Govt. Temporarily Refunded – Baby Parts Keep Rolling

WARNING! – Graphic Video toward bottom – Children should not see this

Congress passed a Continuing Resolution (CR) yesterday to keep the government funded yesterday. The controversy in this 9/30/15 CR was it kept the baby killing and baby parts selling organization Planned Parenthood fully funded. Apparently ALL the Democrats made sure the baby killing and the trafficking in baby parts continued. Sadly the Republicans split on murdering babies and trafficking in live baby parts with the majority voting no for the CR.

The Senate easily approved the interim funding measure earlier Wednesday on a vote of 78-20.

While Congress has funded the government at least through December, the the [sic] funding of Planned Parenthood has angered conservative Republicans who argue GOP leadership has not fought hard enough for their values.

Indeed, the measure passed with a majority of Democratic votes — 186 Democrats voted in favor of the spending bill and 151 Republicans voted against it. Ninety-one Republicans voted for the short-term funding measure. President Obama is expected to sign it today, before funding expires at midnight. (SHUTDOWN AVERTED: HOUSE PASSES FUNDING BILL DESPITE MAJORITY OF GOP ‘NO’ VOTES; By CAROLINE MAY; Breitbart.comBig Government; 9/30/15)

I haven’t checked to see how many GOP Senators voted for the CR but it must have been a bunch for a 70-20 favorable vote. In the HOUSE NINETY-ONE Republicans voted for baby killing and marketing live baby parts in the name of keeping the government afloat.

On Wednesday September 16 on the CNN-GOP debate Carly Fiorina gave a vivid description of harvesting a live baby for body parts (which means a live birth then murdered and then dissected for internal organs). The Leftists cried boohoo and foul for the CMP video exposés implicating Planned Parenthood had no action of Fiorina’s description but only a description. THE THING IS Carly was talking about some video action that was not a part of CMP video releases. As a reminder, here’s what Carly Fiorina ACCURATELY described:

VIDEO: Carly Fiorina Response to Planned Parenthood on CNN Debate | The Blaze

I can’t assert this is the specific video that Presidential candidate for the GOP nomination viewed, but it is remarkably similar to her description. Due to the graphic nature I am beginning with the Youtube description first. Then I will show the roughly fifteen minute video.

Carly Fiorina was right

Carly Fiorina, CNN Republican presidential debate, September 16, 2015:

“Watch a fully formed fetus on the table, its heart beating, its legs kicking, while someone says, ‘We have to keep it alive to harvest its brain.’ This is about the character of our nation, and if we will not stand up and force President Obama to veto this [Planned Parenthood defunding] bill, shame on us.”

Ms. Fiorina was referring to a Center for Bio-Ethical Reform (CBR) video depicting a few seconds of a 17-½ week fetus, still alive and moving, following an intact-delivery abortion. Here we post the entire unedited video. The total running time is approximately 13 minutes and the video is in five segments as the camera operator turns the camera on and off.

CBR and the Center for Medical Progress (CMP), in whose undercover Planned Parenthood investigative video the CBR abortion footage appears, have been falsely accused of misrepresenting a miscarriage as an abortion. The first segment of the unedited video depicts the abortion itself, with the baby delivered alive and struggling in the abortionist’s gloved hand. Segments 2 and 3 depict the baby still moving in a stainless steel pan after repeatedly being handled abusively by the abortionist. Segments 4 and 5 are static gynecological shots of the baby’s mother.

This unedited version of the disputed footage proves incontestably that this termination is an abortion. Mothers at risk of miscarriage present at hospitals, not abortion clinics. Hospitals are in the business of sustaining pregnancies and saving babies. Abortion clinics are in the business of terminating pregnancies and killing babies. This video depicts a termination and the subsequent abuse and neglect of a preemie obviously delivered alive. No attempt is made to provide the neonatal intensive care a hospital would extend to a wanted baby. It is possible that the abortionists performing this termination violated both state and federal law by withholding care from a baby who survived an abortion.

Ms. Fiorina made reference to a baby’s heart still beating while its brain was being harvested (a process which Planned Parenthood’s senior director of medical services calls “digging”) and a former StemExpress “procurement technician” says, “I’m sitting here and I’m looking at this fetus and its heart is beating, and I don’t know what to think” (National Review, August 19, 2015). The article adds that “… her StemExpress supervisor instructed her to cut through the face of the fetus in order to get the brain.”

The unedited version of this abortion depicts an intact-delivery termination and Planned Parenthood partner StemExpress admits through its CEO (Cate Dyer), “Oh yeah, if you had intact cases, which we’ve done a lot, we sometimes ship those back to our lab in its entirety …” (The Daily Signal, August 21, 2015).

A World Magazine article, August 19, 2015, describes “… an aborted baby’s beating heart, a post-abortion occurrence that’s not uncommon, according to Ben Van Handel, executive director of Novogenix Laboratories.”

Ms. Fiorina’s characterizations are not hyperbole.

The terms of our abortion clinic access agreements explicitly forbid us from disclosing any information which could identify the abortion providers from whose clinics we obtain imagery. Dates, locations, affiliations and staff and patient information are confidential. Violating these prohibitions could subject CBR to legal liability and jeopardize clinic access for current and future projects. We are even obligated to delete the audio track on all of our videos.

The Grantham Collection is a component of the CBR abortion imagery archive. Questions related to this very disturbing video should be directed to Gregg Cunningham, cbr@cbrinfo.org, 949-206-0600.

Addendum: Medical malpractice lawsuits have become so common that OB/GYNs practice defensive medicine. They protect themselves by over-diagnosing, over-treating and over-prescribing. No doctor delivering this baby as a preemie in a hospital would fail to provide neonatal intensive care. Even if he had no compassion for the baby or his parents, he would provide care to avoid being sued for negligence. Warren Hern, in his book “Abortion Practice” warns of the difficulty in estimating fetal ages. A baby moving as vigorously as this one is presumptively entitled to care and would receive it — unless the attending physician is an abortionist, which is the case here.

Miscarried embryos and fetuses are virtually all still births involving a baby who expired in the uterus and was later born dead. A preemie in a hospital is born alive and given intensive care — not slapped around in a pan as happened here with a baby who survived the abortion depicted at the beginning of the video.

God have mercy on the voters that voted for Senators and Representatives who supported the Continued Resolution without defunding Planned Parenthood. The baby killing entrepreneurs of Planned Parenthood has made America complicit in the murder of children.

I am pleased my Oklahoma District One Representative Jim Bridenstine voted NO.

A Failure To Govern

Rep. Bridenstine Votes “No” on Continuing Resolution

By Rep. Jim Bridenstine (R-OK 1)

House.gov Website

Today I voted “No” on the Continuing Resolution (CR). Continuing Resolutions are a failure to govern, a failure to represent the people, and a failure to exercise the power of the purse.

The House passed the bills to fund the government in the proper process. The Senate failed to take up any of them due to Democrat filibusters. Accordingly, a CR was presented as the only option for funding the federal government.

Representatives should be able to appropriate funds for programs the people approve and withdraw funds from those they oppose. In Federalist 58, James Madison said, “The power over the purse may, in fact, be regarded as the most complete and effectual weapon with which any constitution can arm the immediate representatives of the people…”

I have never voted for a CR. Those who voted for the “clean” CR today, or any of the numerous CRs over the past 7 years, voted to fund Planned Parenthood, the President’s unconstitutional executive amnesty, sanctuary cities, Obamacare, and the Iran nuclear deal. There is nothing “clean” about this process. In passing a CR, Congress abandons its representative duty and fails to fulfill the role given to it by the Constitution.

Rep. Jim Bridenstine Votes to Stop the Iran Deal

On September 11th the House voted on three bills to stop President Obama’s atrocious Iran nuclear agreement. These bills make clear that the American people, acting through their elected representatives, reject the President’s capitulation to Iran. America’s next President can — and should — end the agreement on day one and restart the most effective sanctions regime ever created. The Iran deal will endanger the security of America and our closest allies and partners, as I have explained at length (here and here).

When Leftists Call Fiorina a Liar

When Leftists Call Fiorina a Liar

YOU KNOW there is a warping of a real truth

By John R. Houk

© September 18, 2015

I was watching Leftie Fox News contributor Alan Colmes call Fiorina a liar about her passionate disgust with of a baby abortedI mean – murdered fully intact with the heart beating and people talking about harvesting baby’s brain. It was an abhorrent description of infanticide. So I decided to look for that video.

An unsurprising Google search turned up numerous Left Wing websites calling a Fiorina a liar just like Colmes. The fact is, after you hear a Leftist say something is a lie, it is more than likely the truth.

The truth is the video in question does not actually show an intact baby allegedly aborted but heart beating on a table. The video does show former StemExpress employee Holly O’Donnell describing the exact event that Carly Fiorina accused Planned Parenthood of at the CNN GOP Debate on Wednesday. In fact the O’Donnell description flashes to a fully baby that has the appearance of being taken from a women prematurely (as in the skin was all red) with one of the tiny precious legs have a spasm. Included with the video below is the entire Youtube description (This video is a repeat performance of an earlier cross post – “The Secret History of Planned Parenthood”):

Whistleblower Who Harvested Aborted Baby Parts Inside Planned Parenthood Clinics for StemExpress Describes “Most Difficult Experience I Had There” In Latest Documentary Episode

Contact: Peter Robbio, probbio@crcpublicrelations.com, 703.683.5004

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 19–The third episode in a new documentary web series and 7th video on Planned Parenthood’s supply of aborted fetal tissue tells a former procurement technician’s harrowing story of harvesting an intact brain from a late-term male fetus whose heart was still beating after the abortion.

The “Human Capital” documentary web series, produced by The Center for Medical Progress, integrates expert interviews, eyewitness accounts, and real-life undercover interactions to explore different themes within Planned Parenthood’s sale of aborted fetal tissue. Episode 3, “Planned Parenthood’s Custom Abortions for Superior Product,” launches today at: http://www.centerformedicalprogress.org/2015/08/human-capital-episode-3-planned-parenthoods-custom-abortions-for-superior-product/

The series focuses on the personal narrative of Holly O’Donnell, a former Blood and Tissue Procurement Technician for StemExpress, a biotech start-up that until last week was partnered with two large northern California Planned Parenthood affiliates to purchase their aborted fetus parts and resell them for scientific experimentation.

O’Donnell describes the harvesting, or “procurement,” of organs from a nearly intact late-term fetus aborted at Planned Parenthood Mar Monte’s Alameda clinic in San Jose, CA. “‘I want to see something kind of cool,’” O’Donnell says her supervisor asked her. “And she just taps the heart, and it starts beating. And I’m sitting here and I’m looking at this fetus, and its heart is beating, and I don’t know what to think.”

The San Jose Planned Parenthood does abortions up to 20 weeks of pregnancy. Referring to the beating heart of the aborted fetus, O’Donnell remarks, “I don’t know if that constitutes it’s technically dead, or it’s alive.”

State and federal law require that the same treatment be given to an infant born-alive after an abortion as to a normally delivered baby (1 U.S.C. 8, CA Health and Safety Code 123435). California law also prohibits any kind of experimentation on a fetus with a discernible heartbeat (CA Health and Safety Code 123440). StemExpress has been cited in published scientific literature as a source of fetal hearts used for Langendorff perfusion, which keeps a heart beating after it is excised from the body: http://www.hindawi.com/journals/omcl/2015/730683/

O’Donnell also tells how her StemExpress supervisor instructed her to cut through the face of the fetus in order to get the brain. ““She gave me the scissors and told me that I had to cut down the middle of the face. I can’t even describe what that feels like,” she says.

The video also features recordings of Dr. Ben Van Handel, the Executive Director of Novogenix Laboratories, LLC, and also of Perrin Larton, Procurement Manager of Advanced Bioscience Resources, Inc. (ABR). Novogenix is the company that has harvested fetal organs from abortions done by Planned Parenthood Federation of America’s Senior Director of Medical Services, Dr. Deborah Nucatola, in Los Angeles, while ABR is the oldest fetal tissue procurement company and works with Planned Parenthood in San Diego and other clinics around the country. Van Handel admits, “There are times when after the procedure is done that the heart actually is still beating,” and Larton describes abortions she has seen where “the fetus was already in the vaginal canal whenever we put her in the stirrups, it just fell out.”

CMP’s Project Lead David Daleiden notes, “Today’s video contains heartrending admissions about the absolute barbarism of Planned Parenthood’s abortion practice and baby parts sales in which fetuses are sometimes delivered intact and alive. Planned Parenthood is a criminal organization from the top down and should be immediately stripped of taxpayer funding and prosecuted for their atrocities against humanity.”

SO AGAIN, is Carly Fiorina a liar?

NO!

The Planned Parenthood history of culling the herd for a better eugenic population is quite old going all the way back to the murder clinic’s founder Margaret Sanger (The Religion of Eugenics and the State – 2011 and Nazism, Eugenics and Abortion – 2009). America’s Left, viz. the Democrat Party (wittingly or unwittingly) is a huge supporter of Planned Parenthood NOT because women’s health issues, but rather to cull the herd.

So when Leftists and Dems call Carly Fiorina a liar YOU KNOW it is disinformation to fool the masses of Leftist good intentions that are really a continuation of the transformation process Obama began inflicting America with in 2008.

Liberals Accuse Carly Fiorina of ‘Lying’ About Graphic Planned Parenthood Video Description During GOP Debate — but What’s the Full Story?

By Billy Hallowell

Sep. 17, 2015 1:15pm

The Blaze

Some on the left are accusing Republican presidential candidate Carly Fiorina of lying after she said during Wednesday night’s debate that undercover Planned Parenthood footage shows a “fully formed fetus” alive on a table as “someone says we have to keep it alive to harvest its brain.”

Slate flatly accused Fiorina of “lying” after she directly challenged Hillary Clinton and President Barack Obama to watch the videos, while a writer at Refinery29 dismissed Fiorina’s “graphic” and “upsetting” claims as “totally made-up.”

The debate is noteworthy given the general consensus that Fiorina’s excoriating comments were among her strongest moments during the debate.

“Anyone who has watched this video tape — I dare Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama to watch these tapes. Watch a fully formed fetus on the able, its heart beating, its legs kicking, while someone says we have to keep it alive to harvest its brain,” Fiorina said. “This is about the character of our nation. And if we will not stand up and force President Obama to veto this bill, then shame on us.”

VIDEO: Carly Fiorina Response to Planned Parenthood on CNN Debate | The Blaze

Slate writer Amanda Marcotte correctly noted that the publicly released undercover footage released by the anti-abortion Center for Medical Ethics does not show such a scene, writing that there are no images of babies “kicking or hearts beating.” Vox reporter Sarah Kliff also declared that Fiorina was “wrong,” noting that she watched all 12 hours of released footage and never saw such a thing.

However, Fiorina was not concocting the story out of thin air; most of the details that she described were recounted in an accompanying mini-documentary series also produced by the Center for Medical Progress.

Holly O’Donnell, a former blood and tissue procurement technician, described in the Center for Medical Progress’ “Human Capital” documentary series how she once saw the heart of a baby still beating after an abortion.

“[The] episode tells a former procurement technician’s harrowing story of harvesting an intact brain from a late-term male fetus whose heart was still beating after the abortion,” a press release accompanying the video’s release last month stated.

The majority of the documentary — the seventh video released overall by the Center for Medical Progress — focused on O’Donnell recounting how she was once asked to help procure brain tissue from a fetus, an experience she said shook her to her core.

“Since the fetus was so intact [my coworker] said, ‘This is a really good fetus, and it looks like we can procure a lot from it. We’re going to procure brain,’” O’Donnell says in the video. “She takes the scissors and she makes a small incision … and goes, I would say to maybe a little bit through the mouth, and she was like, ‘OK, can you go the rest of the way?’”

Watch the video below (caution — graphic): [Blog Editor: I am not showing video as The Blaze story does because it can be viewed above.]

No images from the incident O’Donnell described were shown; however, there are other photos and clips interspersed throughout the video that feature late-term and stillborn fetuses.

One of those photos caused some critics to object last month that the Center for Medical Progress was misleading viewers: it showed an image of a stillborn baby as O’Donnell described the brain procurement procedure. Kliff described it as “stock footage.”

The image of the stillborn baby, Walter Fretz, who was born at 19 weeks, was originally included without any notation about where the photo came from; his mother has since said that she did not agree with the use of her son’s image by the Center for Medical Progress, according to the Christian Post.

At another point in the documentary, footage of a different fetus was interspersed, seemingly for effect, as O’Donnell described in a voice-over the features of the fetus from which she procured brain tissue. As she spoke of the baby’s facial features, video rolled of a late-term fetus moving its limbs, with a credit that read, “Courtesy of Grantham Collection & Center for Bio-Ethical Reform.”

Mollie Hemingway speculated in the Federalist that Fiorina was speaking broadly about the 10 videos released by the Center for Medical Progress, noting that the seventh video featuring O’Donnell “does, in fact, show a fully formed fetus, heart beating and legs licking.”

Other videos in the series did feature the remains of deceased fetuses inside pathology labs as well.

VIDEO: Carly talks to Good Morning America about the debate and Planned Parenthood

Fiorina appeared on “Good Morning America” on Thursday morning to discuss her debate performance, doubling down on her claims about Planned Parenthood, while pushing back against some of her critics.

“I didn’t misspeak … . This kind of butchery erodes the character of our nation,” Fiorina said. ”Rest assured, I have seen the images I talked about last night. Rest assured that human lives are being aborted fully formed in order to harvest body parts.”

David Daleiden, the project lead for the Center for Medical Progress, told TheBlaze in a statement that “the footage in question was from Grantham Collection & Center for Bio-Ethical Reform used to illustrate the first person eye witness testimony of Holly O’Donnell of the barbaric acts committed inside Planned Parenthood abortion facilities.”

“Planned Parenthood and their supporters are afraid to watch and talk about this footage because it shows their illicit baby parts trade for what it really is: the industrial-scale commodification and exploitation of tiny human beings,” Daleiden said.

House Passes Bill to Hold Planned Parenthood Criminally Liable for Harvesting Aborted Babies Still Alive

By STEVEN ERTELT

September 18, 2015 12:56PM

LifeNews.com

The House of Representatives today approved a pro-life bill that would hold the Planned Parenthood abortion business criminally liable for harvesting body parts from aborted babies who are technically still alive.

The center for Medical Progress has released 10 videos catching and exposing Planned Parenthood officials selling aborted babies and their body parts. One of the most shocking videos caught the nation’s biggest abortion business harvesting the brain of an aborted baby who was still alive.

The Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, sponsored by pro-life Congressman Trent Franks would make failure to provide standard medical care to children born alive during an abortion a federal crime. It would also apply stronger penalties in cases where an overt act is taken to kill the abortion survivor.

Under the pro-life bill there is also a civil right of action for mothers of children who survive an abortion to hold the abortion provider accountable.

Congressman Chris Smith implored the House to pass the bill.

SIGN THE PETITION! Congress Must De-Fund Planned Parenthood Immediately

“Undercover videos by the Center for Medical Progress have again brought into sharp focus that some babies actually survive abortion,” the New jersey congressman said. ”

Dr. Savita Ginde, Medical Director of Planned Parenthood Rocky Mountains says “sometimes we get—if someone delivers before we get to see them for a procedure—they are intact…” that is, Madame Speaker, born alive. Breathing, crying, gasping for air. One fetal tissue broker describes on the video watching a “fetus …just fall out.” And left to die.”

“We have a duty to protect these vulnerable children from violence, exploitation and death. Humanitarian due diligence requires that born alive babies be taken to a hospital to obtain care and enhance prospects of survival,” Smith added. “Abortion clinics have no incentive whatsoever to save the child. Abortion clinics do not have neonatal intensive care units—they are in the business of killing babies, not saving them.”

“The Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act (H.R. 3504), authored by pro-life champion Trent Franks simply says any child who survives an abortion must be given the same care as any other premature baby born at the same gestational age. This legislation builds on the landmark Born Alive Infant Protection Act of 2002 authored by Steve Chabot by adding important enforcement provisions,” he concluded.

The House voted 248 to 177 for the bill with 239 Republicans voting for the bill and 5 Democrats joining them. No Republicans voted against the pro-life bill while 177 Democrats voted against it. One member voted present.

A rpo-life sneator (sic) says he will introduce the Senate version of the bill on Monday. Senator Ben Sasse told LifeNews.com that he will introduce companion legislation in the Senate when Congress resumes its work on Monday.

He said: “If this isn’t the most non-controversial sentence in American politics, it’s time to check our national conscience: newborn babies must receive care and attention. Societies are judged by how we care for the vulnerable and surely anyone with a heart— regardless of where they stand on the abortion debate— should be able to agree that our laws should protect newborns. I’m grateful that a bipartisan majority of the House stood up for babies and I look forward to introducing companion legislation in the Senate next week.”

Despite passage of the bill, the Obama administration says President Barack Obama would veto the measure. The position statement explaining the opposition to the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act says the pro-life bill “would impose new legal requirements related to the provision of abortion services in certain circumstances, which would likely have a chilling effect, reducing access to care.”

As pro-life Congressman Chris Smith explains, this has Obama on record once again opposing care for babies born alive who survive abortions. Obama clearly either believes that killing babies after they are born is a reasonable part of an abortion or he fears that abortion companies like Planned Parenthood would stop doing abortions before they would be willing to comply with a requirement to save the babies that survive them.

“Late yesterday the President demonstrated that his subservience to Planned Parenthood is absolute and without question,” said Smith. “Blindly following the orders of Planned Parenthood, the largest abortion provider in the country, the President issued an extreme unequivocal statement that he would veto the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, a bill that simply says a child that survives an abortion must be given the same care as any other premature baby born at the same gestational age and forbidding acts of lethal violence against such babies.”

Smith told LifeNews.com: “We are talking about babies that have been BORN ALIVE and are separate from their mothers,” Smith said. “Yet President Obama’s extreme obsession with promoting abortion doesn’t stop with killing unborn children. Even abortion survivors are not safe from this President and Planned Parenthood. Can we not treat these tiny infants as a person—as patients? According to the Abortion President and the largest abortion provider in the nation, the answer is a resounding NO.

Follow LifeNews.com on Instragam for pro-life pictures and the latest pro-life news.

Smith continued: “These extreme statements demonstrate just who we are dealing with in the White House, but the question remains. Will Members of the House and Senate follow the lead of the abortion giant, Planned Parenthood? Or will they at least draw a line at infanticide and vote for a law protect abortion survivors and ensure people like Kermit Gosnell who kill babies who survive abortions are prosecuted and brought to justice?”

In the video CMP released exposing how Planned Parenthood harvests organs from babies who are still alive, the video features Holly O’Donnell, a licensed phlebotomist who unsuspectingly took a job as a “procurement technician” at the fetal tissue company and biotech start-up StemExpress in late 2012. That’s the company that acts as a middleman and purchases the body parts of aborted babies from Planned Parenthood to sell to research universities and other places. StemExpress was partnered with Planned Parenthood up until last week, when it quietly announced it ended its relationship with the abortion corporation.

The video includes O’Donnell’s eyewitness narrative of the daily practice of fetal body parts harvesting in Planned Parenthood abortion clinics. She tells the harrowing story of harvesting an intact brain from a late-term male unborn baby whose heart was still beating after the abortion.

O’Donnell describes the harvesting, or “procurement,” of organs from a nearly intact late-term baby aborted at Planned Parenthood Mar Monte’s Alameda clinic in San Jose, California.

The procurement of body parts from aborted babies who are still alive is a violation of the Born-Alive Infants Protection Act, a pro-life bill President George W. Bush signed into law to protect unborn babies who survive abortions. Now, Congress wants to add teeth to that law to make it so Planned Parenthood or other abortion companies would be held criminally liable for breaking the law.

The National Right to Life Committee provided LifeNews a detailed analysis of the groundbreaking new pro-life legislation, H.R. 3504. The information comes in the form of a letter from top NRLC officials to members of Congress urging a vote for the bill.

In 2002, Congress approved, without a dissenting vote, the Born-Alive Infants Protection Act (BAIPA), subsequently signed into law by President George W. Bush and codified as 1 U.S.C. §8. This important law states that “every infant member of the species homo sapiens who is born alive at any stage of development” is a “person” for all federal law purposes. The bill defines “born alive” in terms of explicit criteria – “complete expulsion from his or her mother . . . at any stage of development, who after such expulsion or extraction breathes or has a beating heart, pulsation of the umbilical cord, or definite movement of voluntary muscles, regardless of whether the umbilical cord has been cut, and regardless of whether the expulsion or extraction occurs as a result of natural or induced labor, cesarean section, or induced abortion.”

The BAIPA was a response to troubling indications, well summarized in the House Judiciary Committee’s excellent 2001 report on the legislation, that some abortion providers and pro-abortion activists did not regard infants born alive during abortion procedures as legal persons – especially if the infants were deemed to be “pre-viable” (i.e., have limited life expectancy due to prematurity). Such a mindset puts a substantial number of live-born infant persons in jeopardy of gross neglect or overt violence. Live birth, as defined in 1 U.S.C. §8, may occur a month before “viability.” BAIPA made it crystal clear that life expectancy is entirely irrelevant for purposes of legal personhood.

However, in the years since 1 U.S.C. §8 was enacted, evidences have multiplied that some abortion providers do not regard babies born alive during abortions as persons, and do not provide them with the types of care that would be provided to premature infants who are born spontaneously. In some cases, such born-alive infants are even subjected to overt acts of deadly violence. In 2013, Dr. Kermit Gosnell of Philadelphia was convicted under state law of multiple homicides of such born-alive infants, but such a prosecution and conviction is uncommon. In some jurisdictions, local authorities seem reluctant to investigate reports of infants born alive during abortions, or to bring appropriate indictments even in cases in which the publicly reported evidence of gross neglect or overt lethal acts seems strong.

Public concern has been increased by a recent series of hidden-camera videos released by the Center for Medical Progress, in which various persons described events and practices within certain Planned Parenthood abortion clinics that, at the very least, raise questions about whether it is generally recognized among abortion-clinic personnel that a born-alive baby is a legal “person,” whether before or after “viability.” Other passages raise similar questions regarding some persons who operate firms that obtain and sell baby body parts, obtained from abortion clinics.

National Right to Life believes that it is time for Congress to act decisively to put the entire abortion industry on notice that when they treat a born-alive human person as medical waste, as a source for organ harvesting, or as a creature who may be subjected to lethal violence with impunity, they will do so at grave legal peril. H.R. 3504 would enact an explicit requirement that a baby born alive during an abortion must be afforded “the same degree” of care that would apply “to any other child born alive at the same gestational age,” including transportation to a hospital. This language does not dictate bona fide medical judgments nor require futile measures, but rather, requires that babies born alive during abortions are treated in the same manner as those who are spontaneously born prematurely. This language is based on very similar provisions contained within H.R. 36, passed by the House of Representatives on May 13, 2015.

In addition, the bill applies the existing penalties of 18 U.S.C. Sec. 1111 (the federal murder statute) to anyone who performs “an overt act that kills a child born alive.” This would apply, for example, to an abortion clinic staff person who dissects a breathing born-alive infant in order to harvest an intact liver, or to an abortionist who ends a born-alive baby’s whimpers with a sharp blow to the skull, or by snipping the spine.

In addition, the bill provides a civil cause of action to women who are harmed by violations of the act. The civil action provisions are similar to language in H.R. 36.

My Thoughts on CNN GOP Debate

I DVRed the CNN GOP debate and watched it this morning. Upon my quick perusal online and on Cable News shows I got the feeling political pundits are giving Carly Fiorina the top spot and that the Dems are calling the debate a farce. Frankly I could care less what Dems think because in all probability the Dems won’t be involved in GOP Primaries and Caucuses. (Although the Dems have a reputation for registering the likes of Mickey Mouse, dead Uncle Joe, dead Aunt Jane, non-citizen/non-registered Illegal Aliens and so forth.)

Here is the order I felt debate winners should have went:

1) Carly Fiorina

2) John Kasich

3) Marco Rubio

4) Mike Huckabee

5) Donald Trump

6) Chris Christie

7) Ted Cruz

8) Ben Carson

9) Scott Walker

10)Jeb Bush

11)Rand Paul

In full disclosure, I don’t think Donald Trump would be an effective President; HOWEVER Mr. Trump’s issue that rings with me is immigration (though maybe not quite as harsh). And frankly Trump’s make America strong and turn the screws to avoid bad deals ranks high with me as well (e.g. Obamacare & Iran Nuke Deal). For volumes of other issues (social & political) I have the feeling Mr. Trump could rub various Conservatives of political power the wrong way thus stalling legislation more than moving legislation along.

I ranked Carly Fiorina first because she displayed strength amongst the big boys, had a specific agenda to make America strong and respected again all surrounded with forthright confidence. I could care less that Ms. Fiorina is a woman. As a candidate she came across as resolute.

I’m a little surprised that John Kasich was given such a low rank by the pundit experts and the various unscientific polls I viewed on the Internet. I felt has campaign thoughts were very well reasoned. For example he wouldn’t simply toss out the Iran Nuke Deal but follow through the so-called snap-back stipulations of the deal when Iran fails on its part (AND MAKE NO MISTAKE – IRAN HAS NO INTENTION OF HONORING the Obama-Kerry deal). Frankly the Kasich reasoning will play better with our European allies who still enjoy our involvement in NATO yet starving for the potential oil Iran might offer.

Marco Rubio provided the best Conservative response among the U.S. Senators that went past the right words but included reasoned passion.

Mike Huckabee didn’t have a lot of time to make some political points, BUT the air time he managed to get was awesome. He was a good Conservative while avoiding the mutual insults that Donald Trump managed to drag his closest rivals into.

I ranked Trump after Huckabee. Let’s be honest. Trump is not number one in the polls because of details, but rather for giving voice to Americans weary of Obama’s screw-ups, immigration policies, all white people are evil – especially cops (e.g. Federal investigation in Ferguson aimed at police rather than an 18 year old thug), the ineffective debacle Americans call Obamacare and Executive Orders that by-pass Congress in a questionable Constitutional manner (e.g. Iran Nuke Deal). Even if Trump couldn’t pull off half of what he says he will do, because he says it, if nominated I will vote for him. In the GOP Primary in my State I’ll be voting for someone else.

I actually liked what Chris Christie said, but there something I can’t put my finger on that seems amenable to the Republican Establishment. Yet I’d vote for him if he was the nominee.

Ted Cruz was my early favorite when he first announced his candidacy for POTUS. AND I still like Senator Cruz a lot; however his debate performance looked more like campaign ad paid for and approved by Ted Cruz for President.

Ben Carson is another person I’d vote for if he won the nomination; however I sense this very nice guy’s neurosurgeon experience may not be enough to run the Executive Branch of the United States of America.

I like Scott Walker but his debate last night was not memorable.

If Jeb Bush won the nomination I’d vote for him. YET Jeb is too friendly on illegal immigrants and he is supportive of federally mandated Common Core. Although I felt the latter years of Jeb’s brother’s policy decisions too often was friendly with Muslims that were more Salafists than a notion of peaceful (e.g. CAIR), President George W. Bush was a hero in projecting strength after 9/11. He invaded Afghanistan for harboring al Qaeda and Usama bin Laden. Even though the intelligence was off on Iraq, G.W. Bush didn’t take chances and toppled a vicious dictator in Saddam Hussein. THE ONLY reason ISIS/Daesh became an Islamic terrorist power in Iraq and Syria has nothing to do with invading Iraq but rather with Obama pulling out of Iraq lock, stock and barrel. Iraq’s religious schism and the distrust of Iraqi Kurds of Arab Sunnis and Shias rise ripe for government disintegration.

I love Senator Rand Paul’s domestic agenda and his anti-abortion stand. However, his national policies of pseudo-isolationism is a Libertarian path that will result in the same outcomes that President Barack Hussein Obama has led America.

Well those are my two cents that I got a feeling a lot of my fellow Conservatives will find fault with; however November 2016 is far off still and the number of candidates will be whittled down substantially especially after the early Primaries and Caucuses.

Here are some polls and/or rankings from either an unscientific Internet vote or a political pundit.

Here is the complete list of results from the Newsmax poll (as of 2:15 PM CT):

Donald Trump 46.26%
Carly Fiorina 20.11%
Sen. Marco Rubio 9.32%
Dr. Ben Carson 9.22%
Sen. Ted Cruz 5.67%
Gov. John Kasich 3.10%
Gov. Chris Christie 2.14%
Gov. Jeb Bush 1.45%
Sen. Rand Paul 1.27%
Gov. Mike Huckabee 1.04%
Gov. Scott Walker 0.41% (Trump Is Runaway Debate Winner Newsmax Poll; By Cathy Burke; Newsmax; 9/17/15 08:40 AM)

The candidates? Here’s how I’d [i.e. Bobby Eberle] rank them… not necessarily on substance (especially Bush) but rather how they did last night and whether their performance will tend to help them.

1. Carly Fiorina — Easy Pick. She won.
2. Marco Rubio — Passionate answers and showed a grasp of the issues
3. Ted Cruz — Needs to work on his delivery, but every single answer is the best.
4. Jeb Bush — He was more energetic, and people will see it and his name, and he’ll likely move up.
5. Chris Christie — Answered everything well.
6. Mike Huckabee — Great answers, just limited time.
7. Donald Trump — He went in as the frontrunner and didn’t hurt himself. However, he’s going to need to add more substance going forward.
8. Ben Carson
9. Scott Walker
10. John Kasich
11. Rand Paul (GOP Candidates Spar for Three Hours… But Who Won? By Bobby Eberle; GOP USA; 9/17/15 7:13 am)

Carly Fiorina was the victor by acclamation, having clearly done her homework. It seemed as if she were giving a verbal PowerPoint presentation full of solid information and proposals for actually doing something. She clearly showed she belonged at the prime time debate.

But, contrary to Beltway groupthink, we think Marco Rubio outshined her. Rather than having crammed for an exam, policy was second nature to him. He was so familiar with the material, he did more than recite it — he showed he’d be comfortable leading with it. His mastery of issues put him head and shoulders above anyone else on the stage last night. (GOP Debate Overview and Highlights; By Mark Alexander and Nate Jackson; The Patriot Post; 9/17/15)

The Winners:

Marco Rubio and Carly Fiorina were the two standouts in Wednesday’s debate.

Rubio brought an appealing mix of the common touch and tough talk on foreign policy to the debate stage. Unlike some other candidates, he didn’t seem like he was elbowing his way into the debate, so it “felt” like he was a featured speaker. He sounded like the grownup in the room when he tussled with Trump on foreign policy. …

Fiorina was smart and scrappy. Her Planned Parenthood screed was fantastic. She rightly redirected the focus away from the faux “women’s healthcare” straw man (straw woman?) to the real issue of Planned Parenthood selling chopped-up babies. Other candidates ought to take note. Carly does need to soften her edges a bit because she tends to dial it up to harsh and stay there.

Middle of the Pack:

Ted Cruz was brilliant and in command of the facts …

Mike Huckabee’s shining moment was his defense of religious liberty. He noted that GITMO prisoners are afforded more religious accommodations than county clerks in Kentucky. He has a point.

Chris Christie also had a good night and he landed some solid blows in Trump’s direction. But he was crowded out by Carly and Rubio …

Walker had some good moments, but not enough of them. I honestly do not remember one thing he said.

Jeb Bush didn’t do anything to help himself in this debate, but he wasn’t as terrible as he could have been and didn’t cede any of his (already shaky) ground. …

The Losers:

Ben Carson was out of his element. Completely. …

Donald Trump, as usual, was boorish and didn’t give substantive answers to important questions. …

Rand Paul tried to salvage his floundering campaign with appeals to the hardcore libertarians who supported his father, but he was too wonky and not likable.

John Kasich’s answers on foreign policy were bizarre. He seriously defended Obama’s Iran deal. And then he didn’t. Or did he? Who knows? He said two things that are in conflict: a) We shouldn’t trust the Iranians and b) if they cheat, the sanctions should be lifted. … [Blog Editor: I stand with my understanding of Kasich and the Iran Nuke Deal. See above.]

Here is how I [i.e. Brian] would rate the debate performances:

1. Carly Fiorina – I would say Fiorina helped herself the most. She was very articulate and was able multiple times to reel off a litany of specifics on various subjects. She came across as tough and determined. You could see how she could be the person in the Oval Office. I will be shocked if Fiorina does not come out of this debate with a huge boost in the polls.

2. Chris Christie – He was very good tonight, and should get a boost in the polls off of this performance. He was direct and tough, taking on several of his fellow-candidates on issues.

3. Marco Rubio – While he comes across too much as if he is lecturing everyone, Rubio had a good night, focusing on Foreign Policy. He got a lot of time to talk, which should mean more of a lasting impression.

4. Donald Trump – Trump did not really get hurt badly in this debate. I thought he might get really beaten up with everyone gunning for him. But he held his own, made no major gaffes, and should remain a strong candidate. A case could be made for him to be much higher in the debate ranking simply because, as the front-runner, he did no harm.

5. Ted Cruz – He was very good – but got shorted on time. When he did speak, he clearly set himself forth as the true conservative on the stage.

6. Jeb Bush – He had some good moments, but still came across as trying to hard sometimes in the exchanges with Donald Trump. But this was better than his first debate.

7. Rand Paul – He got quite a bit of time to talk and he did well at articulating his more libertarian philosophy. I don’t think it will mean much of a boot in the polls, but he was better tonight than in the first debate.

8. John Kasich – He didn’t get much time to talk and really did nothing to distinguish himself in this debate. He needed to do that.

9. Mike Huckabee – He also didn’t get much talking time, and when he did, he didn’t really connect with what he was saying. He needed to have a “Wow” moment.

10. Scott Walker – I don’t know what has happened to Walker. He seemed so detached and really does not connect with his answers. I think he did himself no good with this debate.

11. Ben Carson – This really shocks me. But Carson truly hurt himself with this debate performance. I don’t know how much play it will get, but Ben Carson actually said George W. Bush should not have attacked Afghanistan after September 11, 2001. … (Rating the Candidates from the CNN GOP Presidential Debate: Fiorina Shines, Trump Holds His Own, Carson Stumbles; Posted by Brian; Freedom’s Lighthouse; 9/17/15)

VIDEO: Carly Fiorina For President Video

I don’t know if I’m a Carly Fiorina supporter yet, but what I do know is I’m loving Ms. Fiorina’s castigation of the Benghazigate liar Hillary Clinton. Jim Kouri wrote a post yesterday about Fiorina’s criticism of candidate Hillary.

In reading Kouri’s article I discovered he also wrote a piece on Taya Kyle’s awesome criticism of Hillary’s aspiration on being a Liar-in-Chief successor to President Barack Hussein Obama.

Carly Fiorina to GOP: Keep bashing Clinton over her Benghazi cover up

By Jim Kouri

July 1, 2015 5:52 PM MST

Examiner.com

The only female presidential candidate running for the GOP nomination, the former CEO of Hewlitt(sic)-Packard, Carly Fiorina told the nationally-syndicated radio host Hugh Hewitt on Tuesday that the GOP’s eventual nominee in 2016 should stop listening to commentators and drive home the facts regarding the deadly terror attack in Benghazi “over and over and over.”

Almost three years after the Sept. 11, 2012, massacre at a U.S. diplomatic mission in the large Libyan city, and government watchdogs, inspectors general and lawmakers in both houses of Congress are still trying to obtain documents from then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, the Department of State, the Obama White House and others in order to understand the “who, what, when, where, how, and why” of the slaughter.

For example, it was recently discovered that the one of the Clinton family “lackeys,” Sidney Blumenthal, was emailing then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton advice on diplomatic matters in Libya much earlier than she first claimed. Clinton had used him as a member of the staff from her and Bill Clinton’s charity, the Clinton Foundation. She used him even after the White House was on record blocking Blumenthal from becoming a part of her staff, according to emails released late Tuesday by the State Department.

Fiorina appearing with radio host Hugh Hewitt said that the Benghazi Islamist attack’s aftermath looked like a cover up was taking place especially with the emails between President Barack Obama and then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton having been extensively redacted.

The public-interest watchdog Judicial Watch reported this week that Mrs. Clinton and President Obama on the night of the Benghazi attack and murders were exchanging emails which had not been turned over to the Oversight Committee, and which have in fact been redacted.

“[I]t certainly appears that Mrs. Clinton and President Obama — Secretary of State Clinton and President Obama — knew immediately that these were terrorist attacks, that they had been preplanned, that this was not a casual demonstration. And yet, both of them… stood over coffins and told the American people for many weeks following that, that this was a demonstration, that we couldn’t have predicted this,” Fiorina told Hewitt.

Fiorina reminded the listening audience that Clinton angrily exclaimed during a congressional hearing, “What possible difference could it make why or how these Americans were murdered.” Fiorina said many thought in 2012 that the Benghazi tragedy and the cover up were going to derail the Obama campaign. “[I thought it would] be Obama’s great Achilles’ heel in the 2012 election. It turned out not to be the case,” she said.

Fiorina then placed the blame on the GOP’s 2012 candidate, Mitt Romney, for not pushing this case of an executive branch cover up. “Our nominee wouldn’t drive the point home, which is why no matter how bad Benghazi looks now, we’d better have a nominee next summer who will drive this point home over and over and over in the debates, because otherwise, I fear Mrs. Clinton will get away with Benghazi just as President Obama did,” Fiorina said.

‘American Sniper’ widow Taya Kyle blasts Hillary Clinton’s leadership, morality

By Jim Kouri

June 29, 2015 11:23 AM MST

Examiner.com

The widow of the iconic the American warrior and subject of a blockbuster motion picture, Chris Kyle, unlike too many so-called conservative commentators, has been quite blunt in describing her thoughts and feelings about the media darling and presidential heir apparent, Hillary Clinton. For example, on a radio talk show appearance on Friday, Taya Kyle tore into Mrs. Clinton, especially about her role in the Benghazi massacre and her actions and statements in the aftermath of that Islamic terrorist attack, that displayed Clinton’s lack of leadership and her moral deficiency.

The visibly angry and disgusted wife of the man known as “American Sniper” blasted the former First Lady, U.S. Senator and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s inadequacies for the position of Commander in Chief, especially in light of her responses to the Benghazi attack. Mrs. Clinton — who, unlike Taya, is married to a draft-dodger — began her alleged cover up by first blaming an obscure anti-Muslim Internet video, but then admitted the attackers were Islamic terrorists days after just about everyone else in Washington, D.C., knew it was a planned terrorist ambush.

Born April 8, 1974, in Odessa, Texas, Christopher Scott Kyle signed up with the U.S. Navy soon after watching the events following two terrorist attacks on U.S. Embassies in 1998. A crack shot since a young boy he was quickly assigned to the Navy’s elite SEALs unit. As a Navy SEAL, Kyle served four one-year tours of duty in Iraq as a sniper and was credited with killing 160 enemy fighters thereby saving countless American lives. His own story, American Sniper, became a bestselling book that was turned into a big-budget Hollywood film by another American icon, Clint Eastwood.

Among terrorists and insurgents he was called “The Devil of Ramadi.” Al-Qaida in Iraq also placed a $20,000 bounty on his head. Kyle’s earned two Silver Stars and five Bronze Stars. His murder — by a former Marine whom he was attempting to help with his Post-Traumatic-Stress Disorder — drew an enormous outpouring of support, especially in Texas, where an estimated 7,000 people attended a public service for the late SEAL at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington. Sadly, President Barack Obama did not attend Kyle’s memorial.

During the Herald Radio interview on Friday, Taya Kyle discussed the subject of Benghazi and what she believes is a grand cover up. She told the listening audience she was “appalled that [Hillary] Clinton had the audacity to sit there and say, ‘Look people die in America every day, what’s the big deal.’ It’s almost like the real world doesn’t apply to her anymore, it doesn’t affect her, she doesn’t care.”

“The fact that we’re talking about Hillary Clinton doing anything, especially leading our country, is so frustrating to me, because of her lack of morality, because of her lack of concern and compassion… God forbid if she got elected [President of the United States],” said Taya. She also sounded disgusted that the U.S. government failed to send in help during the Benghazi attack. But to Mrs. Kyle’s sensibility the worst offense is Clinton’s handling of the situation. “Maybe [Hillary Clinton] has been in the system so long that she’s lost sight of it,” Taya said.

Taya Renae Kyle was born September 4, 1974, the same year as her beloved husband Kyle. She is now an author and veteran family activist. In the movie by Clinton Eastwood, she is portrayed by actress Sienna Miller. Kyle’s first book, “American Wife: A Memoir of Love, Service, Faith, and Renewal” is a bestseller.
