Re-litigating the Holy Land Foundation Trial?

Yesterday (2/12/20) Brigitte Gabriel via ACT for America sent out an email alerting her readers that terrorist supporting Islamic organizations are beginning public and legal pressure to remove their Islamic terrorist connections associated with the Holy Land Foundation trial that ended with several guilty verdicts for supporting Hamas Islamic terrorism.

The ACT for America website picked up a 2/7/20 Center for Security Policy (CSP) story on the attempt to erase the unindicted co-conspirator list in America.

Re-litigating the Holy Land Foundation Trial?

Hamas Linked “Bridge Initiative” wants to re-litigate the Holy Land Foundation Trial

The ultimate goal of the Bridge Initiative is to remove Hamas/CAIR and other radical Islamic organizations from the designated terrorist list. The Bin Talal Center claims that the terrorist designation raises issues about “due process, equal protection, judicial deference, the chilling of free speech…”

This is how the EU weasels out of designating Hezbollah as a terrorist entity!

I’ve detailed where projects like the Bridge Initiative get their funding extensively in my book, “Because They Hate.” In 2006 alone, Georgetown University received 28.1 million US dollars from Saudi Arabia to fund programs like their Bridge Initiative.

In 2009, at the request of the White House, Georgetown University covered all religious symbols during an address given by Obama — Georgetown is the oldest Catholic and Jesuit institution of higher education in the United States.

The Bridge Initiative, a project of the Alwaleed Bin Talal Center for Muslim Christian Understanding, continues to embarrass its host, Georgetown University, this time by publishing a “factsheet” in defense of the convicted Hamas fundraising organization known as the Holy Land Foundation.

The sheet is short on facts, and long on emotional appeal. It distorts basic facts about the Holy Land Foundation case, in which the nation’s largest Islamic charity and five of its employees were convicted on 104 felony counts, including providing material support for the terrorist organization Hamas.

While the Bridge Initiative wants to relitigate the HLF case, wholly endorsing arguments made by the defense that were soundly rejected by judge and jury, ultimately what it seeks to do in their factsheet is argue that Hamas should not be designated as a terrorist organization at all. They likewise condemn U.S. Treasury Terrorism designation efforts in general, despite these efforts being a mainstay of the effort to combat terrorism since 9/11.

The Jewish Journal describes the project’s factsheet noting,

“The fact sheet says that Hamas ‘was founded in Palestine in 1987 as a political and social organization, with an armed wing aimed at resisting the Israeli occupation of Palestine.’ It acknowledges that the United States designated Hamas a terror organization in 1997, but then states that designating Hamas as a terror group “has been criticized by legal scholars as being politicized by the State Department, and as raising issues concerning due process, equal protection, judicial deference, the chilling of free speech, and having ‘disparate impact on the Arab Muslim community.’”

The defenders of Hamas have long relied on the false distinction that the group has an “armed wing” which engages in violence, claiming the majority of the group merely performs otherwise legal work in the social and political spheres.  Ironically, Hamas’ own founder rejected the distinction between armed and unarmed wings, and the organization is tightly integrated. Terrorist activities take place under the direction of the group’s political leadership, as Matt Levitt, Author of “Hamas: Politics, Charity and Terrorism in Service of Jihad” has ably documented.

It’s no surprise that Bridge Initiative would be playing the role of Hamas apologist, given that its founder, John Esposito, has a history with the very Hamas network of which the Holy Land Foundation was the prominent member. Esposito served as a member of the advisory editorial board for the journal of the United Association for Studies and Research (UASR). UASR, which the federal government described as a Hamas “think tank”, was founded by Mousa Abu Marzook, currently deputy chairman of Hamas’ political bureau. UASR’s executive director and the editor of the journal of which Esposito was an advisor, Ahmad Yousef, who went on to serve as a Hamas spokesman.

Esposito’s Bridge Initiative is not alone among groups with questionable ties seeking to memory-hole the reality of the Holy Land Foundation Trial. The Charity and Security Network (CSN), a project of the Center for Effective Government (formerly OMB Watch), has been a leader in this regard. CSN also attempts to paint the Holy Land Foundation case as an overly broad smear of Muslim charities. As Sam Westrop of Middle East Forum has ably demonstrated, however, CSN itself receives funding and support from several charities with known links to terror finance.

First designated for its terror ties in 2001, and convicted in 2008, it seems that HLF’s partisans believe the time is right to proclaim these Hamas financiers as champions of virtue wrongly convicted. They are no doubt counting on the fact that few in 2020 remember the long trial or the copious documentary and surveillance evidence the government produced in the case. They likewise are convinced of their ability to falsely slander those experts who have studied the case as Islamophobes and bigots.

But it isn’t going to work.

The topic: the Trump Administration’s The Deal of the Century as laid out in the White House preliminary framework entitled, “Peace to Prosperity: A Vision to Improve the Lives of the Palestinian and Israeli People”.

For me there is no getting around the 181 page document’s declaration that a Palestinian State would have its capital city in an Eastern portion of Jerusalem. I have read advocates of the peace deal claim it will be parts of Jerusalem already dominated by Arabs. If that geographical Arab domination includes the Temple Mount those physical dimensions MUST BE rejected by Jews and Christians.

Jerusalem – 1948 Quarters and Divided 1949-67

BUT the part of the plan I am beginning to slowly inch toward maybe is the part that is driving Islamic terrorist leadership Arabs calling themselves Palestinians nuts is a significant swath of Jewish Settlement areas of Judea-Samaria (labelled the West Bank by conquering Jordanians in 1948) becoming a part of sovereign Israel which must be recognized for the plan to move forward.

The God Plan for Israel

On a personal level it is my belief for Israel is God’s plan of the Promised Land to the descendants Abraham, Isaac and Jacob/Israel. That means Arabs who refuse accept God’s plan should leave to Arab lands that practice hateful and intolerant Islam.

BUT I live in America and really don’t have a vote.

Caroline Glick tackles the duplicity of the Israeli Left which she indicates might be taking cues from the American Dem Party. If accurate, God have mercy on Israel and its probably brainwashed Left-Wing voters.

Israeli sovereignty and the fate of the Trump plan

On Wednesday morning, NeverTrump propagandist Bill Kristol told his MSNBC audience that Democratic chances of victory over US President Donald Trump will rise if Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is defeated in Israel’s elections on March 2.

Along the same lines, if Netanyahu fails to apply Israeli sovereignty to the Israeli communities in Judea and Samaria before the election, not only will he almost certainly lose those elections, his defeat will bury Trump’s peace plan and harm Trump’s reelection chances.

To understand why this is the case it is first necessary to understand the nature of the Blue and White party and its relationship to Trump and his peace plan.

After Trump’s peace plan was published, Israelis discovered significant problems with the map attached to the plan. Among other things, the map places large sections of Highway 60, which crosses Judea and Samaria from south to north outside Israeli jurisdiction. If left uncorrected, the designation will endanger the security of tens of thousands of Israelis whose communities will be rendered isolated enclaves. Since ensuring Israel’s ability to defend itself and its citizens on a permanent basis is a major goal of the plan, this omission was obviously an oversight. Netanyahu announced this week that he has assembled a team to work on the map.

So long as the map is not adjusted, members of Likud and other parties in the right-religious bloc Netanyahu leads will be unable to vote in favor of the plan, despite their support for Trump and for the plan overall.

This then brings us to Benny Gantz and his party.

Just before Gantz traveled to Washington to meet with Trump at the White House last Monday, it came out that his top campaign strategists, Ronen Tzur and Joel Benenson had both separately published multiple posts on Twitter viciously attacking Trump. Both men compared him to Hitler, called him a Russian agent and a racist. In other words, both men parroted Democratic talking points against Trump. (After his posts were reported, Tzur claimed that he no longer believed the things he had written.)

Whereas Tzur – like every garden variety Israeli leftist politico – apparently follows the Democrats on everything related to American public affairs automatically, Benenson shapes Democratic positions. Benenson served as Barack Obama’s senior political strategist in the 2008 and 2012 elections and as Hillary Clinton’s senior political strategist in 2016.

In 2015, Wikileaks published Clinton’s campaign manager John Podesta’s emails. Several email chains included internal campaign discussions in which Benenson participated. In two discussions, Benenson advised Clinton not to mention Israel in public events.

Now Benenson is directing Blue and White’s campaign, and there is little reason for surprise at the seamlessness of his move from Obama and Clinton to Gantz. The Israeli left has been intertwined with the Democratic Party.

In 2016 when Gantz was still a private citizen, he was strongly encouraged to enter the political fray by a public service company called Darcheinu, or “Our Way.”

Darcheinu is the successor to two organizations – V-15 and One Voice. One Voice was established in 2003 by Daniel Lubetsky, a Mexican-American Jewish businessman with close ties to the Obama administration. Lubetsky founded One Voice at the height of the Palestinian terror war to advance the establishment of a Palestinian state and an Israeli withdrawal to the 1949 armistice lines. PLO Chief and Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas’s son Yasser Mahmoud Abbas is a member of One Voice’s Trustees Advisory Council.

Ahead of the 2015 Knesset elections, One Voice formed V-15 as a spinoff to run a campaign to “change the government” – that is, to bring down Netanyahu. V-15’s campaign was directed by Jeremy Bird, Obama’s field director in his presidential races. It came under scrutiny from the US Senate when it was discovered that the Obama’ State Department funded its efforts.

Establishing a Palestinian state and fomenting an Israeli evacuation of Judea and Samaria replete with the expulsion of hundreds of thousands of Israeli Jews from their homes is a goal all three groups share with the Democratic Party. And like the Democrats, the goal places all three groups in opposition to Trump. Trump’s plan makes the establishment of a Palestinian state contingent on significant changes in Palestinian actions and positions. It also foresees Israel retaining permanently all Israeli communities in Judea and Samaria and the areas surrounding them as well as the Jordan Valley.

In recent years, Darcheinu continued V-15’s efforts to bring down Netanyahu. In 2017-18, it sponsored the weekly leftist protests outside Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit’s home demanding he indicts Netanyahu. Darcheinu also funded and promoted the 2018 campaign by the far-left Commanders for Israeli Security calling for the establishment of a Palestinian state and an Israeli withdrawal to the 1949 armistice lines.

Until 2019, Darcheinu was led by Israeli businessman Kobi Richter. Richter was one of the central activists responsible for forming the Blue and White Party last year. In an interview with Globes, Richter said that he paid for the polls that convinced Gantz to join forces with Moshe Yaalon, Gabi Ashkenazy and Yair Lapid.

According to officials with knowledge of the events, Gantz was well-aware of the substantive problems with the map attached to the Trump peace plan when he left Washington. And it is with this knowledge in mind that we need to consider what he did when he got back.

Upon returning to Israel Gantz declared that he intended to introduce the Trump plan to the Knesset for approval. Some commentators portrayed his move as proof that he supported Trump’s peace plan. But given his awareness of the problems with the map and the implications for the political right, the opposite appears to be the case. Gantz’s announcement can better be seen as a bid to subvert and discredit Trump’s plan and to discredit Netanyahu and Trump personally.

Without corrections to the map, Likud and other right-wing lawmakers who otherwise support the plan and enthusiastically support Trump will be unable to vote in favor of it in a Knesset vote. Forcing them to oppose the plan publicly would serve several interests shared by both Blue and White and the Democrats. It would provide cover for the majority of Blue and White lawmakers who, like the Democrats wish to bury the plan. With the media scope-locked on right-wing opponents of Trump’s plan, they will avoid scrutiny of their own views.

The sight of Likud lawmakers opposing the Trump plan would discredit Netanyahu in the eyes of his voters. They would view him as incompetent and treacherous and many will avoid voting on March 2 as a result.

In light of joint opposition to the Trump plan from Likud and Blue and White lawmakers alike, center-right voters will perceive the parties as indistinguishable and follow the media’s urging to vote for Gantz.

For Trump, a Knesset defeat of his plan, followed in all likelihood by the defeat of Netanyahu would demoralize and anger Trump’s evangelical Christian base. Blue and White would move quickly to bury Trump’s plan. The Democrats would use the Knesset’s opposition to the plan and Gantz’s support for their positions as proof that Trump’s pro-Israel bona fides are skin deep and that Trump’s overall Middle East policy is misguided.

In short, advised by Benenson, after enjoying Trump’s hospitality, and benefiting from the prestige a meeting at the Oval Office confers, Gantz raised an initiative that would cause grievous political harm to Netanyahu and Trump and destroy any prospect of implementing any part of Trump’s peace plan.

And so we return to the issue of applying Israeli sovereignty in Judea and Samaria.

In light of the need to correct the mistakes in the map, it is clear that full implementation of Israeli sovereignty over the areas the Trump deal recommends will take time and will be impossible before March 2. But it is still possible to implement a significant component of the plan in a manner that will avert the damage Gantz and Benenson are seeking to cause.

Gantz has studiously worked to prevent his party from being identified with the ideological left. To achieve this goal despite the fact that the majority of his Knesset faction holds leftist and far-leftist views, Gantz has used the two center-right lawmakers from his party’s minority Telem faction as his campaign’s primary spokesmen on television. Whereas Yoaz Hendel and Zvika Hauser are pushed in front of microphones to extol the virtues of extending Israeli sovereignty to the Jordan Valley, the majority of Blue and White lawmakers, who share Obama’s views, are hidden in the shadows.

Without changing the maps, and while postponing approval of the Trump plan itself, the Netanyahu government can pass a government decision to apply Israeli law to all Israeli cities, towns, and villages in Judea and Samaria immediately in accordance with the Trump peace plan. Doing so will energize right-wing voters. And it will also expose Blue and White.

Applying Israeli law to the Israeli communities will arouse strenuous opposition from the majority of Blue and White faction members. Their opposition to a move that the majority of Israelis support would demonstrate that despite its right-wing fig leaves, Blue and White is a leftist party. Swing voters from the center-right would get the message.

This then brings us to the Democrats. For years, despite their protestations of support for Israel and commitment to Israel’s security, the Democrats have adopted a policy towards Israel that revolves obsessively around their demand to destroy the Israeli communities in Judea and Samaria and transfer the areas Jew free to the PLO. The Obama administration was so hateful towards these communities that it pushed through UN Security Council resolution 2234 that slanderously called them “illegal” after Donald Trump was elected president.

By applying Israeli law to these areas while avoiding a Knesset vote until after the map is corrected, the Netanyahu government will deny Democrats the ability to use Trump’s peace plan against him. It will also demonstrate Trump’s commitment to Israel to his evangelical base. Most importantly, applying Israeli law to the Israeli communities in Judea and Samaria will take the issue of their future off the table and ensure that the Trump peace plan will survive into the next government, regardless of who wins next month.

Senior presidential advisor Jared Kushner has said that it would be best to wait until after the election to begin applying Israeli sovereignty to areas in Judea and Samaria. Under normal circumstances, he would be right. But given the larger context in which this issue must be judged, it is fairly clear that delaying the move until after the elections will cause great harm to President Trump, and effectively bury his peace plan while elevating the Israeli left and the Democrats.

PLO calls for terror against Trump’s deal: ‘Escalate the resistance and the struggle… in all its forms’

The inherent Jew-hatred is evident by Muslim Palestinians when their leaders call for violence EVEN before examining President Trump’s peace plan labeled The Deal of the Century. Not that even an examination would matter when a religion tells its adherents to hate anything refusing to bow to Islamic Supremacism.

PLO calls for terror against Trump’s deal: ‘Escalate the resistance and the struggle… in all its forms’

By Nan Jacques Zilberdik

Jan 28, 2020

Palestine Media Watch

PLO calls for terror:

“Escalate the resistance and the struggle… in all its forms and manners”

  •  Fatah: “We will redeem you with our blood, #Palestine”
  •  PA: “No” to Trump’s “deal of the century”

“#No_to_the_deal_of_the_century

In anticipation of the revelation of US President Trump’s Middle East peace plan – the so-called “deal of the century” – the PLO, the PA, and Fatah are emphasizing their rejection of the still unknown plan. They have also announced a “day of rage” on the day the plan is revealed, and called for “escalation of resistance” – a Palestinian euphemism for violence and terror.

Abbas’ Fatah Movement posted a photo of a Palestinian rock thrower in a call for violence accompanied by text implicitly encouraging Palestinians to seek death as martyrs for “Palestine”:

Posted text and text on image: “We will redeem you with our blood, #Palestine” (Official Fatah Facebook page, Jan. 26, 2020)

Similarly, the PLO urged Palestinians to “escalate the resistance and the struggle” against Israel “in all its forms and manners.” Terms like “all forms” and “all means” are ‎used by PA leaders to include the use of all types of violence, including deadly terror ‎against Israeli civilians such as stabbings and shootings, as well as throwing rocks and Molotov Cocktails:

“The [Palestinian] National Council (i.e., the legislative body of the PLO) again expressed its objection to every plan, project, deal, or attempt to harm the Palestinian people’s inalienable rights…  The National Council yesterday [Jan. 26, 2020] demanded that the PLO Executive Committee implement all of the National Council and [PLO] Central Council’s decisions – and foremost among them the decision determining that the transition period has ended with all of the political, security, and financial obligations in it towards the Israeli occupation – and also to take all the necessary steps to encourage and escalate the resistance and the struggle against the occupation in all its forms and manners.” (Official PA daily Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Jan. 27, 2020)

Palestinian groups also declared the day Trump announces his peace plan a “day of mass rage.” Palestinian Media Watch has documented that PA and Fatah leaders view “days of rage” as preludes to “intifadas” – campaigns of violence and terror.

The [Palestinian] National and Islamic Forces of the Ramallah and El-Bireh district have declared the date of the announcement of ‘the deal of disgrace’ as a day of mass rage in response to the American-Israeli aggression, on which the Palestinian people will say its piece in one voice: the deal will not pass, and our people is capable of thwarting it.” (Official PA daily Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Jan. 27, 2020)

The cartoon at the top above shows PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas holding his fingers up in a “V” for victory, but in place of his hand is the first word of the text: “No to the deal of the century.” (Official Fatah Facebook page, Jan. 23, 2020)

The PA presidency has also announced that “there is no discussion with the American administration, neither brief nor long,” and that its position is unwavering on “everything regarding the unacceptable deal of the century.” (Official PA daily Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Jan. 25, 2020)

Another Fatah post showed a tiny Trump facing a giant Palestinian rock thrower:

The following are additional posts against Trump’s peace plan posted by Fatah:

Text at bottom of image: “No to the deal of the century”

At the top of the poster is the Fatah logo that includes a grenade, crossed rifles, and the PA map of “Palestine” that presents all of Israel as “Palestine” together with the PA areas. Under the logo is written: “Palestinian National Liberation Movement ‘Fatah’ Mobilization and Organization Commission Information Office” (Official Fatah Facebook page, Jan. 26, 2020)

Posted text and text at bottom of image: “No to the deal of the century” [threatening] (Official Fatah Facebook page, Jan. 23, 2020)

Posted text and text on image: “Thanks to our people’s determination and resolve, the deal of the century will fall” (Official Fatah Facebook page, Jan. 26, 2020)

The following are longer excerpts of the texts cited above:

“The [Palestinian] National Council (i.e., the legislative body of the PLO) again expressed its objection to every plan, project, deal, or attempt to harm the Palestinian people’s inalienable rights…

In a statement, the National Council yesterday [Jan. 26, 2020] demanded that the PLO Executive Committee implement all of the National Council and [PLO] Central Council’s decisions – and foremost among them the decision determining that the transition period has ended with all of the political, security, and financial obligations in it towards the Israeli occupation – and also to take all the necessary steps to encourage and escalate the resistance and the struggle against the occupation in all its forms and manners (i.e., term used by Palestinians, which also refers to the use of violence and terror). This is in order to defend our people’s permanent rights, which [US President Donald] Trump’s administration and the occupation are attempting to eliminate through what is called ‘the deal of the century’ (i.e., refers to US President Donald Trump’s as yet unpublished Middle East peace plan, which he said he would reveal to Israeli leaders in late January 2020)…

Palestinian National and Islamic Forces – an unaffiliated coordinating body comprised of representatives from factions in the PLO and outside the PLO. The Palestinian National and Islamic Forces were established in 2000 shortly after the start of the PA terror campaign (the second Intifada, 2000-2005), under the authorization of Yasser Arafat and the leadership of terrorist Marwan Barghouti. During the PA terror campaign it played an active role in coordinating political efforts and terror attacks against Israel, but since the end of the campaign it has been less significant and its activity is primarily centered in Gaza.

Headline: “The Democratic National Coalition called to intensify the popular resistance”

The Palestinian Democratic National Coalition forces called to intensify the popular resistance (i.e., term used by Palestinians, which also refers to the use of violence and terror) in all of the Palestinian territories. The forces – which include the Palestinian Liberation Front (PLF, a terror organization and PLO member; see note below –Ed.), the Arab Liberation Front, the Palestinian Arab Front, and the Palestinian Popular Struggle Front (i.e., all PLO members) – discussed ways of intensifying the popular resistance against the settlement, after their meeting at the Popular Struggle Front’s headquarters in Ramallah…

The Democratic National Coalition forces called on the international community to pressure the extremist right-wing occupation government and [US President Donald] Trump’s administration, the occupation’s partner in its aggression against our people, to immediately stop the settlement and cease the attacks against the Palestinian national rights and sovereignty, in order to prevent pushing the region into a whirlpool of violence whose end will be bad and bitter.” (Official PA daily Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Jan. 24, 2020)

The terms “peaceful uprising/resistance,” and “popular uprising/resistance” are used by PA leaders at times to refer to peaceful protest and at times to refer to deadly terror attacks and terror waves. For example, ‎Mahmoud Abbas defined as “peaceful popular” the murderous terror during the 2015-2016 ‎terror wave (“The Knife Intifada”), in which 40 people were killed (36 Israelis, 1 Palestinian, 2 Americans and 1 Eritrean) and hundreds wounded in stabbings, shootings, and car ramming attacks. Abbas said: “We want peaceful popular uprising, and that’s what this is.” http://palwatch.org/main.aspx?fi=157&doc_id=16437

Palestinian Liberation Front (PLF) – A terror organization and member of the PLO. The PLF is headed by Secretary-General Wasel Abu Yusuf who is also a member of the PLO Executive Committee. The PLF has been responsible for numerous terror attacks, including the hijacking of an Italian cruise ship in 1985, in which one Jewish hostage in a wheelchair, Leon Klinghoffer, was shot, and then thrown overboard. The US has listed the PLF as a terror organization.

Headline: “The [PA] presidency: There is no discussion with the American administration regarding what is called ‘the deal of the century’”

“The Palestinian [PA] presidency emphasized yesterday [Jan. 24, 2020] that there is no discussion with the American administration, neither brief nor long. This was in response to American President Donald Trump’s statements, according to which ‘his administration spoke briefly with the Palestinians and we will speak with them again.’

The presidency again emphasized through its Spokesman [and PA Deputy Prime Minister] Nabil Abu Rudeina that the Palestinian position is clear and firm in its rejection of Trump’s decisions regarding Jerusalem (refers to his recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital; see note below –Ed.) and the rest of the issues, and everything regarding the unacceptable deal of the century (i.e., refers to US President Donald Trump’s as yet unpublished Middle East peace plan).” (Official PA daily Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Jan. 25, 2020)

Nabil Abu Rudeina also serves as PA Minister of Information, Fatah Commissioner of Information, Culture, and Ideology, and Fatah Central Committee member.

US recognition of Jerusalem as capital of Israel – On Dec. 6, 2017, US President Donald Trump formally recognized Jerusalem as Israel’s capital. Trump added that the final borders of Jerusalem will be determined during negotiations.

The US embassy was transferred from Tel Aviv and opened in Jerusalem on May 14, 2018, the anniversary of Israel’s declaration of independence in 1948 according to the Gregorian calendar.

About PMW

Founded in 1996, Palestinian Media Watch (PMW) is a non-profit Israeli research institute known internationally for its in-depth research of Palestinian society from a broad range of perspectives. PMW’s findings are sought after by governments, legislators, media outlets, and decision-makers worldwide and have played a central role in correcting inaccurate narratives about the Israel-Palestinian conflict.

PMW’s reports on the Palestinian Authority’s promotion and glorification of terror — which include paying salaries to terrorists; naming schools, sporting events, and public spaces after terrorists; promoting terror in children’s TV programs and schoolbooks, and so much more — have fundamentally changed the way the world sees the Palestinian Authority.

PMW’s exceptional team of Arabic language researchers spends countless hours monitoring, translating, and analyzing PA-controlled newspapers, TV shows, radio programs, social media sites, and schoolbooks to understand the messages the Palestinian Authority and other Palestinian leaders send to their people.

Translated from the original Arabic source, PMW’s findings document a decades-long pattern of the Palestinian Authority’s indoctrination of READ THE REST

Update to The Palestinian Myth

I don’t write or post my Pro-Israel disposition as much as I would like. TO BE CLEAR though I am quite the Christian Zionist (Though extremely critical of so-called Replacement Theology) in the sense I firmly believe God Almighty Promised Land to the descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Moses and Joshua led those direct descendants out of Egyptian captivity to the Land of Promise eventually named after Jacob’s God-given name Israel. And all the history of acquisition and expulsions and reacquisitions is not even close to complete since modern Israel is only a fraction of the Land Promised by God Almighty.

With that brief yet incomplete belief statement that is Pro-Jewish and Pro-Israel, I discovered Peter Baum added some more information about faux Palestinians. In full disclosure I did my best to corroborate Baum’s information with some source links.

Update to The Palestinian Myth

From Peter Baum

If any further proof were needed that the Palestinians are nothing more than an Arab Nationalist political group established in the 1960’s and never existed as a people, culture or race then the 1st census as noted below is that proof.

Absolutely no mention of either Palestinians nor Felastinians as a people, race, nation or religion.

Another thing I wanted to bring to your attention is that the very 1st Census done in the area was by the Jesuit priest Adriaan Reland [WikiZero] in 1697 by the authority of the Ottoman empire. The study written completely in Latin was published by Willem Broedulet, Uthrect, in 1714.

The study called: “Palaestina ex monumentis veteribus illustrata” [According to Google Translate Latin-English: The Palestine Monument old Illustrate – I found a pdf version 669 pgs. in Latin].

And I quote the major finding: Members of the region are mainly concentrated in the areas of Jerusalem, Acre, Safed, Jaffa, Tiberius and Gaza. In all these places the majority of the residents are Jews, Christians and very few others. Very few Muslim who are Bedouin came to serve as seasonal workers in agriculture or building trade.

Furthermore the census also says that the population of Jerusalem at that time was about 5000 people, mostly Jews, few Christians and very few Muslims.

Know The Facts

The Palestinian Myth by Peter Baum

In previous posts I have exposed various myths regarding the anthropological miracle and history of those Arabs defined by others as Palestinians.

It is abundantly apparent that –

a) not one historical Palestinian or Fellastinian individual of historical profile existed for the period 3000 BC to 1964 AD nor

b) was there any record during this period ( 3000 BC to 1964 AD ) of any wars or battles fought by Palestinians or Fellastinians against foreign invaders (Romans, Umayyads, Byzantines, Persian, Crusaders, Kurds, Ottomans etc.) in an attempt to ‘regain’ captured Jerusalem or ‘Palestine’. I guess the Palestinians were not around during these 4964 years but were miraculously created in 1964 with the help of the KGB.

Moreover, given the religious claims the ‘Palestinians ‘ have over their beloved Jerusalem and the geographical land mass they believe has been their homeland since time immemorial it is indeed ironic, bewildering and astonishing to say the least that that the words – Canaan (which is where the Palestinians now tell everyone they originate from), Israel (the land not the people), Judea, Jerusalem nor Palestine are ever mentioned in the Koran.

Muslims turn their backs on Jerusalem when praying in contempt. This originated when the prophet Mohammed ordered the slaughter of Jews who having converted to Islam (to avoid taxes) secretly maintained their Judaism. The prophet thereafter also ordered Muslims change their direction of prayer.

We are also told by modern day Imams that Mohammed ascended to heaven from the Furthest Mosque – apparently located in Jerusalem. This is simply historically impossible as he died in 636 and the Mosque in Jerusalem was not built until 715!!

Lastly and this is worthy of further debate. The Koran bequeaths the Holy Land to the Children of Israel (sura 5.21) [Blog Editor: For Quranic context read Sura 5.21-26. It is interesting Sura 5 if written chronologically would have been numbered 112 out of 114 and written from Medina; hence Islamic abrogation means this surah is more valid than the 111 preceding suras.]. Any Muslim who is fighting for this land (the Palestinians) are in total defiance of the Koran. Many pragmatic Imams who recognize this fact are suggesting that the current turmoil in the Muslim world, the violence and the Shi’a, Sunni divisions is directly related to the Palestinian claim on Jerusalem in total defiance and indeed mocking the Koran.

Ironically when Jordan had control of Jerusalem 1948 – 1967, they moved and located all Government offices to Amman to dilute the importance of Jerusalem. Furthermore not one Arab Head of State visited Jerusalem while under Jordanian occupation. Thus other myths exposed …

  • Jerusalem is not and has never been important to Islam. I repeat it is NEVER mentioned in the Koran. Therefore you will not be surprised to learn that it was NEVER mentioned in the PLO charter of 1964!

There are numerous historical quotations verifying the non-importance of either Jerusalem to Islam and the myth of the ‘indigenous Palestinians’ to the land mass. I have selected just some.

Ibn Taymiyyah [See Also Ibn Taymiyyah Explained] 1263 – 1328, one of Islam’s foremost historical scholars [The National Interest (though a bit too critical of Trump) nails Ibn Taymiyyah influence on today’s Islam] wrote: ‘…In Jerusalem there is not a place one calls sacred and the same holds true for the tombs of Hebron’.

The other myth that we have recently exposed is the numerical absurdity of Palestinian refugees. The generally accepted current (but fictional) narrative is that in 1948 there were supposedly 700,000 Palestinian refugees forcibly removed from their homes by the Zionists. Now in 2018 and a after a ‘genocide’ committed by the Israelis there are now 7 million Palestinians.

Human reproduction records have been blown out of the water by the sex craved, abundantly productive Palestinian women. If British women could reproduce at the same rate the population of London would be 85 million and New York City would be 120 million! [Blog Editor: Something to dwell on as Multiculturalist bring millions of Muslim refugees to Europe and America!] And all that without a genocide! Both the original and current refugee figures have been grossly exaggerated for political purposes but seem to go unchallenged by both the media and our Parliamentary representatives. Moreover there is sufficient evidence to verify the majority of Arabs entered Palestine on the back of Zionist economic growth and were never indigenous to the area.

Tewlik [or Tawfiq] Bey El Houran [or al-Hourani], Governor of Houran Province in Southern Syria stated in an interview with La Syne August 12th 1934, ‘that in the last few months 30000 to 36000 Syrians had entered and settled in Palestine. [Blog Editor citation: The Origins of Arab Settlers in the Land of Israel; By Rotem Nimkovsky; MiDA; 5/16/18]

Interestingly there is an enormous amount of evidence which contradicts the Palestinian narrative about forceful removal by Zionists. Below are just a selection of articles / essays which run counter to the volley of lies spewed out over decades by Palestinians and their anti-Semitic and intellectually backward supporters.

  • Emile Ghoury , Secretary of the Palestinian Arab Higher Commission in an interview with the Beirut Telegraph Sept. 6 1948 …… ‘The Arab States which had encouraged the Palestine Arabs to leave their homes temporarily in order to be out of the way of the Arab invasion armies. have failed to keep their promises to help refugees’

  • The Jordanian daily newspaper Falestin Feb. 19 1949 ….. ‘Who brought the Palestinians to Lebanon as refugees , suffering now from the malign attitude of newspapers and communal leaders, who have neither honor nor conscience? Who brought them over in dire straits and penniless after they lost their honor? The Arab States and Lebanon amongst them did it’.

  • The Beirut Muslim weekly, Kul-Shay , Aug. 19 1951…… ‘The 15th May 1848 arrived…on that day the Mufti of Jerusalem appealed to the Arabs of Palestine to leave the country because the Arab armies were about to enter and fight in their stead’.

  • The Cairo daily Akhbar el Yom, Oct. 2 1963….. ‘For the fight and fall of other villages it is our leaders who are responsible because of their dissemination of rumours exaggerating Jewish crimes and describing them as atrocities in order to inflame the Arabs….By spreading rumours of Jewish atrocities, killings of women and children etc. they instilled fear and terror in the hearts of the Arabs in Palestine until they fled, leaving their homes and properties’

  • The Jordanian daily newspaper Al Urdub April 9 1963 editorial stated – … ‘I could go on and on with this forgotten or deliberately obscured history. But you get the point. There was no Jewish conspiracy to chase Arabs out of their homes in 1948. It never happened. There are instead plenty of historical records showing the Jews pleading with their Arab neighbors to stay and live in peace and harmony. Yet, despite the clear unambiguous words of the Arab observers at the time, history has been successfully rewritten to turn the Jews into the bad guys’.

Joseph Farah, Arab historian and journalist – ‘The worlds collective amnesia ‘ Sept. 19 2002 is a masterpiece of investigative detection which far more elegantly and eloquently exposes the Palestinian myth in ‘Myths of the Middle East’.

‘There has never been a land known as Palestine governed by Palestinians. Palestinians are Arabs, indistinguishable from Jordanians – another recent invention , Syrians, Iraqis, etc. Keep in mind that the Arabs control 99.9 per cent of the Middle East lands. Israel represents one tenth of one per cent of the land mass. But that’s too much for the Arabs. They want it all. And that is ultimately what fighting Israel is about today…no matter how many land concessions the Israelis make, it will never be enough’.

These historical, recorded articles are evidence enough but what is even more interesting perhaps is the fact that none of the Arab journalists or historians refer to the displaced people as Palestinians. They are called Arabs. The genre ‘Palestinians’ did not exist. The truth is that circa 70 % of Arabs who left in 1948 – and truthful estimates are around 250,000 to 300,000, never saw an Israeli soldier. The Arab States initiated the war and never accepted responsibility despite their enormous wealth, to assimilate their Muslim refugee brothers in largely under populated Arab nations. The Arab public relations machine has been hugely successful in blaming this international tragedy on the Jews and the charade continues to this day. The suffering of the Arab refugees is perpetuated only for political purposes by the Arab States. As at the time of writing it is apparent that this farce is being gradually challenged politically. The Palestinians have been used as pawns to destroy Israel. After WW2 there were some 100 million refugees – all bar the Arab refugees have been successfully integrated and millions of Jews, ethnically cleansed from Arab States have been absorbed into tiny Israel. It is a geo-political and human absurdity to expect Israel to solve a refugee problem it did not create.

Now here comes the sweetest part of my essay – almost orgasmic for someone of my political ideology. There exists further historical evidence, reconfirming such articles highlighted above that totally debunks the Palestinian narrative. And it comes not from rabidly obsessed Zionist fanatics but from Arabs, Islamists, and former and reformed enemies of the Jewish State.

Abd al-Mahdi, Arab Ambassador [or “A local Arab leader”] before the Peel Commission 1937 … ‘There is no such land as Palestine. It is a term invented by ZIONISTS (capitals intended). There is no Palestine in the Koran. Our land was for hundreds of years part of Syria’.

Professor Philip Hitti, Arab historian 1946: ‘There is no such thing as Palestine, absolutely no such thing’.

Ahmad Shukan 1956 Arab League Ambassador to the UN – ‘Such a creature as Palestine does not exist at all. This land is nothing but the southern portion of greater Syria’.

[Blog Editor: “Ahmad Shukan” has been difficult to locate in various search engines. So here is a similar name from the era speaking of faux-Palestinians – Ahmed Shukari (also spelled Shukeiri among other Arab to English transliterations): – Israpundit – ‘PLO founder, Ahmed Shukari. Already in 1956 he proclaimed from the UN podium, as the Arab League’s ambassador there, “Such a creature as Palestine does not exist at all. This land is nothing but the southern portion of Greater Syria”’. – Think-Israel: HADRIAN’S CURSE –– THE INVENTION OF PALESTINE: ‘All the same, there is nothing like the testimony of the founder of the P.L.O. himself, Ahmed Shukari. Already in 1956 he proclaimed from the podium of the U.N., as the Arab League’s ambassador there, that “such a creature as Palestine does not exist at all. This land is nothing but the southern portion of Greater Syria…”’]

Zuhair Mushin [Blog Editor: It’s interesting that Wikipedia entries in various languages differ with English Wikipedia presenting the most positive perspective. The various language entries highlights the difficulty in translating an Arab name to a Western language. Wikipedia: English – Zuheir Mohsen, GoogleTranslate Italian – Zuhayr Muhsin and GoogleTranslate German – Zuhair Muhsin], member of the PLO Executive Council 1967 [Wikiquote & similar at Center for Online Judaic Studies (COJS)]: ‘There are no differences between Jordanians, Palestinians, Syrians and Lebanese. We are all part of one nation. It is only for political purposes that we carefully underline our Palestinian identity…yes the existence of a separate Palestinian identity serves only tactical purposes. The founding of a Palestinian State is a new tool in the continuing battle against Zionism’.

Hafez Assad [Jewish Virtual Library and Tyrants and Dictators of History], Syrian ex-Dictator to the PLO: ‘You do not represent Palestine as much as we do. Never forget this one point. There is no such thing as a Palestinian entity or people. There is only Syria.’

Walid Shoebat, a former PLO terrorist stated [Myths, Hypotheses and Facts – Similar — NY Sun; Live Leak- Why do Palestinians really want an Arab state inside Israel?]: ‘Why is it that on June 4th 1967 I was a Jordanian and overnight I became a Palestinian? We did not mind Jordanian rule. The teaching of the destruction of Israel was a definite part of the curriculum, but we considered ourselves Jordanian. Then all of a sudden we were Palestinian – they removed the star from the Jordanian flag and all at once we had a Palestinian flag. When I finally realized the lies and myths I was taught, it is my duty as a righteous person to speak out’.

Fathi Hmad, Hamas Minister of the Interior and head of National Security on Al Hakma TV, March 23 2012, in an abortive attempt to appeal to Egyptian donors: ‘…every Palestinian in Gaza and throughout Palestine can prove his Arab roots – whether from Saudi Arabia, from Yemen , from anywhere. So where is your affection and mercy? We have blood ties. Personally all my family is Egyptian. We are like that, brothers. Half of the Palestinians are Egyptians the other half Saudis. Who are the Palestinians? We have many families called Al-Misr who have roots from Egypt. They may be from Alexandria or Cairo , from the North, from Aswan, from Upper Egypt. We are Egyptians Arabs Muslims’.

Fathi Hammad (Hamas Interior Minister):

“We all have Arab roots and every Palestinian, in Gaza and throughout Palestine, can prove his Arab roots- whether from Saudi Arabia, from Yemen, or anywhere. We have blood ties.

Personally, half my family is Egyptian. We’re all like that. More than 30 families in the Gaza Strip are called Al-Masri (“Egyptian”). Brothers, half of the Palestinians are Egyptians and the other half are Saudis.

Who are the Palestinians?

We have many families called Al-Masri, whose roots are Egyptian. Egyptian!

They may be from Alexandria, from Cairo, from Dumietta, from the North, from Aswan, from Upper Egypt.

We are Egyptians. We are Arabs. We are Muslims.”]

Religiously and historically there is no justification for a Palestinian State.

Legally there is no such claim but this is subject to another separate post as it is rather boring and complex.

To prove me wrong please give me the names of indigenous Palestinians- not families who from their names originated from other surrounding countries. Or give me the names of any wars or battles Palestinians fought against invaders from time immemorial to 1947. And the names of their leader!!!

The further a society drifts from the truth the more it will hate those that speak it’’ – George Orwell

THE SERPENT AND THE RED THREAD: The Definitive Biography of Evil

November 30, 2019

Israpundit

AMAZON BOOKS

The Church of England  just shared it’s report Titled “God’s Unfailing Word: Theological and Practical Perspectives on Christian-Jewish Relations,”

The 121-page report said attitudes towards Judaism over centuries had provided a “fertile seed-bed for murderous anti-Semitism,” and that Anglicans and other Christians must repent for the “sins of the past,” as well as actively challenge anti-Semitic attitudes or stereotypes.

The Serpent and the Red Thread is a book, a documentary, about the oldest, most irrational evil: Jew hatred; told through the voices of Biblical and historical figures. Ms. Weber Bederman takes you on a journey through time, sharing the presence of history and our collective memories, beginning where all time begins: The Garden of Eden, where we meet the serpent who has in his mouth the red thread which he takes with him as it connects evil through time. Ms Weber Bederman has chosen to incorporate the Chinese literary device, the red thread, to connect the most evil of humankind, the Amaleks of history. The ones who spread irrational hate.

All of the events  are historical, factual, and sometimes shared through the stories of the characters: Abraham, Sarah, Isaac, Jesus, Paul and hitler. One need not be a student of the bible or history to follow the travels of the red thread woven by the serpent from the Garden to the present.

The Red Thread of Evil has found yet another home in the hands of another group, the followers of the religion of Allah, who are intent on accomplishing what no other regime or culture had been able to do: to wipe the Jews off the face of the earth. Alarmingly, they have found many in the West who make themselves willing accomplices in the campaign of lies and distortions against Israel and the Jewish people elsewhere.

This latter-day incarnation of Evil frequently finds accomplices among young people, uneducated and uninformed and easily taken in by extremist diatribes.

That is why it is so important that this small volume with its treasure of information presented in a readable, even gripping narrative is placed into the hands of a wider public, but most especially impressionable youths in universities and high schools. A timely document that will enlighten those who are receptive to thought and the truth.

PRAISE FOR THE SERPENT AND THE RED THREAD

Diane Weber Bederman is very passionate in understanding the evil mindset behind hatred against Jews. Her book ‘The Serpent and The Red Thread’ is a sort of short history of historic incidences related to this evil mindset. This book may provide a reference to our present day world leadership in terms of curbing this hatred. Dealing with controversial and messy religious and political history is not an easy task. Holocaust denial and growing antisemitism can never be addressed precisely without addressing the root causes of these hateful attitudes. — Tahir Aslam Gora TV producer

Poetic, mystical, and prophetic, ‘The Serpent and the Red Thread’ is a unique, unflinching look at the history of Jew-hatred from Biblical era persecution through the Holocaust to today’s Muslim Brotherhood. It is an essential reminder that the Jewish people have always been stalked by evil, and yet always prevail. — Mark Tapson, Shillman Fellow at the David Horowitz Freedom Center and author of Chivalry and the War on Men

It is quite an achievement. It’s the kind of project–terrifying, daunting–that most writers wouldn’t even contemplate, let alone carry through–and you did it with style and power. It is riveting. — Janice Fiamengo, Professor of English at the University of Ottawa

Drawing upon history and characters like Abraham, Sarah, Isaac, Jesus, Paul and ‘hitler’, Bederman lays bare the human dichotomy between good and evil, and love and hate. Exposing the tug-of-war within the human soul and influenced by cultural impact, this book provides a creative, enlightening and much needed crash course in human responsibility. The Serpent renders an inescapable call to confront one’s deeper consciousness and the question to one’s self: can one remain neutral and in denial in the face of egregious evil without bearing a degree of culpability? as witnessed in the Holocaust. — Christine Douglass-Williams, International award-winning Journalist and best-selling Author of The Challenge of Modernizing Islam

From humanity’s first encounter with evil up until our present time, author Diane Weber Bederman lays out the unparalleled, irrational hate of the Jewish people. With often chilling prose, she takes us down the historical paths of nations, religions and ideologies to uncover the webs that trapped and devoured the people who gifted the world with compassion and ethics. Citing often unfamiliar sources, the author unravels the thread of hate that ran through primitive times yet also through the likes of the Enlightenment. It was the progression birthed in the Enlightenment that promised to better society, It was the same progression that set the stage for the unparalleled and unprecedented pinnacle of enmity – the Holocaust. Passionate, personal, and presenting the facts, this is much more than a book. It is an indictment on a world that has forgotten that the mass industrial murder of 6 million Jews on Europe’s soil was done in the name of culture and progression. It is a cry from the heart, a warning. The serpent of antisemitism has never been apprehended. It is on the loose again and it’s ravenous for Jews. Today it leashes it’s venom at the Jewish homeland. The author burdens us with the freedom of choice. Whoever we are, we have a moral duty to combat this hate that in living memory saw to the annihilation of millions of human beings in the name of progression. — Kay Wilson, author of The Rage Less Traveled

‘The Serpent and the Red Thread’ chronicles the miasmal hatred, pogroms, and ruthless antisemitism that continues to persecute the Jewish people today. Bederman manages to bring beauty to this horror, which makes her book an engrossing read for students and scholars alike. Diane Weber Bederman offers the reader a fascinating documentary of antisemitism and its inspiration from ancient times until today. Bederman deftly follows the red thread of antisemitism that begins in the Garden of Eden, threads its way through the descendants of Amalek, Adolph Hitler, and finally into the 21st century where Islamic Jew hatred is Hitlerian in intensity. Antisemitism has managed to wend its way through time and civilizations in its inexhaustible efforts to destroy the Jewish people. The torch of antisemitism passes from generation to generation by leaders who look to history to rationalize their savagery. — Linda Goudsmit, author of Dear America: Who’s Driving the Bus? and children’s series Mimi’s STRATEGY

It has been called the oldest and the longest hatred. It has persisted through the millennia making its way through human history from Antiquity to Modernity. As such, it has been directed at a small group of people within a sea of vast multitude of people and singled it out for deprecation, persecution, and attempts at annihilation. Much ink has been spilled to account for, to explain and even justify and legitimize this phenomenon. Why the Jews? Is the puzzling question to which there is no plausible answer except for those who carry this evil in their hearts. Evil is the answer to be found in the small volume by Diane Weber Bederman which she titled ‘The Serpent and the Red Thread.’ Evil, she explains, has beset the world since the beginning of time – which in this version is associated with the Creation as described in the Hebrew Bible and the Garden of Eden. The beautiful parable of the serpent planting the seed of evil in the heart of the first humans highlights the eternal battle against the good. More often than not, it is the force of evil that seems to win out over a more benevolent inclination. The ultimate form of Evil finds its expression in the form of hatred of the Jews, or antisemitism in a modern-day coinage. The author takes the reader on the winding trail this Evil take in its variant forms – religious intolerance to cultural calumny formulated in Christian Church doctrine and the race theories that sprouted from the secularized modern era on and reached its culmination, its ultimate explosion under the Nazi regime. As the author weaves and spins out this thread—the Red Thread of Evil, she calls it in a felicitous metaphor—she gathers together an enormous amount of material that documents the poison spread by even some of greatest and most admired thinkers to the venom spewed by the evil incarnate in the person of Adolf Hitler. She takes the reader on a journey, a trail of tears and suffering experienced by few other groups. Yet, even after the most catastrophic event of the Nazi murder of millions, the evil of antisemitism that has hounded and pursuit the Jewish people is not extinguish. In fact, in recent years it has gathered strength and its poison has been spreading like an epidemic in the Middle East, where the Jews regained their ancient homeland, Europe, and even America. As the author states, the Red Thread of Evil has found yet another home in the hands of another group, the followers of the religion of Allah, who are intent on accomplishing what no other regime or culture had been able to do: to wipe the Jews off the face of the earth. A timely document that will enlighten those receptive to thought and the truth. — Brigitte M Goldstein, Ph.D., Historical Novelist

The Palestinian Myth

I found this very supportive rendition for a sovereign Jewish nation and the delegitimizing of nationhood of Arabs pretending to be Palestinians on a MeWe group a few days ago. It read much like past chain emails I had read in the past. Due to the “chain email” potential I did not want to place it on my blogs without checking it out even though I am quite the Christian Zionist.

What you are about to read I have validated noted by source links. Where minor errors existed I corrected them to a clearer factual contention than was in the original text. If you are a faux-Palestinian Muslim – boohoo. If you are Jewish committed to your heritage or a Biblical oriented Christian noting the prophetic return of Jews to their Land what that means for the return of Jesus the Messiah/Christ – yeah baby be excited.

The Palestinian Myth

I need help from anyone interested in exposing the anthropological miracle or should I say myth known as the ‘ indigenous Palestinians’.

If these so called people ever existed as a race, a culture, a tribe etc.; could anybody assist me with the answers to the following questions.

  1. Name and dates of any wars or battles fought by those identifying themselves as indigenous Palestinians against any foreign or domestic invaders during the period 3000 BC to 1948 AD.

  1. The name of any indigenous Palestinian leader during these wars in this period.

  1. The place of any building constructed by indigenous Palestinians during this period.

  1. The currency used by indigenous Palestinians.

  1. Where in the Quran or Bibles are the indigenous Palestinians mentioned?

  1. What do indigenous Palestinians call themselves in their indigenous language? There is no sound for the letter ‘P’ in Arabic so if the Palestinians in their mother tongue (assuming it’s Arabic) must call themselves Filastinians. This is the Arabic for Philistines who came from Greece and the name derives from the Hebrew word Pleshtim which means invaders. The Philistines became extinct in 1200 BC, So maybe today’s Palestinians think they miraculously were reborn from an extinct race of Greek invaders??? [Blog Editor: Got Questions depends on Biblical asserting Greek origin of Philistines. Two articles reporting on a 2019 archaeological science publication asserts southern European origins implying Greek Islands influence: a) Biblical Philistines Came from Europe, Ancient DNA Reveals; by News Staff; Sci-News.com; 7/4/19 AND b) Ancient Greeks the Biblical Philistine Enemies of Jews, DNA Study Claim; By Philip Chrysopoulos; GreekReporter.com; 7/4/19]

  1. Where is it written that Jerusalem is connected to the indigenous Palestinians? I cannot find the answers to any of the above questions but perhaps someone out there knows….my guess is that indigenous Palestinians are a myth and that those currently identifying themselves as such were simply immigrants from surrounding countries who came to today’s Israel for work created by the economic benefits that Zionism created. [Bold text Blog Editor’s]

We do know that the Palestinians sided with the Nazis during WW2 [Blog Editor – SEE: HERE & HERE] and both the Palestinian Charters of the Palestinian Authorities [Blog Editor: Actually the Palestinian Authority (PA) didn’t come into existence until 1994 via the Oslo Accords. Prior to the PA the primary representative group of Arab Faux-Palestinians was the Palestine Liberation OrganizationGatestone Institute-2016 (PLO – more origin info: The New American-2009 & BREITBART-2015) of Arab-Islamic terrorists. The subsequent dates are PLO Charter dates]  of 1964 and 1968 [PLO Charter Analysis] and the Hamas Charter of 1988 demand the extermination of Jewish people and the subservience to Islam of all other races and religions…..

As an interesting aside, International Law is immutable regarding Israel’s legal borders which include Judea and Samaria (the West Bank) and Gaza.

The League of Nations Treaty of 1922 which includes the Mandate for Palestine, the San Remo Treaty and the Balfour Declaration are specific on this geography and thus Israel’s borders are defined to include both.

When the United Nations [Full UN Charter] took over from the League of Nations all previous Treaties were included, endorsed, honoured legally unchallenged and unchanged as per Article 80 [Article 80 implications for a Jewish nation – HERE & HERE].

The international binding legal principles of Acquired Rights and Estoppel further endorse the immutable legal position of Israel.

War Crime!: Placing a Note in the Western Wall

Alan Dershowitz

Alan Dershowitz is a Left-Winger. Or at least I’ve always believed so. BUT his recent support of Constitutional law that benefits President Trump rather than fellow Leftist Dems has led to place Dershowitz as more Center-Left than Left-Wing. AND NOW I just finished reading an article that fully supports Israel sovereignty over religious sites that have a Judaic history over pseudo-Palestinians who desire to usurp that Israeli sovereignty.

War Crime!: Placing a Note in the Western Wall

By Alan M. Dershowitz

  • I urge all visitors to join me in a conspiracy to violate the UN Security Council Resolution…Obama, himself, engineered the Resolution. He pushed it through the Security Council despite some reservations by other members, including Egypt, which believed that the Resolution itself could become a barrier to a negotiated two-state solution. After all, if Israel’s control over Judaism’s holiest site is deemed illegal, then Israel would have to negotiate its legality with the Palestinians.

  • These Jewish areas were illegally occupied by Jordan between 1948 and 1967 and lawfully recaptured by Israel in a defensive war, started by Jordan when it fired mortars at civilian targets inside pre-1967 Israel…. Yet there were no United Nations Resolutions, campus protests or other organized shows of opposition by the international community. Only after Israel liberated these historically Jewish areas, did the world, and Obama, decide — in violation of international law — that they were illegally occupied.

  • Declaring the Western Wall to be illegally occupied territory is akin to declaring the Vatican, Mecca or other religious, holy sites to be occupied by those who pray at them. The Western Wall is lawfully part of the nation state of the Jewish people. It will remain so as long as Israel exists. If there is to be any hope of peace between Israel and the Palestinians, the world must recognize that historic, moral and legal reality.

Last week, in Israel, I committed a flagrant violation of international law. This “war crime” consisted of placing a note asking for “peace, salaam, shalom” in the Western Wall, Judaism’s holiest site. The reason the note requesting peace constituted “a flagrant violation of international law” and a “war crime” is that the United Nations Security Council, in a Resolution adopted in December 2016, declared that all areas captured by Israel during the 1967 War are illegally occupied territories. That includes the Western Wall, the Jewish Quarter of the Old City of Jerusalem and the access roads on Mount Scopus to the Hebrew University and Hadassah Hospital.

Former US President Barack Obama demanded that his permanent representative to the United Nations not veto this one-sided, wrong-headed, ahistorical, bigoted, and anti-peace Resolution. Obama changed American policy by allowing such a resolution to be enacted by the Security Council as revenge on Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who, quite correctly, opposed the very bad deal Obama made with Iran enabling it to develop nuclear weapons.

Although Obama himself had once stood in front of the Western Wall and placed a note in it, he now apparently regards Judaism’s holiest place as territory illegally occupied by Israel. He is dead wrong, but that does not change the Security Council Resolution.

So now I, and doubtless many others, have not only willfully and deliberately committed a violation of international law, we are also guilty of a war crime, because building or using civilian structures on illegally occupied territory is a war crime; and Israel built, and I used, the promenade in front of the Western Wall after Israel recaptured it during a defensive war.

Let me be clear: I intend to commit this crime during every visit to Israel. Call it an act of civil disobedience, or call it an act which simply recognizes the absurdity and illegality of the Security Council Resolution, despite its passage and lack of veto by the United States, which abstained.

The United States abstention was designed to give the Obama administration political cover at home. It could claim that it did not vote for the Resolution. But it did much more than vote for the Resolution. Obama, himself, engineered the Resolution. This would give the Palestinians an incomparable bargaining chip. As a former Prime Minister of the Palestinian Authority once rhetorically asked me, “How much would Israel be willing to give up to get back its most important religious shrine?”

Israel will never accept the Security Council Resolution. Nor should any decent person. I certainly do not, and will continue to violate it during every visit to Israel, by putting notes in the Western Wall, eating kosher falafel in the Jewish Quarter and driving on the access road to Hebrew University, and if I need to, Hadassah Hospital. I urge all visitors to join me in a conspiracy to violate the Security Council Resolution.

These Jewish areas were illegally occupied by Jordan between 1948 and 1967 and lawfully recaptured by Israel in a defensive war, started by Jordan when it fired mortars at civilian targets inside pre-1967 Israel. During the Jordanian occupation, King Hussein engaged in war crimes by ordering the destruction of ancient synagogues, burial places and other historical sites and by “ethnically cleansing” this historically Jewish area of all Jews. Yet there were no United Nations Resolutions, campus protests or other organized shows of opposition by the international community. Only after Israel liberated these historically Jewish areas, did the world, and Obama, decide — in violation of international law — that they were illegally occupied.

Declaring the Western Wall to be illegally occupied territory is akin to declaring the Vatican, Mecca or other religious, holy sites to be occupied by those who pray at them. The Western Wall is lawfully part of the nation state of the Jewish people. It will remain so as long as Israel exists. If there is to be any hope of peace between Israel and the Palestinians, the world must recognize that historic, moral and legal reality.
