Antisemitic and Antichristian. This has become a problem and a challenge to the Religious Liberty of the First Amendment in relation to how these revered writings provoke Islamic Supremacist concepts that large private businesses and private institutions (such as colleges) are relegating themselves to dhimmitude.

Areej Zufari

Rollins College located in Florida suspended Marshall Polston for challenging the opinion of Middle Eastern Humanities Professor Areej Zufari that Jesus Christ was never Crucified nor was Jesus God – part of the co-equal personhood of Father, Son and Holy Spirit as ONE singular God.

Polston’s beliefs are a part of central tenets of Christianity. Professor Zufari’s beliefs are straight out of the Quran.

The Religious Liberty written in the blood Revolutionary War veterans in the First Amendment means both Polston and Zufari are entitled to their opinions.

However, when Rollins College suspended Polston for his Christian beliefs undoubtedly at the behest of the Muslim Professor Areej Zufari, robbed Polston of First Amendment Religious Liberty. In Contrast to the deference to Zufari, the college’s actions not only upheld the Professor’s Religious Liberty but also declared Islam supreme over all religious faiths making Christians and other non-Muslims into dhimmis on American soil.

Christian student suspended after challenging Muslim prof’s claim that Jesus wasn’t crucified

By WILLIAM NARDI – LIBERTY UNIVERSITY

MARCH 27, 2017

The College Fix

A student says he was suspended from Rollins College for challenging his Muslim professor’s anti-Christian assertions, including her claim that Jesus’ crucifixion never took place.

Twenty-year-old Marshall Polston, a sophomore at the private, Florida-based four-year college, said that the professor of his Middle Eastern Humanities class also told students that Jesus’ disciples did not believe he was God.

Polston, an avid traveler and self-described Christian, has toured the Middle East and is familiar with the Muslim culture.

“Honestly, it reminded me of some of the more radical groups I researched when abroad,” Polston told the Central Florida Postabout his professor’s comments on Jesus.

“Whether religious or not, I believe even those with limited knowledge of Christianity can agree that according to the text, Jesus was crucified and his followers did believe he was divine… that he was ‘God,’” he continued. “Regardless, to assert the contrary as academic fact is not supported by the evidence.”

Polston, in a message to The College Fix on Saturday, said he stands behind his assertions in the Post article. He said he is upset he was suspended and has hired an attorney.

“Our university should be a place where free-speech flashes and ideas can be spoken of without punishment or fear of retribution,” Polston told The College Fix. “In my case it was the total opposite. … I came forward with the story because I know so many other students like me suffer under today’s liberal academic elite.”

The professor, Areej Zufari, as well as a campus spokesperson, could not be reached by The College Fix late Sunday. However, the Central Florida Post reports that it tried numerous times to obtain comment from Rollins College and Professor Zufari to no avail.

Polston claims the situation began after he challenged Zufari’s assertions about Jesus and his disciples. Polston said this challenge led Zufari to file a complaint with a campus dean, claiming he made her feel “unsafe.”

Next, Polston received a 52 percent on a major essay.

“I was upset, understandably. I’ve never gotten anything less than straight A’s, so I was really interested in figuring out how to possibly improve or at least understand the grade,” Polston told the Post.

On another day during the course, Zufari led a discussion about the application of Sharia Law. Polston claims that during this discussion, a male Muslim student said gays and adulterers should be beheaded under Sharia Law.

“I spoke out to the professor about the grade and subsequently the decapitation comments made by the student,” Polston told The Fix. “The statement by the conservative Muslim student met such fear by some that one of the students reported it to the FBI. Later, I was reported by the professor to the dean of campus safety. The situation was surreal. We’ve already had one too many attacks in Orlando and as an avid traveler I realized this was the perfect example of ‘see something, say something.’”

Zufari, for her part, posted on Facebook to the ACLU of Florida, complaining about an unnamed student that is “making my life hell this semester. This one is spewing hatred at me, de-railing class, and just sent me a hateful email threatening me…I want to know if there is a way to hold the individual responsible for his harassment and hate speech. Any ideas? Thank you!”

According to the March 24 suspension letter, Polston’s “actions have constituted a threat of disruption within the operations of the College and jeopardize the safety and well-being of members of the College community and yourself.”

Those alleged actions are not spelled out within the document. Nonetheless, Polston was given strict directions not to set foot on campus or have any contact with Zufari in the letter.

However, claims that Polston violated the terms of his suspension and came to harass the class this past Thursday were lodged. A campus safety report obtained by The College Fix states:

“Student ______ stated to me that she looked out the back glass door of the classroom and saw Mr. Polston staring into the room. He briefly stopped then proceeded on his way. Campus safety was immediately notified and responded at 19:36 hours. A search was conducted but Mr. Polston was not found. Ms. Zufari’s students were upset and did not feel comfortable being in the class. Ms. Zufari dismissed her class early at 20:07 hours.”

Polston has completely refuted these claims, however, offering video footage of his whereabouts — at a restaurant over a half-hour away from the school.

As for Rollins College, this isn’t the first time its officials have acted unfavorably toward Christian students.

In 2013, college officials kicked a Christian group off of campus for their conservative beliefs and threatened to pull funding from Christian student groups that would not allow non-Christian students to be in the club’s leadership. Later that year students were told that they could not hold private Bible studies in their dorm rooms, Fox News reported.

Yale University: Weighed and Found Wanting

Paul Sutliff writes about Yale University diminishing into dhimmitude to what many call Radical Islam. (Islam is Islam if it follows its revered writings.) Paul briefly draws a verbal timeline of a favorable view of Osama bin Laden through to the present day acceptance of a TEN MILLION dollar donation from al Qaeda supporter Saleh Abdalla Kamel – a Saudi billionaire. By PAUL SUTLIFF

OCTOBER 26, 2015

People’s Pundit Daily

In 2008 Basak Otus, a writer for Yale Daily News, the leading news source for Yale University wrote an article that started:

English majors getting tired of Shakespeare and Wordsworth will soon be able to turn to Yale’s libraries for a poet of a different kind altogether: Osama bin Laden.

The backlash to this article should have been taken as a prophetic warning of what was to come, akin to the handwriting on the wall of King Belshazzar of Babylon in the Book of Daniel. In that story, the fingers of a man’s hand appeared and wrote on the wall an ominous warning that the Prophet Daniel interpreted as meaning:

1) God has numbered your kingdom, and finished it.

2) You have been weighed in the balances, and found wanting.

3) Your kingdom has been divided, and given away.

Basak Otis’ article in 2008 pointed out that Yale University no longer had America’s best interests at heart, but was in a love affair with one of the most notorious men of the modern era: Osama bin Laden. Perhaps the article would have faded into the background and remained forgotten if Yale woke up when it was attacked that June by a jihadist firebombing, which was intended to destroy their power plant.

But the wake-up call was ignored.

Yale University reverted to its love affair with Osama bin Laden in September 2009 and published a sharia compliant version of a book about Muhammad cartoons, by censoring the illustrations from being printed. This was less than three months after the attempted fire-bombing.

It was Yale University’s overt attempt to display “dhimmitude”–submission to Muslims–rather than show their heritage as great defenders of the First Amendment. Yale had the opportunity to take a strong stand for America and her beliefs in liberty for all of her citizens! It was a chance to be seen as the University that defends the First Amendment. Yale, however chose to become an example of “being weighed and found wanting” in their defense of the US Constitution.

In 2014 Yale Law School hosted Rachid Al-Ghannouchi to speak to its students and the community as well. Rachid is a member of the Ennahda Party in Tunisia. Ennahda is the Muslim Brotherhood entity in Tunisia. Osama bin Laden was and is still counted as a member of the Muslim Brotherhood. Yale University has people that vet public speakers. How is it possible they did not know that Al-Ghannouchi was a staunch defender of Hamas, a US declared terrorist entity?

Yale’s last act of dhimmitude was their receipt of $10 million dollars from the son of Saleh Abdallah Kamel, a documented financer of al-Qaeda with banking ties with Osama bin Laden, himself. Yale has agreed to place an Islamic Law Center in their Law School, but refuses to acknowledge that Islamic law is sharia. This act equates Sharia with the US Constitution.

The act of placing an Islamic Law Center at Yale forces the university to fight itself. Those studying at Yale to earn degrees in its seminary must take a stand, it is their Christian duty. The Music School also must fight this as Sharia requires the destruction of musical instruments and the very concept of a Music School.

The writing was on the wall in 2008. It seems 2015 is the year that Yale becomes divided against itself and will soon no longer exist as the great educational institution it once was.

Can Yale survive its Dhimmitude? I think not.

Shamim Masih writes about the exploitation and deprivation of Pakistani Christians in a slum colony just outside of Islamabad. The Christians in Pakistan may not be having their heads chopped off en masse as in the terrorist pseudo-nation calling itself the Islamic State but their lives are lived in oppression just as the dhimmitude (See Also HERE) Pact of Omar (Umar) etched in the Islamic stone of Sharia Law.

There is no official Islamic “dhimmitude” in Pakistan or in most of the Muslim dominated nations; however the treatment of non-Muslims is still in the dhimmitude Muslim mentality in Islamic culture. ERGO the Christians Shamim are advocating for are essentially treated as dhimmis by Pakistan Sunni Muslims.

Khana Dak Christians

Islamabad: Christians of Khana Dak celebrated Independence Day across the Korang Nala, where, they have no access to a road. The local government has turned a cold face towards this community. Residents raised small funds, which are awfully short of the total budget. On the 69th Independence Day celebration of Pakistan, I was invited to join the celebration at Khana Dak, (a Christian colony with more than 70 houses). There, Rah-e-Nijat Ministry arranged singing and a debate competition for young church members with the local priest. We drove through the pasture. The event was good and we all enjoyed it, at the end youngsters were encouraged [by] distributing shields to the winners.

But I noticed the disheveled existence of the local community in the area. This community lives across the Korang Nala, or Korang River, (Korang River is the outlet stream of Rawal Dame. This stream crosses Islamabad Express Highway from Korang Town and Judicial Colony). This river strikes this colony every year and destroys what meager housing the poor have which includes the elimination of food supplies, crops, and form animals. The recent and last year, I met with victims of the massive deluge but these Christians received no help from the authorities. They have been affected by the flood every year and yet no disaster recovery plan or infrastructure has been put in place to enhance their safety or security. Another difficulty they face [is] that the owner of the nearby colony (Qutbal Town) has banned their way to a road. Last year, there was a flood all around [Khana Dak] but there was no passage to this colony.

This year, the residents have been able to negotiate with the owner of the town and got the passage towards the road side. But there is a problem to construct the bridge on the Korang Nala. The local government should construct a bridge on the nala but the Capital Development Authority (CDA) does not fulfill its responsibility. The families have been working together to arrange funds. In the meantime, they raised funds for two big pipes. But this is woefully short of the level they need. There is an urgent call for support to the downtrodden families.

During the last year, when government agencies and charities have set up temporary shelter in the form of tents and providing food, clean water and medical aid in the flood affected areas, poor Christians of this area as well as Layyah, Sharoon Colony and Gilgit were overlooked and forgotten. Christian communities have survived quite miraculously and remain unscathed. Victims had lost most of their possessions which had been washed away with their homes or irretrievably ruined by water damage and bruising carriage via the water surge.

Presently, Rah-e-Nijat Ministry® is raising funds for the construction of the bridge; sources said that the total cost of the project is more than 2.5 million Pak rupees. Please help them by giving financially, that they might continue the work. I hope hearts are stirred to offer help to these victims, as I believe one day we all have to answer to our maker.

Be Blessed,

Shamim Masih

* Dhimmis at all times should be aware that they are inferior to Muslims and to behave accordingly.

* Dhimmis owe a special tax. Which must be personally handed, with the dhimmis ritual will be humbled (for example by saving them in the face). Pays a dhimmi not, you lose the right to protection and can do every Muslim to him what he wants.

* Muslims dhimmis can prescribe what clothes to wear so that their submission is emphasized.

* Dhimmis may not have cars or other motor vehicles, most bikes. They should always give priority to Muslims.

* When a Muslim wishes to sit in public places, a dhimmi must release his chair.

* Dhimmis may no finer or higher inhabit houses than the Muslims in their environment.

* Dhimmis may only perform a menial job or heavy work.

* It is dhimmis not allowed to build new churches or synagogues, or repair dilapidated churches or synagogues.

* Dhimmis are free to practice their religion, but allowing to not only reveal a stir. It is forbidden to display publicly in prayer or singing too loudly. It is also forbidden to wear religious symbols, or attach it to the outside of a building.

* Dhimmis cannot criticize Islam, the Koran and Muhammad, this is punishable by death or long imprisonment.

* Dhimmis cannot prevent their relatives are Muslim.

* It is not allowed Muslims to convert to Christianity or Judaism.

* It is male dhimmis forbidden to marry Muslim women, a Muslim man can marry a dhimmi woman of course.

* The testimony of a Muslim always counts more than that of a dhimmi. An oath or declaration of a dhimmi in a case against a Muslim has no legal validity.

* Dhimmis should never, ever carry a weapon and can therefore do no service to the police or the army.

* The insult or offend Muslims with dhimmis is strictly prohibited, the converse is not a problem. A dhimmi who reproves a Muslim inflicts injury is heavy, the opposite case is a modest fine enough. If a Muslim kills a dhimmi and therefore no acceptable reason can argue he should pay blood money. On the killing of a Muslim with a dhimmi is of course the death penalty.

* If a dhimmi converts to Islam and later rejects it, he will be put to death.

* It is not allowed in many cases dhimmi children to attend university education.

In an earlier post I shared that persecuted Pakistani-Christian Asia Bibi received a stay of execution by hanging. I wanted to draw attention that the Pakistan government was still keeping her in prison even though a few Western nations had offered her and her family asylum if she is released. In conjunction with her continued incarceration I excerpted from various sources how ill-treated Bibi has experienced and that her family was constantly receiving death threats and thus are in hiding as in having to move around a lot to avoid deadly persecution.

Since America is still the land where Christians can enjoy religious liberty without fear of Muslims demanding Sharia punishments be enforced for believing Jesus Christ is the Son of God and true Messiah while Mohammed was (as in past tense and dead as a rusty door nail) falsely claimed to be a messenger a divine deity called Allah who went out his way to tell listeners that Jesus Christ is NOT the Son of God, that the Lord did NOT die on the Cross AND NEVER did arise bodily from the grave reclaiming the divine attributes given up to be a sacrifice for the redemption to a lost and separated from God humankind.

This basic theological Christian faith is blasphemy to a Muslim because in their view it belittles Mohammed and that fake deity Allah.

And so Asia Bibi is still in prison and her family is still stuck in Pakistan in a nation in which the Sunni-Muslim majority believes they should die horribly to honor Mo and Allah.

Do you think President Barack Hussein Obama and his Administration care about the suffering that Christians like Asia Bibi receives at the hands of lunatic Muslims believing they are honoring their deity and prophet?

The President has allowed a destructive nuke deal to move forward with Iran without requiring the Christian American citizens imprisoned on various bogus charges to be released. Obama has allowed the mass slaughtering of Christians in Iraq and Syria by psycho-Muslims that have carved land out of those two nations and called it the Islamic State (IS). Our President still calls them ISIL, most American media outlets calls the “IS” ISIS (See Also HERE) and most Muslim nations and Israel calls the “IS” Daesh (pronounced like dash – See Also HERE).

You’d think a nation like the United States of America that still has a large affinity for Christianity would be more accommodating toward persecuted Christians in Muslim dominated nations, right?

Raymond Ibrahim examines Obama’s Administration to shine a light on some curious practices being used against persecuted Christians to prevent their voice from being heard by American voters.

U.S. State Dept. Bars Christians from Testifying about Persecution: Muslim Persecution of Christians, May 2015

By Raymond Ibrahim

July 24, 2015

Raymond Ibrahim – Islam Translated

Also at Gatestone Institute

During the height of one of the most brutal months of Muslim persecution of Christians, the U.S. State Department exposed its double standards against persecuted Christian minorities.

Sister Diana, an influential Iraqi Christian leader, who was scheduled to visit the U.S. to advocate for persecuted Christians in the Mideast, was denied a visa by the U.S. State Department even though she had visited the U.S. before, most recently in 2012.

She was to be one of a delegation of religious leaders from Iraq — including Sunni, Shia and Yazidi, among others — to visit Washington, D.C., to describe the situation of their people. Every religious leader from this delegation to Washington D.C. was granted a visa — except for the only Christian representative, Sister Diana.

After this refusal became public, many Americans protested, some writing to their congressmen. Discussing the nun’s visa denial, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich said:

This is an administration which never seems to find a good enough excuse to help Christians, but always finds an excuse to apologize for terrorists … I hope that as it gets attention that Secretary Kerry will reverse it. If he doesn’t, Congress has to investigate, and the person who made this decision ought to be fired.

The State Department eventually granted Sister Diana a visa.

This is not the first time the U.S. State Department has not granted a visa to a Christian leader coming from a Muslim region. Last year, after the United States Institute for Peace brought together the governors of Nigeria’s mostly Muslim northern states for a conference in the U.S., the State Department blocked the visa of the region’s only Christian governor, Jonah David Jang.

According to a Nigerian human rights lawyer based in Washington D.C., Emmanuel Ogebe, the Christian governor’s “visa problems” were due to anti-Christian bias in the U.S. government:

The U.S. insists that Muslims are the primary victims of Boko Haram. It also claims that Christians discriminate against Muslims in Plateau, which is one of the few Christian majority states in the north. After the [Christian governor] told them [U.S. authorities] that they were ignoring the 12 Shariah states who institutionalized persecution … he suddenly developed visa problems…. The question remains — why is the U.S. downplaying or denying the attacks against Christians?

The testimony of another nun, Sister Hatune Dogan, also made in May, indicates why the State Department may not want to hear such testimonials: they go against the paradigm that “Islam is peace.” According to Sister Hatune:

What is going on there [Islamic State territories], what I was hearing, is the highest barbarism on earth in the history until today… The mission of Baghdadi, of ISIS, is to convert the world completely to the Islamic religion and bring them to Dar Al Salaam, as they call it. And Islam is not peace, please. Whoever says ISIS has no connection to Islam or something like this is, he’s a liar. ISIS is Islam; Islam is ISIS… We know that in Islam, there is no democracy. Islam and democracy are opposite, like black and white. And I hope America will understand. America today has the power that they can stop this disaster on the earth, with other Western countries.

The rest of May’s roundup of Muslim persecution of Christians around the world includes, but is not limited to, the following accounts, listed by theme.

Muslim Attacks on Christian Churches

Pakistan: Three separate incidents involved attacks on churches:

1) On May 28, in the city of Chakwal, south of Lahore, Muslim men destroyed a Protestant church and beat six Christians, including the pastor. Some of those wounded had to be hospitalized. A few days earlier, Pastor Suhail Masih and his companions had been accused by local Muslims of carrying out “proselytism and conversions of Muslims,” according to a preliminary report.

2) Javed David, head of Hope for the Light Ministries in Lahore, and his associates, have been receiving death threats since February. The latest incident occurred in April, but became public knowledge only in May. According to David:

I had been to church in Sheikhupura to attend a meeting with colleagues. It was 8 o’clock in the evening when we left to return to Lahore. We were about to reach the main road when a motorbike drove up and blocked the way. Maybe they were following us. The two bikers were wearing a helmet (sic). One of them came up to my window and spoke to me. “We know what you are doing here,” he said. “Stop building churches. Convert to Islam, which is the true religion. Otherwise we will make a horrible example of you.”… [On another] occasion too, I was going home when a motorcycle stopped in front of me. The driver knocked on the window and threw in a piece of paper. I did not open it before I got home. It said, “This is an Islamic nation. We cannot allow church building. Either you convert to Islam or you leave this country! Stop building churches or you’ll pay the consequences!”

3) On May 29 in Faisalabad, around 2 a.m., a gang of Muslims on motorcycles attacked a church near the Sadar police station. They opened fire on the church and set its main gate on fire, damaging its windows. According to church cleric Dilawar Masih, “Though no human loss was reported in this incident, attackers gave a clear-cut message that Christians and their places of worship are not safe and they may be attacked any time by the terrorists.”

Egypt: Two churches were attacked:

1) On May 16, a homemade explosive device planted next to a Coptic Christian church was detonated around sunset. As the St. George Church in Tamiya (Fayum governorate) was mostly empty at the time, there were no casualties. However, the church’s administrative offices and second floor windows were shattered, creating chaos and panic in the area. Church security cameras captured the two men on a motorcycle, who stopped at the church. One of the men dismounted and placed a bag containing the bomb next to the church, and they then sped off.

2) On Sunday morning, May 31 in Senoras city, Fayum, masked men on motorcycles opened fire on an Evangelical church. Security forces guarding the church briefly exchanged fire with the masked men before they fled on their motorcycles. No one was reported hurt.

Canada: On May 26, a 22-year-old man of Muslim background was charged with alleged hate crimes committed against the St. Catherine of Siena Church and its neighboring elementary school in Mississauga, Ontario. Iqbal Hessan faces five counts of mischief, and over $5,000 in fines. On May 20, the Sacred Heart of Jesus statue that stands in front of the church was covered in black paint and the fingers of its outstretched arms were broken off. Behind the church, graffiti with the words “There is no Jew God” was scrawled across the brick wall along with a drawing of a face labelled “Jewsus.” That vandalism was the fourth time the church was targeted. On April 9, surveillance cameras caught a young man breaking into the church, ripping pages of the Sacramentary book on the altar, throwing them at the tabernacle, and then stealing one of the church’s sound-system speakers. On May 17, a drawing of a hand gesturing with the middle finger was found spray-painted on the front steps of the church. And on May 25, graffiti was sprayed on the school walls.

Algeria: According to Abdel Fattah Zarawi, the Muslim leader of the Salafi party, also known as the Free Front of Algeria, any and all Christian churches remaining in the North African nation must be closed and reopened as mosques. Although the transformation of Christian churches into Muslim mosques is nearly as old as Islam itself — Algeria was Christian-majority and even gave the world St. Augustine before Islam invaded and conquered it in the seventh century — the Salafi leader tried to portray his proposal as a “grievance” against rising anti-Muslim sentiment in Europe, especially France. Launched on social media and networks, the Salafi campaign against Algerian churches even calls for the transformation of the nation’s most important churches into mosques — including the Church of Notre Dame d’Afrique in Algiers, the Church of St. Augustine in Annaba, and the Church of Santa Cruz in Oran — since “they have no relation whatsoever to the religion of Algerian Muslims,” in the words of the Free Front.

Saudi Arabia: Sheikh Adel al-Kalbani, former Imam of the Grand Mosque in Mecca and current prayer leader of Muhaisin Mosque in Riyadh, issued a tweet from his personal Twitter account, saying, “My beloved nation: It suffices me that you shelter me from hearing church bells ringing in you.” Due to his importance, the New York Times once issued an entire spread about al-Kalbani. The “hopeful” theme is how al-Kalbani managed to rise to the top in Saudi Arabia by becoming the first black Imam of the Grand Mosque in Mecca. No word in any English language media, however, about his abhorrence for Christian churches and their bells.

Turkey: A 900-year-old Christian church in Turkey is to be renovated into a functioning mosque — despite previous governmental assurances that it would be renovated into a museum. Enez’s Hagia Sophia, the name of the ancient church, is located inside the city of Ainos, along the border with Greece and stationed atop a hill, visible to all. Another centuries-old church, Hagia Sophia in Trabzon, along the Black Sea, was reopened in 2013 as a mosque, although it was a museum for many years. Meanwhile, a majority of Turks await the re-transformation of the greatest Hagia Sophia (Constantinople’s) into a mosque.

Yemen: A Catholic church was seriously damaged during a Saudi bombing raid around mid-May. The church of the Immaculate Conception in Aden had earlier been occupied by Houthi rebels who had vandalized its interior. The airstrike by Saudi bombers — in support of the Yemeni government in its struggle with the rebels — did further damage to the structure. Only one Catholic priest remains in Yemen. Two priests fled the country to escape the violence, while another, who was out of the country when the fighting began, has been unable to return. Twenty members of the Missionaries of Charities have chosen to remain in the war-torn country, tending to the sick and the poor.

Muslim Attacks on Christian Freedom

Pakistan: On Sunday, May 24, a Christian man in the Sanda neighborhood of Lahore was accused of blasphemy when some Muslims saw him burning newspapers that reportedly contained Arabic verses from the Koran. After the accusation, a Muslim mob caught the Christian, severely beat him, and even attempted to set him on fire. A few months earlier, another Muslim mob burned a Christian couple alive inside a kiln after they, too, were accused of insulting Islam. The Christian youth — named Humayun Masih, said to be “mentally unstable” — was imprisoned and charged under section 295-B of Pakistan’s penal code, which prohibits the desecration of the Koran. After the attack on the Christian youth, the Muslim mob, reportedly thousands, rampaged through the neighborhood and set fire to Christian homes and a church. Christians in the region were attacked, and most fled the region; some of the mob was armed and gunshots were heard.

Egypt: On May 5, another Coptic Christian was convicted of blaspheming against Islam: “ridiculing or insulting a heavenly religion” in violation of Article 98 (f) of the Egyptian Penal Code. A judge in Daqahliya sentenced Michael Munir Beshay to one year’s imprisonment and a fine of one thousand Egyptian pounds. As International Christian Concern puts it: “Despite steps taken by the Sisi-led government to bring about greater tolerance and reforms, the conviction of Beshay is just another of many recent incidents highlighting the continued persecution of the country’s Christian minority.”[1] And Bishoy Armia Boulous – formerly known as Mohammed Hegazy, an apostate from Islam to Christianity — has remained imprisoned now for approximately a year, well past the legal six-month investigation period. All this time, he has been subject to physical and verbal abuse, from both prison guards and fellow inmates, on account of his “apostasy” from, and “blasphemy” against, Islam. He has been denied a Bible and has not had eyeglasses since they were intentionally broken some time ago. [2]

Iran: Ibrahim Firouzi, a Muslim convert to Christianity, was sentenced to the maximum five years in prison for “action against national security through collusion and gathering.” After Firouzi converted to Christianity, he was arrested on August 25, 2013 and convicted of evangelizing, colluding with “anti-regime” foreign networks, launching a Christian website, and working against the Islamic Republic of Iran. Although his prison term was supposed to end on January 13, 2015, authorities continued to hold him illegally, and on March 8 they sentenced him to serve another five years “in very difficult conditions.”

Dhimmitude

Syria: After failed negotiations, the Islamic State (IS) refused to release 242 Christian hostages captured during a late February raid along the Khabur River. On May 1, the IS demanded $242 million USD for the release of 93 women, 51 children, and 98 men taken captive. The Assyrian church, family and friends, unable to raise such a large sum, made a lesser, undisclosed offer, which IS rejected, saying it would no longer negotiate concerning the fate of the captive Christians. Based on Islamic law, their fate will now likely be slavery (especially women and children) or execution (especially men).[3]

Ethiopia: A Muslim mob in Deder attacked a Christian man and forced him out of his home on pain of death, in an effort to appropriate his land and build a mosque on it – despite recent court rulings confirming the Christian man’s property rights. “Their first plan was to kill my husband,” said Fikere Mengistu’s wife. “Now, he has escaped from the area. We are fasting and praying for God to rescue us from this forceful action.” She remains with her five children, elderly mother-in-law and 30 other Christians, praying on the property. “We did our best try to defend our faith based on the law of the country… Muslims are out of the control of the government and the law. What can we do?” said Mengistu.[4]

Iraq: Juliana George, a 16-year-old Christian girl living in Baghdad, was abducted from her home. According to her family, a person knocked on the door of their home and when she answered, she was seized by four men who forced her into a waiting taxi and sped away. Her grandfather, Joseph, a priest, chased the taxi on foot and grabbed its door, but eventually fell to the side as the vehicle sped away. She was eventually released after her family paid a $55,000 ransom to the abductors for her return. Juliana’s father, George, said that she has been traumatized by the experience: “I fear for her and my two other daughters…. There is no reason to believe that we will not be targeted again. I don’t see how we can stay in Baghdad after this.”

Turkey: On the same year that millions around the world commemorated the centennial of the Armenian Genocide, Turkish authorities started the demolition of Kamp Armen, an Armenian orphanage in the metropolitan district of Tuzla, despite the attempts by some political representatives to intervene. The orphanage was built in 1962 on the initiative of the Armenian Protestant community. A brief historical recap of the orphanage follows:

Thanks to its activities, the institution has helped 1,500 children to grow up in an environment based on the spirituality and culture of Armenian Christianity. There was also Hrant Dink among its students, the Armenian Turkish journalist, founder of the bilingual magazine Agos, killed in 2007 after being repeatedly threatened with death for his positions on the Armenian Genocide. The Turkish State had expropriated the orphanage in 1987, and all legal attempt (sic) by the Armenian Protestant communities to regain control of the building fell on deaf ears.

Italian Dhimmitude

Accounts of Muslim immigrants taunting and even assaulting Christians in Italy are increasing. Earlier this year, a crucifix was violently destroyed in close proximity to a populated mosque, and a statue of the Virgin Mary was destroyed and urinatedon by a group of North Africans in Italy. In addition:

· A Muslim schoolboy of African origin beat a 12-year-old girl at a school because she was wearing a crucifix around her neck. The boy, who had only started to attend the school a few weeks earlier, began to bully the Christian girl — “insulting her and picking on her in other ways all because she was wearing the crucifix” — before he finally assaulted her. Italian police did not charge the boy with any offense; they said he was a minor.

· On Sunday, May 10, after church mass, a group of young Muslim immigrants from the Islamic Center interrupted a Catholic procession in honor of the Virgin Mary. They shouted verbal insults and threats as the group passed in front of the Islamic Cultural Center in Conselice, a small town in lower Romagna. Approximately 100 Catholic Christians, including several small children, were preparing to receive their first Holy Communion. They were reportedly stunned and confused and halted the procession before regrouping and hurrying past the Center.

Egyptian Dhimmitude

On Sunday, May 24, in the village of Kafr Darwish, just south of Cairo, a Muslim mob attacked Coptic Christian homes by throwing stones and Molotov explosives at them. More than 10 homes were torched and damaged. This attack was apparently prompted by a familiar narrative: one of the Coptic villagers, Ayman Youssef, was accused of posting cartoons offensive to Muhammad on his Facebook account. Youssef is illiterate and says he lost his mobile phone a few days before the alleged Facebook posting. Village elders and security representatives held a “conciliation session” and decreed that Youssef’s entire family — including the 80-year-old father and 75-year-old mother — must leave the village if angry Muslims were to calm down. The Christian family was told by the village mayor Ahmed Maher that police “cannot guarantee their safety if they remained in the village.”

Dr. Khaled Montaser, an Egyptian intellectual and frequent critic of the Islamization of the country, discussed how discrimination against Coptic Christians is widespread in certain medical professions. He said during a televised program that, although the pioneer of Obstetrics and Gynecology in Egypt was a Coptic Christian (Dr. Naguib Mahfouz), his grandson is banned from entering these professions because he is a Christian. Montaser confirmed that this policy, even if not a formal law, has caused Christian students increasingly to continue their studies abroad. He pointed out that this “policy” has become a norm — one of many that discriminates against Copts.

In a 25-minute interview on Arabic satellite TV with Dr. Mona Roman, Coptic Christian Bishop Agathon fully exposed the plight of his Christian flock in Minya, Egypt — a region that has a large Coptic minority that is steadily under attack. It was pointed out that the Egyptian state itself is often behind the persecution of and discrimination against Christians. According to the bishop, local governmental authorities — including the State Security apparatus — do not just ignore the attacks on Copts, but are often the very ones behind them.[5]

During a recent interview on Egyptian television, Dr. Yunis Makioun, head of the Al-Nour Party, the political wing of the Salafis, insisted that Islam commands Muslims to “protect” the nation’s Christian minority — a reference to their “dhimmi” status — and treat them properly. Even so, said the Salafi spokesman, Muslims, according to Islam, are forbidden to offer greetings or congratulations to Copts on any Christian holiday.

Coptic Kidnappings

Since the “Arab Spring” came to Egypt, the kidnapping of Coptic Christians has been on the rise. In Nag Hammadi alone, 77 persons have been abducted, and two killed.

Makram Nazir, a 55-year-old Coptic Christian man was kidnapped and killed. Nazir was returning home from his second job in the middle of the night on April 26, when he was seized. His abductors called his brother and demanded a million Egyptian pounds (equivalent of $131,000 USD). As it was an impossible amount to raise, the Coptic man’s family negotiated a significantly reduced price by phone with the abductors. The brother went to the local police station, provided them with all the information, including recordings of the phone calls, but, according to Watan News, “no one made a single move or took the matter seriously.” After paying the ransom, three days passed before Nazir’s family found the Coptic man’s corpse in a canal. Killing Christian hostages even after being paid the ransom is not uncommon in Egypt. The same happened to 6-year-old Cyril Joseph: on May 2013, it was reported that his “family is in tatters after paying 30,000 pounds [about $4000 USD] to the abductor, who still killed the innocent child and threw his body in the sewer system, where the body, swollen and moldy, was exhumed.”

Armed gunmen seized an 8-year-old Coptic Christian child, Antonious Zaki Hani, who was walking with his mother to school in Nag Hammadi. Four armed gunmen appeared, forced the child from his mother on the threat of death, and fled in a car. The kidnappers demanded two million Egyptian pounds ($262,000 USD) in ransom. Police eventually released the boy 17 days after he was kidnapped, although some activists say police knew earlier where the boy was being held.

On May 2, another Coptic Christian girl, Marina Magdi Fahim, 17, vanished after leaving her home around midday in the Hanofil region of Alexandria. Her family reported her disappearance to the authorities. Human rights activists say the girl was not reported injured at any hospital — a sign that she was kidnapped. She has not been seen since.

A few days earlier, another 17-year old Coptic Christian was kidnapped in the village of al-Kom al-Qibliyya in Samalout. An eyewitness said he saw a Muslim neighbor named Ahmed Khalifa seize the girl. Although the family planned to organize a protest, the village elders counseled against it, lest it backfire by provoking more of the area’s Muslims to retaliate against the Christian minority of the region, as often happens whenever Copts ask for their human rights.

About this Series

The persecution of Christians in the Islamic world has become endemic. Accordingly, “Muslim Persecution of Christians” was developed to collate some—by no means all—of the instances of persecution that surface each month. It serves two purposes:

1) To document that which the mainstream media does not: the habitual, if not chronic, persecution of Christians.

2) To show that such persecution is not “random,” but systematic and interrelated—that it is rooted in a worldview inspired by Islamic Sharia.

Accordingly, whatever the anecdote of persecution, it typically fits under a specific theme, including hatred for churches and other Christian symbols; apostasy, blasphemy, and proselytism laws that criminalize and sometimes punish with death those who “offend” Islam; sexual abuse of Christian women; forced conversions to Islam; theft and plunder in lieu of jizya (financial tribute expected from non-Muslims); overall expectations for Christians to behave like cowed dhimmis, or third-class, “tolerated” citizens; and simple violence and murder. Sometimes it is a combination thereof.

Because these accounts of persecution span different ethnicities, languages, and locales—from Morocco in the West, to Indonesia in the East—it should be clear that one thing alone binds them: Islam—whether the strict application of Islamic Sharia law, or the supremacist culture born of it.

1] Beshay’s case is only one of several concerning Christians accused of, and punished for, insulting Islam. In April, Gad Yunan, a Coptic Christian teacher, and some of his Coptic students, were arrested on the charge of insulting Islam. Their crime was to have made a 30-second video on Yunan’s iPhone mocking the Islamic State — which Egypt’s Muslims and authorities apparently equate with mocking Islam, even as Muslims in the West insist ISIS has “nothing to do with Islam. Last year, Kerolos Shouky Attallah, a young Coptic Christian man accused of blaspheming Islam for simply “liking” an Arabic-language Facebook page administered by an anonymous group of Christian converts, was sentenced to six years in prison. The Copt did not make any comments on the site, share any of the postings or upload anything to it, and removed his name from the page once he realized that it might offend Muslims. In the hours preceding the sentencing, a rioting mob burned down several Christian-owned shops. He remains in hiding.

[2] According to lawyer Karam Ghobrial, the reason his client is being held and tortured in prison has to do with what made Bishoy notorious some years back in the first place: his audacity not only to convert to Christianity, but to try formally to change his religious identity from Muslim to Christian on his ID card — prompting much public animosity and death threats against him at the time.

[3] According to Bishop Mar Mellis:

We tried many times to negotiate with the people that captured them and for their release.

We offered them an amount of money in accordance with the law of jizya but sadly after a week the negotiator between us returned and told us that ISIS wanted $100,000 for each person. They were asking for over $23 million.

We are a poor nation. These people [Christian captives] have not done anything wrong and won’t harm anyone. We as Assyrians do not have this amount of money you are asking for. We offered an amount of money that we cannot disclose at this time. With the amount we offered, we thought it was acceptable, to have the return of the 230 people.

After two days, they [Islamic State] told us: “The amount the church offered was not acceptable. From now on, we will no longer negotiate with you.” We then thought we would wait, hoping they would come back to talk. Sadly, we received word that the 230 kidnapped people will be sent to the Court of Sharia in Raqqa, where a Muslim judge from Mosul will deliver their fate.

In the context of these ongoing attacks that the ancient Assyrian Christian community has been exposed to, particularly at the hands of IS, Archimandrite Emanuel Youkhana of the Assyrian Church of the East declared before a European parliament on human rights that “Assyrian Christians are facing a danger that threatens their existence in their historical regions.”

[4] According to International Christian Concern:

Fikere Mengistu’s family has owned their land for more than 90 years, but a mob of more than 20 Muslims in Kufanzik village remain intent on forcibly building a mosque on the Mengistu farm in defiance of the law. Muslims make up the religious majority in the area. They have destroyed his fence and have looted his possessions. In addition, the local police are complicit in these attempts to steal his land…. The authorities are letting it happen. In the past, he has faced threats from local police officers, has been forced to pay bribes, and has been imprisoned simply because he is a Christian.

[5] For example, when the Copts were having a serious council meeting with government officials about the possibility of building a church, one of the authorities actually contacted the Islamic sheikhs of the village asking whether they “stand with the Coptic church or with the State?” If the latter, each Muslim household was instructed to send one family member to protest against the proposed building of a church — so that security can then point to the mob and, as usual, just tell the Copts, “Sorry, no can do.”

Other times, State Security is complicit: Male and female Christian minors — currently 21 from just Minya alone, said the Coptic leader — are habitually abducted by surrounding Muslims. At the moment, the youngest Christian girl abducted had just started elementary school. Whenever any of these attacks occur, Copts, working with the church, prepare bundles of documents, including photos and other verifications, incriminating the culprits. These then are placed into the hands of top officials, to make sure they don’t get “lost” or “misplaced” by underlings. The bishop named many of these top people — at no small risk to himself — and said he even put such proofs and documents into the hands of the Director of Intelligence himself. “Absolutely nothing was done,” said the despondent Christian.

He discussed the difficulties that Copts encounter whenever they want to build a church — due to their dearth, some of the current churches serve tens of thousands of Christians — or even make simple repairs. By way of example, he explained how the Virgin Mary Church in Safaniya village has no bathrooms or running water. Christians “tried time and time again to get approval to build bathrooms, to no avail.” The bishop lamented how elderly and sick people sometimes urinate on themselves during service, while mothers must change their crying babies’ diapers right on the pews.

In response, authorities told the bishop to “Go and ask the Muslims of your region if they will approve the building of a church, or bathroom, or anything — and if they do, so will we.”

It should be noted that Islamic law specifically bans the construction or repair of churches.

Clearly frustrated, the bishop added: “We as Copts are human beings. And envy takes us when we see our Muslim brothers build mosques where they will, how they will, at any place and at any time. And the State helps them! But as for us, we cannot build anything and that which is already open is being closed…. We, the Copts, are citizens with rights; and we see Muslims get whatever they want, while we are always prevented.”

The Coptic bishop also said that sometimes Christians are punished whenever they go and “bother” authorities about their treatment. For example, when a Coptic delegation went to make a formal complaint, one of them was immediately kidnapped. His kidnappers demanded and received 120,000 Egyptian pounds for his release. Police were notified — even told where the exchange of money for hostage was to take place — but did absolutely nothing. The bishop referred to this incident as a “punishment” while Dr. Roman, the Coptic hostess, called Minya, Egypt a “State of Retribution” against those Copts who dare refuse to suffer quietly,” adding, “Al-Minya is apparently not an Egyptian province; it is governed by ISIS.”

Finally, Bishop Agathon made clear the despondency he and the average Christian in Egypt feel, repeatedly saying that, no matter which official they talk to, “nothing will change.” If anything, the plight of Egypt’s Christians has gone “from bad to worse,” said the bishop: “We hear beautiful words but no solution.”

Dr. Roman concluded by imploring Egyptian President Sisi, saying: “I’ve said it before: President Sisi is very meticulous and aware of the nation’s issues. Why, then, is it that the Coptic plight in Minya is being ignored? Why is he turning a blind eye toward it?”

Bishop Agathon concluded by saying that “Copts are between a state anvil and aggressor hammers,” meaning that, the state serves only to keep its Christian citizens in place while Islamic radicals pound away at them.

ISLAMABAD: December 25th is a public holiday, but it is in the memory of Mohammad Ali Jinnah, the founder of the country, not for the celebrations of Christmas. Pakistan has a population over 180 million people and there are around 20 million Christians. Although there [has not been a] census in the country for many years, this is estimated figure given by different Christian organization and churches around. Most of Christians living in [Pakistan] are quite poor. At Christian festivals, like Christmas and Easter, a big procession takes place like in Lahore, Karachi and Rawalpindi. Before and during Advent, spiritual seminars take place to help people to prepare for Christmas. In many Christian areas, carol singing is performed by various groups. They go from house to house singing carols and in return the family offers something to the choir. Mostly the money collected from such carols is used for charity works or is given to the church. But this trend is gradually fading now due to the wave of terrorism in the country for the last decade.

Christmas is not being celebrated in Pakistan like, in EU or other Christian countries. Especially, when there is a Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) (a political party) come into power. Most of the Pakistani Christians believe that the PML-N mind set is pro-Taliban and they [can] hardly bear Pakistani Christians. And this year they proved it, the government didn’t announce any public holiday for Christians. There remained gas and electricity load shedding schedule in its routine. It means Christians of the country enjoyed Christmas with gas and electricity. On the other hand, a special announcement is being made by the government and special [holiday] packages on Eid ul Fiter [or Fitr – in Pakistan: HERE and HERE] and Eid ul Uzha [or Azha or Adha] (Muslim’s festivals) [are] announced usually. The authorities gave another indication of being second class citizens [i.e. dhimmis] and showed their discriminatory attitude toward Christians of the country.

Anyway, in the big Christians areas, each house is decorated and has a star on the roof. Christians also sometimes exchange Christmas cakes. Churches are packed for midnight or vigil mass services. After the vigil-mass, in some places there are fireworks which start Christmas celebrations. People wear their best and colorful clothes. Some people dance, exchange gifts and enjoy the special night. But this Christmas is embraced in certain parts of Pakistani society, especially among the wealthy and educated. Paradoxically, the country is also seeing an uptick in violence against Christians as some use the country’s controversial “Blasphemy law” to marginalize and oppress their non-Muslim countrymen.

Not everyone is deprived of an opulent holiday feast when it comes to Christmas dinner in Pakistan. The menu reads as if an especially corpulent Santa had [been] providing dinner. Brie and cranberry parcels, roast turkey, gravy, beef, stuffing and mushroom roulade. Spiced pumpkin cheesecake and “Christmas Pie Sundae” complete with orange, almond and whisky sauce cap off dinner for well-connected diplomats and privileged society.

This privileged society simply forget their Christian brothers, [who have] no decorations, no best and colorful clothes. The stench from overflowing half-frozen sewers permeates the small neighborhoods. As a nation, we wear our emotions on our sleeve, given to sudden declarations that fizzle out like the ocean surf. Our tragedies forgotten before the wounds have sealed, we continue desensitized.
Be Blessed,

Jizya Opposition to halal is irrational, is it?

Imposing jizya in Australia - Morning Mail photo

I am a member of the Facebook Group Stop Islam. Another member there found a Bret Harte article at the Facebook Group Australophobia. Just to be clear I am an American and not Australian; nonetheless there is a growing controversy in the Land Down Under that could creep its way into the USA. That Controversy is centered on legally forcing food packing or distribution companies to pay a fee to a certified Muslim who then gives the “halal” stamp of approval that notifies Muslims that the food is certified A-OK to consume according to Sharia. IN ESSENCE this would force various Aussie companies to pay the jizya tax for Muslim certification in which the fees would trickle into some Muslim theopolitical agenda (whether that be Mosque building, Muslim charity [Can you say terrorist funding?] and so on).

Australia’s controversy today will probably be America’s controversy tomorrow. I mean Radical Muslims are preaching in the National Cathedral in Washington DC.

My first inkling was to cross post this directly from Stop Islam; however it became apparent to me that the Facebook postings were without Mr. Harte’s links he included in his original post. So thanks to the old Google search engine I found a version at an Aussie location called Morning Mail dated 11/13/14. I included the original links from there. Take note that the Stop Islam version also has some of the Morning Mail comments at the end of the post. Those comments are currently longer than the Stop Islam version. I am not providing the comment links from the original. Also note the English grammar of the Aussies is similar to the British hence there are some spelling deviations from the grammar rules found in America.

Jizya Opposition to halal is irrational, is it?

The craven halal-paying companies are striking back. Australians who oppose halal are prejudiced, ignorant, misinformed, extremists and inspired by hate, they say.

The Dairy Farmers Association talks of “irrational bullying campaigns” and urges members to go ahead and pay the halal levy.

So does South Australia’s Investment and Trade Minister, Martin Hamilton-Smith. He urged local exporters to “keep working” with the multi-million-dollar Middle Eastern market. “I encourage South Australian exporters to put enterprise and job opportunities ahead of the extreme views of a minority… prejudice has no place in Australia.”

And as for the cloth-head halal supporter, Darren Chester MP of the Nationals, he is more than a supporter of it, he is an apologist for it. In his own words, “The decision by a food company to meet halal requirements is a voluntary decision.” What? All these Australian companies suddenly voluntarily agreed to pay a religious tax? Chester is either pig-ignorant or is deliberately misinforming those who write to him.

So are Australians prejudiced, ignorant, misinformed, hate-inspired extremists?

Let’s start with the Jizya.

Muhammad very clearly established that people of other religions have to pay a tax – the jizya – to Muslims as a reminder of their inferior status.

It is specifically laid down in the Muslim Holy Book: “Fight those who believe not in Allah… until they pay the Jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued.” Qur’an (9:29)

This is not some out-of-date old notion from the 8th century. The jizya is commanded by Allah himself. It is an obligation on all Muslims. But it is an obligation which actually coins money for them and as such one which has been enthusiastically endorsed by them.

The extortion has been followed through the centuries and was a part of the brutal Ottoman rule over Christians, Jews and others. The Serbs of Europe often had to hand over their children to satisfy the collector of the jizya. The children were converted to Islam and trained in jihad as warriors (Janissaries [Link]). This was the Devşirme [Link and Link] system.

In India, well into the 17th century, Muslim jizya collectors would even take the wives and children of impoverished Hindus and sell them into slavery for the jizya requirement.

This is why Islamic purists such as Hamas and the Taliban wish to reinstate the jizya.

The Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt have it as part of their current policy that Christians must pay a jizya and an Egyptian cleric on al-Hafaz TV said in 2013 that America that Muslims should demand more money as jizya from the Americans so that, in his words, “we can leave them alone.”

The notorious British Muslim preacher, Anjem Choudary, points out that “the normal situation is for [Muslims] to take money from the kuffar” (kuffars are non-muslims and is a term of contempt.) This cookie, by the way has been associated with around 20% of all convicted terrorism cases in the UK over the past 10 years, says he wants a passport to join ISIS, according to The Times.

The first thing ISIS does right now is impose jizya. The rounding up of women and selling them in the markets is one way how they collect the jizya. It is sanctioned by the ISIS Mullahs. Hamas has the same idea.

So the obligation is current, and it is no grand leap to see the halal levy as one way the jizya is paid. Under a masquerade of the thinnest kind a certifier decides that no pig fat was used anywhere in the production. They even certify water!

Muslims make no bones about it. Halal certification is a gold mine. They use this very phrase – a gold mine – in the Indonesian Jakarta Post. [Click on this link for a detailed look at Muslim enforcement of halal]

Now, it really does not matter how the money collected is disbursed – the very fact that it is collected at all is Australian’s acceptance of an inferior status to Muslims. This is why it is collected – to make Australians feel subdued At present, in Australia, it supposedly goes to charity.

Let’s assume it does.

What charity?

What are the objects of Muslim charity? Well, laid down as top of the list of charitable objects is building mosques. It is called Waqf.

Is that clear enough?

The money that Australian companies pays to Muslims as halal certification is used for the building of mosques.

And on the list of charitable objects is the support of jihad warriors.

Nowhere on the list is any non-Muslim objective, not one cent goes to the Royal Blind Society or the RSPCA or Vinnies [St. Vincent de Paul Society]. It is raised from Australian citizens to go to Muslim-only causes.

And in spite of all the poppycock talked about inspection by government authorities – there is none.

No Australian with an ounce of pride would pay the halal extortion.

But many Australian companies have no sense of national pride or honour; they are gutless appeasers of Islam following a buck. Literally they sell Australia’s soul for their profit.

And so too, do the ‘economic rationalists’ in Canberra.

* “During a roundtable discussion on U.S. and foreign aid to Egypt, an Islamic cleric, clearly of the Salafi bent—he had their trademark mustache-less-beard—insisted that the U.S. must be treated contemptuously, like a downtrodden dhimmi, or conquered infidel; that Egypt must make the U.S. conform to its own demands; and that, then, all the money the U.S. offers to Egypt in foreign aid can be taken as rightfully earned jizya.”

One thing I do know is that we are not the minority. If we were, what we say would be gospel, that is how this country works now.

Ordinary real Australians are being sold out to Islam by ignorant politicians and arrogant un-Australian companies all in the name of a buck. Even though the Islamics themselves say of the ‘Zakat’ (tax):

6. “Fi sabi `Lillah. Those who are fighting in the Cause of Allah, e.g., the Mujahideen.”

(Support terrorism?)

7. “Ibn as’Sabil. The wayfarer; Muslim travelers who need assistance while on a journey.”

(Pay fares of those going to join ISIS in Iraq?)

Those running these companies aren’t able to programme their one brain cell to recognise that aiding and abetting Islamic terrorise is treason and apparently the government doesn’t want to know about it either.

This national disgrace is about more than just building jihadist training centres (Mosques). It is about supporting Sharia with plans to introduce it into Australia as soon as they have the numbers here to pull it off.

In the words of an leading Mullah, “At a meeting of the Islamic Global Halal Congress held in Pakistan, the former Grand Mufti of Bosnia, Mustafa Ceric called upon all Muslims to, “Conquer the world through the Halal movement, as Halal means pure and hygienic and the non-Muslim world will have no choice but to accept it.” He went on to say, “The Halal certification movement has the strength to lead Muslims to rule the global economy, as food and other services are the basic need of every human being”.

Wake up Australia and boycott halal products. Go to www.halalchoices.com.au and become informed about the realities of this Islamic extortion racket that you are paying for.

About Morning Mail’s author Bret Harte:

Morning Mail does not want your real name or personal details as pen-names are the standard. Content character, not personal character. For a pen-name pick a quality, dead, non-Australian author. Jack London, Lord Byron, Bret Harte, Mary Shelley, Charlotte Bronte or let MM pick one. This provides a consistent look, and gives a spurious air of intellectualism to Morning Mail. Rise up for ‘A Cause’

Shadrach, Meshach, Abednego & Christ

We Americans hear most about the atrocities against Christians committed by the ISIS terrorists in the conflict ablaze in the areas of Iraq and Syria. But you have to understand that wherever Christians live in a Muslim dominated nation they are persecuted often in some of the most barbaric ways reminiscent of Early Christianity when the Roman Empire at various time tried to stamp the Christian faith until Constantine the Great embrace it.

Shamim Masih writes about an incident that in America was the Mid-term election. In Pakistan two Christians – a couple – tried to get released from their bondage labor agreement at a brick kiln because the lady was pregnant with their fourth child. The Muslim owner demanded an insurmountable amount of Pakistan Rupees for her release. When push came to shove the Muslim owner decided to be vindictive and a blasphemy accusation was broadcast about them in a Muslim village. The Muslims came out as a mob beat, stripped them for humiliation and tossed them alive into the burning kiln oven.

Shahzad Masih and Shama Bibi - Christians burned alive Pakistan

Sijjad Masih and Saima Bibi

ISLAMABAD: On November 04, 2014, it was bright sunny day in Pakistan, and Shia Muslims were mourning over the incident [that] happened hundreds years ago in Karbala. Due to 10th Muharram event, mobile service was off in the major cities of the country and thus internet was not working as well in our surroundings. In the morning, my friend Sohail Johnson told me on the phone that a mob attacked a Christian couple and burnt their bodies at a brick kiln where they worked. Due to the distortion in the line, I could not hear it clearly but I perceived that the poor Christian couple met a terrible end. Later I got the detailed story. According to details, a Christian married couple, Sijjad Masih (the name mentioned in the FIR) and his wife Saima Bibi (nick name Shama) were beaten to within an inch of their lives and then burnt alive in an oven of a brick kiln. Think of it, all is done in the name of Islam. A false charge of blasphemy was leveled against the couple in what was really a money dispute. The Muslim owner of brick kiln exacted revenge on the non-Muslims by leveling false charges, and the punishments are savage [as in extralegal rather than rule of law].

To me it is not a new story, it has been happening to Christians for many years. And it reminds us of the Gojra incident. The laws of Sharia are used to exact revenge against religious minorities. We don’t as yet know, in the absence of any judicial process, if they were guilty of any offence at all. We do know that blasphemy laws in the country have been frequently misused. It is the same practice, they did [it] in 2009 in Gojra, and [the] seven family members [who] were burnt alive. It is a systematic approach to wipe out the minorities from the Islamic State of Pakistan. First they accuse them of blasphemy by accusing them of desecrating [the] Quran and then killing them. This has been their [Sunni Muslim] long time approach and the World still watches.

The controversial blasphemy laws were formulated in the 1980s during General Zia-ul-Haq’s martial law regime. A conviction or merely an accusation of blasphemy can put one’s life in danger. Even if one is acquitted the fear of death at the hands of vigilantes remains. Even the courts and legislators think twice before dwelling into the sensitivities of these issues.

Around 1300 people have been charged under the stringent blasphemy laws of Pakistan between 1986 until 2014. And according to sources, more than 50 people accused of blasphemy were killed before their respective trials were over. There are 14 people, who were sentenced to death and are waiting on death row and 19 were granted a life sentence. However, the death sentence has never been implemented. Prior to 1986, only 14 cases pertaining to blasphemy were reported.

Blasphemy is a very sensitive subject in [our] country, with even unproven allegations often prompting mob violence. Anyone convicted, or even just accused, risks a violent and bloody death at the hands of vigilantes. In the recent outrageous act in Check No. 59 [i.e. the live burning of Sijjad Masih and Saima Bibi], Sohail Johnson, Chairman, Sharing Life Ministry (SLMP), reached on the spot at once with his team and [expedited] his job, arguing with the officials [even] in registering [the] first investigating report (FIR), collecting ash and body parts of the deceased. He helped to take them and buried them in their parent village Clarkabad [Link]. A few [of the] Christian’s political figures were seen there as well.

Tahir Naveed Chaudhry chairman Pakistan Minority Alliance (PMA) reached there and staged a protest rally on second day of the incident.

Albert David chairman Pakistan United Christian Movement (PUCM) denounced the increasing victimization of religious minorities. He demanded to take strict and immediate action against the people involved in the killing of a Christian couple. He warns the government if the victimization continues people will consider other options.

Sajid Ishaq demanded the government to punish the people who misuse this law. He said the State should made substantial efforts to protect minorities from being victimization by the miscreants. Chief of Pakistani Interfaith League (PIL) declared this incident another example of biased behavior and prejudiced mind sets.

Basharat Khokhar, a human right activist declared this brutal killing an inhuman action. He demanded the authority to punish the culprits to set an example for others. There is not rule of law and minorities especially Christians are targeted time to time, he added.

Some other Christian activists in and outside the country have showed their deep concern about the recent incident. Few political and religious figures were also seen in few pictures. All of these people are doing their job but much require to be done. I think, correctly said Albert David that somehow we are increasingly becoming vulnerable to the discriminatory laws and mob violence. And nobody knows who will be the next victim of this law. The sward is hanging on. We need to step forward and take action against this brutality. Enough is enough; all Christian leadership outside the government, should demand the Christian parliamentarians to stand with the community and demand the government to re-visit this law. I tell you if you have not taken solid step to stop them, tomorrow will be your turn. Look, Salman Taseer, Ex-Governor Punjab and Shahbaz Bhatti were ruthlessly murdered in the capital. And the murderer of Salman Taseer lives comfortably in a special cell at Rawalpindi’s Adiayla Jail.

Christians of the country should demand the government to bring amendments in this law and until then should stop its application. U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom has already demanded to stop implementation of blasphemy laws until reforms.

Be Blessed,

Shamim Masih

Christian Struggle to Keep Faith

Muslim Master over non-Muslim Dhimmi

Shamim sent this Christian activist editorial a few days ago. Due to other projects I am a bit behind in reading my email which includes writers and reporters submitting articles to this blog.

Due to finding out that Pakistani Christian Asia Bibi having yet another appeal from a death sentence due to a Blasphemy Law conviction, this editorial is extremely apropos. There are Muslim nations with a larger population of Christians than Pakistan and so the very limited American media coverage of Christian persecution almost always ignores the horrendous treatment of Christians in Pakistan. I would hazard to guess that Christians in Pakistan as a whole receive worse treatment than other Christians in Muslim dominated nations if for no other reason than being treated in a marginalized manner in the literalist Islamic tradition of dhimmitude.

Christian Struggle to Keep Faith

ISLAMABAD: Yaqoob Masih, 50, begins his day before sunrise. He has been a Rawalpindi Development Authority – RDA employee for around the last 15 years. He and his wife rarely make [enough] to cover their residence and to deal with [the] livings for their 5 children.

Yaqoob Masih – Pakistani Christian Sanitation Worker

Pushing an overloaded wheelbarrow and gasping for breath, this individual rings a single doorbell [after another and] following one more to recover almost any [kind of] crap during the day. He separates plastic bottles, cardboards, material bits and other recyclable stuff in various chambers and bags dangling from his trolley.

He has not enrolled his children in school, the eldest [child] is free to look after the younger ones while both parents are away at work. He feels extremely guilty about not being able to send his children to school.  He said with a melancholy look on his tired face that sometimes I am asked to work on Sundays due to [the] shortage of sanitary workers but he cannot afford to leave his job.

Pakistan came into being as a homeland for Muslims, at the time of partition, most of the Hindus fled to India. A small remnant stayed on here, hoping to continue to live peacefully as before. But the Christians remained here by their own will. But now they become isolated and neglected in [the] Muslims’ country. Coming mainly from the lowest strata of the social order, they have been increasingly marginalized and isolated, their privileges withdrawn. A devastating blow was struck when the government nationalized many of the Christian colleges and schools in early 70s. Thus Christians were left with few opportunities for education or progress in the modern world.

A minority in a Muslim homeland, they’re demonized and barred from equal opportunities. Although no official statistics are available but half of the Christians in Pakistan are below the age of [their] 20s and most of them have no access to an education. The pressure of extreme poverty forces many families to send their children to work to bring in any small amount of money to feed the family. Children, some even below the age of 10, work with their parents in the brick kilns and other parental jobs. Pakistani Christians of this segment are open to severe exploitation, and many end up unemployed, become drug addicts or are abused in the sex trade and start illegal alcohol selling. Many Christians live in villages or in city slums, where they live together largely for their own security. Thus the environment becomes extremely unsafe and socially hazardous. The growing menace of drug abuse has rendered the streets of slums extremely vulnerable for growing children.

Minorities should not be limited to sanitary duties; they deserve to be given equal rights and proportionate employment in various government and semi-government departments. They have been facing forced conversions, arson attacks, enforced displacements, blasphemy allegations, attacks on worship places and killings at the hands of religious extremists for many years. And still Pakistani children are taught that Jews are tightfisted moneylenders and Christian’s vengeful conquerors – all in textbooks approved by the administration. There are blasphemy laws, which carry a penalty of life imprisonment and even death – often without evidence or penalty for false accusations. We now have military generals who are Christian. Still, minority religions face inordinate dangers.

Be Blessed,
