Let’s Get ALAC on GOP Party Platform

Sharia Explained

American Laws for American Courts (ALAC) should be an Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. ACT for America (or at least a Chapter member) has discovered the GOP is asking voter participation in developing the Republican Party platform. I’ll get to how you too can participate in a moment; you need to have an understanding of what exactly ALAC is. Here is model for ALAC as promoted by American Public Policy Alliance (APPA):

[ALAC] MODEL LEGISLATION

AN ACT to protect rights and privileges granted under the United States or [State] Constitution.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE [GENERAL ASSEMBLY/LEGISLATURE] OF THE STATE OF [_____]:

The [general assembly/legislature] finds that it shall be the public policy of this state to protect its citizens from the application of foreign laws when the application of a foreign law will result in the violation of a right guaranteed by the constitution of this state or of the United States, including but not limited to due process, freedom of religion, speech, or press, and any right of privacy or marriage as specifically defined by the constitution of this state.

The [general assembly/state legislature] fully recognizes the right to contract freely under the laws of this state, and also recognizes that this right may be reasonably and rationally circumscribed pursuant to the state’s interest to protect and promote rights and privileges granted under the United States or [State] Constitution, including but not limited to due process, freedom of religion, speech, or press, and any right of privacy or marriage as specifically defined by the constitution of this state.

[1] As used in this act, “foreign law, legal code, or system” means any law, legal code, or system of a jurisdiction outside of any state or territory of the United States, including, but not limited to, international organizations and tribunals, and applied by that jurisdiction’s courts, administrative bodies, or other formal or informal tribunals For the purposes of this act, foreign law shall not mean, nor shall it include, any laws of the Native American tribes in this state.

[2] Any court, arbitration, tribunal, or administrative agency ruling or decision shall violate the public policy of this State and be void and unenforceable if the court, arbitration, tribunal, or administrative agency bases its rulings or decisions in the matter at issue in whole or in part on any law, legal code or system that would not grant the parties affected by the ruling or decision the same fundamental liberties, rights, and privileges granted under the U.S. and [State] Constitutions, including but not limited to due process, freedom of religion, speech, or press, and any right of privacy or marriage as specifically defined by the constitution of this state.

[3] A contract or contractual provision (if capable of segregation) which provides for the choice of a law, legal code or system to govern some or all of the disputes between the parties adjudicated by a court of law or by an arbitration panel arising from the contract mutually agreed upon shall violate the public policy of this State and be void and unenforceable if the law, legal code or system chosen includes or incorporates any substantive or procedural law, as applied to the dispute at issue, that would not grant the parties the same fundamental liberties, rights, and privileges granted under the U.S. and [State] Constitutions, including but not limited to due process, freedom of religion, speech, or press, and any right of privacy or marriage as specifically defined by the constitution of this state.

[4]

1)      A. A contract or contractual provision (if capable of segregation) which provides for a jurisdiction for purposes of granting the courts or arbitration panels in personam jurisdiction over the parties to adjudicate any disputes between parties arising from the contract mutually agreed upon shall violate the public policy of this State and be void and unenforceable if the jurisdiction chosen includes any law, legal code or system, as applied to the dispute at issue, that would not grant the parties the same fundamental liberties, rights, and privileges granted under the U.S. and [State] Constitutions, including but not limited to due process, freedom of religion, speech, or press, and any right of privacy or marriage as specifically defined by the constitution of this state.

2)      B. If a resident of this state, subject to personal jurisdiction in this state, seeks to maintain litigation, arbitration, agency or similarly binding proceedings in this state and if the courts of this state find that granting a claim of forum non conveniens or a related claim violates or would likely violate the fundamental liberties, rights, and privileges granted under the U.S. and [State] Constitutions of the non-claimant in the foreign forum with respect to the matter in dispute, then it is the public policy of this state that the claim shall be denied.

[5] Without prejudice to any legal right, this act shall not apply to a corporation, partnership, limited liability company, business association, or other legal entity that contracts to subject itself to foreign law in a jurisdiction other than this state or the United States.

[6] This subsection shall not apply to a church, religious corporation, association, or society, with respect to the individuals of a particular religion regarding matters that are purely ecclesiastical, to include, but not be limited to, matters of calling a pastor, excluding members from a church, electing church officers, matters concerning church bylaws, constitution, and doctrinal regulations and the conduct of other routine church business, where 1) the jurisdiction of the church would be final; and 2) the jurisdiction of the courts of this State would be contrary to the First Amendment of the United States and the Constitution of this State. This exemption in no way grants permission for any otherwise unlawful act under the guise of First Amendment protection.

[7] This statute shall not be interpreted by any court to conflict with any federal treaty or other international agreement to which the United States is a party to the extent that such treaty or international agreement preempts or is superior to state law on the matter at issue. (Legislation > American Laws for American Courts; APPA – READ ENTIRETY]

There have been a lot of States that have passed legislation or State Constitutional Amendments to prevent the precedents of foreign laws as case law in State Courts. Unfortunately the initial States that have fully gotten a hold of this idea have had their State laws stricken by Federal Courts.

Now why in the world would a Federal Court strike down a law that affirmed the primacy of both the Federal Constitution and a State’s Constitution? The answer is quite simple really. The initial visionaries tried to keep foreign law from getting a toe-hold in America, but because Islam’s Sharia Law was specified in the State laws and/or Amendments Radical Muslim organizations such as CAIR brought suit.

Oklahoma’s anti-foreign law prevention Amendment indeed focused on Sharia and was passed by 70% of the voters. Remarkably shortly after CAIR-OK brought suit and got a Federal Judge to stop implementation until further review on the grounds of Religious Liberty. It didn’t matter to the Judge that Sharia is a bigoted, intolerant and anti-woman’s Rights religious set of laws.

Other States made the same mistake that Oklahoma made. Then some brilliant legal thinking figured out how to make legislation aimed at foreign laws without specifying anything to do with religion; hence ALAC was born.

Although ALAC does not mention Sharia Law, the wording would include any foreign based law not having standing in America if it contradicted the U.S. Constitution or a State’s Constitution.

We have an awesome opportunity to influence the Republican Party Platform by seconding the ALAC suggestion.

Go to GOP.com Party Platform 2012 to register, you will be tempted to make your own suggestion. Do your own suggestion later. To support ALAC scroll down until you find American Law for American Courts and click the Button that Seconds the idea. ALAC may or may not be on page one. It was on page two when I seconded ALAC. I think (but not sure) you can Second on the comment page which is located here for American Law for American Courts.

One of our chapter leaders submitted a request to the Republican Party platform committee that a plank be added to the platform supporting ALAC (American Laws for American Courts) legislation.

As you know, we’ve gotten ALAC passed in Tennessee, Arizona and Kansas. Getting a resolution of support for ALAC in the GOP platform would be a big shot in the arm!

You can help make this happen. Visit here and look for the idea that says “American Law for American Courts.” When you find it, click on the option to “second” the idea. You can “second” the proposal by following the prompts to do so either through Facebook or by logging in.

Let’s get their attention and log hundreds, if not thousands, of “seconds” in support of a resolution backing ALAC!

Unfortunately, we have been unable to locate a similar online process for citizen input for the Democratic Party platform. If you are aware of something the Democratic Party is doing that is similar to the Republican Party, please let us know and we’ll put that out in a national email as well.

Tulsa Police Department Chief Jordan Suspends Captain Fields

Stealth Jihad

Jordan Support for Radical Islam Mosque is the Reason

When Tulsa Police Captain Paul Fields was suspended for refusing his Police Chief Charles Jordan’s order to attend the radical Muslim Islamic Society of Tulsa (IST) Mosque, no national MSM outlets chose to make this front page News Paper, Internet, TV or Radio news. It is to us and our social networks and our friends to get the news out that Paul Fields civil rights and religious liberties were violated.

The Global War on Terrorism is a result of Radical Islam. If IST tells you or proclaims that their practice of Islam is peaceful and moderate, that would be a lie! IST is closely aligned with the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) and the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR). Both ISNA and CAIR were unindicted coconspirators in the Holy Land Foundation (HLF) trial. The HLF was once the largest Muslim NGO in America that collected donations which were then funneled to the Islamic Terrorist organization Hamas. Hamas is a Muslim Brotherhood (MB or Ikhwan) affiliate that has the goal of establishing a global Caliphate. The plan for the West is Stealth Jihad (which includes America) to undermine Constitutional given Rights and Liberties to set the conditions for a global Caliphate. In the Muslim World Jihad is fully supported by radical Muslim terrorist organizations and radical Islamic sects. The MB has officially renounced violence but that is merely a bunch Islamic poppycock to deceive the former Mubarak government and the West. The West will probably fully understand that poppycock as MB tentacles slowly wrap around government apparatus of Egypt. It will be amazing how a little power will the colors of radicalism.

This is what Captain Paul Fields refused to attend. This is what Tulsa Police Chief Charles Jordan punished one of his Captains for.

They DO make a difference!!

Do Our Petitions Make a Difference? YES!!!

Why we’re urging you to sign the petition on behalf of Tulsa Police Captain Paul Fields

Occasionally we get emails from our members asking, “If I sign your petition, will it make a difference?”

The answer to that is an emphatic “yes.” Please read on.

Here are just a couple of examples of how ACT! for America petitions have “made a difference.”

The national publicity we generated for our Ground Zero Mosque petition last year helped mobilize public opinion against the project. Brigitte Gabriel did over 200 media interviews about the Ground Zero Mosque and our petition.

The petition gave people an opportunity to take action against the Ground Zero Mosque. It gave them an opportunity to “do something.” And as the number of people signing our petition climbed, so did national public opinion against the proposed mosque. We, of course, were not alone in publicizing opposition to the mosque, but we have no doubt that our media and petition campaign against it helped drive up public opposition.

The petition also helped tens of thousands of people become familiar with ACT! for America, as many of our members forwarded the petition to people they knew.

Early this year we launched a “citizens appeal” to the 112th Congress, a petition containing ten points we want this session of Congress to address.

Members of Congress have indicated to us that efforts like this are very helpful in letting them know that Americans want action on the threat of radical Islam. For instance, Representative Peter King and Representative Sue Myrick know, without a doubt, that we’re standing behind them in their efforts to hold congressional hearings on this threat—hearings which ACT! for America has been calling for since 2009.

What’s more, after Lisa Piraneo, our Director of Government Relations, delivered the petition to congressional leadership, she was asked to meet with staff of a key congressional committee that was interested in pursuing one of the items on our ten point agenda.

So if you’re wondering whether signing our petition on behalf of Captain Fields will make a difference or not, picture this.

Picture an ACT! for America rally in Tulsa, such as in front of the mayor’s office or the police department. Picture Guy Rodgers, our Executive Director, delivering a petition signed by 50,000 Americans. Picture the local media coverage and the public relations spotlight that will be shined on elected officials. (View a short video here of us delivering the Ground Zero Mosque petition in New York.)

Add to this picture a local and nationwide flood of phone calls and emails from ACT! for America members and others to the appropriate government officials in Tulsa, demanding that Captain Fields be reinstated.

Consider the pressure these officials will be under to do the right thing.

Even if Tulsa officials in the face of this pressure refused to reverse the decision to demote and suspend Captain Fields, ask yourself this.

Will they be more or less likely to do something like this again—knowing that countless Americans are ready to rise up again and hold them accountable for doing so? Knowing that many Tulsa citizens will be unhappy with their decisions, thanks to the spotlight we’ve shined on it?

And ask yourself this. What message will be sent to other local elected officials in Oklahoma, or even across the country, about the grassroots uprising that could happen if they did something to a law enforcement officer like what the Tulsa police chief did to Captain Fields? Do you think they’ll be more or less likely to order a police officer to attend what amounted to an Islamic proselytizing event?

This is all about the old axiom, “the squeaky wheel gets the grease.” Nowhere is this more true than in politics.

There’s no guarantee our efforts on behalf of Captain Fields will prevail.

But choosing not to act guarantees the following.

·        Choosing not to act lets Tulsa officials know there is no public relations price to be paid for the action Tulsa’s police chief took. Elected officials don’t like bad publicity—it costs them votes.

·        Choosing not to act lets elected officials in other communities know that they can disregard the constitutional rights of a law enforcement officer in the name of political correctness, because Americans will not stand up and protest this.

So please, don’t for a minute think that adding your name to our petition won’t make a difference. It will—if enough people act. Please sign the petition and forward it to everyone you know today.

Become an Activist to Expose Islam

There is an agenda in Islam for America. It is irrelevant if a Muslim is moderate or radical. Recent polls have demonstrated the spectrum from moderate to radical Islam fully supports the implementation of Sharia Law in America.

Friends, WE CANNOT EVER ALLOW THAT TO HAPPEN IN AMERICA!

Regardless of what a Muslim may tell you, even if that Muslim claims to be moderate, Sharia Law principles are unconstitutional. There is no Free Speech, no Religious Freedom, no Freedom of Conscience, no tolerance for breaking Sharia principles such as homosexuality, greater freedom for females (husbands can beat wives) and more issue too numerous to mention.

Here is some full disclosure: I believe homosexuality is immoral according to the Holy Bible. The Old Testament punishment for homosexuality is death. Thank God for the Blood of Jesus that Redeems Believers from the penalty of the Law of the Old Testament. This is the age of Grace in which God so loved the World that He gave His one and only Son:

14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, 15 that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. 16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

18 “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. 21 But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.”
(John 3: 14 – 21 NKJV)

Do not kill or physically abuse a homosexual because of following sinful darkness, rather share the Good News of the Deliverance of Jesus Christ. If a homosexual receives the Good News then hallelujah, one has entered into the Kingdom and Family of God. If a homosexual rejects the Good News of Jesus Christ then you have done your part of the Great Commission and you have planted a seed that prayerfully another can water to help produce the first blade of the fruit of Redemption.

It is not unconstitutional to be immoral in too many things. The Constitution protects the rights of citizens to have Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness. However, I am one that will fight to prevent the narrowing of the Constitution to specifically add rights to a citizen that specifically provides rights to sinful gender deviance.

I in no way advocate the death of a homosexual because of his lifestyle. However, that is the specific penalty of Sharia Law for a homosexual.

Now I have gone off on a sidebar that needs a return to the topic.

Sharia Law is evil. Muslims who support the institution of Sharia Law in our American Constitutional society are enemies of the Constitution and thus of our nation America. A Constitutional Amendment needs to be specific dividing political anti-constitutional elements from any religion that its followers interpret as a reason to break the rest of the law or to overthrow the nation. Such agitation toward violence to be subversive to overthrow the nation has to be looked upon as either rebellion or foreign intrusion. Utilizing Religious Liberty as a platform to incite terrorism, whether it is Islam or some religious cult, needs a spotlight from a new Constitutional Amendment.

Sure my aim is Islam; however the same Amendment could apply to any religion or political ideology that aims to overthrow the Constitution. I realize there is a fine line of exploitation on the part of the Left to aim at the Christian Right; however no American on the REAL Christian Right advocates the overthrow of the American government. The American Christian Right advocates the prevention of legalizing more and more deplorable sinful deviancy to prevent the decay of America. There is a vast difference between working to protect the Constitution and finding ways to blur the Constitution in order to rid America of the Constitution.

Islamic activists that support the implementation of Sharia Law indeed blur the Constitution with the objective to replace the Constitution with Islamic Supremacist Sharia Law.

I was initially working my to an introduction to a Guy Rodgers of ACT for America call for vigilance to expose Islam and work against the implementation of Sharia Law. Rodgers writes about engaging community organizing (take that Obama), teaching and activism.

Unlike Leftists and Muslim activists/apologists, the activism of ACT for America has zero to do with violence and everything to do with educating Americans about Islam.

Consider these alarming data.

  • ·       A 2003 survey of Detroit-area Muslims conducted by a Muslim organization found that 81% agreed with the statement that sharia law should be imposed in Muslim lands—with 59% strongly agreeing. How likely do you think it is that most of these Muslims also support the imposition of sharia law in America?

  • ·       A 2007 survey of nearly 4,500 Muslims worldwide, including approximately 500 Indonesian Muslims who identified themselves as “moderates,” found over 65% support for a requirement that strict sharia law be applied in all Muslim countries.

  • ·       A Pew study released in 2009 revealed that 78% of Pakistanis supported the death penalty for those who leave Islam and 83% supported stoning adulterers.

  • ·       According to a study just published, which was highlighted in our email Monday, a representative sample of 100 mosques in America found that 81% had moderate to high support for advocating jihad to advance sharia law.

This snapshot leaves us with the unmistakable conclusion: Support for sharia law among Muslims across the world is widespread and growing.

This is what the apologists for radical Islam, those who arrogantly dismiss concerns about sharia law, either are ignorant of or willfully blind to.

Are there “moderate” and “reformist” Muslims who do not subscribe to either violent jihad or stealth jihad, who do not subscribe to the advance of sharia law and the unity of mosque and state? Of course.

We work with some of these leaders and promote what they do. We commend them and hope their efforts succeed.

But, for many reasons, the odds are clearly against them. As the poll results above demonstrate, Islamic organizations and leaders that are committed to the advance of sharia law, either through violent or stealth jihad, are driving the agenda for worldwide Islam.

This is why those who follow ACT! for America see our staff, chapter leaders and members working hard, day in and day out, to build a formidable, ever-increasing national citizen action network, employing strategies and tactics that are producing legislative and other kinds of victories to roll back this threat.

You saw an example of this network in action in our email yesterday, which highlighted chapter leader Michael Hayutin’s challenge to a public school textbook in California. You saw it in the passage of the refugee resettlement legislation in Tennessee.

We are not going to wait until, like the UK, we have sharia courts dotting the American landscape.

Talking about the threat isn’t enough. Education is necessary, but it’s not sufficient. We don’t want to just combat radical Islam—we intend to defeat it. Strategic action is what is needed—and strategic action is what we do.

For example, to challenge the threat of sharia law creeping into our courts, we have thus far gotten bills passed in Arizona and Tennessee that prohibit state courts from using foreign law, and by extension sharia law, in their decisions.

To challenge pro-Islamic bias and indoctrination in public school textbooks, our sister organization, ACT! for America Education, will release this fall an analysis of 38 such textbooks.

We will mail this to every one of America’s 50,000 school board members, and then we will urge ACT! for America chapter leaders and members to pour into school board meetings demanding changes to textbooks to eliminate this bias and indoctrination.

These are just two examples of how we are honing in on the threat and developing and applying strategic action to counter the threat.

We’ve said this before, but it bears repeating: The bigger our national organization becomes, the bigger and more numerous the victories we will achieve.

Vision + Strategy + Organization = Victory.

Or to put it another way:

People power… with a purpose… and a plan… achieves results.

I have reviewed polling data and analyzed how our opposition, such as CAIR, is reacting to national trends. CAIR is clearly desperate as it sees America waking up. We are turning the tide.

And I am convinced that the only thing that will prevent us from prevailing over radical Islam is, to paraphrase Edmund Burke, when “good people do nothing.” Brigitte Gabriel understood the power of organized, strategic action when she had a vision of an organization that is today ACT! for America.

As we are fond of saying, if everyone does a little, together we accomplish a lot. What can you do today?

  • ·       Encourage a friend to sign up for our email alerts.

Yours for a safe and free America,

Guy Rodgers
