Help Persecuted Christians

There is a war against Christianity. In the West, that is expressed by Leftists and Muslim apologists as portraying Bible believing Christians as perpetrators of bigotry and hate-speech. The bigotry accusation results from standing up for Biblical Morality because Free Speech, Religious Freedom and Freedom of Conscience allow the choice to be immoral. Religious Freedom is used as an excuse to allow counter-cultural (i.e. non-Western) practices (e.g. intolerance socially) to protect the hatred of one religion (e.g. Islam) and accuse another religion (e.g. Christianity) intolerant. It might be considered intolerant for say a Christian to say Christian beliefs are superior to say Islamic beliefs. The Christian spreading the message of Salvation is labeled a bigot while the angry Muslim gets a pass by reacting onerous violence.
Then there is the war against Christianity in which Christians are the minority yet hated simply for being Christians. The classic example of this is the genocide of Christians in Muslim dominated nations because the very existence of a Christian asserting their human and civil rights is offensive to Muslim. An offended Muslim is a murderous Muslim and the murdered is sanctified against Christians by Muslim holy writings.
Open Doors sent an email that demonstrates the fear Christians deal with on an everyday basis in a Muslim nation. Below is the story of Abella from Open Doors.

Our peace comes from heaven—not from earth.

Dear Friend of the Persecuted,
Horrified how Egypt, Libya and other countries experienced violent leadership turnovers, the whole world is now watching Syria, where the death toll has reached 7,100.
And no one knows what to do.
The UN is split on its vote for a resolution calling for President Bashar Assad to step down. Protestors want more freedom from the harsh and mistrusted regime while some Islamic groups want freedom to rule and force their faith on all Syrians. It’s difficult to imagine a happy ending.
Abella*, a girl in her early twenties, gives a mature perspective:
“In the beginning I was so afraid. Every night when I went to bed, fear sneaked in because of all the news I heard and watched on television.”
“But one day I got a text to remind me about practice with our Peace Choir—that’s what we call our choir. I asked myself how I could be part of a Peace Choir without having peace in my heart.
“I got convinced again that my peace comes from heaven and not from earth.”
Christians in dozens of countries around the world experience the same fear each night as Abella. But when they receive Bibles, discipleship training and practical support from Open Doors they too, through all the violence and uncertainty, are able to find peace in Christ.
There is something you can do. You can help Christians like Abella around the world discover peace and hope through the ministry of Open Doors.
Your prayers and support have never been more critical.
May God’s Peace be in us all,
Carl Moeller
