Tulsa Police Chief Targeted Paul Fields 1st Amendment Rights

About a year ago Tulsa Police Officer Paul Fields was punished by demotion and suspension for disobeying orders to attend the religious services of the Radical Islamic Mosque the Islamic Society of Tulsa (IST).
It has been discovered that the punishment Fields received was indeed retaliatory in nature. Such a retaliation and for that matter the punishment implemented in the first was a violation of Fields’ First Amendment Rights of Religious Freedom. No one should be required to attend a religious service involuntarily ESPECIALLY a tax supported Public Servant.
IST is a subsidiary of the national organization Islamic Society of North America (ISNA). IST’s property is managed by the North American Islamic Trust (NAIT). ISNA joins the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) as an unindicted coconspirator in the Holy Land Foundation (HLF) in which HLF leaders were convicted as using charity to funnel money to the Islamic terrorist organization Hamas. Of course Hamas is the subsidiary of the Muslim Brotherhood which has the international goal of establishing an Islamofascist global Caliphate in which all people are under the intolerant legal system of Sharia Law.
This is the scenario that Paul Fields refused to attend even though the event was a Tulsa Police Appreciation Day at the Mosque. Now that you know the pedigree of IST you have to realize such a Mosque organized display of appreciation was a propaganda moment to convince the Tulsa community that their form of Islam is not dangerous. AND of course that is hogwash because Radical Islam is dangerous for American security and our Liberty minded culture.

Wow.
It’s been nearly a year since ACT! for America held a rally in Tulsa in support of police Captain Paul Fields. After the rally we submitted a petition to the city with over 50,000 signatures demanding Captain Fields be reinstated.
You may recall Captain Fields was disciplined because he refused to attend events at a local mosque, which included sitting in on Muslim teachings.
Our friends at the Thomas More Law Center filed suit on Captain Fields’ behalf. What recently surfaced in sworn testimony confirms what we have maintained all along—that Captain Fields’ superiors retaliated against him.

‘Creeping Shariah’ hits city in American heartland

In a case spotlighted as an example of “creeping Shariah” in the United States, attorneys for a Tulsa, Okla., police officer have asked for a summary judgment because a police official inside the department testified the officer was punished for exercising his rights.
The statement was included in a motion for summary judgment in the case brought by Capt. Paul Campbell Fields against the city of Tulsa, Chief Charles Jordan and Deputy Chief Alvin Webster.
Fields sued when he was punished with a two-week unpaid suspension and a demotion for refusing department orders to attend an event at an Islamic mosque in which officers observed Islamic worship services, heard an explanation of Islamic beliefs and were proselytized.
As a Christian, Fields believed the order violated his rights to freely exercise his own faith, but the department determined he was refusing a lawful order and punished him.
A hearing is set for later this year in the case, but lawyers with the American Freedom Law Center and the Thomas More Law Center, who launched the case, have filed for the judgment.
In the brief, they point out that Maj. Julie Harris, Fields’ immediate supervisor, “candidly admitted during her sworn testimony that the police department retaliated against [Fields] for exercising his constitutional rights.”
She told the department’s internal affairs investigation looking into Fields’ actions, “If somebody had some deep, deep, deep religious conviction, and as long as there was no crime that they needed to investigate, there’s no need for me to force this (Islamic mosque attendance) on anybody.”
She concluded that the charges against Fields should not be sustained, according to the brief, and later “was subjected to retaliation” herself because of her statement.
The brief reveals that during depositions in the dispute, Harris was asked, “Do you believe the department took adverse action against [Fields] for exercising his rights?”
“Yes,” she responded.
She also was asked, “If you believe Capt. Fields had a deeply held religious conviction opposing that order, [then] he would have a right to oppose that order based on that conviction?”
Again, she responded, “Yes.”
The city police department did not respond to a WND message requesting comment on the developments.
Robert Muise of the AFLC told WND the case is an example of the enforcement of Islamic religious law, or Shariah, across the nation today through various courts, orders and precedents.
He noted that in Fields’ case, never before had officers been ordered to attend a so-called “law enforcement appreciation day,” until the local mosque leaders decided to hold one. Then, the attendance became mandatory.
“This is indirectly the enforcement of Shariah, where if you say anything that’s contrary to Islam, it’s blasphemy and punishable,” Muise explained.
“This is very anti-Christian and an attack on Judeo-Christian values.”
“It’s almost stealth jihad,” he said.
Muise said it wasn’t until the last few years that he’s encountered such actions in the U.S. But he’s also battled similar conditions recently in Dearborn, Mich., and other locations where Islam is given precedence over other faiths.
“All of these discussions about hate speech and signing onto these U.N. charters and transnational rules and regulations to guard against hate speech … these are just enforcement of Islamic blasphemy laws. We have the First Amendment for a reason,” he said.
He said in Fields’ case, the officers was punished for refusing to attend another faith’s worship service and be proselytized.
The motion was filed in federal court in Oklahoma, where the case is scheduled for a hearing in November.
“In light of the undisputed facts and controlling law, Capt. Fields is entitled to a judgment in his favor that the city and its senior police officials violated his clearly established constitutional rights by ordering him to engage in conduct that was contrary to his Christian beliefs and then punishing him for not obeying the unlawful order,” said Muise.
The order for Fields to attend the mosque event was in February 2011. The event was held March 4, 2011, a Friday, which is the “holy day” for Islam.
The legal team explained, “The so-called ‘appreciation day’ included ‘Mosque tours,’ which involved religious proselytizing, meeting ‘Local Muslims & Leadership,’ watching the ‘weekly congregational prayer service,’ and receiving presentations on Islamic ‘beliefs,’”
The complaint notes the Tulsa organization is affiliated with the Council on American-Islamic Relations and the Islamic Society of North America – both “unindicted, co-conspirators and/or joint venturers in the 2008 Holy Land Foundation terrorism financing trial.”
ISNA, the case explains, is the “largest Muslim Brotherhood front in North America.”
The Tulsa organization has had featured speakers such as Imam Siraj Wahhaj, “a Shariah-adherent Muslim who promotes the destruction of Western civilization and the creation of an Islamic caliphate,” according to the lawsuit.

Attention to those who live around the Tulsa, OK metropolitan area!
ACT for America is sponsoring a rally for Paul Fields a Tulsa Police Department Officer unjustly punished for refusing to attend a Police appreciation day event at the Islamic Society of Tulsa (IST) Mosque. I understand that Fields was suspended without pay and demoted for refusing to attend the Mosque. IST is closely associated with the Muslim Brotherhood which is a radical Muslim branch of Islam, you know, the kind of Islam that wishes Muslims to follow a purist ideology which is largely responsible for Islamic terrorism today.
KNOWING this about IST and that Chief Chuck Jordan punished Paul Fields for refusing to attend a meeting at a Mosque associated with Radical Islam and knowing that IST was going to embark on a proselytizing Islamic message, Fields was fully within his Constitutional rights inherent in the First Amendment to refuse attendance WITHOUT an expectation of retribution.

On Tuesday, August 30th, ACT! for America Executive Director Guy Rodgers and National Field Director Kelly Cook will be in Tulsa, Oklahoma, for our rally calling for the full reinstatement of Captain Paul Fields.
As you are probably aware, Captain Fields has been significantly punished by the Tulsa Police Dept for respectfully declining to attend a mandatory Friday afternoon indoctrination in a local Mosque. There was no call for police protection, only a mandate that the officers attend the Islamic worship service. It only became a mandatory requirement after Fields declined the initial “voluntary” request that he be there!
Can you imagine what would have happened if a Muslim police officer had been required to attend a Sunday morning worship service at a Christian church? The “politically correct” would have come unhinged—and frankly that is why this would never happen. The double standard on display here is breathtaking.
Captain Fields’ First Amendment rights have been violated. We refuse to stand by and let a good man be punished for simply following his personal convictions!

Paul Fields is a Tulsa Police Department Captain that was punished by his Chief Charles Jordan for refusing to attend the Islamic Society of Tulsa’s (IST) Law Enforcement Appreciation Day. The so-called appreciation day was more than a demonstration of appreciation for Tulsa cops. The police officers that were required to go (the voluntary option was taken off the table when an extreme few signed up) to the Mosque also had to listen to a proselytizing Muslim sermon.
I had posted earlier that the IST has links to the Muslim Brotherhood who in turn has links to the Islamic terrorist organization known as Hamas AND Hamas has one goal of existence; viz., to kill Jews and destroy Israel. You would think that Hamas would have the sole goal of establishing an Arab State to be named Palestine. These are the kind of people (NOT MODERATE MUSLIMS) that TPD officers were forced to listen to with a directed sermon which had the purpose of converting them to purist Islam which the Muslim Brotherhood stands for.
With Paul Fields in mind ACT for America has sent out an email that combines the injustice brought down of Fields because of the IST and the Obama Administration’s revelation that they are going to engage with the Muslim Brotherhood with ongoing negotiations concerning Egypt.
As ACT for America points out, both items of news appear to be unrelated; however when the totality of the picture is observed it becomes apparent that President Obama is cozying up to the enemies of America. This is the same enemy that IST subscribes to!
