Since Senator Harry Reid of Nevada is acting as a surrogate for President Liar-in-Chief in attacking Mitt Romney, you should know Harry & Son Reid are emerging as the corrupt politician/business operators in the State of Nevada.
Laura J. Alcorn of America Conservative 2 Conservative (AC2C) posted an expose on the Reids showing their corruption with a series cross posts from news outlets. I am posting the first two from her AC2C post from the original sources. You can read Alcorn’s entire post HERE.
Harry Reid Helps Chinese Solar Firm Represented By His Son
By Fox Nation
August 06, 2012
Las Vegas Review-Journal reported:
Now Reid is pushing for a Chinese company he played a key role in recruiting to Nevada, ENN Mojave Energy LLC. The company plans a billion-dollar solar energy manufacturing and generating plant near Laughlin, but an ambitious development schedule is being threatened by a lack of green power customers.
Steve Tetreault quoted Reid in Tuesday’s Review-Journal saying the project “would start tomorrow if NV Energy would purchase the power,” but the company “has not been willing to work on this and that’s such a shame.”
Reid added: “NV Energy is a regulated monopoly. They control 95 percent of all the electricity that is produced in Nevada and they should go along with this.”
They’re not, at least not yet.
And there are some legitimate reasons: Power costs are passed directly to consumers, and green energy currently costs more than power generated by coal-fired or natural-gas burning plants. State law mandates NV Energy buy power as cheaply as possible, except when it’s required to buy more-expensive green energy to meet state-mandated quotas. But the more green energy you buy, the higher bills climb.
NV Energy has already met its quota, and the PUC has already turned the company down when it proposed contracts that would have exceeded quotas. And when the company does buy power – which it plans to do next in 2014 – it does so by analyzing competitive bids.
Reid says those weak excuses. He said in that April interview that if “NV Energy wanted to do more with renewable energy, they could.”
There’s another factor, however, one more personal to Reid: His son, Rory Reid, is one of the attorneys for the ENN Mojave Energy project. A Reid spokeswoman said the senator did not suggest Reid’s firm – Lionel, Sawyer & Collins – to ENN, nor has the elder Reid spoken to this son about the deal.
Harry Reid And Son Called Crooks By Their Own Hometown Paper

Dingy Harry Reid has a problem. His hometown paper, the Las Vegas Review-Journal (LVRJ) is calling him out for his latest criminal caper. Reid has been trying to help his son Emaciated Rory steal from us and his scheme has been exposed by the LVRJ. Rory is a slimy lawyer who is trying to use Harry’s influence to strong-arm the state of Nevada, its main electric power supplier and the federal government to line their pockets with phony “green job” money.
The Reid family business is political corruption. Like any patriarch Harry Reid is trying to use his family business to help one of his sons.
In 2010 when the SEIU was stealing an election to keep Dingy Harry in office, Rory who was “running” for Governor of Nevada was so hopeless (he lost by 12 points) not even the Democrat’s voter fraud specialists could help him. So what could Harry Reid do?
Rory who is so emaciated looking he could pass as Harry’s father, needed a way to steal the “real money” Democrat Party corruption can give him. Harry is using the power of his office as the Senate Majority Leader to harass and maybe even destroy Nevada Energy (NV Energy) the main supplier of power for the state to help a Chinese “green energy” client of Rory’s law firm.
Rory is a spokesman for the company which is trying to gain a foothold in Nevada. That “green energy” is a total fake and nothing more than a way to steal from the federal treasury means nothing to either man.
Because they are treacherous Democrats neither Dingy Harry nor Emaciated Rory Reid feel the slightest hesitation to help a Communist country destroy an American company, even one in their own home state.
Hiding behind phony excuses that NV Energy “could do more with renewable energy…” Reid blows off critics and insults us by insisting he and his emaciated son have never spoken about this issue. The LVRJ says Harry Reid deserves an ethics complaint for his persistent efforts to damage NV Energy, and who could argue otherwise? He is clearly acting in the best interest of his son and himself not the people who “elected” him.
While the disinfectant that is sunlight will keep this scheme from working – partly because Reid has raised the issue of his own ethics by attacking Mitt Romney – when we finally rid ourselves of Reid’s control of our Senate we must remember this and take whatever action is available to us. We must deliver justice to Harry Reid.

I received an email from AC2C friend CJ pertaining to Reverend Jeremiah Wright being interviewed by Edward Klein. Wright had told Klein in that interview that Barack Hussein Obama had offered him $150,000 to hold back from any incendiary preaching until after the 2008 election.
I have already listened to Liberal pundits that have brushed of these revelations as insignificant. I have heard Left Wing pundits say things ranging from Americans don’t care about the Obama-Wright relationship to Conservatives should keep their hands off of Obama’s personal faith.
As to Americans “don’t care,” this is an insinuation that American voters are stupid and wouldn’t care that Obama was deceptive in his 2008 campaign to win the Presidency. As to keep your hands off of Obama’s personal faith, that is a load of crap as Leftist are attacking Mormonism’s Family Values track record which for example would be against abortion and homosexual sin. It is a load of crap to talk about Romney’s Mormonism and ignore Obama’s association with Jew-hating Black Supremacists like Wright, Farrakhan and Pro-Palestinian Israel-haters.
Now I am not a big fan of Romney’s Mormonism; however my disdain of Mormonism has nothing to do with Family Values. My disdain is due to my belief that Mormonism is a Gnostic-Christian cult spin-off from legitimate Christianity. Criticizing Romney’s faith but giving Obama’s odd secrecy of his personal faith is the height of Leftist hypocrisy!
CJ points to a Sean Hannity radio interview with Edward Klein and to an American Thinker article by Ed Lasky. The Hannity-Klein interview focused on the bribe issue between Obama representatives and Jeremiah Wright. Lasky’s book review focused on some of the damning personality traits of Obama exposed in Klein’s book “The Amateur”.
Here is some of the Jeremiah Wright wording courtesy of Hot Air:
In his on-the-record interview with Klein, Wright claims that an Obama ally offered him $150,000 to keep his mouth shut and stop preaching until after the election, in excerpts published by the New York Post today:
‘Man, the media ate me alive,” Wright told me when we met in his office at Chicago’s Kwame Nkrumah Academy. “After the media went ballistic on me, I received an e-mail offering me money not to preach at all until the November presidential election.”
“Who sent the e-mail?” I asked Wright.
“It was from one of Barack’s closest friends.”
“He offered you money?”
“Not directly,” Wright said. “He sent the offer to one of the members of the church, who sent it to me.”
“How much money did he offer you?”
“One hundred and fifty thousand dollars,” Wright said.
According to Wright, Obama met personally with his then-pastor to ask him to do the same, although Obama apparently didn’t offer money for his silence. Wright’s version of the conversation makes it clear that Obama knew very well what his pastor had preached from the pulpit, and what he was likely to do once attention focused on him:
“And one of the first things Barack said was, ‘I really wish you wouldn’t do any more public speaking until after the November election.’ He knew I had some speaking engagements lined up, and he said, ‘I wish you wouldn’t speak. It’s gonna hurt the campaign if you do that.’
“And what did you say?” I asked. “I said, ‘I don’t see it that way. And anyway, how am I supposed to support my family?’ And he said, ‘Well, I wish you wouldn’t speak in public. The press is gonna eat you alive.’
“Barack said, ‘I’m sorry you don’t see it the way I do. Do you know what your problem is?’ And I said, ‘No, what’s my problem?’ And he said, ‘You have to tell the truth.’ I said, ‘That’s a good problem to have. That’s a good problem for all preachers to have. That’s why I could never be a politician.’ (Jeremiah Wright claims Obama ally offered $150,000 bribe in 2008 to shut up; by Ed Morrissey; Hot Air, 5/13/12 – READ ENTIRE POST)
The big question is: Will the mainstream media step in to report this legitimate news story and force Obama to do more than call Wright a liar? I am certain Obama will paint Wright as bathing in sour grapes. What I want to know is Obama willing to sue Wright for defamation? If not, then Obama is the liar. BUT we all know Obama is a liar.
Below is CJ’s post at AC2C which is an amalgamation a Theodore’s World post of the Hannity-Klein radio interview and Ed Lasky’s American Thinker article. I am to going to take the editorial liberty to also include Wild Thing’s Theodore’s World comment not included in CJ’s post.

Rev. Jeremiah Wright Says of Obama, “I made it Comfortable for Him to Accept Christianity without having to Renounce His Islamic Background”
Here is audio of Edward Klein, author of “The Amateur,” talking with Sean Hannity about his new book and his interview with Rev. Jeremiah Wright. Klein interviewed Wright for more than three hours for the book, and says he has much of it on tape.
Among other things, he said Wright is “fulminating” at Obama for having “thrown him under the bus” back in 2008 when Wright’s “Godd*mn America” sermon came out. Klein reports that Wright told him that he could not say he “converted” Obama to Christianity, but that “I made it comfortable for him to accept Christianity without having to renounce his Islamic background.” http://www.theodoresworld.net/archives/2012/05/rev_jeremiah_wright_says_of_ob.html
[Wild Thing's comment.......
Like Tom says OBama is a Muslim.
The thing is we have learned that with Isalm (sic) Obama or anyone would be threatened and very possibly taken out if they were Muslim and turned away from their beliefs. They have done it enough times that we should believe them.
IMO Obama would have a very tuff time if he was ever really vetted to prove he was NOT a Muslim. His actions, associations, his administration that is heavy with Muslims and so many things prove it along with what this Rev. Wright has said...imo. ]

The Amateur: Barack Obama in the White House
By Ed Lasky
Edward Klein’s new book on Barack Obama, The Amateur: Barack Obama in the White House, is a withering portrayal of a radical adrift, in over his head, drowning in his own incompetency — while being weighed down by a small circle of “advisers” who are compounding the problem of the Amateur in the White House.
Klein’s book begins with a talisman-like quote uttered by Barack Obama when his recently appointed Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner tried to boost Obama’s ego by telling him, “Your legacy is going to be preventing the second Great Depression.” To which Barack Obama responded, “That’s not enough for me.”
As all of America knows by now, Obama has aggressively sought to “fundamentally transform” America — one of the few promises he has kept from the days of 2008. Five trillion dollars of borrowing, ObamaCare passed over the objections of the majority of Americans through legislative legerdemain and special deals made with resistant politicians, failed stimulus, green programs failing left and right as taxpayers are left holding the bag, a recovery that is the most anemic on record, an America that has been sundered by the man who promises to unite us, America weaker abroad and at home — yes, America has been fundamentally transformed. Mission Accomplished.
But how and why did Obama succeed in such a catastrophic way? That is the question that Klein successfully answers in his extremely readable and enjoyable book, with enough spicy details to satisfy the craving of anyone interested in how President Obama and those closest to him have driven us to the condition we find ourselves in as we approach November.
One of the motifs that runs throughout the book is Barack Obama’s sheer level of incompetency. He has the fatal conceit of many politicians: an overweening ego. That may be a prerequisite for politicians and leaders, but when it is unleavened by a willingness to consider the views of others, it becomes a fatal conceit. And Obama has that trait in abundance.
Stories tumble out that reveal a man who believes he is all but omniscient — unwilling to give any credence to the views of others (especially but not limited to those across the aisle). Experts in management are interviewed who point out that he lacks essential qualities of leadership. Indeed, the book gets its title from an outburst from Bill Clinton, who was trying to encourage Hillary to take on Obama in the Democratic primary of 2012:
Obama doesn’t know how to be president. He doesn’t know how the world works. He’s incompetent. He’s…he’s…Barack Obama’s an amateur.
But Klein does not rest there. He delves into associates from Obama’s career in Cook County politics, his stint as a state senator, and his rise to the United States Senate. There is a common pattern: Obama likes to campaign, but once he is elected and actually starts working, his interest flags, and he starts looking for the next “big thing” — electorally speaking. He had few if any accomplishments or professional standing in any of his previous positions. Even when he served as a lecturer at the University of Chicago Law School, he avoided any encounters with other faculty who enjoyed discussing the law. His reluctance to engage them is revealing in and of itself, suggesting he had a reason for his lack of confidence.
His disdain toward working with others is manifest. He has gained a reputation over the last few years as being cold and distant, refusing to engage, as have other presidents, in the give-and-take of politics, in the social niceties that help grease the wheels in Washington. Liberal Washington Post columnist Richard Cohen recently advised him to read Robert Caro’s newest volume on the life of Lyndon Johnson as a primer on how to be president. Johnson, of course, was a master at pulling levers of power, but he also knew how to persuade individual politicians on both sides of the aisle to work with him on legislation. But, of course, LBJ also had the common touch and, having risen from humble beginnings, never considered it beneath him to work with those underneath him. Not so Barack Obama. He complained to foreign leaders that he had to waste time talking with “congressmen from Palookaville.” At another time, he switched locales and said he was tired of dealing with people from “Podunk.”
His campaign trail comments regarding small-town America as being populated by “bitter” people who cling to guns and Bibles was not a one-off. They are reflective of his views.
But the high and the mighty also come in for the Obama treatment. Klein reveals dismay among former Obama supporters who feel they have been mistreated, maligned, and thrown under the bus. Obama’s most generous early donors have been all but ignored; early mentors in the black business community have been sidelined if not completely ditched; people don’t hear from him or his staff unless a fundraiser is coming up. But there is more: Caroline Kennedy is angry at the way she and her family were used for campaign purposes in 2008 and then summarily dismissed and stored away like so many movie props have been (the latter is my description).
Even Oprah Winfrey has been stiff-armed by the Obamas. According to the book, Oprah took a big risk in supporting Obama in 2008 and campaigning for Obama in Iowa, being a big boost in his campaign. The ratings for her show weakened significantly (and her new network has been a huge disappointment). But when she has tried to visit the White House, she has been all but treated as persona non grata. Apparently, Michelle Obama is a possessive person who fears the influence Oprah may have over Barack Obama (more on this below). Oprah blames it on Michelle’s anti-obesity campaign. She is quoted as saying, “Michelle hates fat people and doesn’t want me waddling around the White House.” Klein digs up a quotation of Michelle Obama’s from a White House source that seems to confirm Oprah’s suspicion:
Oprah only wants to cash in using the White House as a backdrop for her show to perk up ratings. Oprah with her yo-yo dieting and huge girth, is a terrible role model. Kids will look at Oprah, who’s rich and famous and huge, and figure it’s okay to be fat.
Oprah, Caroline Kennedy, Pastor Jeremiah Wright (who merits a chapter), and Obama’s former long-time doctor (who feels Obama is distant and lacks feeling, passion, and humanity) all join a long list of people whom the Obamas have used, abused, and then cast aside once they moved into the White House.
A few have survived the winnowing process, of course. There is Michelle, who might be described as the living and real-life descendant of Lady Macbeth. The book provides some history of the early days between Barack and Michelle: marked by some tempests, yet also marked by Michelle’s overwhelming push for Barack to win power and wealth. Insiders are reluctant to tangle with the First Lady, and with good reason. Michelle, like her husband, has a proclivity to blame others for her husband’s failures. Former Press Secretary Robert Gibbs felt her sting when it was revealed that Michelle had complained about life in the White House to the then-first lady of France, Carla Bruni-Sarkozy. Gibbs acted to control the damage by arranging for the Élysée Palace to issue a denial.
But the response did not come quickly enough for Michelle, and she arranged for Valerie Jarrett — close to the Obamas for years, and who has an omnipresence in the White House that makes the unelected and unconfirmed czar issue seem trivial — to deliver a stern rebuke to Gibbs, who counter-attacked. Anyone heard from Robert Gibbs lately?
The role of Valerie Jarrett has prompted much speculation. As Edward Klein notes, she has a mouthful of a title – senior adviser and assistant to the president for intergovernmental affairs and public engagement — that “doesn’t begin to do justice to her unrivaled status in the White House.” Valerie Jarrett apparently has a role in most major decisions: she often appears in meetings the president has with major political leaders from Capitol Hill and with foreign leaders as well. She often stays behind to have private discussions with the president. Obama admitted that he ran every decision by her.
That is worrying since, as Klein notes, Jarrett’s own career is not one that would prepare her to assume such a prominent role. Hers is no rags-to-riches story that would give her the “chops” to have such a Svengali-like influence over the president of the United States. She was blessed with a wonderful set of advantages — descended from a highly regarded political family in Chicago. Jarrett was a force to be reckoned with in the Daley administration and then capitalized on her political connections to land a job heading up a real estate company in Chicago where she oversaw, among other developments, properties that under her company’s management degenerated into slums. Business leaders are aghast that she has such a powerful role in the White House. A donor is quoted as saying that not only is Valerie Jarrett a liability, but others in the White House concur with his views. Jarrett has butted heads with Rahm Emanuel, who felt that it was wrong to focus on passing ObamaCare when the economy and jobs should have been higher priorities.
Who won that match? Rahm returned to Chicago and became mayor in 2009.
The roles of Michelle Obama and Valerie Jarrett cannot be overstated. They are symptomatic of a larger problem in the White House decision-making process (one that I noted in “How Obama Makes Decisions“).
Barack Obama, to a greater extent than any modern president, refuses to listen to the views of others or consult with experts and advisers outside his own tight and constricted circle from Cook County. There are many revelations of his faulty decision making uncovered by Klein. Indeed, one of Jarrett’s roles is to shield Obama from dealing with people who don’t agree with him or who may say something that deflates his ego.
When Bill Daley (the chief of staff) realized that the contraception and abortifacient mandates of ObamaCare might offend Catholics, he arranged a meeting without Jarrett’s knowledge between Obama and New York then-Archbishop Timothy Dolan to deal with an issue that would offend many as violating the principle of religious freedom (as well as Catholic beliefs). Jarrett went to the president and vented her anger.
Anyone seen Bill Daley lately?
On issue after issue, President Obama remains his insular self, refusing to seek counsel or input from others with more experience.
Critics believe he has made a mess of foreign policy precisely because not only does he have a dearth of experience in this area, but because, under our system, foreign policy is one of the few areas where a president enjoys almost unlimited power. Thus, he is free to formulate his own agenda regardless of the views of others and the damage these policies cause.
When pro-Israel Americans met with Obama to discuss his actions toward Israel (that many, including myself, view as being counterproductive) he dismissed the ideas of Abe Foxman, head of the Anti-Defamation League, with the statement “you are absolutely wrong.” The president, who has no compunction telling people that they are not only wrong, but “absolutely wrong” in public, needs to start feeling some of the empathy he accuses Republicans of lacking. According to veteran journalist Richard Chesnoff, quoted in the book, “Obama’s problem in dealing with the Arab-Israeli conundrum” comes “from his one-man style and his inflated view of his own leadership talents[.] … [P]erhaps, even more egregiously, he seems to have an exaggerated sense of his own depth of understanding of the Middle East, which is simply not borne out by his background or experience.” There may be more to it than that to explain the pressure he has put on our one true ally in the Middle East, Israel. American Thinker published numerous articles in 2008 covering not only Pastor Jeremiah Wright, Junior’s views of Israel as an apartheid state, but Obama’s associations with anti-Israel Palestinians in Chicago, his own suspect language regarding Israel, and his close relationship with Samantha Power (now playing a key role on his National Security Council), who not only has a long anti-Israel history but also made an anti-Semitic remark that was smothered by the media in 2008. There were good reasons for the Los Angeles Times to run a column during the campaign that “Allies of Palestinians see a friend in Obama.”
Readers will thoroughly enjoy Klein’s book on Obama. There are substantive issues raised about Obama’s leadership abilities that are enhanced with interesting digressions regarding life inside ObamaWorld and how those dynamics effect decisions made from the Oval Office.
Klein concludes the book with doubt that Obama could ever change his approach toward governing and suspicion that his agenda is to impose a vast redistribution scheme upon America that has worked so well in the decaying and disintegrating European Union. He wonders if Republicans are up to the task of pointing out to the public the truth about Obama’s agenda, given the overwhelming media bias in favor of Barack Obama.
Klein’s book could serve as a roadmap for Republicans.

Mitt Romney seems to be the choice of establishment Republicans and his poll numbers seem to be consistent. I am one of those Christians that believe Mormonism is a cult hence I am very anti-Romney. Yep, that makes me a Mormonphobe.
My old buddy Tony Newbill sent me a link to an article posted in June 2011 that gives an old Mormonphobe like me some ammunition other than my dislike for the Mormon cult that should start Romneyphiles to rethink their thoughts on which they support.
Newbill had tipped me earlier that Romney’s so-called business expertise has a tainted history. This June article referred to me entitled, “The Romney/ Goldman Sachs Chronicles – Modern Day Robber Baron’s g[al]ore,” is chalk full of allegations that should be investigated. If even a hint of them are true, the allegations would turn out to be criminal. It seems that Republican Establishment people are willing to look the other way as the Democrats were in not vetting President Barack Hussein Obama in his secretive history and connections to Marxists who favored violence and to racists that hate whitey.
The article is posted at Daily Kos so I am not so surprised in the detail of the Romney hit. What I am surprised about is that there are so few stalwart Conservatives who distrust Romney’s Conservative bona fides that have failed to publicize these same allegations. Perhaps the reasoning in the failure is the sources that are anti-Romney are Leftist in origin. Hey! I never read the Daily Kos because of its Leftist nature; however this dirt needs to be opened up to prevent another secretive candidate from possibly attaining the White House. I have a problem exchanging a Center-Right corrupt President for a Left Wing corrupt President, don’t you?
At this point I am still on the Newt train. Perhaps this author – Laserhaas – writing for a Leftist Internet Journal is worth the read.
CBS and 60 Minutes utilized the investigative work of Peter Schweizer to nudge into the world of political corruption in Congress. That corruption is that Congressmen can use insider tips to enrich themselves and do so legally. If a private citizen utilized the same insider tips quite likely they would be in violation of the law and would face jail, fines or both.
Sarah Palin has been anti-government corruption her entire political career. Palin builds on the expose of 60 Minutes and Peter Schweizer to level her own accusation against Congress and Congressional member with a Wall Street Journal op-ed.
Palin is still stumping for a better America. Sadly she has removed herself from consideration for the GOP nomination to face President Barack Hussein Obama. Whoever wins the GOP nomination should consider Palin for the Vice President nomination because of what she stands for AND Palin is one heck of a campaigner and motivator.

I received an alert message from Team Sarah concerning Crony Capitalism. The alert centers on Peter Schweizer who was part of an exposé on 60 Minutes about Crony Capitalism. Here is an excerpt of the original email sent by Team Sarah (The link above is an updated message of the original email):
It seems that the rest of the media is finally paying attention to the crony capitalism drum that Governor Sarah Palin has been beating for quite some time. Tonight, 60 Minutes will air an episode that will feature Peter Schweizer, adviser to Governor Sarah Palin, and author of “Throw Them All Out”.
CBS news provides the following information on tonight’s show which will air at 7:00 p.m. Eastern:
Martha Stewart went to jail for it. Hedge fund honcho Raj Rajaratnam was fined $92 million and will go to jail for years for it. But members of Congress can do the same thing -use non-public information to make stock trades — and there’s no law against it. Steve Kroft reports on how America’s lawmakers can legally make tidy profits on information only they know, simply because they won’t pass a law against themselves. The report will be broadcast on Sunday, Nov. 13 at 7 p.m. ET/PT.
Among the revelations in Kroft’s report:
* Members of Congress have bought stock in companies while laws that could affect those companies were being debated in the House or Senate.
* At least one representative made significant stock purchases the day after he and other members of Congress attended a secret meeting in September 2008, where the Fed chair and the treasury secretary informed them of the imminent global economic meltdown. The meeting was so confidential that cell phones and other digital devices were confiscated before it began. (You can read the rest of the CBS article HERE)
There were several links relating to Crony Capitalism inherent in Congress (Dems & GOP) and the Executive Branch. The reports focus on Obama’s Administration of the Executive Branch but I would not be surprised that there has been Crony Capitalism among several Presidential Administrations over the years in the 20th and 21st centuries.
Just so we are all on the same page, let us examine briefly a definition of Crony Capitalism:
Crony capitalism is a term describing a capitalist economy in which success in business depends on close relationships between business people and government officials. It may be exhibited by favoritism in the distribution of legal permits, government grants, special tax breaks, and so forth.
Crony capitalism is believed to arise when political cronyism spills over into the business world; self-serving friendships and family ties between businessmen and the government influence the economy and society to the extent that it corrupts public-serving economic and political ideals. (Wikipedia)
The definition above seems to focus on the benefits of business from the favoritism of government. In most cases many of benefits if exposed quite probably are illegal for private citizens. Schweizer examines Crony Capitalism through the lenses of benefits for government individuals as noted earlier in Congress and the Executive Branch. In Congress’ case it is totally LEGAL for members of Congress to benefit from economic and stock information for personal enrichment monetarily. I am guessing the Obama Administration does not have the covering of a legal umbrella that will prevent investigations and arrests.
Crony Capitalism is a primary message that had been delivered by Sarah Palin in her Tea Party stumping over the past few years (too bad she opted out of GOP nomination). A good example of this is Sarah Palin herself as heard on Grizzly Coalition Action Report from Blog Talk Radio.
Peter Schweizer’s book, articles and news shows appearances are important because he is also getting coverage from the MSM. Schweizer’s coverage of Crony Capitalism gives strength for the existence of the Tea Party Movement (TPM) and TPM’s influence in the Republican Party to give the boot to politicians that insist on the old politics as usual thinking. One of the ways to get a hold of America’s economic woes is to make the rule of law apply to government just as much as to Joe Voter.
This one of the best essays I have ever read from Ari Bussel. Because of this here is a bit of information about Bussel that I have not updated in some time. As far as I know Bussel’s main project is writing for his website Post Cards from America – Post Cards from Israel. The website has a co-writer in Norma Zager.
Here is a bio-blip on Bussel and Zager from News Blaze:
In the series “Postcards from Israel,” Ari Bussel and Norma Zager invite readers throughout the world to join them as they present reports from Israel as seen by two sets of eyes: Bussel’s on the ground, Zager’s counter-point from home. Israel and the United States are inter-related – the two countries we hold dearest to our hearts – and so is this “point – counter-point” presentation that has, since 2008, become part of our lives.
From the writings of Bussel and Zager I have posted in the past it is apparent they are passionate for Israel. The point/counter-point thing in my opinion is a very thin line because both are so pro-Israel and both are Jews. I guess if I knew more about their public personas I might be able to distinguish some differences.
Below is a Bussel post sent to SlantRight.com that utilizes the moral/spiritual standards of Jews living in Israel as perhaps a potential reason for Israel’s demise. Bussel writes of a strong Israeli economy and military; however he surmises that political and economic corruption is rampant inside Israel. He touches on the “haves” and “have-nots” as well as secular Jews vs. religious Jews. Bussel compares Israel current inner state of existence to that of Israel’s past which led to the downfall of Israel, the divided Kingdoms of Israel and Judah and the Roman executed Diaspora of Jews in the first century AD.
This essay is powerful and thought provoking to the Jew first and to the Gentile: “Brotherly Love & Israel’s Redemption”.

Industrialization in America was good for America. When factories needed workers it attracted farmers, rural citizens and immigrants to urban areas to meet the need for production.
The problem with industrialization was that ownership and management were looking for the best way to optimize profits. As good as industrialization was for America’s free market economy it left a lot of room to ignore the needs and safety of employees. Increasingly employees of factories became known as laborers and workers. In the quest for optimized profits the workers were exploited to the full extent a human could experience working for pittance often in an unsafe working environment. Indeed a substantial amount of workers in factories were children working the same long hours as adults which was essentially from sunrise to sunset often with a seven day work week.
These workers were essentially regarded as a means to an end for Industrialists with the employees not well regarded. Hence when novel political ideas advanced by Fabianism and Marxism (Detail: Marxism Unmasked, Von Mises) began to be shared with uneducated workers a substantial amount of people began to fall for the utopianism in which working conditions would not be oppressive. Fabianists were socialists that believed in a peaceful evolution away from Free Market Capitalism. Marxists were socialists that believed change would only happen by an armed revolution of the worker-laborer class to end personal ownership and eventually a stateless society of mutual cooperation.
Undoubtedly the Fabian/Marxist utopian dream caught on with the horrible working conditions of the relatively low wages for long hours experienced by employees. It seems to me that Unions began to gain strength after the infusion of socialistic ideas began to disseminate from Marxist activists toward the unlearned labor force. The promise of a long range utopia seemed very attractive to short term memory.
Of course the reality of history has shown the Marxist path as interpreted by Trotsky, Lenin, Stalin and Mao was a path to oppression and probably the most unpublicized genocide in world history. There was no path from violent revolution to change society into the collective means of ownership and production that would benefit the whole. Rather after the Marxist revolutions the Marxist-Communist leaders embarked on a plan to eradicate all thought of attachment to ownership, traditional family values and religion. In the view of these revolutionary Marxists the only way to change the future was to eliminate an attachment to the past. Below is a paragraph representing the genocide of people that lost their lives in the name of social transformation from the two largest Marxist/Communist nations of the 20th century:
Between 1917 and 1987, Vladimir Lenin, Joseph Stalin and their successors murdered, or were otherwise responsible for the deaths of, 62 million of their own people. Between 1949 and 1987, Mao Tse-tung and his successors were responsible for the deaths of 76 million Chinese. The most authoritative tally of history’s most murderous regimes is in a book by University of Hawaii’s Professor Rudolph J. Rummel, “Death by Government.” A wealth of information is provided at his website. (Leftists, Progressives and Socialists; October 21, 2010)
Did you do the math? The sum of genocidal deaths was 138 MILLION people. My friends this is the failure of Socialism/Marxism.
Unsuspecting exploited American workers had no idea the long term promise of a collective Socialist or Marxist utopia would lead to oppression that made profit margin Capitalists look like a picnic.
In one sense the rise of powerful Unions was part of ending the mistreatment of workers via government regulation that benefitted better work hours, better wages, better safety, better health benefits and the elimination of child labor in industry. Unions brought parity between the employed and their owner/managers. Indeed, it was discovered that better conditions actually improved the means of production which increased profits which increased wages and benefits.
I will not go into the bitter bloodiness that occurred between owner/manager and Unions. There were atrocities of violence on both sides until a symbiotic relationship proved beneficial.
I will go into how Unions began to be both a detriment to their Collective members and the means of production as it affected the American economy. Just as Industrialists became greedy Capitalists in the beginning of the Industrial Revolution so also Union leadership became greedy for more benefits, more wages and more power which meant more money in the coffers of the Unions. The big Unions began to be haunted by corruption. The Socialist utopianism espoused by early Union leaders turned powerful fiefdoms in which thuggery was used to keep members in line or to brutalize those who did not want to join the Unions. The combination of Union high demands and Union corruption led to a point in which owners found it cheaper to move the means of production to nations where the wage demand was a fraction of the American Union demands. Eventually America moved from a producer nation to a consumer nation.
Just as Capitalists needed government regulation, it is time for government regulation to enable Right to Work laws that give workers a better opportunity to land a job eschewing a Union. It is time to regulate the power of Unions. That symbiotic balance between owner/manager and Unions must be found again or America’s lack of production combined with America’s increasing National Debt will explode to America’s detriment.
As much as I am concerned about Marxist principle and Islamic theo-politics robbing America of Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness; it could all become irrelevant as National chaos turns America into something that will discharge the U.S. Constitution and lead to another form of government that will lead to the decline of the Pax Americana. The historical lesson is the Roman Republic devolving into a populist cult leadership that led to civil wars which led to a Roman Empire that was lucky enough to have a capable first emperor in Augustus. After Augustus the Roman infrastructure slowly deteriorated until it was divided into two spheres of influence. The Western Latin sphere degenerated into the last powerless emperor that lost his Imperial throne in 476 because the only area of rule was the area of Italian Rome itself (The capital city actually being Ravenna). The Eastern part of the Roman Empire eventually became a Greek speaking empire that acquired the appellation of the Byzantine Empire. The Byzantine East became weaker and weaker due to wars with Persians which exhausted its Empire. The Byzantine/Persian wars actually left both empires depleted and were eventually overrun by conquering Muslims. In the case of the last vestige of the Roman Empire, the Byzantine capital of Constantinople was overrun on May 29, 1453 ending the Byzantine Empire.
I suspect a similar slow demise will begin if lack of production and an unsustainable National Debt collapses the greatest political experiment the world has ever seen.
I became lost in these thoughts because I was the recipient of a mass email by Senator Rand Paul (R-KY). The purpose of the email was to raise support for the National Right to Work Act. The Act would enable the potential for businesses to be created in which production is made in America rather than American debt owner Communist China. Check out the Senator Paul rally for the petition and I encourage you to sign it.

Dear Concerned American,
I didn’t come to Washington, D.C. to buddy up to Big Labor and continue decades upon decades of “politics as usual.”
I came to turn this place around.
And if there’s one thing I learned during the historic 2010 elections, it’s that good folks like you and me can make a real difference.
So won’t you please agree to sign the petition I link to in a moment urging your Congressman and Senators to cosponsor the National Right to Work Act to finally END Big Labor’s stranglehold on our government and our fragile economy?
The truth is, there may be nothing President Obama and his union boss pals fear more than a public roll-call vote on this bill.
You see, right now, more than 11 million American workers are forced to pay union dues just to keep their jobs.
That’s just plain wrong.
But every bit as bad is the toll forced unionism is taking on our economy.
Just in the past few years, UAW union bosses armed with forced-dues privileges nearly drove the Big Three automakers to insolvency — until they were bailed out by American taxpayers.
Of course, the thousands of small businesses who were forced to shut their doors due to Big Labor militancy weren’t so lucky.
In the government sector, out-of-control union bosses’ outrageous demands, cushy pensions and bloated benefit packages all helped push California and dozens of other cities and states to the brink of bankruptcy.
And more stories like these are sure to come.
So, especially during these tough economic times, why has forced unionism been allowed to continue?
Well, thanks to their forced-dues privileges, the Big Labor bosses rake in eight BILLION dollars every year in forced union dues.
Every election year the union bosses spend one BILLION of that to elect and reelect their own handpicked politicians like Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and Barack Obama.
Then, once elected, these tax-and-spend politicians fight for even MORE union-label power grabs like:
*** The “Card Check” Bill to strip workers of their right to a secret ballot election and FORCE millions more American workers under union boss control;
*** The Police and Firefighter Forced Unionization Bill which is designed to force EVERY first responder in the country under union boss control — and is just the first step toward turning all state and local government workers nationwide over to Big Labor;
*** New, TRILLION-dollar “stimulus packages” and social welfare boondoggles like ObamaCare all laden with Big Labor goodies — sending our already soaring deficit through the roof and increasing pressure for economy-crushing tax hikes;
*** Taxpayer bailouts for everything from failed unionized companies to Big Labor’s own mismanaged “Cadillac” union pension funds.
I hope you agree something’s got to change.
The good news is, passage of a National Right to Work act would end the forced-dues mandates in federal law and finally put an end to this vicious cycle.
You see, just getting a public, roll-call vote in both houses of Congress would be a huge victory.
Nearly 80% of the American people are opposed to forced union dues.
So if the union bosses’ pals in the U.S. House and Senate want to vote against our National Right to Work Act, they can be my guest.
They’ll pay the political price at the ballot box when faced with reelection — and 2012 could be an even worse year for forced unionism and the union bosses than 2010!
Just imagine the price the union bosses’ allies will pay once the American people come face-to-face with the fact that:
*** Millions of workers are forced to surrender part of every paycheck to Big Labor just to keep their jobs.
This cash funds aggressive “organizing” drives, a limousine lifestyle for union bigwigs, and bankrolls radical, tax-and-spend politicians like Barack Obama;
*** Big Labor’s power is poison to hundreds of thousands of small businesses.
Union-label politicians and Obama-stacked bureaucracies are strangling small businesses with confiscatory taxes, destructive laws and straitjacket regulations;
*** Union thugs terrorize workers and communities with violent strikes where they get away with beatings, arson — even murder.
But this fight won’t be easy.
The union bosses are going to do everything they can to try and suffocate the National Right to Work Bill quietly behind the scenes without even a public vote.
That’s why I’ve agreed to help the National Right to Work Committee mobilize Americans from all over the country to force Congress to vote publicly on the National Right to Work Act.
They’ve been leading the fight to end forced unionism in America for more than 50 years.
The Committee has drafted a petition to your Congressman and Senators that I hope you’ll agree to sign IMMEDIATELY by clicking here.
This petition is a vital part of the Committee’s plan to turn up the heat on Congress and force a vote on a National Right to Work law.
Using their sophisticated direct mail, email and phone mobilization programs, they’ll make sure Big Labor’s allies in Congress know they won’t get away with sweeping the forced-unionism issue under the rug.
In fact, over the next few months, their goal is to contact up to fourteen million Americans!
And in the days before the vote, the Committee will prepare hard-hitting newspaper, radio and TV ads to make sure my colleagues understand the political price they’ll pay should they choose to betray the nearly 80% of their constituents who oppose forced unionism.
But such a massive program isn’t cheap — and none of it can happen without the support of good folks like you.
So, in addition to your signed petition, I hope you’ll agree to a generous contribution to the National Right to Work Committee.
Some folks have given as much as $2,500 or $1,000.
That’s a lot, I know. Only a few folks can make that kind of contribution.
All I ask is that you please contribute as much as you can.
Perhaps you can give $500 or $250. Or perhaps $100, $50 or $35.
Friend, folks like you and me who truly believe in freedom must make sure that victories at the ballot box aren’t wasted.
Instead we should capitalize on them — and one of the best ways to do that is to force a vote on the National Right to Work Act.
And after signing your petition, will you agree to a generous contribution of $500, $250, $100, $50 or $35 to the National Right to Work Committee today?
I’m counting on your support.
The Hon. Rand Paul
U.S. Senator (R-KY)
P.S. There may be nothing President Obama and his Big Labor allies fear more than a public roll-call vote on the National Right to Work Act to END forced union dues nationwide.
With nearly 80% of the American people opposed to forced unionism, should Big Labor’s allies choose to vote AGAINST this bill, they’ll go down in flames at the ballot box.
So please sign the petition to your Congressman and Senators urging them to cosponsor the National Right to Work Act — and make your most generous contribution of $500, $250, $100, $50 or $35 to the National Right to Work Committee TODAY!
