A Communist Cleansing of America

By Justin O. Smith

With the first link, the chain is forged. The first speech censured, the first thought forbidden, the first freedom denied, chains us all irrevocably.” — Jeri Taylor/ Star Trek script

Americans witnessed more violence, yet again, on August 12th 2017, in Charlottesville, Virginia, during a Unite the Right free speech rally, that also hoped to stop the removal of Confederate General Robert E Lee’s statue from Emancipation Park. While an unknown number of counter-protesters who truly see Confederate monuments as painful reminders, of a time of bondage in America’s past, were there, many were simply good and decent conservatives, who understand that America cannot allow Her history to be re-written and eradicated.

Unfortunately, the roots of violence in Charlottesville, that ended Heather Heyer’s life, is the same sort of violence America witnessed in the 1960s and more recently in Ferguson, Baltimore, Dallas and Baton Rouge and now dozens of other cities across America, but its cause goes far deeper than a few Confederate monuments. Removing the monuments will solve nothing.

It’s hard to imagine that the hard-core left of Antifa and Black Lives Matter had any noble purposes, once one discovers they came prepared with clubs and urine and feces filled bottles and balloons; and, it is even more telling that Charlottesville Vice-Mayor Wes Bellamy is a black supremacist racist and a member of the New Black Panthers, who tweeted, “I don’t like whit[e] people so I hate snow” on December 20th 2009, and “I hate seeing white people in Orangeburg”, on February 13th 2011.

The violence soon started, once a state of emergency was declared at 11:06 A.M. and law enforcement called the event an “unlawful assembly” at 11:36 AM. Law enforcement forced conservatives, Nazis and KKK alike out of Emancipation Park and directly into the violent hordes of waiting Antifa, who hurled their urine filled containers. And in essence, the police failed to maintain order; it’s been suggested by ACLU  investigators that the police were given a “stand down” order.

Swastikas, Antifa black flags and Hammer and Sickles flew in despicable fashion over America’s horizon in Charlottesville, and the Nazis and Antifa Marxists engaged in hand to hand combat. At the height of the violence, Sheryl Gay Stolberg (NYT) wrote, “The hard left seemed as hate-filled as the alt-right. I saw club-wielding Antifa beating white nationalists …”, but she then corrected her report to cover for Antifa’s evil, writing, “Should have said violent, not hate-filled. They were standing up to hate.”

One cannot ascribe varying degrees of blame to the radical groups in Charlottesville. The Neo-Nazis’ venomous racism is no more or less contemptible than Antifa and BLM’s belief that offensive speech, other than their own, must be banned at any cost, as they endeavor to destroy our republic. These young fascists and communists have far more in common with each other, than they do with decent conservative and classical liberal thinkers and patriotic Americans, which is always true of violent radicals and totalitarian minded petty tyrants.

If we are to survive as a republic, we must condemn the violence and evil philosophy of those members of the Neo-Nazi and KKK groups; we must condemn the violence of Antifa, Black Lives Matter, the New Black Panthers, and La Raza and their communist ideology. We must also stop allowing the mainstream media to falsely label all conservatives as bigots and racists and all left-wing activists as moral crusaders. Otherwise, with our honesty as a society in question at the moment, America will soon cease being a free society.

It is important to note that the radical Far Left has grown enormously, since the 1960s, and even more over the last decade, Their most recent violence was witnessed in Oakland 2009, Pittsburgh 2009, Akron 2009, Oakland 2010, Los Angeles 2010, Oakland 2011, Anaheim 2012, Brooklyn 2013, Ferguson 2014, New York 2014, Baltimore 2015, Oakland 2016, Portland 2016, Washington D.C. 2017, Olympia 2017, Portland 2017 and Berkeley on three separate occasions this year, along with massive property damage, injured citizens and hundreds of hurled Molotov cocktails.

There isn’t any comparable list of Neo-Nazi or “alt-right” protests. There have not been many in recent years, and it is a factual error to call the entire alt-right movement “racist”; it started as an organization that noted one could be white, or any color, and be proud of one’s race without hating other races, and that one need not apologize to people of color for their ancestor’s sins of slavery or for being white.

However, heavily laden with Leftist propaganda mouthpieces, the mainstream media is unwilling to take an honest look at Antifa and the evil it perpetrates, because that would not advance their false narrative of America and people of color still being victimized by conservative groups. America’s media provides cover for the anarchists and communists, who hide behind self-proclaimed righteousness to commit criminal acts of violence.

Now, the media castigates President Donald Trump for not condemning the Nazis and white supremacists harshly enough, after it gave President Barack Obama a pass, when Black Lives Matter, other communists and anarchists and ISIS sympathizers tore Ferguson. Missouri and Baltimore, Maryland apart. this is typical Leftist media hypocrisy, but to hear it from a number of Republicans, like former presidential candidate Mitt Romney and Senator Bob Corker (R-TN) is inexcusable. Where were these Republicans, when black thugs posing as “activists” were destroying U.S. cities and attacking white people?

In Durham N.C. shortly after Charlottesville’s violence, our own Taliban smashed a statue of a Confederate soldier. Near the entrance of Duke University Chapel, a statue of Lee was defaced, the nose broken off.

Takiya Thompson, 22, was the young lady who helped tear down the Confederate monument in Durham, identified through on-site video. She was soon arrested after addressing a press conference of the Worker’s World Party, a Marxist mélange that stuck with the Soviets through all their human rights abuses.

On August 16th, Baltimore carried out a cultural cleansing by taking down statues of Lee and Maryland Chief Justice Roger Taney, who wrote the Dred Scott decision and opposed Lincoln’s suspension of habeas corpus. Approximately 100 other statues from Chattanooga to Murfreesboro and Franklin to Tampa, Dallas and Houston are facing the same fate.

If America starts tearing down all the statues of Confederate heroes, like Robert E. Lee, “Stonewall” Jackson and Nathan Bedford Forrest, why stop there? What about the nine presidents of the United States who owned slaves? [Blog Editor: History.com – 12 Presidents & Wikipedia – 18 Presidents]

Laura Ingraham, renowned talk radio host, along with President Trump, myself and many others, is right to ask, “What else will be subjected to their eradication and denunciation”, further noting, “This is not about racial healing. This is about the control of the narrative and the destruction of historical recognition.”

Perhaps the Left will start purging their own Democratic Party, as good communists often do, of displays that honor racist Democrats. There’s a statue of former Senator Robert Byrd (D-WVA), a Grand Kleagle in the KKK, in West Virginia’s state capitol. There also exists approximately 56 buildings, bridges, highways and centers that are named after Byrd. Do they need to be renamed or destroyed now?

What about Senator J. William Fulbright (D-MO)? Fulbright was a segregationist who voted against the Civil Rights Act of 1957 and 1964, and he opposed implementing the Court’s ruling in Brown v. Board of Education.

Should statues of NAACP co-founder, W.E.B. Du Bois, be toppled? Du Bois was kicked out of the NAACP (now far-left), because he supported segregation. He became a communist, renounced his U.S. citizenship and praised mass murderers Joseph Stalin and Mao Tse-Tung as great leaders.

If the Jefferson Memorial or the Washington Monument was blown up today, who would America blame — the Islamic jihadists or the Antifa fascists?

This is precisely what the Left intends on accomplishing, because at the core of their evil little hearts, these Antifa and Black Lives Matter types are outright communists. They will burn America’s biographies and histories and write new texts aimed at abolishing eternal truths and all religion and morality. They will “cleanse” our modern society to prepare for the “classless society” where what was and is no longer exists. And finally, they will indoctrinate our children and demand that they tear down and destroy what their fathers cherished.

America is in a fight for Her very life, because the “protests” by the radicals of Antifa, Black Lives Matter and other communist backed groups are focused on taking down Our Republic by any means necessary. America is under assault by communists and anarchists bent on defining our rights through the state communist “elite”, more than they have any real concern over “white supremacy”, and in order to succeed, they must undermine and destroy the U.S. Constitution and complete the “fundamental transformation” of America into an authoritarian socialist state.

Every American, who loves America so well, must fight in the halls of state legislatures and the U.S. Congress, and the streets of America if necessary, to protect America. We must demand that our leaders properly use the tools of the Constitution and America and guide America back towards American traditions and the Western and Judeo-Christian principles and ethos, that have always defined America’s free society, in order that America’s Children and Her Children’s Children will continue to live, under the rule of law, free for all eternity.

The Demonic Roots of White Supremacy

I’m on Charisma Magazine’s email list. Yup, I’m one of those Chraris-Maniacs that believe in speaking in tongues.

When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord[a] in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. (Bold text mine – Acts 2: 1-4 NKJV)

J. Lee Grady writing for Charisma talks about the Charlottesville Rumble focusing on the racist White Supremacists from a spiritual perspective. The title: The Demonic Roots of White Supremacy.

Great article, but I believe if you switch out “White Supremacist” with “Antifa/Black Lives Matter Marxist”. Both ideologies are noxious to the Creator of the Universe.

The racists warp the Word of God to justify their hatred with all people not White. The Marxists hate all things of God. Hence, both ideologies are demonic.

The Demonic Roots of White Supremacy

What happened last week in Virginia was the work of a dark, sinister force. (Getty Images / iStock / © J-me-L)

I had just finished performing a wedding in North Carolina last Saturday when I checked my phone and saw the alarming news: White supremacists were marching in Charlottesville, Virginia, to protest the removal of a Confederate statue. A few minutes later, when my friends were about to begin the wedding reception with a barbecue feast, I learned that a 20-year-old white nationalist had plowed his Dodge Challenger into a group of counter-protesters, killing one person and injuring 19 others.

I lost my appetite.

I’m still sad today, especially after learning that the young man responsible for the mayhem in Virginia on August 12 was identified with Vanguard America, a hate group that promotes the idea that America should be an exclusively white nation.

James Alex Fields Jr., of Maumee, Ohio, was obviously mentally disturbed. He had been diagnosed with schizophrenia—and this may explain why he wasn’t accepted in the U.S. Army when he tried to enlist in 2015. Fields had been fascinated with Nazi Germany and white supremacy since ninth grade. He idolized Adolf Hitler.

Fields is now classified as a domestic terrorist. He is also part of a demonic movement in this country that needs to be denounced in the strongest terms.

Racism is sick. Neo-Nazism is sick. And despite what some smug, churchgoing racists may tell you, these philosophies are totally incompatible with Christianity. White nationalism is an idea that was hatched in hell itself.

Nazism was spawned in Germany with the idea that white Aryans (“pure” Germans with no mixed-race lineage) are the “superior race,” and that nature has selected them scientifically to outlast darker-skinned people. This fueled Hitler’s rise to power.

Hitler was totally opposed to belief in God. He was convinced that Darwinian evolution controlled the world, and that all of life could be understood by watching the Aryan race struggle to gain dominance. He championed the idea that Jews, Southern Europeans and Gypsies were human vermin, destined for extinction. (Hitler called these people “bacteria.”)

Hitler also supported bizarre eugenics programs, forcing people he considered inferior to be sterilized. And a huge majority of Germans, under the spell of this spiritual deception, supported Nazi policies.

It is no surprise that many Christians in the 1940s viewed Hitler as the Antichrist. He once told an eyewitness: “The biggest evil for the German people is accepting Christian humility.” Pride consumed the fuhrer. At least 6 million Jews died in the German holocaust because of his sinister ideas, along with 1.8 million non-Jewish Poles, 220,000 Gypsies, 250,000 handicapped people and an undetermined number of homosexuals.

When the Nazi regime failed in 1945, Hitler killed himself. But his ideas did not die. There are more than a dozen major neo-Nazi and white nationalist groups operating in the United States and Canada today. There are many more groups in Europe, South Africa and Asia. The White Nationalist Party operates in England, a Heathen Front exists in Norway and an organization called the Stormer Troll Army has an international membership.

The spirit that possessed Hitler is still at work. If this doesn’t prove the existence of a real devil, I don’t know what will.

White supremacy is part of the antichrist spirit mentioned in the New Testament. It is in complete opposition to Christ’s gospel, for the following reasons:

  • When God chose to send His Son into the world, He was born to a Jewish woman. Jesus would not have been considered “Aryan”–He was a man of color. Yet He called people of all races to a salvation that was not based on race but on faith in God’s incredible love and mercy.

  • The church that Jesus founded began with His first Jewish followers, but it quickly became mixed with Italians, Greeks, Ethiopians and other Gentiles. Jesus broke the “dividing wall” between Jew and Gentile (see Eph. 2:14). He defeated racism! And He commissioned His followers to take the gospel to all nations. Christianity has always been multiethnic.

  • The first apostles made it clear that Christ’s kingdom is based on love for one another. Christians are not allowed to hate people—and they are certainly not allowed to belong to hate groups. John made this clear when he wrote: “If anyone says, ‘I love God,’ and hates his brother, he is a liar” (1 John 4:20a). Racial hatred, bigotry and prejudice of any kind are polar opposites of Christian faith.

In 2015 another young white supremacist, Dylann Roof, walked into an African-American church in Charleston and shot nine black Christians—including their pastor—during a Bible study. Investigations showed that Roof was “self-radicalized,” meaning he adopted his white supremacist views from reading articles on the Internet. He later confessed that he shot his victims in order to start a race war.

Now another troubled man, influenced by similar teachings, has killed a woman in Charlottesville—and he has proved once again that this white nationalist philosophy is a demonic spirit that still haunts America.

We can’t soft-pedal on this. We can’t compromise with it. When Jesus cast out a demon, He named it. We, too, should name the evil that is in our midst. Every pastor in America, and every government leader—including our president—should expose white supremacy for what it is.

Charlottesville Is Biggest ‘Fake News’ of Summer

Again, just to be clear. The Neo-Nazi-KKK-White National racist march to defend Confederate was an evil that must be reprehensible to all Americans. I mean these guys actually were more concerned about a public display of their racist ideology then legitimately protesting the historical cleansing of American history.

David Horowitz points out the racists legally applied for and obtained permit to march publicly. The Antifa/Black Lives Matter Communists did not have a permit. AND the Charlottesville Police made zero effort to enforce the law when the Antifa/BLM Marxist/Black Supremacist supporters counter-protested illegally without a permit.

Charlottesville Is Biggest ‘Fake News’ of Summer

[Newsmax] Editor’s Note: David Horowitz is the author of the runaway New York Times bestseller “Big Agenda: President Trump’s Plan to Save America.” His book first predicted the anti-Trump left would use race to divide America and undermine the Trump presidency. His op-ed for Newsmax appears below. Get more info on “Big Agenda” — Go Here Now.

The tragedy in Charlottesville could have been an occasion to stop and consider how the tolerance for politically correct violence and politically correct hatred is leading the nation towards civil war.

Instead the media and the political left have turned this incident into the biggest fake news story of the summer, transforming its real lessons into a morality play that justifies war against the political right, and against white people generally.

The organizers of the “Unite the Right” demonstration in Charlottesville were repellent racists.

But they came to defend a historic monument honoring a complex man and cause, and not to attack it or presumably anyone else.

They applied for a permit and were denied. They re-applied successfully in a petition supported by the local ACLU.

If they had come to precipitate violence, why would they have gone to the tedious trouble of applying for a permit?

Who knows what — if anything — would have happened if that had been the end of the story and no one had showed up to oppose them.

What Unite the Right actually demonstrated was that the assortment of neo-Nazis, pro-Confederates and assorted yahoos gathered under the banner of the “Alt-Right” is actually a negligible group.

This supposed national show of strength actually attracted all of 500 people.

Compare that to the tens of the thousands who can readily be marshaled by two violent groups of the left — Black Lives Matter and Antifa — and you get an idea of how marginal “white supremacists” are to America’s political and cultural life.

Yet “white supremacy” and its evils became the centerpiece of all the fake news reporting on the event, including all the ludicrous attacks on the president for not condemning enough a bogeyman the whole nation condemns, and that no one but a risible fringe supports.

Talk about virtue signaling!

Omitted from the media coverage were the other forces at work in precipitating the battle of Emancipation Park, specifically Black Lives Matter and Antifa, two violent leftwing groups with racial agendas who came to squelch the demonstration in defense of the monument.

Unlike the Unite the Right demonstrators, the leftist groups did not apply for permits, which would have been denied since there was another demonstration scheduled for that park on that day.

But why should they have applied for a permit, since the mayhem they had previously caused in Ferguson, Berkeley, Sacramento, Portland and other cities, was accomplished without permits, while their criminality was presented by the media as “protests,” and their rioting went completely unpunished.

In other words, there were two demonstrations in Charlottesville — a legal protest by Unite the Right and an illegal protest by the vigilantes of Antifa and Black Lives Matter.

Who started the fight is really immaterial. Both sides were prepared for violence because these conflicts are already a pattern of our deteriorating civic life.

Once the two sides had gathered in the same place, the violence was totally predictable.

Two parties, two culpabilities; but except for the initial statement of President Trump, condemning both sides, only one party has been held accountable, and that happens to be the one that was in the park legally.

What is taking place in the media accounts and political commentaries on this event is an effort by the left to turn the mayhem in Charlottesville into a template for their war against a mythical enemy — “white supremacy” — which is really a war on white people generally.

The ideology that drives the left and divides our country is “identity politics” — the idea that the world consists of two groups — “people of color” who are guiltless and oppressed, and white people who are guilty and oppressors.

This is the real race war.

Its noxious themes inform the mindless, hysterical hatred of President Trump, and the equally mindless support of racist mobs like Black Lives Matter and Antifa.

It is a war from which no good can come. But it won’t be stopped unless enough people have the courage to stand up and name it for what it is.

Antifa v. Alt-Right in Charlottesville — and America

Antifa v. Alt-Right in Charlottesville — and America

The coming battles between sociopathic Leftists — the socialist “anti-fascists” and the “alternate-right” anarchists.

By Mark Alexander

Aug. 16, 2017

(Email Alert Sent: 8/16/2017 2:39 PM)

The Patriot Post

“It is the manners and spirit of a people, which preserve a republic in vigor. A degeneracy in these is a canker which soon eats to the heart of its laws and constitution.” —Thomas Jefferson (1787)

Liberals ME & Liberals in USA

Last weekend, according to NBC Chicago, there were nine people killed and more than 30 wounded in gunfights on the streets of Chicago — and those figures don’t include the deaths and injuries from other weapons within that Democrat Party pit.

This is a recurring tragedy in Chicago, and yet it’s highly probable that 99.999% of Americans have not heard about those deaths. Indeed, even though most of the murdered were black, who beyond the immediate family and friends of the deceased can name a single unfortunate victim of all the hatred and violence that is commonplace there?

The reason their names and faces are anonymous is that their lives have no value as political fodder for the Demo/media propaganda machine or its so-called “Black Lives Matter” constituency. Those victims are simply tossed onto the pile of 430 homicides in Chicago thus far this year, to the horror of those of us who believe that “all lives matter.”

Now consider this: Last weekend, there was one person murdered in Charlottesville, Virginia, by an Ohio man, and the whole world knows the name of that unfortunate victim.

Charlottesville is, as anyone who has been there can attest, a great town. In January, I declined an invitation to attend the Trump inaugural fanfare, opting instead that weekend to meet my son in Charlottesville for a few days visiting friends and re-visiting historic sites.

This area is, in my opinion, the richest historic region in America.

Charlottesville is the site of Declaration of Independence author Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello home, which sits just above the town, and his beloved University of Virginia. Just beyond Monticello is James Monroe’s Highland home place. To the north is Montpelier, home of our Constitution’s author, James Madison. To the west is Lexington, home of Washington and Lee University and Virginia Military Academy — and burial place of Virginia sons Robert E. Lee and Thomas “Stonewall” Jackson. Northeast is George Washington’s Mount Vernon, and the home of George Mason. To the east are Richmond, Williamsburg, Jamestown and Yorktown — the final battle site of the American Revolution.

Despite being the epicenter of such extraordinary history, Charlottesville is also lorded over by a disgraceful mayor, Mike Signer, and his Leftist city council — a group of Berkeley wannabes who have led local historical purges of Thomas Jefferson and Robert E. Lee.

It was the planned removal of a small statue of the latter from a city park that was the catalyst for the obscene riots last weekend in this otherwise quiet and idyllic town.

That riot was a clash between sociopathic forces — the antifa, the ironically self-styled “anti-fascists” leading the Leftist intifada against anyone supporting Liberty or any economic system other than socialism, and the alt-right, an anarcho-fascist fringe movement of white supremacists. Notably the alt-right racists had an ACLU-defended permit for their protest hate speech. The antifa socialists and black supremacists showed up in mass without a permit.

Thugs Clash in Charlottesville

Eight years of racial antagonism by Barack Obama and his radical regime led to mass riots in more than 20 American urban centers, fomented by Leftist groups operating under the banners of Occupy Wall Street, Black Lives Matter, antifa, et al. That violence erupted in Oakland, Akron and Pittsburgh in 2009; Santa Cruz, Oakland and Los Angeles in 2010; Oakland in 2011; Chicago and Anaheim in 2012; Brooklyn in 2013; Ferguson and New York City in 2014; Baltimore in 2015; Anaheim, Chicago, St. Paul, Milwaukee, Charlotte, Standing Rock, Oakland and Portland in 2016; and DC, Berkeley, Anaheim, Berkeley part 2, Berkeley part 3, Olympia and Portland in 2017.

While Republicans, Democrats and the mainstream media have correctly tagged one side of the hateful antagonists in Charlottesville as “white supremacists,” you won’t find any reference by any Democrat, or their Leftmedia propagandists, to the “black supremacists” who were at the center of, or significant participants in, all the aforementioned urban violence.

Nor did a single politico or media outlet rightly tag Micah X, who murdered five police officers in Dallas a year ago, a “black supremacist.” He was just the latest manifestation of the Democrats’ playbook, which endeavors to foment disunity to rally constituencies. To them, dead police officers are just collateral damage.

Remarkably, the riot in Charlottesville has already received more mass media bandwidth than the attempted mass assassination in June of multiple Republican congressmen in Alexandria, Virginia, by a hate-filled Bernie Sanders supporter.

Perhaps “Virginia is [not] for Lovers” after all? Actually, Virginia is a great state when it’s not baiting anarchist haters.

Given the media feeding frenzy inspired by the riots in Charlottesville, allow me to impart a few observations.

First: Regarding President Donald Trump’s repeated condemnation of both the racists and the socialists

Assessing the violence, Charlottesville police chief Al Thomas noted, “Other groups [opposing the alt-right faction] began amassing along the street and in the park. Gradually, the crowd sizes increased along with aggressiveness and hostility of attendees toward one another. … We did have mutually combating individuals in the crowd.”

This mutual violence was evident to everyone present, and it was affirmed in real time by New York Times reporter Hawes Spencer, who observed, “Protesters maced each other, threw water bottles and urine balloons — some of which hit reporters — and generally beat the crap out of each other with flagpoles.”

However, Trump should not have dared to suggest that the violence was from both sides of the idiot line. According to the Leftmedia, the antifa groups are just a bunch of wholesome all-American “counter-protesters” defending our country against an epidemic of right-wing (Republican) hatred.

After concurring with the police chief and other observers about “mutually combating individuals,” Trump said, “We condemn in the strongest possible terms this egregious display of hatred, bigotry and violence on many sides. On many sides. No matter our color, creed, religion or political party we are all Americans first.”

But that denunciation wasn’t sufficient for the Leftmedia — or for establishment Republicans, who knew full well that the Demo/MSM would label them as “soft on supremacists” because Trump dared to identify both ugly factions.

Sunday, the White House communications staff followed up with: “The President said very strongly in his statement yesterday that he condemns all forms of violence, bigotry and hatred and of course that includes white Supremacists, KKK, neo-Nazi and all extremist groups. He called for national unity and bringing all Americans together.”

But even that was insufficient for the Leftmedia. Trump had failed to elevate the standing of the conflict to the level that best serves the Demo/MSM agenda and the need to cash in on the chaos for ad revenue and political contributions.

So Trump on Monday called a press confab and repeatedly condemned the racists in what was to be a unifying speech.

But that was too little too late for the Leftmedia.

MSM reports Trump Said

On Tuesday, in a contentious confrontation with MSM agitators, Trump dared again to suggest that the violence was mutual: “You had a group on one side that was bad, and you had a group on the other side that was also very violent, and nobody wants to say that. But I’ll say it right now: I think there is blame on both sides and I don’t have a doubt about it and you [reporters] don’t have a doubt about it either.”

He also condemned the removal of historic markers, saying, “This week it’s Robert E. Lee. I notice that Stonewall Jackson’s [statue is] coming down. I wonder, is George Washington next week, and is it Thomas Jefferson the week after? You really do have to ask yourself, when does it stop?”

Of the Leftmedia “outrage” over Trump’s responses, Vice President Mike Pence said, “I take issue with the fact that many in the media … have spent an awful lot of time focusing on what the president said and criticisms of what the president said, instead of criticizing those who brought that hatred and violence to the streets of Charlottesville, Virginia.” He is correct.

Second: The Bannon problem

While I believe Trump’s response to the violence was measured — if very Trumpian — I also believe he has a problem on his staff by the name of Steve Bannon, chairman of his 2016 campaign and now his chief strategist.

Here’s the problem.

Jason Kessler is the white supremacist organizer of the “Unite the Right” protest in Charlottesville. He’s a University of Virginia graduate who lists on his résumé his last job as being a writer for “Daily Caller,” an online “conservative” news website co-founded in 2010 by Fox News host Tucker Carlson. For the record, despite the fact that I like Carlson’s commentary, our staff considers Daily Caller a well-funded titillation tabloid, and for that reason, it undermines the standing of genuine grassroots conservative publications. Indeed, as of this week, Daily Caller has scrubbed the commentary it hosted from Kessler.

Kessler’s colleague, Massachusetts native Richard Spencer, also a UVA graduate, was agitating the hatefest in Charlottesville.

Spencer is the founder of AlternativeRight.com, the alt-right homepage espousing, among other things, white supremacist views. After Trump’s election, Spencer led an alt-right conference group with “Hail Trump, hail our people, hail victory!” chants. When Trump tapped Bannon to be a senior advisor, Spencer claimed he was in “the best possible position” to influence policy.

That brings me to Bannon himself, who took control of Breitbart News in 2012 after the death of Andrew Breitbart. Bannon did to Andrew’s popular website what Jeff Bezos is doing to the once-respectable Washington Post — adulterating its content to comport with extremist political views.

Breitbart News described Spencer’s website as the “center of alt-right thought,” and in 2016, Bannon declared Breitbart “the platform for the alt-right.” Spencer concurred, noting that Breitbart “has acted as a ‘gateway’ to alt-right ideas and writers.”

This, of course, doesn’t make Bannon or Trump “white supremacists.” Bannon, like Trump, has a propensity for shooting from the hip and saying stupid stuff. And most Trump supporters would have no idea what the “alt-right” is because, in fact, it’s nothing more than a minuscule fringe political identity group. But the Leftmedia would have you believe it’s the very foundation of the Republican Party.

In November 2016, Trump responded to questions about Bannon’s appointment, saying, “I’ve known Steve Bannon a long time. If I thought he was a racist, or alt-right … I wouldn’t even think about hiring him.”

But can you detect the problem here?

All you need to know about Bannon is that he does not have enough humility, in the interest of Trump’s agenda, to resign.

Third: Regarding the Orwellian trend of “historical cleansing” underway by Leftists

The “progressive” use of violence to force the removal of historical monuments from public spaces should concern Americans of all political stripes. This extremely dangerous trend by Leftists, like those sitting on the city council of historical hub Charlottesville, smacks of socialist Soviet “airbrushing” and the Maoist “Cultural Revolution.”

Longtime friend of The Patriot Post, distinguished George Mason University professor Walter Williams, has issued erudite warnings about the consequences of historical ignorance here and here, including the removal of historic markers to Confederate generals and the rewriting of American history.

The vast majority of Americans, including me, who strenuously object to tearing down and stamping out our historical heritage do not object because of some racist affinity. We object because this is our story, and because whitewashing it is an affront to American history and to our legacy of Liberty.

Predictably, seizing the mindless momentum, the Black Congressional Caucus issued demands for the first phase of monument removals in the U.S. Capitol building.

Booker T Washington quote on racism

As 20th century philosopher George Santayana concluded in his treatise, “The Life of Reason”: “Progress, far from consisting in change, depends on retentiveness. When experience is not retained, as among savages, infancy is perpetual. Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.”

English writer Aldous Huxley put it more succinctly: “That men do not learn very much from the lessons of history is the most important of all the lessons of history.”

Fourth: The ACLU and Charlottesville Police

Notably, ACLU observers on Twitter were among the first to report that the Charlottesville police had stand-down orders, allowing the violence to escalate: “Clash between protesters and counter protesters. Police say, ‘We’ll not intervene until given command to do so.’” But that order never came.

This was affirmed by Fox News reporter Doug McKelway, who was in the middle of the combatants. “When the tear gas started to fly, thrown by protesters, the police themselves began to evacuate. I asked the guy who was in charge, ‘Where you going?’ He said, ‘We’re leaving. It’s too dangerous.’ They had a chance to nip this thing in the bud and they chose not to.”

If police officers are wholly unprepared for the level of violence, they should retreat. But this retreat looked more like the “stand-down” order that accelerated the 2015 Baltimore race riots.

Fifth: Who is funding antifa, Black Lives Matter and all the other Marxist/black supremacist groups that have emerged since 2008?

Judicial Watch is suing America-hating billionaire socialist George Soros for his funding records of Leftist political groups. Keep a sharp eye on the outcome of this lawsuit.

Finally, regarding the Republicans’ stampede to distance themselves from phony Leftist charges of racism, seeking to distance yourself from something already far removed actually feeds the narrative that maybe it is not so far removed.

To paraphrase a line from Shakespeare’s Hamlet, “Republicans doth apologize too much, methinks.”

The Democrat Party and its Leftmedia outlets are colluding to publicize, and thus politicize, upcoming alt-right-versus-antifa venues for conflict in order to advance their agenda. In doing so, they hope to hang these riots around Republican necks.

But let’s be clear: Every drop of blood that’s shed in these riots — and there will be more of them — is on the hands of the Demo/MSM propaganda machine that is fomenting the disunity that propagates them — and Republicans had better start shining a light on that, as Donald Trump has done, rather than cowering behind a microphone.

Mission and Objective

In 1996, concerned about the erosion of our Republic’s political and social institutions under Bill Clinton’s regime, and the virtual monopoly the mainstream media held on public opinionMark Alexander launched the online journal The Federalist — now published as The Patriot Post.

He did so with sage advice from conservative protagonists William F. Buckley (National Review, Emeritus) and Ed Feulner (Heritage Foundation, Emeritus), foreseeing a day when the Internet would overtake print and cable media as a primary source of news, policy and opinion — the most significant First Amendment advancement since our nation’s founding.

Alexander assembled an impressive National Advisory Committee and recruited an editorial team of young conservatives from across the nation. Together, they READ THE REST
